Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Ask the Tropers is for:

Young Adult Literature isn't showing up on Related pages, though it is properly indexing work pages. Any idea what's going on there?
Edited by Twiddleropen“Badge Gag” examples question
A trope for “Badge Gag” was just launched. There are two categories which contain examples that suggest confusion on the category meaning:
Displaying the wrong item entirely
and
Displaying obviously fake badge
Could there be a clearer definition about what belongs in each category? My guess is that a fake badge would have to actually be a credential of some sort (like a cycling club badge) and a wrong item entirely would be something that doesn’t even pass that level of muster (like a waffle). Right now, these two examples (among others) are in the opposite category. Something like a library card could end up being either — not sure which category that belongs in.
My guess is that the trope needs knowledgable clean up and clearer definitions for categories. Was planning to add an example, but thought clarification was needed first.
open Hypocrite
Recently, I asked on the Is this an Example? thread whether a hypocrite entry applied due to the 'in-universe only' aspect of the trope.
The responses I had back on that thread is that, yes, hypocrite is definitely an in-universe trope.
However, looking at the In-Universe Examples Only list, hypocrite is not on the list.
Should it be?
I'm asking because discussions with other tropers seem to indicate that the current bold text warning isn't effectively conveying the in-universe nature of the trope. That, combined with the fact it's not on the Administrivia page, makes the in-universe aspect debatable.
Edited by WyldchyldopenSpammer
A new troper called Nick Nocturne has created several spam pages for Night Mind, including but not limited to:
...And many, many more.
Edit: I didn't actually look into what the content on the page is and wrongfully assumed good intent. That doesn't seem to be the case, it comes off as drama importation even if it's not malicious.
Edited by WarJay77openYMMV page for The Joker
The YMMV page for The Joker is almost impossible to understand unless you are really familiar with the character. Not only are the entries too vague, but for some reason they are all written in first person. Is this really the way the page is supposed to be? It seems a bit counter-intuitive to write an article from the point of view of a character that is clinically and certifiably insane.
openEditing Issues
'Nother shot.
Gamergirl. I've been sending them notifiers about things like context and indentation for a little while now.
Anyway, the reason I stopped just sending notifiers and decided to report them is The Dark Queen, a page made by them that's unindexed, has context issues up the wazoo, and though it doesn't have indentation problems due to a lack of subbullets in general, they made some here a little while ago.
edit: removed my little tangent since I feel it was distracting from the point of this report.
Edited by WarJay77openEdit War at the Frollo Show's YMMV page Web Original
We're having an edit war. Requesting intervention.

openConcerned about an edit I made
So on the fanworks page for My Hero Academia, I just removed a link for a fanfic called My Hero Academia Butterfly due to it being a redlink. However, this is the second time I've done so and I'm worried that doing so qualifies as edit warring. Both times it was added it was by separate tropers, but the redlink today was up for three hours with no attempt to make the page itself, and the first time the redlink was up for a full day. I'll admit it's kinda frustrating that no attempt was made to remedy the redlink and make it a bluelink as far as I've seen, but I'm worried that I broke a rule in removing it a second time.
openBest place to make suggestions
I'd like to make a suggestion re: ATT & etc. Is ATT a good place for it, or is there a place in the forums for it?
openWebVideo.BigClive -- right or wrong name? Web Original
WebVideo.Big Clive is about videos on a YouTube channel named bigclivedotcom made by the creator Big Clive. Wondering if it should instead be recreated at WebVideo.Big Clive Dot Com with a Wiki Word set for its all lowercase name, or just leave it where it is but refer to the channel using ''[[WebVideo/BigClive bigclivedotcom]]'' ?
(ninja for a typo or autocorrect)
Edited by ImmiThraxopenIffy page
Does WebAnimation.Shgurr seem iffy to anyone else? If it was a creator page there'd be a lot of creator troping, but apparently it's what the works center around, so...
Edited by Chabal2openSuikoden Image Pickin' Videogame
I want to change the page image for Video Game/Suikoden into something more representative to the series. I took the issue to the Image Pickin' Forum as per page comment in Sep 2016 (I think it's still there in the morgue) but it was closed due to inactivity with no one commenting.
Does that mean free reins on changing the image, or not?
I found a new image to be proposed, different than the one I proposed in 2016, but I'm afraid of another inactivity if I take it again to the Image Pickin' forum.
openEdit War Print Comic
Okay so the troper My Little Xero has done a remove - add - remove for entries on the Ymmv page of Inhumans Vs Xmen. Which is an Edit War.
openAnime full titles? Anime
So I've noticed that a number of older anime series' pages are listed under shortened versions of their titles. This seems to mostly happen with examples of Adjective Noun Fred that are listed as just the "Fred" part: for instance, GaoGaiGar instead of "The King of Braves Gao Gai Gar" (this one seems especially strange given that the other installments in the Brave Series use the full titles.) Should these pages be moved to the full titles? It seems like that's the usual way it's done with current anime.
I guess one wrinkle would be the localization policies- if the English release of a series uses the shorter title then it should be kept (for instance, Albegas is listed as just that on the Toei Tokusatsu World YouTube channel, which from what I can tell is the only official release).
openSeemingly Excessive SelfDemonstratingCharacter pages
Mentioned this in the fairlydead SD Character cleanup thread and the TLP thread, where someone suggested I bring it up here.
Basically, Roku Alhazared more or less makes a new SD page a day, almost none of which really seem to have anything resembling a unique voice and while he clearly puts in a lot of work to them, they're little more than a first-person recap of a character. This seems excessive to me.
I haven't messaged him short of trying to ping him to the SD cleanup thread, but that might not have worked.
Edited by LarkmarnopenRenaming franchise title Videogame
This was brought up before on the discussion page, but should we have the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona title shortened to Persona? A lot of people tend to just refer it as the Persona series nowadays.
openCreator.{{Yamujiburo}} should be moved to Blog, since it's a Blog, right?
Creator.Yamujiburo should be moved to the Blog namespace, since it's a Blog, right?
IIRC, that's a namespace we have?
I've gotta sleep...
openNeed help Videogame
I need help in editing and adding examples to the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona page. My knowledge for Persona 3, Persona 4 and Persona 5 is rather lacking, so there's a good chance I have missed something. Not having to tackle this alone would be a huge relief, and much better for the accuracy of the page.
The recently launched trope "Back-of-Head Transition" seems to have been cut. Why?
