openEditWarring over FeministFantasy. Anime
Laevatein and otemple700 have been going back and forth since about February 1st over The Rising Of The Shield Hero being put onto the Feminist Fantasy page. It started back with Otemple 700 adding the series to the page, and Laevatein removed it while admitting to have not watched the series but basing it off of articles criticizing the series. Otemple 700 re added it, and than Laevatein added to the entry mentioning real life feminist thoughts on the series, so Otemple 700 removed it and than Laevatein added this:
"Nope nope nope. If the show REALLY MUST be included, do not try to erase the criticism it receives from RL feminists."
Otemple 700 removed it saying: "I purposely made the entry neutral. please do not try add anything else on it."
I think Otemple 700 has a point that Laevatein is stirring the pot when the page in question is not about that issue, but this has been going on over the past two months.

openFruits Basket Anime
Hello. There's something very strange going on with Devoted2Nintendo's edits to the character sheet for Fruits Basket. History link is here.
Since they're a relatively new troper (their history is here), I'm guessing we may need to PM them about what they're doing at least. Thoughts?

The Ambiguously Gay page for Anime & Manga first had an example from My Hero Academia for the character of Kirishima from troper Arcana4th in June 18th, 2016. Troper Golondrina might have deleted the example on March 17th, 2017? According to their reason, they were alphabetizing the page, so it's possible the example was deleted by mistake.
Kirishima was added again by troper shedemonlilith on July 1st, 2017. On the same day, troper oforiousmic deleted the example. This might be because it was already on the page; it's hard to tell. In any case, shedemonlilith re-added the example on September 24th, 2017.
Troper Tsareena deleted Kirishima on September 29th, 2017, but going by lukaSylvie's deletion and re-adding of a different example that also included Kirishima on July 12th, 2018, I think what happened is that perhaps Kirishima was on the page in two different places? There are two different examples about him worded differently that keep coming up in the history of the page. Troper The Lucky Cat later deleted Kirishima again on December 9th, 2018.
Most recently, Troper Neelh has re-added an example of Kirishima (and others) with the edit reason "added a bunch of bnha stuff back. guys, don't delete stuff just because you don't want to acknowledge lgbt people making headcanons about cartoon superheroes that are rooted in textual evidence" on March 4th, 2019.
Page here.
Apologies for the long post. I'm not sure what's going on here, but it seems like a combination of confusion and people disagreeing about Kirishima being Ambiguously Gay or not.
Edited by iamconstantineopenEnglish dub is standard, right? Anime
I ask because Contrafour made a bunch of changes to the quotes on the Cowboy Bebop characters page to what I believe is the English sub instead. Can we get those changes reverted?
Edit: Okay, so last official translation is standard? In that case that's still the dub. There were quite a few changes made, so if it could be reverted, that would save some work.
Edited by UnsungopenTroper Displaying Frequent Misuse of Tropes Anime
EDIT: Newest reply by me is just a bump and a progress report.
I've been dithering on this for a while, but I think I need to report a troper. Everblaster has issues with frequently misusing tropes.
The issue has primarily been on Characters.Komi San Wa Komyushou Desu and Manga.Komi San Wa Komyushou Desu, where I've had to remove misuse of multiple tropes, such as Overwhelming Exception (treating it as one big exception to a rule vs a gag of "when did I ever do this besides all the other times I did this), Like Brother and Sister (ignoring that the trope applies when it exists in place of a romantic relationship) and Last Lousy Point (a video game exclusive trope).
I've looked at their edit history and nothing really jumped out as problematic otherwise, so I took it as just overzealous troping, something I'm not entirely innocent of, and just kept an eye out. I've sent notifiers for Murky Examples and, while I never got replies, my deletions were never contested. That's why I've mostly held off on this report.
Now, though, I came across an edit adding Lack of Empathy to Manga.Sleepy Princess In The Demon Castle that comes off as overly harsh, even for the Comedic Sociopath that is the main character. I've submitted that to the Is This an Example? thread, but in the meantime I think it's time I put this report on file so it can be determined what, if anything, needs doing.

Kakashi 9029 is a recently created account whose only contribution to the wiki so far is... questionable, to say the least. Here's their edit history.
Personally, I smell a complainer with an agenda —or just a plain old vandal.

Troper RAHDRON added very complainy edits such as Eight Deadly Words to YMMV.Fullmetal Alchemist under the 2003 folder and other edits to YMMV.Fullmetal Alchemist The Conqueror Of Shamballa. Looking at their edit history they seem to not like the original anime and the followup movie. Judging by what they wrote, they shoehorned in a lot of complaints they made on DethroningMoment.Fullmetal Alchemist.
Edited by jjjj2openMobile Fighter G Gundam YMMV Anime
So I just acquired a trivia that would fit into YMMV, but not exactly sure what example it belongs. Here's the trivia: Due to the fact that Master Asia is the representative of Neo Hong Kong, a majority of the story's setting is in Hong Kong. The director, Imagawa, even ordered writers in Hong Kong to come up with subtitles for the theme song that plays while the main characters are in Hong Kong. What should be an executive decision that would make the Hong Kong audiences beaming with pride became a form of Internet Backdraft because they thought the decision was an Executive Meddling made by JADE. The anger was subsided almost immediately when the Japanese Officials clarified that the inclusion of Cantonese songs is indeed a conscious decision made by the director.
openChanging the title for a trope Anime
I am curious about the title of One Person, One Power can be changed due to recent changes to the description and newly added examples in the wake of me trying to launch a trope. The trope I wish to launch a trope called Unique Potency of the Many which I wanted to emphasize a trope in media of having unique superpowers, abilities, magic or weaponry that is unique to that person would have within the setting of the story like in most Shonen anime but there are examples outside of it. I wanted to emphasize the concept of the power and compared the One Person, One Power being something more a rule or limitation for a setting people with superpowers but then there is the lack of focus on how unique weaponry comes into play with it being about Superhero and Magic and Powers tropes. The user, 4tell0life4, has changed the original description of the trope, One Person, One Power, along with adding examples from the proposed Tropes that I wish to launch. If need be I am willing to discard my proposed Unique Potency of the Many draft if it is similar to the trope, One Person, One Power. If so, I can help with the title and laconic.
Edited by SeptimusHeapopenStrike Witches YMMV page Anime
Just noticed that the broken base section of strike witches has a massive paragraph that, to my knowledge, belongs in base breaking character and also has a ton of natter. I genuinely think it should be cleaned up. The section I refer to is:
However as far as Hikari goes their has been some occasional disengagements of wither she is an actually good, fleshed out character in her own right that is distinct from Yoshika or if she's just "Yoshika 2.0" (the latter group seems to have mostly died off post release of Brave Witches and even even those few hold outs are as visible and seem to not have sufficient thesis to back such claims up). An additional point of contention with fans is wither Yoshika herself actually is or isn't a Mary Sue. Those who argue she isn't is due to the fact that while Yoshika's magic powers are of greater potential then average; they were unrefined and untrained and Yoshika was faced with sufficient challenges and had to work hard to improve her control of her magic and training as air infantry to become as competent and then as badass as the rest of the 501st, as well as the fact that nothing about Yoshika's magic was not outside of the the ordinary or expected of witches magic in the series. Those who claim she is a Mary Sue argue more to her idealistic personality and the fact her magic returned to her by the end of the movie; however the former tends to be a rather dubious argument and a counterargument to the latter is that witches are known to experience draining of their magical stamina whenever they exert themselves and their magic and thus require time to recuperate with food, water and rest and only older witches seem to experience various degrees of magical entropy or outright loss; and given that at the end of Season 2 Yoshika was still in her prime magically speaking and used a magical sword technique that she barely had enough proper sword training for and how no real magical training done for; it caused her to do the magical equivalent of pulling a muscle and needed a much longer period of time to recover the magical stamina, and likely didn't have a chance to test her magic recovery by the time movie came around until the very end in a serious crisis situation and feeling the inspired desire to fly with her friends again.

Edited by Tenma-Yuukiopen Specific One piece episode? Anime
Hi. I'm looking for a certain one piece episode that won't get out of my head. In the episode episode Chopper fell overboard. He was saved by Robin, she used her devil fruit powers to grab him before he fell into the sea (I thought for sure Luffy would streth and grab him, but Robin came to the the rescue). And they were in the air, maybe flying or falling, or maybe something like a seaking knocked them out of the sea. The thing is, I remember that scene really clearly, but I don't remember which episode it was. And I would really like to see that episode again. I also THINK Robin called Chopper "Chopper" and not "Doctor-san", so it might've taken place after enies lobby, maybe even after the timeskip. I cannot say. I also don't know if this scene was from an ordinary episode or a tv-special or a movie, but I suppose it was from the anime. Please, please, please help me find this!
openRequesting Discussion Migration Anime
Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to ask. If so, I'll head in whatever direction I'm pointed to. Anywho...
I just finished a migration of Komi-san wa Komyushou desu to its offically announced English title of Komi Can't Communicate. However, there are a few discussions on Characters.Komi San Wa Komyushou Desu that may warrant being moved to Characters.Komi Cant Communicate, for reference if nothing else.
While typing this, I was reminded to also check reviews and found a review in Manga.Komi San Wa Komyushou Desu that needs to be moved as well.
EDIT: Looks like the cut for the Character page went through already. Don't know if that'll prevent it. It's not vital either way, the most relevant discussion was whether or not to refer to the main character by her first name or her family name, with consensus landing on the latter since that's what's used most in-story.
Edited by sgamer82openMecha Anime Anime
I've been searching the name of this anime for quite a long time here on TV Tropes (I remember reading a Trope about it). What I DO remember is that: -It's a mecha anime; -The mecha in question is bought by the protagonist; -I remember this dialogue, where the protagonist was in the market in which he bought it (it was not exactly like this, but it's very similar):
-Protagonist: (asks the price of several articles to the vendor);
-Vendor: (always answers to him the same price, but since the protagonist keeps doing it, he gets nervous and yells the following) "GEEZ, I'VE SAID IT AT LEAST A THOUSAND TIMES ALREADY: EVERYTHING AT 5$ (I'm sure the price isn't this)!!";
-Protagonist: (percieves only now the mecha, which had been thrown right beside them) "I'm taking that one!"
-Vendor: "But that isn't mine..."
-Protagonist: "You told me "EVERYTHING AT 5$" earlier, right?"
(The protagonist buys the mecha)
I've got the name of this anime on the tip of the tongue, because I'm SURE I read a Trope (in the category "Funny") about it just recently. Please somebody help me 🙏, thank you very much 😊

Troper 1337Haxor removed a reply to one WMG theory on Boruto, arguing that there's not enough evidence to declare it Jossed.
The theory in question is that of Karin being the real mother of Sarada, now officially the theory has been jossed by both Word of God and an entire miniseries dedicated to disprove it, but some fans still claim that somehow, this is not true. As such, I don't object on it still being on WMG. But I believe that when further evidence appeared in the Anime against that theory, that should be noted and thus the Jossed reply shouldn't have been removed.
Thoughts?
