e-mlodik edit-warred here. I tried to reach to them (with three messages on 20th, 22nd and 24th Nov) and talk about the example. I included my arguments for removal plus links to the cleanup thread and "Is this an example?" thread. I got no reaction from them, but they have been online. There are fresh edits in their edit history.

openIs use of personal technological skills to create safe upgrades also a case of Professor Guniea Pig?
Ex- Thanos gave himself Bionics while Apocalypse used Celestial tech to argument himself. Mr. Sinister integrated mutant dna into himself.
Is any upgrades done by a character via methods they developed themselves an example? They all knew what they were doing. And it was perfectly safe. It's just that only they can do it. Do they count ?
Also, Chinese MC inventing pills to speed up training that works perfectly, where should it go ?
Thanks

Hello there. A trailer recently came out for the 2020 movie "Wonder Woman 1984". Would it be alright to create the page?
open Adventure kinda Anime
There was this guy who wanted to defeat some evil. So, for that he needed to train himself so he used to go to different different people who taught him how to fight and concentrate to defeat the guy. I remember one seen where he was with his master and the master asked him to focus and listen to the water drops falling somewhere. That was the place where they used to train. If anyone knows what I am talking about them please please please let me know.
openStrangeMindsThinkAlike, only when speaking, or other stuff?
If a character makes the exact same thing as another person without any connection between them, is it still Strange Minds Think Alike?
openWhich is it?
So I have a case here were characters are being recruited to be spys on their own people. The report this to their superiors and are told to feed false infromation. However, in truth they are actually giving real information to the enemy while at the same time giving false infromation back to their superiors.
Is that a Double Agent or a Double Reverse Quadruple Agent.
Edited by Lord-JaricopenRWBY recap page Web Original
I was about to add an example in https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Recap/RWBYV7E3AceOperatives page but first I need someone to check if my example and my grammar is wrong. Here is my example.
- Important Haircut: Implied. During Lock-and-Load Montage, Blake was shown looking at herself touching her hair. The next scene we see Blake with Bob-style hair (and a new outfit) symbolizing her freedom from White Flag.
openThere is a dangerous link on Alternate Foreign Theme song
Its the Kung Fu Panda example. It leads to a virus filled site.

Just asking, can you access your Tropers/ page via your profile or something? Or is the forums the only way to link there? Thanks
resolved Edit War alert
Yesterday, One User Name alter image caption in Dating Sim by add irrelevant note to IL-2 Sturmovik. I remove it with edit reason that it is irrelevant.
They add it back today. That they said "I has enough of this" in said note suggest grammar problem as well.
Edited by KuruniopenWeird epileptic tree about same-sex parents and comas?
On WMG.Lazy Town and WMG.The Loud House, I've seen a theory which involves the series all being a hallucination by the protagonist in a coma based on stories told by their same-sex parents and that two characters who allegedly have Ho Yay represent the parents (though in The Loud House, said two characters were sisters...).
openDoes this count as a sinkhole?
Is a pothole a sinkhole if the pothole is separated by emphasis formatting? For example: Homer Simpson may strangle his son, but he is a loving father.
Edited by FridgeGuy2016openFrivolous EnsembleDarkhorse Deletion? Videogame
Troper noffgivin has deleted the Ensemble Dark Horse entry for Nugget the chicken from Yakuza 0 (as well as removed any external links from the entry above) without giving a reason for it. I re-added the entry, pointing out in comments that it fits the requirements (Nugget is indeed a minor sidequest character who became unexpectedly popular with the fanbase when the game was still Japanese-only, to the point that one of the sequels features its offspring, just as the trope describes) and that they did not provide a good reason to delete it. However, they have since deleted it again, and still do not provide a reason for it.
For that matter, they have been purging external links to Youtube and Reddit posts from all the YMMV pages for Yakuza, although I don't think links like that go against rules, and if anything are used to support the entries by providing important context and sources. Given that no other YMMV pages have been affected by this including more heavily trafficked ones I don't think there's been a new rule placed against the use of external links on YMMV pages so I'm not sure what their goal is.
Edited by AlleyOopopenOut Of Character edit feud
Discontinuity.Western Animation
- A significant number of fans have done this with the last episode, and to a very slightly lesser but still large extent season 9 as a whole, basically declaring the entire season didn't happen, due to the huge number of poor Flanderization poor characterization, contrivances and ass pulls.
I deleted the Out of Character because it was an All Blue Entry and, while I can understand the Flanderizaton complaint, I don’t know of any unexplained OOC. It was added back arguing “ Well it’s a opinion, so tastes may differ on what is in character or not.”
I intend to cut again because of my prior reasons an OOC is not a YMMY trope and should at least list examples. Any objections?
openFormatting Question
I recently noticed that Theriocephalus has changed the formating of some entries on trope page from "text X Work text" to "X Work: text" often without an edit reason such as the following from Sea Serpents:
- While they never appear in the main Harry Potter series, the spin-off book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them reveals that sea serpents do indeed exist in the Wizarding World and are among the biggest of all beasts. It's stated that, despite hysterical/exaggerated Muggle stories of their ferocity, sea serpents are usually docile and harmless creatures.

Is this a proper thing to do and is it how you are actually meant to write an example as I couldn't find any mention of it from a quick skim through How to Write an Example?
Edited by SebastianGrayopenSequelitis entry for Frozen II being readded again Film
cerealking has previously added a Sequelitis entry for Frozen II under the Sequelitis.Disney but the entry has been moved to Contested Sequel since it fits under that trope better. However, cerealking has just readded the entry back with a text that I felt is a Justifying Edit:
- The feature-length sequel, Frozen 2 , also hasn’t been as warmly received as the first film note 78% to 90% on Rotten Tomatoes by professional critics. Reviews have praised its ambition, willingness to tackle more mature themes, art, performances, and music. However it’s been criticized for being a bit needlessly dark, having a convoluted plot, some questionable character decisions, and aping plot points from Avatar: The Last Airbender and its Sequel Series The Legend of Korra . Essentially critics are appreciative of the creative team trying to do something bigger and different but feel like it’s just not as well executed. That being said, this is also Critical Dissonance as it's been better-received by general audiences and would fit more along the lines of a Contested Sequel with them.
Sequelitis is if the sequel is universally agreed to be inferior to the original but there are some fans that regarded Frozen II to be superior to the original while others don't which this trope isn't what it's about.
Edited by Loekman3openA place to discuss my depression?
Hi there. This my first time asking a question here. I was wondering if if there was a place here where I could talk about my experiences with my depression, anxiety, and other mental issues?
Manga.Lucu Lucu isn't an anime too, right?
It was sectioned like there was a split between Anime and Manga, and I made it clearer, but now not so sure that was right.
