The App's Icon, depicting Ito suddenly realizing that his foot is no longer stuck in the ground.

A... ahem... "quirky" game by Sorakomi Mine. You play as a black stickfigure named "Ito" who gets his foot stuck one day and couldn't take it out. In the sequel, Ito's foot finally manages to break free from the ground. Ito now has to make the trek back home and meets several friends along the way (all of whom makes an attempt to kill Ito). In both games, Ito has to fight off against 285 enemies per level, though there are special Boss Only Levels in the second game.

The original game was released on January 7th, 2012. The sequel was released on August 18th, 2018.

WIP, help would be eternally thanked for.

This Game (both Come On 285 Enemies and its sequel) provides examples of:

  • Actionized Sequel: The original game completely lacks the intense Boss Battles, the different backgrounds, and the much, much freer movement options. Which is pretty much justified; Ito had gotten his foot stuck, preventing him from walking around, and the Bosses haven't even bothered to check on Ito.
  • Arc Number: 285. 285 enemies, and a 285 kg cane. Master Gouda also reveals he has 285 years left to live, yet is 75.
  • Badass Boast: Ito says one of these after every level in the first game.
Ito: You'll get hurt standing in front of me. Remember... I'm not a bus stop.
  • Batter Up!: Ito is seen doing this in the credits scene, against Ueno throwing a gigantic paper ball.
  • Berserk Button:
    • For Mr. Sato, it's destroying his prized bronze statue.
    • For the Ota family, calling them copycats.
  • Big Bad: Master Gouda, who even calls himself as such.
  • Big "NO!": Ito does this just right before both of Yoshida's boss fights, particularly when the latter proposes to give Ito stretchy powers.
  • Bowled Over: Ito's "Bowling Smile" technique.
  • Boss-Only Level: Usually the last levels of each world, though sometimes Recurring Boss Okada pulls up in a level before the boss.
  • Boss Rush: World 10 in the second game pits you against all of the bosses in each level.
  • Cane Fu: Master Gouda's first attack is tossing his 285 kilogram cane at you. Getting hit by it is an instant kill. This also applies to Master Gouda, who also jumps directly after throwing his cane at you, allowing you to punch the cane back into his face for an easy win.
  • Cast Full of Crazy: Check out Cloudcuckooland down below, but okay, let's see:
    • Ito apparently doesn't know what being fired means; He claims to have slept on a part time job, and was told he could go home forever, he doesn't know why there's such a bad smell in his shoe locker, even though the source of the smell actually come from his shoes, and he claims that things like TV or pillows matter more than school rules. And on top of all that, he's slowly getting worse and worse amnesia by the second game.
    • Okada is the Only Sane Man, genuinely wondering where Ito went after so long. He's also concerned that Ito's viewing him as less and less of a human as time goes on.
    • Ueno is a really avid baseball fan, and calls his brothers his "shadow clones".
    • Kondo is a stickler for school rules, but the one thing that he puts above those is an English Test.
    • Principal Sato has a bronze statue of himself, and any destruction towards it is hammering down on a Berserk Button, as Ito tends to find out the hard way.
    • The Ota Family has some kind of bizarre obsession with fighting Ito; Said family (and the members you explicitly fight) include: Ota, an uncle of your classmate, Ota, another uncle of your Classmate, Ota, the grandfather of your classmate, and Isono, a housewife living next to the Ota Family.
    • Edmond stands out by having an even quirkier personality than the rest; He has a constant Verbal Tic, he drinks coke a lot, and he tends to slap things with a Harite rush.
    • Tanaka is a quite literal alien living in Japan, having flying saucers and jellyfish aliens for business partners, and his only friend is Edmond.
    • Yoshida may be a Ridiculously Average Guy in the eyes of Ito, but as it turns out, he's become a Rubber Man upon forming Petit Ganon, and apparently can gift people powers by complimenting them.
    • Ito's Master Gouda is a Scatterbrained Senior that borders on being a Psychopathic Manchild, freaking out over the fact that he has 285 years to live, and regularly taking advantage of online organizations like Petit Ganon.
  • Cloudcuckooland: In all honesty, if people came at you in droves of 285, then you know that this place and its people have a lot of screws loose. That part about the 285 people coming for Ito had an even crazier reason for even occurring in the first place: They're apparently a subtle message that Ito's mentor, Master Gouda, has 285 years left to live, something that Ito considered way too subtle. Another thing to note that being able to solve 2 + 3 within 12 seconds is apparently a sign of high intelligence, and that being able to solve 2 + 3 in 3 seconds is apparently superhuman.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Edmond stands out in comparison to the other (already quirky) characters, what with his Verbal Tic and his utterly bizarre personality (He may or may not have an ancestor with a similar personality in Sorakomi's other game Sakura Blade).
  • Credits Montage: With a little bit of Credits Gag; The disclaimer notes: "It may be a little bit different from the actual game because of the characters' delusions and desires." The very first thing we see after that is Okada throwing a Rocket Punch at Ito, blowing up a pagoda behind him. Every slide after that shows increasingly ludicrous scenarios:
    • An Ueno brother throwing multiple pieces of crumbled up tissue, with Ito whipping a bat out and taking a stance
    • Kondo freaking out at Bonta crashing the bathroom
    • Sato looking proud in front of his statue (while Ito, who has managed to find himself on Statue Sato's head, realizes he's about to fall and take the head with him)
    • Ito, along with the Ota Family, all enraged and with twigs poking out of them
    • Ito throwing coke bottles as Edmond rapidly throws out Harite slaps
    • Ito shooting a laser gun at Tanaka and his business partners
    • Yoshida menacing Ito by stretching both his body and face, much to some woman's horror (it can be inferred that Ito's expression is more or less the same)
    • Ito riding the waves while holding some necklaces as Master Gouda is on some clifftop, hoarding pots
    • Ito and several Haniwa doing a "Last Supper" Steal
    • And finally Ito choking and dying after taking a bite of spoiled deep fried bread
  • Cruel Elephant: Bonta is known solely for shooting out apples and breaking Kondo's bathroom every once in a while.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Okada seems to have crossed this in the final level; He's begging for Ito to refer to him as at least a human person.
  • Flunky Boss: Yoshida, who has two Elite Mooks by his side in the first fight.
  • Human Aliens: Tanaka. His "Business Partners" take on the form of flying saucers and jellyfish in the credits.
  • Idiot Crows: One flies into Master Gouda's gym after he reveals that he has 285 years to live.
  • Kamehame Hadoken: Ito has exactly 3 variants. Tanaka and his business partner "Suzuki" can do one too.
  • Narcissist: Mr. Sato. Aside from the aforementioned bronze statue, he can summon bronze statues of himself as an attack.
  • Man Behind the Man: Master Gouda, or at least he claims he is. The true power is unknown, really.
  • Marathon Boss: Okada at the end. He has a whopping 30 hit points (not counting times when you hit him while he charges up his One-Hit Kill Rocket Punch, which deals about 3 damage to him), and unlike the rest of the other encounters, it's actually for real.
  • Old Master: Master Gouda, one of the hardest bosses to fight in the game.
  • One-Man Army: Ito. Again, he can take on 285 enemies per level.
  • Only Friend: Edmond, to Tanaka.
  • Only Sane Man:
    • Okada, who's increasingly becoming more desperate as Ito continues to forget more and more about who the former is, even calling him an ant trying to steal deep fried bread.
    • Ito actually does show some shades of this, but he's not as straight and level-headed as Okada.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Sure, Suzuki, you're definitely not the local goofball Edmond.
  • Power Copy: Ito can do this upon completing a list of conditions during a boss fight. Yoshida inverts this: He gives people powers by complimenting them.
  • Putting the "Pal" in Principal: Ito describes Principal Sato as such, referring to him as "Mr. Sato who lives in three buildings away from my house."
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs:
    • Ito was practically forced to use this when up against 285 enemies.
    • The main move of Edmond, the local goofball.
    • Yoshida's stretchy form is a downplayed variant, though it's fairly realistic for a Rubber Man. Ito's rubber form is also like this.
    • Okada occasionally partakes in this, though it reaches to a point where he can unleash multiple rocket punches at a time.
  • Recurring Boss: Okada, who fights you a total of 5 times, counting the Boss Rush at the 10th world. The other bosses only fight you twice at most.
  • Ridiculously Average Guy: What Yoshida apparently is to Ito, and it's even supported in Sorakomi Mine's other game Which is Yoshida? Yoshida is far from normal, even by the game's standards.
  • Rival Final Boss: Also Okada.
  • Rocket Punch: Okada's special ability. It initially starts off weak, but at the ending, Okada's fist has become so large and strong that it's a guaranteed One-Hit Kill if Ito doesn't finish Okada off.
  • Rubber Man: Yoshida, initially to his limbs, though it reaches to the point where he can stretch his own head. Of course, Ito, being the power copier that he is, can also do this (though, judging from the dialogue in both of Yoshida's fights, this may have been against his will).
  • Shout-Out: An In-Universe variant: Ito describes Yoshida's group "Petit Ganon" as one to a famous anime: Take This, Fantasy!note
  • The Smurfette Principle: Isono is a housewife living next to the Ota family, and is the only explicitly female character Ito ever fights, though he muses if there are other female Ota members. It most certainly does not help that Isono looks exactly like the Ota family.
  • Soundtrack Dissonance: Commonly happens during basic levels. You could be fending off against waves upon waves of enemies, and the OST that would play sounds like a happy-go-lucky song. Averted in Chapter 9, where you come to Master Gouda's place; It plays Sad Battle Music, up until the big twist.
  • Storm of Blades: Master Gouda's special attack.
  • Super Mode: Three, in fact:
  • The Themepark Version: Ito describes Edmond's domain as this.
Ito: It is more like Japon that a foreign person imagined.
  • Time Skip: The 6 year gap between the first game and its sequel is treated like one, considering that the mobile version had both games in the same app.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Ito's favorite is deep fried bread. It's gone moldy after 6 years.
  • Turns Red: Mr. Sato does this the moment you break his statue.
  • Unknown Rival: Ito and Okada. Ito doesn't even know who Okada is (except for the first fight, where he's apparently scared of a 6 year grudge that gave Ito some deep fried bread), calling him "Green Guy" after the first fight and generally forgetting his existence. It comes to the point where Ito eventually calls Okada an ant trying to take his deep fried bread.
  • Verbal Tic: Edmond has a tendency to finish his sentences with the phrase "gowasu" (which hints at him being from the Kyushu region, particularly in Kagoshima, which has "gowasu" as a copula). He can also utilize said phrase as individual syllables (As in "GO", "WA", and "SU" are all individual projectiles) as weaponry. Word of God does confirm that Edmond is actually from Kagoshima.
  • Weaponized Ball: The Bowling Smile is the most traditional example; The absolutely humongous "1" ball is a much less active variant.
  • Wolfpack Boss: The rematches with the Ueno brothers and the Ota Family.
  • Words Can Break My Bones:
    • Weaponized by Kondo, Ito's English teacher. FORWARD explodes into letters contained in balls in a forward direction, BACK is similar to FORWARD but it's in a backward direction, BOMB is similar to the others but it's either up or down, WALL creates a wall upon exploding, and RETURN is the only attack that doesn't explode, only return.
    • Edmond has a syllable variant of this: "GO", "WA", and "SU" are all individual syllables that he summons to attack you.
  • World of Badass: Don't be surprised when one guy can absolutely pummel about 285 enemies. There's way, WAY more badass characters than just Ito.
