Evicted: 1-0 VS. NICOLE
HOH/POV Evicted Under: PAUL
Voted For (As Jury Member): PAUL

  • A Friend in Need: James consistently demonstrates a high level of kindness and compassion towards others, extending his support and comfort to individuals, regardless of his personal feelings towards them. He provided solace to Tiffany during her period of social exclusion, despite harboring reservations about her. James frequently engaged in conversations with Tiffany in order to foster a sense of belonging within her. James expressed his dissatisfaction with the mistreatment of both Frank and Bridgette by the houseguests. He expressed remorse for placing both individuals on the nomination block, acknowledging their difficult circumstances and admitting to breaking his promise.
  • All-Loving Hero: He perceives certain houseguests as potential obstacles to his strategic gameplay, but he does not single out individuals based on personal animosity towards them. Nevertheless, there has been a recent shift in this situation. It appears that he harbors a certain level of personal animosity towards Victor and Paul, particularly in relation to Natalie. James appears to hold the belief that Victor and Paul betrayed him, stemming from a falsehood conveyed by Nicole and Corey to James and Natalie. This perception arises from James' assumption that Paul harbored ill intentions towards him. It took on a personal nature when Natalie made an accusation against Paul, claiming that he sexually harassed her and made her feel uncomfortable by engaging in playful physical contact. James experienced feelings of jealousy and anger upon hearing Natalie's accusation, leading him to adopt a petty attitude towards Paul and devise a plan to have him evicted (which ultimately proved unsuccessful). James engaged in a consistent pattern of derogatory remarks about Victor and Paul, based solely on misinformation and a falsehood propagated by Nicole and Corey. This statement highlights a significant shift in James' behavior compared to his previous season, as his game moves were primarily driven by strategic considerations rather than personal motives.
  • Anti-Hero: While James is a good guy, he's become this as of late and is more than willing to throw everyone else besides Natalie under the bus. James is a cross between a Type II and Type IV. Some could argue he Took a Level in Jerkass.
  • Badass Adorable: James possesses qualities that are both endearing and admirable, making him a formidable competitor. James exhibits characteristics of a Pintsized Powerhouse, as despite being the shortest male houseguest of the season, he displays greater physical prowess compared to his larger counterparts. During the Week 5 Endurance HOH competition, James demonstrated remarkable endurance by lasting for a duration of five and a half hours, ultimately emerging as the victor. He achieved the position of runner-up in a Week 9 Endurance Wall competition, which he threw to Nicole. Despite his relatively diminutive stature, James exhibits remarkable physical prowess, enabling him to outlast individuals of greater strength and size within the household, including Paulie, Frank, and Corey. James demonstrated exceptional competitiveness in the previous season, emerging as a formidable contender by securing victories in numerous competitions. This outstanding performance established him as a significant threat to his opponents.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: James is prone to displaying a temper when provoked. He demonstrates a willingness to address individuals' conduct when he deems it necessary. Especially during the later stages of the game (Week 7 to Week 10), James undergoes a transformation in his behavior, exhibiting a more negative and darker persona. It is evident that he is adopting a more personal approach, a departure from James' original season where such behavior was not observed. It appears that he has lost his exuberant and playful nature, and there are indications that he has disengaged mentally and emotionally from the game. He has exhibited a certain degree of animosity, as evidenced by his endorsement of Natalie's allegations that Paul and Victor have engaged in flirtatious behavior and even subjected her to sexual harassment. James expressed his willingness to seek retribution against Paul and Victor in a game context, motivated by the false information Natalie provided about their alleged mistreatment of her. James is generally regarded as an amiable individual; however, it is advisable not to provoke him or harm those close to him.
  • Big Good: James is widely regarded as the most amiable houseguest of the season and could certainly be considered as the epitome of an All-Loving Hero, primarily due to his exceptional kindness and affability, which are arguably unmatched by any other houseguest this season, with the possible exception of Natalie. Despite his temporary alliance with Paulie during a certain phase of the game, it did not alter his classification as this particular trope. He can be perceived as the antithesis of Paulie, who can be regarded as the primary antagonist of the season. Nevertheless, the perception of James may vary, and it is possible to interpret his actions as a Subverted Trope, particularly in the later weeks. It was detrimental that he successfully betrayed two of his allies, Paul and Victor, who are widely admired both within and outside the game, and are perceived as the disadvantaged contestants. James has exhibited an escalation in his derogatory remarks towards fellow houseguests, displaying a tendency towards pettiness and personal attacks, particularly directed towards Natalie. In general, James maintains a positive character, however, his recent peculiar behavior suggests a shift towards the realm of an Anti-Hero (specifically, from Type II to Type IV).
  • The Cape: James can be categorized as exemplifying this trope due to his exceptional display of hospitality as a houseguest throughout the season, coupled with his consistent adherence to ethical principles and fair gameplay. Even his subtle acts of betrayal are perceived as innocuous and devoid of malice. He is additionally characterized as an All-Loving Hero, exemplifying a lack of personal animosity or hatred towards his fellow houseguests, and solely driven by strategic or game-related motives when it comes to evicting them. James demonstrates a compassionate nature by actively initiating conversations with houseguests who may feel excluded or ostracized, such as Tiffany. He goes out of his way to ensure that they feel included and accepted, even if they are being targeted by others. James is widely regarded as the prominent good figure of the season due to his exceptional likability and his demonstration of a remarkably clean gameplay and personal conduct. This sets him apart from several other houseguests, including Paulie, Nicole, Michelle, Frank, Tiffany, and even Natalie, who have been involved in questionable tactics or exhibited questionable behavior either in terms of gameplay or personal interactions.
  • The Casanova:
    • James has flirted with almost every single female houseguest, namely Natalie, Bridgette and Nicole (the latter of whom he admitted having had a crush on when she appeared in Season 16), and to some extent, Michelle. To his credit, it does make up for the fact that he got friend-zoned by Meg the previous season. And Da'Vonne definitely noticed...
Da'Vonne: "Oh, James, James, James. Let me tell you something, there has not been a girl who has not been on the receiving end of his flirting. Child, one minute, it's Nicole. [...] Then, it's Natalie. [...] You blink your eye, then it's off to Bridgette. [...] I'm just like, 'boy, is there anybody in this thing you won't touch?' [...] James, leave these girls alone, baby. It ain't no good. Get your head out the clouds."
    • Ironically, during a hometown montage aired the previous season, his roommate noted that James Has a Type, specifically blondes and women who are taller (like Meg was). Bridgette, Natalie and Michelle are brunettes, and those three and Nicole are much closer in height to James – who even cited Natalie as the "right height" for him (Natalie is 4'11").
  • Cowardly Lion: When it comes to telling someone that they are going to be evicted from the game, James says that he plans on letting the people that are going home know ahead of the eviction, but he never follows through.
  • The Cutie: James is highly regarded for his lovable nature, which stems from his endearing personality and his reputation as a kind-hearted individual. James consistently demonstrates kindness towards other houseguests and maintains a respectful attitude towards them, regardless of his personal feelings towards them. Notably, his diminutive physical stature adds to his overall charm. Despite his amiable nature, James also exhibits the characteristic of "Beware the Nice Ones," as he can assert himself strongly when provoked or challenged. The most effective approach to maintaining a positive relationship with adorable James is to avoid betraying him or causing harm to him or anyone he holds dear.
  • Deadpan Snarker: James can be sarcastic, sassy and snarky in his jokes.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Though he had his moments the previous season, he managed to avert this when Bronte changed her clothes in front of him while trying to get him to reveal what he knows about Frank winning the Week 3 Roadkill Competition, after she became suspicious that Natalie may have been keeping James' secret about who won.
  • Dogged Nice Guy: Towards Natalie. Although James holds the belief that he and Natalie are involved in a romantic relationship, or perhaps even a showmance, it is evident that Natalie does not share the same romantic sentiments towards James. The observed interactions between James and Natalie indicate that James displays a higher degree of interest in Natalie, while Natalie's level of interest in James appears to be comparatively lower. Natalie's evident preference for Victor and Paulie provides confirmation that James was not regarded as a potential showmance partner by her. As of Week 10, Natalie has clearly communicated to James her intention to establish and maintain a platonic relationship with him. James, however, seems to be unaware of Natalie's disinterest in pursuing a romantic relationship, whether it be within the boundaries of their shared living space or beyond. He exhibits unwavering resolve in his pursuit of Natalie's affection, despite the continuous disputes and clashes they experience in relation to the game and personal issues.
  • The Dragon: For Natalie. With the departure of Paulie, Natalie appears to have assumed the role of the primary antagonist, as she has recently been displaying her true nature. James appears to exhibit a strong inclination to comply with Natalie's desires, even when such compliance proves to be detrimental to his overall gameplay strategy. An illustration of this scenario occurred during Week 10, wherein Natalie sought to manipulate James into betraying Paul and Victor by nominating them, thus engaging in backstabbing behavior. Natalie effectively manipulated James, Victor, and Paul, causing them to develop animosity towards one another and erode their trust. This strategic move was driven by Natalie's desire to align herself with Corey and Nicole until the end. James has even deliberated on relinquishing his own game in favor of Natalie. His Undying Loyalty towards her is the extent of his commitment to Natalie.
  • Endearingly Dorky: James possesses an endearing and lovable personality, characterized by his dorky and silly nature. He is arguably the most affable resident of the current season, sharing this distinction with Natalie. James' victory in the America's Favorite Houseguest prize last season is not unexpected, given his likable personality that makes him a popular choice among viewers. This phenomenon can be regarded as an example of an Averted Trope, especially during the period between Week 7 and Week 10, as James has progressively become less likable over time. James has exhibited a heightened level of ruthlessness and unlikability due to his willingness to betray and undermine his allies, such as Victor and Paul, in order to advance his own position and that of Natalie within the game.
  • The Gadfly: Just as observed in Season 17, James dedicates a significant portion of his time to engaging in pranks and playful interactions with his fellow houseguests. In contrast to the previous season, James has engaged several other houseguests in executing practical jokes. These pranks have evolved from the hide-and-startle tricks that were predominantly employed in Season 17, although a few of these tricks have also been employed this season. For instance, he involved Frank and Corey in a modified version of the "shaving cream to the sleeping person's face" trick, and in Week 1, he collaborated with Natalie to drop popcorn kernels on specific other houseguests.
  • Good Ol' Boy: James originally hails from South Carolina, and currently lives in Texas, and has many of the personality aspects of this trope.
  • Good Is Not Soft/Good Is Not Nice: James could be this later in the game given that he's willing to throw almost all of his former allies under the bus, but still has a good heart.
  • Guile Hero: During his initial season, James exhibited limited strategic prowess and instead heavily relied on his competitive nature to secure his safety and that of his allies. This was achieved through his consistent success in winning various competitions. Nevertheless, it appears that during this particular season, James has adopted a distinct strategy in his gameplay. James has exhibited a shift towards a more strategic approach, prioritizing strategy over relying solely on winning competitions. James relies heavily on his social skills, as he has managed to establish positive relationships with every individual in the household. This has resulted in a lack of personal animosity towards James and no one actively pursuing him as a target. In this particular instance, it is evident that the James from "Big Brother 17" employed a more competitive approach by consistently winning competitions. However, the current season's James is relying heavily on strategic maneuvers and a strong social game in order to advance towards the final stages of the game. It appears that James is currently benefiting from the situation.
  • The Heart: James has been widely regarded as the most kind and pleasant individual. He appears to share this role with Natalie. James exhibits a lack of malevolence or ill-intent, as he has never engaged in personal attacks during gameplay. When James selects a target, his motivations are solely driven by game or strategic considerations, rather than personal ones. For instance, James exhibited opposition towards Frank and Bridgette in the context of a game. However, he strongly disapproved of any mistreatment or unkind behavior directed towards them solely based on their nomination and being targeted. James experienced similar sentiments towards Tiffany during the period when she was being socially excluded by the other residents of the house. He made an effort to engage in conversation with Tiffany and ensure her inclusion. This observation highlights James' notable level of compassion within a game that primarily revolves around deceit, manipulation, and betrayal. However, despite James' generally amiable nature, it is ill-advised to provoke him or interfere with individuals whom he regards as his companions and supporters. He demonstrates a willingness to actively support and protect an ally or friend who is in a vulnerable position.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: But who can blame him? We were all fooled by Nicole and Paulie. James' biggest issue seems to be he only sees the good in people and is hesitant to believe anything bad about them.
  • Magnetic Hero: Everyone seems to love James on a personal level in the house. Nobody is outright targeting him and he was last season's America's Favorite Houseguest.
  • Manipulative Editing: His argument with Natalie over his Final 2 deal with Nicole made Natalie look she was harassing him when major details of the argument were left out of the show such as Natalie making up with James which Natalie acknowledged during her eviction interview with Julie Chen.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Despite playing a weaker game this time, he's moved up four places since S17 putting this trope in place.
  • Nice Guy: This individual consistently demonstrates a commendable trait of refraining from making negative remarks about others, establishing himself as one of the most amiable houseguests within the residence. If slightly flirtatious. Natalie, who initially had a low level of popularity at the beginning of the season, managed to gain significant admiration from almost all individuals. Recently, his reputation has been somewhat compromised due to his affiliation with the "dark" faction within the group. He has exhibited a heightened level of protectiveness towards Nicole, Michelle, and his romantic relationship with Natalie, while simultaneously mistreating Victor and Paul, who were once his closest companions. Consequently, he can be characterized as displaying traits of a Jerk with a Heart of Gold. James continues to exhibit genuine qualities of goodness, albeit regrettably influenced by the company he keeps. Compare with Beware the Nice Ones.
  • Papa Wolf: To his young daughter at home, which explains why he's so flirtatious with some of his female houseguests: he's trying to find a good mom for her.
  • Pandering to the Base: Gets accused of this by other players and even by Julie upon his eviction. James focused more on trying not to rock the boat and win America's Favorite Player rather than trying to play hard.
  • Reality Show Genre Blindness: In Season 17, James pointed out that Audrey bringing in two more people to their initial existing six-person alliance was not a good idea for their game strategy. He seems to have forgotten that fact this season, considering he became a member of the Eight Pack alliance in the first week.
  • Ship Tease: While it has been pointed out James flirts with a lot of the female houseguests, he has a lot of this with Natalie.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: James has done this a lot on the live feeds to secure his win for America's Favorite Houseguest for a second time.

Corey Alan Brooks (Evicted HG #13, Juror #8)

Corey Alan Brooks

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/coreybb18_83.png

Born: Oct 31, 1990 (age at time of competition: 25)
Hometown: Dallas, TX
Current City Of Residence:' Dallas, TX
Occupation: Baseball Coach
Number Of HOH Wins: 2
Number Of POV Wins: 3
Number Of Times Nominated: 3
Number Of Times As Have-Not: 4
Prizes Won: $2,500, 1 Week Patriotard Punishment, A.C.P. #5 ($5,000 BRIBE)
Team: Freakazoids (Nicole, Corey, Tiffany, Glenn)
Finished: 4th Place [8TH JUROR]
Evicted: 1-0 VS. NICOLE
HOH/POV Evicted Under: PAUL (HOH/POV)
Voted For (As Jury Member): NICOLE

  • Action Survivor: Corey initially appeared to lack competitiveness, as he only achieved victory in a single Power of Veto competition during Week 4, failing to secure any other wins in subsequent competitions. Nevertheless, by Week 8, it became apparent that Corey had embraced his competitive nature as evidenced by his victories in both the Double Eviction Head of Household competition and the Power of Veto competition. He is demonstrating his competitive nature and the ability to succeed in competitions when he deems it necessary. He has not yet reached the level of competitiveness exhibited by Paulie and Victor, both of whom have won 5 competitions.
  • Ambiguously Gay: Corey has frequently expressed opinions regarding the physical appearance of other males. Corey has also exhibited behavior that suggests he is interested in or attracted to certain male houseguests, including Paulie and Victor. Certain interactions between Corey and the male houseguests have raised concerns, particularly his unusually close and physically affectionate relationship with Paulie, which surpasses the boundaries typically observed among Heterosexual Life Partners. Now that Paulie has departed, Corey appears to be redirecting his affectionate sentiments, previously directed towards Paulie, onto Victor. In the penultimate week, Corey begins to place his bromatic feelings towards James, as James has consistently demonstrated efforts to safeguard Nicole. His sexual orientation remains uncertain and is characterized by a significant level of ambiguity, although there is a genuine indication of romantic interest towards Nicole that surpasses mere friendship.
  • The Anti-Grinch: Corey absolutely adores Christmas. When he was playing for a POV competition which was Christmas themed, he was absolutely ecstatic and joyful. In fact, Corey loves Christmas so much that when he was evicted at the Final 4, production played Christmas music while he was walking out to meet Julie Chen for his interview.
  • Bash Brothers: With Paulie. Corey is basically Paulie's right hand man in the game and Paulie could be considered as Corey's main ally other than Nicole. Out of all of the other houseguests, Corey has said that he trusts Paulie the most and would never backstab him or betray him in the game. It is clear that the two have a very close relationship in the game and on personal level. Corey seems to have Undying Loyalty to Paulie and he always sticks up for him, even when Paulie doesn't deserve it.
  • Battle Couple: With Nicole, although it could be argued that it represents an averted. Nicole exhibited a strong sense of competitiveness during her initial season and emerged victorious in numerous competitions, establishing herself as the most formidable female contestant of that particular season. However, the situation appears to be contrary in this particular instance. Corey has achieved a greater number of victories in competitions compared to Nicole. Specifically, he has emerged victorious in 1 Head of Household competition and 2 Power of Veto competitions. Moreover, Corey appears to be the individual who carries the majority of the burden in terms of competition performance within their duo. Nicole's performance in the current season has demonstrated a lack of competitiveness. Despite this, it remains undeniable that Corey and Nicole continue to be widely regarded as the most formidable and potentially threatening pair remaining in the game.
  • The Big Guy/The Brute: Corey stands as the most towering male houseguest of the season, measuring an impressive 6'5" in height. He possesses a height that surpasses most of the other male houseguests, with the exception of Frank, who is 6'2". His stature has proven to be a drawback for him in certain instances during the game, particularly when he has been assigned the role of a Have Not. Corey is compelled to sleep in the bumper cars, and he has expressed his discomfort due to his excessive height, which prevents him from fitting comfortably inside them. His stature also presents a significant drawback in endurance competitions.
  • Birds of a Feather: With Paulie. Both Paulie and Corey are strongly athletic and competitive by nature. It isn't surprising, considering that they are both athletes (Paulie was a soccer player and Corey is a baseball player). It is no wonder why the two instantly bonded and aligned with each other since Day 1.
  • The Bore: Corey appears to possess a relatively subdued personality, often blending into the background, particularly when compared to his fellow male houseguests. He lacks the passion exhibited by Paulie, the straightforwardness displayed by Frank, the dramatic flair of Jozea, the likability and charisma possessed by James, the unpredictability demonstrated by Paul, and the sophistication exemplified by Victor.
  • Brainless Beauty: Corey is perceived as possessing physical attractiveness, yet he does not exhibit a high level of intellectual acumen or cognitive prowess. He is regarded as one of the least proficient strategists within the game. In summary, he presents himself as an athletic and competitive individual who lacks awareness of the true dynamics of the game. He relies on fellow houseguests, namely Paul and Paulie, for strategic guidance and game intuition. He unquestionably embodies the stereotype of the unintelligent athlete.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Corey's demeanor may be perceived as quirky and unconventional, yet certain houseguests have attested to his formidable presence in the game. This is primarily due to his exceptional ability to triumph in competitions, making him a significant threat. The level of Corey's intelligence remains uncertain, as it is unclear whether he strategically conceals it or if he genuinely lacks intelligence and relies on deception without the need for strategy to deceive others. He exhibits a striking resemblance to Hayden in this particular aspect.
  • Butt-Monkey: Corey has been designated as a Have Not on three separate occasions within a span of seven weeks. Corey has consecutively been designated as a Have Not on two occasions. The discomfort experienced by Corey while riding the bumper cars has negatively impacted his sleep patterns, which is considered detrimental to his well-being. The sleeping arrangements in the bumper cars prove to be uncomfortable for Corey due to his height, as he is unable to fit into them adequately. Consequently, whenever he is a Have Not, he not only experiences deprivation of nourishing food, but also suffers from insufficient sleep, resulting in extreme exhaustion.
  • The Charmer: He's mostly seen either hanging with Nicole or doing physical activities. Despite this, Corey's personality leaves much to be desired, since he doesn't really seem to have one. All he has going for him is his physical appearance.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: Definitely has shades of this. Corey can come off as pretty odd and out of touch a lot of the time. He even got easily confused in the Week 1 sandcastle puzzle competition, mostly because of the differences between the round and corner pieces they were supposed to assemble.
  • Creator's Pet: He is given a lot of screentime compared to the more liked houseguests such as Paul, Victor and Natalie. A very good example is that Corey who only cleaned the house once gets a cleaning segment while Victor who has been cleaning the house for months has not been noticed by the editors. His showmance with Nicole is promoted heavily by Big Brother and now he appears on an ad for the CBS Store's Big Brother section over fan favorites (and veto winners) Bridgette, Victor and Paul. Allegedly, the Week 11 veto was rigged for her and Corey. They even acknowledged this on the live feeds.
Nicole: "I didn't find the key until they told me where it was. I didn't know it floated until they told me it floated. The worst."
Corey: "Yeah they said get the pipe on the wall. Then use the gutter and line up the water into the key."
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Corey exhibits eccentric and unconventional behavior, often appearing disconnected from the game's dynamics. However, it is noteworthy that he was a member of the most formidable duo in the game, alongside Paulie. Despite lacking exceptional strategic skills and the ability to manipulate or persuade others like Paulie or even Paul, he has demonstrated his worth as a formidable competitor. Nevertheless, in recent weeks, specifically Week 7, he has demonstrated his ability to compete and exhibit exceptional performance in winning competitions. Some of the other houseguests, namely Paul, Victor, James, and Natalie, have expressed their perception of Corey as a significant competitive or physical menace.
  • Cute Clumsy Guy: Corey comes off as very clumsy and awkward at times. He appears this way because he is very awkward in how he carries himself. He is also very tall (he's 6'5" or 6'6") so he appears very gangly. Corey came off as very awkward when trying to adjust himself to fit in the bumper cars when he was a Have Not.
  • Death Glare: Corey often gives these towards people he does not like or trust. He gave these numerous times to Jozea, showing that he had strong contempt for him.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Corey is probably the most deadpan houseguest in the house. Even when he tries to say something funny or witty, he comes off as totally serious.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: A possible reason why he didn't last long in the sprinting Veto challenge because he was distracted by "Coach" Nicole.
  • The Dragon: For Paulie. Corey has consistently served as Paulie's primary supporter within the house since the commencement of the game. There exists a strong bond of unwavering loyalty between him and Paulie, which can be likened to the relationship between Cody and Derrick. They have maintained alignment with each other since the beginning. It appears that Corey has been demoted to the position of Paulie's second-in-command or backup ally, as Paul has assumed Corey's previous role as Paulie's primary confidant. Since Paul has betrayed Paulie, Corey has once again assumed the role of Paulie's primary and unwavering ally in the game, demonstrating his undying loyalty to him. He assumes the role of The Dragon to Nicole, serving as the physical strength complementing her intellectual prowess, although not achieving the same level of effectiveness as Paul and Victor.
    • Co-Dragons: Corey was this alongside Paul, Victor, James, Zakiyah, and Nicole, as they were all working for Paulie. It seems that as of Week 7 and 8, Corey is this along with Nicole since Paulie's other minions have either been evicted (Zakiyah) or they have completely turned against him (Paul, Victor, James).
    • The Creon: Corey doesn't seem to have any interest in breaking free from his his second in command or Number Two role to Paulie. Even after Paulie is evicted, he ends up continuing to play second in command to Nicole. Once Paulie is gone, Corey replaces Paulie with Nicole.
    • Dragon Ascendant: Corey will assume this position following the eviction of Paulie in Week 8. He harbors a desire for retribution against Paulie and Nicole, individuals who have betrayed him. The primary individuals he appears to focus on are Paul and Victor, although he does not hesitate to also target James and Michelle. Given Corey's unwavering loyalty towards Paulie and his perception that the other housemates betrayed both of them, it is highly probable that Corey will intensify his competitive efforts and target those individuals who he believes betrayed him. If Corey strategically navigates the game and avoids eviction following Paulie (as anticipated), there is a possibility that Corey could advance to the final stages due to his evident determination.
    • Dragon Their Feet: Corey has the potential to assume a certain role if Paulie is evicted during Week 8. It appears that Paulie has emerged as the primary target, with Corey and Nicole being considered as secondary targets in the event that Paulie wins the Power of Veto and removes himself from the nomination. It is highly probable that in the event Paulie becomes a member of the Jury, Corey will seek retribution for Paulie's eviction by targeting the individuals responsible for nominating both Paulie and himself, namely Paul and Victor.
    • Noble Top Enforcer: Corey exhibits a significantly higher level of kindness compared to Paulie. In reality, Paulie exhibits the characteristics of a Jerk Jock, displaying traits such as cockiness, arrogance, and an egotistical nature, coupled with a controlling personality. On the other hand, Corey embodies the qualities of a Lovable Jock, as he remains calm, laid back, and generally a Nice Guy, despite his occasional problematic tendencies. Corey's demeanor stands in stark contrast to Paulie's malevolent and malicious nature, as evidenced by instances where Corey has expressed his disagreement with Paulie's treatment of the other houseguests. Despite Paulie's role as The Leader and his control over the game, it is frequently Corey who assumes the responsibility of approaching Paulie and soothing him whenever he becomes excessively passionate or agitated about a matter.
    • Number Two: Corey is widely regarded as Paulie's primary ally and trusted confidant within the context of the game. In their collaborative partnership, Paulie assumes the role of The Leader, while Corey takes on the role of The Lancer. Personality-wise, they complement each other. Paulie exhibits a Hot-Blooded temperament characterized by aggression, dominance, impulsiveness, and emotional intensity, coupled with a Control Freak personality. In contrast, Corey embodies The Stoic demeanor, displaying calmness, emotional detachment, a laid-back attitude, aloofness, and being known as The Quiet One. The two individuals have formed a steadfast alliance from the very beginning. Consequently, they exhibit unwavering loyalty towards one another, establishing a strong bond as Bash Brothers and True Companions who consistently support and protect each other.
    • Villainous Friendship: Corey's unwavering loyalty towards Paulie in the game is not solely based on Paulie's prowess as a player, but rather stems from a genuine commitment rather than a sense of obligation or responsibility. Corey's loyalty to Paulie stems from their strong bond as Bash Brothers, which extends beyond their professional relationship and into a deep personal connection. Paulie has expressed a strong bond with Corey, referring to him as his brother, and displaying a protective Big Brother Instinct towards him. In numerous aspects, Corey serves as a replacement for Paulie in the role of Cody. Paulie and Corey served as each other's primary ally throughout the game, despite the fact that they both had additional allies aside from each other. It is evident that Paulie and Corey share a deep personal bond and have a strong relationship. Consequently, both individuals were greatly affected by the nomination of being placed alongside each other. Paulie explicitly expressed his reluctance to engage in a campaign against Corey in order to secure his own position.
  • Dramatic Irony: For all the effort Nicole and Corey put into their showmance and to getting rid of victor, Nicole eventually ended up breaking things off with Corey and dating Victor. Long story short, Nicole discovered the things about Corey the fans weren't happy with, and she broke up with him. Looks like Corey's been left hanging high and dry. On top of that, the last time Nicole was in a showmance with someone, it also fizzled out, and that time it even cost her the game.
  • Dude, Not Funny!: On the live feed, Corey joked over a story of his friend Vinny getting so drunk he tried setting a goat on fire at their baseball house. It angered a significant part of the BB fanbase because it crossed the line between hilarity and disturbing.
  • Dumb Jock/Dumb Muscle: Corey exhibits a strong inclination towards athleticism and competitiveness, although his intellectual acumen and sharpness are not particularly noteworthy, often giving the impression of being somewhat dim-witted on certain occasions. It can be confidently asserted that strategy and game instincts are not his forte in this particular game. He relies on Paulie for guidance on decision-making and strategic planning within the game. So far, Corey has emerged victorious in a cumulative count of five competitions; however, it is evident that his strategic acumen is significantly deficient. Although Nicole lacks strategic expertise, it appears that she consistently attempts to provide him with strategic guidance. Although both Corey and Nicole may be perceived as lacking intelligence, it appears that Nicole has been assuming the strategic responsibilities, while Corey has been excelling in the competitive aspect. It is worth noting that Nicole has also demonstrated her competitive prowess by achieving a winning streak in recent weeks.
  • Everything is Big in Texas: Corey is the largest and tallest houseguest of the season (Corey is 6'5") and he originally comes from Texas. He is most definitely The Big Guy of the season. It is uncertain if he could classify as being a Genius Bruiser because it seems as though Corey is not all that bright. Even though he is strongly athletic, it's questionable if he has one ounce of strategy.
  • Gender-Blender Name: The name Corey is actually a unisex name. Both males and females can be given the name Corey. Despite it being a unisex name, however, it is more common name among males, especially with this particular spelling. The feminine version is normally spelt "Cori" or "Corie".
  • Genius Ditz: Corey demonstrates a commendable level of proficiency in competitions, particularly those of a physical nature. However, he appears to lack the innate ability to strategize and apply logical reasoning in such contexts. He relies on individuals such as Paulie and even NICOLE, despite her lack of intelligence, to gain some insight into the strategic aspects of the game. Corey's intellectual abilities are not particularly impressive. It appears that Corey is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
  • Gentle Giant: Corey is The Big Guy but he is also a reasonably calm and Nice Guy. Corey does not seem to be the type of guy that looses his temper quickly. He is not an intimidating tall guy and he has a generally calm and even temperament. Going by his interactions with Nicole, he is also a big time cuddler as well. He seems to be the opposite of Austin Matelson (from Big Brother 17), who was also 6'5" like Corey but seemed to look more intimidating than Corey. Corey probbaly looks less intimidating than Austin because Corey is a very clean cut all-American guy while Austin looks like he is unkempt and unhygenic.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: Corey is the Huge Guy to Nicole's Tiny Girl. While Corey is super tall and The Big Guy (he is 6'5" or 6'6"), Nicole is Fun Size who is really petite in stature (she is between 5'0" and 5'3"). Whenever the two of them are standing next to each other, the height difference between the two of them extremely noticeable. The height difference between Nicole and Corey is the opposite of James and Natalie, who are both Fun Size and are both short.
  • Icy Blue Eyes: Corey seems to have very piercing blue eyes. They can be particularly scary when he is giving a Death Glare towards someone, in which he gave to Jozea constantly. Corey's blue eyes are also noticeable when he is staring off into space. His eyes could definitely be considered his most noticeable defining feature.
  • Irrational Hatred: Corey appeared to exhibit this behavior towards both Jozea and Da'Vonne. Corey's strong aversion towards Jozea can be attributed to Jozea's intolerable personality, which was universally disliked by almost everyone in the house on a personal level. Corey expressed that Jozea's behavior had a significant impact on him, as Jozea frequently made inappropriate remarks about Corey's sexuality, leading Corey to believe that Jozea had overstepped boundaries. Corey also expressed a disapproval towards Jozea's demeanor characterized by a know-it-all attitude, as well as his incessant boasting about his exceptional qualities as an individual. Furthermore, Corey has exhibited an irrational aversion towards Da'Vonne and has taken it upon himself to consistently engage in derogatory conversations about her in her absence, while also repeatedly singling her out as a target. Corey's apparent animosity towards Da'Vonne may stem from his awareness of her alleged intention to nominate him for eviction, with the aim of dismantling his relationship with Nicole and disrupting the existing showmances involving James and Natalie, as well as Paulie and Zakiyah. Additionally, it appears that Corey harbors a profound aversion and animosity towards Natalie. He has consistently expressed his disapproval of her due to her perceived sense of entitlement and spoiled behavior, as she conducts herself in a manner reminiscent of a privileged princess who is accustomed to having everything effortlessly provided for her. Corey has expressed his perception of Natalie as being inauthentic and consistently adopting a victim mentality when her desires are not fulfilled.
  • Lovable Jock: Corey possesses athletic abilities and actively participates in the sport of baseball. He exhibits qualities of being a reasonably pleasant individual for the majority of the time. He bears a striking resemblance to Hayden Voss, a former hockey player from "Big Brother 16". Like Hayden, he exhibits eccentric and idiosyncratic tendencies, displaying a somewhat unconventional and whimsical nature. Corey exhibits a notable level of humility and groundedness, displaying a lack of inclination towards flaunting his physical strength and athletic abilities. Corey appears to exhibit a sense of modesty regarding both his athletic prowess and his aptitude for achieving victory in competitions. Both Hayden and Corey have refrained from utilizing their physical abilities and athletic prowess to intimidate any of the other houseguests. Corey's personality stands in stark contrast to that of Paulie, who can be characterized as a Jerk Jock due to his highly aggressive, cocky, arrogant, and brash demeanor. Paulie exhibits a notable level of arrogance when compared to Corey, as he consistently boasts and discusses his exceptional competitive abilities and his strategic mindset. This behavior suggests that he possesses a natural inclination for the game. While Corey exhibits a more stoic demeanor, characterized by being calm, composed, and relaxed, Paulie displays a more hot-blooded nature, characterized by being dominant, controlling, aggressive, and passionate. Given that Corey and Paulie were both athletes or jocks, their contrasting personalities raised doubts about the reasons behind Corey's alignment with Paulie. It seemed questionable why Corey would associate himself with someone like Paulie in the first place.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Nicole's constant distraction by the allure of his presence serves as a sufficient illustration. Corey possesses a visually appealing physique and frequently engages in shirtless activities within the confines of the house. It is more common to see him without a shirt than with one. In actuality, he appears to compete with Paulie for the title of being the most frequently shirtless individual within the confines of the house. Nicole consistently expresses her admiration for Corey's physical attractiveness, often showering him with compliments. Unfortunately, Corey rarely reciprocates these compliments towards Nicole.
  • Non-Action Guy: Only at the initial stages of the game. Corey's competitive nature appeared to be somewhat lacking, despite his athleticism. In subsequent weeks, his level of competitiveness significantly increased, leading to his success in winning clutch competitions. As of Week 11, Corey has accumulated a total of five victories in competitions, indicating a potential winning streak. He can now be unequivocally categorized as an Action Hero. Although Corey's strategic abilities are limited and his social game appears to be weak, it is worth questioning the extent of his genuine connections or relationships with the other houseguests, aside from Paulie and Nicole. Despite his weaknesses, he possesses a strong competitive spirit.
  • Sleep Walking: In his intro package, Corey admits to sleepwalking quite frequently. An instance he particularly cites being having once even woken up under a car at a 7-Eleven parking lot wearing only underwear. He has been seen to sleep walk in the house, which causes the other houseguests to be very disturbed and confused by his behaviour. He has also mumbled weird things in his sleep, including something about Harry Potter.
  • The Stoic: Corey exhibits a demeanor characterized by aloofness and a lack of emotional expression. He presents himself in a manner that is highly serious and emotionally distant. Even during his interactions with Nicole, there are instances where he appears to be disinterested in her, as he occasionally refrains from displaying affection.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Paulie and Nicole. Corey appears to have a strong attachment to these two individuals, considering them to be his most loyal and dependable companions. He is willing to go to great lengths in order to ensure their safety and well-being. Corey is widely regarded as Paulie's primary confidant within the game, and their relationship is characterized by a profound sense of camaraderie and mutual reliance. In the game, Corey perceives the responsibility to safeguard Nicole due to their showmance partnership.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: Rivals Paulie for the most scenes witnessed topless.

Voted For (As Jury Member): PAUL

  • The Ace: Victor stands out as the most formidable contender within the household due to his consistent triumphs in a multitude of competitions. He possesses commendable social skills and is highly regarded for his amiable personality. He possesses physical attractiveness, along with a pleasant and respectable personality. Additionally, he exhibit sophistication, articulate speech, and maintain a clean and tidy appearance. What are the reasons for not liking him?
  • Action Hero: Victor exhibits exceptional strength and prowess as a competitor within the game. He has achieved victory in a cumulative sum of ten competitions, taking into account both the Battle Back and the Jury Buy Back competitions. He is an individual with a strong passion for competition, who thoroughly enjoys engaging in competitive activities. In their partnership, Victor assumes the role of the Brawn, excelling in physical competitions, while Paul takes on the role of the Brains, strategically planning and executing game moves.
  • Agent Peacock: Victor is muscular and athletically built. He seems to take pride in his physical appearance and comes off as a bit of a gym junkie or a gym rat. Victor definitely has shades of being metrosexual.
  • All Love Is Unrequited: The portrayal of his emotions and the dynamics of his relationship with Natalie are depicted accurately. Victor engaged in a brief romantic relationship with Natalie during the initial stages of the game. The apparent mutual interest between them led observers to believe that Victor and Natalie were deeply involved with each other. However, it was later revealed that Victor's feelings towards Natalie were not reciprocated, resulting in an unrequited and one-sided "showmance" on his part. However, Natalie harbored emotions for Victor, and she experienced profound distress upon his rejection. The repercussions of the brief romantic involvement continued to distress Natalie for several weeks, and she persistently discussed Victor's mistreatment of her within the household.
  • Badass Bookworm: Despite Victor's relative weakness in strategic gameplay and occasional lack of game instincts, he possesses a notable level of intellectual acumen. According to his statement, he possesses a degree in Finance and has professional experience in the field of Finance. In fact, Victor possessed a nerdy and intelligent demeanor that closely resembled Steve Moses, the victorious contestant of "Big Brother 17," in terms of both physical appearance and personality traits. But based solely on Victor's current appearance, one would never surmise that he was, in fact, a studious individual who engaged in numerical pursuits. Victor's robust physical stature qualifies him as a Genius Bruiser.
  • Bash Brothers: With Paul. Paul undeniably served as Victor's most trusted confidant and intimate companion within the household. The two individuals exhibit a profound and unwavering loyalty towards each other, and they have openly expressed their intention to remain together until the conclusion of the game. Paul and Victor possess a robust and intimate connection, thereby enhancing the strength of their relationship. Victor exhibited a similar behavior towards Jozea, albeit to a lesser degree.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Vic is generally perceived as a kind and considerate individual. It is not advisable to betray or oppose him in any manner. He occasionally displays a temper, although he generally keeps it concealed. An instance occurred when Corey nominated both him and Paul for eviction during the Final 5 stage. When Victor was taken by surprise by Corey's nomination, particularly because it targeted his closest ally, he expressed his discontent to Corey and Nicole, conveying his strong feelings of anger and frustration towards their decision. He explicitly informed Corey and Nicole that in the event he were to remain in the game, he would adopt a ruthless and relentless strategy, actively targeting them with great intensity. As previously mentioned, Victor exhibits a calm, composed demeanor and generally maintains a harmonious disposition. However, it is ill-advised to provoke him. He will undoubtedly express his viewpoint, which is unlikely to be favorable.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Towards Paul. The two have a very close relationship and Victor obviously sees Paul as a little brother that he has to look out for and protect. It is clear that Victor is older than Paul because it is always Victor that is the more level headed and calmer of the two. Victor is always trying to keep Paul in check and make sure that he does not go over the edge. Totally something a big brother would do for a little brother.
  • The Big Easy: Victor originally hails from the New Orleans suburb of Slidell, Louisiana.
  • Big Good: Victor has assumed the position previously held by James, who has transitioned into more of an Anti-Hero. Since Victor's return to the game after winning three rounds of Battle Back, he has undergone a significant transformation in terms of his character, displaying a notable increase in kindness and becoming one of the most respectable and well-regarded houseguests of the season. While initially perceived as amiable, compassionate, or well-liked, certain houseguests such as James, Natalie, and Paulie underwent a transformation in their behavior, becoming less agreeable over time. In contrast, Victor exhibited a complete reversal of his personality from the early stages of the game. Victor has exhibited increased sociability with the other houseguests, demonstrating his inherent kindness and understanding nature. Victor emerges as a prominent figure in the latter portion of the season, positioning himself as a potential contender for the title of America's Favorite Houseguest. Alongside James, Natalie, Paul, and Bridgette, he stands a strong chance of winning the accolade, provided he does not reach the final stages of the game.
  • The Big Guy: Victor is not a tall guy like Corey or Frank but he is one of the physically larger set male houseguests in that he is very muscular and athletically built. Victor seems to have reasonably larger muscles and he has somewhat of a Heroic Build. Although he is no shrimp in the height department either (he is approximately 6'0").
  • Big Eater: Victor is the biggest eater of the season. Most of the houseguests have complained about Victor eating up all of the food and not sparing any of it for the rest of the houseguests. Victor probably eats a lot because he is very physically active and requires a lot of calories.
  • Brains and Brawn: Victor possesses physical strength and athleticism, while Paul demonstrates intellectual prowess and strategic thinking. While Victor exhibits characteristics of an Action Hero, relying on his physical prowess and competitive nature to excel in various competitions, Paul, on the other hand, embodies the traits of a Strategist and Guile Hero. Paul relies on his keen game instincts, manipulation tactics, and strategic thinking to gain an advantage in the game. Paul and Victor form a complementary duo due to their respective strengths and weaknesses. That being said, it should not be assumed that Victor lacks intelligence or that Paul is not a formidable competitor.
  • Brainless Beauty: Victor possesses physical attractiveness, yet his intellectual acumen and strategic prowess in the game appear to be lacking. His notable attributes appear to lie in his proficient social skills and formidable competitive prowess. Could be exhibiting the strategy of Obfuscating Stupidity, as demonstrated by his victory over Bronte in a memory competition. The ultimate subversion occurred. While his gaming skills may not be exceptional, he possesses a master's degree in finance and exhibits characteristics of a physically fit intellectual, as he dedicates a significant amount of time to reading when he is not engaged in physical exercise. It can be inferred that Victor was previously overweight, and his motivation for engaging in rigorous exercise is to avoid appearing unattractive to women, thereby highlighting his excessive concern for his physical appearance as his primary flaw.
  • The Casanova: Openly stated in his intro that he wanted to flirt his way though the game. He also was happy that he was free to flirt with women outside of his parents' house, a place which he also acknowledged didn't leave him much room to bring women home, given that he lives with not only his parents, but his sisters and baby nephew.
  • Competition Freak: Victor is obviously the strongest competitor in the game overall. Many of the other houseguests have commented how Victor is a huge competition threat and that he would be very hard to beat at the end. He has won a total of 7 competition wins (3 rounds of Battle Back, 1 Roadkill, 2 Head of Households, and 1 Power of Veto).
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: It appears that Victor may not possess the highest level of intelligence, but in reality, he is much more intelligent than he portrays. More than anything, he exemplifies the concept of Obfuscating Stupidity. Although he possesses a formidable physical presence due to his muscular build and athleticism, he has also demonstrated his prowess in mental competitions. This was evident when he emerged victorious over Bronte in a memory competition during one of the rounds of the Battle Back competition. Victor may initially appear to be lacking in strategic thinking or intelligence, earning him the label of a "Brainless Beauty" in the game. However, upon closer examination, it becomes evident that he possesses a keen intellect and sharpness. He may be employing the persona of a Dumb Jock as a strategic maneuver to deceive the other houseguests.
  • The Cutie: The guy's grown to be very idealistic and endearing, not to mention more likeable after returning from the Battle Back competition. He's very handsome, and also has shown he's quite capable of being a Nice Guy.
  • The Dandy: Victor is very looks conscious and he cares about his physical appearance. He makes it his mission to look his very best. Not surprising that he spends a lot of time grooming himself and working out to keep his body in shape. In some ways, Victor has shades of being metrosexual.
  • The Determinator: Victor is very competitive and HE NEVER GIVES UP. He is a fighter and he has shown extreme persistence and determination when he wants to win something. Because of Victor's determination and persistence, some of the houseguests have viewed him as a huge threat.
  • The Dog Bites Back: In Week 7, Victor nominated Paulie alongside his number one ally Corey. Victor felt that it was the time to get back at Paulie for back dooring him and evicting him in Week 2. Victor even went out of his way to blindside Paulie (and Corey) before nominations. Paulie getting evicted under Victor's Head of Household reign was a big dose of Laser-Guided Karma for Paulie. In addition, all of Paulie's allies, including Victor himself, turned on Paulie.
  • The Dragon: For Paulie. Victor has articulated in his Diary Room sessions that his allegiance is with Paulie and Paul. It is intriguing to note that Paulie, despite being the one responsible for evicting Victor early in the season. Victor's motivation for collaborating with Paulie largely stems from their shared desire to establish an all-male Final 5. In fact, Victor went so far as to form an exclusive alliance named "The Executives" with Paulie, Corey, James, and Paul.
    • Co-Dragons: Victor was this along with Paul, Corey, Nicole, Zakiyah, and James for Paulie. Victor aligned with Paulie when he returned to the game and had pledged a degree of loyalty to him. His number one ally and friend in the house still seemed to be Paul though.
    • Dragon Ascendant: Like Paul, Victor has the potential to assume this role if Paulie is eliminated during Week 8. He currently assumes the role of The Starscream, having betrayed Paulie alongside Paul. This decision was motivated by his belief that Paulie had been disloyal and had no intention of bringing him to the final stage, a claim that holds true. It is conceivable that Paul and Victor could potentially assume the roles of Paulie and Corey, respectively, given that Paul has already begun exerting control over Victor and his gameplay, resulting in Victor aligning himself with Paul's desires.
    • Dragon with an Agenda: Victor exhibited a strong commitment to maintaining his allegiance with Paulie, Paul, James, and Corey, as evident from his actions and behavior. In Week 7, Victor assumed the role of Head of Household and made his nominations for eviction. Michelle and Zakiyah were the individuals he chose, with Zakiyah being his primary target. Victor expressed his desire to evict Zakiyah, while Paulie advocated for Michelle's eviction. Victor justified his decision by stating that he believed Zakiyah would nominate him if she were to win the Head of Household competition, and that he did not have a strong personal connection with her. Paulie, conversely, expressed a desire to eliminate Michelle due to his perception of her as a significant game threat. Additionally, he recognized Michelle's status as a Wild Card, characterized by her unpredictability, which posed a potential risk to his gameplay. As events unfolded, Michelle indeed managed to disrupt his game. It is evident that despite being allies and initially planning to reach the Final 5 as a cohesive unit, they exhibited differing game agendas.
    • Noble Top Enforcer: Victor possesses a significantly more pleasant demeanor in comparison to Paulie. Despite Victor's initial display of problematic behavior and tendencies in the early stages of the game, it can be argued that he possessed underlying qualities that made him a relatively decent individual. A significant portion of Victor's adverse conduct can be attributed to the influence exerted by Jozea. In the comparison between Victor and Paulie, it is evident that Victor embodies the characteristics of a calm and collected Lovable Jock, whereas Paulie exhibits traits of being hot-headed and controlling as a Jerk Jock.
    • The Starscream: As of Weeks 7 and 8, he has exhibited a complete change in attitude towards Paulie, resulting in the decision to nominate him alongside his primary ally, Corey. Victor's decision to betray Paulie stemmed from his perception of Paulie's disloyalty and lack of commitment to their alliance, which was formed with the intention of reaching the Final 5. Additionally, Victor viewed Paulie as a formidable competitor, recognizing the challenge he posed in Victor's quest to reach the final stages of the competition. Furthermore, it is worth noting that Victor harbored a sense of distrust towards Paulie due to the latter's direct involvement in Victor's initial eviction. This occurred when Paulie executed a backdoor strategy against Victor while holding the Head of Household (HOH) title.
  • Dumb Jock/Dumb Muscle: Victor appears to possess a strong physique but lacks intellectual capacity or cognitive abilities. However, it is worth noting that this situation could be seen as an Averted Trope. Victor has explicitly mentioned possessing a degree in Finance and has also emerged victorious over Bronte, a mathematician, in a memory competition during the Battle Back competition. Victor can be categorized as an individual who exhibits the trait of Obfuscating Stupidity, wherein he may give the impression of lacking intelligence, but in reality possesses a higher level of intellectual capacity than initially perceived.
  • Emotional Bruiser: Victor exhibits a robust physical fitness and athleticism, characterized by well-developed muscles. However, beneath this exterior, Victor possesses a profound tenderness and sensitivity.
  • Fatal Flaw: Victor exhibits an excessive level of honesty and openness regarding his gameplay. It ultimately exposes him to potential elimination by Week 2, and it results in his eviction through the backdoor method. When the individual resumes participation in the game, he demonstrates an apparent ability to rectify this imperfection and maintain discretion regarding his gameplay and underlying motives.
  • Fighting Your Friend: Laments on how in the second phase of the Battle Back he has to battle his bud, Jozea. He ended up beating him in the end.
  • Genius Bruiser: Averted Trope. Although Victor may give the impression of being primarily athletic and physically inclined, he is, in fact, a Badass Bookworm who possesses a high level of intellectual prowess. Although Victor's intellectual and nerdy side is seldom displayed, he predominantly exhibits his physical and athletic abilities. He may be concealing his intellectual abilities for tactical purposes, in order to avoid being perceived as a formidable individual who possesses both mental acuity and physical strength.
  • Genius Ditz: Although Victor displays remarkable physical prowess and athleticism, his aptitude for excelling in competitions does not necessarily translate to strength in strategic thinking and social dynamics. Paul appears to possess a strong aptitude for strategy and manipulation. This statement does not imply that Victor lacks intelligence, as he demonstrates intelligence in other aspects. Even Paul asserts that he possesses the intellectual prowess in contrast to Victor's physical strength within their collaborative partnership.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: Victor does this in a DR entry during the third round of the Battle Back competition, when illustrating his confusion over which described object applies to which houseguest in the photos flashing on the video screen.
  • Heroic Build: Victor is the most athletically built male houseguest of the season next to Paulie and Corey.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Paul. The two are Bash Brothers in the game and they have a very close relationship in the game. The two have Undying Loyalty to each other. Victor and Paul are so incredibly bromantic that they even bicker and communicate with each other Like an Old Married Couple.
  • Hot-Blooded: Victor definitely has his moments of being a little hot headed and passionate at times. However, for the most part, he is rather calm and collected. Victor will only get heated if he is provoked into anger or if he feels like he was slighted or betrayed in some way. An example of Victor showing off his temper was after Jozea was unexpectedly blindsided and evicted.
  • Keet/Large Ham: Is largely this in the battle back competition being extremely energetic and fun loving, while also hamming it up for the cameras when he wins, almost like a pro wrestler. Too bad he didn't get to show this side of himself in the house. When he comes back in we get to see it though.
  • Latin Lover: Ultimately averted game-wise. He is inferred in his intro package to be one, and initially seems as if he's attempting to be this in the house, showing strong interest in several of the women... especially Natalie. Considering he was the third one evicted, Victor didn't get much of a chance to gain a flirtmance or a showmance.
  • Lovable Jock: Even guys have admitted Victor is gorgeous and likeable, not to mention nicer than Paulie, if a bit Hot-Blooded at times.
  • Manly Tears: Shedded a few when Jozea left. He even stated in the DR entry in which he did this that he wouldn't normally cry, but couldn't help it on account of Jozea being his closest ally.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Victor is the champion of the Battle Back twist. He won a total of three rounds of the Battle Back competition to earn his way back into the game, beating out Jozea, Bronte and Tiffany. And then again, immediately after being voted out, he manages to fight his way back in in the second Battle Back competition of the season.
  • Nice Guy: After coming back from the Battle Back competition, Victor has shown to be a very compassionate and mellow guy. While he is muscular, he's actually a big softie with a close relationship with another male houseguest just like Steven Moses (John in Steven's case, and Paul in Victor's case) of last season.
  • Those Two Guys/True Companions: With Paul, of course. Paul is by far Victor's closest friend and ally in the game and the two have Undying Loyalty to each other.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Definitely became much more humble and sociable after he came back into the house by winning the Battle Back. It could be argued that Natalie's goodbye message to him when he was evicted could have had some influence or some effect on Victor changing his attitude.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Jozea and Paul.
  • Will Not Tell a Lie: One of the reasons Jozea was targeted was because Victor told Nicole, the HOH at the time, that the newbies plan to remain together and that Jozea is deadset on eliminating the veterans. Nicole acknowledged that this wasn't the brightest move since it effectively threw a target on the newbies. After winning the second Roadkill Challenge, he decided to tell the HOH (Frank), who plans to backdoor him, that he won.

Natalia Mercedes "Natalie" Negrotti (Evicted HG #11, Juror #6)

Natalia Mercedes "Natalie" Negrotti

Voted For (As Jury Member): NICOLE

  • Affably Evil: Natalie's initial impression of being amiable and affable towards others is contradicted by her recent behavior, which has revealed her true nature as cunning, deceitful, and merciless. Natalie does not exhibit the level of sweetness and kindness that she attempts to portray. Plus, she exhibits a tendency to feign friendliness towards individuals, only to subsequently engage in deceitful behavior, betray them, and engage in derogatory conversations about them behind their back, all while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. Overall, Natalie exhibits a similar level of cattiness as Michelle, albeit with a more adept ability to conceal her manipulative and catty behavior. She exhibits a facade of friendliness towards Paul, maintaining a pleasant demeanor in his presence. However, when Paul is absent, she engages in a pattern of personally attacking him and consistently undermining his character. The level of personal animosity she displays towards Paul has reached such a degree that she has gone as far as to question his religious beliefs, as well as Michelle's, solely based on his views about Heaven and Hell. She has persistently criticized Victor and consistently disparaged his character without any apparent justification, despite appearing amicable in his presence. During the week of Zakiyah's eviction, Natalie informed Zakiyah about the potential manipulation by Paulie. However, it was later revealed that Natalie's disclosure to Zakiyah was not driven by genuine concern. She acted with a deliberate intention to incite discord between Paulie and Zakiyah, aiming to foster animosity towards Paulie within Zakiyah. This strategy was devised to undermine Paulie's ability to protect himself. Natalie appears to be leveraging James for strategic purposes, primarily due to her recognition of his popularity among fans in the previous season. It appears that she is exploiting him through her inconsistent behavior of alternating between showing interest and withdrawing it. Natalie's petty behavior has contributed to James' transformation into a somewhat disliked dark Anti-Hero in recent times. It is evident that Natalie exerts a detrimental influence on individuals she interacts with.
  • Alliterative Name: Both her first and last name start with "N". Her first name is Natalie and her last name is Negrotti.
  • Alpha Bitch: Initially, Natalie was perceived as a person who displayed kindness towards everyone, earning her the reputation of being a Nice Girl. However, recent events have revealed her true nature, as she has exhibited behavior that is characterized by being catty, bitchy, and mean. This has positioned her as one of the most unpleasant female houseguests of the season. She is known for her propensity for engaging in derogatory and confrontational conversations, making her one of the most notorious individuals in the house, second only to Michelle. Natalie consistently engages in derogatory conversations and spreads rumors about the other residents of the house, going so far as to criticize certain female residents in their absence. Natalie's behavior can be seen as hypocritical as she promotes solidarity among girls and the elimination of male houseguests, while simultaneously engaging in negative discussions about the women residing in the house. However, despite her derogatory remarks towards certain women, her primary focus is on criticizing the male houseguests. She employs a strategy of character defamation, labeling all the men as jerks, while simultaneously utilizing her sexuality and flirtation as a means of manipulation. Subsequently, she turns the tables by using their previous interactions against them when she desires their removal from the situation. This tactic was observed in her interactions with Victor, Paulie, Paul, and James. What exacerbates the situation is Natalie's consistent attempt to feign sweetness and friendliness towards individuals, only to subsequently engage in derogatory remarks about them in their absence. Natalie often relies on the victim card as a means to achieve her desired outcomes, displaying a high level of emotional manipulation. Natalie exhibits characteristics of a Type 2 personality, as she can be described as a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing. While she may appear sweet and friendly to others, she often engages in catty and mean behavior behind their backs. Natalie exhibits characteristics of The Ditz, a persona that may initially give the impression of lacking intelligence and cunning. However, occasional displays of unexpected intelligence and cunning suggest a deeper level of intellect and strategic thinking. If one desires to make a reference Mean Girls, Natalie can be considered as a highly comparable character to Regina George.
  • Badass Adorable: Natalie possesses endearing qualities such as sweetness, likability, and a petite stature; however, it would be a mistake to underestimate her. She has demonstrated her ability to compete and exhibits a resolute determination to face any challenge that comes her way. Natalie exhibited remarkable resilience during the Week 7 Head of Household (HOH) competition, despite ultimately being defeated by Victor. She possesses a higher level of intelligence than commonly perceived, and her ability to accurately assess the dynamics within the house has been consistently impressive.
  • Bait the Dog: Initially, the individual appeared to possess amiable qualities and gave the impression of being an exceptionally pleasant houseguest. However, during Weeks 8 and 9, it became evident that she has displayed tendencies of being spiteful and unpleasant. Initially, Natalie appeared to be someone who refrained from engaging in gossip or speaking ill of others behind their backs. However, it has become evident that she has no qualms about resorting to such behavior. In this particular instance, it is evident that she does not possess the level of kindness and sweetness that she attempts to portray. She can be considered as one of the most confrontational female houseguests, rivaling Michelle in terms of cattiness. Natalie's ability to conceal that aspect of her personality for an extended period of time is the sole distinction. Since acquiring authority, she has demonstrated a sense of entitlement and displayed characteristics of an alpha female. Hence, it is unsurprising that Paulie labeled Natalie as a "Spoiled Venezuelan Princess". The individual in question exhibits certain characteristics that suggest a tendency towards self-absorption and self-centeredness.
  • Beneath the Mask: Came off as a really sweet and innocent person who was a Nice Girl, but has shown that she can be just as catty, mean spirited and trash talking as Michelle. The only difference between Michelle and Natalie is that Michelle let it known that she was a mega bitch right from the start, but Natalie hid that side of her personality.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Natalie exhibits qualities of being a generally pleasant individual, however, she has demonstrated that she should not be disregarded or underestimated. Natalie possesses a higher level of intelligence than she outwardly portrays, and she has amassed a substantial amount of knowledge regarding the other individuals residing in the house. Natalie has demonstrated her resilience and refusal to be taken advantage of, despite her amiable demeanor. Subverted Trope has recently exhibited a persona that deviates from the expected norm, portraying herself as a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing rather than a genuinely kind-hearted individual. Indeed, her demeanor is characterized by a tendency to be spiteful and malicious. Additionally, she exhibits a strong sense of entitlement and displays self-absorbed behavior. Natalie has demonstrated a high level of manipulative and cunning behavior, as evidenced by her willingness to sacrifice her allies, including James, in order to advance her own position within the game. It is rather unexpected that Natalie, who initially appeared to be the most amiable houseguest of the season, has revealed her true personality, which is rather unpleasant.
  • Big Bad: With Paulie no longer present in the household and her recent display of unexpected shrewdness and perceptiveness, she has assumed this role. Even though Nicole and Michelle are commonly perceived as individuals who engage in deceitful behavior and engage in derogatory conversations, they are still considered to be less morally reprehensible compared to Natalie's current actions. James and Michelle can be regarded as The Dragon for her, as she assumes the role of the leader within the trio and manipulates both James and Michelle. Despite Natalie's overt disdain for Paulie and her consistent disparagement of his character, she appears to be oblivious to the fact that she has essentially transformed into a female counterpart of him. Natalie has exhibited increasingly negative behavior characterized by being overly critical, spiteful, confrontational, and manipulative in recent weeks. This behavior has unveiled her true nature as an individual who lacks trustworthiness and engages in backstabbing. Natalie can be considered as deserving the title of a villainess even more due to her betrayal of the sympathetic underdogs, Victor and Paul. The act of betraying Victor and Paul marked the initiation of her transformation into a morally ambiguous character, as she revealed herself to possess traits commonly associated with an Alpha Bitch, Manipulative Bitch, and Bitch in Sheep's Clothing.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Recently, there has been a demonstration of this phenomenon. Natalie presents herself as a kind and thoughtful individual, yet she occasionally exhibits behavior that can be unpleasant, malicious, and vindictive. It has been discovered that Natalie actively participates in extensive derogatory discussions about fellow houseguests. The only difference lies in her skill to express her derogatory comments in a way that seems less offensive and spiteful.
  • Black Widow: Natalie would flirt with all of the men in the house, including Victor, Paulie, Paul, Corey, and James, and then proceed to plot their downfall behind their backs. She was involved in a showmance with Victor initially, but later she had no qualms about betraying him and ensuring that he was backdoored and evicted. She constantly spoke ill of Victor behind his back without his knowledge. Natalie flirted with Corey and even openly admitted that she had a crush on him. Yet, she has mentioned wanting to remove him from the house due to his strong competition as a male. She made passes at Paulie behind James' back and flirted with him, suggesting that they would be a good match because they are both from New Jersey. She shamelessly used her sexuality to flirt with Paulie, despite claiming to be disgusted by him. However, if she knew that it would benefit her game, she would manipulate Paulie to advance further. She would also flirt with Paul, but they would call out Natalie for her actions and try to stop her. This caused Natalie to retaliate by ensuring that Paul ended up being nominated and becoming the target for eviction. Natalie influenced Michelle, who was the co-HOH, to nominate Paul for eviction, while she sought revenge by nominating Victor. Finally, she blatantly exploited James throughout the game, solely relying on his popularity within the Big Brother community. She had betrayed him to others, and eventually James found out. James confronted her about her behavior and for betraying him. James exposes Natalie during their final week together in the house by claiming that Natalie didn't genuinely like him and that she was just using him the entire time. Natalie may appear sweet and innocent, but she actually flirts with all the men and then secretly plans their downfall.
  • Brainless Beauty: Averted. Natalie is an attractive young woman who may give the impression of being a bit airheaded or lacking in intelligence. Natalie appears to employ her sexuality and physical attractiveness as a strategic tool in the game. She is currently engaged in a showmance with James and previously had one with Victor at the start of the season. However, this could be perceived as a strategy or a façade. It turns out that Natalie is actually much more aware of what is happening in the game. She seems to be on point regarding the intentions of the houseguests. It is evident that Natalie is an intelligent woman with excellent instincts. However, her overly optimistic, upbeat, and bubbly personality often overshadows these qualities. Natalie also fits the trope, as she is James' showmance partner. She could actually be classified as someone who is obfuscating stupidity, which refers to someone who is much smarter than they appear or act.
  • The Charmer: Natalie flirts with every male in the house. She flirts with the guys if it means that it will get her further in the house. She uses flirting and her sexuality as a strategy in the game. Natalie has flirted with James, Victor, Paul, Corey, and Paulie. She managed to flirt with other guys while she was in a showmance with James for the majority of the game. James confronted Natalie directly about her excessive flirtation with other men without his knowledge.
  • Chubby Chaser: Some of her friends have referred to her as "this" because of her preference for dating husky men. She has also stated that she is not into men who are model types or overly good-looking. Therefore, it is completely understandable why Natalie is attracted to James and why she has previously stated that Victor was not her type, despite having an early showmance with him at the start.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Natalie has slight shades of this in regards to James, but she is definitely no where near as bad as Nicole (who shows jealousy towards Natalie giving attention to Corey), Zakiyah (who shows jealousy towards any female houseguest who gives attention to Paulie) and Michelle (who has hated Bridgette since the beginning and has been jealous of Bridgette over having Frank's attention).
  • Competition Freak: She acknowledges in a DR entry during the second HOH competition, "Berry Balanced", that she's been competitive her whole life. That being said, she is an inversion of one aspect of this trope, as Natalie was visibly crushed when she became the first one eliminated from the competition after falling off the balance beam while trying to transfer her first berry to one of the columns.
  • Conflicting Loyalty: Natalie wants to remain loyal to both James and her Spy Girls alliance. But she found herself faced with the decision to either lie to the Spy Girls or betray James' trust after Natalie is informed by James that Frank won the Week 3 Roadkill Competition and nominated Bronte as the third eviction nominee. She ultimately keeps his secret when Bridgette expresses her hope that Natalie is chosen to compete and wins the POV competition. Natalie acknowledges that this could jeopardize her game and break up the alliance if she ends up replacing Bronte as the third nominee.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Natalie comes off as a ditzy person who doesn't appear to be particularly deep or intelligent, but she is actually much smarter than she seems. She is a potentially strong physical competitor and puts up a fight when she wants to, such as when she was determined to win the Week 7 HOH Endurance competition and was the last female houseguest standing. She also has an accurate understanding of the game and the intentions of the other houseguests. Natalie could prove to be one of the biggest threats in the house. However, everyone seems to be overlooking her because they perceive Natalie as a useless and weak player. Case in point, Natalie should not be overlooked, as she has the potential to become a significant threat in the future.
  • The Cutie -> The Fake Cutie: Though one wouldn't expect her to fit this trope just by looking at her, Natalie is rather adorable, with some child-like qualities. Subverted Trope as of lately since it has been revealed that Natalie may not be as nice and sweet as she tries to come off.
  • Distaff Counterpart: To Paulie. They have some things in common, even though both of them may not want to admit it because they disliked each other so much. Both Paulie and Natalie are from New Jersey. Paulie is the Jerk Jock while Natalie is an Alpha Bitch. Both of them are also notorious trash talkers. It appears that Paulie directs his trash talking towards the female houseguests, while Natalie targets the male houseguests. Both individuals are highly flirtatious and open to flirting with members of the opposite gender. Both are involved in a showmance with a fellow houseguest (Paulie with Zakiyah and Natalie with James). Paulie is a Manipulative Bastard while Natalie has shades of being a Manipulative Bitch. Both of them are a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing, because they initially appeared nice but later revealed their true colors. She has shown her true colors and proven that she is not as sweet as she appears. She is very similar to Paulie in this regard because, at the start of the game, Paulie was popular both inside and outside of the house. He was considered the Big Man on Campus. Everyone thought that Paulie was actually much nicer than his younger brother, Cody. However, as the weeks passed and Paulie's time in the house was coming to an end, his true colors began to show. Both Paulie and Natalie have strong self-absorbed and narcissistic tendencies, and they seem to constantly brag about how good of people they are. It is apparent that Paulie and Natalie think a lot of themselves, although they have both tried to pass themselves off as humble. Although Paulie and Natalie hated each other and fought a lot, they have more in common than they both want to admit.
  • The Ditz: It sometimes comes off this way on the show. First, when her team allies with James, Victor, and Bronte, they discuss potential names. Victor suggests "calvary" as a name, but he has to explain its meaning to her. Additionally, she suggests "Team Baywatch" as a name. Editing has made her seem unintelligent, when in reality, she has a good understanding of the other houseguests. During a Diary Room entry in Week 3 of the "BB Test Kitchen" POV competition, she admits that memorization is not her strongest skill. At first, she accidentally refers to it as her "best feature."
  • Entitled Bitch: It sometimes appears as if the person has a sense of entitlement and can be bratty. Natalie has said that when Paulie called her a spoiled "Venezuelan Princess," she felt very hurt and angered by it. She insists that she is not a spoiled person who had everything handed to her. She claims to have grown up poor in Venezuela, a third world country, and had to work hard to earn everything she currently has, including her breast augmentation surgery. Despite her claims, her attitude and personality suggest otherwise. She seems to be very bratty at times, and she easily becomes angered, irritated, or upset if things don't go her way.
  • Everybody Hates Math: She acknowledges this in a DR entry during the second Roadkill competition, which involves averaging the cumulative cost of ten different items... though she also notes that the only things she hates even more than math are capers and hot dogs. She even mentions in her Week 5 pre-eviction speech (while nominated against Frank and Paul, which she survives) that everyone knows she can't do math.
  • Face–Heel Turn: It's not that Natalie has become "evil" or bad, but she has become much more unlikeable as of late. Natalie seemed to have let the power get to her head, revealing some unlikeable personality traits and qualities. She seemed to have become more power-hungry and she abused the power she had. She turned on her allies, Paul and Victor, two people with whom she had made a deal to go to the Final 5. Natalie demonstrates manipulative behavior, specifically towards the male houseguests, earning her the reputation of being a Manipulative Bitch. She employs her sexuality and flirtation as a strategy with the men, only to later use it against them when she wants them to become targets. She employed this tactic with Paulie, Victor, and Paul. She has also escalated her trash talking of people and has resorted to launching personal attacks against others. Natalie has actually proven that she is not the nice girl she constantly claims to be. Her constant preaching about being a good and kind person is nothing but an attempt to reassure herself (and America) and boost her own ego.
  • Fallen Princess: Natalie went from being a player who prioritized safety in the game to becoming a more prominent target. Natalie's popularity outside of the house also plummeted when she chose to target Paul and Victor, the two underdogs of the game. Natalie also revealed that, in addition to this, she is actually quite unlikeable and has let the power get to her head. She revealed that she is actually very catty and mean-spirited, and that she is just as big of a trash talker as Michelle is. She also revealed her true character, showing that she is actually an entitled individual with strong alpha tendencies. To make matters worse, it turns out that Natalie's (and Michelle's) HOH reign was a big waste, since the person who was evicted under her HOH (Victor) managed to come back into the game after winning the Jury Buy Back competition. Not only did Natalie (and James) make herself a huge target, but her popularity has also dwindled dramatically outside of the game.
  • The Fashionista: Natalie is a Girly Girl who is into fashionable clothing. She is very trendy in terms of her fashion sense. Natalie also seems like the type of girl who would love to shop. Let's not forget that she love makeup and dressing up.
  • Femme Fatale: Natalie seems to use her looks and her sexuality to get farther in the game. She used her looks to try to woo Victor and then James.
  • Fun Size: Natalie is arguably the shortest female houseguest of the season. (Natalie has stated that she is 4'11".) Funny enough, due to her short stature, she admits to being a slow driver for safety reasons. This was revealed in a DR entry shown during the Week 3 Roadkill Competition, where participants had to match a sequence of eight horns. She also acknowledges that her slow driving sometimes leads to other drivers honking their horns at her to speed up, which annoys her.
  • Genki Girl: Natalie is very positive, cheery, upbeat and optimistic. She seems to be quite upbeat and high energy, which is fitting for a former professional NFL cheerleader.
  • Girly Girl: Probably the most feminine among the female houseguests in Season 18, with Bronte being somewhat close. In terms of physical appearance and attitude, Nicole and Bridgette are more like the standard Girl Next Door, while Michelle is more of a nerdy everygirl. On the other hand, Da'Vonne, Tiffany, and Zakiyah are all somewhat tomboyish and slightly more aggressive than Natalie.
  • Glurge Addict: Natalie seems to like very sweet and cute things. For example, she seems to love glitter. This makes a lot of sense and fits with her personality, considering that she is the ultimate Girly Girl of the season. Plus, she also has strong childlike qualities or tendencies about her.
  • The Heart: Natalie is one of the nicest and kindest houseguests of the season. She is very compassionate and has gone out of her way to make all of the houseguests feel good about themselves. Natalie was very kind to Tiffany when she was having an emotional breakdown, providing her with much comfort. She also loves to boost the self-esteem of other houseguests, especially when they are doubting themselves.
  • Honey Trap: She used her sexuality to seduce and entice James into a showmance with her. She did this because she wanted a chance to be loved and popular in America. She believed that by getting close to James, who was America's favorite in the previous season, she could achieve this. Because of her agenda, many felt that Natalie's relationship with James was far from genuine or real. They complained that Natalie was manipulating him and using him.
  • The Idealist: Natalie has a very idealistic and optimistic view of things. She genuinely tries to see the positive or the good in everything, no matter how bad the circumstances may be. She also displays an idealistic attitude regarding some of the other houseguests. Natalie has consistently given inspirational or pep talks to help lift up the self-esteem and improve the spirits of Tiffany, Bridgette, Bronte, Zakiyah, and Michelle.
  • Lovable Alpha Bitch: Natalie is generally nice, but she can be very catty and mean-spirited at times. She seems to enjoy trash talking other houseguests, and at times, she comes across as a major gossip. She also seems to gossip about other people's physical appearance. She also demonstrates her willingness to employ emotional manipulation and play the victim card in order to achieve her desired outcome. She veers into Bitch in Sheep's Clothing territory, someone who can appear friendly and polite as a front, but can be very mean-spirited and hateful behind the scenes. Averted Trope as of late, as she now resembles more of the Alpha Bitch trope due to the revelation of some unpleasant personality traits such as cattiness and arrogance.
  • Manipulative Editing: Her argument with James over his Final 2 deal with Nicole made Natalie look she was harassing him when major details of the argument were left out of the show such as Natalie making up with James which Natalie acknowledged during her eviction interview with Julie Chen.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Natalie is frequently seen wearing tight and sometimes revealing clothing that accentuates her curves. In fact, she is the lone houseguest shown wearing a bikini in this season's edition of the title sequence.
  • Nice Girl: Genuinely nice and affable, she gets along well with almost everyone and has never displayed any real animosity towards anyone. Incidentally, she credited her job coordinating events for hospitalized children with debilitating or life-threatening illnesses as having a humbling effect on her. This could be seen as a subverted trope as of late, depending on one's opinion of her, because she has recently been displaying some unpleasant qualities and traits, such as cattiness and pettiness, since she gained some power as (HOH).
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Comes off as a ditzy and naive girl who has no clue about the game or as someone who is a weak player overall, but she actually has a surprisingly accurate read on the game and the motives or intentions of the rest of the houseguests. It is evident that Natalie is a highly intelligent young woman, although she disguises it with a facade of being a dumb girl. Natalie's "ditzy girl" persona could be nothing more than a strategy to deceive the other houseguests and prevent them from seeing her as a threat.
  • Ship Tease: Has a lot of this with James, even saying he is the kind of guy she would probably like to date outside of the house. Although they are perceived as a showmance this season, there are some people who question their relationship and whether or not it is genuine.
  • Smarter Than You Look: Natalie has a fairly good read of what's going on in the house. She's an intelligent woman, but by the way she's edited on the show, you'd never know.
  • Straw Feminist: Downplayed. Natalie doesn't hate men, but she does make misandrist comments or anti-male remarks from time to time. She's also a strong advocate for female empowerment and she has no qualms about using men to advance herself and her goals, only to discard them as if they are insignificant (similar to how she treated James). She voted for Nicole over Paul to win Big Brother solely based on gender, as she wanted a female contestant to emerge as the winner.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Natalie has definitely become more unlikeable lately. She has become more arrogant. Since gaining power in Week 8 (by winning HOH), she has resorted to betraying her allies, such as Victor and Paul. She has also increased her amount of trash talking, and it seems that she is playing in a very petty and personal manner. Turns out that it was nothing more than a facade, and she is actually more of a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing who exhibits strong Alpha Bitch personality traits. It doesn't help that she falsely accuses male houseguests of sexual harassment.
  • Unkempt Beauty: Though Natalie usually dresses up in flirty outfits and wears a reasonable amount of makeup, some segments (including a few of her Diary Room entries) in which she's seen wearing minimal makeup, a simple ponytail and regular clothes do back this trope up.
  • The Vamp: Natalie could be classified as a Femme Fatale who uses her sexuality to her advantage and strategically employs it as a tactic. Natalie will resort to using her charm and feminine allure to flirt with the male houseguests, and then strategically leverage it against them later on. For example, Natalie openly flirted with Paulie and encouraged their flirtatious interactions. However, later on, when she wanted Paulie to leave the house because he had become a target for everyone, she claimed that Paulie's flirting made her uncomfortable, even though she was the one who initially initiated the flirting between them. Paulie confronted Natalie about her accusations of sexual harassment. He told her that she was the one who had flirted with him in the first place. However, Natalie continued to play the victim card and insisted that it was his fault because he had been flirting with her. Natalie continued her deceitful behavior, even while Paul was nominated for eviction. She claimed that Paul sexually harassed her or made her uncomfortable because he allegedly playfully grabbed her thigh during their playful fight. Previously, when that happened, Natalie stated that Paul's touching did not make her uncomfortable in any way. She even mentioned that she enjoyed it because she viewed their relationship as that of siblings. But now that she wants him out of the house, she has decided to play the victim card once more (like she did with Paulie) and claim that Paul makes her feel "uncomfortable". It is evident that Natalie is resorting to unethical tactics by falsely accusing male houseguests of sexual harassment. This is particularly concerning because Natalie is often the one who initiates the flirting or actively engages in playful interactions with the male houseguests.
  • Weight Woe: Natalie constantly makes comments about her weight. She complains that since she has been in the house, she has packed on the pounds. It is clear that Natalie feels insecure about her looks, even though she tries to pass herself off as someone who is comfortable with her appearance and has a lot of selfconfidence.
  • You Go, Girl!: In Natalie's exit message for Victor, she told him that she thinks he should treat people – especially women – better, after having expressed displeasure the previous week with Victor's constant nitpicking (some of which was directed at her).

Evicted: 3-2 VS. PAUL
HOH/POV Evicted Under: NICOLE (HOH/POV)
Voted For (As Jury Member): PAUL

  • Affably Evil: She is somewhere between being genuine and Faux Affably Evil. Michelle likes to pretend that she is friendly to people's faces, but in reality, she is really catty and engages in trash talking. Sometimes she can genuinely be nice to people, but there are other times when it's not so genuine. For example, she appeared to be civil with Bridgette in person (despite their well-known rivalry), but behind Bridgette's back, Michelle would betray her and repeatedly criticize her out of pettiness and jealousy. She has also appeared nice and friendly to Tiffany, Paul, Frank, Nicole, and Corey's faces, but she has either trash-talked or bullied them behind their backs. Michelle is certainly not the kindest girl, but she excels at pretending to be nice when interacting with others.
  • Alliterative Name: Both her first and last name start with "M".
  • All Women Love Shoes: Most shoes in her case. Michelle has a bone to pick with high heels because of this incident where she tripped in heels and got a nasty gash on her leg (WARNING: mildly graphic). She prefers wedges, booties, and sport sneakers. Especially wedges.
  • Alpha Bitch: Michelle is one of the most catty girls of the season. She appears to have a very petty personality and seems to take pleasure in trash-talking other houseguests. She is also a big-time drama queen and seems to behave in a certain way to gain sympathy from other people. To add, her treatment of Bridgette throughout the game has been less than pleasant. Not to mention, this is the same girl who has fat-shamed people in the real world, also revealing her pettiness. Michelle seems to exhibit more of a Type 2 personality. She can put on a friendly facade and pretend to be nice, but she will resort to trash talking behind people's backs.
  • Arch-Enemy:
    • Bridgette. Michelle is a huge fan of Frank, and she was also a part of the Category 4 team along with Frank and Bridgette. Most of Michelle's animosity towards Bridgette stems from the fact that Frank preferred Bridgette over her. Bridgette was seen as a potentially strong ally by Frank. However, Frank saw Michelle as a weak player who would not benefit his game in the long run. Michelle took Frank's rejection of her and his favoritism towards Bridgette personally, and as a result, she has been directing her anger and frustrations towards Bridgette. Michelle's dislike for Bridgette is nothing short of personal and petty.
    • Paulie. Oh so much Paulie. After being nominated by him and realizing that he is a bigger Jerkass than he lets on, she made it her mission to destroy his game and reputation. Michelle apparently turned on Paulie because she felt betrayed by him regarding the vote to evict Da'Vonne. She also became very personal and constantly attempted to attack him and degrade his character. Michelle may have been justified in wanting Paulie out of the house, but she definitely showed that she was no better than him by resorting to the methods she did to get him out.
    • Paul. The two clearly strongly dislike each other, even though they were allies for a while. Michelle has repeatedly made personal attacks against Paul and has defamed his character, both behind his back and to his face. Paul called Michelle The Bully and privately expressed his belief that she is one of the worst individuals he has ever encountered. Michelle has stated that she believes Paul is rude and disrespectful. It got worse when Michelle decided to nominate Paul and blindside him in Week 9. She also resorted to calling him a liar and manipulator without providing any examples of his deceitful and manipulative behavior. It leads to a bigger argument, causing the two to become even greater enemies and rivals than they were before. Michelle also labels Paul as an atheist and criticizes his religious beliefs, which is a personal and unnecessary attack within the context of the game of Big Brother. This attack is based on Paul's personal belief regarding the existence of heaven and hell. It is evident that the two have a strong mutual dislike for each other, and Paul is determined to remove Michelle from the house. Michelle has been targeting Paul, and in return, Paul has made Michelle his primary focus, primarily due to personal reasons. Also, it seems that Paul's animosity towards Michelle extends beyond the game. He has expressed, both on camera and privately, that he does not wish to be associated with Michelle once the game concludes.
  • Ascended Fangirl: Michelle claims to be a super fan of Big Brother. She seems to know a lot about the game and is able to recite past Big Brother players and stats with ease. She is even a fan of Big Brother Canada. She also frequents the Big Brother subreddit. She even has Andy Herren's same cat shirt (15) and a baby Orwell the Owl (19).
  • Bait the Dog: Zig-Zagged. Similar to Paulie, Michelle was initially quite popular among the newcomers. However, her popularity took a hit when she openly expressed her dislike for husky men, which made people suspicious if they hadn't seen her posts on Reddit. Given that America has a higher obesity rate than the rest of the world, this didn't sit well with most people. As the season went on, she became less popular, especially due to the derogatory comments she made towards other houseguests. Nicole, on the other hand, tends to make bitchy comments that are mostly meant as jokes and usually do not focus on people's appearances. But then, she vomited during one of the challenges and began criticizing the production team. That, and Paul called her the c-word, and people started to notice that Michelle is also someone to be pitied.
  • Bespectacled Cutie: Michelle sometimes wears thick-rimmed glasses, similar to those worn by fellow houseguest Nicole. This look makes her come off as extra cute and she definitely has the nerdy Girl Next Door look down pat.
  • Big Eater: Michelle seems to have taken over Victor's position as the biggest eater in the house. Every time she appears on the live feeds, she is always seen indulging in a variety of snacks, especially chips. It is interesting that Michelle seems to eat so much, considering that she has resorted to fat-shaming obese people and mocking them for their eating habits. This fact makes her a huge hypocrite.
  • Birds of a Feather: With Nicole. They are both Girl Next Door types, both are from Michigan state, both wear glasses and both are Nice Girl's with a bitchy or catty side to them. They are so similar in a lot of ways that it is actually surprising that Nicole and Michelle didn't instantly bond with each other right from the start.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Seems to be a nice girl, until you find out she despises fat people and refuses to date obese men on account of being a nutritionist. She is also visibly catty inside the house and has made some very personal and nasty remarks about other houseguests, such as Tiffany, Bridgette, Paulie, Victor and Nicole.
  • Brutal Honesty: Michelle is very blunt and honest, and she is not afraid to say exactly what is on her mind. Sometimes, her comments can be very hateful and hurtful. She is also one of the biggest trash talkers in the house, and she doesn't seem to have much regard for the impact her comments will have on others. In a way, Michelle sometimes speaks without thinking. Going by her comments regarding overweight or obese individuals, she has proven to be very mean-spirited and judgmental towards others.
  • The Bully: Michelle is a mean-spirited girl who has made very hurtful comments about some of the other houseguests. She occasionally resorts to personally attacking people. She treated Bridgette horribly throughout the majority of the game, and she did not feel remorseful about it at all. All because she felt jealous that Frank preferred Bridgette over her. She has also engaged in taunting behavior towards Paul and has been unnecessarily rude to him. For instance, she yelled at him and threatened to burn all of his clothes because he accidentally touched her clothes while searching for one of his t-shirts. Paul confronted her about her bullying behavior and even directly called her a bully and a terrible person during a heated argument in Week 9.
  • Can't Take Criticism: Michelle seems to think that it is acceptable to constantly judge people and make comments about others. However, when someone confronts her about her inappropriate behavior, she retreats into a corner and either complains or cries about it. She thinks that she can constantly dish out hurtful comments towards other people and not expect to receive them in return. Michelle also enjoys instigating conflicts and disputes with others. However, when someone confronts her and engages in an argument, she often ends up in tears and attempts to escape from the very situation she initiated. Michelle often appears as a significant hypocrite and, at times, a coward.
  • Chaotic Stupid: Michelle seems prone to just do whatever Michelle wants to do and mouth off to everybody. Yeah, that's not a very smart strategy...
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Towards Frank. She strongly disliked Bridgette because Frank and Bridgette became very close in the house. It is evident that Michelle is a very catty and jealous person. Her hatred of Brigette was completely petty and unnecessary. Overall, Michelle appears to be a very jealous and envious individual. She has also displayed jealous and envious behavior towards the other female houseguests.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Similar to Nicole, Michelle can come off as eccentric, unconventional, and peculiar at times. She sometimes displays strange behavior or engages in antics that are highly questionable. Sometimes she will cry in an overdramatic manner to the point where it appears as if she is putting on an act or feigning to seek attention. Some of the other houseguests have mentioned that Michelle tends to overdramatize at times in order to gain sympathy. Other times, it appears that Michelle has her head in the clouds and she speaks as if she is zoned out or not fully aware of what is happening.
  • Conflicting Loyalty: As of Week 9, Michelle appears to be conflicted about which alliance to align with or whom to trust more in the game: either James & Natalie or Paul & Victor. Although Michelle technically has more allegiance to Paul and Victor than she does to James and Natalie, she decided to go against her allies (Paul and Victor) and align herself with James and Natalie's wishes, which were to have Paul and Victor nominated. Although it is uncertain where Michelle's true loyalties lie, she has made it clear that she has always wanted Nicole and Corey out. She perceives them as manipulative, especially Nicole, and views them as a formidable duo in the game.
  • Cowardly Lion: In her intro package, Michelle rattles off a very long list of fears, among them being abducted/kidnapped, aliens, ghosts, Amazonian fish and North Korea (which considering the first competition involves the houseguests having to ride on rockets resembling the nuclear weapons that said country has, by her own admission, skeeved her out a bit)... and apparently, it doesn't stop there, since she also notes that she's afraid of beards (when referencing Paul's in her first DR entry), because of issues with cleanliness.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Michelle comes across as an ineffective player who constantly complains and cries when she doesn't get her way. However, Michelle should not be underestimated; she is a lot smarter than she seems. She is not afraid to confront people openly, and she appears to have a lot of courage. She may not excel at winning competitions, but she is actually quite adept socially and strategically. It is highly possible that Michelle could be a strong contender and make it to at least the Final 3.
  • The Cynic: Michelle has a very melancholic and defeatist attitude. She always seems to be pessimistic about things in general, and she does not seem to have much confidence in herself. When she doesn't perform at her best or win something, she tends to be hard on herself. Other houseguests, specifically Natalie and Paul, have had to give Michelle a pep talk whenever she falls into one of her defeatist, gloomy, and pessimistic moods. Opposite of Nicole, who embodies The Pollyanna and a Plucky Girl, always striving to see the best in things and maintaining an optimistic outlook (although Nicole does occasionally indulge in some whining).
  • Deadpan Snarker: Michelle is really sarcastic and quick witted. Sometimes she comes off as serious when she is delivering a joke or a witty comment.
  • Dirty Coward: Constantly talking trash about people and throwing them under the bus behind their backs, she then tries to appear friendly and loyal to them. For example, Michelle has promised to remain loyal to Victor and Paul and has expressed her intentions of advancing further in the game with them. But then she decided to betray them, lying and backstabbing them, when she received some power bestowed upon her by America (the Co-HOH). Instead of openly informing them that she was going along with Natalie and James's plans and nominating them, she chose to blindside them. She resorted to personally attacking Paul, specifically by labeling him as a liar and a manipulator. On top of it, she personally attacked his religion by calling him an atheist because of Paul's personal beliefs regarding not believing in heaven and hell (which is more accurately called [Apatheism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apatheism]). Paul fired back by calling her a "c*nt." Although Michelle does not seem to have any particular strengths in this game, she consistently played a dirty, trash-talking, and scumbag game.
  • Dogged Nice Girl: Towards Frank. Michelle wanted to be Frank's number one, but Frank preferred Bridgette and had a closer relationship with her than with Michelle. This deeply bothered Michelle, and she has harbored ill feelings towards Bridgette ever since. Although Michelle was desperate to prove herself to Frank and be seen as a strong potential ally in the game, Frank only perceived her as a weak and useless player. It is obvious that Michelle never got over Frank's preference for Bridgette over her.
  • The Dragon: For Natalie. She shares this role with James. After Bronte and Bridgette were evicted, Michelle became Natalie's closest ally in the game, and the two even discussed the possibility of going to the Final 2 together. Natalie is essentially the dominant one in the relationship, while Michelle takes on a more submissive role. The two often resorted to trash-talking other houseguests, and they both played very personally. In Week 9, Natalie was the one who influenced Michelle, who won co-HOH that week after receiving America's Care Package, to turn against her allies Paul and Victor. Natalie persuaded Michelle to align with her and James against Victor and Paul, and instructed Michelle to nominate Paul. By doing so, Michelle betrayed and deceived her two closest allies, revealing her true nature. Since then, Michelle grew to hate Victor and Paul. However, her disdain towards the two of them was mostly influenced by Natalie's negative opinions about them. Natalie essentially turned Michelle against Victor and Paul, despite the fact that they had not done anything to Michelle (or Natalie and James) personally or in the game. It is safe to say that Natalie played a huge part in Michelle's game downfall. However, despite this, Michelle remained fiercely loyal to Natalie (and James by extension) and did everything that Natalie wanted.
    • Beta Bitch: Michelle is this to Natalie's Alpha Bitch. It is clear that in the recent weeks, Natalie and Michelle have grown closer to each other. When Michelle received some power through America's Care Package and became the co-HOH (Head of Household), she decided to side with Natalie's plans and throw her allies Victor and Paul to the wolves, betraying them in the process. On top of this, she, along with Natalie, decided to personally attack Paul, which further escalated animosity between the two. Natalie and Michelle have also become the primary instigators of negative comments in the house, consistently targeting Paul in particular. Both of them are the remaining mean girls in the house, and all they seem to do is derive pleasure from constantly gossiping about people behind their backs. It is evident that Michelle and Natalie lack strengths in the game, whether it be in terms of competition, social skills, or strategy. As a result, their only approach seems to be engaging in constant trash-talking, eating, and sleeping. To reference Mean Girls, Michelle plays the role of Cady Heron while Natalie portrays Regina George.
    • Co-Dragons: With James for Natalie, who has transformed into the Big Bad or villainess since Paulie's departure. It is evident that both James and Michelle are willing to do anything that Natalie wants, even if it contradicts their own desires or what is best for their individual gameplay. Originally, Michelle was loyal to Victor, Paul, Zakiyah, and Da'Vonne and they were her main allies since the beginning. But as of late, her number one ally in the game is Natalie. After Zakiyah and Da'Vonne were evicted, Michelle aligned herself with Victor and Paul, making them her main allies. However, in Week 9, Natalie won HOH and Michelle won the co-HOH through winning America's Care Package. Michelle wanted to nominate Nicole and Corey for eviction, as it was her initial plan and what she had always intended to do. However, Natalie had a different strategy in mind. She wanted to target Victor and Paul, who were allies of Natalie, James, and Michelle. The three of them had formed an alliance and had planned to stick together until the Final 5. Natalie chose to nominate Victor and she wanted Michelle, as the co-HOH, to nominate Victor's number one ally, Paul. Michelle and Natalie nominated both of them and betrayed them in the process. This caused a significant rift in their alliance, and Michelle, Natalie, James, Paul, and Victor no longer trusted one another. James and Michelle essentially disregarded their own desires and priorities to fulfill Natalie's requests. It is evident that James and Michelle have a strong Undying Loyalty to Natalie and that they wanted to go to the final 3 together.
    • Demoted to Dragon: Michelle was never really seen as an outright villain. However, she can be considered a complex character, teetering between being a dark Anti-Hero and an Anti-Villain. This is primarily due to her penchant for starting drama, her aggressive personality, and her tendency to be petty and personal in her approach to the game. Additionally, she often engages in arguments and confrontations with the other houseguests, which can give the impression that she is a bully. Therefore, Michelle exhibited all the personality traits of an obvious villain. However, it is later revealed that in the grand scheme of things, Natalie becomes the Big Bad as of Week 9, especially after Paulie's eviction from the house. Michelle became The Dragon for Natalie, along with James. Natalie revealed herself to be a true Alpha Bitch and a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing in the later weeks. Natalie is someone who constantly tried to portray herself as a sweet, lovable, and kind person, but in reality, she was very catty, bitchy, manipulative, entitled, and cunning. She would frequently engage in trash talking and personal attacks against houseguests behind their backs. Although Michelle appeared to be a villainess due to her unlikeable personality, it is actually Natalie who is the true villainess. She is the one calling all the shots in the trio consisting of herself, Michelle, and James. In other words, Michelle was thought to be an Alpha Bitch but she is actually Natalie's Beta Bitch while Natalie is the real Alpha Bitch in sheep's clothing. Natalie also had a lot of influence on Michelle's game later on. For example, Natalie is the one who influenced Michelle to nominate Paul and backstab him, along with Victor. This caused disdain and distrust between Michelle, Victor, and Paul. Michelle was essentially being manipulated by Natalie, and Michelle was too naive and loyal to see it.
    • Dragon with an Agenda: While Michelle became close with Natalie in Week 9 and the two formed a strong bond, Michelle had different game plans than Natalie. In Week 9, Natalie was the HOH and Michelle was the co-HOH. Natalie had wanted to turn against Victor and Paul and nominate both of them for eviction. However, Michelle initially disagreed with Natalie's plan to betray their allies, Victor and Paul. In fact, Michelle had wanted to nominate Corey and Nicole for eviction because she felt threatened by them, especially Nicole, who was part of a strong power couple in the game. However, Natalie manipulated Michelle into turning against Vic and Paul, and Michelle went through with nominating Paul. Not only did she backstab Paul and Victor on a strategic level, but she also stooped to Natalie's level by personally attacking them, particularly Paul. Although Michelle and Natalie were close to each other, it is obvious that the two did not always see eye to eye on a game level. Even after Michelle betrayed Paul and Victor, she eventually realized that Nicole and Corey posed a greater threat. She acknowledged that betraying Victor and Paul was a mistake and that they should have eliminated Corey and Nicole when they had the chance.
    • Villainous Friendship: Despite establishing a strong connection within the game, Michelle and Natalie also developed a deep personal relationship. After the eviction of Bronte and Bridgette, who could also be considered as secondary allies to Natalie, she formed a close bond with the remaining female houseguest, Natalie. It is worth noting that Natalie did not establish strong connections with Da'Vonne, Zakiyah, and Nicole. Despite Natalie embodying a Girly Girl and glamorous persona, while Michelle exuded a more down-to-earth and approachable demeanor, the two individuals discovered commonalities and developed a genuine bond of friendship. Both individuals exhibit characteristics commonly associated with the role of mean girls within the social context of the season. Additionally, they appear to derive pleasure from engaging in gossip and derogatory discussions about others in their absence. Natalie and Michelle shared a strong bond, to the extent that they expressed a desire to form an alliance and reach the Final 2 together. Natalie even considered the possibility of selecting Michelle as her Final 2 companion instead of James, her showmance partner. Michelle demonstrated a disloyal and treacherous behavior towards her allies, Victor and Paul. Despite their unwavering loyalty towards her and their potential to bring her to the Final 3, Michelle chose to prioritize Natalie, indicating that her level of loyalty and friendship towards Victor and Paul was comparable to that of True Companions. Despite occasional differences in their game strategies (Natalie opposing Victor/Paul and Michelle opposing Corey/Nicole), Michelle and Natalie have undeniably developed a sincere bond and friendship that transcends the confines of the game.
  • Drama Queen: Michelle comes off as a bit of an Attention Whore. She will sometimes resort to crying or throwing a tantrum when she doesn't get her way. She may even cry for strategic reasons or because she wants to garner sympathy from the other houseguests. Michelle seems to thrive on drama and she loves to play the victim card.
  • Driven by Envy: Michelle's antagonistic attitude towards Bridgette stems from her jealousy regarding Bridgette's close relationship and bond with Frank. Michelle wanted to be Frank's number one ally, but Frank favored Bridgette and saw Michelle as a incompetent or a liability.
  • Entitled Bitch: Michelle can be really catty and bitchy when she doesn't get her way. She also seems to feel that she deserves to be there more than the rehouse guests, yet she hasn't really done all that much in the game. She displays this attitude when she decided to make angry speeches to other houseguests during the live eviction and Double Eviction in Week 7.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: On Instagram she has several pictures of her rocking blonde or blue hair to reflect her sassy personality. Oddly enough, she came onto the show with her natural brunette hair.
  • Faux Affably Evil: It's not that Michelle is necessarily a villain or evil per say, but she definitely falls into Anti-Hero or slight Anti-Villain territory. Michelle comes off as a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing, someone who can put on a friendly facade and be nice to other houseguests' faces, yet will resort to back stabbing them or trash talking them behind their back. Michelle definitely has a strong "mean girl" streak.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: She and Bridgette formed this bond before the latter was eliminated in the double eviction. Before this, Bridgette was Michelle's Arch-Enemy and the two did not see eye to eye or get along. Most of it was pretty petty though, because Michelle was joist jealous of Frank giving Bridgette more attention. Michelle eventually came around to see that Bridgette could be a valuable ally and a good person to have at her side in the game.
  • Foil: To Nicole. Despite their lack of alignment and absence of a bond in the game or on a personal level, the two individuals surprisingly shared more similarities than they initially realized. Both were characterized as Girl Next Door types, Clingy Jealous Girls, and Bespectacled Cutie girls who wore glasses. Additionally, they both identified as nerdy super fans and hailed from the state of Michigan. However, it is important to note that they also exhibited noticeable differences. Nicole has demonstrated her competitiveness as a player, having won competitions during her original season. In contrast, Michelle is regarded as one of the less formidable competitors. Nicole possesses blonde hair, whereas Michelle possesses dark hair. Michelle exhibits more pronounced characteristics of an Alpha Bitch personality, whereas Nicole displays traits that align with a more endearing version of a Lovable Alpha Bitch. Nicole exhibits a greater inclination towards positivity, optimism, and resilience, embodying the characteristics of a Plucky Girl. In contrast, Michelle tends to lean towards pessimism, melancholy, and a defeatist mindset. Nicole exhibits a greater inclination towards idealism, whereas Michelle tends to lean more towards cynicism. Nicole exhibits a Plucky Comic Relief style of humor, characterized by light-hearted and humorous remarks. In contrast, Michelle's humor leans towards a Deadpan Snarker style, characterized by sarcastic and dry wit. In summary, although both individuals wear glasses and exhibit catty behavior, Nicole's cattiness is comparatively milder and occurs less frequently than Michelle's. It is noteworthy that Michelle tends to engage in derogatory conversations about all housemates, irrespective of their gender or weight.
  • Foreshadowing: As Michelle was walking out the door on her eviction she warned her fellow houseguests to take out Paul and Nicole who is "f***ing her way to Final 2." Ironically, they became the Final 2.
  • Freudian Excuse: Her opinion of the obese. Michelle hates fat people because she has a lot of self-image problems about keeping herself skinny (or being perceived as ugly because she's so skinny) and gets angry at how she works hard to keep herself in shape while others don't.
  • Granola Girl: Is very much a health nut and is focused on healthy eating... which goes without saying, considering she's a registered dietitian. In fact, Michelle is such a health nut and such a huge advocate for healthy eating that she has even resorted to fat-shaming by making some controversial comments and remarks about obese people on Reddit (she received a minor backlash from the public for her comments earlier on in the season).
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Michelle definitely has a strong jealous and envious streak to her personality. It is part of what makes Michelle so catty and bitchy to some of the other houseguests, namely Bridgette. However, despite her jealous streak, she is nowhere near Zakiyah's jealousy over Paulie.
  • Handy Feet: One of the oddities about Michelle is that she's able to use spoons and open food packages with her feet and toes.
  • Hysterical Woman: Michelle came across as someone who has serious mental and emotional issues. He behavior while in the house was very erratic and over the top. Some believed that she was Attention Whore and a Drama Queen because she had a tendency to make a big deal out of every little thing. Plus, she was a huge Mood-Swinger. She would be very friendly to others one minute but would then become Hot-Blooded with a Hair-Trigger Temper the next minute. It is suspected she has Histrionic Personality Disorder.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: ALL THE FRICKIN' TIME. Best seen when she gets mad at Paul for putting hair conditioner in her drink and throws a green apple at him hard enough that it bruises him, then has a moment of remorse, causing her to have a mini-meltdown and cry herself silly both in the house and in the Diary Room thinking she's going to be seen as a violent person. She lampshades the fact that she looks like an ugly crier and Paul reaffirms it by calling her a "hideous crier" jokingly and she replies, "That's what they all say...!"
  • In-Series Nickname: Many of her fellow houseguests have called Michelle or have given Michelle the nickname "Big Meech" or "Meech". She also self-deprecates herself with the hashtag #VomitCrybaby.
  • In Vito Veritas: After the catered Outback dinner, where she got wasted on drinks. Much like Meg Maley, a tipsy Michelle is quite a sight. She started hugging and kissing James and Corey— but only hugged Paul, naturally.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Or more accurately, Bitch in Sheep's Clothing with a Heart of Gold. For all her cruelty and callous behavior, Michelle does realize when she crosses the line and will try to make amends and stop using the behavior in the future.
  • Last of His Kind: Michelle was the last member of the Category Four team. Frank was evicted in Week 5, Bridgette was evicted in Week 7, Paulie was evicted in Week 8 and her being evicted in Week 10.
  • Leg Focus: Once remarked on Snapchat and Instagram that she has "Stick legs for life".
  • The Load: Michelle has proven that she is rather horrible at competitions. She has either won them by having them thrown to her or having them handed to her by America (such as the CO-HOH that she received through America's Care Package). She's shown that overall, she is the most useless player in the game. She doesn't particularly have a strong social game and her strategy is not all that strong either. She is also seen to be rather trusting and gullible as seen in Week 9 when Victor and Paul planned or schemed to have a fake fight with each other and she and Natalie believed that Victor and Paul were no longer friends and allies. Michelle also believed that Victor was on her side and had turned against Paul. The only thing that Michelle seems to be good at is trash talking other houseguests behind their back.
  • Lovable Alpha Bitch: Michelle may be a Girl Next Door who is a Nice Girl in most instances, but she does have a very bratty, catty, bitchy and mean spirited side to her at times. Her treatment of Bridgette has been very disappointing and she comes off as a mean girl when it comes to her comments about Bridgette.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Totally Played for Laughs when she got payback on Paul for messing with one of her drinks and hit him with apples, but then left a bruise on his back, causing her to fold up and cry... and cry... and sob... and sob... like a big baby.
  • Nominal Hero: Between her and Paulie, Michelle is the lesser of two evils.
  • No Indoor Voice: Some of her Diary Room entries in the season premiere sounded as if she was shouting. And when she screamed after Paul sabotaged her drink, she screamed so loud she clipped the audio capture on her body mic!
  • Out of Focus: Following the events of Week 1 that lead to her finding out the identity of Tiffany's sister, Michelle hasn't been given much focus on the television episodes. On the feeds, however, she's quite a character.
  • The Pig-Pen: Meech is this in Paul's eyes, who is a Neat Freak. Paul could NOT. STAND. HER. Especially the fact she is habitually barefoot, which is Paul's biggest pet peeve because he hates the sight of his own feet- during Michelle's conversation about her love for being barefoot, Zakiyah jokes that she wants to see Paul's feet because they are really nice. Paul says he wants more tattoos so he doesn't have to see them. And then much later, Paul ranted about how she annoyed him in this regard.
Paul: "Safari Room is a pigsty because of Michelle … because she is a grotesque human being. Yeah, Michelle is disgusting. Everybody is a ***ing pig. They’ll cook in the kitchen, raw chicken... they’ll drop the juice all over the floor. 100% salmonella. Will just wipe it up then walk around the whole house barefoot. The bathroom. The bathroom is ***ing disgusting. I wipe everything in the bathroom before using it. That’s how disgusting it is. Walk everywhere barefoot and then go into their beds with their dirty ass feet. Pillows on the floor… Michelle is the top contender for having the grossest feet in the house and then just getting into bed.
  • Secret-Keeper: Does this for Tiffany when she finds out that she's the sister of Season 17 finalist Vanessa.
  • Tender Tears: Everyone rides Michelle's case over the fact that she seems to break down crying over the littlest things. All the time. Her BB Comics week superhero is literally a giant crybaby.
  • Tomboyish Baseball Cap: Michelle is very often seen wearing her black ballcap (either forwards, sideways, or backwards, depending on her mood and sass level of the day)...
  • Vomit Discretion Shot: About 30 minutes in the hashtag spinning HOH challenge, Michelle started spewing (throwing up) everywhere which was described as chunky by James and thankfully censored. Gross.
  • Worthy Opponent: For Paul. Paul would later reappear on Season 19 and say Big Meech would crack everybody in the house (a bunch of dinguses for the most part).

  • Academic Athlete: Managed to successfully form the word "sustainability" in a Scrabble-inspired challenge. Paulie exhibits not only exceptional athleticism and competitiveness, but also displays a remarkable level of intelligence and strategic thinking. In terms of intelligence and game instincts, he possesses a clear advantage over Cody. Paulie's demeanor may create the perception that he aligns with the stereotypes of either a Dumb Jock or a Dumb Muscle, as he is perceived to have limited intellectual capacity. It is worth mentioning that although he demonstrates intelligence and strong strategic abilities within the game, it remains uncertain whether these qualities translate to his real-life intelligence or overall intellect. Paulie's speech style conveys a perception of diminished intellectual capacity, while the frequent utilization of profanity implies a restricted range of vocabulary. One incontrovertible observation is that he demonstrates a superior level of intellectual prowess when compared to Cody within the confines of the game. Furthermore, he exhibits an enhanced aptitude for practicality and rational thinking, notwithstanding his less desirable character attributes.
  • Affably Evil: Paulie portrays himself as amiable and outgoing when interacting with the other residents of the house. Nevertheless, beneath this facade, his underlying motives revolve around devising intricate plans to undermine and ultimately defeat his fellow houseguests, all within the confines of his own mind. Paulie portrays himself as a congenial individual who effortlessly forges connections with his fellow houseguests, demonstrating his willingness to provide support to them throughout the duration of the game. Nevertheless, Paulie's motives are deeply entrenched in the act of manipulation, as he strategically adapts his language to correspond with the wants and objectives of others, ultimately advancing his own interests and personal agenda. The remarkable aspect of this situation is that a significant portion of the houseguests seem to be captivated by Paulie, establishing personal connections with him and relying on him within the framework of the game. This statement provides empirical support for the exceptional proficiency of Paulie's interpersonal abilities within the context of the game. Despite the prevailing circumstances, Paulie successfully managed to deceive a considerable number of individuals. Paulie presented himself as innocent, however, unbeknownst to others, he concealed his true nature as a malicious individual who frequently engaged in derogatory speech within the household. He had multiple objectives in mind, however, they seemed to be misunderstood or unappreciated by others. The main determinant that facilitated his achievement in misleading others was his proficiency in convincing them that he was aligned with their interests and a reliable companion, despite his ulterior motives of acting as their opponent and covertly plotting their downfall.
  • Ambition Is Evil: Paulie was extremely ambitious about advancing in the game. He possessed a resolute determination to successfully cross the finish line, driven by his desire to uphold the esteemed reputation of his younger sibling, Cody. To reach the end, Paulie resorted to playing a deceitful and manipulative game, involving extensive lying, backstabbing, and manipulation of his fellow houseguests. He exhibited a remarkable level of ruthlessness and a distinct lack of empathy when he betrayed his fellow houseguests. He exhibited a highly assertive playing style, consistently adopting an aggressive approach and specifically directing his actions towards the female participants in the house. Unfortunately for him, Paul's ambitious personality was what cost him the game. His excessively ambitious personality cost him the game because nobody ended up trusting him or wanting to be his ally anymore. Even Bridgette admitted to Paulie in the jury house that he had lost the game a long time ago, regardless of how hard he may have worked or if he had made it to the Final 2. His ambition had turned off a lot of people.
  • Arch-Enemy:
    • Tiffany and Frank. Frank is one of Paulie's enemies because Paulie had heard that Frank had been betraying him and had considered nominating him alongside Corey. What made it worse for Paulie was that he and Corey had made a deal or formed an alliance with Frank at the beginning of the game. Tiffany used to be somewhat of an ally for Paulie in the first couple of weeks of the game, primarily because they were siblings of former Big Brother players Vanessa and Cody. However, Paulie started to distrust Tiffany when she demonstrated her paranoia and suspicious behavior towards her allies. It didn't help that Tiffany tried to win the Power of Veto during the week when she was supposed to throw it, in order to backdoor Victor and send him home. Paulie has also frequently compared Tiffany to Vanessa, stating that they both strategically utilize their emotions in the game to achieve their objectives.
    • Michelle. She was initially an ally to Paulie, and the two got along very well in the beginning. However, Michelle felt betrayed by Paulie because he had intentions of getting Da'Vonne out of the house. When Da'Vonne was evicted, Michelle ended up exposing Paulie's game to everyone and tarnishing his reputation among the houseguests. As a result, the majority of the houseguests started to turn on Paulie and realized that he had been manipulating all of them, including Michelle. This managed to put a significant target on Paulie's back. Paulie became angered at Michelle and saw her as an adversary because she sabotaged his game and spread negative rumors about him to multiple houseguests. This deeply angered Paulie and led him to wanting to get rid of Michelle. The two have a very antagonistic relationship, and Paulie and Michelle have been in some arguments.
    • Natalie. Paulie's vendetta against Natalie seems to be more personal than game-related. It appears that Natalie has never done anything to Paulie in the game. Natalie hardly communicates with Paulie, and the two are not even in an alliance. Paulie has consistently gone out of his way to personally attack Natalie's physical appearance, repeatedly mentioning that she has undergone breast augmentation and even giving her the derogatory nickname "FT's" which stands for "Fake Titties." He has also targeted her personality, labeling her as fake and constantly referring to her as a "Jersey Girl," all without any valid reason. Paulie seems to know Natalie in the real world, as they appear to be part of the same social circle, both hailing from New Jersey. It is uncertain if Paulie has such a strong personal vendetta against Natalie because she reminds him of many girls he has dated or grown up with, or if she reminds Paulie of his ex-girlfriend whom he recently broke up with before coming into the house.
    • Da'Vonne. Although their rivalry did not start until after they had both left the house. Even when Da'Vonne and Paulie were still playing the game, Da'Vonne never completely trusted Paulie because he was in a showmance with one of her closest allies, Zakiyah. Paulie had every intention of getting rid of Da'Vonne after learning that she wanted to target all of the couples in the house, including Paulie and Zakiyah, James and Natalie, and Corey and Nicole. However, Da'Vonne was entirely oblivious to the fact that she had captured Paulie's attention. During Week 6, when Paul was the Head of Household, Paulie made it his mission to ensure that Da'Vonne would be targeted for eviction through a backdoor strategy. He went as far as volunteering himself as a sacrificial pawn to be nominated alongside Bridgette, who was initially targeted by Paul. Da'Vonne was strategically targeted for eviction through a backdoor maneuver, ultimately resulting in her successful eviction from the house. This eviction was the culmination of Paulie's persistent efforts over several weeks. The intensity and animosity of the rivalry between Da'Vonne and Paulie escalated significantly upon their arrival at the jury house. Da'Vonne discovered that Paulie emerged as the winner of the Power of Veto (POV) and made the deliberate decision not to employ it in favor of Zakiyah, who had been nominated for eviction. Da'Vonne was profoundly incensed by this incident, and she has harbored lasting resentment towards Paulie ever since. When Paulie arrived at the jury house, Da'Vonne openly expressed her personal dislike for him and criticized his numerous mistakes involving Zakiyah. Their rivalry has become one of the most intense of the season. It doesn't help that Da'Vonne and Paulie are constantly engaging in personal attacks against each other. Da'Vonne consistently directs her attention towards Paulie's physical attributes, stature, and personal characteristics, whereas Paulie critiques Da'Vonne's capacity to fulfill her role as a responsible mother to her daughter, citing her exaggerated antics and conduct as the basis for his judgment. It is evident that the two have a strong dislike for each other, to the extent that Da'Vonne refuses to acknowledge Paulie's presence in the jury house with her. Da'Vonne's profound aversion towards Paulie has ultimately led to the deterioration of her friendship with Zakiyah. Zakiyah's decision to reconcile with Paulie and resume communication with him, despite their prior disagreement, is indicative of her willingness to mend their relationship.
  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: Paulie is a great competitor, but he certainly has a very cocky and arrogant demeanor. Let's not forget that Paulie always likes to feel like he is running everything, and he will display very controlling behavior towards other houseguests. Paulie seriously seems to think that he is the King of the Big Brother house.
  • Asshole Victim: In Week 7 and Week 8, things really start to go downhill for Paulie. He ends up having all of his allies turn on him after his game is exposed and blown up. His allies distrust him because they realize that he was playing and manipulating them. They end up blindsiding him when they vote out Zakiyah over Michelle, who was Paulie's intended target. To make matters worse, Victor ends up winning the Head of Household competition and nominating himself and his ally Corey as the nominees. Paulie also loses the POV to Victor, which would have given him the power to remove himself from the block and ensure his safety, as he was the intended target. On top of all of this, Paulie has a complete emotional and mental breakdown. It is evident that he is completely overwhelmed and shattered by the chaos he has encountered in just one week. With everything that has happened to Paulie, there should be a great deal of sympathy and compassion for his situation. Unfortunately, Paulie has been so arrogant for a while that it is hard to feel sorry for him. The reason he is in this situation to begin with is because he overplayed his hand.
  • Badass Boast: Like his brother Cody, Paulie makes a lot of promises and threats in the game. However, unlike Cody, Paulie has actually managed to follow through on some of the threats that he has made.
  • Bait the Dog: In the initial stages, Paulie emerged as one of the most widely favored participants of the season. He seemed like a likable guy; in fact, he seemed much more likable in comparison to Cody. However, that changed as the weeks went by, and Paulie showed that he is rather unlikeable in terms of his personality. His treatment of Tiffany, in particular, has been dishonorable. This can be attributed to Paulie's sense of insecurity, as he perceived a potential threat in Tiffany's ability to emulate her sister, Vanessa, as a skilled player. Paulie exhibited no qualms in mistreating Frank, a former ally, throughout the entirety of his eviction. Now that Frank and Tiffany are gone, Da'Vonne seems to have become Paulie's new scapegoat. Additionally, Paulie has exhibited the behavior of betraying his close ally and romantic partner, Zakiyah, by divulging negative information about her to multiple other participants in the house. He has no qualms about using and manipulating her for his own advantage. All in all, Paulie comes across as very unlikeable. Interestingly, a similar occurrence took place during Cody's season. Cody initially enjoyed popularity among his peers at the onset of the season; however, as the game progressed, his true nature began to emerge.
  • Beauty Is Bad: The guy's very attractive but don't let that fool you, he's pretty much a Devil in Plain Sight now. Most of the houseguests either work for him or are too afraid to go after him. Not to mention that Paulie also displays some sexist and misogynistic attitudes towards the female houseguests. He can also be very arrogant, cocky and controlling.
  • Big Bad: Now that Frank has been evicted, Paulie might be on his way to becoming the main villain of the season. He is a Manipulative Bastard who is running the house and controlling everything. Michelle even makes a comment about this, saying that Paulie has become more and more like Frank because of his bossy and controlling behaviour.
  • Big Man on Campus: Paulie is very well liked by the rest of the house and seems to be very popular with the ladies. He's also buddies with all of the guys as well. Not to mention that he is physically attractive, smart and athletic as well. Subverted Trope after he Took a Level in Jerkass. He seems to be widely disliked now by a lot of the other houseguests with the exception of a few (such as Corey and Nicole).
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Paulie initially displayed attributes of amiability, sociability, and affability during his stay as a houseguest. The manifestation of his authentic character unveiled his manipulative, controlling, and unlikable attributes within his personality. He has exhibited a distinct propensity for sexism and misogyny, consistently singling out almost all female houseguests, with the sole exception of Nicole. The manner in which Paulie has treated Zakiyah has been deemed highly objectionable and bordering on abusive. Throughout an extended duration, the individual in question participated in derogatory conversations regarding Zakiyah in her absence, all the while presenting a facade of support when directly interacting with her. Paulie engaged in the exploitation of Zakiyah, deeming her as expendable and subjecting her to public humiliation on televised media. He voiced his disapproval of Frank's behavior towards the female members of the household, which encompassed acts of sexual harassment, derogatory comments based on gender, and physical contact in the form of slapping their buttocks. Paulie demonstrated proactive behavior by addressing Frank's inappropriate behavior. It is apparent that the aforementioned depiction of Paulie was clearly fraudulent, as it turns out that he displays the exact same behavior that he was advocating against. Over the span of several weeks, the authentic character and inherent nature of Paulie became apparent, eliminating any potential for a change in direction.
  • The Bluebeard: Downplayed. Paulie's level of flirtation is significantly lower compared to Cody's behavior exhibited during his season. Unlike Cody, who engaged in flirtatious behavior and formed friendships with numerous female houseguests, only to betray and ultimately evict them, Paulie demonstrated a higher level of loyalty by primarily aligning himself with a single female houseguest, namely Zakiyah. Despite initially being Zakiyah's closest ally, Paulie eventually began devising a plan to eliminate her once he recognized that she no longer served a purpose in advancing his gameplay. Victor ultimately chose to nominate Zakiyah as the intended target for eviction. Zakiyah was completely unaware of Paulie's betrayal and clandestine plotting against her. Paulie neglected to employ the Power of Veto to safeguard her from being nominated for eviction. It was evident that Paulie intended to eliminate her, but Zakiyah, being naive, failed to recognize this. She maintained her belief that Paulie remained loyal to her and had her best interests at heart. Despite Paulie's decision to vote in favor of keeping Zakiyah instead of Michelle, it ultimately had no impact on the outcome. This is because Paulie played a significant role in orchestrating Zakiyah's eviction from the game, making him both indirectly and directly responsible for her departure.
  • Break the Haughty: In Week 7, Paulie experiences a significant shift in his alliances, as his entire alliance, including Paul, James, and Victor, turns against him. Upon discovering that they had been manipulated by Paulie throughout, individuals engage in such behavior due to the multitude of alliances he had formed with different individuals. In order to retaliate against Paulie, the group collectively made the decision to blindside him by choosing to evict Zakiyah instead of Michelle. To exacerbate the situation, Victor emerges as the Head of Household (HOH) following the Double Eviction. He subsequently selects Paulie and his most trusted confidant Corey for nomination. The remaining occupants of the house endeavor to dismantle Paulie's resolve by engaging in heated debates with him and openly criticizing his conduct within the house, as well as his treatment of fellow houseguests. Additionally, Paulie relinquishes the Power of Veto (POV) to Victor, a competition that would have guaranteed his immunity for the duration of the week. Emotionally and mentally, Paulie appears to have been significantly affected by these circumstances, leading to a noticeable decline in his well-being. This current portrayal of Paulie stands in stark contrast to his previous dominance and control over the game during the initial six weeks.
  • Brief Accent Imitation: During his statement to the houseguests prior to the first eviction vote, Paulie does an impression of Al Pacino as Tony Montana in Scarface.
Paulie (as Tony): "You guys want to vote for me to stay? OK, that's fine. You vote to evict me, that's the last time you're gonna see this face again."
  • Catchphrase: Frequently uses the phrase "Type thing" after he says something. The use of "Type thing" has become so popular that almost all of the houseguests have used it at one point or another. Even Nicole seems to have picked it up.
  • The Charmer: Paulie exhibits a high degree of flirtatious behavior towards the female residents of the house. It appears to be a characteristic that he possesses in common with Cody. It was discovered that he did not possess the same level of charm and smoothness as Cody. Many women began to perceive Paulie negatively and recognized his unpleasant and arrogant behavior. Despite certain imperfections, Cody demonstrated a high level of respect towards the women residing in the house, consistently exhibiting gentlemanly behavior. It is worth noting that his flirtatious interactions with them were primarily driven by strategic considerations.
  • The Chessmaster: Paulie has demonstrated to be the most adept at manipulation and strategic planning among all the houseguests throughout the season. He exerts control over all the events occurring within the game, although the majority of the other houseguests remain oblivious to his manipulation or fail to grasp his true intentions. Paulie demonstrates a high level of strategic thinking and possesses a keen understanding of the dynamics within the house, as well as the behaviors and motivations of his fellow houseguests. He perceives the remaining houseguests as mere pawns in a game of chess, strategically manipulating them to his own benefit. All of the individuals he had intended to target have been successfully evicted on a weekly basis thus far. Paulie demonstrates exceptional persuasive skills in influencing the actions of his fellow houseguests, subtly orchestrating their behavior to align with his own desires. This manipulation remains undetected by the others, who remain oblivious to the fact that they are being exploited and controlled by him. In contrast to Cody, Paulie exhibits a greater aptitude for strategy and manipulation.
  • Chick Magnet: Virtually all of the women in the house (Natalie, Zakiyah and Bronte in particular) have mentioned how attractive they think Paulie is.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Paulie has consistently betrayed every houseguest at some point during his time in the house. He has even betrayed some of his allies, including Zakiyah, Frank, Tiffany, and Nicole. The only individuals among the houseguests whom he has not contemplated betraying are Paul and Corey. It is noteworthy that Paulie has adeptly betrayed and betrayed numerous individuals with relatively minimal direct involvement in their harm. The eviction of every houseguest whom Paulie has betrayed or deceived has been observed.
  • Cluster F-Bomb: Like his brother Cody, he has a tendency to use the F word or curse a lot. The constant use of the F word could be the way that they talk in New Jersey, since it seems to be a pattern with both Cody and Paulie.
  • Competition Freak: Paulie is the best competitor of the season so far. He has won the most competitions, having won 2 Head Of Households and 3 Power Of Vetoes in a span of seven weeks. Not even his brother Cody won that many competitions that early on in his season.
  • Control Freak: Paulie always has to be in control of everything that is going on. He has a very dominant, alpha type personality. If he doesn't have control over a situation, then he gets irritated.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Paulie has a very sarcastic sense of humor. Similarly, his brother Cody also exhibited the same kind of humour, which was known to be very biting and sarcastic.
  • The Determinator: Paulie is the type of person who never gives up when he really wants something. Once Paulie has set his mind on accomplishing something, he won't stop until he has achieved it. If Paulie is determined to get a specific houseguest or target out of the house, he will find every single way to make it happen, whether it be competitively, socially, or strategically (using manipulation). Paulie is also a Control Freak and he is a very persistent person.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Paulie just cannot seem to understand why someone like Natalie would be so popular with voters. When Natalie received the first America's Care Package, Paulie was rather shocked and disgruntled. It is not unexpected that Paulie has harbored a personal grievance against Natalie since the first week of the game, a vendetta that is entirely unjustified and unnecessary. Paulie also cannot seem to comprehend why James had turned on him when he voted against Zakiyah in Week 7. He doesn't seem to realize that James did not take kindly to Paulie's constant trash talking of his showmance partner (Natalie) and his overly controlling and aggressive attitude in the game.
  • Evil Genius: Paulie, despite his exceptional athleticism and competitiveness, stands out as the most strategic and intelligent player of the season in the game. He exhibits the characteristics of being The Man Behind the Man and the Manipulative Bastard, indicating his control over all aspects within the household. Paulie exhibits exceptional proficiency in the art of manipulation, skillfully persuading and influencing others to comply with his desires. He is also known as The Chessmaster, as he strategically manipulates the other houseguests to further his own game agenda. He manipulates the other houseguests as if they were mere pawns in a game of chess. He does not possess the exceptional strategic acumen and manipulation skills exhibited by Derrick, Dan, or Dr. Will. However, within the context of this particular season, he stands out as one of the top performers.
  • Evil Is Petty: Paulie has engaged in a multitude of personal remarks and attacks directed towards the other houseguests. He has expressed misogynistic views towards certain female houseguests, namely Tiffany, Natalie, Michelle, and Zakiyah. He has consistently expressed opinions regarding Natalie's character, asserting that she lacks credibility and authenticity due to her breast implants and her origin from Jersey. Paulie has additionally implicated Zakiyah, asserting that she is excessively emotional and poses a significant risk to his gameplay. It is evident that Paulie derives pleasure from engaging in psychological manipulation with Zakiyah, leading to frequent arguments and subsequent emotional distress experienced by Zakiyah. Paulie harbors a significant animosity towards Michelle and holds a profound disdain for her due to her astute awareness of his manipulative tactics, which he perceives as a betrayal of their previous alliance. He exhibited negative behavior towards Tiffany, bordering on bullying, due to his perception of her as emotionally unstable and too similar to her sister Vanessa. The male houseguests, including Corey, Paul, and James, are the only individuals whom Paulie has refrained from betraying on a personal level.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Paulie's initial impression as a congenial and affable houseguest, sought after by many for alliances in the game, underwent a significant transformation, as he gradually adopted an arrogant, cocky, mean-spirited, and vengeful demeanor. The disparities observed in the behavior and performance of Paulie during the initial weeks of the game compared to his more recent weeks are starkly contrasting. Paulie underwent a transformation, assuming a controlling demeanor and succumbing to his inflated ego. As a consequence, Paulie's strategy was severely disrupted, potentially causing long-term damage to his prospects for recovery. One must inquire: What transpired to cause such a significant change in Paulie's character from the earlier season?
  • Fallen Hero: When comparing Paulie's initial state at the beginning of the game to his current state, it is truly astonishing to observe the significant transformation he has undergone within a mere eight-week period. Paulie was one of the most liked and popular houseguests inside the house who had strong gameplay. Unfortunately for him, that has changed, as everyone has caught onto Paulie's game and his scheming antics. He has emerged as a prominent subject of interest among several other houseguests, including Michelle, James, Victor, Natalie, Bridgette, and Paul.
  • Final Boss: It was evident that Paulie emerged as the most formidable participant and the primary antagonist of the season. The remaining houseguests do not exhibit the same level of villainous behavior as Paulie. If Paulie is evicted in Week 8, which appears highly probable given Victor's victory in the POV and his inclination to maintain the nominations of Paulie and Corey, the subsequent stages of the season will lack any further antagonistic figures. Paulie's unrivaled prowess in terms of competitiveness, strategic manipulations, and social game aptitude solidifies his position as the most lethal and perilous player of the season, a status that is expected to persist. If Paulie had not jeopardized his game by playing aggressively and recklessly, it is highly probable that he would have successfully reached the Final 2 and emerged as the winner.
  • Freudian Excuse: Paulie once broke up with a girl, and a lot of his anger about it seeps into many of his clashes with other women in the house. He's also had money problems in the past and is actually in bad mental health and lied about it to get onto the show. His shrink said "it would be like playing with fire", but he didn't listen.
  • Gag Penis: Paulie once told Zakiyah "I'm Black from the waist down", implying that he is well-endowed.
  • Hot-Blooded: Paulie exhibits a personality characterized by intense passion and a tendency to become easily agitated, much like his brother Cody. His assertive and impulsive demeanor has frequently led him into precarious situations, as he appears to derive satisfaction from instigating disputes and engaging in confrontations with others. Cody, although possessing impulsive and passionate tendencies, did not exhibit the same level of aggression and directness as Paulie. Paulie exhibits a higher propensity for direct confrontation and openly challenging individuals, whereas Cody expresses his intention to confront others but ultimately chooses not to do so.
  • Humiliation Conga: During his final week in the house, Paulie was nominated by his once ally Victor. None of his fellow houseguests felt any sympathy for him with the exception of Corey and Nicole. Then after losing the veto Paulie received a punishment to bake apple pies for the entire summer. Then when he got to the jury house Da'Vonne, Zakiyah and Bridgette all mocked him over his eviction and confronted him over his behavior towards women.
  • Hypocrite: Paulie criticized Tiffany for playing her sister Vanessa's game; yet his gameplay resembles both his brother and his partner in the game Derrick. Zingbot called him out for being "a poor man's Cody" and Michelle also said in her goodbye message (spoofing Zingbot's zing) that he was "a poor man's Derrick." Also in a Buzzfeed article, Paulie criticized Bridgette for voting for Paul because she is a feminist and "supported" someone who called her friend Michelle a "cunt." However, Paulie voted for Nicole to win over Paul which is ironic because of his treatment of women in the house (he did mention in an earlier interview that he didn't think a girl will win) and he was actually once close with Paul on a strategic level.
  • Jerkass: BIG TIME. Paulie was initially perceived as one of the more affable contestants of the season; however, it has become evident that he possesses a highly unpleasant demeanor characterized by arrogance, egotism, cockiness, and aggression. He exhibits a propensity for engaging in derogatory discourse towards fellow houseguests, often resorting to personal attacks. He additionally exhibits a tendency to mistreat the female houseguests, including Tiffany, Michelle, Natalie, Zakiyah, and Bridgette. Paulie exhibits a pronounced inclination towards controlling behavior, firmly convinced of his ability to exert authority over all aspects of the game. If Paulie is unable to achieve his desired outcome, he will employ tactics of bullying or intimidation.
  • Joisey: Paulie hails from Howell, New Jersey but he is originally from Hackensack, New Jersey. It is very clear that Paulie is from New Jersey because of the way he presents himself, especially with the way he expresses himself or the way that he talks. His brother Cody had the same "New Jersey swagger".
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After subjecting women to mistreatment throughout the season, Bridgette strategically orchestrated the downfall of her male counterpart by successfully manipulating his allies Paul, Victor, and James to turn against him. After Bridgette left she was responsible for influencing Victor's second HOH reign to evict him. When Paulie arrived to jury house he found out from Bridgette he lost every jury vote if he was in the Final 2 because they felt that his gameplay was too personal and they felt that he shouldn't win because of his personal attacks towards women. Also in the jury house, Da'Vonne confronted Paulie over the way he treats women and things turn for the worse after Paulie brought up her daughter which she screamed at him "Don't bring up my daughter!" and proceeded to yell at Zakiyah how horrible of a person Paulie is.
  • Lovable Jock <-> Jerk Jock: Paulie exhibits exceptional athleticism and actively participates in the sport of soccer. The individual initially displayed amiable traits, but subsequently exhibited an increase in arrogance, cockiness, dominance, and aggression in their personality. He exhibits a sense of entitlement and occasionally employs tactics of intimidation and bullying towards fellow houseguests. He exhibits a belief in his invincibility and a disregard for any potential pursuit or challenge from others within the game.
  • The Man Behind the Man: Paulie is clearly the Manipulative Bastard and The Chessmaster of the season, as he is the houseguest who is playing everyone and manipulating the entire game to his advantage. Many of the other houseguests seem to be entranced by him and they always end up doing what he wants in the end. Paulie is the puppet master and all of the other houseguests are just his puppets.
  • Manipulative Bastard: It is easy to see that Paulie is the one running the game and pulling all of the strings. He is also rather manipulative and cunning in his approach and he shows that he has little no no problem with playing ruthlessly and stabbing people in the back. It seems that he got good advice from Derrick before coming onto the show; Derrick also did mention he should not have won many competitions otherwise he would've made it in the Final 2.
  • Manipulative Editing: Paulie was edited out of the special Friday episode which is one of the most infamous edits Big Brother has done yet. This edit was done to make it look like the Ziggy Marley concert happened after Paulie's eviction. Some examples include Nicole's right arm being removed where Paulie was and Victor "winning" Paulie's tech pack which he mentioned on the live feeds. However, Ziggy Marley tweeted a photo with Paulie in it which is Paulie's only available footage from the episode.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Another thing Paulie has in common with Cody is his shirtless scenes.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: Has more than once expressed worry about getting evicted early on, because Cody would likely never let him hear the end of it. His brother, however, has more faith that Paulie won't repeat the same mistakes (particularly choosing a strong player and trusted ally like Derrick over a floater such as Victoria to take to the Final 2) that cost Cody the $500,000 prize, as he mentions in a ''TV Guide'' interview.
  • One-Steve Limit: Double subverted. His given name is Paul just like Paul Abrahamian, but he is always referred to as "Paulie", making the distinction clear.
  • Sore Loser: He did not take his eviction very well. Da'Vonne even called him out for this in the jury house. Paulie was also considered to be a bitter jury member because he would not accept that he lost the game and lost all of the jury votes if he was in the Final 2.
  • Start of Darkness: Do you want to know why Paulie went crazy? He lied about his mental stability pre-season. All because he was the brother of a former contestant with a free pass into the house. Paulie actually went against the advice of his shrink to go on the show because he had a fear of enclosed spaces and severe depression, and going on the show could cause him to snap. He After a few weeks, Paulie completely lost it.
  • Straw Misogynist: Makes some pretty... sexist comments, such as saying that Victoria knew to "keep her mouth shut" and "knew her place". Then there is his treatment of Zakiyah....
  • Tall, Dark, and Handsome: Another thing he has in common with his younger brother Cody. However, technically speaking, it's a Averted Trope on the tall part, since Paulie is actually shorter than his brother (Paulie has said that he is about 5'7" or 5'8"). Cody fits this trope a little better because he has got darker hair than Paulie and he is also taller than Paulie.
  • Tall Poppy Syndrome: Despite strongly resembling him, Paulie initially hedges against revealing that his brother is Season 16 finalist Cody, out of concern that he'll be targeted because of this. Despite this, he decides to reveal this fact to the other roommates anyway, just to get any suspicions out of the way.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: And how! Compare early game Paulie to the current Vanessa Rousso, and Derrick Lavasseur-like Paulie of today. He's insulted virtually every female houseguest with the exception of Nicole.
  • Uncanny Family Resemblance: Invoked by Michelle in the season premiere, who immediately figures out that Tiffany and her sister, Season 17 finalist Vanessa Rousso, might be related due to their fairly strong resemblance.
  • Villainous Breakdown/Villainous BSoD: By the eighth week, it becomes evident that Paulie has experienced significant emotional and mental deterioration. Much of the catalyst for this occurrence can be attributed to the tumultuous events and disorder that unfolded during Week 7. The entirety of his alliance, including individuals such as James, Paul, Victor, Michelle, and others, ultimately betrayed him. The game he had developed was heavily criticized by a multitude of individuals, leading to a widespread loss of trust in him. During the Week 7 eviction, Paulie, along with Corey and Nicole, experienced a blindsiding moment when they made the collective decision to vote out Zakiyah. To exacerbate the situation, Victor emerges as the Head of Household (HOH) following the Double Eviction. Once again, he finds himself caught off guard when Victor unexpectedly selects him as a nominee, along with his trusted ally Corey. It becomes increasingly unfavorable when Paulie fails to win the Power of Veto (POV) against Victor, a crucial competition that would have guaranteed his protection. During this period, Paulie experiences a significant decline in emotional stability and manifests multiple instances of psychological breakdowns. Even the fellow residents of the house (including those who were once his allies but have now betrayed him) express genuine concern for his psychological and emotional welfare.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: Paulie's tendency not to wear a shirt in the house is lampshaded by Michelle in a DR entry following Category Four's assignment of their pixel punishment, stating that he and Frank practically walk around the house nearly naked anyway.
  • You Look Familiar: Before he was selected to compete in Season 18, Paulie had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo in the 17th season, during a segment in which Cody and Season 16 winner Derrick discussed the season. Paulie was shown arriving to Derrick's house for a cookout during that piece, making him the only houseguest to have appeared in a prior season before becoming a contestant.

Bridgette Hailey Dunning (Evicted HG #8, Juror #3)

Bridgette Hailey Dunning

Born: July 15, 1991 (age at time of competition: 25)
Hometown: Fresno, CA
Current City Of Residence: Ventura, CA
Occupation: Traveling Nurse
Number Of HOH Wins: 1
Number Of POV Wins: 1
Number Of Times Nominated: 3
Number Of Times As Have-Not: 1
Prizes/Punishments Taken: 8-Day Pixel Suit Punishment, Outback Dinner
Team: Category (Frank, Bridgette, Michelle, Paulie)
Finished: 9th Place [3RD JUROR]
Evicted: 5-1 VS. MICHELLE
HOH/POV Evicted Under: COREY (HOH/POV)
Voted For (As Jury Member): PAUL

  • All of the Other Reindeer: Has been pretty mercilessly bullied and treated poorly by the other houseguests from as early as the first week, something that was curiously edited out of the television broadcasts.
  • Ascended Fangirl: She's a superfan of Big Brother. Affirmed during a conversation between her, Paulie and Josea about Nicole's nomination of the latter of the three in Week 1, when Bridgette off-handedly revealed that she is a follower of Nicole's Twitter account.
  • Beta Bitch: Seemed to be one for both Bronte and Natalie. Bronte and Natalie both have Alpha Bitch personalities and tend to start all of the trash talking, but Bridgette seems more like someone who is a follower of them and only engages in the petty trash talking when both Bronte and Natalie are doing so. Bridgette may be catty and bitchy at times, but she is much nicer than Bronte and Natalie.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Bridgette has admitted to having a "dark side," that only her friends know about and particularly comes up when coming across mean people.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Like some of the other female houseguests, Bridgette appears nice and friendly most of the time, but do not be fooled. She does have a rather bitchy and catty side to her. This is the same girl who has said that she had a desire to shave off Michelle's eyebrows. Granted, it was understandable why she would make such a comment since she and Michelle have had an ongoing rivalry since the start of the game, but it's still inexcusable. Bridgette is nice, but not too nice.
  • Brutal Honesty: Bridgette is extremely honest and never sugarcoats how she feels. She's highly opinionated and is always willing to call people out on their BS. Before she was evicted, Bridgette called out Paulie and ended up exposing his game to the entire house. Everyone ended up targeting Paulie afterwards because of Bridgette's honesty about Paulie.
  • The Cutie: Bridgette has a personality befitting a nurse: she's rather likeable, generally nice and sweet. Although Da'Vonne has assumed that her seeming innocence may be an act, after Bridgette said that she doesn't trust Nicole's game strategy in awareness of Nicole's prior experience as a contestant.
  • The Dragon: To Frank. She was basically Frank's minion and wanted to do everything that Frank told her to do. She also didn't seem to care that she was being used as an Unwitting Pawn by him. When Bridgette was Head Of Household, the nominations she had made during Week 3 (which were Paul and Tiffany) were actually really Frank's nominations because he had intended to get Tiffany out that week. The other houseguests even commented and said that Bridgette's HOH was really Frank's HOH and they were absolutely right. Subverted now that Frank has been evicted.
  • Extreme Doormat: Made extremely obvious during her week as Head of Household, but she basically lets Frank decide everything for her with no argument. She lampshades this in a conversation with Bronte (while the latter tells her that whatever backlash for the nominations of Paul and Tiffany that week occurs, will fall on Frank's hands), worrying that – since her nominations were essentially controlled by Frank – that the other houseguests might not think she has a backbone. Incidentally, this backfires against her as it results in Bronte's nomination by Frank after he wins the Roadkill Competition and Bronte's subsequent eviction, causing Bridgette to lose one of her strongest allies in the game.
  • Genki Girl: Bridgette is usually very upbeat, high energy and often brandishes a smile on her face. She's always enthusiastic about everything.
  • Girl Next Door: Accessibly cute? Check. Sweet personality? Check. Likeable? Check.
  • Good Counterpart: To Frank, her Evil Counterpart. While Bridgette is a nice girl and Frank is more ruthless, the two managed to become fairly close friends (with Bridgette as the unwitting non-evil minion), up until she found out that Frank was responsible for Bronte's eviction nomination in Week 3.
  • Gosh Dang It to Heck!: While Bridgette has dropped a few profanities that had to be censored on the television episodes, her DR entry expressing Tranquil Fury over the Roadkill Competition winner (Frank)'s secret nomination of Bronte as the third houseguest up for eviction during Bridgette's Week 3 reign as Head of Household qualifies, even though the sentiment still gives an apparent "watch your back" vibe:
Bridgette: Whoever the heck won this Roadkill, you have no idea who the heck you're messing with. If I find out who you are, watch your freakin' back.
  • Grew a Spine: Leading up to the first Double Eviction, Bridgette finally gets fed up with the more sexist attitudes of the male House Guests and calls out Paulie particularly. Unfortunately for her, Corey ends up winning both the HOH and Power of Veto and she gets sent to the Jury House.
  • Handicapped Badass: She ended up spraining an ankle and on crutches for a while.
  • Nice Girl: One of Bridgette's notable traits that can contribute to her success in the social aspect of the game is her affable nature. This was evident when Bridgette assumed the role of Head of Household (HOH) in Week 3 and expressed her desire to minimize her involvement in any controversial actions. Additionally, Bridgette demonstrated good intentions by extending an invitation to the Big Sister alliance to join Category Four for a celebratory dinner at Outback Steakhouse, which she had won through the Week 3 Power of Veto (POV) competition. It is worth noting that Bridgette's decision to include the alliance in the dinner was motivated by the fact that it was Zakiyah's birthday on the same day, and she hoped that the gathering would help facilitate reconciliation between Frank and Da'Vonne over a meal and drinks. However, one drawback in Bridgette's overall gameplay is her lack of assertiveness, as evidenced by her initial Head of Household (HOH) reign being heavily influenced by Frank's decisions.
  • Straw Feminist: Downplayed. Bridgette openly acknowledges her identification as a feminist, while explicitly expressing that she does not harbor animosity towards all men. She exhibits a lack of respect towards men who engage in disrespectful behavior or belittle women, while also perpetuating the notion of male superiority over women. One of the factors contributing to Bridgette's strong opposition towards Paulie was her recognition of his misogynistic and chauvinistic attitudes, coupled with his inflated ego and excessive arrogance. Bridgette acknowledged that despite Paulie's influential role as the dominant player orchestrating events from behind the scenes, she found his treatment and communication with the women in the house to be lacking in respect. Bridgette's animosity towards Paulie intensified due to his reprehensible actions, which included verbally abusing Natalie by using derogatory language and making misogynistic remarks about her. Furthermore, Paulie's betrayal of Zakiyah and his disparaging remarks about her to his male allies further fueled Bridgette's disdain for him.
  • Surfer Dude: Bridgette mentions in her intro package that the main reason she moved to Southern California, was to learn how to surf.
  • Tomboy: Bridgette exhibits strong tomboyish characteristics. She possesses a less feminine demeanor compared to Bronte, Natalie, or Zakiyah. She derives pleasure from engaging in activities traditionally dominated by males, such as surfing. Bridgette, in contrast to the other female houseguests, exhibits a more casual approach to her attire and minimal use of makeup. Instead, she opts for casual attire, including jeans, tops, and Converse sneakers.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She's a certified tomboy, but she's very feminine and enjoys female pastimes.
  • Unwitting Pawn: For Frank, up until his eviction. She had literally done everything that he had asked her to do and it was obvious that Frank was just using her to do what he wanted in the game. Unfortunately for Bridgette, she was just too enthralled with Frank to even realize it.
  • When She Smiles: Bridgette has a very adorable and infectious smile.
  • Written-In Infirmity: Of the unscripted variety. Bridgette accidentally fractures her ankle, after falling during a failed attempt at one of Frank's signature back-to-back jumps, while celebrating with him following her POV win in Week 3.

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Although Zakiyah was unaware of it, Paulie eventually began to perceive her in this manner. The initial camaraderie between the two individuals in the game was characterized by a strong bond and mutual support. However, as the game progressed, their relationship started to deteriorate as a result of contrasting personalities and divergent approaches to gameplay. Paulie characterized Zakiyah as a detriment to his gameplay due to her excessive emotionalism and significant propensity for distraction. Eventually, the dynamics of their relationship shifted to a state of imbalance, as the initial mutual attraction between the two individuals diminished. Paulie engaged in a strategic manipulation of Zakiyah's emotions by feigning affection towards her, while concurrently engaging in derogatory conversations about her with other houseguests and devising plans for her eviction.
  • Action Girl: Described herself as a "bad bitch" in her intro package, in which she was shown to be a crack shot with a gun while practicing at a gun range. This is considered to be a Subverted Trope because it turns out that she is not that great of a competitor and she comes off as more of The Load, someone who is pretty useless in the game.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Paulie would often call her "Z" as a pet name for her. Eventually, everyone else in the house started to follow suit and call her by this as well.
  • All Take and No Give: Zakiyah exhibited extreme submissiveness towards Paulie, complying with all of his requests. She exhibited unwavering loyalty towards him and demonstrated unquestioning obedience to his commands. Paulie evidently exerted manipulative tactics to coerce her into a state of submission, thereby establishing absolute dominance over her. Despite Zakiyah's unwavering loyalty and trust in Paulie, he failed to reciprocate the same level of trust and loyalty towards her. In reality, following several weeks of utilizing her and manipulating her actions to serve his own interests, Paulie was devising a plan to strategically target, nominate, and ultimately evict Zakiyah without her knowledge or awareness.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Zakiyah is generally a Nice Girl, but do not cross her or piss her off. She actually has quite a temper when she is really provoked into anger. Not to mention that although generally nice, she can be very catty and bitchy at times, especially towards some of the other female houseguests.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: On the show, she is shown as fairly affable, but she has talked crap about Nicole, Bridgette, Tiffany, Michelle, and Natalie.
  • Brutal Honesty: She possesses a strong inclination towards expressing her opinions and exhibits no hesitation in vocalizing her thoughts when provoked. While maintaining her composure within the confines of the house, she unabashedly expressed her genuine emotions during the Jury phase. After Paulie entered the Jury House after being evicted, Zakiyah confronted Paulie about why he didn't choose to save her in the game by using the pOV that he had won on her to remove her from the block. Zakiyah accused Paulie of manipulating her, using her and lying to her for the entire game, something that she would have never said to Paulie's face while they were still in the house together. Zakiyah made hot clear that she felt Paulie was against her from the beginning and that he had always been plotting against her and wanting to get her out of the game. Paulie asserts that his motivation for wanting to remove her from his life stemmed from her persistent irritations and excessive reliance on portraying herself as a victim, which had become overwhelming for him to tolerate any longer. The intensity and heat of the confrontation escalated as Zakiyah referred to Paulie as a "bitch" and a "loser," asserting that he had received a significant dose of karma for his actions. Paulie levied allegations against Zakiyah, asserting that she engaged in manipulative behavior during their time together in the house. He claimed that Zakiyah would oscillate between displaying affection towards him and then abruptly attempting to create distance and push him away. Zakiyah firmly admonishes Paulie, warning him against attempting to deceive her, as she asserts her intelligence and refusal to be manipulated by his deceptive tactics. Da'Vonne and Bridgette observed Zakiyah's display of newfound courage as she confronted Paulie directly. They were filled with joy and admiration for her, as she fearlessly delivered the unfiltered and sincere truth to him.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Definitely shows strong shades of this towards Paulie. Zakiyah gets upset or insecure any time Paulie hangs out with another female houseguest, such as Natalie for example. Zakiyah exhibited a high level of dependency, consistently seeking Paulie's attention and attempting to monopolize it, thereby preventing any potential distractions from other female houseguests. She is arguably the most jealous and needy girl of the season.
  • Dark Mistress: Zakiyah was the Love Interest or the showmantic partner to Paulie, who was the Big Bad or the villain of the season.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Along with being a Sassy Black Woman, Zakiyah's kind of humour tends to be of the sarcastic and snarky kind.
  • Dogged Nice Girl: Towards Paulie. Although Paulie and Zakiyah originally had a mutual attraction towards each other, their relationship began to deteriorate because of jealousy and trust issues. However, this has not stopped Zakiyah from persistently pursuing Paulie, much to his dismay and annoyance. Zakiyah's behaviour towards Paulie has made her come off as desperate at times.
  • The Dragon: For Paulie. Zakiyah has consistently served as one of Paulie's primary allies throughout the course of the game. The two had a strong bond since the beginning of the game and they built immediate trust in one another. They are also considered to be a showmance as the two have a mutual attraction for each other. Zakiyah has expressed Undying Loyalty to Paulie on numerous occasions and how it would be very difficult for her to turn her back on him in the game.
    • Co-Dragons: Along with Nicole, Paul, Corey, Victor and James. They are all working alongside Paulie in the game, however, Zakiyah was one of Paulie's closest allies because she was in a showmance with him.
    • Devour the Dragon: Paulie has been devising a strategy against Zakiyah, expressing to fellow houseguests his belief that she poses a threat to his game due to her emotional nature and tendency to instigate conflicts. Paulie seems to be on board with evicting Zakiyah eventually, although Paulie does have bigger fish to fry at the moment (bigger targets to get out).
    • Dragon with an Agenda: As of recently, Zakiyah has started to distrust Paulie in the game and has come to the realization that Paulie may not be as loyal to her as she has been to him the entire time. Zakiyah has even mentioned to some of the other houseguests about Paulie's disloyalty to her and that she has to be careful with what she says to Paulie until she is sure that she can trust him. During her recent Diary Room sessions, Zakiyah has become aware of Paulie's lack of loyalty. This realization occurred when she observed that he promptly withdrew from the Week 7 HOH Endurance competition after she had already dropped out. It is currently uncertain whether Zakiyah is merely utilizing Paulie or if she still maintains a certain level of trust in him.
    • Noble Top Enforcer: Zakiyah exhibits a higher level of amiability compared to Paulie. However, despite this, Zakiyah is a Clingy Jealous Girl and a Lovable Alpha Bitch. She can be very catty, bitchy and opinionated, especially regarding the other houseguests. Zakiyah exhibits a greater inclination towards submissiveness in comparison to Paulie, who displays a pronounced tendency towards dominance. Zakiyah has expressed disagreement on multiple occasions regarding Paulie's behavior, resulting in several arguments or conflicts between the two individuals. Many of the houseguests have warned Zakiyah about Paulie's bad attitude, but she still cannot stop being loyal to him. Zakiyah's unwavering loyalty to Paulie consistently prevails, primarily due to her perceived inability to assert herself and refuse his requests.
    • Villainous Friendship: Zakiyah and Paulie have developed a strong and intimate friendship since the beginning of the game, characterized by their shared villainous tendencies. The two individuals exhibited a mutual attraction and formed a romantic relationship within the context of the game. Despite the presence of tensions within their relationship, it is evident that both individuals still harbor genuine fondness for one another.
  • Extreme Doormat: For Paulie. Despite the horrible way that Paulie treated her, Zakiyah still submitted to Paulie and did what he wanted. Zakiyah would let Paulie talk over her and put her down but she did not seem to have any backbone to stand up to him and defend herself. Despite the derogatory remarks that Paulie directed towards her during their conflicts and disputes, Zakiyah steadfastly expressed unwavering loyalty to him. It was only after her nomination and subsequent eviction that she finally came to the realization that Paulie had been manipulating her throughout.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Zakiyah demonstrates a conspicuous propensity for experiencing jealousy. She experiences feelings of envy towards any female houseguest who happens to show Paulie any form of attention. Zakiyah's propensity for jealousy has resulted in complications within her relationship with Paulie, leading to frequent disagreements. It could be argued that Zakiyah is easily the most jealous female houseguest of the season.
  • Grew a Spine: After spending the entire game being nothing but a doormat for Paulie and doing everything that he says, Zakiyah finally has the guts and the strength to call Paulie out when he enters jury. Paulie proclaims that Zakiyah never had his back and would constantly play the victim to make Paulie look bad. Zakiyah tells Paulie that they didn't have to do anything of a romantic nature while still in the game but Paulie insisted because he was using the romantic angle with her while he was manipulating and using her. This deeply upset Zakiyah because she confirmed that Paulie was playing her the entire time and was plotting to get her out of the house. Zakiyah confidently communicates to Paulie that she possesses intelligence and cannot be easily influenced by him, emphasizing that their current absence from the game renders his attempts at manipulation ineffective. The aforementioned incident sparked a contentious dispute between Paulie and Zakiyah, with Da'Vonne and Bridgette serving as witnesses to the entire altercation.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Da'Vonne. Zakiyah has stated that Da'Vonne was her closest ally and friend in the house. The two instantly bonded from the beginning: Da'Vonne has stated that she views Zakiyah like a younger sister and that Zakiyah in return looked up to Da'Vonne like an older sister.
  • Hot for Teacher: Zakiyah is a preschool teacher and is undoubtedly very attractive, with Paul even noting he wished he had a teacher who looked like her when he was in school.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Her demise was orchestrated by Bridgette, who had been subjected to malicious bullying for an extended period of time. Bridgette, in collaboration with her newfound ally Michelle, devised a strategic plan to oust Zakiyah from the game in order to undermine her alliance with Paulie, who is now her romantic partner, after he chose not to employ the veto power to rescue her. Bridgette successfully garnered the support of her former allies Paul, Victor, and James, strategically orchestrating the eviction of Zakiyah in order to weaken Paulie's alliance. Even following Bridgette's departure, she continued to bear the responsibility for Victor's second Head of Household reign, which resulted in the eviction of Paulie and the dissolution of the all-male alliance known as The Executives. In a notable development, Zakiyah, who previously advocated for the isolation of Bridgette, has now found herself isolated by her former friends Da'Vonne and Michelle. This change in dynamics can be attributed to their desire to distance themselves from Paulie, who has exhibited disrespectful behavior towards women and treated Zakiyah in a negative manner.
  • The Load: Although Zakiyah has the potential to be a good competitor, she has proven that she is weak or useless in winning competitions. Zakiyah expresses her dissatisfaction with her inability to succeed in competitions, which leads her to feel like a failure.
  • Lovable Alpha Bitch: Zakiyah can be pretty catty, mean spirited and jealous at times but for the most part, she is still likeable and a Nice Girl.
  • Love Hungry: Zakiyah seems desperate for Paulie's love and affections. She will do anything to gain his attention, even if she has to constantly throw herself at him. Zakiyah almost comes off as the second coming of Danielle Murphree (from Big Brother 14) with the way she acts around Paulie.
  • Love Makes You Crazy: Zakiyah displayed a notable manifestation of irrational conduct when confronted with Paulie. She ultimately prioritized his welfare over her own strategic position in the game, demonstrating a selfless commitment. She exhibited signs of excessive reliance, an intense attachment, and heightened emotional sensitivity towards Paulie. She allowed her irrational feelings of jealousy towards Paulie's interactions with the other female houseguests to impede her ability to engage in rational and logical reasoning.
  • Love Makes You Dumb: The phenomenon of love impairing rational decision-making is exemplified in Zakiyah's conviction that Paulie's devotion to her would serve as a safeguard against any potential acts of betrayal or abandonment on his part, particularly in favor of the male alliance. Paulie had been manipulating Zakiyah for an extended period, exploiting her naivety and trust in him. When Zakiyah becomes cognizant of Paulie's act of betrayal and his scheme to eliminate her, her strategic approach to the game has already been undermined, given that the majority of the houseguests had already made up their minds to vote her out. It is clear as day that Zakiyah was completely blinded by her infatuation or obsession with Paulie that she didn't even realize that he was playing her and manipulating her emotions before it was too late.
  • Mad Love: Zakiyah was clearly obsessed and in love (more like lust) with Paulie, but going by their relationship and interactions with each other, it's clear that Paulie didn't feel exactly the same way about her. In fact, Paulie had expressed to certain houseguests that he perceived Zakiyah as excessively dependent, clingy, jealous, and possessive. He believed that her actions would provoke annoyance and irritation for him. Their relationship was largely imbalanced, as Paulie was primarily utilizing Zakiyah to advance his own game, while Zakiyah harbored genuine emotions for Paulie that were not reciprocated equally.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Zakiyah stands out as one of the most aesthetically appealing female houseguests of the current season. She also demonstrates a penchant for showcasing her physical attributes through the selection of attire that tends to be more revealing, often opting for tops that expose her waist or midriff.
  • Odd Friendship: With Michelle. Zakiyah and Michelle appear to have contrasting personalities that may hinder their ability to form a friendship. Michelle exudes a nerdy and Girl Next Door persona, while Zakiyah embodies a hip and fashionable demeanor.
  • Out of Focus: Zakiyah's portrayal on the television episodes has been lacking in focus, as she is primarily shown during competitions and discussions related to gameplay with her alliance members. She doesn't begin to come into focus until Paulie considers forming an alliance of his own.
  • Playing the Victim Card: Zakiyah frequently resorts to playing the victim. It was one of the contributing factors that led to Paulie's weariness of her presence, prompting him to conspire with Victor and Paul in order to orchestrate her downfall. Paulie openly confronted Zakiyah, expressing his desire to distance himself from her within the house. This decision was motivated by his perception of her consistently adopting a victim mentality, as well as her excessively dependent and clingy behavior towards him.
  • Sassy Black Woman: Zakiyah exhibits a notable level of snarkiness and sassiness when she chooses to do so. She exhibits a propensity for expressing her thoughts and possesses firm convictions, particularly in relation to the fellow occupants of the house.
  • The Slow Walk: Does this as strategy in the second HOH competition to avoid elimination, which annoys Paul, who wanted her to get across the course faster and put the berry she was holding in the compartment to improve Big Sister's chances of winning.
  • Southern Belle: Zakiyah hails from Charlotte, North Carolina and she's from the very heart of the Southern United States. She sort of downplays this because she doesn't exhibit the classic characteristics of this trope and she doesn't have a strong Southern accent either.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Zakiyah was so obsessed with Paulie that she would literally follow him everywhere around the house. She exhibited traits of being a Clingy Jealous Girl, constantly monitoring Paulie's interactions with other female housemates, particularly Tiffany and Natalie, in order to ensure he was not engaging in flirtatious or conversational behavior with them. When Paulie and Tiffany engaged in private discussions, Zakiyah would actively monitor their interactions, often intruding and attempting to disrupt their conversations.
  • Twofer Token Minority: Zakiyah is notable as one of the two Black women who have been selected to participate in this season. Zakiyah is considered this because she is Africa-American (an ethnic or racial minority group) and she is also a woman. The other Black woman cast this season is Da'Vonne.
  • Yandere: For Paulie. Zakiyah was so obsessed with Paulie that she seemed to care more about him than about the possibility of winning the game and winning the money. She exhibits traits of a Clingy Jealous Girl, becoming irritated or jealous whenever Paulie engages in flirtatious or even casual conversations with other female houseguests. She would also cast a disapproving gaze towards any female houseguest, specifically Tiffany, Natalie, and Bronte, who happened to be in close proximity to Paulie. An even more specific instance occurred when Zakiyah exhibited intense jealousy towards Paulie's connection with Tiffany. She would actively disrupt the bonding moments or conversations between Paulie and Tiffany, as she perceived Tiffany as a threat to her own relationship with Paulie. Zakiyah exhibited a strong inclination to single out Tiffany and advocate for her removal from the house due to feelings of irritation and perceived threat stemming from Paulie's close bond with Tiffany. Zakiyah harbored the belief that Paulie might choose Tiffany instead of her.

  • Badass Boast: Da'Vonne has consistently exhibited a strong sense of self-assurance, fearlessly confronting individuals when she perceives dishonesty or deception. This unwavering confidence has occasionally resulted in negative consequences for her gameplay. She has issued threats towards individuals residing in her household whom she perceives as untrustworthy or engaging in suspicious activities. Da'Vonne's level of confrontational behavior has noticeably decreased this season compared to the previous season. She continues to exhibit a strong inclination towards expressing her opinions.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Towards Zakiyah. Da'Vonne has openly expressed her perception of Zakiyah as a younger sibling. She has expressed a sentiment of consistently experiencing a strong emotional connection with Zakiyah, perceiving numerous shared characteristics between them. As a result, Da'Vonne felt the need to look out for Zakiyah during the game and would give her advice on how to behave at times (especially with Paulie).
  • Brutal Honesty: Da'Vonne exhibits a remarkable level of honesty, frankness, and bluntness, coupled with her unwavering conviction in expressing her opinions. She never hesitates in speaking the truth and calling people out when it is necessary. An example of this is when she called out Frank on his harassment of all of the female houseguests in the house. Da'Vonne assertively confronted Frank and candidly exposed the reality of his behavior. She displayed this exam frankness and brutal honesty last season, specifically with Audrey, but unfortunately, it got her into a lot of trouble and ended up getting her evicted early in the game.
  • Cassandra Truth: Da'Vonne warned James that they have to go after the showmances (minus him and Natalie of course). James neglected to heed her counsel and dismissed her, with the exception of also dismissing Zakiyah and Paulie after Da'Vonne's departure. However, James was blindly loyal to Nicole believing she had his back when when her only loyalty was to Corey. Da'Vonne was spot on in her advice as couples dominated the game this season.
  • Closer to Earth: Da'Vonne was one of the most strategic and logical players, despite her occasional Hot-Blooded-ness. She could be perceived as the maternal figure within the team and the voice of reason, as she demonstrated a keen understanding of the dynamics within the house and the underlying motivations of her fellow houseguests. Furthermore, Da'Vonne has exhibited a heightened sense of composure and pragmatism in the current season. Notably, she has also provided astute strategic guidance to several fellow houseguests, including Zakiyah, Nicole, Tiffany, and Michelle. Da'Vonne's popularity has experienced a notable surge in the current season due to her successful efforts in tempering her previously volatile and confrontational demeanor.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Comes with being a Sassy Black Woman. Da'Vonne exhibits a strong inclination towards sarcasm, snarkiness, and expressing her opinions. Some would even argue that Da'Vonne is the source of humor on the show, especially since her DR sessions are so animated and upbeat.
  • The Determinator: Da'Vonne is very determined and persistent. She exhibits unwavering perseverance in the pursuit of her goals, refusing to surrender under any circumstances. Despite the gravity of the situation, she perseveres in her efforts to maintain a sense of optimism and faith in the eventual improvement of circumstances. Da'Vonne exhibits a tendency to hold onto past grievances, refusing to let go of any wrongs committed against her. For example, when Frank harassed her by inappropriately slapping her on the butt, she stuck to her guns and kept insisting that Frank should leave. Despite her determination, this trait never seemed to translate to her ability to win competitions. Despite her resolute personality and unwavering determination,
  • Genki Girl: Da'Vonne exhibits a highly extroverted demeanor, characterized by her exuberance and propensity for being vocally expressive. The individual in question exhibits a high level of hyperactivity and can be characterized as a Large Ham. Da'Vonne possesses an exceptional level of energy and enthusiasm, resulting in her widespread recognition as a prominent internet meme. Her distinctive mannerisms and facial expressions have contributed significantly to her online popularity.
  • Graceful Loser: Despite being blindsided and eliminated through a backdoor eviction, Da'Vonne displayed remarkable composure and acceptance towards her departure. It doesn't mean that she didn't feel hurt or betrayed in any way though. In her exit interview, she expressed her well wishes to all of her fellow houseguests in the game, while also revealing her support for James, Michelle, and Zakiyah to emerge as the victors.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Played Straight and how! GOOD GOD, Da'Vonne exhibits a noticeable change in demeanor when she becomes angry. It requires minimal effort to provoke her into a state of anger, and she possesses an exceptionally passionate and fiery temperament. An illustration of the rapid escalation of her temper is evident in the jury house segment, wherein Da'Vonne engaged in a significant altercation with Paulie. Paulie and Da'Vonne exchanged personal attacks and insults at one another, but as soon as Paulie brought up her daughter and her parenting skills as a mother, DA'VONNE COMPLETELY LOST IT ON PAULIE. She became a downright Hysterical Woman who looked like she had lost her sense of rationale and sanity. After Paulie committed the error of mentioning Da'Vonne's daughter, she confronted him directly, displaying clear signs of intending to physically retaliate against him. Da'Vonne was so irrationally angry and heated at Paulie and the fight became so intense between the two that the producers had to step in and try to stop the fight as well as calm a very enraged Da'Vonne down. That footage just showed that one shouldn't piss Da'Vonne off because she can sure get angry quick like a wildfire!
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Zakiyah. The two individuals exhibited a strong bond of camaraderie and friendship within the household. Da'Vonne openly acknowledged her perception of Zakiyah as a younger sibling and expressed her constant inclination to safeguard and advocate for her within the context of the game. It was evident that Da'Vonne harbored deep affection for Zakiyah on a personal level, as demonstrated by her emotional response upon being evicted and witnessing Zakiyah's farewell message.
  • Hollywood California: Da'Vonne is originally from Inglewood, California. Inglewood is a city that is located within the southwestern part of Los Angeles County. It is also located in the South Bay region of the Greater Los Angeles Area.
  • Hot-Blooded: Despite attempting to suppress this behavior during her second appearance on the show, it is evident that her short fuse played a significant role in the eviction of Da'Vonne in Season 17. This characteristic becomes apparent as early as Week 1, when she becomes irritated with Paul's perceived lack of teamwork in the initial three competitions. However, she chooses to express her frustration solely in her Diary Room entries. However, thus far, Da'Vonne has demonstrated a newfound understanding from the previous season, opting to express her frustrations through her Diary Room entries instead of engaging in arguments with the individuals who have caused her frustration.
  • I'm Not Here to Make Friends: Da'Vonne's lack of enthusiasm towards competing in a team can be attributed to her desire for redemption after being evicted in the previous season. This trope is evident in her statement that she had not made an effort to learn the names of half of her fellow houseguests, as demonstrated when she mistakenly confused Paul and Paulie during the selection for the first competition.
  • In-Series Nickname: "Mama Day". Da'Vonne has frequently expressed how much she dislikes that nickname on the live feeds.
  • Large Ham: Played Straight and Played for Laughs. Da'Vonne is a such a HUGE personality and everything about her is grand, big, large and exaggerated. Her expressions, the way that she talks and her movements are very over the top and excessive and Da'Vonne never does anything small. In fact, she's so expressive during her DR sessions that she has become a major internet meme because of her highly larger than life and expressive personality.
  • Lovable Alpha Bitch: Da'Vonne exhibits characteristics of this trope, as she can display cattiness, bitchiness, and a tendency to engage in arguments and confrontations. Despite this, she possesses a commendable sense of humor. Hence, even when Da'Vonne displays behavior that may be perceived as unpleasant, she manages to maintain a likable and humorous demeanor. Michelle's attempt to convey her thoughts through snarkiness and sarcasm is met with criticism due to her excessively abrasive and aggressive demeanor.
  • Magical Negro: Subverted. On her initial season, she assumed the role of the African American confidante to Jason, Meg, Jackie, and Audrey. She exhibited a greater level of support towards them and their games. She displayed a high level of admiration towards her friends and exhibited a willingness to prioritize their well-being over her own chances of winning, which ultimately led to her eviction as the second houseguest. In the current season, it appears that she is not as supportive of her White houseguests, despite having aligned herself with Nicole and Michelle for a brief period of time. Before Nicole betrayed Da'Vonne, there existed a slight sense of camaraderie between them, as evidenced by Da'Vonne's display of a protective instinct towards Nicole. They even engaged in discussions about forming a Final 2 alliance. It is worth mentioning that the individuals selected by her to form her team predominantly consist of individuals belonging to racial and ethnic minority groups, with the exception of Paul, who has a Russian and Armenian ethnic background.
  • Motor Mouth: Da'Vonne talks a lot, especially when she gets excited or heated about something. Once Da'Vonne gets going, she cannot seem to stop.
  • Rejected Apology: To Frank in Week 3, by way of playing it off as if she accepted Frank's apology for his harrassing behavior, simply because he has the power over the nominations (even though Bridgette was the HOH). Da'Vonne makes it clear, in a DR, that he's her next target.
  • The Rival:
    • Da'Vonne quickly becomes frustrated with Paul because of what she considers to be his attempts to take control in the first two competitions. However that mellowed out and she and Paul got along afterwaord.
    • In the first couple of weeks, she also started working to convince the house to go after Tiffany.
    • She also very quickly forms a mutual animosity toward Frank, someone whom she stated was one of her favorite past players up until she became the target of his harrassment.
    • This later turned to Nicole as Da'Vonne learned that Nicole threw her under the bus to Frank.
    • Finally, she later disliked Paulie ever since Paulie didn't use the Veto to save Zakiyah. Things turned heated, when Paulie and Zakiyah started to bond in the jury house much to Da'Vonne's dismay. In turn Paulie and Da'Vonne got heated in the jury house causing him to bring up her daughter.
  • Sassy Black Woman: Though her modus operandi in competing again is trying to avoid being this, given it hampered her game in Season 17, where her persona hindered her gameplay. However, her inherent "chick from Inglewood" identity occasionally resurfaces. In a DR featured in the Week 3 nomination episode, she expressed how tough it was to keep her cool when dealing with Frank's misogynistic behavior, out of fear that she would be seen as a "loose cannon" and a "liability".
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Despite Da'Vonne's lack of intention to do so (as her focus was on gameplay rather than seeking television exposure), the editors exhibit a preference for featuring Da'Vonne prominently in the show. This is evident through her extensive diary room segments and the significant amount of screen time she receives in the jury house segments, making her one of the most prominently showcased contestants this season. Executive Producer Allison Grodner also called Da'Vonne at one point "our star" of the show and felt terrible for her after she got evicted.
  • Team Mom: She's a single mother who has a baby daughter named Kadence. She is revealed to be the only mother of the season. Consequently, she assumes a certain degree of maternal responsibility within the household. Da'Vonne demonstrates exceptional maternal instincts, as evidenced by her passionate reaction when Paulie mentioned his daughter and criticized Da'Vonne for setting a negative example through her behavior.
  • Twofer Token Minority: Da'Vonne is one of two Black women cast this season along with Zakiyah. Da'Vonne is considered to fit this trope because she is African-American (an ethnic or racial minority group) and she is also a woman.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Says something like this in a DR entry during the Toezarks Power of Veto competition, when she gets sprayed with toe fungi while trying to find letters for the word puzzle, obscuring her from uncovering the letter she's holding.
  • You Look Familiar: Da'Vonne was featured in Todrick Hall's flash-mob of Beyoncé's End Of Time which was shot in a Target store (around the 2:51 mark Da'Vonne can be clearly seen). Beyoncé actually shared this video.
