Some person in the world, and nothing else.

My real name isn't Kirby; it's part of my username simply because I like the Kirby games.

I have been a lurker since 2015 (though browsing became much more frequent from 2018 onward). I joined in February of 2021, and didn't start being active until May.

Link to my sandboxes here and here.

NOTE: There are a lot of contributions I've made here that I heavily regret, and I don't want to look back on the pages that I've made them on. I'm extremely sorry for everything.

    Pages I made

Things I enjoy:

Note:

  • Works in italics indicate that I haven't seen/played/perused content of the work in a long time, or I don't like it as much as I used to.
  • Works in bold indicate stuff I currently really enjoy.

     Anime and Manga

     Films (Animated)

     Films (Live-Action)
Currently going assessment; more films may be added in the future.

     Literature

     Live-Action TV
Not much, actually. I haven't seen enough of most live-action television series to form a solid opinion on them.

     Music

     Video Games

     Web Animation

     Web Videos

     Webcomics
Despite the presence of webcomics on this site, I haven't read that many. The ones that I've read at least some of are:

     Western Animation

     Other (works and non-works)
NOTE: Examples won't be bolded here.
  • Internet nostalgia
  • Newgrounds
  • Adobe Flash media in general. It played an integral part in my childhood.
  • Space. SPAAAAACCCEEE!!!!! note
  • Scenery Porn. Or any real place that looks good.
  • Random-ness. It's a shame that the Random-ness Wiki closed down.
  • Atmosphere. Just like plot and characters, atmosphere is everything when it comes to the audience.
    • Or, more specifically, relaxing and/or dark atmospheres, or music with a lot of atmosphere.
  • Archiving or viewing things on the Wayback Machine. A VERY important thing to do. That site saved the original Signature Song subpages for music from being completely scrapped. note
  • Weird/creepy/obscure YouTube videos (don't ask.)
  • Iceberg charts

Tropes that apply to me:

Of course. WIP.
     List
  • Apologizes a Lot: I do tend to say "I'm sorry" quite often, even for the slightest mishaps.
  • Berserk Button: Any and all violent, gruesome, and hateful content on the Internet.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: I often procrastinate, but when I get around to doing an assignment, I usually do well on it.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: In real life, I usually have normal conversations. On the other hand, I usually let my imagination run wild on the Internet.
  • No Social Skills: I can barely start a conversation with someone I don't know. I'm afraid of socializing in general, even online with anonymity.

Tropes I like

Probably incomplete.
     List

Tropes that received drastic changes.

Whether it be from renames and example judgement to purges of varying sizes, they've changed in such a way that they have impacted me and made me more cautious when visiting trope pages. (most of it is purges/content removal, though) note

  • Signature Song: At first, most of the sections beside Music were removed either to be zero-context, or that it was a music trope. Unfortunately, nothing could save us from the purge. R.I.P. ???-2021, we hardly knew ye. note
  • Reality Ensues: Now renamed to Surprisingly Realistic Outcome, because it gives a better idea of what the trope is about than "reality ensuing". Like, what reality? What if it's unrealistic? note  Used to be the #1 most impactful change until the fateful day of July 7, 2021, when what happened to the above trope occurred.
  • Memetic Mutation: A lot of examples have been removed or purged due to zero-context or just being moments that haven't been used in memetic contexts, though there are still a lot of examples with context. Note to self: add context before adding examples.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Lots of purges have occurred with this trope, especially the pages for Spongebob Squarepants and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Thankfully, there's still plenty of it to be found.
  • Ear Worm: Since it's now In-Universe Examples Only. It was rather "fun" to browse, despite the trope being vey subjective, and most of the examples having no context to them whatsoever (mostly just lyrics, video links, song titles, and First-Person Writing abound.)
  • Non-trope example: Any page that had its image changed, especially if I liked the previous image, had some sort of meaning, or it was funny. Props to some images for actually improving on the other in my opinion (e.g. Faux Horrific's new image is funnier and more illustrative). Of course, many of these changes were either made due to being Just a Face and a Caption or at least partially relating to the trope, but not actually demonstrating it.

Avatar sources

I'm too lazy to upload the images, so it'll be best to open the gallery in a new tab or something and view it and this back and forth. The avatars are numbered from top-to-bottom, left-to-right, as always.
