Weird dreams

I recently had five rather weird dreams over the course of a week or two, most of which were simple, but one was massive. Grab the popcorn, this will be a long one. The first dream was quite simple: A thermostat in a hotel room was actually a video game console in disguise.

The second dream was a bit more funny. I’m recording and playing some games for some video for Youtube. (I have a Youtube channel.) At one point, I’m playing Super Mario 3D World, I’m playing as Peach, and I hear people talking about something in the background. I’m still recording, and then I miss a jump and lose a life. Someone opens the door, and the “lose a life” music increased in pitch. I then wake up and realize that it’s my cat meowing at 5:00 in the morning. The cat woke me up. He then jumped on my bed to sniff my face. That happens a lot.

On the third night, I had a dream involving this strange educational-maybe VHS tape, all I remember is that it talked about Europe, there’s a house with some kids, and one of those kids said something about how you should get vaccinations. After that things abruptly switch to the original Xbox dashboard, but there’s these weird Uncanny Valley CGI fish in the background. It was a bit unsettling.

Yesterday my dream jumped all over the place, and things were quite weird. I felt like I was in slight control of things. It starts off at a school, nothing too exciting here, and I take a bus back to my house, and the bus takes a strange route showing me places and buildings that just don’t exist. I know something is off. When I arrive, things get a little weird. The order of events gets a little shaky.

Suddenly it’s some sort of video involving a robot dancing to Scream and Shout by will.i.am, a song I don’t like very much. In my dream I’m quite annoyed that this song is playing, and I try to steer things back to something else, but this song kept coming back to drive me crazy.

Then things shift into a 2 hour long music video. Why is this new music video 2 hours long? I don’t know. It even had a plot! The details are never explained, it’s just something I assume is a thing in the dream. I skip ahead, and for some reason Fireflies begins to play, but that song’s video is different, and it revolved around a Kermit the Frog arcade machine. Exactly what was in the arcade machine is unknown, but it was still a thing! Parts of the 2 hour video keep jumping back to that stupid dancing robot that I hate.

I stop the video and walk into the kitchen, where a sort of party is occuring. There’s people at the table, and it’s seems like it’s a birthday. I then appear to have a random conversation about saxophones. None of this really mattered.

Now things jump to CNN, but the graphics are different, and the time is apparantly “N pm”, and there’s some government guys for a made up country arguing about something, alongside strange alarm noises and other weird things. I couldn’t tell you a single thing they said, but the fact that it’s “The N O’Clock News” proved to be a big reality check.

Now it’s Minecraft! The camera is panning around the world, the terrain generation is a bit weird, and there’s just some oddly shaped mountains and patches of random sand. I notice that the sand looked weirdly like a driveway of a neighborhood, and suddenly everything turned into a live action neighborhood!

My control over the dream increases slightly, and I realize this neighborhood might be a sorto of seemingly endless Eldritch Location. The roads don’t make much sense and it became a maze of houses. I decide to approach a house in the corner, and I open the door and just sort of fly in, and the only people I see are two identical black cats. I feel confused, and I wake up, unsure as to why that happened.

I forgot most of this morning’s dream, but I do remember the ending. There was this Rubik’s Cube looking thing that told you facts and answered your questions. However, this fact cube says facts in an overly verbose manner. I couldn’t understand a single thing it said. I abruptly woke up there, as the cat jumped on my bed again.

In conclusion, none of my dreams make any sense.

Stuff and things

Had this one while taking a nap the other day. I dreamed I was dying aboard a spaceship, one of those ones you see in sci-fi where the set designers had to make everything look metallic. I start floating out of the universe and the ship and the space around it contract into the point caught in a huge dark gray/purple current. The current reveals itself to be a small part of this massive tornado. I follow the tornado down and find that it and three others are joined to the corners of a ring that forms the top of an even larger tornado. I notice that this pattern extends both downward and upward, forming this huge seething mass as it gets wider and wider. Seeing that, I follow this larger funnel down and after a few more layers of the same arrangement (even the larger ones taper to a point as they join the next larger one), I find myself at the bottom. Now I'm standing on this dark metal surface with my body suddenly restored to me. There are a few features nearby, the closest being a small channel that molten metal flows through periodically. The molten metal flows over this huge cliff behind me and onto a dark, metallic plane with more channels running through it carrying periodic flows of molten metal off to who knows where. Unfortunately, I wake up before I can explore any further.

All I could remember from my dream was that Power Stroke was explaining to human!Sunset that the former wasn't a Changeling who permanently transformed into a pony, and passed through the Mirror to prove her point. They were then on a shipwreck, but Power turned into an anthro moose while Sunset turned into Sandy Cheeks.

I then took a nap and had another, where I threw a tantrum because my aunt locked me out of my room and I forgot to pack my chargers. I then mistook sparkling water for regular water and almost drank it. We then had a road trip up the mountain when I met my home ec teacher. She asked me weird questions about my favorite games, and she joined us on the trip.

The egg I was carrying then hatched into tiny little chicks, and we took them to the farm to release them. We saw in the coop that some of them are roosters, and ahead of the coop was a swimming pool where macaques and humpback whales were fighting for territory.

...Yeah.

I think it was Tuesday morning when I dreamed that my local movie theater, which is in a mall, had reopened, but it was now owned by a restaurant and had a new name to reflect this fact. The restaurant had the name of a real-life café at an inn in my home city, but in the dream, it was said to be a Chinese restaurant.

I have had other strange dreams about this movie theater before, such as one where it had something that was powered by bees, as well as one where a toy vending machine (you know, the kind with capsules) had a picture of Boris the Teeth Guy (with his Comedy World design) on it. I also once dreamed that there was another movie theater in the same mall, which stayed open, unlike the other one.

Are we human, or are we dancer?

I had an interesting dilemma in my dream last night.

I was walking out of my school building (which wasn't actually a school building I've ever had in real life) when I stepped on some important machine panel that was built into the ground and broke it. Why would someone design such an important thing like that to be flat on the ground where anyone could step on it?

Anyway, there was a piece to fix the panel inside the school building. The problem was that Joka was in this dream, but his role in it was more like that of Jevil. Joka was sealed away inside the school building, and if I opened the school up again, he would escape and cause chaos around the world.

Interestingly, though, Joka and I were friends. I was searching around the school grounds trying to find another solution when I saw a dog or something. Joka (who could somehow speak to me from inside the school) said he really wanted to see the dog and begged me to bring it into the school. I started to feel bad for Joka, and I was strongly considering doing it.

I can't remember what happened next, but I actually really like this portrayal of Joka. :P

Burbank Frollo: the most hilariously ineffectual, unintimidating Frollo ever

Me or a character whose eyes I was seeing the dream through(not sure which) ended up at this halfway house connected to junkyard, ex-cons have a job breaking down cars. cut to me(or whoever) looking for a hammer in this broken down old barn. Said barn looked like a combination of the corncrib on my uncle Alex's farm and the garage where my late uncle Rick kept his race car(rode in it once as a kid,watched him race a couple of times) Cut to whoever and my former coworker Lexi knocking the engine out of an old car with said hammers.

Cut to a montage of me(or whoever) and fellow ex cons cleaning out a basement- basement was the basement at my parents' house- haven't lived there for a few years but I'm still in regular contact with them, I live less than a mile away.

one of them is Wilson Fisk,(Vincent D'onofrio of course) teaching everyone else who are sitting in a big circle, the Bene Geneserit Litany Against Fear with an added line that really stuck with me "The truth of everything is in the Beginning" meanwhile (maybe me, maybe this character who's seeing the dream maybe someone else entirely) is taking notes on the terrible conditions, they're basically being used as convict labor. including this girl who may be possessed may be just flat out crazy. Who they dealt with by chaining her to a wall.

Woke up to shut off my beeping phone and then went back to sleep. last part of it was John Constantine(Matt Ryan of course) talking to Fisk about needing to get out of there. Constantine telling him "You're a man with resources I'm a man with reach" offered to send a pack of "scouts(no idea where that came from, assuming they're some form of demon)" after a guy named "Ira Roth" for him. woke up just wondering "what?"

There was a new feature in the original Plants vs. Zombies where you could take care of turtles in a pond. You could feed them Suns (yes really) and play catch with them, and you could also invite some plants over to play with them.

I remember that one part of today's dream included a great number of Spider-Totems' (except OG Peter) love intereses had been kidnapped and held in either a while room or suspending in lava. The focus was Spider-Girl's (Mayday) Normie and Spider-Girl's (Penelope) Flash (also Venom here).

Last night I had a dream that there was a Magic Mirror that does the opposite of its ordinary counterparts. Instead of showing your reflection, this mirror turned whoever looked into it into The Blank.

I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.

Mr. Plinkett jabbed me in the stomach with a rusty knife.

On Sunday morning, my real-life need to #2 entered my dream, so I dreamed I was using a public toilet, and boy, do I mean “public”! This toilet was in a restaurant, right next to a man who was sitting at his table with other people!

While sleeping in today, I had a dream-within-a-dream where I was in a restaurant that oddly had the view of a local schoolyard out its window. It was nighttime, and there were many stars in the sky along with hexagonal spaces between groups of stars. Suddenly, a white comet thing flew across the sky, and after it went out of view, I think I heard a cartoony boing sound, which I asked someone if they had heard. Then, a black comet thing shot across the sky, which was followed by a huge explosion. I think everything went white, and I closed my eyes. I then had a false awakening, which I think was in the house I grew up in.

In another dream this morning, I saw a suitcase with multiple backpacks in it, which I think I would be using when going to outer space with Rick Sanchez. In another part of a dream, I was obsessed with an opening scene from a non-existent episode of his show, which involved some aliens getting off a mode of space transportation and boarding a floating/flipping space station-type building, bud oddly not needing breathing apparatuses when passing through the vacuum of space on the way in the building. The vehicle then moved, and I think Rick and Morty entered a different door of the building.

While sleeping in today, I had the following dream that ended shortly after noon:

It was one of my recurring dreams where I’m still living in the house I grew up in, where my dad still lives today, and I remember working on writing all the quotes (there were probably plenty of non-existent ones) from the live-action Charlotte’s Web movie in a school-style workbook for some reason. Then, for some dream reason, I was walking down the street in the 11 PM hour to check the mail in the area where my current house has its key-opened mailbox (by the way, it also has a mailbox without a key). There was a train going by, and after it finished crossing the road, I heard it making sounds that sounded like a guitar solo. I started making a video with my phone, but it was too late for the “guitar solo”. I think I kept recording, but forgot about the mail, and as I was walking around, another train approached, and I think my mom showed up in a vehicle. Suddenly, I was in some kind of large building where the train was now passing through, and there were other people sitting in chairs while watching the train. Part of the train that was passing by got lifted up by a mechanical system in the building, and then, all the chairs, including one that I was now sitting in, got lifted up and moved like an amusement park ride, and I heard someone say that they were trying to fix this problem. Then, as I was still making a video, my phone died, presumably from cold air even though it had plenty of power. I said, “Phone, you’re a fucking idiot,” but I only mouthed the F-word part, presumably because of the other people on that “ride”. Someone then told me something about their own phone presumably dying sometime, but I can’t remember. I then woke up and found that there was a classical music piece playing on my bedroom TV (I don’t remember who composed it, but I think it was called “Violin Concerto No. 85”) which had a train horn-style sound in it, so I think that might have influenced my dream.

I also had another type of recurring dream: an argument with my mom. (By the way, in real life, my mom has told me that she’s had similar dreams about her own mom!) This dream resulted in a Waking Non Sequitur, which I think was “I won’t touch you either, fuckface.”

I had this dream where I has watching what I think was a collection of Mickey Mouse shorts, and I was scared to watch this short in which Mickey Mouse looked like a chicken. I watched it, and it appeared to be a series of first-draft Mickey Mouse animations. Then, a scary image of Mickey Mouse appeared in my dream. I wasn't watching it, it just appeared.

Later that night, in a different dream, I was reading this book of puzzles on a road trip, and one of the puzzles featured someone who made a game in the 1980s and someone else something with the answer for puzzles 4 and 5. Then I was in the locker rooms, and my P.E. teacher, who looked different talked about something.

Had this dream where I was running through these 9 areas and you had to complete a task for each one. You had to do them in order as well. I don’t remember most of them, number 6 was this bit where you have to outrun somebody uphill and I think 8 involved swimsuits. There were these transition areas where you could go to the next section, but they weren’t numbered and I got lost for a while. There was also what looked like a residential area towards the start of the “course”, the buildings had tiled roofs and everything. There were other people there too, but they looked rather normal and didn’t comment on me running around like a maniac.

While taking a nap at my grandparents’ house early Friday afternoon, I had a hilariously Mind Screwy dream (which took place in the same house) that was made even weirder by a song that was playing in real life on Stingray Music’s “The Light” station on TV:

There were two miniature BMO’s. One of them had a screen that flashed red for some reason, and the other one flashed blue. My dream self was associating the red flashing with red links, so I was planning to somehow fix it, in a way that I would on this website, so that it would be a “blue link”.

Suddenly, the song “Now I See” entered my dream, the lyrics got mangled, and things got weirder: I noticed an eyelash lodged right beside the screen of one of the BMO’s, and that eyelash somehow winked at me! The mangled song lyrics meant that that eyelash was some kind of awesome, devine sight! The line “I was blind, but now I see,” became “I was fine, but then I saw the eye”! And “seeing the eye” was supposed to be a good thing!

And now, a bonus dream from my childhood:

Sometime in my early elementary school days, I dreamed that I was hanging out with the three main characters from The Bittles (a real-life obscure Canadian puppet series where the title characters work in a book factory). I tried to enter their factory through the book seen in the opening of the show, just like how the show’s actual opening goes, but it kept freezing like a broken DVD. So we went into some kind of realistic business building that I think was accessed by another area of that book. Later in the dream, the entrance to the factory was still broken.

So I had a dream with several stuff and I remember some of these:

• Black Lightning was there, but he was a shapeshifter superhero who just happened to be in a giant Swamp Thing mode when saving a black family (a single mom with a teen and a kid) and the mom didn't feel so good about that.

• At least twice, Mary Marvel had made a (upwards) portal that connected Earth with some paradise-like garden where the rest of New 52 Shazam kids were. Also, in the second, her mother saw her transform or something but thought she was crazy after seeing a giant swamp creature (BL).

• I was in the second time she summoned the portal as a fellow superheroine and waved at the Shazam kids. And then I woke up.

• There was also some weird Italy school trip and writing letters stuff (with a teacher asking me if I had slept with a girl. Ew.

Last night, I had an interesting one.

There was Tom "Angor" Clark (as his in-game avatar of Emperor Palpatine), Amethyst, possibly Garnet or her components, a Wash Rotom, Yveltal and maybe some others I forgot. They were playing Trouble in Terrorist Town and I was watching the resulting video. It was edited to show the players names at the top, but two of them were labelled something like "Garnet Gems", even though in one group was Amethyst (which is forgivable) and the other was Yveltal.
Anyway, one round had Angor as the Detective win the round for the Innocents by gunning down the last Traitor while it was just him and them left (I don't remember who). The only other bit I remember was in the next round, it was showing Yveltal's screen and showed it was an Innocent.

I had a bunch of really strange dreams last night. The ones I can remember:

• There was some big fight going on all around my house, and it ended with my folks and I moving away from it to take a cruise in a huge submarine that was like the one from Atlantis: The Lost Empire. After getting there, though, we ended up getting into a fight with some scary-looking dude who sounded like he was voiced by Tony Jay.
• Then I had a dream about a very weird episode of Gargoyles that involved Goliath and the others changing their personalities completely after getting hit on the head while they were trying to fight off some threat. I remember Goliath became a fearful Piglet expy and Broadway basically became Groucho Marx (to the point that he inexplicably grew a mustache after being hit).

"Pardon me, that extremely loud and extremely deep voice you may have just heard. It was me. Oh, it is such a long story..."

I actually think this one would work as a premise for a game or movie (in the dream it was presented as the latter): So it's The Not Too Distant Future, there's a zombie pandemic, and a controversial but highly popular game show has teams of humans running through a maze of zombies for big cash prizes. The contestants are armed with shotguns and are encouraged to kill as many zombies as possible on their way; a major reason the show hasn't been shut down by the government is that it supposedly helps curb the zombie population. However, astute viewers notice zombies that look a lot like previous contestants- it turns out the show runners are secretly making more zombies to keep the show on air.

I was playing a version of Yakuza 2 (a pre-Kiwami version with graphics somewhere between the PS2 and PS3 games) which had a part where you played as Ryuji. The cutscene of that chapter had him punching some people and having others bow down to him as he passed by, and this part also featured a section of 2D minigames (done in a more cartoony, almost chibi-proportioned style) where you had to complete a task like "attack enemies" or "avoid these guys"

shouldn't his favorite genre be RPG and not point and click though

Two nights ago, I dreamt that I discovered J. K. Rowling's old sketches, and apparently Uncle Vernon would've worn an old timey British police uniform to emphasize how much he liked being in charge. Also, the Golden Trio used Dumbledore's body as a raft to take him home for burial because it rained during his death, but they got stranded in a muggle house of cards along the way.

Last night I had a dream that I was trying to make Ni GHTS Into Dreams into a movie. The problem was that, in this dream's universe, the game had been adapted a few years earlier... as a horror movie. In that movie, the nightmares were killing people, and NiGHTS was unable to stop them. Images of the nightmares killing people kept flashing in my head, and I was trying to get them out.

Anyway, my movie version was instead meant to be a lighthearted fantasy, more true to the original games. I was watching one part of the movie that had been finished. Reala was co-dragons with Joka (I didn't remember until after I woke up that Joka is from a different game entirely), and they were sneaking into an empty school building for some reason.

so there were fictional characters. thats good. usually when theres people dream!me tends to go batshit crazy and power-hungry. dream me was hiding along with some friends in a place, and then suddenly fictional characters. i ran away, not willing to face the responsibility of my actions. there was a massive ass storm, flooding things, as i passed by Thanos as i headed towards the same hiding spot. but then one of the people who followed me fell face down against the stairs and got crushed by the falling water. one of their friends who also was me apparently faced away from the stairs while still laying down against it and they got blasted to the surface. and then i was at a train station where a bunch of characters i knew were grieving for each other, said characters were the first characters i summoned. i think i became one of them? anyways, they got over it. i went into the train station where they grieved, and saw that i apparently brought fictional characters to life. and then it turns out i had the power to snag the body of fictional characters to control them. and then it went crazy, i got chased again and i woke up.
