    Live-Action TV
  • In Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Ex-Aid draws his power from a series of Platformer video games starring a protagonist calls Mighty. Among other famous platformer heroes that Mighty takes after, he seems to resemble Kirby the most, as he's pink and is said to grow stronger the more he eats. One game in the series, Maximum Mighty, displays Mighty driving a mech suit with his face on it (and it gives Ex-Aid a similar set of Powered Armor), not unlike Kirby: Planet Robobot.

    Music
  • Brockhampton: In "Boy Bye", Matt Champion likens himself to Kirby since he doesn't take damage, like the pink puffball when using the "Stone" copy ability.
  • The Nekopara Vol.1 SiIvaGunner rip Hot Blooded-Undying Perseverance (True Arena) is a reference to how Kirby games give bosses a different theme for their battles in The Arena or The True Arena.
  • The artist Snail's House sometimes references Kirby in his works, such as titling a song "Warp Star", or quoting "Green Greens" at the very end of "Pixel Galaxy".

    Video Games
  • An NPC in Lost Tower from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl is a Roughneck named Kirby and uses Cleffa, a pink spherical Pokémon that is associated with stars.
  • The Unibo enemy from Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is based off of the Gordo enemy.
  • One of the posters in the Yoshi Theater from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga features Kirby.
  • The Japanese name of the Pokémon Snorlax, Kabigon, is inspired by Kirby in a roundabout way. According to Junichi Masuda in a 2019 interview, Snorlax is inspired by Game Freak employee Kōji Nishino, who was nicknamed "Kirby" (Japanese: カービィ Kābyi) by the other staff thanks to his Big Eater tendencies. Further evidence is this piece of concept art which resembles Kirby, Nishino, and Snorlax all at once.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening has enemies based on Kirby called Anti-Kirbys in the Eagle's Tower.
  • The Roco Kingdom Licensed Game Big Adventure directly lifts the "treasure collect" sound from Kirby Super Star's "The Great Cave Offensive" mode, playing it whenever you (unsurprisingly) collect whatever's in a chest or free another pet.
  • Being another game series created by HAL Laboratory, BoxBoy! features references to the Kirby series.
    • One challenge in BoxBoy! has the score objects in the shape of Kirby.
    • A few of the purchasable comics throughout the series feature Kirby (only seen from the back).
  • Kirby makes a blink-or-you'll-miss-it appearance in Fortnite's Party Royale mode, as seen in this trailer videonote  at 0:01. He's doing the Dance Moves emote.

    Visual Novels
  • If you find the Rainbow Shell in Voices from the Sea, Maris will mention that you can make the Rainbow Sword out of it.

    Web Comics
    Web Original
    Western Animation
  • Amphibia: In the episode "Adventures in Catsitting", The Plantars do a victory dance upon reaching the vet with the music sounding similar to Kirby.
  • In episodes 99 and 100 of Kaeloo, both parts of a Multi-Part Episode, Kaeloo and her friends wear costumes of well-known video game characters. Mr. Cat's costume is a fusion between Pikachu from Pokémon and Kirby.
  • Robot Chicken: Kirby appears in a sketch titled "Kirby's Secret Problem" in the season 6 episode "Choked on a Bottle Cap", alongside Yoshi.
  • MAD: In a sketch entitled "Kirby's Star Tours", Kirby was giving away Hollywood star tours in which people get to ride on Warp Stars, but the Warp Stars fly too fast and they land in random places.
