Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Ask the Tropers is for:

open"Captain Obvious Reveal" before the Reveal Web Original
On the YMMV sub-page for Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE, Epileptic Trees has been rewritten to this;
- Captain Obvious Reveal: A couple of "mysteries" in the show were already being guessed at by fans within the first 2 episodes.
- A common theory by fans was that Hiroto's mysterious friend, Eve, is another EL-Diver like Sarah due to Hiroto finding her in a similar starry-skied dimension as the one Sarah first wakes up in, her having similar clothes, having similar abilities to "hear" the heart of gunpla, and a similar affinity with flowers.
- By the same token, another common theory was that Parviz's "respected older brother" who suggested he join GBN is Shahryar, due to them having many similar avatars, color schemes, usernames, and taste in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 based custom gunpla.
However, since said reveals haven't happened yet, I feel that this is preemptive.
openConnecting pages
I wanted to link the music video Cat Hairballs back to Ren and Stimpy's main page (the music video was made for the show), how might I go about doing that?
Edited by Drakos25openDoubtful example on Black Panther Film
I have a little doubt this recent example on Black Panther (2018):
- Just Plane Wrong: After killing Klaue, Erik appears to fly to Wakanda from South Korea in a Cessna 170A, covering a distance of roughly 10,000km in a plane with a range of less than a thousand.
I am not sure, but I vaguely remember that the scene was implied to be already set in Africa, not South Korea, in which case the Cessna would be sufficient and the example factually incorrect. Anybody having seen the movie recently can confirm?
openShould this work page use the acronym? Videogame
The page for First Encounter Assault Recon uses the expansion, but nobody calls this series by that name. The series's name is "F.E.A.R.", that's what's on the box-art, that's what everybody calls it, so should this page be moved?
For comparison, it'd be like calling the TV show Marvel's Agents of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division.
openLong Title issues
Another issue of a Light Novel having a title too long for this wiki.
There's this series current troped at Lightnovel.I Am Behemoth Of The S Rank But I Am Mistaken As A Cat And I Live As A Pet Of Elf Girl. Since an official English title—I'm a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl's Pet has been given, I attempted to make Lightnovel.Im A Behemoth An S Ranked Monster But Mistaken For A Cat I Live As An Elf Girls Pet as a redirect (as a prelude of the actual move). But it seems like any edits I made to that page never get saved. Is it because of the length issue?
(If this is the case, then I can see the threshold: it's 70 bytes or above.)
openEditWar
In March, I removed two RWBY entries from the WhatAnIdiot.Web Original page for being misuse. They were re-added without edit reason in April by jaydude. jaydude did expand the entries from what I removed, but they didn't address the fatal flaw with the two entries: that they shouldn't be listed in the first place.
As to the content of the two entries, I'll take them to the What An Idiot clean-up thread for a second opinion. I wanted to flag it here, however, because the RWBY fandom has had issues in the past with misusing this trope and having Edit Wars over it.
openNotes not working properly
Yasuko Kobayashi has at the bottom a list of animations that she worked on, with several having notes to indicate their source material. But the four that say "Based on an existing manga" do not work: click on any and only the topmost comes in and out. Does anyone know what is causing this?
openTropers in Coon Rapids, MN - Is Bobby on Thin Ice a real band? Music
Exactly What It Says on the Tin : I've found very few online references to a band that supposedly released three albums and was working on a fourth when they broke up. Can anyone from Coon Rapids, MN vouch that they are? Bobby On Thin Ice
Edited by Exxolonopen monster show Western Animation
i have vague memories of this one show with middle school aged monsters going to a school together. there was a mummy and a vampire and a slime monster. it aired in canada so there a good chance it could be canadian. the animation style was 3d and it would’ve aired in the mid to late 2000s or early 2010s. I have one memorie of an episode with all the monsters on a pier or wharf with some kind of problem. it’s not gravedale high or monster high. PLEASE HELP
openPossible Walkthrough Mode in Please Don’t Touch Anything? Videogame
The Multiple Endings section of Please, Don't Touch Anything seems to explain every little detail on how to get the endings. The game is rather short, but the entry appears to be much longer than it should be, as nearly the entire length of the page is taken up by it. This looks like an instance of what is referred to as Walkthrough Mode, which is not allowed in the wiki.
Can someone please look at the page and determine if the section needs trimming? And if so, can that person please do it, and please reply here to let me know that the job is done? I do not have the time, as I have to study for tests.

Everything on Toys.Lite Sprites is troped based on the cartoon. Should I move it to WesternAnimation.Lite Sprites since that's what's done with other toy cartoons like PJ Sparkles and Rose Petal Place?
open necklaces
Hello! When i was a kid there was this amazing tv show of a kid who finds a necklace on his dead fathers old room its green and it gives him wings when he says the key word. Then he meets with his friend (a girl) and she finds out he has this necklace and takes his to someone (if i remember) named danken. He is a master in these things and helpes him control it and then they find more necklaces with these chrechers with time
Edited by Medjudaopen Embarrassing Damp Sheets
There's a but of problem about Embarrassing Damp Sheets's subtrope-supertrope relationships.
The trope description clearly states that wetting due to semen (i.e. Nocturnal Emission or Wet Dream) or menstruation counts as this trope.
Nobody would count those as examples of Potty Failure. Then why it says "A subtrope of Potty Failure"?
openMisuse Aesop
South Park S 23 E 3 Shots has a misuse of Family-Unfriendly Aesop.
- Family-Unfriendly Aesop: Aesops of "Don't use forced vaccination" and portrayal of vaccination as Both Sides Have a Point doesn't seem to be good lessons since the anti-vaccination tends to form due to misinformation and lack of knowledge on vaccine development along with many outbreaks and increased immunity to long-dead diseases as side effects.
Its treating as this aesop is bad instead of its a valid aesop but Unconventional.
openGetting Crap Past the Radar
What exactly makes Getting Crap Past the Radar a trope? It only exists based on content restrictions that don't exist in the work itself, just outside of it. Something doesn't have narrative value just because the creators mentioned that they were trying to get it past the censors. Unless it's subtly lampshaded In-Universe, but that could go under a trope like Biting-the-Hand Humor.
openMLP final leaks (update)
The previous thread on this was locked, but new information on it has come up. It turns out it was a leak as the source accidentally uploaded them and took them down. Does that effect anything?
Should anything pertaining to them be commented out, removed, or what?
UPDATE: English versions were released via hack. They're still not allowed to be trope.
UPDATE UDATE: We now have official release dates and summaries.
FINAL UPDATE: The episodes will air 8pm Central time, but spoilers are popping up again. Is it ok to put them up a few hours early? Should they be commended out for the moment? It says they had a Short Run in Peru in Ukraine and Poland, does that effect anything?

open"Most best" redundancy tug-of-war
On AwesomeMusic.Aphex Twin, Roboro15 re-wrote an entry for the track "Ventolin" describing it as the "most heaviest" track the musicians involved ever made. Thing is, "most heaviest" is redundant, as "heaviest" already implies "most heavy", so it's effectively equivalent to "most most heavy". So I deleted the word "most", explaining that it was redundant in the edit reason. Roboro15 promptly re-added it (and added an extra word's worth of cruft) with the edit reason "That edit was slightly redundant to do, heh." Page history here.
This is frankly not a hill on which I'm prepared to die in an edit war, so I'm appealing for arbitration from ATT.
There are many reviews attributed to a badly formatted page, such as this one (two slashes instead of one). Typically the show up on the Review Index, but not on the work's page. Is there any effort going on to correct this?
