The Elemental game series has... Quite the history, to say the least. It's a Puzzle Game series created by Cary Huang, who is best known for co-creating the Battle for Dream Island series with his brother Michael.

The first two installments are Doodle God clones. You start with Air, Earth, Fire, and Water to combine new elements. There are 65 elements in the original Elemental and 219 in Elemental 2.

The best way to describe Elemental 3 would be Doodle God taken to the nth power. It also has you combine elements to create entirely new ones, but the amount of possibilities is giant. As of the final official version, there are 27208 elements and 53032 equations, guaranteeing days of playtime for anyone brave enough to actually try to 100% it.

Due to poor coding and large amount of requests leading to unsustainability, 3 had to be shut down. An official Discord server with suggestions and extensions can be found here. An archived version of 3 called Elemental Forever (which is linked in the description of Cary's official video on the game) can be found here (since it's a Wayback Machine link, progress won't save) and an officially uploaded list of equations can be found here (every instance of %20 is a space and there are some other special characters that you may need to replace for better legibility). As the latter is publically available and easier to track, the example list will be based on it.

Note: To make sorting entries in examples with multiple bullets more consistent and finding existent entries easier, element numbers will always be mentioned in parentheses.

The games (mostly Elemental 3) provide examples of:

  • 420, Blaze It: These equations: [#156] MLG + [#156] MLG = [#533] 420. [#3] Fire + [#533] 420 = [#739] 420 BLAZE IT. [#36] Life / [#117] Plant + [#533] 420 = [#2602] Weed.
  • Anachronism Stew: With how elements are added, it's possible to create some way before other should show up. You can have [#32] Energy Drink before [#36] Life.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: There's a button that selects a random element in case you need a suggestion for what to create. You can even spam it to potentially make new elements, but the exorbitant amount of elements would result in creating new ones taking up an exorbitant amount of time.
  • Big "NO!":
    • [#895] NO, made from equations like [#1018] Can you hear me? + [#1018] Can you hear me?
    • [#567] its time to stop + [#1018] Can you hear me? = [#2176] NOPE.
  • Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: Some elements follow the naming pattern of thing + thing = adjectival thing.
    • [#182] TRIGGERED + [#259] Feminazis = [#1637] Triggered Feminazis.
    • [#37] Pollution + [#55] Hurricane = [#2271] Polluted Hurricane.
    • [#3] Fire + [#1671] Oil = [#2634] Flaming Oil.
    • [#78] Magic + [#8] Wind = [#2895] Magical Wind.
    • [#86] Shrek + [#156] MLG = [#3827] MLG SHREK.
    • [#274] Utopia + [#336] Perfection = [#6724] Perfect Utopia.
  • Color-Coded Elements: Air is light blue, earth is brown, fire is orange, and water is dark blue, with additional colors sometimes being assigned to other elements. In 3, players proposing a new element can select from a total of 20 different colors.
  • Common HTTP Status Code: [#1960] Error 404, which can be made from [#1264] Deaf + [#1264] Deaf.
  • Company Cross References: Some elements reference other works by the Huang Twins, like [#114] Meester Tweester and a ton of references to [#442] Battle for Dream Island.
  • Completion Meter: The numbers for elements and equations found compared to how many are possible can be seen in the top-left corner. Hovering over an element shows how many equations lead to it and can be made from it, with one star shown when you barely found any and five stars when it's been throughly explored.
  • Creator Cameo: Cary shows up in the game as element [#222] and is used in more than 200 equations involving him.
  • Discredited Meme: In-Universe, they are referenced by the elements [#1702] Stale memes and [#2980] Dead meme.
  • Egopolis: Implied with the element made from [#274] Utopia + [#332] john cena = [#18382] Johntopia.
  • Emoticon:
    • [#2111] Sex + [#2111] Sex = [#2685] ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).
    • [#230[ Diabetes + [#567] its time to stop = [#14626] :3.
  • Fusion Dance: Some equations fuse two existing creatures, implying a creature based on the previous two. [#86] Shrek + [#143] Shark = [#13999] Sherk.
  • Hint System: You can press Toggle Hint to make the game suggest an element you don't have. It's up to you to figure out how to create it.
  • Hormone-Addled Teenager: Referenced by the equation [#5278] puberty + [#5278] puberty = [#2111] Sex.
  • I Love the Dead: [#206] Human + [#421] Corpse = [#1763] Necrophile.
  • Magic Mirror: [#51] Glass + [#78] Magic = [#2454] Magic Mirror.
  • Man on Fire: [#3] Fire + [#206] Human = [#908] Man on Fire.
  • Memetic Mutation: In-Universe, Memes appear as element [#123] and are very popular in terms of how they're used in equations.
  • Moon Logic Puzzle: Some of the equations are clearly not made for the player to figure them out. [#7] Mud + [#7] Mud = [#332] john cena.
  • "No" Means "Yes": Referenced by the equation [#895] NO + [#895] NO = [#1015] YES.
  • No Plot? No Problem!: No plot is present anywhere. No instructions in the game either. But you are still making elements.
  • Numbered Sequels: Elemental 2 and Elemental 3.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted. Elements [#1111] and [#2840] are both called Hydrogen, with the exact same spelling and capitalization, though the colors and products of combining one with itself are different.
  • One-Word Title: Elemental, referring to how the four classical elements can be combined in various ways to create new "elements".
  • Overly Long Gag: Oh so many. Combining two of the same element and continuing with what they produce can easily lead to 30+ element chains of the same thing. The game can end try to end them with [#567] its time to stop, but combining different members of the family may allow you to keep going.
  • The Phoenix: [#3] Fire + [#857] Bird = [#656] Phoenix.
  • Prolonged Video Game Sequel: The first game has 65 elements. The second has 219. Thanks to contributions from many players, the third has a staggering 27208, ensuring over 100x as much playtime for completionists.
  • Punny Name:
    • [#768] Cancer + [#895] NO = [#16676] Can'tcer.
    • [#354] Donald Trump + [#555] Ginger Beer = [#16688] Donald Drunk.
  • Rule 34: Rule 34 appears as element [#6757] and is generally made from more perverse equations.
  • Schmuck Bait: [#5] Pond + [#15525] Stop ponding = [#20791] you didn't listen.
  • Screw Yourself: Implied by these equations.
    • [#8926] Baby Clean Shrek + [#8926] Baby Clean Shrek = [#2176] Incest.
    • [#3141] Elsa + [#3141] Elsa = [#6757] Rule 34.
  • Shout-Out: Has its own page.
  • Take That!: Some equations are quite nasty.
    • [#259] Feminazis + [#259] Feminazis = [#328] Tumblr.
    • [#354] Donald Trump is a frequent target.
      • It's subtle, but every element related to a president is yellow. [#354] Donald Trump is dark red.
      • Combining [#354] Donald Trump with [#183] Demons, [#263] Satan, or [#834] Demon will result in [#354] Donald Trump again.
      • [#354] Donald Trump + [#1291] Love = [#13910] Retard.
      • [#8313] Dust Satan + [#8313] Dust Satan = [#14059] Dust Donald Trump.

    • [#1932] Undertale + [#1932] Undertale = [#768] Cancer.
    • [#186] Death + [#668] Youtube = [#1838] Keemstar. Or [#2763] Clickbait + [#2763] Clickbait = [#1838] Keemstar.
    • [#768] Cancer + [#2279] China = [#22980] Made in China.
  • Toilet Humor: [#284] Diarhhea + [#354] Donald Trump = [#24672] Wall of Poo.
  • Trade Snark: Unlike most elements, [#180] Harry Potter® apparently needs to end with ®.
  • Try Everything: Guaranteed to occur. There are so many elements you're likely to just click them to try whatever random combination is possible, but trying 20000+ elements on each other is impractical.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility: Referenced by the equation [#101] Power + [#101] Power = [#502] Responsibility.
  • World War III: [#3] Fire + [#136] Trumps Wall = [#2146] World War III. Or [#1837] World War II + [#1837] World War II = [#2146] World War III.
  • World War Whatever: [#2146] World War III + [#2146] World War III = [#2664] World War IV. [#2664] World War IV + [#2664] World War IV = [#2869] World War V. Eventually, [#4211] World War X + [#4211] World War X = [#2745] The End of the Universe.
