Warrior Heroes

    Airi, Shadow Dragon Ninja
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aov_airi_350x441.jpg
"The future of Mist Islands is in my hands."
Voiced by: Maya Aoki Tuttle (EN)
Faction: Mist Islands
Honor of Kings counterpart: N/A

Airi is the Kunoichi of the Mist Islands. In this realm, 'Kunoichi' merely meant 'warrior', not 'female ninja', thus Airi being a female Ninja is a mere coincidence. The Mist Islands served Veda as one of their task forces, and Airi, being the Kunoichi of the Mist Islands and possessing the blood of the steel dragon within her, led the charge in their battles. During a defense battle against Lokheim, Airi charged straight at the demon leader, Maloch, and with her blade imbued with the power of the Steel Dragon, Airi cut down his wings, forcing him to retreat. Her name became feared amongst the demons of Lokheim while also receiving renown amongst the residents of the Mist Islands. Airi stayed loyal to the Mist Islands and Veda while defending their realm, despite a certain close relative's betrayal...

Airi is a Warrior/Assassin hero who faces her enemies head on with her twin blades, building up power to zip around and strike the enemies at their weak points.

  • Her passive is Slash. Airi's fourth attack will always be imbued with extra damage, causes slow and grants a 100% lifesteal, but it cannot procure critical hits.
  • Her first skill is Spin. Airi throws a giant Fuuma Shuriken to the front, damaging and knocking away everyone hit with it. She also gains a Dragon Mark, which can be used to enhance or reset her second skill's cooldown. Hitting an enemy hero will also slow them down. Passively, it grants Airi a permanent double damage modifier against non-heroes.
  • Her second skill is Shadow. Airi dashes forward and procures her passive immediately for the next attack. She can spend one Dragon Mark to remove the cooldown completely.
  • Her ultimate is Ryuu. After cleansing herself, Airi slashes upwards and unleashes the dragon spirit around her, dealing damage to and knocking up everyone nearby. She immediately resets Shadow's cooldown and gains two Dragon Mark. She also gains a temporary shield, which prevents any damage from exceeding 10% of her maximum HP.

  • Blue Is Heroic: Her ninja garb is blue, and it shows that she's the more heroic and stalwart sibling compared to Hayate.
  • Cain and Abel: The 'good' sibling with her 'evil' brother Hayate, though it's more about which sibling has or hasn't lost faith in Veda (Airi has not)
  • Cool Big Sis: She treats Aoi as if she were her own blood sister. To which, after Airi lost her brother Hayate, it's very meaningful.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: She's recorded as one of the people who caused serious damage to the demonic Maloch by cutting down his wings.
  • Dual Wielding: She wields two swords at once. Apparently, it was suggested by Tachi.
  • Fuuma Shuriken: She throws one for her first skill. Especially when you turn the voice into Japan, where she even yelled the trope name out loud (but the skill isn't called such).
  • Highly-Visible Ninja: She's the kind of ninja that doesn't even bother with stealth. She's designed as a Warrior/Assassin hybrid and her skills are all about 'getting in your face to slice and dice' instead of sneaking around and assassinating.
  • The Paragon: She's basically Mist Island's paragon, a position she holds because the previous paragon, Hayate, ended up rebelling.
  • Sibling Rivalry: Airi and her brother Hayate are rivals, and that's because Airi hasn't been disillusioned with Veda despite some of their shadier backgrounds, while Hayate has. Regardless, Airi doesn't hold too many grudges against her brother for his betrayal.

    Allain, the Reminiscence Blade
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aov_allain_350x441.jpg
"My swords do not harm. They protect!"
Voiced by: Zach Aguilar (EN)
Faction: N/A (formerly Shadow Hand member)
Honor of Kings counterpart: Himself

The last thing Allain remembered in his life was being in the city of Casanova, where he was a member of a mercenary group and befriending the top mercenary, Butterfly, who always bested him in sparring, and yet he remained a positive figure in her life. Their time together was tragically cut short when Allain protected Butterfly from a traitor within their mercenary group and was never heard of again (presumably stranding to the Land of Kings in Navenia area)... until he later resurfaced as a member of the Shadow Hand, having lost his memories and believing that they were the ones who saved him. However, even Allain couldn't stomach the Shadow Hand's extremist actions, even in the name of humanity, and left, following the example of another deserter, Amily. He managed to reunite with Butterfly when she met him on the run from Shadow Hand assassins that did not take traitors lightly. Though his memory of her was still rather blurry, Allain still remembers the kindness Butterfly had.

Allain is a Warrior hero specializing in one-on-one battles as his skills allow him to swing his sword very quickly to decimate lone enemies while standing still. Most of his skills are imported (mostly) intact in Honor of Kings.

  • His passive is Howling Sword. Allain's normal attacks are executed in four stages, all of them hitting 7 times in total. Physical, magic, and true damage are mixed in the attacks, and he homes to the nearest target when initiating attack. The attacks are unaffected by attack speed. Items that raise attack speed will be converted to physical damage. If he hits heroes with his normal attack or his first skill, he gains bonus attributes, and after accumulating several stacks, he gains HP regeneration.
  • His first skill is Meteor Kill. Allain unleashes a barrage of sword slashes that can procure critical hits or on-hit effects. He slashes more if he has more Howling Sword stacks. The first slash will cause knock up, the last two slashes deal true damage and the final slash is a cross slash Sword Beam that he can change direction. Allain's movement speed is lowered in this state, but he gains crowd control immunity.
  • His second skill is Moonflash. Allain stores two charges that he can use to dash forward, damaging enemy heroes that come in contact with him. This ability occasionally has its cooldown reduced.
  • His ultimate is Death at Sunset. Allain targets a foe or friend (hero), then leaps to the sky, becoming untargetable and marking the target. After a few seconds, he leaps down from the target, deals damage to all enemies in range that scales with their current HP. If he leaps at an enemy, before he descends, the enemy is slowed down, and Allain gains a shield upon descending. If he leaps to an ally, said ally gains a shield if Allain damages an enemy on descent and always gains movement speed. If Allain targets Butterfly, she will get crowd control immunity as a bonus. In Honor of Kings, after Allain targets an ally/enemy, he must manually control his landing point instead of homing to his target.

  • Anime Hair: Allain is known as one of the more blatantly anime-inspired heroes in the game (he even had the honor of getting the skin of Kirito). His spiky hair wouldn't be too out of place in a Shounen manga or anime.
  • Crossover: He appears in Honor of Kings as a full blown hero rather than being a port of someone else. The lore handles it that this is what he's doing before he's picked up by the Shadow Hand, thus still amnesiac.
  • Defector from Decadence: Like Amily, Allain couldn't stand the atrocities of Shadow Hand, even in the name of humanity, so he quit. And he did it while being amnesiac rather than having other morality crutches.
  • Dual Wielding: He wields two twin swords and frequently hacks and slashes with them.
  • Easy Amnesia: He's Not Quite Dead after protecting Butterfly and suffers amnesia as a result.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: In the past, he willingly jumped into the horde of enemies to ensure Butterfly's survival. He got better because of the Shadow Hand.
  • In a Single Bound: With his ultimate, he can leap and stay in the air for an extended period of time before descending and homing in on his target.
  • Nice Guy: Even if he has amnesia, it's just within Allain's nature to be nice, protective and polite to people who are not evil. Within the world of Honor of Kings, he's seen trying his best to help stray animals in his spare time.
  • Official Couple: Everyone obviously can see that he and Butterfly are just more than friends. And even if he's introduced with several pretty ladies in Honor of Kings, Allain never hits on them due to his buried memories and loyalty with Butterfly.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Red Oni to Butterfly's Blue. Allain is a lot more social and carefree, trying his best to cheer up the usually cold Butterfly. He usually succeeds.

    Amily, the Crusher
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aov_amily_350x441.png
Voiced by: Faye Mata (EN)
Faction: N/A (formerly Shadow Hand member)
Honor of Kings counterpart: Kai/Kaizer

An orphan who lost her family from the demons of Lokheim, all except her little sister, whom she's still looking for. Amily was later picked up by the Shadow Hand organization, becoming Quillen's most favored assassin and agreeing to some of his extremist ideas that while Lokheim is dangerous, so is the alternative, Veda. For a time being, she used to hold onto Quillen's pro-humanism extremist ways, but the Shadow Hand were full of cutthroat, backstabbing, inhuman killing machines, and Amily was almost turned into one, but she always kept her humanity thanks to the memories of her family and the promise to look for her sisters. Eventually, after gathering three more like-minded people, Amily broke away the guild and lived a wandering life to find her sister and hide away from the Shadow Hand members that want a traitor like her dead.

Amily is a Warrior/Assassin hybrid who is a duelist expert. She excels at taking out single heroes that dare not call for help.

  • Her passive is Duel. If Amily's normal attack and second skill only hit one target, they gain a 1.5 damage multiplier.
  • Her first skill is Kickblade. Amily flings a blade that bounces between enemies, damaging and slowing anyone hit, with the slow enhanced on the initial target. Afterwards, the blade will bounce back to Amily, healing her, increasing her speed, and lowering Kickblade's cooldown.
  • Her second skill is Combo. Amily delivers a two-hit kick combo where the second hit knocks up her opponent. If it hits, her next normal attack immediately homes in on her target and deals extra damage. As a passive effect, it restores a fixed percentage of HP and mana as well as increases base movement speed when out of combat.
  • Her ultimate is Enrage. Amily charges up a bit, engulfing her hair on fire. Once the charge up is complete, she unleashes an energy blast on her surrounding enemies, and afterwards, she enters an empowered state where her attack and movement speed increase, she gets damage reduction, and those surrounding her will suffer damage over time.

  • Achilles' Heel: Downplayed. Amily's effectiveness pretty much decreases if there's even one minion interfering in her duel. Her passive skill will not activate this way. But seeing that she also has sustain and a form of crowd control (which she can also use to escape), she doesn't suffer too much.
  • Action Girl: One of the more blatant examples of the game. Amily is the type to kick the crap out of heroes' asses if they're alone, and even if she's surrounded, she'll still not go down without a fight.
  • Armed Legs: She's equipped with boots that have a blade on each heel.
  • Baritone of Strength: She's a candidate of one of the most powerful humans within Athanor, being able to keep up with the most advanced Allain clone by the Shadow Hand (for the record, Allain is pretty powerful) and Veres at the same time. And her voice tone is balls-deep to show it. Even when her English VA is more known for high-pitched character voices.
  • Cool Big Sis: She acts like the senior sister and 'ex-Shadow Hand member' to Allain; his personality reminds her of her childhood.
  • Defector from Decadence: At first she thought that Lokheim and Veda were bad news, but then she realized that even the human members of the Shadow Hand were no better. After she gathered enough strength, she just broke away.
  • Flaming Hair: She can light up her hair temporarily to make it look like it's made of fire. It shows that she's enraged.
  • Hour of Power: Enrage is basically a temporary phase where Amily gets pumped up to kick more ass. She gets a lot of hefty buffs for that. But, that doesn't last long.
  • Kick Chick: There's only one thing she knows for a combat method. It involves a boot to the head, chest, neck, or whatever body parts her legs can reach. The Armed Legs help.
  • Male Might, Female Finesse: To her Honor of Kings predecessor, Kai. Amily has slightly lower defense stats, so she has to focus on actually killing her enemies, thus her sub-class is Assassin. Her animation shows that she does some acrobatics when attacking or executing her skills, so it's implied that she's skilled enough to know where to strike her enemies at their weakest (it helps that she used to be a member of the Shadow Hand).

    Arthur, the Chosen

"Sword in my hand, light in my heart!" Click for his old design
Voiced by: Masakazu Morita (JP)
Faction: Okka Kingdom (Norman Kingdom)
Honor of Kings counterpart: King Arthur

The first of mankind that rose up to challenge the darkness encroaching on Athanor, the chivalrous knight Arthur rallied mankind in the darkest hour and faced off against Maloch and his hellish horde, allowing humans to become a respected race. The Valiant Order is built on his creed and teaching, and his undaunted spirit and dedication towards order and justice is followed by many, especially his successors, such as Thane. Such was the story of Arthur the first. The current Arthur is the same-named Prince of the Kingdom of Okka, is allied with and best friends with Thane of the Norman Kingdom, and has the same brave and virtuous personality.

Arthur is a Warrior/Tank hero who charges into the fray of battle and disrupts his enemies while withstanding what his enemies throw at him. He does not utilize mana, only depending on his cooldown.

  • His Passive is Paragon. Arthur gets scaling damage reduction as he levels up.
  • His first skill is Righteous Fervor. Arthur gets a boost of movement speed until he attacks first, in which he gains increased range by leaping to the enemy, and it grants his enemy a movement speed and defense debuff while rallying his allies to move faster.
  • His second skill is Holy Guard. Arthur summons magical circling swords to damage nearby enemies per second.
  • His Ultimate is Deep Impact. Arthur leaps at a nearby enemy and stabs his sword to the ground, creating a blast that knocks nearby enemies upwards and leaves a mark on the ground. Those who stay there will take damage over time.

  • Art Evolution: He has a new art and new model which makes him leaner and younger. Coincidentally, it may imply that the updated version is the current Arthur, prince of Okka, while the old model is the original Arthur that defeated Maloch the first time.
  • BFS: A big knight needs a sword as big as he is, and he has no problems swinging it.
  • Close-Range Combatant: Arthur always needs to get close to his enemies to start dealing damage. If the enemy tries to kite him, he can run forward to close the gap himself.
  • Expy: One can say he's based on Garen, since he has a speed boost + debilitating first strike buff, a constant spinning strike (though he doesn't personally spin himself), and an ultimate that involves stabbing the sword to the ground (although not an execute), and does not use mana at all. Then there's also the knightly motif. It's not that uncommon to see Arthur hiding in the bush waiting to strike, a strategy familiar enough for those who know their 'Bushren'. Arthur's gameplay also influences Garen's appearance in Wild Rift, where his ultimate Demacian Justice now has him close the gap with the enemy just like Arthur's Deep Impact.
  • Identical Grandson: Arthur, prince of Okka, is a descendant of the Arthur that vanquished the darkness of Maloch in the beginning of Athanor's history. This is why he and Thane can pop up at the same time.
  • Jack of All Stats: Arthur is fast, able to burst targets and is also kind of durable. His versatility makes him a welcome addition to almost any team.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: He's a chivalrous knight with an exceptionally good spirit, fighting for the safety of mankind.
  • Named After Somebody Famous: His name is most likely inspired by King Arthur, as he also shared the traits of wielding a Cool Sword and being The Paragon chivalrous knight who led humanity, despite the fact that the original Arthur was never a King officially. The current Arthur is still a prince, not yet a king.
  • Lightning Bruiser: All that big armor and giant sword didn't stop Arthur from running and striking fast.
  • The Paragon: The original Arthur is the paragon of humanity, which he elevated to the level of respect among the residents of Athanor. To this day, the current Arthur tries to live up to his legacy.
  • Skill Gate Characters: He's usually your first free hero, and he generally shows you the basics of being a warrior: A tanky fighter that can close the gap and dish out damage. Think of Garen if you're a "League of Legends" player, and you'll have a good idea of Arthur.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Despite his younger appearance, Arthur retains his middle-aged man voice post-model update. Averted if you switch the voice to Japanese. His new model matches better with his voice.
  • Warrior Prince: The current Arthur is the prince of his kingdom of Okka, and he's a valiant warrior leading the charge.

    Astrid, the Indomitable
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aov_astrid_350x441.jpg
"My life for my realm!"
Voiced by: Ayaka Suwa (JP)
Faction: Norman Kingdom
Honor of Kings counterpart: N/A

Astrid is the only duchess in the kingdom of Norman, ruling over the House of Roses, inheriting it from her fallen father and brother, as they were slain during an assault by Lokheim led by Taara. With her oath of knighthood taken when she was 18, the family heirloom sword, the Embertrail, and sword training she learned from Florentino, she swears loyalty to Thane and promises to become his blade after he previously lost certain friends like Arduin. Without revenge clouding her mind, Astrid stands tall and ready to face any incoming threats to her kingdom.

Astrid is a Warrior hero who can both take and deal considerable amounts of damage before finishing off injured foes in a single mighty blow.

  • Her passive is Bladed Guardian. Astrid gains a shield that blocks a certain amount of damage for a short period of time when either brought below 80% HP or when taking a hit while below that threshold. This skill has a cooldown that can be reduced by damaging enemies.
  • Her first skill is Spin Slash. Astrid performs a spin attack with her massive blade. If she hits an enemy hero, her attack speed increases for a few seconds afterwards, gaining an increased benefit if multiple heroes are hit.
  • Her second skill is Fearless Charge. Astrid charges towards one direction. Her next basic attack is then buffed into a powerful thrust with increased damage, slowing enemies hit by her as well as shredding their armor. Hitting at least one enemy hero reduces the Fearless Charge's cooldown.
  • Her ultimate is Dire Blow. Astrid charges up and becomes invulnerable to damage and crowd control for a few seconds. Just before the invulnerability ends, she unleases a powerful blow that deals physical damage to targets hit. Dire Blow gains additional effects if either she or her target is below 60% HP, with an injured Astrid stunning targets hit by her attack, and injured enemies taking additional true damage equal to a percentage of their lost HP.

  • BFS: The Embertrail is practically the biggest sword available in the game. Astrid wields it properly like a two-handed weapon despite training from a fencer like Florentino.
  • Charged Attack: Dire Blow has a considerable charge time and deals massive damage to a massive area. Astrid can use her charge time to walk and reposition herself, while the enemies can use it to escape being hit.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: Astrid is dressed in heavy armor and her lines are about her knightly responsibilities. Her play style is also about getting into the frontline and exchanging hits, so those behind her are well protected and can return fire.
  • Lady of War: A fully armored knight who remains ladylike and readily enters the fray, knowing when to reserve power for her massive blade.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: She's generally a just ruler for her dukedom and oversees her domain and people well. She even tried to get Rourke to retire honorably after seeing the injuries and losses he accumulated in the last war.
  • Revenge: Defied without going to the levels of Turn the Other Cheek. While Astrid lost many family members thanks to Lokheim, she swears that she won't let it cloud her mind.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Amongst the dukes who live in the Norman Kingdom, Astrid is the only duchess. She's also the only female knight hero.

Bijan, the Rhythm of the Sands
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aov_bijan_350x441.png
"This is the charm of the sands: The Helios' battle dance! Come on out, old friend! Bring it to the perfect end!"
Voiced by:
Faction: Helios Empire
Honor of Kings counterpart: Sun Ce/Seafarer

An orc whose ancestors migrated from Afata to reside in the Helios Empire, within the area of Slumbury, located below the Empire. The bloodline in his veins gave Bijan spiritual affinity, making him a candidate of prophets to answer to the God of Time. But Bijan was more interested in ritualistic music and dance as well as hunting activities. To avoid being forced to take the position, Bijan ran away from Slumbury to explore the Helios Empire on his own and mastering his hunting, music and dancing skills, as well as gaining a new pet: A gigantic sand beast named Oscar. Bijan managed to avoid the destruction of Helios Empire by Azzen'Ka when he was instructed by the God of Time to investigate about the shadows lurking in Norman Kingdom.

In the Norman Kingdom, Bijan works as a street performer, trying to spread the culture of Helios and Slumbury, the hometown he fondly remembers. He still does his investigation works, but while quelling black mages attacking him, he's reunited with the lost prince of Helios Empire, Murad, who is tasked by the same god to return to Helios and Slumbury to face an impending threat by Azzen'Ka.

Bijan is a sturdy Warrior/Tank hero who sustains himself with the beat of his gigantic mace and crashes into the battlefield by riding on his trusty beast, maybe while bringing a friend.

  • His passive is Sand's Gift. After waiting for 6 seconds, Bijan's next normal attack deals additional damage and restores his own HP. Additionally, if he manages to land his skills to a target or takes damage, he gains a stack of increased defense that lasts for 6 seconds, up to 10 stacks.
  • His first skill is Sand Strike. Bijan dashes forward and damages everyone in his path. Once he reaches the end of his destination, he smashes his mace to the ground, dealing damage to the area that he strikes. After a second, the ground erupts in sand geyser, knocking enemies to the air and dealing the same damage as his mace strike.
  • His second skill is Sands of Time. Bijan cleaves with his mace, dealing damage. He can then recast this twice. Each succeeding strikes will have increased damage and stacking slowing effect. This skill also resets the animation of Bijan's normal attack.
  • His ultimate is Sands of Victory. Bijan summons Oscar and rides it to the battlefield, slowly accelerating over 12 seconds. If Oscar crashes to an object or enemy or the time runs out, it sinks to the ground and deals damage to nearby enemies and knocking them to the air. Bijan can end the ride prematurely, in which he jumps from Oscar and the latter charges a bit further before sinking. During his ride, an ally coming across him will be provided with a button. When the button is pressed, they ride the beast alongside Bijan, while still being able to attack or cast skills. The ally's ride ends if a control or movement skill hits, or the duration of the charge ends too.

  • The Beast Master: He controls his sand beast whom he can summon as a ride to crash into the enemy. He calls it Oscar.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Thanks to his ultimate, Bijan can execute this by riding his beast to the battle while also carrying a friend who can be vital to win the battle, saving the rest of his friends in the nick of time. Alternatively, just passing by means that he arrives in time so his friend can hop in for a ride and escape the battle.
  • Carry a Big Stick: His weapon is an enormous, circular mace, a blunt bashing object that he uses a lot.
  • Combo: One of the more potent combos of his is bringing along Brunhilda for a ride. Since Brunhilda's ultimate is stationary, Bijan solves her problem by giving her a ride, making her way more mobile than possible.note
  • Dance Battler: Subverted. Bijan is a street performer who performs Helios battle dances. None of his skills involve dancing whatsoever, he's just swinging his mace and bashing people with it.
  • Dynamic Entry: He comes in crashing to the battlefield with high speed when he's already traveled far enough with Oscar.
  • Little Bit Beastly: He has beastly ears and furs thanks to his orc heritage.
  • Our Orcs Are Different: Orcs in Athanor are mostly Little Bit Beastly, and the only similarity it has with other orcs in media is that they're more intelligent and in touch with their spirituality like Blizzard Orcs, but even then, orcs like Bijan shows no Proud Warrior Race Guy tendencies.
  • Sand Blaster: As part of the Helios Empire and blessed with mysticism from his ancestry, Bijan can utilize sands in his arsenal. Unlike Azzen'Ka who uses it for magic damage, Bijan uses physical damage.

    Dextra, Guardian Spirit
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aov_dextra_350x441.jpg
"Ah... Carve them up!!"
Voiced by: Amber Lee Connors (EN)
Faction: Shadow Hand
Honor of Kings counterpart: N/A

A half-elf who lives on the edge of the forests of Afata. Dextra is a simple woman who's very direct in how she lives. While living her life, she stumbled upon a girl named Sinestrea, fleeing from a traumatic event in her life that cost her family. As she lost her own family too, Dextra is immediately attached to her and becomes a secondary mother figure for Sinestrea. However, a group of men under her family's murderer pursues her. Dextra guards Sinestrea as she fled, until they stumble upon the World Tree blocking their path. Dextra sacrifices her elven blood to let Sinestrea pass and return to the human world. However, Sinestrea in turn tranfuses her own blood to Dextra, allowing both to live again and connect together. Dextra now follows Sinestrea wherever she goes as her guardian, including inducting themselves into the Shadow Hand to look for the murderer of Sinestrea's family.

Dextra is a crazed, but good-willed Warrior hero who takes on the battlefield with the loud and sharp sawblade of steel blood, sustaining herself with the damage she takes in battle. She also gets a lot of boons if she's on the same team as Sinestrea.

  • Her passive is Blood Curse. Dextra's skills and normal attacks steal the enemy hero's attack damage. She can steal at most 8 times from a single hero, but can only gather 20 stacks overall.
    • This passive also has several boons if Sinestrea is on the same team. If Sinestrea uses her Blood Ghost (2nd skill), Dextra can move right next to Sinestrea and absorb her blood swords to restore Dextra's own HP. And when Sinestrea uses her Blood Ritual (kills herself to create a big explosion), Dextra can sacrifice her own whole HP, so Sinestrea respawns right after, and Dextra dies unless she has her ultimate active.
  • Her first skill is Saw Storm. Dextra charges her saw and charges up, gaining movement speed and slow immunity. She deals bonus damage in the next attack. Once her charge ends, the movement speed bonus lingers for a few seconds, and her next attack has her jump to the enemy and slow the enemy down. Additionally, after charging, a separate buzzsaw appears from the sky to strike the farthest enemy, damaging them based on the damage Dextra took during the charge and a fixed amount. After a delay, the buzzsaw returns to her and deals the same damage.
  • Her second skill is Saw Cut. Dextra deals damage to a circular area around her and restores HP for every hero hit. At the same time, her next normal attack range is increased, and she deals bonus damage.
  • Her ultimate is Demon's Gift. For a time, every damage Dextra takes is instead converted to HP recovery. She can restore herself to full HP with multiple attacks, but one attack can only restore up to 20% of her max HP.

  • The Berserker: Dextra's fighting style revolves around charging right into the enemy lines and shrugging off all damages for a time by turning them into her own HP. As a Warrior-type, she's also hard-hitting on her own to wreck the enemy ranks she charges into. Additionally, her combat lines make her sound like an actual berserker.
  • Chainsaw Good: Her saw blade is basically a chainsaw with detachable Saw Blades of Death. And it also fits her pseudo-crazy battle stance.
  • Dub Name Change: Her name is rendered as 'Kaguya' in the Japanese dub.
  • Energy Absorption: Using Demon's Gift means that every damage Dextra takes is turned into her own HP. This is why she prefers charging into the enemy ranks and getting beaten up, because that's when she will start recovering her own health and beating the crap out of her attackers.
  • Fiery Redhead: The red, blood-colored hair of Dextra signifies just how fiery and unhinged she is when she's in battle.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Dextra can absorb the damage meant for Kaguya when she tries to blow herself up with her skill. She'd usually die for this, except if Sinestrea already collected enough Blood Brambles, or Dextra has her ultimate active when this happens.
  • Large Ham: While subdued in normal times, if Dextra is actually in battle, she's perpetually screaming her words like a lunatic. If you're fighting her or have her by your side, be prepared to hear tons of growling, loud words.
  • Parental Substitute: Dextra has been Sinestrea's new mother figure ever since Sinestrea's original family members were murdered.
  • Pseudo Romantic Relationship: Officially, Dextra is just Sinestrea's guardian. But they get a little bit too close. Additionally, one of the first things Sinestrea did with Dextra was to sleep on the latter's lap.

    Errol, the Tainted

"Urgh... ugh... Let ME do this. You'll just mess it up!"
Voiced by: Kōki Uchiyama (JP)
Faction: N/A (leering to Lokheim)
Honor of Kings counterpart: N/A

Errol was one of the first demon hunters in the Norman Kingdom. Along with his big brother, he was artificially enhanced and enlisted in the army of magically-modified Demon Hunters under General Edmond, who treated Errol and his brother like the general's own sons. However, Errol was a bit weak-willed and indecisive, earning him the mocking title "Crybaby Errol". Eventually, his brother died saving him, and Errol was utterly crushed. During this time, he came in contact with a piece of Volkath's soul, which took the form of Errol's brother's voice, whispering murderous suggestions and bringing him to the dark side. Eventually, General Edmond died. It was at this time that Errol snapped, the persona of his 'big brother' taking over his body and forcing him to kill his fellow demon hunters. Pursued by fellow demon hunters, including Richter, Errol was cornered on a cliff. He ended up attempting suicide by jumping off that cliff. Errol survived that thanks to being discovered by Lokheim's ninja, Hayate. Thus began the dark chapter in his life, juggling between resisting the dark persona residing in him and the dark persona taking over his mind and committing atrocities.

Errol is a Warrior hero with extreme ferocity, his dark self excelling in drilling and crushing his enemies with his inhuman body mutation.

  • His passive is Blood Drinker. When Errol hits an enemy with his normal attack or skills, he gains a stack  which increases his movement and attack speed, and grants him a small lifesteal. If he gets another stack when he already has five, he reduces his second skill's cooldown. Additionally, his third attack will always deal extra damage and make him dash to his target.
  • His first skill is Ghostscythe. Errol dashes forward while being immune to crowd control. He deals damage to the enemy he bumps into. If he hits an enemy hero, their movement speed is reduced, he deals the same damage to those behind them, restores his HP, and reduces the cooldown time of this skill.
  • His second skill is Boneshaver. Errol's arm mutates into a giant axe/cleaver. He cleaves forward, dealing damage and reducing the movement speed of those caught in the cleave. If this hits an enemy, his next normal attack makes him dash to his target, and he also restores a portion of his HP. If he casts this skill while his passive is full, the size of the axe/cleaver arm and the damage it causes significantly increase. It also covers a larger area while knocking enemies upwards. Additionally, Errol gains crowd control immunity during this phase.
  • His ultimate is Demon Claw. Errol leaps upward, becoming untargetable. His presence is instead replaced by a moving, controllable crosshair. Those that stay in the crosshair will suffer continuous damage, be slowed down, and have their defenses reduced. After two seconds, Errol dives down to the center of the crosshair, transforming himself into a drill that deals damage and knocks up those caught in the area.

  • The Berserker: Errol fights with an extremely reckless attitude. He doesn't really pay attention to self-care; he just wants to hack and slash whoever is in front of him. Tellingly, his attacks are offensive in any manner.
  • Demon Slaying: He used to be a demon hunter, though he's a little shy about it now. A few tragedies later, he ended up being almost identical to the demons he fought.
  • Despair Event Horizon: His brother's death caused him such great despair that the soul of Volkath used it to begin worming his way into Errol's mind. Then, his father figure died. And it was then that Errol snapped.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Errol is human-shaped, but the experiments to enhance his demon hunting capabilities enable him to shapeshift his body, usually his arms, into grotesque shapes to fight off his enemies. Then he gets a Split Personality from someone who is too eager to use that grotesque body to eliminate his opponents.
  • Jekyll & Hyde: Errol is the timid but mostly good and innocent boy. And he's terrified of his other, more demonic self, who takes a more proactive stance and likes to do depravities that the default Errol wouldn't have the heart or approval to do.
  • Shrinking Violet: Errol used to be such a scrawny and shy boy, it's a bit hard to believe that he's one of the earlier Demon Hunters (around the same generation as Richter).
  • Split Personality: Errol is typically a shy young man. But his other personality, Volkath's soul posing as his brother's voice and memories, is a lot more vicious and often takes over his body because he's more fit to fight.

"Hmm... The fragrance of romance is truly intoxicating."

Faction: Casanova (Norman Kingdom)
Honor of Kings counterpart: N/Anote

Florentino is the heir of the House of Perfume, residing in the city of Casanova within the kingdom of Norman. An admirer of everything beautiful, he led a fragrant, carefree life. One day, he expressed a desire to sail somewhere around Afata to admire the beauty of the elves. Many were invited, and one of them was the daughter of the Duke of Roses, Astrid, who was not amused with Florentino's flamboyance. En route, however, the ship was attacked by knights of Okka corrupted by the Abyss. When Astrid was overwhelmed, there came Florentino, gallantly wielding his rapier to lay waste to the troops of the Abyss, protecting her and everyone on the ship. The ship returned safely, with everyone swearing an oath of silence about whatever happened there — except for how Astrid suddenly had an interest in learning swordsmanship from Florentino. Well, who is he to refuse the offer of a beautiful lady? Afterwards, Florentino continued to reside in his mansion and protect things of beauty that he came across, while also gaining political benefits from the Kingdom of Norman due to his actions.

Florentino is a fabulous Warrior/Assassin hero who forces his opponents into one on one battles where he can quickly burst them down.

  • His passive is "Shuffle". Florentino converts his first basic attack in each combat into a "Lunge" that deals additional damage and slows the target hit for an instant, while Florentino gains increased movement speed and CC immunity for an instant afterwards. If an enemy hero is hit, Florentino also heals a small amount of HP.
  • His first skill is Blossom. Florentino chucks a dart that damages and stuns the target. After that, three flowers bloom around the target. If Florentino picks any of the flowers up, his energy is restored and he can execute Lunge again. It also resets the cooldown for his second skill.
  • His second skill is Triple Threat. Florentino executes a three-hit combo that deals physical and true damage. If an enemy hero is hit, the cooldown of Blossom is reduced. The second hit knocks up enemies, and the third hit's physical damage hits twice. Once he uses all three attacks, Shuffle is triggered.
  • His ultimate is Gentleman's Duel. Florentino charges forward after a short moment and marks the enemy hit. During the duel, his opponent's armor is reduced while Florentino deals additional damage. Unmarked enemies deal half damage to Florentino and cannot affect him with CC. If Florentino wins the duel, he gains a stack that boosts his attack power for the rest of the match.

  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: People think that he's too much of a lackadaisical noble who's obsessed with beauty and not someone to take seriously. One trip featuring an attack from a horde of the Abyss later, and they changed their tune about Florentino.
  • The Casanova: He's usually surrounded by beautiful women wholeheartedly serving and admiring him in his official art. Additionally, he's always a suave man with nice words for beautiful ladies. "Casanova" isn't just his town's name.
  • Crippling Overspecialization: Florentino is your worst nightmare when it comes to dueling if your opponent is even remotely good. But this leaves his teamfight capabilities crippled and he's only good at picking off whoever strays from the formation or thinks that Florentino can be picked off in a one-on-one battle. Naturally, he's the one opponent you don't want to meet in 1 vs 1 mode.
  • Let's Fight Like Gentlemen: Downplayed. His ultimate puts a mark on an opponent to challenge them to a fight, where anyone interfering will be penalized. But aside from the debuff to his marked target and Florentino getting his own buffs, nothing stops the enemies from bearing with the penalties and pounding on Florentino anyway.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: His flamboyance aside, he's a fair and reasonable ruler of the Casanova city, beloved by his residents.
  • Royal Rapier: What kind of gallant nobleman comes to battle without an elegant rapier?

"From the dark depth, I arise!"
Voiced by: Ryota Takeuchi (JP)
Faction: Afata
Honor of Kings counterpart: (Pre-rework) Lao Fuzi/Everlasting Sage

Kil'Groth is the lord of the sea; a terrifying merfolk, ruling with extreme fanaticism, believing only in strength and how he'll kill those weaker than him, even those from the sea itself. Eventually, his strength attracted the attention of the Abyss, but Kil'Groth refused to bow down to the demons. He fought a mighty battle with the Abyssal commander, Taara, and stood his ground, but he was eventually overwhelmed. He was saved by Cresht and ended up affiliating himself with the faction of Afata. However, the desire for revenge and slaughter of the Abyssal forces still burned within Kil'Groth.

Kil'Groth is a durable Warrior who can deal considerable damage to unwary enemies with his basic attacks, which he delivers in a relentless manner.

  • His passive is The Fanatic. Kil'Groth gains a stack that boosts attack speed when he lands a basic attack. Additionally, the skill boosts the range of the third attack in his attack chain.
  • His first skill is Sea Spear. Kil'Groth charges forward, dealing physical damage and slowing enemies hit. If an enemy hero is hit, the cooldown of the ability is reduced.
  • His second skill is Enraged Spear. Passively, Kil'Groth adds magical damage for every third attack. The ability can be activated for a buff that adds magic damage and lifesteal to his basic attacks for a short period of time, with the lifesteal increased when attacking enemy heroes.
  • His ultimate is Gore Lord. Kil'Groth instantly maxes out his The Fanatic stacks. He also becomes Unstoppable and increases his movement speed for a short period. The duration of the Unstoppable buff can be increased by attacking enemy heroes.

  • Achilles' Heel: Kil'Groth has a tremendous life-steal trait, which sustains him as he fights. But those with anti-heal capabilities will cripple him greatly.
  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: Kil'Groth doesn't really have fancy skills. All he knows for skills is how to make his normal attacks more terrifying. Anyone who attempts to duel him man-to-man will eventually find themselves on a fast, repetitive beating by Kil'Groth's spear.
  • Blood Knight: There's only one thing in Kil'Groth's mind: to fight others. That's all.
  • Expy: He's the closest thing you can get for a mobile version of Slardar, minus the stun ability, but in exchange, Kil'Groth doesn't need items to continuously bash his enemies faster.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: He's a muscular merfolk who smacks his enemies around using his spear.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Kil'Groth may be affiliated with Afata, but he's a lot more bloodthirsty than the heroes around there and wasn't concerned too much with the protection of the forest or even the seas. He's just there to get revenge on the Abyss.

    Lu Bu, the Great Warlord

"Hmph! I am your sharpened blade!" Click for his old design
Voiced by: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (JP)
Faction: N/A (Wandering from Dragon Kingdom)
Honor of Kings counterpart: Cao Cao

This is not the usual Lü Bu you know of.

In the past of the Dragon Kingdom, the princes of the kingdom were divided and Fa Niu stood as the most powerful. He took in and raised several babies to be powerful fighters after pitting them against each other. Lu Bu happened to be the strongest one, as he was born with the Dragon's blood and will, granting him the title 'Great Warlord'. For a time, Lu Bu was unaware of the chaos and cruelties left behind by his battle carnage... until he met Diao Chan who told him that he's only making the people suffer while the princes of the Dragon Kingdom were enjoying themselves on top of the suffering of the people.

With the realization in mind, Lu Bu betrayed Fa Niu and killed him with the help of Diao Chan. Soon, revolution sparked throughout the Dragon Kingdom, putting an end to the princes' rule and bringing the Dragon Kingdom to an era of freedom to explore about magic further. Lu Bu and Diao Chan's name went down as folklore legends, but nobody knew where they went after Fa Niu's death. As it turned out, they retreated to a secluded area, watching over the development of Dragon Kingdom in secret.

And with the chaos erupting in Athanor and Dragon Kingdom in danger of a succession crisis, it's a good time for Lu Bu to resurface, anticipating the upcoming battle fitting for a battle maniac like him...

Lu Bu is a powerful Warrior hero with versatile abilities who can smash through enemies if allowed to build up power.

  • His passive is Martial Master. Lu Bu lowers the cooldown of his second skill when damaging enemies. Additionally, his attack speed increases after he casts any abilities.
  • His first skill is Red Stallion. Lu Bu charges forward to a selected location up to three times, dealing physical damage to enemies hit. The third charge also knocks up enemies.
  • His second skill is Impale. Lu Bu launches a blast of dark energy that slows and deals physical damage to enemies.
  • His ultimate is Conqueror. Lu Bu gains a significant strength boost, boosting his attack power, lifesteal, and CC resistance for a brief period of time.

  • Adaptational Heroism: Lu Bu is a lot more heroic than his namesake and moveset counterpart in Honor of Kings:
    • Compared to Cao Cao, Lu Bu is just a wandering warrior with interest in defending those who couldn't defend themselves, as opposed to being a ruthless warlord who would manipulate and kill his own allies if they get in his way.
    • And as opposed to Honor of Kings' Lu Bu, he never made a Deal with the Devil and is not spreading chaos for the sake it.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: While his old voicelines are the typical 'Lu Bu is a raging jerkwad' personality seen almost everywhere else, in his newer voicelines, Lu Bu has mellowed down. While still bombastic about his strength, he's also contemplating using his mighty power to bring about peace.
  • Character Development: The voiceline update allows Lu Bu to develop from his typical "strength-obsessed asshole" attitude into someone who's more heroic.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's a rough, impulsive guy who looks down on whoever is weaker than him, but he does not like weak people being trampled. He's considering the role of 'protecting the innocent'.
  • Heroic Neutral: Lu Bu is not concerned with the political power of Athanor, not even his own Dragon Kingdom. However, he's trying to be a protector of the defenseless.
  • The Rival: With Qi. Lu Bu acknowledges her strength and would like nothing more than a fair fight with her. That's if she can even find him.
  • Self-Made Orphan: Like his historical/novel counterpart, Lu Bu murdered his own adoptive father Fa Niu to be with Diao Chan. However, Fa Niu has a lot in common with Dong Zhuo, being a tyrannical person making people suffer, so Lu Bu is doing the Dragon Kingdom a service.
  • Smug Super: He's still extremely proud of his strength and will let you know as he stomps you to the ground.
  • Super-Strength: Lu Bu is powered by his own Dragon Blood; even his attacks are going to hurt. And he can even buff it up with his ultimate.

Faction: Lokheim
Honor of Kings counterpart: Lü Bu/War Fiend

One of the leaders of the Abyss. Maloch used to be a demigod member of the Veda but was ostracized for his frightening appearance. He was set up to partner with Veera and Volkath, and surprisingly, they got along so well. After an incident with the Dark Shard with Volkath which caused him to cut ties with Veda, Maloch decided to stick with his friend for the goal of exploring further of his power and descended to the Abyss where they would rule there, and Maloch's frightening appearance became exaggerated into that of a giant horned demon. Ever since then, Maloch has been leading the forces of demons of the Abyss to invade the denizens of Athanor, knowing that Volkath will follow soon.

Maloch is a demonic Warrior/Tank hero who can slowly but surely tear through unprepared enemies and also initiate combat with a mighty leap onto the battlefield.

  • His passive is Plunder. Maloch gets a boost to attack range compared to other melee fighters.
  • His first skill is Cleave. Maloch delivers an uninterruptable swing that deals considerable physical damage to enemies hit after a delay. Maloch can still move during the delay, but he can't change the direction of his swing. If he hits an enemy hero, his blade becomes enchanted. An enchanted sword allows his basic attacks and Cleave to deal True Damage and heal a percentage of his missing HP.
  • His second skill is Souleater. Maloch steals the souls of nearby enemies, damaging and slowing them. In addition, Maloch gains a shield based on the number of souls he stole.
  • His ultimate is Shock. Maloch leaps to the sky and slams onto a targeted location, damaging and knocking away enemies hit while also creating a zone that slows enemies that try to enter or exit it.

  • Adaptational Villainy: Compared to Honor of Kings' Lu Bu, Maloch is an outright Big Red Devil with genuine penchant to terrorize and torture humans, whereas Lu Bu only had demonic power while still weighed with several human qualities.
  • Big Red Devil: He's your token bigass demon lord, complete with an infernal color scheme.
  • BFS: His sword is massive and also has a longer reach than any other melee weapon.
  • Co-Dragons: He's one of the equally powerful trusted generals of Volkath, along with Veera, Marja, and Kahlii.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: Many of his lines showcase how much he's an expert in torturing humans for various things.
"Did you know there are 444 ways to skin a man?"
"Knife goes in. Guts come out."
"Humans break so easily. Not fun at all."
"I have many ways to make you talk. (pulls an Evil Laugh)"
  • Dragon Ascendant: In the event of Volkath's death by Tel'Annas, Maloch becomes the temporary leader of Lokheim. This is why, before Volkath's inclusion into the roster, Maloch looked like the overall Big Bad of the game. On Volkath's return, Maloch gladly relinquishes the leadership back to Volkath.
  • Obviously Evil: It's not too hard to think that a gigantic horned demon from the Abyss can't be anything but evil.
  • Pitiful Worms: He likens the tiny humans he meets to bugs. They are so soft and squishy and easy to crush.
  • The Legions of Hell: Maloch is in charge of leading a demonic horde from the Abyss to invade Athanor. It also helps that he appears to be a part of it and appropriate as its leader.
  • Then Let Me Be Evil: Maloch used to be a member of Veda, but he was discriminated against because he looked frightening. After further bullying and an incident directed at one of his friends that understood him, Maloch decided to stick with his friend and if he continued to be ostracized due to his frightening looks, then fine, he will be that frightening foe.
  • Unholy Matrimony: Veera was the only one that cared for him and saw through his frightening appearance back in Veda. And now that they're both Lokheim Lords, they're still a pretty stable couple.
  • Your Soul Is Mine!: Souleater allows him to steal souls, but in practice, it just serves to drain some HP and give him a shield.

    Omen, the Insatiable

"I will make your death so beautiful..."
Voiced by:
Faction: Lokheim
Honor of Kings counterpart: Lao Fuzi/Everlasting Sage

An enigmatic resident of Lokheim. His past is unknown to everyone. But one thing is certain: Omen is a man with an insatiable battle lust, attacking and slaughtering everyone in his path without regard for enemies or allies. Even Maloch found him dangerous and decided to banish him during the first invasion of Lokheim. That lasted until the attack by the humans, spearheaded by Arduin (before his corruption). With Arduin's attack actually cornering the abyssal forces, Maloch ended up having to release Omen and send him to Arduin's army. The plan worked. Omen massacred all of Arduin's forces, setting the path for Veera to kill and corrupt Arduin into the living armor that served Lokheim. But as for Omen, he slithered away from the battlefield, with no one knowing when or where he'll reappear and begin another slaughter.

Omen is a Warrior hero who unleashes a relentless barrage of attacks to bring his opponents to their knees while also relishing every damage given to him.

  • His passive is Thirst. Omen gets a stack when using a basic attack on an enemy. After he gathers 5 stacks, Omen temporarily gains increased movement and attack speed, and his basic attacks deal additional true damage and reduce the cooldown for his normal abilities. In addition, the third normal attack in his attack chain deals 1.5x damage over two hits, with each hit granting a stack.
  • His first ability is Death's Beckon. Omen brandishes his whip and pulls nearby enemies to him, dealing physical damage and slowing them.
  • His second ability is Untouchable. Omen gets a massive damage reduction and considerable movement speed bonus for a couple seconds. In addition, he can reflect one basic attack from each enemy hero during that period, dealing physical damage and slowing them.
  • His ultimate is Death's Embrace. Omen charges in a direction, dealing physical damage to an enemy hero he crashes into. The enemy is then temporarily cursed; their attack power is reduced, and they cannot move too far away from the point of impact.

  • Adaptational Villainy: Lao Fu Zi was a cranky, but wise and respected teacher, while Omen is an Ax-Crazy loose cannon with penchant of murdering other people.
  • Ax-Crazy: He's got a lot of screws loose in his head, considering his battle lust and indiscriminate murder spree, and he's enjoying every moment of it.
  • The Berserker: An example of an extremely dangerous berserker. If Omen gets into a battle, he's all in for attacking and inflicting damage. He disregards damage to both himself and his allies; he'll kill his allies the same way he kills his enemies without caring how many wounds he procures in the process.
  • Blood Knight: There's only one thing that Omen craves: fighting others. And he's insatiably murder-happy.
  • Godzilla Threshold: Serves as the 'last option' for the Lokheim forces. If things go really south and need solutions that involve death, then Omen will be released.
  • Mysterious Past: One of the biggest enigmas of Athanor. Not even the higher-ups in Lokheim can deduce who he is and where he came from.
  • Whip Sword: His weapon is a bladed whip. It's not something special, but Omen is happy enough to use it well to fight and kill.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: He's one of the heroes who have clear white hair, and he's an extremely murderous brute.

    Qi, The Brawler

"My punches are faster than lightning!"
Voiced by: Saori Onishi (JP)
Faction: Dragon Kingdom
Honor of Kings counterpart: Dharma/Enlightened Fist

Qi is the heir of the Sungming school of martial arts and was taught by her father about what it means to fight. She inherited the school after her father died of illness, and then she sold everything not tied to the dojo and left for a journey, hearing about a great warrior, warlord, and fighter hailing from the same Dragon Kingdom as her, Lu Bu, and hoping to beat him to restore the prestige of the dojo. She has No Sense of Direction, but is always willing to help the helpless. She also takes Yue as her apprentice, but is unaware of her hidden agenda.

Qi is a Warrior/Assassin hero who excels in dueling, beating her opponents to a pulp with her bare hands and some chi manipulation.

  • Her passive is Protection Aura. Qi gets natural extra armor, and if she hits an enemy with any of her skills, for the next two normal attacks, she gets extra attack speed, extra damage, and life steal.
  • Her first skill is Meteoroid. Qi charges forward for a back shoulder tackle, attacking, knocking up, and slightly pushing enemies caught in line.
  • Her second skill is Mountain Shaker. Qi channels a surge of chi energy forward, damaging any enemies caught in the surge of power per second and reducing their armor.
  • Her Ultimate is Dragon's Bane. It has two phases:
    • In the first phase, Qi does a stand still attack that knocks back enemies. It deals more damage and stuns enemies if they hit a wall.
    • If the first phase hits an enemy (regardless of whether it hits a wall or not), Qi can then execute the second phase, where she charges forward and through the enemies in a line, damaging anyone in the path. However, she cannot immediately use the second phase if she didn't knock the enemy to a wall before; she has to wait a few seconds for it. If she succeeds in knocking the enemy to a wall, she can immediately use the second phase.

  • Adaptational Comic Relief: Qi's story and personality are generally much more lighthearted, and she possesses many comical traits: Aside of her ridiculously-sized breasts, she has No Sense of Direction, is constantly looking for a way to escape poverty and hunger, can suffer Lost Food Grievance if her meat buns got dropped, and is unaware of Yue's darker sides, taking the situation more like a simplistic 'helping people' views. This contrasts heavily with Dharma's much more serious story, which involves being betrayed by and slaughtering his evil family members, banished by his own people for ruining his kingdom, having to contemplate whether he's evil or not, and resolving to be an honest-to-Buddha atoner.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: In the English version, despite her dumb disposition, Qi has a low-toned voice to represent her own introspectiveness and the role as a dojo teacher. In the Japanese (and Chinese), she sounds more like a cheery, a bit of a Genki Girl who befits her status as an Idiot Hero (though deadly when she gets serious).
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: She's a martial artist heavily dependent on her fists to defeat her enemies.
  • Big Eater: She really likes to eat, which is why she carries her favorite food all the time and is always looking for things to feed her family and dojo.
  • Cute Bruiser: She's generally a perky martial artist girl who packs a punch with her strength.
  • Combo: Her skills alone generally are unremarkable, but Qi benefits from chaining these skills together while also inserting normal attacks for a long, sustained battle, preferably duels.
  • Heir to the Dojo: She inherits the Sungming dojo from her father, and tries to find a way to manage it.
  • Jiggle Physics: While there are other big boobed female heroes in the game, Qi has the distinction of being the only female whose boobs are allowed to bounce during her opening animation, if only briefly.
  • Male Might, Female Finesse: For her male Honor of Kings counterpart.
    • Qi's secondary class is Assassin, as opposed to Dharma's Tank, so she's more about how she can keep the enemy in place and kill them with her skills.
    • She can store up to 4 stacks, but her passive deals less damage when consuming one stack, compared to Dharma who can only store 2 stacks, but they deal greater damage.
    • While both technically have the same kit, Qi's second skill is an outburst of chi power in a Sphere of Destruction, compared to Dharma's Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Qi's bouncy boobs and skin-tight vest (which also reveals her shoulders and armpits) make her the #1 human fanservice provider of the game. Some of her alternate skins also gives her a partially see-through vest for other parts of her skin.
  • No Sense of Direction: She's hopeless at following directions. She has traveled through various places in Athanor and yet can't find the neighboring Lu Bu, who resides in the Dragon Kingdom.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Meat Buns. Drop it from her hand in front of her at your own peril.
  • Unwitting Pawn: She accepts Yue as a student because she looks like a helpless princess. Unfortunately, Qi is unaware of Yue's darker, manipulative side, which she would not hesitate to do to Qi herself.

    Richter, the Imbued

"No sense in running from me."
Voiced by: Doug Cockle (EN), Tomoaki Maeno (JP)
Faction: Mercenary/ex-Demon Hunters (Norman Kingdom)
Honor of Kings counterpart: N/A

A man of Mysterious Past who was discovered by the Demon Hunters and quickly rose through their ranks due to his talent in swordsmanship and black magic. Richter contributed to ushering the Demon Hunters into their golden age, but as black magic became disdained, the Demon Hunters were disbanded. Now, Richter works as a mercenary, usually finding work within the Kingdom of Norman, the only hint to his past as it was his origin.

Richter is a Warrior hero who adapts his fighting style based on his surroundings, relentlessly chasing his enemies, countering the attacks thrown at him and disabling them.
  • His passive is Battle Instinct. Richter gets a buff when he stays in one type of terrain for a period of time, with brush increasing his attack speed, riverbeds increasing his movement speed, and roads granting damage reduction. He also gains a small boost to movement speed when switching between terrain.
  • His first skill is Jungle Strike. Richter charges forward and slashes the enemies in his path. Afterwards, his next attack homes in on his target and deals bonus magic damage. Bush allows Jungle Strike to knock up enemies, while riverbeds increase the distance of the charge. Jungle Strike does not go on cooldown when it hits an enemy, but it does if it's used too many times in quick succession.
  • His second skill is Retaliate. Richter becomes invincible and unstoppable for a brief moment before dealing physical damage to nearby enemies and stunning them if he blocks any CC.
  • His ultimate is Mark of the Hunter. Richter creates an aura around himself that damages and marks enemies nearby. If the marked foe is damaged five times before the mark expires, the mark is consumed, dealing considerable physical damage and silencing them for a moment.

  • Adaptational Personality Change: On the English version, Richter possesses a gruff and gravely voice to portray himself as a grim Shell-Shocked Veteran and an Expy of Geralt of Rivia. When the voice is turned into Japan, thanks to Tomoaki Maeno's performance, Richter sounds younger despite already having a goatee, making him closer to a laid back Big Brother Mentor who knows when to get serious.
  • Barely-Changed Dub Name: On some servers, he's called 'Riktor' rather than Richter. It's a close enough spelling.
  • Big Brother Mentor: He's one of the first generations of Demon Hunters. Both Valhein and Violet are basically his juniors, and sometimes he does look out for them. He's also a direct one to Kaine.
  • Demon Slaying: He is a skilled demon hunter. In the past, he took his group of demon hunters to their golden age, until their specialty was considered too dangerous.
  • Does Not Like Magic: Despite his black magic talent, Richter has not used it a lot ever since it became disdained. His lines imply that, generally, he has low opinions about magic and mages in general.
"I wouldn't trust a mage as far as I can throw them."
  • Difficult, but Awesome: Richter is a top-tier hero who deals considerable amounts of damage and has a sense of tankiness. But... yeah, good luck adapting between where he stands, setting up ambushes to make sure that you get the right Battle Instinct at the right time and in the middle of chaotic battles.
  • Expy: A white-haired sword-wielding demon hunter with a grizzled outlook and being an adept in magic. Richter is Tencent's answer to Geralt of Rivia. Bonus points for sharing the same VA.
  • Magic Knight: He's both an excellent swordsman and black magic user, though his black magic side is less shown in actual gameplay, except maybe his Mark of the Hunter. Most likely because he's not a fan of magic in general.
  • Mysterious Past: Aside from how he originated from the Kingdom of Norman, no one knew about his past and how he ended up alone when found by the Demon Hunters... with adept black magic skills to boot.
  • Silver Fox: His hair has noticeably grayed and he's definitely not what you call a pretty boy, what with his mustache on display and his deep, gravelly voice (and he isn't a blatant muscular Manly Man). Richter is still considered one of the most attractive older men in the cast.
  • Stance System: Richter switches the effects of his abilities and play style not on command, but he depends on where he's standing, and he has to stay idle for a few seconds before he changes stance, making it a combination with Situational Sword.

    Rourke, the Captain

"*whistle* Hrrgh-khh! Yeah! Come to papa! Hyeah..."
Voiced by:
Faction: Norman Kingdom
Honor of Kings counterpart: Liu Bei

Rourke is a war veteran. He lost a lot in various wars in the name of protecting the people, from his right arm, which was severed by a demon attack, to this entire family; but there's one thing he never lost: his perpetual smile and outlook on life. Astrid granted him a manor to live in during his retirement, but Rourke grew tired of not protecting people, so he gave his manor to some of his battle comrades and moved to the Federation of Free with a letter of recommendation from Astrid, becoming a captain who guards a small town. As a token of gratitude, the townspeople crafted him a prosthetic arm that doubles as a crossbow, and he's more than content to bring violence to whatever tries to endanger his town.

Rourke is a unique Warrior/Marksman hero, meaning that he has a shorter range than other marksmen, but he's deadlier when up close with his burst damage and ability to withstand hits.

  • His passive is Scattershot. Rourke's basic attacks fire four shots at once. Not only does this make Rourke's basic attacks stronger than those of other Marksmen if the majority of the shots hit, each bolt shreds the armour of enemy heroes hit. Therefore, Rourke is encouraged to get even closer to maximize his damage.
  • His first ability is Charged Shot. Rourke gets increased movement speed and empowers his next attack to deal increased physical damage, as well as slowing a target hit with all four bolts.
  • His second ability is Bolt. Rourke charges forward, stuns and knocks back the first enemy he crashes into and and other nearby enemies. This skill is mostly used to enable his passive more.
  • His ultimate is Determination. Rourke cleanses himself of all crowd control and gains a shield. For a few seconds afterwards, Rourke receives increased attack power and armor, as well as crowd control immunity while the shield is active. To help keep the shield up, a portion of the damage Rourke deals replenishes it, thus he's encouraged to continuously attack.

  • An Arm and a Leg: When the enemy cursed his left arm, he severed it. He has since replaced his lost arm with a prosthetic one.
  • Arm Cannon: For his deeds and his sacrifice in the war, a craftsman from his new town forged him a prosthetic arm with an Automatic Crossbow when he chose to become captain again to protect his new town.
  • Close-Range Combatant: Rourke is a marksman, yet despite his already close range, he's encouraged to get even closer to maximize his damage. This is why he's mostly listed as a Jungler.
  • Determinator: He lost his arm, family, and has been told to retire. Rourke will have none of those. He'll move to somewhere else that needs protection. So long as he draws breath, he'll never stop fighting for the people. This is also shown in his ult: So long as he keeps attacking, he won't die that easily (or never at all) because his attacks fill up more shields to eat up any incoming damage.
  • The Good Captain: Captain Rourke is always your 'doing good' captain on whom you can rely for protection.
  • Lantern Jaw of Justice: He noticeably has a square-shaped chin, and he's a jolly good heroic captain and leader, his Superhero skin notwithstanding.
  • Noodle Incident: While not mentioned anywhere in his profile or tooltip, Rourke has a line where he wonders the endgame of Gildur. This implies that there is an unknown incident where Rourke got screwed over by Gildur.
  • Officer and a Gentleman: Despite his position and tragedies, he is always whistling and generally a jolly and yet courteous man/officer.
  • The Pollyanna: Despite having lost his family, brothers-in-arms, and an arm in wars, Rourke is always cheerful and upbeat. He always looks on the bright side of life, defying the trope Shell-Shocked Veteran.

The heir of an accomplished general of the Dragon Kingdom, this man grew up to succeed in his father's position. One day, his father disappeared, and news reached the kingdom that his father might be stealing a sacred tribute he was assigned to protect. The man believed his father was innocent, but no one believed him, and his whole family was convicted. His mother sacrificed her life to protect him and urged him to look for his father to find the truth. Afterwards, the man lived the life of a Ronin, changing his name to "Ryoma". After helping the ninjas of Mist Island, the ninjas agreed to help Ryoma in his quest to clear his family's honor.

Ryoma is a Warrior/Assassin who utilizes the range of his naginata to deal massive damage to his enemies.
  • His passive is Naginatajutsu. Ryoma modifies his normal attack every 5 seconds to have greater range, deals more damage, and reduces enemy movement speed. The slash creates a shadow wave at the edge of the slash, and if the enemy is hit in that spot, they will receive extra damage.
  • His first skill is Pinwheel. Ryoma slashes while doing a backflip, moving backwards. If this hits an enemy hero, the cooldown will be reduced.
  • His second skill is Wailing Blade. Ryoma thrusts his Naginata forward, unleashing an extra shadow thrust, dealing damage to all enemies hit. The closest enemies hit will take more damage, while enemies hit at the edge of his thrust will be stunned.
  • His ultimate is Spectral Ire. Ryoma thrusts his Naginata several times forward, dealing damage to all enemies in a cone and healing him per thrust.

  • All Asians Wear Conical Straw Hats: Ryoma wears a conical metal hat shaped like a straw hat, as befits his Japanese appearance. But he's actually a subversion, as he's the only one who wears this, while other "Asian" characters like Lu Bu, Diao Chan, or any resident of the Mist Islands do not.
  • Bilingual Bonus: The Bloodthirst skin has him speak Japanese that is in no way gratuitous at all. He even has a famous Japanese voice actor doing the voiceover.
  • Clear My Name: His entire family's names have been tainted, and he's looking for his father in the hopes that he can clear them.
  • Death by a Thousand Cuts: His ultimate skill has him thrust and cut multiple times forward. As a bonus, he also gets to drain his targets' lives.
  • Rōnin: A wandering blademaster with no allegiance to speak of. His relationship with the people of Mist Island is strictly "acquaintances with each other"; he hasn't sworn loyalty to them yet.
  • Samurai: He has all the makings of a prestigious Dragon Kingdom Samurai. And then shits happen. He loses his prestige, and he's reduced to a Rōnin.

"RAHAHAHAHA! GRRGH!! PULVERIZE!"
Voiced by: Taiten Kusunoki (JP)
Faction: Lokheim
Honor of Kings counterpart: (Pre-rework) Dharma/Enlightened Fist

Skud is the greatest creation of Mganga, a brutish war machine who lives only to smash and pulverize his opponents, usually those who oppose Lokheim. Even if he is already powerful, something was missing: extra firepower. And thus, Mganga assigned Skud under Preyta to assault the Castle of Alchemy, located somewhere in the Free Federation, and guarded by the veteran dwarf inventor Moren. Skud's brutality clashed with the Veda robotic construct Omega and he prevailed. After wrecking the castle, he stole an artificial power glove. After bringing it to Lokheim, Mganga fine-tuned the glove for Skud to wield. Now, stronger than ever, Skud awaits the next target to crush beneath his giant fist.

Skud is a Warrior/Tank who uses his power glove to either control the battlefield or take a good chunk of enemy HP in an instant, all while withstanding damage.

  • His passive is Life Armor. Skud naturally deals more damage to enemies with lower maximum HP than him. Therefore, squishy heroes are basically his best targets. He also passively gains more max HP.
  • His first ability is Furious Charge. Skud dashes forward and deals damage to those in his path. If he manages to hit an enemy, he temporarily enhances both his attack speed and the extra damage from his passive and second skill.
  • His second ability is Power Glove. Skud charges his glove, gaining movement speed for awhile until it eventually decays. During this state, his next attack will deal tremendous damage, slow down his target, and reduce the skill cooldown by half.
  • His ultimate is Wild Beast Fury. Skud charges for a short while, gaining crowd control immunity, before unleashing a spinning strike that knocks back enemies caught in the spin. Passively, as long as this skill is not on cooldown, Skud restores a portion of his HP if he kills a jungle creep.

  • Adaptational Villainy: Before Dharma is reworked to become Qi's counterpart, Skud serves as a straight example of this for Dharma: Instead of a virtuous monk, he's a brutish war machine only caring about how many he can destroy.
  • Artificial Human: There's no information on where Skud originated, so it is most likely that he was created in a lab within Lokheim, something Mganga could have done. He's also a bit robotic, despite his huge, muscular humanoid shape.
  • The Brute: The Lokheim-aligned Skud is all about powering through his enemies with pure brute strength. He's so brutish that he excels at taking down those punier than him (possessing lower maximum HP).
  • Dumb Muscle: Strength-wise, he's impressive. In terms of eloquence... Skud's vocabulary is a bit limited, and he has a tendency to wreck lab equipment by accident. Mganga chided him a lot for it, but it doesn't help much.
  • The Juggernaut: Skud is a walking demolisher. He can charge up, temporarily ignore crowd controls, and once he gets into the enemy's ranks (in which his first skill allows him to get into the fray quicker), he can wreak havoc with sheer power alone.
  • Power Fist: Skud is already a powerful being, but his massive power glove amplifies his already formidable strength.

Faction: N/A (DC Universe)
Honor of Kings counterpart: Guan Yu/Horseback Champion

The son of Kryptonian scientist Jor-El, sent to Earth for his safety, growing up as Clark Joseph Kent, eventually becoming one of Earth's mightiest superheroes. In his pursuit of truth and justice, Superman has made many friends and foes. During a battle with one of his Arch-Enemy Brainiac, Superman discovered that Jor-El was researching the Andura Stones, which originated from Athanor and had the potential to be a power source which could devastate the world. Superman then ventured to Athanor to secure the Andura Stones and make sure that no one, Brainiac included, would abuse the power and destroy anyone else.

Superman is a Warrior/Tank hero, roaming through the battlefield and taking his enemies out with sheer might and the strength of a Kryptonian.
  • His passive is Flight. Superman has two stances, "walking" and "flying", and he accumulates charge as he walks. When he has enough charge, he will fly, granting additional movement speed. His attack will be a flying tackle that gains bonus damage the more HP he has, and all of his skills will be aimed at being in front of him instead of flickering the skill button. Entering different stances will alter his skill set.
  • His first skill is Kryptonian Strength. They depend on which stance he's currently in.
    • In his walking stance, Superman uses his freezing breath in an arc to damage and slow nearby enemies. This ability can be stored for two charges.
    • In his flying stance, Superman charges at the enemy as if performing a normal attack, but then follows up with his heat vision, dealing damage to all enemies in a straight line.
  • His second skill is Man of Steel, once again depending on which stance Superman is in.
    • In his walking stance, Superman removes all of his crowd control effects and gains movement speed, which allows him to charge his passive faster.
    • In his flying stance, Superman leaps and punches the ground, knocking away nearby enemies and also gaining movement speed.
  • His Ultimate is Speeding Bullet. It will depend on which stance Superman is in.
    • In his walking stance, Superman gains a buff that his passive will fill up faster. This allows him to change his stance into the flying stance much faster than before.
    • In his flying stance, Superman gets the same buff as the above, while also adding up a powered up normal attack that covers a wider area.

  • Difficult, but Awesome: He's not a newbie-friendly character, since Supes needs to juggle his two separate movesets, one of which is only accessible by running around several times first, and then they're only aiming forward. Those who don't really understand Supes' gameplay will become easy feeders. However, if you get by that, Supes is a dangerous superhero who's faster than you and stronger than you with every punch he throws. He's constantly banned in ranked because a good Superman is a terror on the battlefield.
  • Flight: He can fly after he has walked several distances. And this changes his moveset.
  • Flying Brick: A typical superhero with the ability to fly, superstrength, and toughness... and he also hits like a brick.
  • Humble Hero: One of his selection quotes in the Info screen can have him say he's just 'a boy from Kansas', not some fancy superpowered man, which is one of Superman's core personalities.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Superman is frequently a top-tier character because he moves quickly while still hitting like a truck on normal attack alone. And just when you think you've got him under control, he shrugs off your crowd control and resumes beating you up while hounding you.
  • No-Sell: The skill Man of Steel allows him to shrug off every crowd control he has been inflicted with, including stuns. But only if he has been inflicted by it. If he activates Man of Steel before he gets CC'd, he'll still get CC'd.
  • Not the Intended Use: Superman is designated as a Warrior/Tank, but thanks to his flight making him an excellent roamer, he's more often played as a Warrior/Assassin, flanking his enemies or invading jungles (but not jungling himself).
  • Stance System: He has two stances: Walking or Flying. The latter only activates if he keeps walking after a certain distance. This changes whether he's using his skills for self-buffs (aside from his ice breath vs heat vision) or offense. Thankfully, his Ultimate can accelerate the time he gains momentum.

"The cries of the dead cut deep into my soul."
Voiced by: Ted Evans (EN)
Faction: Mist Island
Honor of Kings counterpart: N/A

Tachi is an incarnation of the long-lost first Kunoichi of the Mist Islands. He is the island's revered guardian, wielding the legendary sword Song of Fangs, which some say is his body; his humanoid form is simply an avatar for the people he protects. He is known to be slow to act but swift to finish what needs to be done, no matter how many tears of compassion fall from his eyes to honor the fallen. He has watched the history of the Mist Islands flow through time, but the signs of the Dragon that guards the island are weakening. And so, Tachi takes it upon himself to leave the island for the land of Athanor, for the salvation of the island.

Tachi is a versatile Warrior hero who wields his blade to strike enemies from various directions to unlock the true, deadly potential of his blade.

  • His passive is Spellbound. Tachi possesses four marks in four diagonal directions. If he attacks in one of the directions, he activates the mark, deals extra damage based on the enemy's max HP, and restores his HP. Once all marks are activated, Tachi gains bonus attack speed and a hefty shield based on his attack damage, and his attacks deal true damage. If the seal has been broken or finished, Tachi gains an additional shield if he manages to hit the enemy three times with normal attacks before the seal is broken.
  • His first skill is Moon Pierce. Tachi shoots a Sword Beam to enemies in front of him, dealing damage and slows everyone hit, and doing more damage to non-heroes. If his passive is unsealed, he casts the spell Cleave (deals damage to nearby enemies) and charges up, gaining crowd control immunity and damage reduction while still being able to move at a slower rate, and then, once the charge is complete, he unleashes an even wider Sword Beam that deals true damage to everyone hit.
  • His second skill is Brow Beat. Tachi dashes, and at the end of the dash, he does a circular slash. Both the dash and circular slash deal separate damage. He can store up to 2 dashes, and hitting his enemies 3 times with normal attacks after unsealing his passive lowers the skill cooldown. He can also use this skill to reposition while charging the upgraded Moon Pierce, but it will not deal damage.
  • His ultimate is Cliff Breaker. Tachi gains damage reduction and crowd control immunity as he leaps in a direction, cross-slashes in the air until the effect is felt on the ground, dealing damage and slowing enemies per slash. He then slashes downwards, dealing damage based on the enemies' lost HP. His passive is immediately unsealed once he lands.

  • Crossdressing Voice: He's voiced by a woman in Japan. In that version, Tachi is the only adult male in there with a female voice (the trope was traditionally reserved for younger boys), and his mastery of swordsmanship makes him feel like someone from Uesugi or Himura Kenshin.
  • Does Not Like Spam: Fish is his least favorite food, even though it's basically a common delicacy in the Mist Islands.
  • Difficult, but Awesome: Tachi is a bit complex and unlocking his true potential every time is difficult to master. On the other hand, a properly used Tachi is known to wipe out enemies during team fights with ease due to how he's basically handing out true damage in a wide area.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: He has long hair, a feminine face, and is said to be an incarnation of the first Kunoichi. Additionally, in Japan, he's voiced by a woman.
  • Eyes Always Shut: He never opens his eyes. He can see just fine, though.
  • Limit Break: Despite being the first skill, Moon Pierce is basically Tachi's greatest damage tool, as it deals massive true damage in a wide area if it's ever charged fully. However, breaking said limit without just tapping his Ultimate is easier said than done, since Tachi needs to hit in all four directions first and a good enemy will not just let that happen.
  • Master Swordsman: In a MOBA game like this, he's the stereotypical 'Japanese Swordsman'. He wields an actual katana, not a naginata like Ryoma.
  • Pals with Jesus: He's an incarnation of the first Kunoichi, so he's practically walking around with and befriending people that worship him.
  • Tender Tears: Even in his opening animation, Tachi sheds a tear to show his compassion for his enemies that he's about to slice up.
  • Warrior Poet: He's known to recite poems after felling his enemies. He has a tendency to insert poetry into his daily talks, confusing the hell out of people.

Faction: Shadow Hand
Honor of Kings counterpart: N/A

An orphan in the Free Federation, at the age of 13, Veres was brought to Quillen as a member of his Shadow Hand. He immediately threw her to the Reapers, where orphans murder each other and only the strong survive. Driven by her admiration for Quillen, Veres not only survived the Reapers and trained further, but Quillen thought there was one more assassin he trained that was more powerful than her: the traitor Amily. Veres decided to take the gamble of contacting the Abyss and being infused with the dark power there, granting her extraordinary abilities while hoping her training will let her prevent eventual corruption, and she hopes to settle the score with Amily to prove that she's the best assassin, and finally Quillen will admit her as his best assassin.

Veres is a Warrior hero with exceptional mobility, in addition to positioning manipulation, being able to sustain attacks and return them to her enemies as long as she stays aggressive.

  • Her passive is Bloody Kiss, where every time Veres attacks, she gains a stack of Serpent Blood, which lasts for 5 seconds. After she gains 4 stacks, Veres then gains crowd control immunity and increased speed. While she charges up for one second, she unleashes a circular attack around her, hitting everyone in range (but not those overly close to her), draining life with greater potency when her HP is lower and reducing her other skills' cooldown.
  • Her first skill is Bloody Fang. Veres' metal snake familiar splits into two and attacks at one point, dealing everyone damage and reducing the speed of the targets. If both snakes hit a target, they are stunned. If a hero is hit, Veres gains Serpent Blood stack for each hero hit.
  • Her second skill, Serpent's Embrace, gets Veres to shoot her snake forward to a line, attacking everything in sight. Those closer to her get pushed away, and those further to her get dragged to a medium position away from her. Each hero hit will give her a Serpent Blood stack each.
  • Her ultimate is Venom. Veres dashes forward and smashes the ground, dealing area damage based on her lost HP and dealing true damage. If she hits a hero, she gets a massive attack damage and armor pierce bonus for 6 seconds.

  • Always Second Best: She feels like Amily always one-ups her in terms of ability and prowess as an assassin. Furthermore, Amily betrayed the Shadow Hands, and Veres believes that she'll get out of this trope if she defeats Amily.
  • Animal Motifs: Snakes. Veres is using a snake-like whip familiar, and her skill names have things to do with snakes and serpents.
  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: There are only a few retreat options for Veres. Even if her ultimate is a dash, it's more encouraged to use it as a gap closer/offensive tool since it gives her a massive bonus to eliminate her target. Her skills are mostly set to encourage her to keep fighting and unloading every skill she has, triggering Bloody Kiss more and more the more she gains her Serpent Blood stacks, even when surrounded (which is why she's not classed as an Assassin. Good thing she has sustain.)
  • Dominatrix: She gives the vibe of a restraining dominatrix, wearing a skin-tight suit and using her snake familiar like a whip.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Even if she's trying to please Quillen, even Veres thinks that dealing with Lorion is like walking to a landmine. However, Quillen convinces her to put up with it for the sake of his overall goal.
  • Evil Redhead: She is a ruthless assassin, and she has bloody red hair.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: While she is most likely not as evil as her master, Veres is still a ruthless figure who also happens to wear glasses and also conducts herself in a more professional manner.
  • Life Drain: Bloody Kiss gives her great sustain and produces better results when Veres' HP is low.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She doesn't need to show some skin to provide fanservice. The fact that she's a tall figure with gorgeous long red hair and her suit is basically skin-tight and also shows her shapely body makes her fit. Not to mention, for those who find glasses sexy, Veres is your gal.
  • Spy Catsuit: Her suit looks very tight and form-fitting, which works well for her assassin status. Even if she's not the one to use stealth.
  • Unknown Rival: Veres is hell-bent on beating Amily to win back Quillen's approval. Amily just doesn't give a damn about her, she has other priorities.
  • "Well Done, Daughter!" Gal: All she wants is for Quillen, her father/teacher figure, to approve of her. For him, she'll do anything.

"Light is fleeting. Darkness is forever."

Faction: Lokheim
Honor of Kings counterpart: N/A

One of the main lords of Lokheim. Formerly an Archon who was gang-pressed to stay at Mt. Orphean by the ancient Veda, Volkath nonetheless became the most favored apprentice of Edras while also somehow being a ladies' man, attracting no less than three influential ladies from Veda; Marja, Kahlii, and Ilumia. He's also friends with Maloch and Veera. Volkath, on the other hand, became intrigued by the less restrictive power of the Abyss and Dark Andura Stone and began experimenting with it, with some encouragement from both Marja and Veera. Edras took notice and tried to dissuade him from the path of darkness, but eventually their disagreement came to a boiling point when Volkath initiated a fatal rebellion that claimed Edras' life. Hunted down by Veda, Volkath escaped along with Maloch, Veera, and Kahlii into the Abyss, with Marja joining in late for several reasons, eventually forming the Lokheim, where he became one of its leaders and was eager to show the world the truth of darkness and the lies of light that he had learned so far. Despite being felled by Tel'Annas during an invasion of Afata, Volkath managed to recover enough strength to launch another invasion later.

Volkath is a Warrior/Assassin hero capable of sticking to his enemies and dealing burst damage while riding his mighty steed to battle.

  • His passive is Doom Lord. Everytime Volkath deals damage to the enemy, he gives them a Doom Mark. The mark explodes after Volkath stacks up to four marks, dealing extra damage to the enemy and granting Volkath a shield.
  • His first skill is Death Sweep. Volkath spins around with his sword, dealing damage. If the enemy has a Doom Mark on it, he also shortly stuns them.
  • His second skill is Execution. Volkath shoots out a dark claw that grips the first enemy hit and deals damage and gives a Dark Mark. As long as that Dark Mark remains, Volkath can recast this ability to teleport right next to the enemy and deal damage. If the enemy dies with this, Volkath resets the skill cooldown and refunds his mana.
  • His ultimate skill is Ultima. Volkath cleanses all crowd control and gets on his horse, temporarily riding with increased movement speed and his attacks become a circular sweep that procs on-hit effects and drains enemy HP. If recast or the time runs out, Volkath dismounts, dealing damage and knocking back, and becomes a Doom Lord, where he cannot die for 3.5 seconds.

  • A Pupil of Mine Until He Turned to Evil: He used to be the brightest of Edras' students, but then he got too curious about the power of the Abyss and offed his master.
  • Big Bad: He's the main antagonist of the whole setting as the de facto leader of the abyssal forces of Lokheim with the goal of conquering Athanor.
  • Black Knight: He just lacks the imposing helmet, but otherwise, Volkath is a dark knight type with black imposing armor and rides a mighty, hellish steed.
  • Chick Magnet: When he was training with Edras, apparently, Volkath was such a charismatic stud that three female heroes fell for him.
  • Evil Overlord: He certainly fits the look. He's ominous, dark-armored, and rides a Hellish Horse. He just lacks the typical helmet.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Downplayed. Volkath has long hair and defies the muscular macho evil man archetype, but he has permanent red eyes that make him look more eerie than pretty.
  • Mounted Combat: When using his ultimate, he rides on his horse and attacks from there. He can get off that horse anytime he wants and gain further bonuses from that (including the temporary inability to die).
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Volkath, as one of Lokheim's heads, is dressed in a red-black outfit. He does have white hair, but then...
  • Unholy Matrimony: Ultimately, amongst all the Veda maidens that fell for him, Volkath chose Marja, and after she descended to Lokheim, they resumed their relationship together.
  • The Unfettered: For Volkath, morality means nothing if it means allowing him to be free and unshackled from restraints. This is why he kept claiming that Light Is Not Good, with some seedy Veda members not helping their case in shutting down Volkath's claims.

Born from the island of Themiscyra, Diana is the princess of the Amazons, immortal warrior women of the Greek mythology. She came in contact with men's world via the pilot Steve Trevor, and from there, she would become known as Wonder Woman. She learnt about mankind from there, from their qualities to their flaws. And with her super strength, reflecting bracelets, the Lasso of Truth at hand, she's usually ready to promote peace to the world, being a member of the Justice League.

One day, Wonder Woman received a message from her mother Hippolyta, where she learned that her mother had an affair with Zeus. This led her to a fight against a jealous Hera, but Wonder Woman managed to inquire information by binding Hera with the Lasso of Truth: It turns out Zeus has gone missing and Olympus in disarray with gods fighting. Zeus was looking for the source of the gods' power: a star rumored to be the center of the universe and located in a realm called Athanor. After processing the warning about the power of the people in Athanor, Wonder Woman jumps to the realm to ensure the safety of Olympus, Earth and humanity.

Wonder Woman is a Warrior hero who excels at isolating priority targets and leading her allies to battle in the front.

  • Her passive is Amazon Shield. Wonder Woman throws her shield on every third basic attack, dealing additional true damage and slowing enemies hit, as well as restoring her own HP.
  • Her first ability is Sword And Shield. Wonder Woman dashes to execute a two-hit combo. The first hit is a shield bash that deals physical damage and slows the target while giving Wonder Woman damage reduction if she hits a hero. She can reactivate the skill to follow up with a slash that deals double damage to those hit on the center. All of these attacks scales with the target's max HP.
  • Her second ability is Lasso Of Truth. Wonder Woman launches her lasso to grab an enemy, dealing physical damage and stunning the target. If her target is below 50% HP, her target will be pulled over to her, otherwise she'll jump to her target instead.
  • Her ultimate is Bracelets of Submission. Wonder Woman builds up energy for a short time, gaining very high damage reduction during this period, and then smashes her bracelets together, unleashing a wave that deals heavy damage in an area and stuns the enemies in front of her. In the meantime, she and her allies behind her receive shield that scales with her maximum HP.

  • Action Girl: It's Wonder Woman, usually known as the premiere superheroine in fiction. She's a lot more home being a close-ranged bruiser.
  • Frontline General: Thanks to her ultimate, Wonder Woman is encouraged to lead the pack (or at least be the first after the tank initiates if she's not the main initiator). Because it also buffs allies behind her.
  • I Will Find You: In this case, she's looking for Zeus to put an end to the conflict within Olympus due to his absence. Whatever he's up to in Athanor, no one, not even Wonder Woman, knows.
  • Knightly Sword and Shield: Wields both sword and shield, and just like in the comics, she is a paragon of justice.
  • Throwing Your Shield Always Works: Throwing Amazon Shields can be stronger than a sword slash.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Her Lasso of Truth does not allow those caught to evade. Either she drags them to her, or she jumps right in their face.

The last disciple of the Dreamount Academy of Arts in Dragon Kingdom. Already a genius painter from young age, eventually by chance, Yan leaves a stroke to the sacred painting artifacts, the Dream Scroll and the Blade of Mercy. The Dream Scroll was meant to be the canvas that could only be written with the Blade of Mercy, which formerly has been destroyed by the river of time and only half of it remained in form of a sword. With the power of imagery and the mastery of the Blade of Mercy, one would be able to create vibrant, wonderful arts.

Yan shakes the world of art in the Dragon Kingdom with his arts by the Dream Scroll, but he keeps feeling like he hasn't done perfectly enough, continuously disappointed with his own work while thinking he could have done more. For this, the master of the Dreamount Academy of Arts sent him to travel beyond the Dragon Kingdom on a mission to restore the brush of the Blade of Mercy. But, the master hid his true intention of hoping that the travel will make Yan re-discover the joy of creation.

Yan is a Warrior hero who utilizes his sword-brush to initiate multi-tiered attacks, restoring and dealing damage while leaving behind masterpiece of arts.

  • His passive is Flash of Inspiration. When using his first and second skills, Yan gains a stack of energy. After gaining two stacks, his next normal attack gains additional effects based on the last skill he used. When he hits an enemy with it, his normal attack becomes faster temporarily and restores his HP on hit.
  • His first skill is Splash Ink. Yan swipes his sword-brush on a fan shaped area, dealing damage and slowing his enemies.
    • When this skill is the last one to be used for the second stack of Flash of Inspiration, Yan's normal attack becomes a leaping vertical smash that affect an area and knocks up his targets.
  • His second skill is Coiling Dragon. Yan dashes in an arc to his left, dealing damage to enemies in his path. During this period, he's immune to crowd control and gains damage reduction.
    • When this skill is the last one to be used for the second stack of Flash of Inspiration, Yan's normal attack becomes a dash that deals damage and he can use a variation of Coiling Dragon, which is free of cost and instead moves to an arc to his right, but only once.
  • His ultimate is Crushing Mountain. Yan charges up, gaining crowd control immunity and damage reduction. Afterwards, he deals damage to nearby enemies, and gain bonus stats based on his level (and carrying over the previous level's benefits):
    • At Level 1, he gains extra physical penetration and his Splash Ink deals more damage.
    • At Level 2, he gains extra time to use his enhanced attack from Flash of Inspiration. And he can use the second phase of Coiling Dragon one more time.
    • At Level 3, his enhanced normal attack can give him one stack of energy.
    • Once he finishes charging, Yan can re-use his ultimate to dash a short distance forward, deals big damage and knocks up enemies. If he doesn't hit anyone with it, the cooldown with this skill is reduced to 2 seconds.

  • Adaptational Seriousness: Yan is a serious, perfectionist, introspective painting prodigy, where even his master thinks he needs to loosen up a bit to truly unlock his potential. He is absolutely not a show-off Chuunibyou like Dongfang Yao.
  • Art Attacker: The Blade of Mercy doubles as a brush, so when Yan slashes, he leaves behind incredible art struck by his brush.
  • Crossdressing Voice: Uniquely, he's voiced by a female in English, but his Japanese voice is the one who's male (to match up with his crossover skin with Tanjiro Kamado)
  • Divergent Character Evolution: Despite sharing the first two skills with Dongfang Yao, Yan's ultimate is complex and different enough to differentiate the two as different characters (for starters, he does not go back in time).
  • The Perfectionist: In a way, when Yan makes an art, even with the power of Dream Scroll and Blade of Mercy, he always feels like this somehow wasn't perfect enough. He gets sent off the Dragon Kingdom secretly to make him get over this mindset, there should be joy in mere creation.
  • Pretty Boy: A young boy with feminine, youthful appearance that somehow still prevents himself from getting confused as a girl despite having a female English voice.
  • Teen Genius: Already at a young age, he's already considered a genius master painter. Getting the Dream Scroll and Blade of Mercy just increases his potential.

"The enemy of my enemy is still my enemy."

Faction: Helios Empire revolutionary
Honor of Kings counterpart: Hua Mulan

An orphan from the Eastern desert's nomadic tribe. Her father was conscripted by the Helios Empire in its war against the demonic Azzen'ka and never returned. Then her mother died trying to raise her and her sister in poverty. Yena joined the revolutionaries to restore the Helios Empire, and witnessed the coming of age ceremony of Murad, former prince of the Helios Empire. On a mission to sneak into the Imperial Temple, she found the Andura Stone and gained an audience with Azzen'ka. She earned his trust and was sent to confront Murad and obtain the Gem of Time. However, instead, Yena also made an understanding with Murad and tried to put aside her distaste for rich people like him to combat Azzen'ka while repairing the Gem of Time. But, no matter what, she still dislikes Murad, holding him and the grand Helios Empire equally responsible for the suffering of commonfolk like her. She doesn't really believe the Enemy Mine situation she's in. But, after traveling with Murad in person, Yena starts to shed the negative image of him...

Yena is a Warrior hero who switches between a speedy stance with twin swords and a powerful stance with a ring blade made from her two swords to barrage her target with a constant flurry of attacks while withstanding the enemy assault. Depending on her stance, her skills will differ:

  • Her passive is Lunar Phase.
    • In her Speed stance, Yena gains increased movement speed and when she deals damage from skills or attacks, she puts a Mark of the Blade on her enemies. After managing to put 5 stacks on the target, Yena gains a shield while her enemy receives a sudden burst of damage, silenced and slowed.
    • In her Power stance, Yena loses attack speed in exchange for a boost in attack power, and when executing her skills, she gains crowd control immunity and a considerable damage reduction.
  • Her first skill depends on the stance she's in, and if they managed to hit anyone, she can use the skill again for free for awhile.
    • In her Speed stance, it's called Crescent Strike. Yena dashes and strikes twice, the second dash can be directed with a movement command.
    • In her Power stance, it's called Lunar Strike Yena charges up for a massive strike with her ring blade and unleashes a massive strike on an area. The longer she charges, the greater the damage and also knocks up enemies, early release slows her targets instead.
  • Her second skill depends on the stance she's in as well.
    • In her Speed stance, the name's Spinning Sickle. Yena throws her blades in a direction where they stay in place and damage anyone in the place over time, also reducing movement speed. Yena can move to the blades and retrieve them, massively reducing its cooldown.
    • In her Power stance, the name's Advancing Moon. Yena executes a slow walk while also swinging her ring blade four times, with each strike decreasing her movement speed. The first 3 strikes knock enemies back, while the last one knocks them up.
  • Her ultimate is basically switching her stance. Yena executes a sweeping strike, damaging anyone near her as she changes her stance. She gains bonuses depending on which stance she enters.
    • In her Speed stance, it's called Full Moon. Yena combines her twin swords into her ring blade, entering the Power stance, and temporarily gains an attack damage bonus.
    • In her Power stance, it's called Half Moon. Yena separates her ring blade into twin swords, entering the Speed stance, and temporarily gains an attack speed bonus.

  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Yena is certainly more morose and angsty with trust issues, compared to Mulan who's outright confident and plucky without too much heavy baggages, but also seasoned and wise.
  • Dual Wielding: In her speed stance, she's using sickle-like twin swords.
  • Enemy Mine: At the first glance, it looks like a Defied Trope. As far as Yena is concerned, Murad is also responsible for how she had a hard life by being ignorant about the perils of the poor like her while trying to run the same empire that did so, which led to her parents' deaths. She may be working with him to take down a common foe, a demon like Azzen'ka, but it's more likely that if the deed is done, Yena will stab Murad in the back. However, after personally traveling with Murad and seeing more depths within the 'pampered ignorant prince' she used to think of him, she tries to play the trope straight.
  • Lady of War: Yena is an elegant lady that does all the stance switching, either smacking enemies really hard or zipping around them while stabbing them with deadly grace. Even in her opening animation, she's also elegantly dancing to show her femininity in addition to her ass-kicking.
  • No-Sell: In her power stance, she gains crowd control immunity as she executes her skills, making her unstoppable except by concentrating their firepower on her. Especially seen during Advancing Moon, when she'd look like The Juggernaut, nothing would stop her from bashing the hell out of her enemies.
  • Rings of Death: In her power stance, she's using a gigantic ring blade made from her weapons.
  • Stance System: She switches between being a Fragile Speedster (speed) and a Mighty Glacier (power).
  • Stripperiffic: Her outfit basically showcases a LOT of her skin, like just wearing enough to let her move around at ease.

Faction: Unknown (Might be between Norman and Dragon Kingdom)
Honor of Kings counterpart: Dian Wei/Berserker

A wandering spearman in the service of the Norman Kingdom. Zanis is courageous, virtuous, and ready to charge onto the battlefield on notice. Within his veins is the blood of a dragon that enhances his combat prowess.

Zanis is a Warrior hero with considerable jungling capabilities that can snowball into an exponentially powerful hero if he's allowed to kill more enemy heroes or assist his allies.
  • His passive is Dragoon. Zanis receives HP recovery and a permanent attack damage buff that can stack up to 20 times if he gains a kill or assist score.
  • His first skill is Blood Wyrm. Zanis removes all debuffs while gaining a considerable speed buff temporarily. His next normal attack deals extra damage and slows for a considerable time.
  • His second skill is Tail Sweep. Zanis spins and strikes his surroundings. If he hits someone with his strike, he will temporarily gain increased attack speed and life steal.
  • His Ultimate is Dragon Strike. Zanis targets one enemy and leaps to strike them with such a mighty force that it knocks them upwards. For a few seconds afterwards, Zanis gains attack buffs with True Damage.

  • Adaptational Heroism: Downplayed. Zanis is literally Knight in Shining Armor Zhao Yun in anything but name, whereas his counterpart is The Berserker Wei general Dian Wei, the downplaying part comes from how there are hints that he's Brainwashed and Crazy and wants to be stopped.
  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: Zanis' strategy is basically to find someone he can skewer and then keep attacking them until they're dead, which empowers him. He can try to retreat, but that involves just a normal speed boost where he still has to walk instead of instant teleportation, so he usually has to commit to constantly attacking or not starting a fight at all.
  • Calling Your Attacks: Sometimes, if you use his ultimate, he might yell "DRAGON STRIKE!!", the ultimate's name.
  • Domino Mask: He wears one to fit in with the more "Western" design of Arena of Valor (even if in the Japanese/Taiwan server, where he's simply Zhao Yun). After his art and model update, he's instead wearing a half-domino mask that only covers one eye.
  • Dragon Knight: Downplayed. While he can't transform into a dragon, he's a knight with heavy dragon Theme Naming on him. And he has dragon blood running in his veins.
  • Dub Name Change: In certain Asian servers that do not use Roman alphabets (like Japan or Taiwan), his name is changed into literally Zhao Yun, which is why some of his old lores mention certain ROTK characters (Zhuge Liang, for example) when said character wasn't a native of Athanor (even Lu Bu and Diao Chan had their lores fit to the lore of Athanor).
  • Expy:
    • He's basically AOV's answer to Xin Zhao, a sticky spearman with good morals best used for jungling and capable of being a snowballing hero.
    • His demeanor as a straightforward, honorable soldier wielding a spear is reminiscent of Zhao and Yun, who is also the inspiration for the aforementioned Xin Zhao. Ironically, in Honor of Kings, Zhao Yun was there, but using the moveset of Zanis' Evil Counterpart Zephys. In the Japanese or Taiwanese versions, this is averted. There, he's referred to as Zhao Yun, implying that he's on the same level as Lu Bu and Diao Chan.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: Zanis conducts himself in a more honorable manner and certainly more eloquent. However, because his skills are ported not from the guy he's Expying (Zhao Yun) but instead a berserker axeman (Dian Wei), despite his eloquence, his gameplay basically boils down to being The Berserker as well, and his only strategy is 'Keep manually attacking until the opposition is dead.'
  • Irony: When using Blood Wyrm, Zanis' quotes are more geared towards preparing to kick ass. However, the speed buff he gets means that the skill can be used to run away from a battle that goes south, so he can be saying his Pre Ass Kicking One Liner while running away.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: While not as blatant as Arthur and Thane, Zanis has the 'chivalrous spear knight' personality to the tee. It's also another thing he takes after Zhao Yun.
  • Magikarp Power: He's the definition of a snowball hero. Zanis is encouraged to be in the heat of battle, killing enemy heroes or helping others secure a kill. With more kill points, Zanis can snowball into a hero that kills everything with a few touches. Ironically, this is why he's rather low in tier lists, because he has limited ways to escape being ganged up, so players usually prioritize disrupting his farming phase, thereby rendering him useless in the late game.
  • Pre Ass Kicking One Liner: "Taste my spear!!" is what's said whenever he activates his first skill. He's either on the hunt to make sure his enemy does not escape his beatings, or he's just to make a hasty retreat.
  • Skill Gate Characters: He's the first jungler-specialized hero you get. You can easily learn the ropes of what it means to be a jungler and can still be an extremely potent jungler in the hands of an expert.

Faction: Lokheim
Honor of Kings counterpart: Zhao Yun/Zilong

Zephys was a knight from a nation that would become the Norman Kingdom in the future. In his daily life as a knight fighting demons to defend mankind, he became close to a fellow female knight and fell in love. During a particularly brutal skirmish, Zephys consumed a potion that increased his power but caused great pain to himself in order to survive the skirmish. He came out alive but realized that his body has been rather disfigured. Veera of Lokheim became impressed with his rampage and offered him a place in Lokheim with promises to better protect his lover. Zephys accepted but only on the condition of his lover being unharmed and that she does not know about the potion that he consumed. Veera kept her word, but in another skirmish, the female knight drank that potion anyway. Her body wasn't as strong as Zephys' and she ended up dead after the battle.

Zephys was devastated that he didn't warn her about the potion. But a deal is a deal. Hence, Zephys now takes a position in Lokheim as its grim reaper that does his job in reaping the souls of the dead, but his heart remains in anguish, lamenting that he'll spend an eternity without his lover.

Zephys is a Warrior/Assassin who uses mobility and his surprising strength in fights others wouldn't risk entering to defeat unsuspecting foes.
  • His passive is Unwavering Death. Zephys receives up to 33% damage reduction based on his lost HP.
  • His first ability is Death Rift. Zephys charges forward with his spears in front. He deals physical damage to everyone in line, and empowers his next basic attack to deal more damage and slow his target.
  • His second ability is Death's Flurry. Zephys launches a barrage of spear thrusts that damage enemies in front of him over time, as well as healing himself if he hits an enemy hero.
  • His ultimate is Death From Above. Zephys leaps to a target area, deals physical damage, and knocks up enemies in that area. For a period of time afterwards, Zephys deals additional magic damage to enemies hit by the ultimate.

  • Adaptational Villainy: Despite his more tragic origin after update, Zephys is still a member of the Lokheim faction. That's more villainous than his counterpart from Honor of Kings, which is Zhao Yun.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: It will depend on which language you're listening to. The Zephys in the Japanese version has a calm, dignified personality that befits a neutral grim reaper despite being associated with Lokheim. The default English version, on the other hand, had him being more smug and chatty; he was considered to be the chattiest amongst the heroes of Lokheim. He combines both aspects after his voice update; while he still has a sense of arrogance, he is also calmer and a bit melancholic.
  • Dual Wielding: He wields two spears, ready to slice and dice and stab his victims with them.
  • The Grim Reaper: He's the equivalent of a psychopomp in Athanor. Though unlike most figures, he's not wielding a scythe.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: He's mostly paired as 'combat partners' with Nakroth during his tenure in Lokheim, despite Zephys having his own straight love problems.
  • I Did What I Had to Do: Despite being a Lokheim member, Zephys tries to do his best to only do what's necessary. That somehow includes sacrificing his heart for the sake of a woman he left behind (and, to his anguish, that woman did not follow him to Lokheim). And even after betraying the kingdom that would become Norman Kingdom, Zephys held no ill-wills to the people there for causing his lover's death, he just gotta do his job.
  • I Call It "Vera": He names his twin spears Thanatos. Both of them share the same name, as well as alluding to Greek mythology's personification of death.
  • The Lost Lenore: In his newer quote set, Zephys has apparently lost a female partner and has a few laments of spending an eternity in Lokheim without her, though he doesn't regret being in Lokheim.

    Zuka, the Pandharma Master

"A true warrior defends the weak."
Voiced by: Tsuyoshi Koyama (JP)
Faction: Afata
Honor of Kings counterpart: N/A

A bipedal panda born in the Dragon Kingdom. At first, Zuka did not understand the true value of martial arts that his people mandated, as peace requires the ability to defend it. Zuka was in for a rough call when the denizens of Lokheim invaded and razed his homeland, forcing him to flee to Afata with his family, and along the way, he bore witness to how the defenseless suffer in the face of the oppressive and strong. At that point, Zuka finally found the calling of justice. He swore to defend the weak. He refused to sit idly even when Tel'Annas gave him shelter. He traveled throughout Athanor to face various evils, and his tales of heroism spread, and eventually he was adapted into the official Afata army.

Zuka is a kung-fu fighting Warrior hero who's nimble and skilled, buffing his normal attacks to relentlessly strike his enemies from many directions.

  • His passive is The Chi. After certain seconds in which he deals damage with a normal attack, Zuka's Chi activates, and he gains bonus attack damage for every attack he makes for a set number of seconds.
  • His first skill is Pain on a Stick. Zuka charges forward and deals damage to enemies in his path, also enhancing his next normal attack with more range and more damage. He can use the ability again after 5 seconds of the first usage.
  • His second skill is Panda Chariot. Zuka rolls forward, dealing damage to enemies in his path. If he manages to hit someone, he gains a shield and his next attack causes knock-up.
  • His ultimate is Skyfall. Zuka jumps and dives down, crushing his enemies around him and stunning them. His next normal attack afterwards will cause splash damage.

  • Badass Normal: His sole talent is kung fu. Despite being a panda, Zuka is just as normal as every other human out there. And his skills don't call on fancy powers from his race. Still, he can make even the normal attacks he has hurt like hell.
  • Dash Attack: All of Zuka's skills involve dashing to a place and definitely damaging everyone in his path. At the end of the skill, he'll also buff his normal attack for varying effects. This makes him very slippery.
  • Fighting Panda: He's basically Athanor's very own Kung-Fu Panda.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Zuka is known to be just as nimble as he is both durable and strong; he dashes around like crazy, he can generate a shield on his own, and he buffs his normal attacks to hell and back.
  • We Help the Helpless: This has been his life motto since he was unable to defend his home from Lokheim's invasion in time due to a lack of understanding of the tenets.
