"I saw that! You disgusting pervert! How could you do such a thing? I'm taking you to the Counselor immediately"
Faculty Member (in-game when you're caught taking panty shots)

"That blood... so, it was YOU!"
Teachers (in-game, once they see you near a crime scene all bloody)

"Senpai noticed me... at the worst time..."
Ayano, if Senpai sees her with a weapon.

I can't feel anything. For as long as I can remember, I've never been able to feel emotions. I pretend to be normal when I'm around other people, but on the inside, I feel nothing. It's not as bad as it may sound. I know that I'm broken, but I don't care. This is normal for me. But everything changed when I met him… my Senpai. For the first time, I felt something. A strong desire. A longing. A yearning. A craving. Now I finally understand what it means to be human. To be alive. I'm addicted to the way he makes me feel. I don't care about anything else. He is everything to me. And now, someone is trying to take him from me. She wants him, but not in the same way that I want him. She could never appreciate him the way I do. She doesn't deserve him. He belongs to me alone. She has taught me a new emotion… Rage. I want to stop her. I want to hurt her. I want to kill her. There is nothing I won't do for Senpai. I won't let anyone come between us. I don't care what I have to do. I don't care who I have to hurt. I don't care whose blood I have to spill. I won't let anyone take him from me. Nothing else matters. No one else matters. Senpai. Will. Be. Mine. …He doesn't have a choice.
Ayano's second intro monologue (outdated)

"Something is...wrong...with me. For as long as I can remember, I've always felt...empty. Incomplete. Like a part of me is...missing. This hollow feeling has dominated my life. I've never been able to feel anything else. My world has always been cold...dark...silent. My mother was exactly like me when she was a child. But when she met my father, everything changed for her. He brought warmth and color and life into her world. He made her...complete. She told me that one day, I'd meet someone special, just like she did. Someone who would cure me...fix me. I've spent my entire life waiting for that day...dreaming of the moment when I'd meet the one person who would complete me. It was the only thing for me to look forward to. It was my only reason to live.
And day...I found him. When I met him, something changed inside of me. My world was filled with color and light. It was like I had opened my eyes for the first time. I felt warm. I felt complete. I felt...alive. He is my escape from the cold, grey, empty world I've been trapped in. He is the one I've been waiting for. The person I want to spend the rest of my life with. trying to take him from me. She wants him, but not in the same way that I want him. She could never appreciate him the way I do. She doesn't deserve him. He belongs to me. I have to stop her. Even if it means hurting her. Even if it means killing her. There is nothing that I won't do for him. I won't let anyone come between us. I don't care what I have to do. I don't care who I have to hurt. I don't care whose blood I have to spill. I won't let anyone take him from me. Nothing else matters. No one else matters.
He. Will. Be. Mine.
He doesn't have a choice."
Ayano's third intro monologue.

"It would be very easy to make your death look like a suicide. Don't ever cross me again."
Ryoba Aishi threatening the Journalist

"Looks like it still works… as long as it's recording, I might as well say something… How long has it been since I last used this thing? It's been at least two decades… almost three? Those were better times. I was so young back then. My future seemed… so bright. I remember following my dreams, I remember a promising career, I remember being… happy. If I could turn back time… what would I do differently? …I know… I know exactly what I should have done… I shouldn't have gotten involved with that case, with that girl. Pursuing her was the right thing to do… but if I hadn't involved myself with her, I'd still have a career. When did it begin? I think it was… April of 1989, the peak of my career as an investigative journalist. That's when I heard about a murder at a local high school. The police had no leads. I decided to investigate it, myself. I tried to be a hero… and that was the worst mistake of my life."
The Journalist in his first tape

"…I …I have… feelings… for him… I've never felt this way about anyone before… and I can't bear the thought of seeing him… with anyone else… I know that this is a selfish request… but… please… don't take him away from me. Let me try to win his heart."
Ayano, being frank with Kokona

"If I Can't Have You… one can."
Ayano in Snap Mode, just before killing Senpai.

Game Developer

"I would like to avoid having a protagonist with a strong personality or sense of identity, because the character could be polarizing for players who don’t relate to her. Instead, I would like for “Yandere-chan” to be more of a blank slate; an indifferent, apathetic, empty girl. Her emotionless nature will explain how she is unable to feel empathy for others, or feel guilty about committing murder. She is meant to be a vessel for the player, rather than be a deep character. The player’s actions will most likely determine what kind of personality she demonstrates at the end of the game; depending on what kind of actions the player takes, she could turn out to be a murderous psychopath, a cunning manipulator, or a sweet and innocent girly girl."
YandereDev, Lewdgamer, An interview with Yandere Dev

"Those of you familiar with Yandere Sim’s backstory may be aware of the ghost easter egg. Yandere-chan’s mother was also a yandere girl in high school, and killed a female student in one of the school’s bathrooms. The player can actually see the ghost of the girl that Yandere-chan’s mother killed by walking into the bathroom and taking a picture. But what if that ghost had a chance to take revenge on Yandere-chan’s mother, by thwarting her daughter? The ghost might decide to channel all of her energy into gaining a physical form, and romancing Senpai-kun before Yandere-chan can confess to him."
Yandere Dev DLC suggestion

"Remember, Yandere-chan is not a good person. She's a monster."
YandereDev, 10/8/2015 update

"As you can see, our prisoner is no longer watching us as we move around the room, and she's no longer twitching either. This is because we have completely destroyed her mind. There are no traces of a human left inside of her. She is permanently broken. Forever. *Beat* Let's bring her to school!"
YandereDev regarding the state of Saki Miyu after Yandere-chan finishes torturing her

"I don't know about you, but I prefer to solve my problems by kidnapping pretty girls and tying them up in my basement."
YandereDev, June 1st 2016 update

"Remember: Yandere-chan is not a good person. She hurts people to get what she wants. Even if you choose to spare your rival's life, someone else will still have to suffer..."
YandereDev, June 1st 2016 update

"After all, at its core, Yandere Simulator is a horror game. Where you are the monster..."

"If I had to say whether or not Yandere Simulator is serious or not serious, I'd say that a grim, dark, serious protagonist has been dropped into a lighthearted cliche anime setting. Imagine a cute, sweet visual novel, but one of the background NPCs goes nuts and starts killing everybody. Imagine an innocent dating simulator, but one of the characters in the background is killing off the cast whenever they are offscreen.

"High School" is a setting, and "Anime High School" is a specific sub-genre in that category. "Anime High School" is going to have stereotypes, tropes, cliches, and stuff that you probably wouldn't find believable in many other settings, but you have to accept it, because it's Anime High School. I'm going to use realism when it's useful for game design, and disregard realism when it's an obstacle to game design. I'm going to have cliche characters when I think those stereotypes are funny and amusing, and I'm going to have some characters completely subvert your expectations when I think it would make for a great twist. But, it won't be one solid consistent thing all across the board."
YandereDev, concluding a long rant lambasting a critic who called the game "superficial"

"A game in which you are a girl that is obsessed with her boyfriend. You do your best to make sure you are the only person that he will love at all times by killing any other girl that may or may not be interested in him. Sounds pretty crazy, right? This is not a joke. This is actually the idea of this game. It may sound weird, but it is actually a lot of fun and there are a lot of things that occur in Yandere Simulator game that you will find pretty funny if you like weird games like this."
James Fleckenstein, Rocky Bytes, on Yandere Simulator free download

" The Hitman-like (yes!) stealth game is, 'about stalking a boy and secretly eliminating any girl who seems interested in him, while maintaining the image of an innocent schoolgirl.'"
Steven Hansen, Destructoid, describing this game

"This new update brings the ability to eavesdrop, write notes, and throw students off the roof and make it look like suicide. As far as I know, the only student you can do this to is the girl with purple twin drills."
Aaliyah Bandy, Gamespresso, on describing the new update

"En una de sus últimas versiones, su desarrollador YandereDev nos ha conmovido insertando en el juego la posibilidad de electrocutar a otras alumnas en el baño, deshacerte de los cadáveres escondiéndolos en cubos de basura así como desnudar a Yandere-chan" Translation
Pablo López, Rocky Bytes - Spanish, on Yandere Simulator

"Teacher! This girl†  died of natural causes! And this boy‡ needs to die of natural causes!"

"Ooh! Hey girls! How co— I was not invited?! Maybe my cat disguise was too good, and they didn't think I was at school, so they didn't invite me? NO. I think Best Friend betrayed me. And because of that, Best Friend must pay." *proceeds to murder everyone via ritual knife* "Sorry Best Friend you made me do this! You all made me do this! All of you, for not inviting me!!"

"Love is hard. If there's one thing I've learned today, it's that sometimes, killing everyone doesn't win you the heart of the one you love. But it damn sure helps."

"Let's take this knaifu… AND END THIS BITCH'S LAIFU!
