    In General

    Shōtoku-taishi
    Ono no Imoko

Voiced by: Yuichiro Umehara

Rarity (Base): Medium
Element (Base): Wind
Shōtoku Taishi's close subordinate. It's not that he's not capable or hard-working – quite the opposite, in fact – but his biggest wish is for Taishi to just give him a goddamn break once in a while.
    Mononobe no Moriya

    Nakatomi no Kamatari

Rarity (Base): High
Element (Base): Dark
A very hard-working politician who strongly advocates peace and is so dedicated to his work he has no hobbies and has a tendency to be The Sleepless. He is Fuhito's cousin.
  • Does Not Like Spam: None.
  • Exhausted Eye Bags: Courtesy of sleeplessness.
  • Improperly Paranoid: He's way more fearful than necessary, constantly having seemingly irrational fears such as food being poisoned by strangers or assassins out to get him somewhere.
  • The Sleepless: It's not uncommon for him to forgo sleep because of work, which explains the bags under his eyes.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: None.
  • Western Zodiac: Sagittarius (November 23).
  • Workaholic: One might argue he's even worse than another resident workaholic Shōtoku-taishi, because as his in-game profile suggests, he's so dedicated he does not like or dislike anything. No favorite food, no hated food, no hobbies. This guy literally needs to get a hobby.
    Nakanoōe no Ōji

    Fujiwara no Fuhito

Voiced by: Subaru Kimura

  • Alliterative Name: Fujiwara no Fuhito. Bonus points for also starting with the same Japanese sound.
    Soga no Iruka

Voiced by: Tsubasa Yonaga

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/detail_tachie_2iruka.png
Rarity (Base): High
Element (Base): Fire
The child of a wealthy family who is bratty, selfish and elitist as all hell, but can be pretty sweet from time to time. He is Umako's grandson and is only less bratty towards him.
We don't blame you if you call him an Ungrateful Bastard at this point.
    Soga no Umako

Voiced by: Ryota Takeuchi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/detail_tachie_7umako.png
Rarity (Base): Low
Element (Base): Light
Iruka's grandfather, an incredibly intelligent elderly man who works as an advisor. He is normally calm and collected, but gets annoyed when called an old man.
  • Formal Characters Use Keigo: His usual mode of speech is formal reflecting his gentleman and mannerly attitude.
  • Gentleman and a Scholar: A very intelligent man who is also gentle and polite. As long as his Berserk Button is not pressed, that is.
  • Old Master: There is no questioning his masterful ability, but don't call him old. He's also said to be the only person Iruka is afraid of.
  • Silver Fox: He is portrayed as attractive and a viable love interest despite being elderly.
  • Western Zodiac: Scorpio (November 7). Ironically enough, his personality is nowhere as unpleasant as stereotypes associated with this sign suggest.

    Ganjin

    Kibi no Makibi

Voiced by: Shintarō Asanuma

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/detail_tachie_10makibi.png
Rarity (Base): Very High
Element (Base): Fire
A highly intelligent scholar who works for the royal household. He is notably well-versed in deductive reasoning, to the point where it almost appears as if he can tell the future.
    Himiko
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dn_dgm7vqaamn23.jpeg
The only non-Men of Tsukuyomi human as well as the only female character to have a sprite in the entire game. Ruling Inishie at a young age, she longs to have friends and a normal childhood.
  • A Child Shall Lead Them/Young and in Charge: Barely a child, yet already the queen of Inishie.
  • Anachronism Stew: Inishie country represents the Asuka period, but the historical Himiko is from the earlier Yayoi period. Her historical counterpart is supposed to be dead before Shōtoku-taishi's rule began.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: She suffers from loneliness as a result of having to join royalty from an early age.
  • Japanese Honorifics: Addressed as Himiko-sama by Shōtoku-taishi. She later starts to use informal honorifics towards others, marking her considering them her friends, until Shōtoku-taishi asks her to stop.
  • Miko: She is tasked with performing rituals, including the one that opens the barrier between Hinomoto and the outside world.
  • The Smurfette Principle: The only named sprited female character in the entire game, and she isn't even voiced! Naturally, she isn't attainable or romance-able either.
  • The Voiceless: She shows up in person, she has lines, but she isn't voiced.
