Peter Sydney Ernest Lawford (nee Aylen, September 7, 1923 - December 24, 1984) was an English actor and socialite best known for for being a member of the Rat Pack in the early 1960s ... until he fell out with Frank Sinatra.
He was married to Patricia Kennedy (younger sister of John F. Kennedy — which was why Sinatra's nickname for him was "Brother-in-Lawford"), Mary Rowan, Deborah Gould, and Patricia Seaton. He had four children with Kennedy, including Christopher Lawford. His parents were Sydney Turing Barlow Lawford and Mary Sommerville Bunny.
His best-known film roles are The Picture of Dorian Grey (1945), Good News (1947), Ocean's 11 (1960) and The Longest Day (1962). After his acting roles dried up, he was better known for being Famous for Being Famous.
Lawford died in 1984 at the age of 61 from liver and kidney disease.
