Pro Heroes

The Top 10

    All Might
See his tropes here.

    Endeavor

Enji Todoroki — Endeavor

Quirk: Hellflame

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/endeavor_anime_profile.png

The current second highest ranked hero in Japan, and as a hero, one of the best, beating out even All Might in the number of cases he's resolved.

  • Abusive Parents: Oh, yeah.
  • Action Dad: A horrible one towards Shouto, but a very powerful flame hero.
  • Adaptational Angst Downgrade: Implied. Since Toya never "died", it's implied that he never got the reality check about how his obssession in surpassing All Might damaged his family.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Appears during the events of the USJ to drive out the Villain Consortium, whereas in canon he first appears during the sports festival.
  • At Least I Admit It: A jerkass example. Endeavor doesn't bother to hide the fact that he is an unlikable asshole, which according to Shoto, makes him less of a bastard than Daikoku Yaoyorozu.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Veers into hypocrisy, but he treats Momo well, mostly due to him being implicably suspicious of Daikoku Yaoyorozu's abuse of her. He's nothing but polite and courteous to her.
  • Hypocrite: Treats Momo well, implied to be due to the abuse she suffers at the hands of Daikoku, but sees absolutely no problems abusing his own children.
  • It's All About Me: Even if he has to live that dream through his son, all Endeavor cares about is becoming the #1 Hero.
  • Jerkass: His first scene with Shouto is filled with him self-projecting onto his son, and making it clear that Shouto has no choice but to become All Might's replacement, even if Endeavor has to lead him by the ear.
  • No-Respect Guy: To Kyoka, at least. From the exact moment they meet, she acts very snarky and flippant towards him. Given how Kyoka is well aware of the truth behind the Todoroki household, it's completely justified.
  • Pet the Dog: Treats Momo well, and when he hears that Shouto is trying to take the fall for her because of Daikoku's abuse of her, he goes along and has Shouto apologize to her to make it look convincing.

    Hawks

Keigo Takami — Hawks

Quirk: Fierce Wings

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/keigo_takami_hero_costume_anime_action.png

The current Number Four Hero. A laidback yet highly professional young hero.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: He is introduced by the end of the Sports Festival arc instead of during the Pro Hero arc.
  • Adaptational Heroism: While Hawks was a very committed and responsible hero in canon, he still took on the Hero Commission's task to eliminate Twice even though he didn't want to. Here, he is actively working with the vigilantes to take the HPSC down from the inside.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: Being 22 years old, he is the youngest member of the Top 10.
  • Commonality Connection: He admits to having recruited Tokoyami because he is a bird too. He also befriends Dark Shadow due to both of them shipping Fumikage and Reiko.
  • Deadpan Snarker: His interactions with Beros after her failure at the airport ambush mostly run on this:
Hawks: So let me see if I got this straight, you thought you caught sight of a group of vigilantes, decided to try apprehending them by yourself instead of waiting for any backup. You endangered the lives of most of the people here, firing through the windows and trying to mortally wound them instead of taking them in alive. And the resulting firefight ended with … let me see … ah, there it is. Eighteen people were injured, and none of the criminals apprehended.
    • And later:
"Well … I'm sure our dear president will be happy to hear that you're so … invested … in capturing random civilians."
  • The Mole: For the Vigilantes inside the Hero Commission.
  • Token Good Teammate: Of the Hero Public Safety Commission, being the only member not blatantly corrupt or having their hands drenched in blood. Of course, there's also the point that he's actively working against them with the vigilantes.
  • Shipper on Deck: He ships Fumikage and Reiko. In fact, their closeness during the Sports Festival was one of the reasons why he offered to teach her as well.

    Edgeshot

Shinya Kamihara — Edgeshot

Quirk: Foldabody

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/edgeshot_color_scheme.png
Ninja Hero

The current Number Seven Hero.

    Miruko

Rumi Usagiyama — Miruko

Quirk: Rabbit

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rumi_usagiyama_anime_action_2.png

The current Number Six Hero.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Debuts during the USJ arc instead of the Pro Hero arc.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: She never interacted with Ryukyu onscreen in canon. Here they are close friends, with the author hinting at a possible romance between them down the line.
  • Animal-Themed Superbeing: Rabbits, of course. She even displays some rabbit-like habits, like thumping her foot when she's impatient or getting scratched behind her ear.
  • Ascended Extra: Implied - Word of God seems to be hinting that she may serve an important role in a later arc.
  • Blood Knight: She loves a good fight. Coming out of the USJ following the defeat of the Trigger Villains has her grinning from ear to ear, and it's Itsuka showing some violent tendancies that gets Miruko's attention.
  • Character Tic: Much like a rabbit, Rumi thumps he foot when she is impatient or excited. Which happens a lot.
  • Closet Key: Seeing Mirko using her legs to restrain a villain on TV is what caused Setsuna to realize she was also into girls.
  • The Drifter: She has no permanent hero office - frequently travelling across Japan looking for fights. Ryukyu seems to be pretty much the only real friend she has.
  • Freudian Trio: The Id, to Ryukyu's Ego and Nagant's Superego.
  • Hero with Bad Publicity: Ryukyu offhandedly mentions that Miruko's been getting in trouble with the Hero Commission, neglecting her other duties as a hero in favor of getting into fights.
  • Lady Swears-a-Lot: One of the first things the trio notices about her is her crass language, and she tends to drop f-bombs whenever she can in front of the kids.
  • Leg Focus: Setsuna claims that seeing Miruko use her legs to restrain a villain led to her bi awakening.
  • Kick Chick: With her rabbit-based quirk, she's of course this.
  • Morality Pet: Ryukyu seems to serve as this to Miruko, the two women being friends, and Miruko reluctantly giving in to her requests to keep an eye out for an intern when Ryukyu gives her a pleading look.
  • Murderous Thighs: Apparently likes to take out villains this way, in presumably a non-fatal manner. Seeing her demonstrate this on TV led to Setsuna's bisexual awakening.
  • Nice Mean And In Between: The In-Between to Ryukyu's Nice and Nagant's Mean. She acts as a tough, fighting freak while training with Itsuka but by the end of the day she shows a softer but still gruff side.
  • No Badass to His Valet: Any attempt of Miruko to come off as a cold-hearted badass is undercut by Ryukyu poking fun at her.
  • Rule of Cool: She decides to name the joint team between her Ryukyu and Nagant "Revengers" simply because it sounds badass, even it doesn't really make sense.
  • The Tease: Half of her comments to Ryukyu are light-hearted flirts, although it's unknown how much Miruko actually means them.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Tomboy to Ryuko's Girly Girl.
  • Town Girls: The Butch, to Ryukyu's Femme and Nagant's Neither.
  • Tsundere: Played for Laughs, but Miruko spends the Sports Festival agonizing over whether or not to train Itsuka as an intern, going between clearly wanting to help her embrace her inner anger, and furiously protesting that she even *wants* to train her.

    Ryukyu

Ryuko Tatsuma — Ryukyu

Quirk: Dragon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ryukyu_7.png
Dragoon Hero
Click here to see her dragon form
The current Number Nine hero.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: She is introduced during the Sports Festival instead of during the Shie Hassaikai arc.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul:
    • Since Nejire is not a third year student, both of them don't have the student-mentor relationship they show in canon. With that said, Nejire is one of the students that Ryukyu shows interest in as an intern.
    • She never interacted with Miruko onscreen in canon. Here, they are close enough friends that they attend the Sports Festival together.
  • Animal Themed Super Being: Dragons, of course. It fits nicely with her relationship with Miruko, a fellow Animal Themed Super Being.
  • Ascended Extra: Similar to Miruko, Word of God seems to be hinting that Ryukyu may serve in an important role later in the story.
  • Clark Kent Outfit: In her civilian outfit - with just a jacket and jeans, with a fringe covering her right eye, Ryuko is pretty unrecognizable without her qipao and her dragon mask.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Scowls a bit when Miruko mentions a date with another person.
  • Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: She keeps Miruko in check and makes sure she doesn't pick a fight with anyone.
  • Commonality Connection: It's implied one of the reasons she's interested on Nejire's performance is because she is one of the few students who can fly.
  • Cool Big Sis: Downplayed in her relationship with Miruko, as it mixes in friendship and a bit of Ship Tease, but she acts like a Big Sister Mentor to her, advising her to look at internships and keeps an eye on her.
  • Covert Pervert: She discretely checks out Rumi's ass when the two of them are about to leave the Festival.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Tends to treat Miruko pretty nicely, but won't hesitate to tease her should the opportunity arise.
    Miruko: So, dumb question.
Ryukyu: I was raised to believe that there was no such thing as a dumb question, Rumi - but if you have a challenge for me, I'd love to hear it.
    Miruko: Oh, ha, ha, ha.
  • Freudian Trio: The Ego, to Mirko's Id and Nagant's Superego.
  • The Mentor: To both Izuku and Nejire during their internships.
  • Nice Girl: She's specifically at the UA sports festival to look at their internship program, clearly interested in mentoring a student, and encourages Miruko to do the same.
  • Nice Mean And In Between: The Nice to Mirko's In-Between and Nagant's Mean. Ryukyu is very friendly and caring towards her interns, almost in a big sister mentor way.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Ironic, since she is a dragon, but she pulls one of these to convince Rumi to take her advice of getting an intern to improve her public image.
  • The Tease: Like Miruko above, Ryukyu's not above playfully flirting with her best friend. While the purposefullness on Miruko's end is ambiguous, on Ryukyu's end it's far more obvious that she's genuinely being flirty.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Girly Girl to Rumi's Tomboy.
  • Town Girls: The Femme, to Mirko's Butch and Nagant's Neither.

    Gang Orca

Kugo Sagamata — Gang Orca

Quirk: Orcinus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gang_orca_oj2_artwork.png

The Number Ten Hero, who acts as Pony and Mezo's mentor.

Other Pro Heroes

    Sir Nighteye

Mirai Sasaki — Sir Nighteye

Quirk: Foresight

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sir_nighteye_ones_justice_2_render.png

The former sidekick of All Might. He has his own biases as to who One for All should be passed on to, and is not afraid of trying to sway All Might to his line of thinking.

  • Adaptational Jerkass: He's even worse about One for All here, actually coming to the beach to talk All Might out of making Itsuka his successor right in front of her, and doesn't have any problems sending his sidekicks to spy on the beach. This gets worse when he brings Gran Torino along to prove her inadequate to Mirio by having Gran kick the crap out of her. It comes to the point that after All for One makes himself known to public as a Prime Minister candidate, he goes behind All Might's back and reveals the truth about One for All to Mirio.
  • Arc Villain: More like Arc Hero Antagonist, but he serves as the main opposition to Itsuka in both the Training for UA arc and the Heights Alliance arc.
  • Bad Boss: Comes off as this to Bubble Girl, often putting her trough humiliating tasks.
  • Confirmation Bias: In-Universe example. He absolutely refuses to see Itsuka as All Might's successor partly due to his own bias for Mirio.
  • Didn't See That Coming: He clearly never considered the idea that Mirio wouldn't want One for All.
  • Hero Antagonist: In the scope of the story, he's serves as Itsuka's main opposition in her status as One for All's next torchbearer, and unlike canon, this Nighteye isn't above bullying her and kicking her while she's down, even bringing Mirio in on the secret of One for All behind All Might's back in hopes that he can get his pupil to help with his goals of saving All Might. Outside of this, however, Nighteye is still firmly on All Might's side and all of his antagonism of Itsuka is motivated by his desire to save All Might from his fate.
  • Know-Nothing Know-It-All: He considers Itsuka inferior as the next holder of One for All in favor of Mirio, and completely ignores the fact that Mirio would of course be a better successor due to him being a second-year hero student and Itsuka being a middle-school student, and ignores how Mirio was no better than her before Nighteye got his hands on him.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em:
    • When All Might makes it clear that he won't tolerate Nighteye's presence on the beach after having Gran Torino spar Itsuka, he wisely leaves and does not return.
    • When Mirio tells him in no uncertain terms that he is not going to take One for All, and Itsuka has his support, Nighteye silently leaves the Kendo dojo.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Nighteye will do anything to prove his point about Mirio and One for All. Not even Mirio himself is excluded from being manipulated by him, as shown when Nighteye decides to reveal the truth about One for All to him without the input of All Might or any of his allies.
  • Pet the Dog: After accidentally spooking Izuku into using his quirk and injuring himself, Nighteye makes sure that he doesn't injure himself further and apologizes to him.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: He doesn't waste any time tearing into Itsuka upon meeting her.
  • Skewed Priorities: Nighteye will take any situation as an opportunity to dish on Itsuka and point out that Mirio is the "best candidate" to One for All. Not even a major attack, like the USJ or All for One revealing himself to the public as a Prime Minister candidate, will dissuade him from his mindset.

    Gran Torino

Sorahiko Torino — Gran Torino

Quirk: Jet

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gran_7.png

A retired, elderly hero who served as All Might's homeroom teacher and good friend of Nana Shimura, making him one of the few who knows the full truth about One for All.

  • Cool Old Guy: He's retired, but easily defeats Itsuka several times in a row during their first spar. He also has a softer side when defending her from Sir Nighteye's bias, and actually takes the time to assure Izuku when he was overworking himself.
  • Good Is Not Soft: A complete hardass who has no problems smacking Itsuka around during their spar.
  • Old Master: An old man who was active when All Might was a teenager, and is still a highly skilled and seasoned semi-retired pro hero.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Calls Nighteye out spectacularly on his bias towards Itsuka, pointing out his blantantly ignoring that Mirio was no better than Itsuka was at her age, and ultimately sides with All Might regarding Itsuka as his successor.
  • Technologically Blind Elders: Hana bought him a cellphone for Christmas, but he purposefully broke after one week because it was too noisy.

    Ingenium

Tensei Iida — Ingenium

Quirk: Engine

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tensei_iida_hero_costume_vigilantes.png

Tenya Iida's older brother, and a popular hero whom Tenya aspires to be like one day.

  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Whereas in canon he's crippled by the Hero Killer, here it is mentioned that he was put straight in a coma that doctors are unsure he'll wake up from.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: He appears during the events of the USJ invasion to help clear out the Trigger villains, and helps the police in interviewing Class 1A about the Villain Consortium.
  • Ascended Extra: Arrives to help out at the USJ, and afterwards stays around for the next week to work as Class 1A's substitute teacher.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Acts as this not just to Tenya, but to the entirety of Class 1A once he becomes their substitute teacher following the USJ, being far more easy-going and gentle with them than Aizawa.
  • Cool Teacher: Cool Substitute Teacher, but the effect's still the same. In the aftermath of the USJ Invasion, he helps them recover through the harrowing event, and stays with them for a week trying to rebuild their confidence, so much so that they're genuinely sad to see him leave UA and return to hero work.
  • Humble Hero: Tenya praises him as a great hero, and when he appears at the USJ he acts less like a professional hero but more of a comforting older brother, not just to Tenya but to all of Class 1A.
  • Nice Guy: Arriving at the USJ to help, he stays behind with Class 1A to help them out with their interviews with the police, praising them for doing good jobs and likewise comforting them. This is implied to have endeared him greatly to the traumatized students.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Noted to look extremely like Tenya.

    Bubble Girl

Kaoruko Awata — Bubble Girl

Quirk: Bubble

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bubble_girl_anime_3.png

Nighteye's assistant and sidekick.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Debuts during the prologue instead of the Shie Hassaikai arc.
  • Butt-Monkey: She is often subjected by her boss to the most embarrassing and humiliating tasks, like spying the kids during the beach training or having to gather evidence from the bottom of the USJ's Flood Zone.
  • Cool Big Sis: Acts like this with Mirio, having a friendly and sibling-like rapport with him.
  • Reluctant Fanservice Girl: She hates her outfit due to how much of her skin is exposed.
  • Sickeningly Sweethearts: With Sirius. The sailor hero always knows how to cheer Bubble Girl up, which is very welcomed considering how much she suffers as Nighteye's sidekick.

    Stendhal

Chizome Akaguro — Stendhal

Quirk: Unknown

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stendhal_2.png

A mysterious hero designated as a specialist in the Hero Killer case, Stendhal is a part of the hunt for the mysterious killer, but is shrouded in mystery, and may or may not have ulterior motives ...

  • '90s Anti-Hero: Certainly looks like one, being essentially a walking and talking armoury.
  • Adaptational Superpower Change: Implied and perhaps zig-zagged - he mentions that his quirk will allow him to hunt down the Hero Killer, mentioning something about 'scents', but he's shown sneakily taking some of Tensei's blood, so it's up in the air if he has a different Quirk or is simply lying.
  • Ambiguously Evil: It's currently unknown if he and Stain are a Decomposite Character - he's shown on the side of heroes, but is shown taking Tensei's blood and glaring at his back. There is also his willingness to use other heroes, especifically ones he dislikes, to lure the Hero Killer out.
  • Arch-Enemy: Seems to be this towards the Hero Killer, being hunting them down for years, and willing to take the most extreme measures in order to defeat the villain.
  • Character Check: While supposedly on the heroes side, you can see some of his canon self Principles Zealot slipping through his speech while talking to Tenya about how true heroes are selfless and should never care about materialistic things.
  • Darker and Edgier: Dresses in much darker clothing and is more shrouded in mystery than any of the heroes introduced so far. Some heroes call him out as being an 'edge lord'.
  • Decomposite Character: Zig-zagged. It appears to be this case, with Stendhal hunting down the Hero Killer alongside Tensei, but is shown taking some of Tensei's blood, hinting that he may simply be using his hero name as a disguise.
  • Hunter of His Own Kind: Implied. He may or may not be a hero that kills other heroes.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Stendhal is quick to shut down Tenya's hypocritical worldview about how using other people as bait for the Hero Killer is not heroic by pointing out how the boy is foresaking his future as a hero and shutting down his friends concerns about his well-being for the sake of revenge.
  • Ninja: Looks and fights like one, using bladed weapons.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: He clearly doesn't like working with Tenya while hunting down the Hero Killer, only agreeing so because the boy may be useful to lure the villain out.

    Ms. Joke

Emi Fukukado — Ms. Joke

Quirk: Outburst

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/laugh_dammit.png

A pro heroine and teacher from Ketsubutsu Academy who has a teasing relationship with Aizawa/Eraser Head due to past history. Her Quirk, "Outburst", allows her to force others to laugh, impairing their cognitive and mental skills.

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Played with. She does constantly hit on Aizawa and propose marriage to him, much to his irritation, but its clear that she's not serious and only does it to annoy him. Also, his objection is presumably due to her personality rather than her appearance.
  • Boke and Tsukkomi Routine: Her interactions with Aizawa follow this routine to the letter: she says something over-the-top or ridiculous and he corrects her with cold exasperation. Hilarity Ensues.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Acts like a goofy and fun-loving hero around Aizawa, but is then revealed to be a spy for Shirakumo.
  • The Confidant: Acts as this to Aizawa, hearing out his problems and being unafraid of calling him out for his Jerkass nature.
  • Fun Personified: An extremely fun-loving teacher, who contrasts Aizawa and his stoicism.
  • The Gadfly: She constantly trolls Aizawa, randomly proposing to him and trying (and failing) to make him laugh with her Quirk.
  • The Mole: Is revealed to be this for the Vigilantes on the Underground network, supplying Shirakumo with Aizawa's location for the upcoming internships.
  • Nice Girl: Ms. Joke has cheerful and outgoing personality, even if some of the characters find her sense of humor obnoxious, she always does her jokes in a friendly way. Even when she's dryly sarcastic with Aizawa, it's clear that it comes from a place of concern, and he shows no anger to her pointing out his flaws other than annoyance of her personality.
  • Noodle Incident: Apparently made out with Aizawa when they were both drunk. He regrets it, she loves to bring it up.
  • No Sympathy: Has no problem on pointing that Eraserhead is the only person to blame for screwing things up with his students as well as ruinning his friendship with Midnight.
Emi: Ah, so you being a shitty teacher meant you did a shitty job?
Aizawa: I thought you were trying to comfort me?
Emi: Nah, I know you probably wouldn't want that, you wanna sulk and hate yourself and not actually do anything to improve yourself. That's how you usually are, isn't it? Every day's a pity party day for Eraserhead.
  • The Tease: She just loves to screw with Aizawa's nerves, mostly by asking him out.

    Sirius

Sirius

Quirk: Good Ear

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sirius_profile_3.png

  • Form-Fitting Wardrobe: Wears one that's snug all around her body, especially around her rear, which many a male onlooker have no problem taking pictures of her.

    Fat Gum

Quirk: Unnamed Water Quirk

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/manual_anime.png

A hero operating in Hosu, who acts as Yui's mentor during the Internships week.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Debuts during the Sports Festival arc before the Internships arc.
  • The Generic Guy: Invoked. His policy to be an all-around normal hero is supposed to represent a standard for upcoming heroes to follow, thus his hero name.

    Majestic

Enma Kannagi — Majestic

Quirk: Magic

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/majestic_hero_costume.png

A wizard-themed hero called the "Magic Hero" Majestic was the one to recommended Setsuna for U.A., he also employs her and Hanta during the Internships week.

    Rock Lock

Ken Takagi — Rock Lock

Quirk: Lockdown

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rock_lock_anime.png

A harsh and thick headed Pro Hero who unwillingly becomes Awase's mentor.

  • Action Dad: He has a newborn son who means the world to him.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Makes a cameo near the end of the Sports Festival arc instead of during the Shie Hassaikai arc.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: He doesn't like teaching teenagers because he thinks kids don't deserve to be on the field, but goes out of his way to teach Awase anyway.

International Heroes

    Star and Stripe

Cathleen Bate — Star and Stripe

Quirk: New Order

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cathleen_5.png

An American Pro Hero who was inspired by All Might after he rescued her when she was just a child. She is also Melissa's honorary aunt, and the one who recommended her for the Hero Course exam.

  • The Ace: Similar to All Might, she and her crew are extremely competent. She comes to a move of five people into a large house that would usually take a whole day, and finishes unpacking and putting everything away in an hour and fifteen minutes.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Instead of debuting during her namesake arc nearly an year later, she debuts before the Internships arc.
  • Amazonian Beauty: In both her hero and small form she is described as incredibly tall and muscular.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Played for Laughs. She is not Melissa's mom, but pretends to be so in order to embarass her in front of her friends.
  • Big Good: Of America's heroes.
  • Distaff Counterpart: To All Might. He's confused as to why she seems to 'dislike' him since she seemingly models herself after him.
  • Fangirl: Of All Might, in case it's not obvious enough. David mentions she has one of the biggest All Might merch collections he has ever seen, plus she always annoys him into retelling stories of their adventures in his youth, not to mention her horror when Melissa states she will tear the All Mobile apart to make her suit.
  • Honorary Aunt: To Melissa.
  • Incoming Ham: How does she introduces herself into the story? Knock on the Midoriyas' door hard enough to send it flying down the hall, drop David unceremoniously on the floor, and then order Melissa to go find the owners of the apartment so she could apologize.
  • Likes Older Men: She comments that David is DILF material. Of course, that could problably her wanting to annoy Melissa.
  • A Mother to Her Men: Cares deeply for her squadron, and they care for her back, shown when they unquestioningly come with her to UA to unpack Melissa's stuff.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Star's incapacity to reign in her fangirl antics in front of All Might, plus her acting aloof and distant whenever they meet ended giving All Might the wrong impression that she hates him. David is aware of the truth but won't say it out of fear getting beaten up by her.
  • Serious Business: She is really not happy to find out Melissa is planning to disassemble the All Mobile to make her suit, with her threats ranging from kicking her honorary niece all the way back to I-Island or telling everyone that David hooked up with her.
  • Tomboy: As Cathleen, she looks a lot like a Badass Biker.
  • Willfully Weak: Her 'Cathleen Bate' form is this - she intentionally shrinks herself down to a smaller but still fit form to disguise herself, but Melissa mentions that it's extremely taxing on her body, and causes her to ache for long periods of time. But Star dismisses it so that she can spend time with her honorary niece.

Japan Civilians

The Midoriya-Uraraka-Kendou Clan

    Inko Midoriya

Inko Midoriya

Quirk: Attraction of Small Objects

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/inko_midoriya.png

Izuku's mom. She has spent the most time raising him while her husband works overseas.

  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Shows up to the Kendous, has a serious talk with them and All Might about their children working on the beach ... and then pulls out a baby book to show Tenohira. Izuku promptly dies of embarrassment.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's a gentle housewife, but hearing that her son is doing a potentially dangerous training plan without her permission has her immediately insist on meeting his coach personally, and her cold response to his attempt to introduce himself causes both Izuku and All Might to freeze in terror. And when All Might attempts to convince Inko that she was imagining things when she confronted him with the knowledge of her knowing his secret, Inko shuts his attempts down fast and tells him not to treat her like an idiot.
  • Confession Triggers Consummation: The reveal of their feelings has Inko drag Toshinori to the bedroom to very quickly get things started.
  • Cuteness Proximity: She melts into tears upon meeting Eri for the first time.
  • Good Parents: She was Izuku's only parent for most of his life, excluding Taiyo and Miwa as his honorary family, and it is evident that she did a wonderful job despite Izuku's Heroic BSoD.
  • In the Blood: Izuku inherited his habit of crying from her, as well as his attention to detail.
  • Mama Bear: The moment she hears about Izuku training on the beach, she insists on meeting his trainer personally.
  • Open-Minded Parent: She has no problems with up to three girls crushing on her son at the same time, as long as Izuku treats them all well and gently if he chooses one and has to turn the other two down, and advises Izuku genuinely, showing no problem with the fact that both Itsuka and Ochako are in love with her son at the same time.
  • Scars Are Forever: Has an electric burn on her upper arm from Izuku's Quirk manifesting and injuring her, and she wears a compression sleeve over it. Izuku still feel guilty about giving her the scar, even though she clearly doesn't hold it against her son.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: Implied. Upon seeing All Might in the same suit Toshinori wore, Inko seems to have connected the dots between the two of them, and she quickly tries to defend Toshinori when Tenohira criticizes him for being a no show for their afterparty. This is confirmed when she admits to All Might that she is aware of his identity.
  • Ship Tease: Has a bit of this with Toshinori. This comes to culmination in Chapter 37.
  • Shipper on Deck: In contrast to Miwa and Tenohira, Inko doesn't seem to care if Izuku gets together with Ochako or Itsuka, knowing both girls make him happy and would be pleased if either situation happened. She's more concerned, however, with the reaction of the other girl if Izuku had to choose between them.

    Hisashi Midoriya

Hisashi Midoriya

Quirk: Fire Breath

Izuku's father who works overseas.
  • Amicable Exes: He and Inko are separated, since it would be too difficult to make a marriage work from across another continent, but they are still very close, with Hisashi considering Inko his best friend.
  • Ascended Extra: Downplayed in the present, since he works in America, but at least he calls once in a while to check on Inko and Izuku. He later shows up after the USJ to check on his son while he is staying at the Kendous and stays during the Sports Festival. This later becomes fully enforced when Hisashi confirms that his branch is having him transferred back to Japan, meaning that he'll be a steady presence in the fic going forward.
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: He has utterly no idea that he technically asked ''Midnight'' out on a date when he was advising her about a place she could relax, nor is he aware when Midnight responds excitedly about it.
  • Connected All Along: As it turns out, his defective computer, which was prone to give shocks once in a while, was the reason Izuku's Quirk manifested.
  • Endearingly Dorky: He admits that in the rush to check on Izuku, he completely forgot to pick his luggage at the airport, and has to go back to get it.
  • The Gadfly: He takes a lot of fun by teasing Toshinori about his Ship Tease with Inko before revealing that they are separated.
  • Good Parents: Alongside Inko. Working in another country did not damage his parenting skills. When Izuku comes to him nervous about his date with Nejire, Hisashi shows excitement for him, and advises him as best he could.
  • Large Ham: He goes full hammy mode during his call to home in Chapter 6.
  • One Degree of Separation: His firm is affiliated to the Yaoyorozu Group, and his son is classmate's with the family heir.
  • Parents as People: With the above said, Hisashi is aware that his absence in Izuku's life means that he and his son probably aren't as close as they want to be.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Chocolate. He even keeps secret stashes of it hidden at the apartment, much to Inko's annoyance.
  • Shared Family Quirks: Besides his dorkiness, Izuku also inherited his habit wearing messy and disheveled ties, much to Ochako's annoyance. Izuku also seems to have gotten his Oblivious to Love and Clueless Chick-Magnet habits from Hisashi as well.
  • Shipper on Deck: To Inko and Toshinori.
  • When You Coming Home, Dad?: Ultimately why his marriage to Inko didn't work out is because his line of work meant he was hardly at home.

    The Urarakas

Taiyo and Miwa Uraraka

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/56ae7d37421e34b6f52b592443a84bc9.jpg
Miwa on the left and Taiyo on the right.

Ochako's parents who're neighbors of the Midoriyas and run a construction company.

  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: They're strangers to Inko and Izuku, with Inko having more of an (implied) friendship with Mitsuki Bakugou. Here, the two Urarakas serve as Inko's best friends, and act as an aunt and uncle-like figures to Izuku.
  • Ascended Extra: Went from having small appearances in the manga to being recurring characters. Justified since they are the Midoriyas' neighbors. Their history with Lady Nagant ends up serving as a major plot point in the Heights Alliance arc, and will impact Ochako's character arc going forward as well.
  • Amicable Exes: Zig-zagged. While Taiyo seems to get along with Lady Nagant following their meeting, and even tells her that they missed her, Miwa is far colder to Nagant and the two are more open to confrontation with each other.
  • Childhood Friends: Miwa was this with Kaina Tsutsumi, a.k.a. Lady Nagant.
  • Country Mouse: Both of them, but Taiyo is definitely more this, speaking in his natural rural accent.
  • Eyes Always Shut: Miwa always has her eyes shut, something that's Lampshaded by Izuku. The only time she opens them is her confrontation with Lady Nagant, which shows Nagant and a nervous Taiyo how angry she is.
  • Good Parents: Not just for Ochako, despite their money issues, but to Izuku as well.
  • Honorary Uncle: They're extremely close to the Midoriyas.
  • The Idiot from Osaka: They have a goofy sense of humor.
  • Like a Son to Me: Taiyo outright claims that Izuku's as much their kid as he is Inko's. He's got a good claim as well, seeing as they're over at the apartment every day.
  • Mysterious Past: The circumstances that led to them moving from Mie to Musutafu are unknown but it is clear they are connected to Lady Nagant's imprisonment, and the fact she is also Ochako's mother.
  • Named by the Adaptation: Miwa and Taiyo, with Taiyo's name being inspired from Solidarity Among Students and One for All and Eight for the Ninth.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Miwa has this relationship with Tenohira, both mothers constantly trying to compete with the other about which of their daughters will get Izuku first.
  • Smug Smiler: Miwa often sports these when Ochako gains advantage in the competition for Izuku's heart.

    The Kendous

Tenohira and Hakushu Kendou

Itsuka's parents, who currently live with Tenohira's father in their dojo while Hakushu runs a repair shop.

  • Absurdly Youthful Mother: Downplayed, but Tenohira and Hakushu are frequently mentioned to appear a bit younger than Inko and the Urarakas, suggesting that they may have had Itsuka right out of high school.
  • Cain and Abel: Played With. For all effects and purposes, Tenohira is the Abel to Rappa's Cain. That, however, depends on how deep goes her knowledge about their father's criminal past.
  • Canon Foreigners: Created for the fic.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Implied. It's currently unknown how much they know about Teko's involvement with the Shie Hassaikai, but Tenohira seems suspicious of him hiding something behind her back, and she and Hakushu seem to recognize Eri as the daughter of someone they knew, hinting that they might be possibly involved in some capacity. This gets confirmed in Chapter 35, with Overhaul making it clear that Tenohira left the Shie Hassaikai with her father and 'the outsider', heavily implied to be Hakushu.
  • Friend to All Children: They happily live overtop a dojo in which Teko teaches children's classes, and they instantly befriend Eri when Itsuka brings her home, taking her in without question. Tenohira also convinced her dad to hang up pictures that the children who attended his lessons in the dojo itself.
  • Good Parents: Like Inko and the Urarakas, Tenohira and Hakushu are understanding and loving with Itsuka, and are shown to have a good relationship with her. When Itsuka was young and Teko yelled at her for her dreams of being a hero, Tenohira, despite usually adhering to her father as the patriarch of the house, yells at him to stop. This later extends to Eri as well, with Hakushu and Tenohira taking her in without question and treating her as a second daughter.
  • Honorary Uncle: Similar to the Urarakas, both Tenohira and Hakushu are close enough to Izuku and Ochako that they essentially act as their own parents, with Tenohira giving Izuku a motherly hug when departing after the sports festival while gently brushing Ochako's face as well.
  • Punny Names: Tenohira (Te no hira) literally means 'hand', while Hakushu means 'applause'. Good names for their daughter with the ability to create Giant Hands of Doom.
  • Properly Paranoid: Tenohira is suspicious of her father disappearing for odd hours after the Consortium's attack on her daughter, suspecting that he was up to no good. While Teko talks her down from investigating further, she is actually right on the money.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: There is only one thing that can cause Tenohira to drop her usual chipper attitude: her father's criminal past. When the possibility that he is once again reaching out to his Yakuza contacts (which he did in order to get info about the Consortium) she acts in a state of incredibly cold Tranquil Fury, reminding him that cutting their family's ties with the Yakuza was one of the main conditions for her and Hakushu to live under Teko's roof.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Tenohira has this relationship with Miwa, both mothers constantly trying to compete with the other about which of their daughters will get Izuku.
  • Shipper on Deck: For Izuku and Itsuka, as Tenohira is mentioned being competitive with Miwa on which of their daughters will confess to Izuku first. She is comically irate at him when he goes on a 'date' with Nejire, glaring and pouting at him while scrubbing the dishes a bit harder than she had to.
  • Smug Smiler: Tenohira often sports these when Itsuka gains advantage in the competition for Izuku's heart.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Itsuka is said to bear a strong resemblance to Tenohira, looking like an younger version of her with her father's orange hair.
  • Took the Wife's Name: Since Teko is also referred to as a Kendou, it's clear that Hakushu took his wife's name after they married.

    Teko Kendou

Teko Kendou — Ghost

Itsuka's stern grandfather, the patriarch of the Kendou family and the one who runs their dojo.

  • Ambiguously Evil: Is revealed to have ties with the Shie Hassaikai in Chapter 18, and has enough authority over them to cash in a favor on the Villain Consortium. Not to mention that he doesn't really care when the yakuza mention the possibility of spilling blood to get more information about the villains who attacked his granddaughter. All ambiguity is gone after The Reveal that he co-founded the Shie Hassaikai.
  • Analogy Backfire: Does this to Nine in chapter 44. When the villain goes on a rant about how he and his Villain Consortium are lions while those he believes are weaker than him are mere monkeys. The elder quickly points out that while lions are powerful, they're not the strongest in the jungle. Proving that Nine's entire line of thought just serves to make himself and his crew seem more powerful than they actually are.
  • Berserk Button: Threatening Itsuka. The Villain Consortium attacking her at the USJ prompts him to call in a favor with the Shie Hassaikai, and when meeting them, Nine casually asking if he had a granddaughter in a threatening tone causes Teko to attack him.
  • Boyfriend-Blocking Dad: Grandfather, in this case. He makes it pretty clear that he doesn't share his daughter's Shipper on Deck attitude towards Itsuka getting together with Izuku, clearly treating Izuku with suspicion whenever he so much as blinks at his beloved granddaughter.
  • Cool Old Guy: Implied to be getting on in years, but he's still strong and fast enough that he gives Itsuka runs for her money during spars.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Teko may be a stern and no nonsense teacher, but even he is disgusted upon finding how Aizawa manipulated Izuku and Ochako to become tools to improve Bakugo's atrocious personality.
  • Expy: Word of God says he is one for both Sakonji Urokodaki from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Heihachi Mishima from Tekken.
  • Fantasy-Forbidding Father: Fantasy Forbidding Grandfather, more like, but upon hearing Itsuka's dream to be a hero when she was a child, he immediately shouts her down and demands she finds a different position. For unknown reasons, he later recanted that and apologizes for scaring her, and raises no more complaint about her aspirations. With that said, he begins having doubts after seeing how UA runs the Sports Festival.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Teko makes the mistake of thinking Overhaul, out of all people, would still abide by the old Yakuza honor code, and that he would take orders from him like back in the day. This backfires horribly, now putting his family in the sights of the sociopathic villain.
  • Knight Templar Parent: His reaction to Itsuka being attacked by the Villain Consortium? Cash in a favor with the Shie Hassaikai to get more information about them.
  • Mysterious Past: Chapter 18 reveals that he has a history with the Shie Hassaikai that happened over twenty years before the events of the story, and more specifically has ties with Kai Chisaki and his pops. Chapter 34 also reveals that, at least for a while, he lived on Jed'ha Island, the same place where All For One killed Nana, and is hinted there is a connection there.
  • Noble Demon: He co-founded the Shie Hassaikai with the purpose of protecting people when Hero society failed to do so.
  • Old Master: In his late sixties and runs a dojo.
  • Parents as People: Grandparent example. He may have been really harsh on Itsuka by forebedding from becoming a hero when she was young, but considering how dangerous the career is, this fear is not for nothing. And considering that when Itsuka and her friends joined U.A. they nearly died in a villain attack during the first week, he has even more reasons to be against this dream.
  • Pet the Dog: Despite his Sink or Swim Mentor method of teaching, when he sees Izuku and Ochako having doubts about the entrance exam coming up, he takes a moment to encourage them.
  • Retired Monster: As the Ghost, being a terror to villains and other yakuza groups in his youth before he quit vigilantism. He would eventually be forced to return to help Overhaul deal with the Villain Consortium.
  • Training from Hell: Subjects his granddaughter, Izuku and Ochako to this during their ten months of hell. Honestly, he's even worse than All Might, having them run two hundred laps and constantly shouting at Izuku when he messes up.
  • Stern Teacher: He never pulls any punches, not even against his grandchild.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: While trying to use the Shie Hassaikai to get information and revenge against the Consortium, he ends bringing his family back into the Yakuza affairs he wanted to stay away from, threatening to expose the Kendo Family dark secrets.
  • Vigilante Man: His old profession as the Ghost. He would kill villains and rivals to the Shie Hassaikai until a falling out with the old yakuza led to Teko retiring.
  • Villain Killer: He kills Mummy when the younger man attacks him.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Oyabun Jōshi, from the Shie Hassaikai. They founded the organization together, but split up years prior, likely due to Tenohira's insistence to leave that life.

    Hitomi Kendou

Hitomi Kendou

Quirk: Unnamed Lightning Quirk

Teko's wife and Itsuka's grandmother, who has been dead for years.
  • Morality Pet: She was this towards Teko, since it's clear her influence on him is what pushed him to abandon the Shie Hassaikai.
  • Posthumous Character: Died at some point before Itsuka was born.
  • Shock and Awe: Teko mentions that her Quirk is some kind of lightning, since he noted the similarities between hers and Itsuka while she is using One for All.

    Eri

Eri

Quirk: Rewind

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eri_well_dressed.png

A little girl that Itsuka stumbled upon and rescued, and is now living at the Kendou household. In the Flash Forward, she is the adoptive daughter of Izuku, Ochako and Itsuka, who has her own dreams of becoming a hero.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: She is introduced before the Sports Festival instead of the Shie Hassaikai arc.
  • Adaptational Superpower Change: While she retains Rewind, Eri also has some kind of secondary Quirk, simply referred to as "light", that can counter act Rewind's effects.
  • Babies Ever After: The Flash Forward shows her as adopted by Izuku, Ochako and Itsuka.
  • Broken Bird: Much like canon, Eri has been abused so much in the hands of the Shie Hassaikai and Overhaul that she's extremely emotionally fragile. Every stranger that comes upon her has her hiding behind Itsuka or Nejire, she flinches from being touched without permission (although she does allow it) and upon meeting Gūdo, she bursts into tears.
  • Broken Tears: Ironically, like her future adoptive father, Eri is very prone to breaking down into tears when distressed, such as meeting strangers she doesn't know or faced with the reality that Izuku, Ochako and Nejire are going to eventually leave the house (and, by extension, her).
  • From the Mouths of Babes: Innocently asks Ochako what the words she was shrieking when Mei was yanking her through the air during the sports festival meant. And by innocently asking, we mean saying them all at once, in public.
  • Generation Xerox: Her teenage self is a split image version of Izuku: a massive hero fangirl, who often shows up during villain fights, and ends up in polyamorous relationship with her two best friends, Kota and Katsuma, much to her parents' chagrin.
  • Happily Adopted: She's shown to be Izuku, Ochako and Itsuka's child in the future, and is absolutely happy with that, having no problem with cuddling with Itsuka after returning from a three-week long assignment. During the present day, it's clear that she's this to the Midoriyas, Urarakas and Kendous all together, with each of them treating her like their own daughter while she enjoys the attention.
  • Like Father, Like Son: The Flash Forward shows Eri in a relationship with her own two best friends, Kota and Katsuma. Izuku and Itsuka blame this on them being bad role models while Ochako's busy jumping up and down.
  • Little Miss Snarker: The second flashfoward reveals she will take after both Itsuka and Ochako in terms of sass.
Bakugo: You know kid, I miss when you were a shy little shit, at least you knew when to shut the fuck up back then.
Eri: Yeah, and I wish you knew when to shut the fuck up now.
  • Love at First Sight: It's heavily implied that she actually was the one who caught feelings for Katsuma first.
  • Loved by All: Everyone adores Eri. The Kendous allow her to live with them for the foreseeable future without any hesitation, the Urarakas treat her like an adorable niece, the Midoriyas constantly take care of her, and Class 1A happily introduce themselves to her when she shows to be shy around them.
  • Only One Name: Played with, in that in the present day no one knows who her parents are so she is only referred to as 'Eri', but in the future, she is called 'Eri Midoriya'.
  • Protectorate: Very quickly becomes this to Izuku, Ochako, Itsuka and Nejire, who see the obviously distressed state she's in and almost immediately resolve to look after her. This also extends to Itsuka's parents, who take one look at her and pretty much immediately take her in.
  • Scars Are Forever: Tenohira discovers that her arms and legs are covered in scars when she takes them off.

Other Japan Civilians

    Hana Shimura

Hana Shimura

Quirk: Unnamed Floating Quirk

Tenko's older sister and Nana Shimura's grandchild. She lost her legs during Tenko's Traumatic Super Power Awakening and works from the house she lives with him.

  • Adaptational Superpower Change: Hana's Quirk was never revealed in canon. Here, it's a less powerful version of her grandmother's floating.
  • An Arm and a Leg: She lost both of her legs when Tenko's Quirk manifested and lives in a wheelchair.
  • Dude, Not Funny!: Her reaction when Tenko jokes about being worried at him being at the USJ during the attack is to run over his foot with her wheelchair.
  • For Want Of A Nail: Since she was grounded by her parents after Kotaro beat Tenko, she wasn't killed by accident when Tenko attempted to ask for help and murdered the rest of the family.
  • The Ghost: She has yet to make a an appearance on the story, but her interactions with Tenko are a source of laugh and heartwarming moments whenever they are brought up.
  • Nerves of Steel: According to Tenko, she always keeps a composed expression while getting yelled at by customers on the phone, something that he admits he would have trouble with.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: She was in her room when Tenko's Quirk destroyed their house, and was saved by their neighbours days later.

    Fuyumi Todoroki

Fuyumi Todoroki

Quirk: Unnamed Ice Quirk

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fuyumi_2.png

Shoto's older sister and Endeavor's second child. Fuyumi is one of the few people who has managed to keep relative order in the Todoroki household, though she expresses dismay over the parental rift caused by Endeavor's spartan personality and worries about Shoto's well-being.

  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: This version of Fuyumi not only has to deal with her father's abuse on her brothers, but she also has to deal with her powerlessness to help Shouto when Touya is going off on him.
  • The Confidant: Shouto seems to view her this way, knowing to trust his sister in finding his mother.
  • Cool Big Sis: Despite the above, Fuyumi does help Shouto out where she can, knowing of the abuse he suffers under Endeavor and Touya. She warns him that Touya is out in the backyard, and upon listening at the door and hearing Touya bullying Shouto, distracts him and asks for him to come inside. When Itsuka asks Shouto if he can trust Fuyumi with helping him find his mother, Shouto doesn't hesitate to confirm so, showing how highly he thinks of his sister.
  • An Ice Person: She has an ice quirk.
  • Nice Girl: She's probably one of the nicest members of the Todoroki family, being a good sister to both Shouto and Touya and not badmouthing anyone of them.
  • Supreme Chef: Her first scene has her cooking dinner and offering to make something for Shouto, and the way she gets Touya off Shouto's back is by telling him that she made him something to eat.

    Natsuo Himura

Natsuo Himura

Quirk: Unnamed Ice Quirk

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/natsuo_todoroki_anime_profile.png

    Rei Himura

Rei Himura (formerly Todoroki)

Quirk: Frost

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rei_todoroki_anime_season_4.png

Shoto's mother, and Endeavor's ex-wife.

  • Adaptational Name Change: Goes by her maiden name instead of her married name.
  • Adaptational Badass: In canon she took her husband's abuse until she broke and hurt Shouto. Here, on the other hand, she eventually snapped and attempted to kill Endeavor when he pushed her too far.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Downplayed, but here she is not the one who gave Shouto his scar.
  • The Dog Bites Back: Unlike in canon, she didn't took Endeavor's abuse lightly, to the point she tried to kill him on the night Shoto supposedly got his scar.
  • Parents as People: Rei did her best to raise her kids, but the pressure of raising three kids, not to mention the "death" of one, plus Endeavor's own awful parenting skills, she inadvertdly caused more harm than good to her family.
  • Ship Tease: With David, much to Melissa's curiousity (and implied support).
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Implied to be the reason she's attracted to David, being a nice, capable man with a good relationship with his daughter.

    Naomasa Tsukauchi

Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi

Quirk: Human Lie Detector

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/c_chara_main69_1.png

A police officer who's a longtime friend of All Might, and one of the few people outside of the U.A. staff who knows All Might's secret. He aids U.A. in investigating the origins and nature of the Villain Consortium, and launches his own investigation into the possible survival of All For One.

  • By-the-Book Cop: Very much adheres to the letter of the law and proper procedure.
  • The Commissioner Gordon: He is a vital ally of All Might, supplying him with information about investigations.
  • Nice Guy: He's generally very amiable and pleasant, which is why he gets along so well with All Might.
  • Non-Action Guy: His overall is mostly investigative, leaving the actual fighting to All Might and other heroes. This, however, doesn't mean that he's useless - he's the one who's investigating All For One's survival, heading up north to look through the records of the hospital and morgue to figure out how he survived, and discovered Aoyama's condition through his investigation.

    Yukiri Yaoyorozu

Yukiri Yaoyorozu

Momo's mother.
  • Alliterative Name: Yukiri Yaoyorozu
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Happily talks to others about Momo's embarrassing stories when she was a child, much to Momo's mortification.
  • Domestic Abuse: Implied to be on the receiving end from her husband, Daikoku - if not physical, then definitely mental.
  • Extreme Doormat: Appears to be this for her husband - she's clearly terrified of him whenever he touches her but quickly agrees to all of his requests and demands without so much as a hint of resistance.
  • First-Name Basis: With Endeavor, altough is not reciprocated, in public at least.
  • Good Is Not Soft: She promises that Mineta will not just get off scot-free after he groped Momo during the Sports Festival.
  • Good Parents: She is very supportive and kind towards Momo.
  • O.C. Stand-in: She is mentioned in the supplemental materials, but she is not named or described further.

    Daikoku Yaoyorozu
See his tropes here.

    Katsuma Shimano

Katsuma Shimano

Quirk: Cell Activation

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/katsuma.png

A timid young boy who has a great love of heroes, much like Midoriya. His Quirk, "Cell Activation", allows him to heal others by activating their cells. In the future, he is shown to be one of the boyfriends of Eri, who has a hero worship of Izuku.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: He's shown watching the Sports Festival rather than appearing on Nabu Island during the December events of the story.
  • Childhood Friend Romance: If Eri's comments in the Flash Forward are any indication, she and Katsuma met soon after he met Izuku, which means that they'd have had to have been friends for a while before they got together.
  • Healing Hands: His Cell Activation allows him to speed up the activity of cells in the body of those he touches to heal their wounds and improve their physical performance.
  • Hero-Worshipper: His future self is shown admiring Izuku greatly, to the point that he calls Izuku his hero. This is actually shown in the past, where he's seen admiring Izuku during his match with Bakugou.
  • Luminescent Blush: Like Izuku and his own girlfriends, the future Katsuma tends to blush when he's flustered by Eri.
  • Nice Guy: He's a tender, compassionate and humble young man.
  • Shrinking Violet: Tends to act shy and embarrassed in the future, when Eri blatantly flirts with him. His first meeting with Izuku has him shy and stuttering over his words until he finds some ground to bond with Izuku with.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: He only briefly appears in present day to talk to Izuku, but it ends up being him that inspires Izuku to adopt the 'Spark' meme as his hero name.

    Mahoro Shimano

Mahoro Shimano

Quirk: Hologram

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mahoro.png

The older Shimano sibling, a headstrong young girl with a mild distrust of heroes. Her Quirk, "Hologram", allows her to create realistic looking holograms of whatever she wishes.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Similar to her brother, she's shown watching the Sports Festival rather than appearing on Nabu Island during the December events of the story.
  • Big Sister Instinct: She is very protective of Katsuma.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: She's introduced yelling for Katsuma, then after getting 'assaulted' with licks from Gūdo causes her to give Izuku a Death Glare and then complain to her dad.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Mahoro is a young girl with two pigtails.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's a little bit sassy and rude towards Izuku, but she's still caring towards her little brother.

    Mimi Hadou

Mimi Hadou

Nejire's mother, who is a fervant supporter of her relationship with Izuku.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Mimi wastes no time embarassing Nejire about her crush on Izuku, saying she already made plans for their wedding and having babies, much to Nejire's horror.
  • Expy: She is pretty much Akemi Aizawa, from Tomo-chan Is a Girl!, but with blue hair.
  • I Want Grandkids: She really wants Izuku to be her son-in-law and give her plenty of grandkids.
  • Shipper on Deck: Out of all the main characters parents, she is the most fervant supporter of her daughter being in a relationship with Izuku.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: She believes that the teachers purposedly paired Izuku with Ochako during the Sports Festival as a way to sabotage Nejire's chances with him. Well, yes, the teachers (or rather, Aizawa) paired them up on purpose, it was all part of a Zero-Approval Gambit to fix Bakugo's behaviour, that ended up not working at all.

    Hideaki Hadou

Hideaki Hadou

Nejire's father.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Mimi calls him Hidie or Hubby.
  • Agent Peacock: He has a very flaboyant look and over the top personality.
  • Alliterative Name: Hideaki Hadou.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: He is an actual lawyer, and his personality is all over the place.
  • Establishing Character Moment: He introduces himself by dramatically butting in the Kendo Family conversation during the move in, especifically how Itsuka gave "friend smooches" to someone. When he wife chasites him for ditching them, he apologizes and says he couldn't miss the opportunity to learn about some sweet drama.
  • Expy: He looks and acts like a purple haired version of Maxmillion Pegasus, from Yu-Gi-Oh!.
  • Large Ham: This quote sumrises him very clearly:
Hideaki: Soooooo sorry, my dear! I sensed dramaaaaaa, so I had to come investigate!
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: He is very flaboyant and over the top in comparison to Mimi, who is very non-sensical and stern, unless when it comes to her daughters love lives.
  • Purple Is Powerful: He has purple hair and wears a dark purple suit.
  • Verbal Tic: He reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaalyyyyy likes to drag out some wooooooooords.

    Niyuki Hadou

Niyuki Hadou.

Nejire's older sister.
  • Deadpan Snarker: In contrast to her sister, she is very snarky, especially with her parents:
Niyuki: I'm not interested in talking about my love life, with you Dad. But if you wanted to discuss my sex life, on the other hand -
Hideaki: That is not something we need to knoooooooooooow! Unless you get a boyfriend, in which case, we need to knooooow just in case of pregnancyyyyyyyyyyy!
Niyuki: That's a different problem in its entirety.
  • Only Sane Man: She is the only person remotely normal in the Hadou Family.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: In contrast to Nejire, who is very excited, curious and extrovert, Niyuki is stoic, deadpan an quiet.
