Misused: Menstrual Menace

If it is taboo, that's not a problem. We've cut sexual tropes (and indexes) not because they're taboo but because we have obsessed tropers who love posting in detail about their fetishes to the detriment of the site. I don't think that applies with menstruation.

I figured that it's the case.

Also, I'm male and don't understand the subject that much.

I'll be culling entries in Menstrual Menace, with the original at Sandbox.Menstrual Menace Original.

Possible other new tropes: Exaggerated Period, PMS Analogy.

Edit 2: as for an index page, would Women's Mysteries be appropriate?

That trope is not just about menstruation.

As I don't know exactly how this goes...

I'm asking for Menstrual Menace be renamed as Supernatural Period. I believe part of the confusion is its name, which makes it sound like All Periods Are PMS; it is, instead, about periods that do supernatural things. I am, however, wary of having Menstrual Menace be a redirect to Supernatural Period. Perhaps Menstrual Menace could be a disambiguouation page that links to Supernatural Period and All Periods Are PMS. An extreme option would be to redlink Menstrual Menace to dissuade its use.

I agree with renaming Menstrual Menace, as well as chopping the first paragraphs of the description as they make it hard to get to the description.

I don't think we have had a proper pro/contra argument in terms of a rename.

The most obvious reason for a rename is that people think Menstrual Menace means All Periods Are PMS, I.E. Woman getting crabby that time of the month, as opposed to supernatural things happening due to a woman's period. Terraria's character page reflects it, having the Menstrual Menace entries mention they get cranky during a blood moon, but if it was the Menstrual Menace trope, their periods should be causing the blood moon.

Edit: in fact, the played straight example on Menstrual Menace's Playing With page, is, at best, ambiguous to the original trope's meaning.

We would like a wick check that lists all the correct uses in a list and all the misuse in a separate list.

That means, check all the wicks.

Not really "all the wicks"; here, 50 is enough.

Yeah, you can just check a smaller number of wicks, say every third one. Point is to report both wicks that use the trope correctly and those that do not.

I started a YKTTW for Puberty Is Evil some time back...would it tie into this?

Well, theoretically those aren't the only possible categories; something could be a Zero Context Example or otherwise unclear, not to mention we'd like to be able to compare the number of good uses to bad uses, or (in some cases) compare categories of misuse.
