As seen in the Do we have a project to disambig works? Ask The Tropers, there are many works pages that seem to need disambigs, by virtue of sharing names and having no differentiation.
This thread is for the discussion and listing of what to do about such pages.
See here for a list of needed disambigs.
The List
- Film.The Lost World
- Series.Utopia
- Series.Kidnapped (2006 NBC Cop Show) (20 wicks)
- Series.The Street
- VideoGame.Star Wars Battlefront
- VideoGame.Star Wars Battlefront II
- WesternAnimation.Fantasia
- WesternAnimation.Max Steel
Similar Issues
- Then there is pages like The Host which is for the Korean film but has a bunch of wicks referring to the adaptation of The Host.
- Ransom: YMMV.Ransom only has Film entries, but Characters.Ransom is trying to be a disambig to Characters.Ransom Film and Characters.Ransom TV... Trivia.Ransom needs to be split.
- Film.Deadlands is conflicting with the Tabletop Game. Maybe move to its redirect, Film. The Dead Lands?
- Series. The Untouchables: It's holding multiple versions in there...

Thinking whether this is a common enough term to use for a disambig, since at least Sparrow and Bright seems to sorta use it that way?
Or might The Time of Myths be the wrong trope, if this history book uses it to describe the Enlightenment or something?
* [[Fanfic/AgeOfWonder A fanfic.]]
* The video game, ''VideoGame/AgeOfWonders''
* TheTimeOfMyths.
If a direct wick has led you here, please correct the link so that it points to the corresponding article.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576So have there been any discussions about the two Pinnochio movies coming out this year? The one by Robert Zemekis for Disney and the one by Guillermo Del Toro for Netflix?
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I believe the official title for del Toro's Pinocchio is literally Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, since that's what the trailer advertises it as.
So, we can probably save Pinocchio (2022) for the Disney remake.

Disambiguated The Rolling Stones already, but Pinball. The Rolling Stones has wicks. Should it be The Rolling Stones Stern or something else?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576There's two Rolling Stones pinball machines: [1] [2]
Rolling Stones (1980) by Bally
The Rolling Stones (2011) by Stern Pinball
Searching on TV Tropes, "(Bally)" and "(Stern)" are both used as disambiguations for various pages.

Don't forget about the Rolling Stones magazine.
Kirby is awesome. That one's singular, so it doesn't need to be disambiguated. It should be listed on the disambiguation page, but nothing beyond that.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Thanks.
Kirby is awesome.I'm new to this so I'd like feedback please.
I'm making pages for some Just Shapes & Beats fan-comics, two brief ones by the same artist that I wish to make without using sandboxes are It's Over For Me and its one-shot crossover spinoff Lost In Blue, both in the Webcomic/ namespace.
The latter's to-be page would collide with VideoGame.Lost In Blue. Would the right thing to do be to make the fan-comic's page Webcomic.Lost In Blue Vine Bunny (to appear as Lost In Blue (VineBunny) ) so subpages won't collide? But then, if yes, should It's Over For Me be Webcomic. Its Over For Me Vine Bunny for consistency's sake or just Webcomic. Its Over For Me since it doesn't yet collide with any work pages?
Many thanks in advance.
Pantheon Wick Cleaning"(VineBunny)" yes. Fan Works get less name priority than original works.
But can keep their regular names if no collide.

FanficRecs.Naruto For Want Of A Nail Fics has one, MoralEventHorizon.Fan Works, has another, and then there's You're Not My Father and Second Love.
Not sure if any of them are the same one as any other.
Then there's the review.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576They're all referring to something called Naruto Asunder (or Naruto: Asunder), not just Asunder, and I can't find any other fics by that title, so I assume it's the same one, this one (which the fanfic rec and the Second Love entry link to).note The review was moved from the fanfic recs page and mentions "Wrath", a shortening of the author's handle.
Right, I was trying to match up the quotes, and at least the You're Not My Father "Mom" and "Dad" call are split over separate lines in:
https://fanfiction.net/s/5403644/23/
But I can't source any other quoes, although I've only tried Father and Horizon, up to chapter 20?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I searched all the chapters and couldn't find them either. Hm..
Average NOOB added the MoralEventHorizon.Fan Works example as well as the Second Love one, so I'd assume they're referring to the same one.
Maybe ~Average NOOB can help clear this up?
In even stranger things, there's two Fight For The Lost fan works, with the Characters belonging to the Roleplay.

We have TV channel I.O.N and Manga I.O.N. The wikiword is correct for the latter, while the former is all lowercase letters.
We can move the former to Creator.Ion Television.
Edit: Done. I assume we are moving the manga as well?
Edited by Berrenta on Aug 28th 2022 at 11:35:51 AM
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportWould it be a good idea to move the manga page and its subpages to a disambiguated title by year? As in Manga.Ion 1997?
Pantheon Wick CleaningNot a great idea, there's nothing else using the name according to Wikipedia, unless you've got some indie game or something called "Ion" you wanna make a page on?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ion_(disambiguation)
Creator pages usually don't trigger disambigs because their Subpage potential is low. Especially when they're companies and not people.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576So, Music.IRIS is currently about Will Ryan's (of DAGames) solo music project. Despite it being in all-caps and showing as IRIS, it clashes that of Series.Iris, which shows up as Iris.
Currently, Trivia.Iris and YMMV.Iris refer to the series, and concern for how to make subpages for the music act was brought up here.
However, some wicks for Music.Iris refer to a different music act by the same name, a synthpop duo. See here from Dark Wave:
- Iris (Now-disbanded duo comprised of Reagan Jones and Andrew Sega, not to be confused with the solo act by Will Ryan)
- Hallowed Hearts (Founded by Alex Virlios and Andy Sega in the wake of Iris's dissolution)
- Andrew Sega and Reagan Jones put their synthpop act Iris on indefinite hold after a falling-out following the supporting tour for 2010's Blacklight, but their spark was reignited in 2013 after Jones sent three song sketches to Sega, leading to the production of Radiant, released in Fall 2014. Averted with their official and likely final split in 2021, though Sega has founded a new duo, Hallowed Hearts, with singer Alex Virlios.
So to break this down into steps:
- What would the disambiguated title for the synthpop duo by Andrew Sega and Reagan Jones be? Music.Iris Band to be Iris (Band)? Any other options I'm not aware of for disambiguating music pages? Mind that a page for this music act doesn't exist yet.
- Then there's Will Ryan's solo act. I was thinking the moved title to be Music.Iris Will Ryan to show as IRIS (Will Ryan). But if its Spotify profile and this Fandom wiki page is anything to go off of, it could be moved to the rename Music.Iris Official instead, although the songs are also shared on the DA Games channel still under just "IRIS".
- What of the Series/ page? I Should it be moved to a disambiguated title by year, as in Series.Iris 2009, and its subpages moved accordingly? Any feedback (otherwise)?
Googling "Iris music" gives a few results which don't match either of the above mentioned music acts anyway. note Might this warrant a disambig for Main.Iris?
~eXimiusMax pinging you to this because you stated the concern with Music/IRIS clashing with Series.Iris - I haven't checked on Will Ryan's IRIS in a while, I'd appreciate if you can give feedback on what title that music act should go to please (as I've explained in #2 on the numbered steps list).
Many thanks in advance again for the help.
Pantheon Wick CleaningMultiple musical acts with the same name. Tricky.
Can they be split into something like British / American, etc? Else I'd put the Duo in "(Duo)", or "(Synthpop Duo)" if we're really concerned.
...
I'm against "IRIS (Will Ryan)". Multiple names in a page name is very confusing. I'd have the disambig just say "An alias of Will Ryan".

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Splitting between American and British may be possible, the synthpop duo is American while Will Ryan is British.
On the other hand, if we opt to Music.Iris Official for Will Ryan's solo act, then the other could be Iris (Band). Googling "Iris official" does give Will's IRIS as the first result.
Pantheon Wick CleaningJust discovered today:
We have the TV series Supernatural...and the anime Supernatural. However, aside from YMMV, there's not much presence of the anime in the subpages.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope Report- I would also not go Iris Official, it's very confusing when we have unofficial works on this site, a.k.a Fan Works?

Started doing that. Gotta go do a thing...
Gotta remember to request School For Scoudrels as a disambig between the films and Sensei for Scoundrels.
Manhua.Bloodline has issues with eventual year conflict with:

Among other films?
