Bikini Bottom's Heroes

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/protags.PNG
From left to right: Mr. Krabs, Patrick, SpongeBob, and Squidward.
The four heroes tasked with saving Bikini Bottom.
    In general
  • Big Damn Heroes: SpongeBob, Patrick, and Mr. Krabs come back to the Krusty Krab in the nick of time, saving Squidward from the Hash Slinging Slasher clone. Additionally, Squidward himself has a moment of this in Glove World where he saves SpongeBob and Patrick from the Left and Right Glovey clones after they get surrounded.
  • Blinding Camera Flash: Patrick must use the Clam Cam to stun or scare off Jelliens in Goofy Goobers. Squidward must use the Clam Cam to reveal and scare off the Alaskan Bull Worm and Parasitic Worm in Rock Bottom.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: From getting electrocuted to death, to getting devoured, to just being cruelly ripped apart, or even getting erased from existence, the cast are capable of dying in very gruesome ways at the hands of their enemies if they fail.
  • Jump Physics: Some levels will disable the ability to jump while others allow it. You also gain a double jump during the final boss.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: The Barg'N Mart and Goo Lagoon are two levels where the player will don the fake glasses to disguise themselves as Jelliens. And it works on everyone, except Jellien Dennis.

    SpongeBob SquarePants
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/spongebob.jpeg

The pineapple-dwelling sea sponge himself who needs no introduction.

  • 11th-Hour Superpower: When the gang gets to the Overlord's lair in the Rock Bottom Museum and their plan of "Just shoot the Overlord." doesn't work, SpongeBob has the idea to harness the power of music. Cue a final battle where it's Goofy Goober SpongeBob versus the Overlord.
  • Distressed Dude: Serves as this for the first level, Glove World, in which he gets kidnapped by Left Glovey.
  • Double Jump: He gains this as part of his Goofy Goober powers during the final battle.
  • Fragile Speedster: He's the fastest Player Character, but he can't run while carrying heavy objects.
  • Nice Guy: Just like in the original show, he's a pretty kind sponge who doesn't have a single bad bone in his body.
  • The Power of Rock: Harnesses this for the final battle against the Overlord.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Despite facing Jelliens able to easily tear him apart, SpongeBob manages to outsmart and outskill them. Notable examples include his encounter with Jellien Larry, him being able to evade Jellien Mrs. Puff, and his fight with the Overlord.

    Patrick Star
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/patrick_4.jpg
Starfishman in Patrick's imagination
Starfishman's actual appearance
SpongeBob's best friend and neighbor; a pink sea-star who isn't the brightest bulb.
  • The Atoner: He regrets all of the horrible things he casually did to SpongeBob and wishes to make up for them in any way possible by being the best friend he can.
  • Berserk Button:
    • As the Nerdy Employee and Doodle Patrick find out the hard way, do not hurt his friend SpongeBob
    • Don't bring up all the times he's been a Jerkass to his friend either. He already knows he's screwed up and he doesn't care for others to keep hammering it in.
    • Don't mock his allies either. Chef Prowler mocking Mr. Krabs' demise prompts Patrick to give him a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Goofball and dimwit he may be, but you DO NOT threaten SpongeBob's life around him, period.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Patrick decided to go to Jellyfish Fields to eliminate Prince Jellien. However, as the level description itself points out, this ends up leaving Patrick on the most strenuous run for his life ever as he basically deals with every type of Jellien there at once.
  • Good Old Fisticuffs: While SpongeBob, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs all rely on some form of weaponry to fight, all Patrick needs are his fists.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: Patrick believes that both he and Doodle Patrick are similar in the sense that they were terrible friends to SpongeBob and DoodleBob. However, Patrick states his intention to atone for his transgressions and calls out Doodle Patrick for everything negative he said about him, even saying he would've never killed his friend.
  • One-Man Army: As Starfishman, he's able to defeat a good chunk of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy's Rogues Gallery one after another in the Mermalair.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: Patrick has a moment of this with Doodle Patrick, where he regains the upperhand and essentially tells him off, while also pointing out that he's no better than him.
  • Stone Wall: Patrick is the slowest playable character in general, but is still able to run while carrying heavy objects.
  • Super-Powered Alter Ego: Starfishman. While to outsiders, he merely is seen as Patrick in his underwear, but from Patrick's POV, he's dressed to save the day, and packs a MEAN punch.
  • Too Dumb to Live: While Patrick in Around the Clock is smarter than his usual depiction, as shown by him managing to navigate through the Tunnel of Doom maze to find SpongeBob, he has some dumb moments that would've definitely gotten him killed if not for someone else saving him. One example is the Tentacle Acres mission where Squidward allows him to take the lead and Patrick's first decision is to order fried oysters from a Jellien guard, which thankfully Squidward doesn't allow. Another is during Goo Lagoon where he siphons precious gasoline from the gang's boat so he could put mayonnaise in the fuel tank instead; an act that strands him, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs in hostile territory and prompts Mr. Krabs to give him the beating of his life.

    Squidward Tentacles
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/squidward.png
SpongeBob and Patrick's next-door neighbor.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Compared to his usual demeanour in the show, Squidward is even more of a Jerk with a Heart of Gold, being far more concerned for his friends despite his narcissistic tendencies showing up most of the time. Soon as he realizes the danger they're all in, he musters his courage and repeatedly saves them from Jelliens.
  • Hypocrite: At 10pm, Squidward tells Spongebob and Patrick that they need to gather all their valuables and leave the moment shit starts going down. However Spongebob and Patrick end up getting put into situations they can't run away from without being forced to make a Sadistic Choice (Spongebob being forced into a mad dash to save his beloved pet from Evil Doppelgangers of his friends in the former situation and Patrick being ambushed just as he was about to head back and forced into a Battle in the Center of the Mind for survival in the latter), while Squidward risks his life against the invading Big Lenny to get his paintings, clarinet, and a statue of himself, things he doesn't at all need.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's still narcissistic and a bit of a jerk, but he's less antagonistic to SpongeBob and Patrick, and even saves them from Right Glovey and Left Glovey when they're surrounded.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Squidward jokes about the possibility of Krabs, Spongebob, and Patrick being torn apart by the Jelliens. Immediately afterwards, a Jellien Hash-Slinging Slasher visits the Krusty Krab and tries to kill him. He even Lampshades it once he realizes who's outside.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Not only does Squidward risk his life to get materialistic possessions while a dangerous murder-happy jellyfish roams around his house, but he chooses to get his heavy statue of himself, which greatly slows him down and practically guarantees death if Big Lenny spots him.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: The secret ending shows him still working at the Krusty Krab and has probably become the manager. When he, SpongeBob and Patrick visit Mr. Krabs's grave, he's seen wrapping his arm around SpongeBob.

    Mr. Krabs
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crabs.png
The greedy owner of the Krusty Krab, who is the first to catch on the Jellien invasion.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Mr. Krabs is a lot less greedy and selfish than he is in the show, caring for his friends' safety and ditching his money when he fails to save his daughter Pearl at the start of the game, ultimately performing a Heroic Sacrifice to free the abducted citizens and to be with his daughter after her death.
  • Fatal Family Photo: A rather dark, zigzagged version of the trope. All he had left of his daughter was a picture. Later on, he found her headless corpse, which prompted him to commit sacrifice so that he could be with her again.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: To defeat the Overlord, he covers himself in mayo before feeding himself to the Overlord while using the Power of Rock inside of them, blowing up the Overlord and ending the invasion at the cost of his own life.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: It's heavily implied that while Mr. Krabs was gathering his money at 3451 Anchor Way, the pink Jellien abducted Pearl and created a clone of her. This not only got Pearl captured, but by the time the heroes reach the Rock Bottom museum, she's already dead and all that's left is her headless corpse.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Does this to Patrick in Goo Lagoon after he messes with the gas of the car.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: Despite his efforts, he's too late to save Pearl as her head was eaten by the Overlord prior to the main band getting to the Museum.
  • Too Dumb to Live: In the exact same boat as Squidward. Mr. Krabs collecting his money while Pearl is walking around could be justified by the belief that he's not aware she's a murder-happy Jellien clone (although unlikely since Krabs would likely see that she's a clone at some point). Him still continuing to collect his cash when the pinkie appears and starts patrolling the house note ? Not so much.

Jelliens

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jelliens.PNG
From left to right: A Pinky, a Prowler, a Squirter, an Angler, a Warhead, a Belcher, a Red Menace, a Nestler, and an Alpha. Not pictured: A Volter, the Suited Prowler, a Boxing Menace, the Overlord, and Chef Prowler.
A species of alien jellyfishes that had already invaded Bikini Bottom a long time ago. Now they're back, more dangerous than before.
    In general
  • Adaptational Badass: While the Jelliens in the original show were no slouches, they become even more powerful here with a wider variety of caste systems to where they look like a full-fledged eusocial species with each caste serving a certain purpose.
  • Adaptational Villainy: The worst the Jelliens did in the original show was deceive people, clone them when their backs were turned, and trap them in cocoons. Here, not only do the Jelliens take over and clone everyone, they're A LOT more ruthless and willing to actually kill people.
  • Ax-Crazy: The Jelliens are a race of homocidal aliens, willing to massacre and kill lots of people, presumably for no reason other than their own sadistic amusement.
  • Benevolent Boss: They surprisingly are like this to the clones. If Plankton and Dennis are anything to go by, the Jelliens are seemingly fine with their subjects having their own free will.
  • Berserk Button: For some strange reason, as shown in the Barg N'Mart level, both Jelliens and clones alike are not a big fan of thieves. If you try to leave the store without paying, everyone will be pissed off and immediately try to kill you, including the Chef Prowler. They're also not a big fan of pedophiles.
  • Blinding Camera Flash: This is how Patrick defends against the Jelliens in the Goody Goober level, although Volters are said to be immune to this.
  • Canon Foreigner: Aside from the Overlord and the Pinkies, all the Jelliens that aren't clones were created specifically for this game.
  • Electric Jellyfish: Every one of the Jelliens (that can generate it of course) causes bright flashing electricity upon zapping you. This is even exploited in Goo Lagoon, where Squidward tricks Pinkies into shocking generators to recharge them.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: As shown in the Barg N Mart level, they have no tolerance for child predators, and they are even willing to kill any clones suspected of being one.
  • Master Race: They see themselves like this. Throughout the game, they will attempt to either clone any non-Jellien lifeform and make them into a Jellien, or they'll kill them.
  • One-Hit Kill: Almost all of them bring about an instant death should they catch you.
  • Pædo Hunt: If you bump into the child clone in the Barg N'Mart level, everyone present, which includes Chef Prowler, will chase you down, implying that even the Jelliens despise paedos.
  • Slasher Smile: Some of the Jelliens will give one in their game over screen after killing the player.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: The weakness of all Jelliens is mayo.
  • Would Hurt a Child: In the beginning cutscene of Puff's Boating School level, an angler catches a kid trying to sneak away and swiftly zaps and kills him. They're also more than willing to kill SpongeBob and Patrick, who both suffer Vague Age. And lastly, we see a cloned child in the Barg'N Mart, showing that the Jelliens have no qualms with devouring kids.

    Pinkies
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pinky_3451.png
The standard Jellien Mook.
  • Butt-Monkey: Seems to be little respected by the other Jelliens. The Jellien Hash-Slinging Slasher grabs and uses it as a battering ram, and the Overlord itself shoots them as projectiles when trying to kill SpongeBob during the Final Boss.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: A poor pinkie ends up being on the receiving end of this from Doodle Patrick, getting stabbed to death and erased by the magic pencil.
  • Cute But Deadly: As adorable as these things are, they're still deadly creatures that can get you indirectly killed.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: In ???, during the Krusty Krab segment, they can stack up and stunlock the player due to an oversight in their AI. Update 2 fixed this.
  • The Goomba: The most basic Jellien type, and the only one incapable of directly killing the protagonists, at least in every level but Mrs Puff's Boating School.
  • Helpful Mook: A pinkie serves as this within the Goo Lagoon level, as the player uses him to power up the generators in the Sand Maze and continue further into the level.
  • High-Voltage Death: One Pinkie has a non-lethal sting incapable of actually harming the player. However, as seen in Puff's Boating School level, an entire hive of Pinkies are more than capable of killing you.
  • The Paralyzer: Causes this if it hits you.

    Red Menaces
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/redmenace.jpg

Red Jelliens with horns.

  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: While this technically could fit almost any enemy, this is particularly used against the Red Menaces in the Industrial Park. They immediately take interest in Mr. Krabs upon spotting him, allowing the crustacean to easily lure them away from the Mayo towers.
  • Cute But Deadly: They're similar to Pinkies in cuteness factor, even with the devil horns, except these Jelliens WILL kill you upon touching you.
  • High-Voltage Death: As stated by Potty, these guys are capable of emitting deadly shocks of electricity comparable to the dangerous Big Lenny.
  • Satanic Archetype: Fitting for these Jelliens given that they're red and they have horns on their heads, resembling a certain someone. They're literally called Red Menaces.
  • You Are Already Dead: In the Jellyfish rooms of the Tunnel of Glove's maze, if you step on the pressure plates and release the Jelliens, then, as the game itself tells you, you are doomed. There's NO escaping them, period.

    Warheads
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/warhead_4.png
some caption text
Jelliens who dwell in hives, and only attack if the player gets too close.

    Nestlers
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nestler.png
Jelliens who attack their enemies by burrowing underneath and then popping out of the ground.
  • Beast in the Maze: There's a section in Tentacle Acres where you have to make your way through a maze, where a Nestler is lurking somewhere. Better hope you don't run into him.
  • Fast Tunnelling: Its method of attacking.
  • High-Voltage Death: As one so kindly demonstrates on a wooden cutout of Patrick, Nestlers are able to shock their prey to death.
  • Stay on the Path: In a lot of levels, they're placed just off the main pathway as the way to prevent you from wandering away.
  • Wormsign: How you can tell one is approaching you: its tunnel is just BARELY visible in the darkness.
  • You Are Already Dead: This applies to the Nestlers behind the bambo struts in the Goo Lagoon level as you're walking to and from the sand castle. If you dare walk outside the bamboo and disturb one, they're gonna quickly catch you in no time and kill you.

    Prowlers
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_prowler.png
Three-eyed, big-headed Jelliens capable of being translucent.
  • High-Voltage Death: It's unknown if these guys are stronger than Red Menaces or not, but they also kill effectively by shocking their prey to death.
  • Invisible Monsters: Barely fits this trope once it gets dark enough. You can barely make them out in most dark environments, and have to pay close attention to their silhouettes, lest you bump into them.
  • Mind Control: Prowlers apparently have the ability to read and alter the minds of their prey, as seen in Patrick's Rock where one forces Patrick into a hellish battle within his own head as it tries to take him over
  • Warm-Up Boss: One serves as this for the end of Patrick's Rock, acting as the game's first boss and a tutorial for Starfishman.

    Anglers
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_2021_03_21_221237.png
Jelliens with anglerfish lures.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Sort of. It takes a while for them to register what they're looking at since they're explicitly dumb, so this trope applies if you're fast enough to get out of their sight.
  • Hates Being Touched: Seems.to be something they despise, even from clones. If a disguised Squidward touches one, they'll immediately kill him.
  • High-Voltage Death: Like the Red Menaces, Prowlers, and Nestlers, they are able to deliver lethal shocks to their prey.
  • "Instant Death" Radius: Get caught in their lights and stay there, and they'll kill you almost immediately.

    Volters
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/volter.jpg
Jelliens who at first stay underground, but once you get close, they'll pop out and fire a bolt before retreating back underground.
  • Don't Touch It, You Idiot!: While their main ranged attack merely stuns you, physically touching them causes a lethal counterattack. Actually touching them prompts the game over screen to say this trope as a warning.
  • The Paralyzer: Volters fire electric bolts at the player, causing this if the bolt hits.
  • Shock and Awe: Their main form of attack is shooting a long-ranged bolt at you. The bolt itself cannot kill you, but the Jellien itself will if you get too close it.

    Belchers
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/belcher.png
Jelliens who hang from the ceiling and are identified by their hanging tendrils.

    Squirters
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/squirter.jpg
some caption text
Transluscent Jelliens who, as their name suggests, squirt goo at you.
  • Goddamned Bats: Their attacks annoy you rather than kill you sure, but they fire their goo every few seconds, hardly ever miss, follow you constantly, and have an annoyingly large detection range.
  • Interface Screw: What happens when their goo hits you, as unlike Pinkies, they're incapable of stinging.
  • Perpetual Smiler: They sport constant grins.

    Boxing Menaces
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boxer.PNG
Faster variants of the Red Menaces that wear boxing gloves.
  • Boxing Battler: How it attacks the player.
  • Elite Mooks: Faster than Red Menaces.
  • Good Ol D Fisticuffs: As mentioned in a death tip, unlike the regular Menaces, these guys don't sting their prey. Instead they prefer to brutally pummel them to death.
  • One-Hit Kill: All it takes is a single punch from these Jelliens to send you to the afterlife.
  • Red Boxing Gloves: Technically orange boxing gloves due to the Jelliens themselves already being red, but the trope still applies.
  • Satanic Archetype: As expected of these guys since they are just different versions of the Red Menaces.
  • Shield-Bearing Mook: In ???, in the Krusty Krab, they can team up and carry large shields, blocking them from being hit and absorbing quite a few shots before breaking.
  • Super-Speed: They move WAY faster than the regular menaces, practically guaranteeing you a game over if they spot you and start chasing you.

    Alphas
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alpha_1.png
Giant, green Jelliens.
  • Eaten Alive: It's not exactly shown, but based on the sounds after getting jumpscared by it, the Alpha seemingly devours you alive.
  • Elite Mooks: As the name would imply.
  • Groin Attack: The one in Goofy Goober's ends up on the receiving end of one of these.
  • Mighty Glacier: Alphas are easily the slowest mobile Jelliens, but are just as deadly as any other Jellien or clone.
  • Overlord Jr.: Literally. Alphas greatly resemble smaller and younger versions of the Overlord and are heavily implied to be this to the jelliens what alates are to eusocial animals like ants.
  • The Paralyzer: Upon spotting you, the Alpha will shoot out goo, which will block out your sight and leave you unable to move for a few seconds. If you're close enough to them to get hit by this in some levels, then you're probably gonna die.
  • Super-Toughness: As seen in the final level, Alphas are tough guys capable of taking multiple shots of mayo before dying.

    Suited Prowler
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/goofy_goober_1.png
A Prowler dressed as Goofy Goober.
  • High-Voltage Death: How he kills Patrick upon catching him.
  • Invisible Monsters: As expected since this IS still a Prowler after all. However they appear to be much better at this than their regular counterparts. While the regular Prowlers can barely be seen, the Suited Prowler is 100% invisible and undetectable in the darkness and they're only able to seen when they make themselves visible and charge at Patrick.
  • Mascot Villain: He's the mascot of a children's ice cream parlour sure, but he's far from friendly.
  • Mind Control: As a Prowler, he should be able to do this.

    Prince Jellien
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prince_jellien.png
A blue Jellien who dethroned King Jellyfish.
  • All There in the Manual: According to the digital manual, Prince Jellien was actually Friend, before he was cloned.
  • Body Horror: Unlike the other jellyfish that got captured and turned into Jelliens, Friend's body was altered entirely. He's much bigger and he has a set of sharp teeth.
  • Deadly Bath: Rather Deadly Shower, but the trope still applies: Prince Jellien gets killed whilst taking a shower due to Patrick filling his shower pipe with mayonnaise.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Is first seen in the post-level cutscene of Patrick's Rock before making his proper debut in Jellyfish Fields.
  • The Evil Prince: He easily qualifies due to being a Jellien and having dethroned King Jellyfish.
  • Face–Monster Turn: Prince Jellien was originally a jellyfish called Friend (formerly "No Name"), a blue jellyfish that SpongeBob really wanted to catch, and when Friend was in his net they become friends after stopping Mr. Krabs from extracting jellyfish jelly for profit in the episode Jellyfish Hunter, but has now been converted into a Jellien that Patrick is forced to Mercy Kill.
  • Mighty Glacier: He moves incredibly slow in his chase sequence and it's quite easy to outrun him. Truthfully, his minions all aiming to stop/kill you are more threatening than him.

Jellien Jellybee and Jellien Ol' Bessy
Jellien clones of Jellybee (a jellyfish that looks and acts like a honeybee) and Ol' Bessy (a jellyfish with a black and white color scheme akin to a cow).
  • Bee Afraid: Jellybee's a bee of a jellyfish, and is more than willing to wake Ol' Bessy up with a sting just to give Patrick trouble.
  • Big Guy, Little Guy: Ol' Bessy is the big guy and Jellybee is the little guy.
  • Interface Screw: Done by Ol' Bessy, in a similar way to the Squirters.
  • Self-Disposing Villain: After completing the boss fight with her, Ol' Bessy furiously charges around the battlefield, which causes a tree from above to fall and crush her.
  • Super-Persistent Predator: In the second and final phases of the boss fight, Jellybee and a bunch of other Jellien bees will relentless chase the player, forcing them to constantly be moving.
  • Turns Red: Literal example with Ol' Bessy once she's at Phase 3 of her fight.

    The Overlord
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1d98d40a_cb11_41bb_83f9_bcd58f25ed13.png
I can see it now, no substance to protect himself. His school is cornered with no foreseeable way to prevent me from snatching them up. The giggles will be gone, as fear will overcome his senses. Perhaps he’ll run in a blind panic and trip for my amusement. I do enjoy a show during dinner...
A gigantic green Jellien serving as the supreme leader of the species.
  • All There in the Manual: While the game itself never explains how the Overlord recovered from its defeat in the show (to the point one could think this is a different Overlord), the prologue in the game's files does explain the Overlord's return in great detail.
  • Ambiguous Gender: Like in the show, the Overlord's real gender was never specified, but it's implied to be female due to it being the creator of the Jelliens and the Alphas are heavily implied to be juvenile Overlords since the Jelliens in the game have a more fleshed out eusocial alien race motif and the juveniles would be the alates of the colony.
  • Bad Boss: Judging by the fact that it throws Pinkies at SpongeBob during its boss battle, it doesn't seem to care about its minions.
  • The Battle Didn't Count: The Overlord gets defeated by SpongeBob in-game, however in the following cutscene, the Overlord immediately recovers, apparently not harmed or injured at all.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: Despite being the main source of the troubles in the game, it finds itself in this with Doodle Patrick, who has his own plans. After the latter's defeat, it becomes the sole Big Bad.
  • Evil Overlord: Played straight, as its name is literally the Overlord.
  • Final Boss: The last enemy to be fought, if we don't count the "Chef's Clamity" minigame.
  • Knight of Cerebus: While the game sometimes goes into Black Comedy territory, the Overlord is overall treated as a serious threat and it starting the invasion is also what starts the horror aspect of the game.
  • Kryptonite-Proof Suit: The suit in this question being it's skin, which is completely immune to mayo. The only way to kill him is harming him on the inside.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: Unlike the other Jelliens, the Overlord's skin is so tough that it's completely immune to mayo. And even using other means of harming it, like music for example which is said to be a weakness for Jelliens, still won't do much to it.
  • Revenge: Its main motivation.
  • Sadist: The Overlord created an army of Jelliens, far more violent and lethal than in Planet of the Jellyfish, for the purpose of wiping out a lot of people, it killed Pearl for no other apparent reason than to make Krabs suffer, and judging by its game over screen being red if it defeats SpongeBob, it can be implied that the Overlord killed him brutally instead of cloning him.
  • Self-Disposing Villain: It decides to devour Eugene Krabs alive... right after the crustacean covers himself up in Mayo. As expected, this leads to the Overlord's death.
  • Too Dumb to Live: See Self-Disposing Villain up above.

    Chef Prowler/Prowlnos
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chef_prowler.png
A Prowler dressed in a chef's hat and mustache who can be found at the Barg'N Mart. He returns in the minigame "Chef's Clamity" as Prowlnos, having collected the Infinity Gauntlet.
  • Affectionate Parody: Becomes one to Thanos in "Chef's Clamity".
  • Big Bad: Of "Chef's Clamity".
  • Faux Affably Evil: He first appears to be a friendly enemy if you approach him in the Barg N Mart, happily offering you a sample of Jellien ice cream, but this is only because he's fooled by your disguise. If you reach full suspicion, THEN he'll act just like his fellow Prowlers, although considering touching Chef Prowler won't raise your suspicion meter, he seems to be Affably Evil towards the clones.
  • High-Voltage Death: Can do this if Krabs' cover gets blown and he runs into him.
  • Jerkass: The Chef's Calamity mini game certainly presents him as one.
  • Mind Control: As a Prowler, he should be able to do this.
  • True Final Boss: The minigame "Chef's Clamity" presents him as this for the whole game.

Clones

    In general
  • Adaptational Villainy: The clones in the original show were more amicable to non-Jelliens, at least not so quick to attack them at first. Here however, they instantly become vicious and aggressive upon seeing any non-Jellien lifeforms.
  • Berserk Button: As Potty states and as seen in the Barg'N Mart, mentioning mayonnaise in casual conversation with a clone will lead to them snapping. Alternatively, for most of the Jellien clones (with the exception of Plankton and Dennis), just seeing a non-Jellien lifeform is enough to set them off.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: The clones in the Barg N'Mart aren't tolerant of child predators, though it's unknown if this extends to the other Jellien clones.
  • Evil Counterpart: Each clone is this for the person they have been cloned from (with the exception of Plankton and Dennis since they're already evil).
  • One-Hit Kill: Almost all of them bring about an instant death should they catch you.

    Left Glovey and Right Glovey
Left Glovey

Right Glovey
some caption text
Giant glove suits who serve as the mascots of Glove World, as well as it's main enemies.
  • Adaptation Name Change: Glovey Glove from the episode Roller Cowards is referred to as "Right Glovey" in-game. Justified when Patrick refers to Left Glovey as "the new one", implying that Glove World decided to update their mascot(s) recently, hence the name change.
  • Canon Foreigner: Right Glovey is Glovey Glove from the main show, whereas Left Glovey is original to this game. Justified and Lampshaded when Patrick refers to Left Glovey as "the new one".
  • Gender Flip: In Roller Cowards, Glovey Glove is referred to using male pronouns. Here, Right Glovey is referred to using female pronouns. Patrick implies that Glove World had updated their mascot recently, which could explain the gender change.
  • The Immune: Somehow, both of the gloves have complete immunity to the effects of the rooms in the maze. They can't wake up Clamu, they completely ignore the electricity sparks, and they (luckily for Patrick) can't release the Red Menaces.
  • Light-Flicker Teleportation: They explicitly mess with your flashlight, somehow teleporting while the light flickers. From a game design perspective, this is so the player can't keep staring at them and stop them from being a threat.
  • No Sneak Attacks: Averted. Right Glovey is always creeping right behind Patrick, but she's shy, so merely looking at her will make her stop, and Left Glovey constantly tries to "surprise" Patrick throughout the Tunnel of Glove's maze. To prevent the attack, Patrick must listen for Left Glovey's footsteps and look at him to stop him in his tracks.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: After Squidward kills Right Glovey, Left Glovey screams and makes a run for it.

    Jellien Pearl
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/awake_pearl_4.png
some caption text
A clone of Eugene Krabs' beloved daughter Pearl.
  • Ax-Crazy: While all the Jellien clones go berserk from seeing a non-Jellien lifeform, Pearl will scream and chase down the player upon spotting them. Additionally, she will indiscriminately kill anything that dares disturb her rest or bumps into her while she's sleepwalking.
  • The Berserker: Fits this trope to a tee since her first instinct upon seeing someone that's not a Jellien is to just charge at them with a yell and kill them. In the last part of the level, Pearl charges at Mr Krabs even when he's shooting mayonnaise at her.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: If you listen closely, it sounds like she's tearing off Mr. Krabs' shell.
  • Kill the Lights: Should you either step on the creaky floorboards or get shocked by the pinky, Jellien Pearl will do this before killing you.
  • Never Wake Up a Sleepwalker: Once she gets out of bed, stay out of her sight, and avoid contact with loose floorboards and/or the Pinky Jellien. If she wakes up and/or her slumber is disturbed and you're in her line of sight, you're doomed.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: If you disturb her sleep, she will seemingly teleport right to you and end you.
  • Super-Hearing: Even if you are on the other side of the house from her, she can still hear you stepping on a creaky board or screaming from being zapped by a Jellien.
  • Super-Toughness: It takes multiple blasts of mayonnaise to kill her.
  • You Are Already Dead: If Pearl wakes up and sees you, there is no way to escape her.

    Jellien Guards
A group of octopi guards of Tentacle Acres that were captured and cloned.
  • Beware of Vicious Dog: Some of the guards have Jellien worm pets, which are the SpongeBob equivalent of guard dogs. They will viciously bite and tear Squidward apart if they catch him.
  • Instant Emergency Response: The Jellien Guards respond immediately when the alarm goes off (courtesy of Patrick). They also do this during the level of you dare trigger the alarm by either passing through the laser security system. And if you get found out either by getting spotted by a guard or foolishly throwing a pebble at one, they'll blow the whistle and instantly alert everyone to your presence.
  • Super-Speed: They move incredibly fast, being able to easily outrun Squidward.
  • Surveillance Station Slacker: One of the Octo guards can be seen sleeping right at the surveillance cameras.
  • You Are Already Dead: You can't run away from them or lose them once you've alerted them.

    Jellien Iron Dogfish
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/iron_dogfish.jpg
A massive dog-fish hybrid used by the guards of Tentacle Acres as a guard dog.

    Jellien Mrs. Puff
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mspuff_4.jpg
"Why... are you still... ALIVE?!"
A Jellien clone of Mrs. Puff, who stalks the halls of the Boating School and keeps the night-class students captive, intending to feed them to the Overlord.
  • Actor Allusion: Of a sorts. Her chase theme is extremely similar to Muriel's from Courage's Curse, another game by Dave.
  • Ax-Crazy: The many threats that she makes as she patrols the halls, plus the fact that she tears SpongeBob apart upon catching him, all point to her being this.
  • Comically Small Bribe: As she searches the school for SpongeBob, she'll attempt to lure SpongeBob out with the promise of a Driver's License (in reference to the fact that SpongeBob always fails to obtain said license). Downplayed and justified in that this is consistently something SpongeBob has shown to desire VERY much in the show.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Upon catching spongeBob, Jellien Puff will slowly cut him to pieces with a ruler.
  • Evil Laugh: She lets one out in her jumpscare as she's killing SpongeBob.
  • Evil Teacher: Due to being a Jellien clone.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: Possibly. She seems to be much more intelligent and tricky than the other clones as seen by the fact that she's clever enough to try and lure SpongeBob out with a bribe. And she's the only person clone that will actually kill the player upon catching them (with the exception of Jellien Plankton and Dennis) instead of just capturing them to be cloned.
  • Sadist: She will literally cut SpongeBob into pieces with her ruler if she catches him, all while laughing.
  • Undignified Death: You can't get much less dignified then being killed by a whoopie-cushion.

Jellien Mermaid Man and Jellien Barnacle Boy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ec9443a7_026b_4300_895c_679a11eae41c.jpeg

Bikini Bottom's famous superhero duo, cloned by the Jelliens.

  • Evil Old Folks: Due to being Jellien clones. This also means they can't really run fast.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: Possibly. It's unknown why Mermaid Man and Bernicle Boy wanted to team up with the villains.
  • The Paralyzer: Essentially causes this upon hitting you with a waterball, making you an easy target for a nearby Alpha or them if they're close enough.
  • Surprisingly Sudden Death: Pretty much what happens to them in the Mermalair. They have Krabs cornered when suddenly the Dirty Bubble knocks them off the bridge and into the deadly spikes below.

    Jellien Hash Slinging Slasher
A maniac with a spatula for a hand.

    Jellien Plankton
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/clone_plankton.png
A Jellien clone of Plankton, enlarged by the real Plankton's Enlargatron ray.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: He's huge, and is seen rampaging through the Industrial Park not unlike Godzilla.
  • Ax-Crazy: Upon being created, the plankton clone immediately makes itself big and goes on a rampage through town, crushing and destroying cars, buildings, and other people. In the introduction to the level, he straight up blasts one civilian with his eye laser, presumably vaporizing the man's leg.
  • Car Fu: Throws boatmobiles at Krabs.
  • Enemy Summoner: Summons Jelliens to keep Mr. Krabs occupied at certain points in the fight.
  • Enigmatic Minion: As mentioned by himself in one of his quotes upon killing Krabs, Plankton isn't a mindless zombie like the other clones, making it unclear if Plankton is even loyal to the Overlord.
  • Eye Beams: His primary form of attack.
  • Mythology Gag: Many, MANY aspects of this fight were taken from the final boss fight of Creature from the Krusty Krab.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: His eye, unlike the glossy black eyes of the Jelliens, has a glowing green pupil and no catchlights.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: Unlike the other clones who still act like mindless puppets who only obey the Overlord, clone Plankton doesn't and is like the real Plankton in all but name. He even says so himself in one of his quotes if he kills the player:
I may be a clone, but I'm not a zombie like the rest.
  • Super-Toughness: Plankton is perhaps the most durable Jellien clone out of everyone, being able to withstand getting dunked with Mayo from three different Mayo towers and having a full on fight with Mr Krabs before finally dying.
  • Villain Has a Point: If Plankton kills Krabs, he will straight up tell him that it was foolish to try and fight a giant monster.
I gotta say, you're pretty stupid for going up against a giant rampaging monster. But I'm not complaining! (Evil Laugh)

    Jellien Larry
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jellien_larry.png
A Jellien Clone of Larry.
  • Lured into a Trap: How SpongeBob defeats him at the end of Larry's Gym: he lures Larry outside the gym so he can then douse Larry in mayonnaise.
  • One-Hit Kill: He will brutally punch SpongeBob's lights out if he catches him.
  • Super-Toughness: While not to the extent of Jellien Plankton, he is incredibly tough, being the only clone to survive getting splashed with mayo.

    Jellien Salty Spitoon
A bunch of tough guys that ended up getting captured and cloned
  • Killed Offscreen: The Jellien clone standing outside the Salty Spitoon isn't seen at all when Squidward runs away, implying that he may have been killed by Dennis.
  • Man on Fire: Jellien Dennis ends up setting all the clones on fire in his attempt to kill Squidward.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: For unknown reasons, they won't become hostile or alert the anglers as Squidward passes by their tables. Hell, the guy outside either doesn't seem to care about Squidward, Patrick, or Mr. Krabs.

    Jellien Dennis
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dennis_6.png
A vicious, cold-blooded bounty hunter.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Kinda downplayed since this is technically a clone instead of the original Dennis. The original Dennis was able to survive being crushed under the foot of the Cyclops, while his Jellien clone in Around the Clock dies from a piano falling on him.
  • All There in the Manual: It is never actually confirmed whether he is a clone or not in the game, as he doesn't act like one and he wears shades that hide his eyes. In the concept art and game files though, he is a referred to as "Jellien Dennis".
  • Ax-Crazy: Rather subdued compared to the original Dennis, but he's nonetheless crazy. Upon spotting Squidward, he immediately proceeds to light the Salty Spitoon on fire and kill everyone inside, just to make escaping there alive harder for Squidward.
  • Bounty Hunter: Shortly after he enters the Salty Spitoon, he sees Squidward and recognizes him from a "Wanted!" Poster that's also in the bar. The poster itself states Squidward's wanted for damaging the Tentacle Acres community's pipeline, meaning the Jelliens likely hired him to kill Squidward. His game over screen shows the posters for Patrick and Krabs crossed out, all but stating that Dennis walks outside and then kills them too.
  • Didn't Think This Through: It's not the best idea to set the Salty Spitoon on fire to kill Squidward, while being inside of the bar yourself and also at risk of getting killed. Whether this is meant to be a representation of how crazy he is, a really dumb moment, or just an elaborate plan to make Squidward easier to catch is anyone's guess, although one of the death notes implies that it's because he's cocky.
  • Eviler than Thou: Takes out the Nerdy Employee with a Goomba Stomp before being crushed by a piano himself.
  • Leit Motif: All of his dialogue is accompanied by the Salty Spitoon track, and his chase theme is a remix of it.
  • Lone Wolf Boss: This trope seems to fit him. Despite being a Jellien himself, Dennis doesn't seem to have any loyalty to them at all. He sets them all on fire without any remorse in the Goo Lagoon level and he casually refers to the Overlord as just another client, implying he wouldn't have worked for him if he didn't put a hit on the crew.
  • Non-Standard Game Over: If he catches Squidward, he chokes Squidward to death, minus the scare chord and Squidward screaming. Squidward's vision also goes blurry before fading out, rather than just cutting to black.
  • Not Quite Dead: The fact that Dennis had gotten captured and cloned by the Jelliens means that he had managed to survive his defeat in the SpongeBob movie.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: Just like in the SpongeBob movie, Dennis seems to have the ability to teleport. He does it in the cutscene after setting the tavern on fire and he does it again as he's chasing Squidward.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: Like Plankton, being turned into a Jellien hasn't changed him at all. He's still shown to be observant of wanted posters in search of new gigs and he even casually refers to the Overlord as merely just another client.
  • Piano Drop: Ends up getting killed this way shortly after confronting Patrick, courtesy of Doodle Patrick drawing the piano.
  • Pyromaniac: Only a few seconds after he walks into the Salty Spitoon, he SETS THE PLACE ON FIRE, and Squidward is only given a minute to escape the bar. If Dennis doesn't kill him, then the fire will.
  • Soft-Spoken Sadist: Speaks with a smoother voice in comparison to his canon voice from the movie, which doesn't make his nasty, no-nonsense attitude any less scary.

Doodles

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doodles.PNG
From left to right: Squid Doodle, DoodleBob, and Doodle Patrick.
Poorly drawn versions of the main characters.
    In general
  • Art Initiates Life: The magic pencil brings them all to life, and repeatedly resurrects Squid Doodle.
  • Create Your Own Villain: Drawn by a Prowler and accidentally brought to the 3D world, although they technically already existed.
  • Evil Counterpart: They're all this to their respective counterpart, at least until DoodleBob has a Heel–Face Turn.
  • Last of His Kind: All three of them are the last doodles left after a devastating mass extinction occured on the moon.
  • Living Drawing: They're ones of Patrick, Squidward, and SpongeBob.
  • Minor Major Character: They've been harvesting dead Jelliens all night to destroy the main four and rule Bikini Bottom after the Jelliens destroy everything, but they also don't appear often. They're the main villains of SpongeBob's Pineapple, and then besides a cutscene in Mermalair, they don't appear again until the final level.

    DoodleBob
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doodlebob_7.png
The Doodle version of SpongeBob.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: After the events of the SpongeBob edition of Drawn to Life, a meteor collided with the moon, resulting in a mass extinction that left him the sole survivor of the Doodle town, including his friend Doodlepants.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: Doodlebob goes through a Heel–Face Turn, realizing what him and Doodle Patrick were doing wasn't right, and he decides to protect Patrick. Sadly for his troubles, Doodle Patrick cruelly erases him from existence.
  • Ax-Crazy: Well, pencil crazy in this case. Doodlebob has no problem chasing down Spongebob and erasing him with a big smile on his face, although he seems to lose this trait after his Heel–Face Turn.
  • Benevolent Boss: Unlike Doodle Patrick, Doodlebob seems to care greatly about Squid Doodle. Should he get harmed in the Pineapple level, Doodlebob INSTANTLY teleports to his location to redraw him.
  • Cessation of Existence: He kills Spongebob by erasing him from existence with the magic pencil. He also ends up on the receiving end of this in the final level after he turns on Doodle Patrick.
  • Demoted to Dragon: Previously the Big Bad of his episodes and the Spongebob edition of Drawn to Life, DoodleBob now serves as Doodle Patrick's lackey. Ironically, it was previously the other way around in Drawn to Life SpongeBob edition.
  • The Dragon: To Doodle Patrick.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Ends up changing his ways in the Final level, moving to protect Patrick from Doodle Patrick, considering him his real friend. Unfortunately for his troubles, he ends up getting erased by Doodle Pat.
  • Intelligible Unintelligible: Doodle Patrick is the only one who can understand his otherwise incoherent babbles.
  • Kick the Dog: One of Doodlebob's death quotes implies that he erases Gary after erasing SpongeBob.
  • Non-Standard Game Over: Upon jumpscaring you, the bubble motifs don't appear and the screen just turns black before the Game Over pops up.
  • Redemption Equals Death: He stands up against Doodle Patrick to protect Patrick. It doesn't end well for him.
  • Super-Speed: Doodblebob moves extremely fast and he'll catch you in no time if he spots you.

    Doodle Patrick
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doodlepatrick.jpg
The Doodle version of Patrick.
  • Anvil on Head: Doodle Patrick has a secret jumpscare in the Goofy Goober level where he will attempt to do this to Patrick.
  • Ax-Crazy: Despite his calm and sophisticated demeanor, Doodle Patrick takes joy in hurting others, which is best demonstrated where he smiles sadistically in both his jumpscare and when he kills a Pinkie with the pencil. Additionally, his end goal is to erase all of Bikini Bottom's citizens.
  • Bad Boss: Considers Squid Doodle completely expendable, to the point of not only crushing him offhandedly and tearing off one of his legs just to make a point, but re-summoning him specifically to throw him at Patrick. He also considers the idea of comforting DoodleBob after a traumatic event to be a burden that he is owed compensation for.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: With the Overlord.
  • Climax Boss: Serves as the penultimate challenge to the game, and the last of the Starfishman bosses.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: After Patrick has beaten him, Doodle Patrick is impaled with the magic pencil that was also on fire. Impaled and burned alive, Yeesh. Talk about a way to go.
  • Death from Above: How he kills SpongeBob in the Pineapple level. He'll drop down from the ceiling and crush SpongeBob to death if he walks under him.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: He's fought just before the Overlord.
  • Fatal Flaw: Egotism. While smart and strong, Doodle Patrick's egotism often gets the better of him. After his boss battle with Patrick, Doodle Patrick proceeds to mock him for being such a terrible friend and gloating about how he had been a much better friend to DoodleBob. He kept poking Patrick in the stomach over and over, which unintentionally caused him to vomit and give Patrick the means to burn him.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Keeps a very calm and reasonable-sounding demeanor, but is mostly using it to both prop up his own ego and to take people off-guard when he inevitably stabs them in the back.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Honestly, Doodle Patrick could've easily won if he killed Patrick upon gaining the upper hand. Instead he proceeded to taunt and mock Patrick and poke at his stomach with the pencil, which causes Patrick to vomit out the gas he drank earlier all over the doodle. Thus Patrick was able to flip the script and kill off Doodle Patrick.
  • Hypocrite: Mocks and criticizes Patrick for being an awful friend towards SpongeBob, after having just erased DoodleBob for betraying him.
  • Interface Screw: Even moreso than any other enemies. One of his attacks is to draw what appears to be another Squid Doodle, before kicking it at the player.
  • Kick the Dog: Erases DoodleBob just because he wanted to protect Patrick from him.
  • Kill It with Fire: How Patrick disposes of him.
  • Kryptonite-Proof Suit: Colors himself in with Jellien Jelly to prevent himself from being erased with the pencil after he finds that it prevents the eraser from getting the traction needed to erase things.
  • Logical Weakness: Being made of paper, he is weak to fire, and thus Patrick disposes of him with fire.
  • Mythology Gag: He hails from the SpongeBob Squarepants edition of Drawn to Life. Unlike his counterpart from that game, Doodle Patrick is more intelligent than regular Patrick and speaks in Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: He might be a threat, but he is still just a living piece of paper with a pencil. Him crushing Dennis likely saved Patrick from a much harder fight.
  • Non-Standard Game Over: Just like Doodlebob, the bubble motifs don't appear when he jumpscares you.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Doodle Patrick gives one to his original counterpart, pointing out all the horrible things he's done to SpongeBob.
  • Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: Just like in the game he debuted in.
  • Slasher Smile: Can be seen giving one when he jumpscares Spongebob and when he killed the Jellien pinkie.
  • The Smart Guy: Being the complete opposite of Patrick, he's extremely intelligent, making him the smartest member of the Doodles.
  • Super-Toughness: Unlike the other people Patrick fought who all went down after receiving 3 3-hit combos, it takes 9 3-hit combos to defeat Doodle Patrick.
  • Villain Has a Point: Hypocritical as he may be, Doodle Patrick still was correct in his "The Reason You Suck" Speech. All of Patrick's mistakes that Doodle Patrick pointed out were from seasons 4-8, where Patrick was acting much dumber and meaner than his original personality in seasons 1-3.

    Squid Doodle
A crude doodle of Squidward.
  • Butt-Monkey: Is no threat, is able to be easily defeated by the player, and is even abused by Doodle Patrick.
  • The Goomba: Is one of the first enemies in the game, appearing in the second level, and the only one that can be defeated without the use of the mayo minigun.
  • The Runt at the End: DoodleBob and Doodle Patrick are crude sure, but they still look close to their counterparts. Squid Doodle is just a rock with legs and Squidward's face.
  • Shmuck Bait: Is no threat on his own. Step on him though, and DoodleBob will IMMEDIATELY rush to his aid.

Super Villains

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1000001946.png
The defeated villains; Jumbo Shrimp and Sneaky Hermit, Prawn, Atomic Flounder, Sinister Slug, and Man Ray. Excluded from this picture is Dirty Bubble.

    Atomic Flounder
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_2021_03_20_123737.png
A flounder in a hazmat suit.
  • Barrier Warrior: With a press of a button, Atomic Flounder is able to put up a strong barrier to protect himself from Patrick's punches.
  • Logical Weakness: While his barrier gives him excellent defense, he has to take it down to actually attack Patrick.
  • Power Fist: The button on his suit enlarges his arms, which he then uses to try and punch Patrick.
  • Stupid Crooks: After he's done throwing punches, Atomic Flounder will struggle a bit with putting his forcefield back up, giving Patrick the opportunity to land some hits.
  • Warmup Boss: The first boss of the Mermalair, with the simplest attack patterns to boot.

    Sinister Slug

A sea slug who attacks by spinning around.

    Jumbo Shrimp and Sneaky Hermit
A brains/brawn pairing, with Sneaky Hermit being the brainy gadgeteer and Jumbo Shrimp being the muscle.
  • The Ahnold: Jumbo Shrimp's accent is EERILY reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
  • Battle Trophy: Sneaky Hermit intends to use Patrick's head as a trophy, while Jumbo Shrimp wants to use Patrick's body as a punching bag.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: Jumbo Shrimp IN SPADES.
  • Dual Boss: The two of them are fought together, taking turns in attacking.
  • Mythology Gag: Sneaky Hermit hails from the SpongeBob video game Lights, Camera, Pants!. Jumbo Shrimp is based on his appearance from the SpongeBob video game The Yellow Avenger.

    Prawn
A prawn whose primary weapon is the instrument strapped to his back.
  • Blow You Away: His attack strategy. The beams that come out of his device are strong enough to push Patrick off the stage into the spike pit below.
  • Gameplay Story Segregation: Prawn during the boss fight will seemingly blow the other knocked out villains off stage in his attempts to kill Patrick, however the following cutscene after defeating them shows that all of the villains (minus Dirty Bubble of course) are actually fine, implying that Prawn at the end of the day isn't callous enough to actually kill off his allies.
  • Good Bad Bugs: As seen in The Game Salmon's playthrough, it is possible to force Prawn to the side of the stage, making his boss fight ridiculously easy as he's now too far away to blow you off the stage.
  • Musical Assassin: Harshly blows into his horn to blow you off the platform you're fighting on.

    Dirty Bubble
An evil bubble and the partner of Man Ray.
  • Blow You Away: One of his 2 attacks.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Aids the protagonists after Man Ray left him for the Jelliens. Subverted when he reveals that he lied about Man Ray's whereabouts, with both of them having played you the entire time so they can have you release the imprisoned villains and turn off the security measures preventing them from leaving.
  • Me's a Crowd: Makes miniature versions of himself to attack Patrick.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Most of the enemies of the game need to be punched three times to take damage. The Dirty Bubble only needs to be punched once. He is still a bubble, after all.

    Man Ray
Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy's most famous enemy.
  • Evil Laugh: Man Ray can be heard laughing if he kills you.
  • Final Boss: Of the Mermalair.
  • Freeze Ray: Starts his attack pattern with a single icy bullet that results in Harmless Freezing if Patrick gets hit. From there, he shoots regular ray-gun bolts until he has to reload.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: A rare bug will turn his ray gun lasers invisible, making it almost impossible to dodge them.

Other Enemies

    Big Lenny
A wild box jellyfish with a humanoid face and a VERY lethal sting. Serves as the enemy of both the tutorial and Squidward's Monument.
  • Adaptational Badass: In the original show, Big Lenny is only shown by a picture and implied to be highly dangerous. Here, not only does he make an actual appearance, but Potty states that he has a reputation for bringing zoologists to their end.
  • Ascended Extra: In the main series, he's only made an appearance one on a picture, while here he's the main opponent in two levels.
  • Ax-Crazy: Seemingly takes a disturbing amount of joy in zapping people to death.
  • Bad Vibrations: The screen will begin to shake whenever you're close to Big Lenny.
  • High-Voltage Death: Big Lenny kills his prey by grabbing them with his tentacles and shocking them to death.
  • Lone Wolf Boss: You'd be forgiven to think he was converted into a Jellien or is a high-ranking Jellien, but this how he normally looks and acts.
  • Mugging the Monster: According to the official wiki of this game, two theories as to why Big Lenny hasn't been cloned is that he's too powerful for them to subdue him or are too intimidated to make an ambush.
  • Sadist: The creepy grin he has in his game over screen implies that he's very aware of what he's doing and genuinely takes joy in harming and killing others.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Some have speculated that Big Lenny's decision to invade Squidward's home could be due to trying to hide from the Jelliens, though whether that's an indicator of it being weaker than or just it being cautious is up in the air. Although, considering Potty does state that Red Menace stings are just as lethal as Lenny's and the Prowlers ability to Mind Control, and you could make an argument for the former.
  • Starter Villain: Big Lenny is the very first actual threat you encounter in the Tutorial to help you get used to evading and hiding from enemies, and he can kill you if he catches you.

    Clamu
A giant mother clam that resides in the Tunnel of Glove maze as an enemy.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Even though your only crime is waking her up, that's a good enough reason for Clamu to murder you.
  • Don't Wake the Sleeper: Don't run when you're passing by the clam room, or else you'll have to deal with a pissed off mom that will chase you to the end of the seas.
  • Mama Bear: As the game over tip says, Clamu will assume you're a dangerous threat and charge at you to protect her kids. And she won't stop, even if you run out of the room.
  • Slept Through the Apocalypse: Possibly fits Clamu if we assume she remained asleep in the Glove maze for the rest of the game.
  • You Are Already Dead: There's no outrunning or escaping from Clamu's wrath if you wake her up. Your only option at this point is to die.

    Prowler Patrick
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prowler_patrickr_6.png
A giant, monstrous version of Patrick that lurks in Patrick's imagination box.

    Shadow Spawns
Evil shadow like versions of Patrick, summoned by the Prowler Patrick.
  • Beware of Vicious Dog: One of the sounds they make seems to be vicious barking, like that of a dog
  • Evil Counterpart: Pretty self-explanatory.
  • Hell Is That Noise: The sounds they make as they're stalking and haunting Patrick are truly just disturbing and nightmare-fuel.
  • Imaginary Enemy: Much like the guy that creates them, they're little more than imaginary monsters in Patrick's mind.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Much like Prowler Patrick, these guys also have red glowing eyes.
  • Weakened by the Light: While these things are utterly terrifying, they can easily be dispelled by shining the flashlight on them.

    The Flying Dutchman
A supernatural ghost summoned by the Jellien Hash-Slinging Slasher to kill Squidward
  • For the Evulz: Presumably the only reason he decides to haunt Squidward,. should the Jellien Hash-Slingling Slasher summon him.
  • Ghastly Ghost: This is to be expected. The Flying Dutchman is a hostile spirit that actually tries to kill Squidward.
  • Good Bad Bugs: If he kills you, the timer will keep going on, allowing you to still beat and ace the Krusty Krab level even though you're dead.
  • Mighty Glacier: Despite being an unstoppable supernatural force, the Dutchman moves incredibly slow and is relatively easy to avoid.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Is constantly smiling as he chases Squidward.

    Weenie Hut Manager
A robot who runs Weenie Hut Junior's.
  • Fission Mailed: Unlike every other enemy that kills you, getting jumpscared by the manager results in you getting kicked out and having to restart getting the mayo.
  • Jerkass: Delightfully calls Squidward a "weenie", and if he catches Squidward, he won't hesitate to kick him out.
  • No-Sell: Unlike enemies such as Doodlebob and Jellien Larry, hiding behind a door won't stop the Weenie Hut Manager from catching you.
  • Skewed Priorities: Knows full well that there's an alien invasion going on, but refuses to open the door to anybody and taunts Squidward about it.
  • You Don't Look Like You: Doesn't really look like the robotic manager in the show, having a much more boxy design.

    Sandy Cheeks
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hibernating_sandy.png
Another good friend of SpongeBob and Patrick; a Texan Squirrel who specializes in science and lives in a treedome.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Heavily downplayed as she isn't in her right mind here, but when SpongeBob and Patrick woke her up in the original episode, she simply clobbered them and buried them with snow (and tombstones), while here, it's all but outright said she does something more regrettable to them if they wake her up.
  • Ax-Crazy: Waking her up while she's sleeping causes her to fly into a deep murderous rage and kill whoever was fooling enough to do so. Although this only applies when she's hibernating.
  • Berserk Button: Really doesn't take kindly to being woken up if you couldn't tell.
  • Deus Exit Machina: She would've been a massive help against the jellian horde… if it wasn't hibernation season and is thus fast asleep.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: For committing the grave sin of waking her up (or causing the Nutalarm to go off), she'll wake up and viciously tear you apart.
  • Don't Wake the Sleeper: The main objective of the Treedome is to escape without waking Sandy. Sandy will get woken up by either running in any spot that's beyond the borders marked by yellow lines, stepping on a fallen tree branch, or coming into contact with the Nut-Alarm 1000.
  • Fat Bitch: Is far heftier than normal thanks to her fattening up for hibernation, and she'll kill you if you disturb her slumber.
  • Hibernation/Migration Situation: During the events of the game, it's hibernation season, so she's sleeping through the winter, and SpongeBob and Patrick must avoid disturbing her slumber, or else...
  • Lone Wolf Boss: She's the only threat to SpongeBob and Patrick that isn't affiliated with the Jelliens, nor the doodles, and her level is the only level to not feature the former. However, just because it's the only level to not feature Jelliens doesn't mean that the level is by any means, easy.
  • Sealed Good in a Can: Her technology could prove vital to saving the day again, unfortunately it's hibernation season and she's in a deep sleep....unless you somehow awaken her.
  • Slept Through the Apocalypse: Is unaware of the events going on due to hibernation season, and no Jelliens make it inside her home since it's sealed up tight.
  • Super-Hearing: Her sense of hearing is just as ridiculous as Jellien Pearl's. Stepping on branches outside in the snow will cause her to wake up and kill.
  • You Are Already Dead: If Sandy wakes up, there's no way to avoid or escape her.

    Nut-Alarm 1000
An invention of Sandy's. It's a robot that doubles as an alarm clock.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Despite being built with the purpose of essentially just being an alarm clock, the robot is eerily smart. It burrows underneath the snow outside to move faster and once SpongeBob collects enough pieces, it starts barricading doors to make it more challenging for the sponge to evade it.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Its eyes glow red, and it's the main threat of Sandy's Treedome, other than Sandy herself.
  • Wormsign: Once SpongeBob has collected 3 parts for the flamethrower, the Nut-Alarm gains the ability to tunnel underground, thus this trope comes into play.
  • You Are Already Dead: Consider your run over if this robot ends up blasting his alarms, which will wake Sandy up.

    Alaskan Bull Worm
A giant superpredator worm that resides down in Rock Bottom.
  • Adaptational Villainy: While the Alaskan Bull Worm was a bit more goofy in the original show, here it's been turned into a genuinely horrifying predator.
  • Blinding Camera Flash: The Alaskan Bull Worm gets scared off easily by Squidward's camera flash.
  • Fast Tunnelling: Its preferred method of hunting prey down is slowly digging its way towards them, before eventually popping out and swallowing them whole.
  • Logical Weakness: Considering it's probably been in the dark area of Rock Bottom for a while, a bright camera flash managing to scare it off doesn't seem too farfetched.
  • Non-Standard Game Over: Shares this with the Parasitic Worm. Upon emerging from the ground, it'll quickly devour all four of the characters, sending the player straight to a Game Over screen without the bubble motifs or the jumpscare sound.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Considering it's not a resident of Rock Bottom, nor has there ever canonically been a sighting of an Alaskan Bull Worm there, it could be possible it migrated there to avoid the Jelliens, especially when you consider that it's buried in the sand and only pops out to devour unsuspecting prey that walk by.
  • Swallowed Whole: Will pop up out of the sand and do this to the heroes if they fail to scare him off.
  • You Are Already Dead: This does apply if you guess wrong and flash the wrong side of the road. You won't have enough time to reload before this giant predator eats you.

    Parasitic Worm
A terrifying worm that resides in Rock Bottom, stalking anyone unfortunate enough to cross her path.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Compared to the original game she hails from, the Parasitic Worm is a thousand times scarier and and more villainous in Around the Clock.
  • Blinding Camera Flash: The Parasitic Worm will recoil back if you end up flashing the camera in her face.
  • Canon Foreigner: Much like the Iron Dogfish, she's also originally from the game Supersponge.
  • Darkness Equals Death: She lurks within the darkness of Rock Bottom and will kill the crew if they get too close to her.
  • Deadly Lunge: If the 4 heroes get too close to her, she'll lunge out at them and devour them.
  • Logical Weakness: She spends her time just swimming around in the complete darkness of Rock Bottom, so it actually does make sense for the bright light of the cam to deter her.
  • Lone Wolf Boss: As Mr. Krabs himself states and her game over screen indicates, the Parasitic Worm isn't a Jellien, but just a native predator capitalizing on the chaos her prey is in.
  • Non-Standard Game Over: Just like the Alaskan Bull Worm, she'll swiftly kill the party, sending you to a Game Over screen without the jumpscare sound of bubble motifs.

    Berry the Bear

Berry the Bear (Often referred to as just Berry) is a character by Dave Microwaves Games who appears in a number of games such as Shopping Nightmare, Around the Clock at Bikini Bottom, Dave.EXE, and Strange Terror From The Deep's scrapped major update.

Berry first debuted in Shopping Nightmare, Dave's first 3D game, created in 2017 but not released until 2018. Since then, Berry has since become the Series Mascot for Dave as a whole.

It should be noted there are actually multiple Berrys, all of whom have the same general look, voice, personality, and the word "Berr" somewhere in their name.

  • Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: He's a bear, and he's pink.
  • Artificial Stupidity: His AI isn't perfect, and during his hide and seek minigames will sometimes walk right past the player and not notice them.
  • Ax-Crazy: While his personality tends to vary throughout his appearances in the game, he seemingly becomes a very dangerous killer during hide and seek and he will kill you if he finds you.
  • Bait-and-Switch Compassion: At the end of Mr. Krabs' memorial, the camera pans to show him watching from afar, sad. At first it seems he's actually sad that Mr. Krabs is dead, but he then affirms that the real reason he is sad is because now that Krabs is dead, he can't go demand his bike back.
  • Bears Are Bad News: He's selfish, a Jerkass, and a bear.
  • Beary Funny: In the rare times he isn't being a Jerkass, expect him to be a snarky comedian.
  • The Big Race: Some of his minigames involve racing him around a track.
  • Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are: Half of his minigames involve a game of hide and seek. He's easy enough to find, but then it's his turn to seek, and he's more than ready to execute losers.
  • Damsel in Distress: Is this for the entirety of Dave.EXE, having been kidnapped by Edgy Dave.
  • Dem Bones: One of the variations is this: A skeleton Berry that can move on its own.
  • Distaff Counterpart: One of the variants is Momma Berr, a Berry who is female and actually friendly. She does seem to be a bit neglectful to her child though.
  • Dream Walker: He somehow ends up inside of Patrick's Prowler-induced hallucinations in Patrick's Rock.
  • Fetch Quest: Sends the player on one in Barg'N-Mart to get him a "boxy".
  • The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You: At the end of the game, he gets into a scuffle with the narrator.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: In his hide and seek minigames, upon seeing you he'll rush and kill you, and the timer stops counting down to your victory upon him seeing you. Because of this, sticking yourself somewhere where he can see you but cannot reach you essentially softlocks the game.
  • Garbage Hideout: He hides in a rubbish bin in Patrick's Rock.
  • Hammerspace Hideaway: Even though he's a giant bear, he manages to squeeze himself into the Tentacle Acres mailbox.
  • Hero Stole My Bike: Is mad at Mr. Krabs for stealing his bike, even though he left it unattended in the middle of an abandoned alleyway.
  • Identical Grandson: The main Berry and his son look, sound, and act identical.
  • The Immune: Despite standing or sitting next to Jelliens many times, he never once gets cloned or even attacked.
  • Interactive Narrator: Berry argues with the narrator at the end of Around the Clock at Bikini Bottom.
  • I Was Never Here: Upon meeting SpongeBob and Patrick, he points a knife at them and says this almost word for word.
Berry: I don't exist. Got it?
  • Jerkass: Zig-Zagging Trope. Sometimes you'll find him being rude while other times he's noticeably cordial. Justified due to there being multiple versions of him running around so it's not surprising to find a Berry with a different personality each time.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Even if he is a bit of an asshole, he's a major member of the resistance against Edgy Dave.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: For a long time, he considered the Daves as easily expendable and replaceable. By the time of the game, he's learnt to stop doing this, not because he recognises how cruel it is to the Daves but because he's annoyed at how long it takes to get a new Dave when the previous one dies.
  • Killer Teddy Bear: One Alternative Character Interpretation of him.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: If Berry kills you during the hide and seek minigane, he'll tell you to find a better hiding spot next time.
  • Legacy Character: When the original Berry is kidnapped, it's his family that has to fill the game's Berry role and save him.
  • Mascot Villain: He's the mascot of Dave sure, but he's a massive Jerkass and occasionally bad.
  • Me's a Crowd: There are hundreds of him across the multiverse.
  • Money Dumb: He doesn't understand Bikini Bottomite currency. Upon seeing SpongeBob and Patrick happy to receive Goofy Goober Tokens (which grant free ice cream at Goofy Goobers locations), he assumes they must be underwater money and steals all but one of them.
  • Money Spider: Beating his minigames will always reward you a Goofy Goober Token.
  • Monster Closet: Bones Berry has one of these in Glove World, but he merely uses it to hide a Goofy Goober Token.
  • Necromancer: Whenever Dave dies, he'll revive him to seek out timelines yet again.
  • Obsessed with Food: He only lets Dave leave corrupted timelines after being given a dozen soda cans.
  • Pet the Dog: After annoying him the entire game, the player receives his token in Barg'N-Mart by fulfilling his request and giving him a box.
  • Racing Minigame: He'll occasionally challenge whoever he sees to race him. For being so large and so sluggish, he's surprisingly quick, and it doesn't hurt that he'll stun you if he bumps into you.
  • Robbing the Dead: In Glove World, the Goofy Goober Token is taken from Bones Berry.
  • Robot Me: A robot variant of him was among the concepts scrapped in Strange Terror from the Deep's major update.
  • Searching the Stalls: In his second hide and seek minigame, the player can hide in the gym bathroom. If he searches the bathroom, he'll open every stall one by one, but Artificial Stupidity means sometimes he won't see you in the stall.
  • Sore Loser: Beating him in a minigame prompts him to yell a Big "NO!" before leaving.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: Upon being asked who he is in Dave.EXE, Gatekeeper Berry stammers out repeatedly that he's just a generic Berry and that there's nothing special about him.
  • Time Stands Still: He seems to have these powers, as when challenging him to racing or hide and seek he will freeze all enemies in place to play uninterrupted.
  • Unlimited Wardrobe: He changes hats, clothing, and even facial hair A LOT.
  • We Have Reserves: This was Gatekeeper Berry's attitude for a long time with the Dave Microfolk across the multiverse. He only changes this in Dave.EXE because he's tired of how long it takes to wait for a replacement Dave to show up every time.

Other Characters

    Nerdy Employee
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nerdy_employee.png
"What say you, foul fiend?"
An employee of Glove World.
  • Goomba Stomp: Is squashed by Dennis while confronting Patrick.
  • Jerkass: Is constantly annoying, arrogant and brags about his "employment" by the Jelliens.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Suffers from this in almost all of his appearances.
  • Leit Motif: Whenever he talks in a cutscene, Glove World Maze plays.
  • Paper Tiger: Acts tough, but all it takes is a single punch from Patrick to put him through a wall. During his second appearance, one glare from Patrick is enough to get him to back off.
  • The Quisling: Is so desperate for any promotion at all that he willingly throws in his lot with the Jelliens, even though they just consider him "Overlord's Minion" material.
  • Same Character, But Different: He looks remarkably similar to one of the two "weenies" who helps SpongeBob out in "No Weenies Allowed", but instead of being a minor helper character, he serves the role of a minor antagonist in this game.

    Pearl
Mr. Krabs' whale daughter who ended up getting captured by the Jelliens

    Gary
SpongeBob's beloved pet snail.
  • Distressed Dude: This basically applies to the level Gary first appears. He wasn't exactly captured by the doodles, however he was essentially cornered and trapped in the library as the Doodles are patrolling the house, forcing SpongeBob to rescue him.

    Goofy Goober
The mascot of Goofy Goober's Ice Cream Party Boat.

    King Jellyfish

  • Ambiguous Situation: It's a bit unclear if he was captured and cloned, had escaped, or was killed by Prince Jellien.
  • He Who Must Not Be Seen: Doesn't make a single appearance at all in the game. The only equivalent in the game is Prince Jellien.

    Karen
Plankton's AI computer wife
  • Excessive Mourning: Karen is mentioned to be grieving Plankton's capture at the hands, or tentacles, of the Jelliens. Although this is justified by the fact that Karen doesn't know that the Jelliens don't kill the people they cloned.
  • He Who Must Not Be Seen: Plankton's wife is never actually physically shown in the entire game. She's only mentioned in the Recap for Sandy's level, and by Mr. Krabs in the final level.
