Well, it'll definitely mess around a bit with the concept of Personality Powers, but it might be more of a Decon-Recon Switch. (I'm still figuring out exactly what I'm doing.)

[down]You don't always know what you're capable of when you're asleep, right?

[up] It does sound like an interesting concept. Did you intend to make it seem like none of them really understand their powers or really know they have them?

Flux

Real Name: Jacob Crichton

Age: 27

Appearance: 6’2 Caucasian male, athletic build, mid-neck length dark hair and dark eyes. His typical outfit is a black leather jacket, jeans, and a white t-shirt. Rides a motorbike.

Abilities: Jason has the ability to sense, manipulate, and amplify magnetic fields, though he can only manipulate existing fields and cannot create new ones. In other words, unlike Magneto, Jason is not a living magnet but can control and levitate metal objects as long as a magnetic source is nearby. Since he can amplify electromagnetic fields, only a small source is necessary – typically, he wears a small permanent magnet on a chain around his neck and a magnetite ring on his right hand, which usually allow him to move objects up to the size of a fridge or large filing cabinet. Both the size of objects Jason can move and the level of control he has over them increase when he is near a more powerful magnetic source.

Personality: Chaotic Good. Jason is a wild card, a rebel, a rogue. He’s definitely a good guy, but he’s largely unpredictable and doesn’t like rules. He’s not a team player, but he will definitely back up his friends if he thinks they need it. If he doesn’t think they need it…well, that’s another story. On the other hand, if you do anything to his brother Simon, you will regret it.

Vision

Real Name: Simon Crichton

Age: 22

Appearance: 5’11 Caucasian male, slight build, short dark hair and eyes. No costume, usually dresses in black and wears dark sunglasses.

Abilities: Simon can see a far greater percentage of the electromagnetic spectrum than an ordinary human. While his brother Jacob can feel electromagnetic fields, Simon can literally see them. Magnetic fields, infrared, ultraviolet, radio waves…Simon can see it all, but that’s normally all he can do. Simon normally has the ability to choose what he can and cannot see, just like you or I could close our eyes or ignore the noise of a crowd to focus on a single conversation. After a point, though, there is too much for Simon to block out and he can become overwhelmed with visual information, just like the noise of a crowd can reach a level that is too high to ignore.

In times of extreme stress, Simon can absorb and release incredibly massive amounts of energy, essentially becoming a human superconductor capacitor. This has only happened twice in Simon’s life, and both times it nearly killed him and he took weeks to recover. At least one of those times, Simon knows his abilities were being affected by alien technology. Whether this ability is something Simon can normally do or if it is something he will ever be able to trigger, he does not know and does not really wish to know.

Tools: To combat sensory overload, Simon often wears specially designed nanotech sunglasses that filter the information reaching his eyes. The glasses have multiple settings, allowing him to block everything or to focus on a smaller portion of the spectrum at a time.

Personality: Neutral Good. Simon is a truly kind, gentle, caring individual who honestly does not want to hurt anyone. Simon can see what others cannot, not only when it comes to his abilities but when it comes to understanding and relating to people. Simon could become friends with just about anybody.

I have more...a lot more, but these two are the ones I like the most. It seems easy to me to come up with heroes, but villains I have a hard time with...I have a few ideas for villains I might post later, though.

(Haven't figured out a name yet)
Gender, Appearance: Varies.
Alignment: Petty and selfish, so I guess Neutral Evil.
Powers: He (sometimes she, but usually male) manifests as two people at the same time; a sort of Hive Mind. If one persona is destroyed but the other is left alive, he can regenerate a replacement. (Such an occurrence is usually self-inflicted, if a persona's cover is blown and/or has Outlived Its Usefulness and needs to start fresh.)

In my hypothetical story, this character takes up politics. He masquerades as a pair of (equally corrupt) Strawmen Political, manages to take control of a small district, and then keeps himself in power despite low approval by campaigning against himself in every election. (I haven't quite determined why, but again— petty and selfish.) His 'plot' is only discovered after another character runs against his personas as a third party, and he tries to have that character assassinated.

"I've come to the conclusion that this is a very stupid idea."

Un-reactor: Power is interesting, but I don't see anything that's actually too special about him. Why do you think he's unique? He actually reminds me a bit of Ted, from Heroes.

N: The name is inadvisable, since Pokémon, but he sounds unique all right!

Doctor Slecht: Slightly interesting, but I'd need to see him in action, semi-unique, I think.

Lola Kilton: Powers? Unique! Personality? Not so much!

Lasher: Lotsa text, and most likely prolly unique. So long as the execution keeps it up.

Aira Owess: Ahahah. She sounds amusing, in a straight man sorta way. Definitely unique!

Lucio: I see nothing of interest, except maybe the character design. Why do you think he's unique?

Atticus Lento: I think you're trying too hard.

Terrible Avenger: His backstory is mildly interesting, but not much else. Why do you think he's unique?

Queen Bee: Powers are certainly unique-ish. Personality? Ehhhh.

Libra: Purposefully PC? I am intrigued.

Nails: Sorta semi-unique in ability, fairly unique in back story, kinda ok in personality.

Windraiser: It's Been Done.

Flame and Frost: Sure, it's unique, but that's only because it's a complete gimmick

Whiteout: Powers are interesting, but not much to the personality.

Origami: Yeah. I'd say unique.

The Doctor: Yep. Interesting.

Mr. Cliché: Pfffffffffft. XD

Gizmo Girl: It's Been Done, and without the fanservice.

Flux: Does that mean he can control gravity to an extent? Other than that, not too unique...

Vision: Powers are interesting.

Haven't figured out a name yet: Yeah. I'd say an interesting/unique idea.

If you're still looking for ideas, here's one.

Basic Info: Name is Xavier Blackwell, AKA Card Trick. Male. Looks like he's in his mid-twenties.

Appearance: Averagely sized, fairly handsome. Long, greasy black hair, similar pencil-thin moustache/goutee, and violet eyes. Tends to wear a smug grin on his face, especially when fighting. Wears a dapper black suit with purple trim, white gloves, and a top-hat with a joker card stuck in the brim. He wouldn't be caught dead without his wand, even though he doesn't really need it.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral as they come. He does what he wants, even at the cost of his own well-being. The only rhyme or reason behind his actions is "Would it be amusing? Do it!" This chaos tends to make people think he's some sort of genius chessmaster playing everyone, when in reality he's simply an overgrown child who's been given whole lot of power (to be fair, though, he is scarily good at manipulating people).

Personality: Xavier is chaos incarnate. Anything that appeals to him, he takes. Anything that seems fun, he does. He does get wrapped up in big schemes, but those schemes were always born from random impulse. Despite his insanity, he is actually extremely crafty and a skilled manipulator, though his antics tend to be mostly harmless.

Mostly.

Powers: Technically, none. However, Xavier has honed the art of stage magic to such a ludicrous extent that he's blurred the line between reality and illusion, earning him the honorary classification of Mage. His "spells" are styled after classic magic tricks: appearing things, vanishing them, using knowledge he shouldn't have, etc.

[up][up] Well, maybe those ideas HAVE been done before, but the problem with originality is that it doesn't exist anymore - there's so many things out there it's hard to come up with ANYTHING new. Why else would there be so many Magical Girl shows?

And I should have mentioned, by "minidress" I meant a dress that comes to Gizmo Girl's knees - I'm not planning on my heroines having Stripperiffic outfits. Also, I was thinking about making her a Time Traveller, which would explain where she gets her gadgets when Reed Richards Is Useless.

Midas

(Full) Name: Christine Arianne Jennings

Gender: Female

Age: 64 (chronologically), 24 (physically)

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Appearance: 6’1, relatively short blonde hair, fair skin, light, compact frame, lithe, hazel eyes, strong but not quite obvious build. In her armored form, she looks largely like she’s wearing power armor, and her entire body is a stark, shining bronze-gold.

Powers and Abilities: The power to—through magic—create, destroy, and manipulate metal, as well as the power to convert most substances to any metal. Using these powers, she can transform into a metal, armored form, in which she has functional healing through her ability to create metal, and increased durability, strength, and speed. Due to mechanical augmentation and miniaturized jet boosters powered through fusion, she can also fly when transformed. Because of her abilities and the magic that grants them, she is functionally immortal, and no longer ages.

Personality: Quiet, understated, and reserved; very few actually, personally know her, and she does not associate much even with her fellow superheroes. She is enigmatic and largely an unknown factor, and the government(s) that rely upon her live in fear of the day she may decide to no longer serve their—or their people’s—interests, despite no evidence on her part to indicate dissatisfaction with them or their rule.

Bio: 7:14 AM, local time, 30 June, 1908.

The Sibir newspaper reported the following, in the days following June 30th: “As the body neared the ground (forest), the bright body seemed to smudge, and then turned into a giant billow of black smoke, and a loud knocking (not thunder) was heard, as if large stones were falling, or artillery was fired. All buildings shook. At the same time the cloud began emitting flames of uncertain shapes. All villagers were stricken with panic and took to the streets, women cried, thinking it was the end of the world.”

They were right.

Though it was not known at the time, the Tunguska explosion was in reality a prelude to much, much greater events to come. They would not find out, unfortunately, until later on, but the impact imparted upon twelve very lucky—or, perhaps, not so very lucky—individuals powers of both a devastating and magical nature. One of these twelve was Christine Jennings, born in 1884 in the rural Midwest United States.

Three years later, in Peru, one Hiram Bingham, American entrepreneur and explorer, rediscovered the remains of Machu Picchu, a temple-like structure in the mountains. While there, he uncovered a “Keystone,” which—much to his and, later, the world’s, dismay—activated, sending a signal across the world.

In the world’s oceans, trenches and fault lines across the bottom of the sea Erupted fully open, revealing something… other… which soon let forth unspeakable abominations through to wreck havoc upon an unprepared and unsuspecting Earth. Some areas—such as the Bermuda Triangle—had already suffered short bouts of these Eruptions, but now the gates were open fully, and Earth was to change irrevocably.

Cut to 1948: a world without the World Wars, The Roaring '20s, or the Great Depression. Instead, we have the Rapture War—in which the Twelve, their powers fully realized by the Eruption, assisted the military powers of Earth in dispatching the worst of the ocean horrors—and, thereafter, periodic but relatively small-scale invasions of various otherworldly creatures, who promptly attack a given country at certain, surprisingly strategic points. Though the enemy is only sporadic in its appearance, it is most certain organized and intelligent, as it targets infrastructure and significant leaders.

This, combined with both rampant conventional crime, superhuman villains endowed by the eldritch invaders, and corrupt “leaders” sabotaging the more well-meaning authority figures have rendered many of the world’s nations helpless to do anything other than desperately defend what they hold. In the midst of this, the Twelve—of which Christine, or “Midas,” as the public and press call her, is one of—work for various governments—the United States, for Christine—in an attempt to help alleviate the pressure on the conventional military forces.

And in this world’s Seattle, 1948, things are about to get rather interesting for Christine, Richard “Reflector” White—another one of the Twelve in the service of the US Government—and the Governor of Washington, Charles Grenville… Concept created partially as a response to this thread, and partially for a creative writing project for school (prompt for that is a “character-centered story”). I really am not fond of the setting, past the basic concept (which in my head was “monstrosities from heaven come to Earth, and they’re not happy with the locals, so super“heroes” are enlisted by the government[s] to fight them”).

I suppose this would be a comic book concept. I'm not very happy with the setting as it's currently laid out, but I suppose it's better than nothing. I've got a sort of All Myths Are True Ancient Conspiracy long-term plot idea sketched out, but otherwise...

Influences on this story included Iron Man, The Rocketeer, War Of The Worlds, the Lovecraft stories, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Greek mythology, among other things.

Is anyone still visiting this thread?

If they are, I have another hero idea:

Cobalt Comet - basically, your average Superman Expy, except she doesn't possess his vision or breath powers, instead using a special visor to either see through things or see very small things, depending on its setting. She wears a white top, blue pants, blue gloves, white boots, red cape and her visor is pale blue.

Yes, she's female. I had to make her stand out from the other Superman expies somehow, and changing the gender was all I could think of. Although...I was thinking of giving her telepathy. What do you think, is that too much?

Superhero Name: Doesn't have one, doesn't want one.

Real Name: Gavin Delaney (Technically he has a Ph D, but he doesn't insist on the 'Dr." unless you're irritating him.)

Gender: Male

Age: 28 (we have a bunch of 28s, huh?)

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral; is a hero only in the sense that he isn't a villain, so Anti-Hero.

Appearance: Mostly Caucasian, probably has some Mediterranean in there somewhere; olive-skinned; black, wavy Messy Hair only a few inches long; 5' 11'' and leanish in build; Perpetual Frowner; grey eyes that are constantly half-lidded as if he were half-asleep. Always dresses nicely, usually in black slacks with a nice button up shirt in a neutral color, and his lab coat thrown over, but wears tennis shoes and never wears ties or suit jackets. Has black-rimmed, thin rectangular Stoic Spectacles which he puts on when at the computer or reading, to help with eye-strain.

Powers, weapons, ect.: A mixture of Probability Powers, Clairvoyance and Reality Warping. For any possibility or outcome of any 'event' in the world, ever, he can immediately bring to mind the probability and to a certain extent he can manipulate it. For instance if he were, say, looking for his keys, he could think, "Are my keys on my kitchen counter?" and he'd get a percentage for that possibility. For instance he'd immediately know there is a 33% chance his keys are on the counter. If he wanted to he could change this probability, upping it to maybe 88% chance of them being there. Now when he goes to the kitchen counter there is a much higher chance they will be there, and he won't have to look for them anywhere else. The chance for anything is never 100%. He can use this ability to predict events in the future or past, manipulate events future or past, find things, know facts, and use them like Jinx-powers. He can't change the probability of events he has personally witnessed (for instance if he were shot, he couldn't change the probability that he was just shot. If someone else was shot, and he didn't see it happen, he could actually do this though. It has to do with physics. Also if he wants something to be somewhere, he can't be looking at the place.)

He was also trained in martial arts and firearms by his 'uncle' and has a Photographic Memory. Can also do ridiculous calculations in his head.

Personality: Extremely intelligent and far from a slacker, but he does things in his own time, being downright passive-aggressive when he thinks someone is trying to manipulate or control him. He often gives people the impression he doesn't care, and 90% of the time this would be a correct assessment. His parents were an Unholy Matrimony of very infamous and dangerous super-villains who were publicly caught and went to jail basically for life with no chance of parole when he was about ten so he was raised under strict surveillance by the government with routine visits to psychiatrists for psyche evaluations and counseling in the hope that he wouldn't go down the same path as his parents. He was fostered by a government agent, who he has a vitriolic but none the less close relationship, and considers him something like a close uncle despite the fact he doesn't show it much. This person wants him to be a super hero, but Gavin has absolutely no desire to be either a hero or a villain. He skipped a lot of grades and has a Ph.D. in Quantum physics, and works at a university.

He generally feels that if something doesn't affect him, than its someone's else problem, and thinks acts of villainy like taking over the world or robbing banks is too much of a hassle to be a viable occupation, and aside from that he prefers being a physicist. He doesn't especially dislike people, but he does find most of them tediously boring and generally not worth dealing with if he can remotely avoid it. If he doesn't like someone, you can tell, because he'll pretend to forget their name at every opportunity. Has a monotone voice and is usually very terse, when he uses humor at all it's incredibly dry, but mostly he just talks in monosyllables or 'hn' sounds until you go away or change the topic to something he actually finds interesting. He has never done anything outright villainous, but a lot of people secretly see him as a benign but still scary Mad Scientist. He has been known to make timid lab assistants cry by being unintentionally insensitive, or just by staring at them too long. His default expression gives the impression that he's judging you and finding you sorely lacking, but mostly that's just how his face looks. To judge you he'd have to care.

Basically everyone who knows him knows both that he has powers and that his parents were villains. He's sort of famous (or infamous) for that reason and occasionally he's recognized just on the street. he finds this annoying. He doesn't have a codename because he thinks by not having one it will somehow keep him out of the whole hero/villain thing, but mostly that's just wishful thinking on his part. Another reason he doesn't have one is because he claims they are silly and pretentious, but this could be sour grapes because he simply can't think of a codename he would actually want and even if he had one it would be pointless, everyone already knows who he is. Despite the fact that he doesn't want anything to do with heroing or villaining, he has a weird tendency to attract a lot of villain friends who he doesn't snitch on, but doesn't help in villainous activities, either. he won't step into a fight or disaster unless things are truly dire, but if there is a clash near his lab that disturbs his work, he's likely to kick both fighters asses as a warning to stay the hell away from his territory, and if you truly piss him off, your life just isn't worth living. He can rally to the hero's-side occasionally despite his better judgement for a good cause, with a bit of sucking up, and when his 'uncle' asks him for help he can't say no, though often he'll pretend not to for a while.

Ok, I don't know if anyone's still on here, but here's my idea:

Voodon - a mysterious man with sickly green skin, and the power to manipulate anyone via his VoodooDolls...as long as he has some of their DNA, of course (either a drop of blood or a lock of hair). He is willing to help anyone who makes a deal with him, but if you make a deal with Voodon, you MUST keep it. If you have a good reason for failing to keep your side, he'll let it slide, but if you don't...well, let's just say he'll make you PRAY for death. However, he does have one weakness - if he doesn't have your DNA, he's no match for you - just make sure he doesn't aquire any for the next time he challenges you. Also, there is one Glamour Failure feature of his Mind Control - anyone he "possesses" gains glowing green eyes and super strength. (Either villian or Anti-Hero).

This is one character I've been working on for my tabletop RPG group.

  • Name: Babbage
  • Real Name: Unknown; currently goes by the identity Michael Kruger
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 30-35
  • Alignment: Heroic, but more Anti-Hero-ish
  • Appearance: 5'11", about 170 lbs. Caucasian, short dark red hair, blue eyes (glow red when powers are active), mild German accent. Attire looks similar to Naked Snake's attire in Peace Walker (but gray and a different logo on the sleeves). Random circuit-board patterns decorate his face and body.
  • Powers, Weapons, Etc.: High-level technopath/machine control; accelerated intelligence (not a supergenius; just processes info at a faster rate). "Scanner-vision" allows him to analyze targets to determine weak points. (He's loosely based on Tom Noir from Black Summer). Wrist-mounted cannon fires "tankstoppers", i.e. extremely powerful projectiles. Utilizes a former HQ occupied by this universe's Punisher Expy.
  • Personality: From a possible early 22nd-century future, Babbage was primarily a soldier/bounty hunter most of his life (part of a group similar to the XSE). As a result, he tends to think more like special ops than traditional superheroics, which can occasionally infuriate other heroes that are a bit more lenient towards criminals. Having unintentionally arrived in our time seven years ago (along with two other teammates), he's had a difficult time adjusting to how heroes get things done. As he put it, "In my time, if you saw CSE agents nearby, you sought cover immediately, 'cause you knew things would get rough."

Powers, weapons, ect.: De-power, Super-Empowering, ability to discern a character's power and exactly how it works by looking at them, super speed, super reflexes, teleporting, non-lethal Hand Blasts.

Personality: Intelligent, Kind but strict.

He rarely uses the first two powers. The rest are only used as defensive powers. He's not made to fight, he's made to train superpowered people how to use their superpowers (by avoiding attacks at the last minute) and how to avoid attacks (hence the non-lethal hand blasts).

I think I may have have a character idea.

Name: Coast Guard (yeah, as in Coast City)

Real Name: Tabitha Logan

Gender: Female

Age: 28

Allignment: Heroic Neutral

Appearence: If Buffy The Vampire Slayer slept with Triple H, and she got him pregnant, Tabitha might be the result. A monster of a woman standing six foot three and weighing two hundred and twelve pounds, she is a stocky, solid woman who would define Stout Strength were she not so massive. Her intimidating physical presence is only aided by short cropped brown hair, giving all the appearance of a Butch Lesbian. This is capped off by her choice in clothing, tight jeans and jacket with biker boots.

Powers, weapons, ect: Her body racked by depression Tabitha jumped at the chance to try a experimental medication, which instead of a cure gave her enhanced strength, endurance and recovery powers, at the cost of her mind being flooded and her emotions going haywire. She must remain constantly active to keep a clear hear and ward off the now crippling illness.

Personality: Tabitha's sole goal is to set out to save lives. That is a key interpretation of how she operates as a hero, in that she has no interest in actively pursuing bad guys, villains, terrorists, ect. She may stop a gang from landing a killing blow on their victim, but will make no effort to pursue them and even allow bank robbers free if it means preventing people from getting hurt. Tabitha firmly believes that doing anything more means running the risk of becoming a Knight Templar or Well-Intentioned Extremist and sees herself as a role player while other heroes do their thing, citing the Ellen Page movie as an example of why she is horrified of what she might become were she to do more.

Attempts have been made to make her more active in stopping the threat but her response is to brush the pleas aside and let those petitioning for her aide that she wants to be left alone. In a crisis however her efforts to help others is limitless, with an iron will that does not bend or break, and she has been in some harsh circumstances. Not as harsh as The Joker plunging an entire city into chaos or The Punisher on a rampage maybe, but she had grown up in a hellishly tough area and considers it makes Arkham City look like a vacation spot. When she's not trying to save lives Tabitha seeks out the company of others in a bid to occupy her mind and keep it from drifting, and works as, naturally, a bodyguard.

One more thing, picking on the mentally ill and disabled is a Berserk Button for her. Some Jerkass parking in a handicapped spot is liable to have her walk across the hood of the car, then drag the driver out the window and over it if they complain. The word retard especially is a sensitive issue for her, in special circumstances she'll allow it but it has a tendency to drive her into a blind rage.

Let's try another one.

Name: Influence

Real Name: Amanda Tyler

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Alignment: Hero with an F in Good

Appearance: Tall, blonde bobbed hair and athletic, Amanda had been gutting it out in a slaughterhouse for years, the toil of her hard work turning her into a physically fit specimen, decent strength without being overly bulky, and quick enough. She still has the fashion sense of a young teenage tomboy, shorts or jeans and basic t shirts, except for when she uses the Influence persona where it's more black denim jackets and a hood to hide her features.

Powers, weapons, ect: Amanda's powers were taught to her by Chinese and Native American mystics, which in layman's terms increases her charm and persuasion, not supernatural by any means but it allows her to better influence and control her targets. For weapons she poisons her targets with drugs, either injecting them directly through a syringe or spiking their food and drink.

Personality: As a young girl Amanda's parents were targeted by a large bank and driven to bankruptcy, hell bent on leaving them with nothing. With her parents missing and presumed dead Amanda's older sister Evy began raising her. One day Amanda came across a young Chinese girl who was raised by Indians, Ai Mai Xian. She wanted to play, quickly befriended her, then took Amanda to her home where she took part in a horrifying ritual that led to the brutal murder of a banker who was targeting them. It was enough to frighten Amanda off.

Ai chased down Amanda and tried to explain, but it remained a point of contention. They remained friends until one day Amanda returned home to find it destroyed, and Evy killed. With nowhere left to go she sought out Ai, whose parents helped her find work at the local slaughterhouse where what she faced was confronting, but steeled her for if she had the opportunity for revenge. Then she heard on the news about an attempt on the life of a young man, Patrick Arthur. Researching the story it turned out he was a September 11 orphan, with both his parents dying in the terrorist attacks he was worth millions in compensation, just the target Amanda feared the same people who ruined her childhood would be after, and sought out Ai.

Ai took Amanda to Mina Mai Xian, who taught Amanda how to influence others and persuade them to do her bidding. Armed with this new gift Amanda sets out to protect Patrick in secret, while looking at ways to hurt the people responsible. However the stress is too much for her and she turns to drugs, until an assassin finds out she is involved in that poison and beats her nearly to death, raging at how Amanda was destroying her life. She got the message and instead sets her sights on those dealing, using the drugs they market against them.

Codename: Gecko

Real Name: Carla Morales

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Alignment: Chaotic Good rookie street-level hero

Appearance: A cute, small (5'2") but athletic Hispanic girl with dark brown eyes, short black hair and a medium tan skin tone.

Costume: Green and black bodysuit, similar to this but with green instead of red and without the spider or webs. She also has a green-and-black domino mask with built-in protective goggles. Gecko's suit includes collapsible fabric "wings" that turn it into a wingsuit and allow Carla to glide for short periods of time.

Powers/Abilities:

  • Wall-crawling
  • Nearly unbreakable grip
  • Enhanced strength and stamina - stronger than a peak human bodybuilder/Olympic athlete despite being a petite 5'2" teenager
  • Greatly enhanced agility
  • Low-level healing factor.

Origin: Carla was one of several children kidnapped by a rogue government agency/animal worshipping cult and genetically modified using animal DNA - in her case, the DNA of several reptile species. Carla was the first to escape and moved to Archon City (Metropolis/Astro City Expy) where she took up her crimefighting mantle with the help of a S.H.A.D.O.W. agent called Mongoose. (S.H.A.D.O.W. stands for Superhumans Acting in Defense Of the World, basically my setting's equivalent of S.H.I.E.L.D.) Eventually Carla returns to rescue her "brothers and sisters" and forms an X-Men-like team with them.

Personality: Carla is brash, hot-headed, passionate, and impulsive. Carla is also a typical clichéd moody teenage girl - she can be hyper and giddy one minute and then be snappy and irritable the next. She rarely thinks before speaking or acting and almost never stops talking in general. Her incessant bilingual (Spanish and English) babbling confounds and annoys her opponents, even when she's losing badly.

Before escaping she was given hand-to-hand combat training but has little actual fighting experience. She initially believes her enhanced strength and agility will negate her lack of training, but soon learns just how unskilled she is when several of her first superhero fights end with her humiliated and badly injured. While she can easily dominate a fight against the average street thug and most unmodified humans, she is woefully ill-prepared to take on an opponent with superpowers or even an ordinary human with extensive fighting experience. Being stubborn and resilient, she doesn't give up and accepts the training of heroes like Guardian (Superman Expy) and Mongoose (sort of a Spider-Man/Nightwing Expy) who see her potential beyond her reckless behavior and emotional immaturity. Eventually she takes a level in badass and becomes one of Archon City's most well-known and well-loved heroes, but for now she's a struggling newbie with a big heart and an attitude problem.

Name: Game Over (He named himself that because that's what happens to his victims who are forced to "play his game")

Gender: Male

Age: ?

Alignment: Villain (Final Boss-level)

Appearance: A humanoid, semi-transparent Virtual Ghost-like program made of polygons.

Powers, weapons, ect.: Has the power to open a portal to cyberspace and drag victims in or send his Mooks out. There, he is skilled at creating the most horrifying Goddamned Bats, Demonic Spiders, Invincible Minor Minions and Kung Fu Proof Mooks. Basically, a Killer Game Master.

In a fight, Game Over is no slouch, frequently using very damaging, hard-to-avoid (or even outright unavoidable) attacks such as homing lasers, as well as moves that instantly "delete" his victims. Being a cyber being, he exists on an immaterial plane, making him immune to all physical attack. He is also immune to all "negative statuses", such as Mind Manipulation, The Corruption, and others, due to "final bosses being immune to such negative statuses".

Weaknesses: As a cyber being, Game Over requires an internet connection to remain outside cyberspace.

Personality: Game Over takes pleasure in seeing others despair, dragging his victims into cyberspace where they have to suffer against endless waves of his minions. He is also very intelligent and Genre Savvy, often having backup plans. He alternates between being serious, soft spoken and hilariously Large Hammy depending on how he wants his opponents to suffer. However, he is actually a tragic being- it is revealed that he was once a videogame developer (specifically, an enemy designer) who got his mind broken and corrupted by the Eldritch Location/Genius Loci that is cyberspace, transformed into the horror that he is now.
