[up] x 4 @Minorica

In the main story, watch out for Crusader demons. Their third skill allows them to single-attack an opponent for massive damage.

Again In the main story, Demon Realms macro-organisms can be dangerous. Everlasting Abalones can inflict guaranteed stun damage on a magical girl, while Kaiawasedake critters can cast poison on the party. Unlike the other status ailments, poison won't get removed over time (it can only be removed using a certain magical girl's skill) and its damage increases every turn. When defeated, Kaiawasedake has a passive skill that causes one random character to receive massive damage from it.

  • Bait-and-Switch: The description of the Instruments of Chaos Starring Young Indiana Jones review says that "this video may contain a cameo". At the end of the video, Fred's ancestor, Archibald Von Grenier admits that he's not actually Fred's ancestor and asks him to pay attention on the initials of "Archibald Von Grenier" (with a little emphasis on Grenier's letter N), Fred then lists the letters A, V, G and N and exclaims "Wait, you are..." only for Archibald to reveal himself as an alien named "Alpha V de Gelganech" who is not related to the Angry Video Game Nerd in any ways. Fred is then stuck with a dumbfounded expression for the rest of the video.

Madness Combat - Trivia

  • Fan Nickname: The art-style of the new character sprites introduced in DedmosRebuilt is nicknamed the "Dissenter style" by fans, even though Dissenter is the second episode to use these new sprites.

"pure enough to be worthy anymore."

"Rabbi Kupferman shakes his head and mouths to himself..." (Don't use three words when one will do, and avoid the passive voice unless there's good reason to use it.)

@ Parker

  • Action Girlfriend: Ed Mackey's wife Brenda doesn't take an active part in the heists but is at least as reliable and competent as Ed himself in other areas. Brenda once followed Ed to a meeting out of concern for his safety and dragged him out of a burning building after Ed was ambushed and shot by a gangster and Left for Dead by Parker. In another book, she manages to escape from a double-cross by Parker and Ed's partner and spends the rest of the book showing resourcefulness on the run.
  • Action Prologue: Most of the books begin with some kind of fight or heist.
    • In Firebreak the opening passage is "When the phone rang, Parker was in the garage, killing a man."
    • Butcher's Moon is another notable example, opens with a failed robbery where Parker and his partners Michaelson and Hurley shoot over their shoulders at the police as they run for the tunnel they'd dug.
  • Intimidating Revenue Service: Parker and most of his associates fear the IRS enough to pay income tax on their stolen money, albeit with fictitious explanations for how they got it.

[up] 1. Brenda and Ed being married is Common Knowledge/ Fanon even if it is on the wikipedia page. Still, they live together for enough of the series that I guess if nothing else she probably counts as a common law wife, so I'll put that.

@ Whodunit Mysteries

  • An Ax To Grind: One victim is murdered with his company's fire ax after surprising a thief.
  • Heroic Bystander: One story has a kidnapper foiled when the nanny of his would-be-victim throws household items at him until he flees.

@ Murder, She Wrote Lines Of Excellence

  • Jessica's conversation with Derek about what kind of computer she wants to buy.
Derek St. James: Well, let's see what the basic requirements will be for your new computer system. Um, how much RAM, how much ROM, VGA, SVGA, 386, 486, 33, 25 Mhz. If you do a lot of research, you may want to get a CD-ROM or a WORM optical system. Do you have any offhand preferences?
Jessica: Well, I-I was thinking of something in a nice beige.
Derek St. James: In other words, I ought to be doing this in English?
    Jessica: That would be wonderful.
  • The dialogue between the two detectives on the case could belong in a Buddy Cop Show. They keep using the phrase "point taken" when coming to an agreement or good-naturedly berating each other for missing clues.

@ Snow White Blood Red

  • Gold Digger: Gunnar openly discusses his plan to find a rich widow to marry so that he’ll never have to get a real job once he’s too old for skiing.

[up] 1 Ok. On the page I'll call Brenda Ed's significant other. I'm a bit confused if your comment means my Murder She Wrote and Whodunit Mysteries tropes are good to go (given how that was posted twenty minutes before your reply to my comment about the Mackey's). Until further notice I'll assume it isn't.

  • Mêlée à Trois: The game features one between Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Phin Mason/Tinkerer with the Underground, and Simon Krieger with Roxxon, with Harlem caught in the middle.

^ The game features one what? In order to be this trope, there must be a fight. You must clearly say that the example has those elements required by the trope. Without it, the example is a Zero-Context Example.

Arivne Since: Jan, 2001

Girlish Pigtails: Halfway through the movie, she wears her hair in pigtails.

^ The Description of the trope Girlish Pigtails lists many qualities of characters who fit this trope (one of which is "Used as a visual clue that the character is young or immature.").

In order for this not to be a Zero-Context Example, you need to say which quality (or qualities) the character has that do so.

If you wanted to use the quality I gave as an example above, you could add "...to show how immature she is." to the end of the sentence.

@ Honeymoon in Vegas

  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Despite his obsessive and underhanded attempts to steal Jack from Betsy, Tommy gives up after seeing Jack parachute out of a plane to stop them from getting married despite having never parachuted before, reasoning he can't compete with that amount of dedication.

@ Total Drama: "Aftermath III: Aftermath Aftermayhem"

  • Accidental Truth: Geoff's "The Villain Sucks" Song includes the line "She's just so full of you-know-what, she has to double flush the can." Rather than deny this, Blaineley protests that she eats a lot of fiber.

@ Carl Hiaasen

  • Not Worth Killing: In Sick Puppy Skink and Twilly agree that while the corrupt Governor would make a fitting Asshole Victim, there are so many equally corrupt politicians waiting to take his place that killing him would be a meaningless gesture.
