I figured that it's the case.
Also, I'm male and don't understand the subject that much.
I'll be culling entries in Menstrual Menace, with the original at Sandbox.Menstrual Menace Original.
Edit 1: done.
Possible other new tropes: Exaggerated Period, PMS Analogy.
Edit 2: as for an index page, would Women's Mysteries be appropriate?

Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there! That trope is not just about menstruation.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSo I'll take that as a "no."
Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there! As I don't know exactly how this goes...
I'm asking for Menstrual Menace be renamed as Supernatural Period. I believe part of the confusion is its name, which makes it sound like All Periods Are PMS; it is, instead, about periods that do supernatural things. I am, however, wary of having Menstrual Menace be a redirect to Supernatural Period. Perhaps Menstrual Menace could be a disambiguouation page that links to Supernatural Period and All Periods Are PMS. An extreme option would be to redlink Menstrual Menace to dissuade its use.
Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there!I agree with renaming Menstrual Menace, as well as chopping the first paragraphs of the description as they make it hard to get to the description.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman...okay, how do I rename an article? Will I need an admin to do it?
Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there! We have a whole renaming procedure listed at When To Rename A Trope. I can do a bit of the scutwork there.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThank you.
Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there!A new YTTW, PMS Analogy, has been created.

Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there!Any status on the rename work?
Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there!I don't think we have had a proper pro/contra argument in terms of a rename.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe most obvious reason for a rename is that people think Menstrual Menace means All Periods Are PMS, I.E. Woman getting crabby that time of the month, as opposed to supernatural things happening due to a woman's period. Terraria's character page reflects it, having the Menstrual Menace entries mention they get cranky during a blood moon, but if it was the Menstrual Menace trope, their periods should be causing the blood moon.
Edit: in fact, the played straight example on Menstrual Menace's Playing With page, is, at best, ambiguous to the original trope's meaning.

Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there!Though I am convinced this needs a rename, I think a wick check is necessary.
agreed.
Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there! As soon as my computer is up again, I'll be doing said check.
Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there!Menstrual Menace is found in 123 pages. Here are some of the misuses:
- All Men Are Perverts (King of the Hill)
- Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
- Anime & Manga (Karin)
- Beat Bag (currently last entry of Live-Action TV section)
- Carnage
- Cathartic Scream (High Anxiety)
- Commitment Issues (Campus Safari)
- Competitors
- Da Yoopers
- Dirty Love
…And these are only from A to D. It would be shorter to list the ones that get it right. …Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there! We would like a wick check that lists all the correct uses in a list and all the misuse in a separate list.
That means, check all the wicks.

Not really "all the wicks"; here, 50 is enough.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell. I am once again not in a thinking mode.
Yeah, you can just check a smaller number of wicks, say every third one. Point is to report both wicks that use the trope correctly and those that do not.
I started a YKTTW for Puberty Is Evil some time back...would it tie into this?
yeah, the ones not mentioned are the ones that passed. If you want me to do another check properly, just say so.

Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there!Well, theoretically those aren't the only possible categories; something could be a Zero Context Example or otherwise unclear, not to mention we'd like to be able to compare the number of good uses to bad uses, or (in some cases) compare categories of misuse.
Okay, here it is:
- Added Alliterative Appeal: Trivia, won’t check
- A Hairy Problem: I know this to be correct.
- All Men Are Perverts: The King of the Hill example is improper.
- All Periods Are PMS: related trope, not checking
- Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy: improper use.
- DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything.Anime And Manga: Karin’s example is incorrect.
- Characters.Anti Cliche And Mary Sue Elimination Society: I’m not familiar enough with the work to say Harriet has this. Also, there’s not enough context to tell one way or another.
- Appease the Volcano God: Improper trope used. Something to do with a woman’s first period would be better.
- Applied Phlebotinum: Index, not checking.
- Beat Bag: The last example on the Live-Action TV section is wrong.
- VideoGame.Bioshock Infinite: Although it does fit, perhaps a trope about puberty would fit better?
- Blood Magic: Ambiguous: might be meant to be Menstrual Menace, might be All Periods Are PMS
- Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet: "Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder" is All Periods Are PMS on steroids.
- Bloody Murder: The Crimson Plague example is correct usage.
- Recap.Buffy The Vampire Slayer S 2 E 15 Phases: The trope linked in the quote in Getting Crap Past the Radar example is wrong.
- Recap.Buffy The Vampire Slayer S 2 E 16 Bewitched Bothered And Bewildered: The trope linked in the quote in the Cat Fight example is wrong.
- Carnage: Improper trope
- Carrie: Zero Context Example.
- Cathartic Scream: the High Anxiety example links to the wrong trope.
- Chaos Island: Stalker with a Crush example seems to use the wrong trope.
- Commitment Issues: Incorrect trope in the Campus Safari example
- Competitors: Improper trope (The Menstrual Menace entry specifically mentions PMS)
- Da Yoopers: There's enough words for it not to be a zero context example, but it's still ambiguous.
- WMG.Despicable Me: WMG, not checking
- Dirty Love: Zero context example.
- Dog Soldiers: ambiguous usage.
- Doom Patrol: Iffy, but I say it passed.
- Headscratchers.Dragons Dogma: improper trope.
- ElvenQuest: Ambiguous, but I'm saying improper trope.
- Epic Rap Battles of History: Proper usage.
- On second thought, it doesn't pass (see below).
- Characters.Epic Rap Battles Of History: Improper trope on Eve.
- Characters.Everybody Loves Raymond: The Debra Barone entry has the improper trope (as well as listing an aversion to No Periods, Period).
- Quotes.Fainting: The Game Of Thrones example uses the wrong trope.
- Quotes.Fallout Equestria: Ambiguous usage on the "mareheat" quotes.
- Gender and Sexuality Tropes: administrivia and index, not checking
- PlayingWith.Gender Restricted Ability: proper use.
- Gurren Lagann The Satire: improper trope.
- Hate Plague: the Real Life example at the end is using the wrong trope.
- Hemo Erotic:The jokes folder links to the wrong trope.
- Horror Tropes: Index, not checking
- Hyperdimension Neptunia: Fairly ambiguous, but I'm fairly certain that it's using the wrong trope.
- Hysterical Woman: Improper trope linked in description
- JesuOtaku: the Fun with Acronyms example links to the wrong trope.
- Karin: the Does This Remind You of Anything? entry uses the wrong trope.
- WMG.Katawa Shoujo: WMG, not checking
- Katy Perry: the No Periods, Period example uses the wrong trope.
- Lunacy: Improper trope linked in the introduction.
- Made Of Win Archive Late 2011: index, not checking.
- PlayingWith.Menstrual Menace: Many misuses!
- Laconic.Menstrual Menace:
- Menstrual Menace: Is it okay to link to itself?
- Menstrual Menace Original: archive, not checking
- YMMV.Modern Family: Improper trope on the Unfortunate Implications example
- Mood-Swinger: Improper trope linked in the description.
- Headscratchers. My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic Season 1 Episodes 14 To 26: headscratchers, not checking.
- Mystery Men: Decent example.
- Neptunia: Improper trope
- No Periods Period Sandbox: archive, not checking
- Norse Mythology: Zero context example
- Characters.Off The Page And Into Life: Zero context example for Gail Rubens
- Headscratchers.Old Kingdom: headscratchers, not checking.
- Oracle of Tao: proper use
- WMG.Panty And Stocking With Garterbelt: WMG, not checking
- Paradise: Improper trope.
- Paranoia Agent: Eh, iffy.
- Period Piece: improper trope linked.
- Perky Goth: The 1-800-Tech support example links to the wrong trope.
- Peter S. Beagle: Iffy, but I'll say improper use.
- Radar.Pokemon: Curbing the Crimson Tide example links to the wrong trope.
- Pokémon and Digimon RP: the Wangst example links to the wrong trope.
- Popular: Zero context, but I'm pretty sure it's improper
...Do I need to go on?

Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there!
If it is taboo, that's not a problem. We've cut sexual tropes (and indexes) not because they're taboo but because we have obsessed tropers who love posting in detail about their fetishes to the detriment of the site. I don't think that applies with menstruation.
