    Episodes 1- 8
The chapter begins with Team Mikazuki Villa, Momoko's team, and Kanagi scattered throughout Kamihama City and dealing with various problems, such as asking people to get to the Coordinator or fighting an unseen enemy. Iroha narrates how their situation had changed within a single day, but decides that she has to face reality and fight.

That morning, Tsuruno and Felicia discussing an anime they were watching that was based on the city-building game that they all played. Iroha feels relieved knowing that their house was more lively than ever, because she liked it that way. It had only been two days since she and the rest of the team defeated the Rumor of Chelation Land and came back together. However, she had trouble coming to terms with the fact that Touka and Nemu tried to get Tsuruno to kill people for the creature they called "Embryo Eve." Having halted another of their plans, Iroha was worried about what Touka meant by "not going to play nice." Thus, she decides that they ought to have another strategy meeting after going to see Kanagi at her workplace to thank her for her help.

Iroha considers how Touka and Nemu were wrong about her memories being false because of the Rumors that surrounded Satomi Medical Center, and considers that there may be one Rumor that Nemu can't erase. Rena comes over to hit Iroha to get her to stop spacing out, since everyone else already left the class. They meet up with Momoko and Kaede to get to the strategy meeting, and Iroha notes that Kaede seemed much better. Iroha talks about how she wishes to stop the Wings of the Magius, but notes that doing so meant coming up with their own solution to prevent Witches from being born. Kaede asks Iroha how she managed to cope with the idea of becoming a Witch, and she says that this was a good enough price for saving Ui's life. They agree that this was something they would have to think about after defeating the Wings of the Magius.

Yachiyo heads to the maid cafe on her own, considering why Mifuyu had helped to free her friends from their brainwashing. She decides that she has to help her shake off her sense of responsibility towards the Magius, when she hears someone coming through some bushes. She turns to see that it's Ren Isuzu, who transforms back into her school uniform, clearly injured from a fight. She says she's fine, but doesn't say much else, so Yachiyo offers her a candy to calm her down. Ren explains that a Magical Girl wearing black clothing and a gold pendant ambushed her. Yachiyo realizes that Ren just described a Black Feather, and decides to take her to the Coordinator, who worked in a no-combat zone.

Kanagi welcomes her guests to the cafe, and Yachiyo arrives last. She explains how she had to stay back to help another Magical Girl who was attacked by the Wings of the Magius. Iroha decides that they need to warn every Magical Girl they can, when they sense multiple Witches appear simultaneously. She asks the team to split up to account for other areas in the city, when they are suddenly surrounded by guns. Mami appears to speak with them about what she was doing, admitting that she was the one behind the Witches and the attack on Magical Girls, whom she referred to as heretics who would try to stop the Magius. She notes that Madoka and the others couldn't understand their cause, but she chose not to kill them but only keep them from leaving Mitakihara. Yachiyo challenges Mami, who immediately summons her Doppel. Despite being vastly outnumbered, Mami is able to hold them back. She decides to leave before they cause too much of a disturbance, saying that Iroha has nobody to blame but herself if anyone dies. The group consider that only Mami's friends could free her from the Uwasa, and they prioritize protecting the other Magical Girls. Yachiyo reluctantly admits that bringing them to Mitama meant telling them that they risk becoming Witches. Iroha wants to help with this plan, but has a Gut Feeling that finding the Rumor of the Eternal Sakura would be the better option for her. She brings Yachiyo to the side to ask her if she can go to Hokuyo Ward to find it, and the latter agrees that such a Rumor would never spread from the mountains. Iroha insists that it could be the perfect location for the Magius to hide their headquarters, so Yachiyo agrees to let her go there with Sana.

Yachiyo heads toward Kosho Ward and senses almost no Magical Girls. She notices a woman with a Witch's Kiss and goes to save her before she hangs herself, before heading into the Witch's Labyrinth. After dealing with it, Yachiyo carries the lady to a park before being approached by a Black Feather. The Feather abruptly attacks her without consideration for whoever may be watching, so she rushes back to where the Labyrinth was and asks her to explain why annihilation was the answer. She is horrified when she realizes that the Feather wouldn't speak properly, and is deliberately aiming at her Soul Gem. Other Feathers appear, and Yachiyo decides to run before they overwhelm her. Yachiyo gets them to retreat after enough effort, and realizes the Magius must have used a Rumor to strengthen their Feathers. She calls everyone and notes that only Momoko, Kaede, and Tsuruno were able to answer. Yachiyo suggests they stay in pairs. Kaede decides to head back to the Coordinator with her friend who was attacked by the Feathers. Tsuruno is about to ask Yachiyo something, but their call is suddenly cut off.

Yachiyo decides to pair up with Kanagi at Daito, when she hears a Magical Girl scream out. She runs toward an alley to find Riko Chiaki being attacked by Black Feathers. Noting how low their enemies have fallen, she asks Riko to let her handle them. Afterwards, she cleans Riko's Soul Gem and asks her to go to Mitama and wait for a proper explanation there. Before leaving, she asks Riko if there were other Magical Girls like Tsukasa in Kosho Ward, but is told that nobody else was there. Thus, Yachiyo decides to leave to find Kanagi, only for her to have come to her instead.

    Momoko/Kanagi

Momoko manages to evade some Feathers in Sakae Ward, noting that they've gone berserk. They catch up to her, chasing her into an alley. Just as Momoko is surrounded, she is rescued by Aimi Eri, who happened to be passing by. After they get the Feathers retreat for good, Momoko cleans Aimi's Grief Seed before warning her that they could target her next despite her having nothing to do with them. Aimi insists that she needs to go to karaoke with her love interest, but Momoko tells her that her life could be in danger since the Feathers saw her face. Momoko answers a call from Yachiyo, but is cut off in the middle of their conversation. Since Kaede was going back to the Coordinator, Momoko initially plans to do the same, but then Aimi senses her schoolmates Masara Kagami and Kokoro Awane nearby. Aimi briefly falls into an ImagineSpot about Hayato congratulating her for rescuing them, which greatly motivates her.

The pair arrive to find several Feathers attacking Masara, while Kokoro had fallen unconscious. Momoko immediately decides to help, while admitting that she's somewhat worn out. While Masara is thankful for Aimi and Momoko coming to save her, she suspects that Momoko somehow provoked the Feathers into hurting innocent Magical Girls. Momoko admits that she's technically correct, but suggests that if Masara cannot trust her explanation, they should hear it from the Coordinator instead. They heal Kokoro's Soul Gem with a Grief Seed, and she thanks them upon waking up. While Masara decides to carry Kokoro herself, Momoko realizes that there was still no service for her to call Rena, and Aimi screams that she can't tell anyone that she isn't going to karaoke.

Kanagi returns to Daito Ward in hopes of finding any Magical Girls who aren't already Feathers. She notes that many of them leaving Daito was just another sign of the instability of the area. The weeds overgrowing the roads reminds of one last Magical Girl she remembered, so she takes a visit to Himika Mao's home. Her kid brother comes to greet her, saying that Himika went out for something. They suddenly hear her yell about finding a 500-yen coin, which tips Kanagi off to where she went. She asks Himika if she sensed any Witches, and the two agree to fight them together while Kanagi tells her about the Wings of the Magius. Himika initially brushes off the idea of them annihilating all Magical Girls in Kamihama, then points out that they left her alone after she half-listened to their offers for long enough. She admits that she was too content with her life to care about whatever freeing Magical Girls meant. Just as they defeat the last Witch, the Feathers find and attack them. After pushing back the Feathers, Himika decides to heed Kanagi's advice and go to the Coordinator with the Grief Seed she got beforehand. Kanagi guesses that Mami had planned for them to split up to be taken down one by one but realizes that her phone didn't have service. Regardless, she decides to meet up with Yachiyo by sensing her magic.

    Kaede/Rena

Kaede chooses to look for her friend, Konomi Haruna, at the flower shop she works at in Shinsei Ward. Along the way, she runs into a Black Feather that immediately attacks her. She begins to panic but remembers the strength Momoko and Rena gave her. As Kaede finds herself slowly surrounded, Konomi shows up to help her. After they get the Feathers to leave, Konomi begins to mumble about their other friend Kako Natsume running into similar looking Magical Girls. She elaborates that Kako barged into the flower shop and collapsed after warning her about people in black robes. She seemed to have used a lot of magic, so Kokomi had been out searching for a Witch when she ran into Kaede.

As Kako begins to recover, she wakes up and insists she can move. Konomi offers her some chamomile tea while asking Kaede to explain why the Black Feathers tried to kill them. Kaede notes that they used to be more reserved and shouldn't have been so intimidating to fight. She accidentally mentions that they wanted to free Magical Girls, before quickly insisting that they had terrible methods. Kaede then insisted they go to the Coordinator for a better explanation. She initially considers going out to look for more Magical Girls, but hesitates and decides that Momoko and Rena would also be with Mitama, when she answers Yachiyo's phone call.

Rena investigates Mizuna Ward for Magical Girls or Witches before checking the school there. She finds Asuka Tatsuki and Sasara Minagi who warn her about robed Magical Girls attacking them. Rena uses her transformation magic to imitate a Black Feather to ask if that's what they look like, but Asuka jumps to the conclusion that she's one of them. As Sasara tries to deescalate the situation, they are attacked by the Feathers. After repelling the Feathers, Rena is finally given the time to explain what's going on. Asuka then declares that she'll kill herself as an apology for accusing Rena, which gets Sasara to laugh a bit when Asuka thinks she won't stop her. Rena asks them to come with her to Mitama for a further explanation, when Asuka senses a Witch nearby.

As they head into the Labyrinth they find that Ria Ami and Manaka Kurumi were already fighting some Familiars there. Rena suddenly gets a call, but complains that she's too busy to answer it. After they're done with the Witch, Ria complains that she could have handled it herself, only changing her mind when Manaka reminds her to show some gratitude. Rena suggests that the Witch being tougher than most others meant it might have been raised by the Wings of the Magius. Ria then complains that her phone isn't getting any service, so she can't call her friend Mayu Kozue. Rena then asks for all of them to come with her to the Coordinator's, disappointed that she didn't answer Yachiyo's call while she could.

    Tsuruno/Felicia

Felicia chases away a Black Feather at Sankyo Ward before remembering her mission. She then senses another Magical Girl, who she assumes to be another Black Feather. She takes her by surprise only to find that it was Akira Shinobu, who was friends with Nanaka Tokiwa, both of whom Felicia tried to work for as a Mercenary. Akira assumes she's still upset about them turning her down, but asks if she could help her beat a Witch, which Felicia eagerly agrees to. Afterwards, Felicia explains that she's given up mercenary work to work in a permanent group with Yachiyo, before saying that they should get to Mitama before any Feathers appear to attack them. Akira says she already heard that her ally Kako had been protected from those robed Magical Girls, and asks if Felicia could explain the situation to Nanaka. Felicia reluctantly agrees, knowing that she'll be put on the spot for not being able to explain properly. They go to a restaurant to meet Nanaka, who is surprised to see Felicia of all the possible Magical Girls. She happens to be with Hazuki Yusa, whom Felicia heard about from her friend Ayame Mikuri. Felicia tries to explain what was happening, but isn't able give the proper context on her own. She tries to call her friends but finds that there's no signal, yelling out for Tsuruno in exasperation.

Tsuruno chooses to investigate Minagi ward, since that was where she last remembered the Black Feathers removing her blindfold back when she was brainwashed. She then guesses that they may have removed the base from there already, and chooses to go look for other Magical Girls instead. She soon finds some Feathers who immediately attack her. After scaring them away, she senses that the Feathers were going after another Magical Girl and heads over to help. The Magical Girl, Hinano Miyako, acknowledges that Tsuruno works with Yachiyo and gladly accepts her help in warding off the Feathers.

When the Feathers leave, Hinano recalls them asking her to join them while complaining about Tsuruno and her friends. Tsuruno asks if Hinano could trust her answer, and the latter says she's willing to trust her due to how the Feathers acted almost drugged. Tsuruno has a "Eureka!" Moment as she considers that a Rumor might be causing their changed behavior. Hinano then remarks that she saw the Feathers release a Witch and asks Tsuruno to help her stop it. Tsuruno answers a call from Yachiyo before heading into the Labyrinth. She offers Hinano the Grief Seed dropped after the Witch is defeated, but she refuses when Tsuruno admits that she didn't have any other Grief Seeds. Tsuruno then explains what is happening, but Hinano decides that has to go look for her assistants, one of whom was Emiri Kisaki, before going to the Coordinator. Tsuruno realizes that she can't call Yachiyo back, so she considers looking for Felicia near Emiri's counseling room instead. With this in mind, Hinano decides to look for her other friend Rika Ayano.

Tsuruno finds Felicia with Nanaka and the others, and gives a better explanation about what the Wings of the Magius are doing, while asking them to go the the Coordinator for the bigger picture. Just then, Emiri runs in with Ayame, Konoha Shizumi and Meiyui Chun. With the growing crowd becoming too rowdy, Nanaka and Akira agree that they should leave the restaurant before they get banned. While Nanaka and Hazuki leave with their teammates, Tsuruno and Felicia decide to stay behind after sensing Shizuku Hozumi's magic. They follow it into an alley where they find her being beaten up by Feathers. After fending off the Feathers, they rush to Shizuku and find that her Soul Gem hadn't been broken, and they clean it using a Grief Seed that she had dropped. Shizuku begins to wake up and thanks them for getting the Feathers to leave, while painfully admitting that she chose to continue working with the Wings of the Magius, and tried to run away before the other Feathers would be affected by a Rumor.

    Mitama

Mitama ponders on whether she should remain neutral, despite having kept mum about the atrocities committed by the Magius from raising Witches up to when Tsuruno got brainwashed. Just then Momoko, Rena, and Kaede barge in, asking her to lend them her space. As the room quickly fills up with evacuated Magical Girls, Mitama asks Momoko to explain herself. First, Momoko tells her that Feathers were trying to kill other Magical Girls and had released Witches all over the city. Then she asks Mitama to break her neutrality pact and tell everyone in the room what the Wings of the Magius have done. Mitama reluctantly agrees to do the right thing, even knowing that it may lose her some customers.

Momoko comments on how the atmosphere was making the place feel like medical tent in a warzone, when Tsuruno and Felicia arrive with Shizuku. Her friend Ayaka Mariko is startled by how wounded she is after calling her, and Mitama has Shizuku lie on her table to rest. Mitama and the others wait for Yachiyo and Kanagi to come back, but some of the Magical Girls grow impatient and ask for the truth. Ayaka then admits that it was Yachiyo who told her to come to the Coordinator while she moved to the heliport. Tsuruno realizes that would have been the perfect spot for an ambush and decides to leave with Felicia. Thus, Mitama decides to begin her explanation without them. Before this, she warns that if anyone is too afraid to hear the truth, they could leave or plug their ears.

Mitama explains that several months ago, the Wings of the Magius were formed and begin to covert work after Rumors started to become real and Witches gathered in Kamihama. Yachiyo would form a team with Tsuruno and Iroha to fight Rumors before running into the Feathers for the first time. As they continued to come to blows, Iroha and her friends assumed that the Wings of the Magius were just an aberrant group with ambiguous goals. One day however, the Magius would personally explain that they wished to free Magical Girls from the curse of becoming Witches. Mitama then explained how the Magius brainwashed Iroha's friends and fused Tsuruno with an Uwasa in an attempt to extract energy from the emotions of innocent people. She summarizes that the Wings of the Magius are a group with an admirable motive but would sacrifice anyone for it to come true.

Asuka and Sasara are visibly disappointed by the truth they've asked for, and Mitama clarifies that for the time being, their Soul Gem would release a Doppel instead of turning into a Grief Seed as long as they stay in Kamihama. When Konoha remarks that the Magius represent one kind of response to the origin of Witches, Momoko points out that it's up to the Magical Girls as individuals to decide whether the Magius were doing the right thing and apologizes for dragging them into their mess. Nanaka says that isn't anything for her to apologize for, but asks if she has an alternative to what the Magius are doing. Momoko insists that Iroha told her that they should all band together to come up with a new plan instead of clashing over ideals. Ren remarks that this is the right path if she doesn't want to plunge herself into despair as a Witch. Hazuki, Ayame, and Konoha decide that they'd rather be content with keeping the Azalea House than search for their own freedom. Emiri then suggests that anyone who is interested should get to the heliport before the Feathers grow bored. Those who can't accept what the Wings of the Magius are doing agree with this and leave.

Rika chuckles to herself about how ridiculous she was for wishing to be with someone just to break up with her before finding out she was doomed to become a Witch. She then begins to cry, saying sorry for stopping Ren. Meanwhile, Aimi laments that she can't commit to a relationship with Hayato if she ends up killing him. Kokoro tells her that they aren't really doomed to a life of suffering if they've fought for what's best since the day they made their wish and they should just go back to being happy. Ren agrees with Kokoro's Rousing Speech, telling Rika that just getting to meet her was enough to make being a Magical Girl worth it. As everyone begins to calm down, Mitama realizes that Kanagi began to think that she was never a neutral party to begin with, and decides to make her own move.

    Yachiyo

Having met up with Kanagi, they explain what they've seen to each other. Kanagi remarks on how the Feathers have been reduced to zombies, and Yachiyo suggests that a Rumor may have caused that. However, the only way they can confirm this is through the Amane sisters. Kanagi agrees to show Yachiyo where Tsukasa lives, when a White Feather appears to block them. As it gets dark out, Yachiyo and Kanagi continue to fight the Feather when Yachiyo gets knocked back. The noise begins to get a stranger's attention, so they immediately transform into their civilian clothes while the Feather retreated. The stranger asks them what the commotion was about when he suddenly recognizes Yachiyo from the magazines he read. An older man calls out for him to get back to work, while grumbling about Tsukasa not doing her chores. The two girls look up to find that they've arrived at the Amane Bamboo Studio and immediately ask Tsukasa's father about where she went. He admits that he hasn't seen her in days, and requests for Yachiyo to tell her that he isn't angry and just wants her home. As they leave, Kanagi decides that the easiest way to find the Rumor is to just read the Feathers' minds.

The pair decide to move westward to look for a Feather and run into Ayaka as she fends off a Black Feather. They demand that she head to the Coordinator, but she insists on staying to help them fight the Feather. Kanagi begins to chase down the Feather while Ayaka comments that they don't seem to respond to her attacks at all. Fortunately Ayaka had kept a Grief Seed with her, so Yachiyo decides to leave her behind to follow Kanagi to a nearby helipad. There, Kanagi is ambushed by more Feathers, forcing Yachiyo to distract them while Kanagi reads the mind of the Feather she knocked down. But when she tries this, it hurts her so badly that it startles her. As she explains this to Yachiyo, Mami shows up claiming that she had used that Feather to bait them to the helipad. She offers for Yachiyo and Kanagi to join in the Magius' freedom, but they call her out for letting the Feathers take so much abuse and for letting herself be a puppet. Disappointed by their refusal, Mami summoned a massive horde of Feathers, including the Amane sisters to kill them. While Yachiyo focuses on the Amane sisters, Kanagi eventually forces away enough Feathers to face Mami directly and tries to read her mind too. Kanagi is horrified to find that Mami's feelings are genuine and there was no way to reason with her.

Mami knocks Kanagi towards Yachiyo's direction, and has the two of them surrounded. Kanagi then tells Mami that she isn't being human and that her heart had become completely hollow and washed out. Yachiyo wonders if this meant there was no way for them to connect with Mami's heart. Mami commands the Amane sisters to take away Yachiyo and Kanagi's Soul Gems to feed to Eve. As the two prepare to run through the Feathers, Tsuruno and Felicia suddenly appear and scatter the Feathers while providing their allies with some badly needed Grief Seeds. As Mami prepares to attack again, one of the Feathers begin to mutter to themselves before realizing her pendant was missing. Yachiyo and her friends decide to hold everyone off while Kanagi reads the now sane Feather's mind. Just as the Amane sisters try to attack her, she returns and tells the others that they need to smash the pendant to refute the Rumor of the Receiver Pendant. Felicia finds the nearest Black Feather, and immediately destroys her pendant, summoning the Uwasa of the Flower Speaker. Yachiyo chooses to face Mami while Tsuruno, Kanagi, and Felicia deal with the Uwasa, the Amane sisters, and the Feathers respectively.

Tsuruno succeeds in singlehandedly destroying the Uwasa, which stops the Feathers' emotions from being numbed. With the odds in their favor, the team decide that Mami's plan to annihilate them failed. But she begins to laugh as the power to the entire city goes out. She declares that the city's power and radio waves were now under the Magius' control. Yachiyo demands to know what they've done, and Mami tells her that the Magius have just summoned Walpurgisnacht to Kamihama. Yachiyo and Kanagi become terrified by what this could mean. Felicia asks what a Walpurgisnacht was, and Tsuruno tells her that it is rumored to be the worst Witch to exist and is capable of unimaginable disasters. Unbeknownst to everyone else, the Magius had taken control of cell phone towers to produce an image that tells Witches that Kamihama was a paradise waiting to be destroyed. And using an observatory, Touka had released a specific signal to agitate Walpurgisnacht's Grief Seed. Mami says that Walpurgisnacht would help Eve to hatch to bring them all salvation, before summoning more Feathers. Yachiyo decides that if Mami planned to destroy her enemies' emotional pillars, then they have to do the same by focusing on removing her from her Rumor.

While Yachiyo continued to fight on even ground with Mami, the others begin to falter. Mami remarks that Yachiyo seemed special compared to them, and Yachiyo counters that she didn't fight for seven years just to fall when she begins to feel strangely warm inside. Two familiar voices call to Yachiyo from within and she openly declares she has the power to stop Mami. Mami is confused by Yachiyo's words and summons her Doppel, saying that she still can't understand why Yachiyo would stop her. Yachiyo decides that all she needs to hear. As they continue to fight, Yachiyo begins to push Mami back, conjuring as many weapons as her. She declares that she'll tear away the Uwasa Mami is wearing with her spears, but Mami insists her actions have nothing to do with the Uwasa. They charge at each other, and Mami's feelings pour out in a flash of light: her regrets for dragging her friends into their fates, for believing that her efforts meant anything, for accepting what the Magius have done, wishing that someone could kill her if her real self is swallowed up by the Uwasa. As the dust settled, Mami transforms back to her normal self and collapses. Yachiyo remarks that their desire to protect their friends allowed them to connect on a certain level, and Mami tearfully agrees that they should come to a better understanding next time. However, the Uwasa that was part of Mami begins to giggle, and the Amane sisters tell the Feathers they could still capture the enemies without their saint. Just then, Momoko arrives with the group of Magical Girls that followed her. One of the White Feathers insists that the Amane sisters report back to the Magius while the other Feathers hold them off.

After the Uwasa of the Kamihama Saint was dealt with, Momoko's team hands Yachiyo, Kanagi, Tsuruno and Felicia some of the Grief Seeds that Mitama supplied them with. They go over to assist Mami, who had now fallen unconscious from having to fight the Uwasa so greatly, while remarking how delicate she was behind her mature façade. Momoko points out that they won't need to worry about any straggling Feathers as the Magical Girls are discussing how to deal with them. Nanaka agrees to escort Mami to the Coordinator due to having met her before she was brainwashed by the Magius, while Yachiyo takes the rest of Team Mikazuki to meet up with Iroha and Sana.

    Iroha/Sana

As she makes her way into the forest, Iroha notes the way Feathers were entering and leaving the area, which she and Sana decide to secure when all movement stops. Sana eventually reports that all the Feathers have left, so they both enter the Rumor together. They hold hands so Sana can make Iroha invisible and walk forward until they find themselves in a Labyrinth with just a blue sky and a large, barren sakura tree at the center with four chairs beneath it. It seemed like nobody was around, so Iroha lets go of Sana's hand to search the Rumor. Almost immediately, Touka and Nemu walk into the Rumor and spot Iroha and Sana. Touka begins to get upset, knowing that despite Nemu not spreading the Rumor, Iroha somehow found her way there. Iroha claims that not only did she remember the Rumor, she personally came up with it herself and knows why Nemu couldn't destroy it. Touka decides she's heard enough and threatens to vaporize Iroha and Sana.

As the two pairs fight each other, Iroha continues to reason with Touka, but Touka charges up an attack which Sana runs in front of. She collapses and the Magius prepare to finish off Iroha. However Iroha dares them to let her explain what the Rumor of the Eternal Sakura is and they agree. She describes three girls who were discharged from a hospital and brought to a sakura tree to reunite with a fourth girl who always visited them. Only when this occurs, will the tree fully bloom as a celebration. Although Iroha is correct about the details, Touka and Nemu refuse to believe her. Iroha gets the idea to toss her Kyubey at them, assuming that touching him would make them remember Ui the way she did. Touka knocks it aside and Nemu pushes it back at Iroha. Seeing that Iroha's idea failed to make them remember, Touka charges up her attack again as Iroha and Sana beg them to stop. Suddenly something strikes Touka, and she assumes Sana did it. Nemu turns around and points out that the Uwasa is protecting Iroha, which is proof that Iroha was part of the Rumor. Touka still wanted to fight, but Nemu holds her back while insisting that they calm down and hear about what other memories they've forgotten from Iroha.

Iroha recalls the precious bonds that formed between Ui, Touka and Nemu, and how they grew inspired by the city outside their hospital. One day, Iroha came by and found them in front of a large map of Kamihama, with locations marked by the girls who wanted to visit them. Because they've realized how limited their view of the world was, they wanted to research places to explore in the city. Sometimes they would even add photos given to them by people who pointed out these spots. But when the information flow began to slow down, so Nemu proposed that they imagine some places that they wish existed in Kamihama to compare with the real ones. Then when they get better and leave the hospital they can see just how accurate their fantasies were. Eventually, they asked Iroha to make up one herself, so she told them the story of the Eternal Sakura.

When Iroha is done telling her story, Nemu applauds her but explains that it won't affect the Magius' goals because they can't relate with it. The Uwasa offers to continue protecting Iroha with Sana, but before Touka and Nemu could destroy them, Alina gets in their way before knocking Iroha unconscious. She then insists that it would be more entertaining if Iroha were fed to Eve instead of killing her themselves. Sana quickly escapes with her magic before Touka and Nemu agree with this solution, so Touka decides to leave the Uwasa of the Eternal Sakura alone under the pretense that they are only taking Iroha away and not killing her. Sana comes out of hiding and uses a Grief Seed on herself, before asking the Uwasa to stay where she is while she goes to rescue Iroha.

    Final Part
As Team Mikazuki, Momoko's group, and Kanagi head into Hokuyo Ward, they explain to Momoko and her teammates that the Magius have summoned Walpurgisnacht. They begin to face opposition from Feathers, when Mitama appears to deal with them for her allies as a means of testing some techniques she learned. The team eventually find the Uwasa of the Eternal Sakura in her Labyrinth, who informs them that Sana had told her to wait there after the Magius captured Iroha and took her to their base, Hotel Fendt Hope. The Uwasa points out where Fendt Hope is just as Mitama comes back from defeating the Feathers in her way to explain something about the Magius to them.

Iroha wakes up in a dungeon cell with her Kyubey, certain that the Uwasa of the Eternal Sakura has confirmed her memories. Touka comes by to show her a radio broadcast of laughter coming from the nearby observatory, explaining the Magius' plan to summon Walpurgisnacht after Iroha is fed to Eve.

Momoko explains to Mitama that they've already heard about Walpurgisnacht and asks how she also knew about it. Mitama admits that in exchange for staying out of the Magius' way and retaining neutrality, she agreed to cooperate with them by giving them the Grief Seeds that everyone else paid for her services, only for the Magius to tell her they won't need those to feed Eve anymore thanks to Walpurgisnacht. Rena calls her out for this, saying that the Wings of the Magius likely couldn't have gotten as far as they did without her. After some debating, Yachiyo points out that they shouldn't be wasting time arguing about it when Walpurgisnacht is coming. As the others leave to rescue Iroha, Yachiyo asks that Mitama tell them more about herself if she continues to remain by their side after they've settled the issue with the Magius. Mitama agrees, and stays in the Labyrinth to keep guard.

The Amane sisters find themselves locked into a room with Mifuyu, and their Soul Gems stolen to be fed to Eve. Meanwhile, Nemu tries to produce another Rumor but her body weakens before she could finish.

Mami wakes up to her three friends comforting her and asking if she's okay. She tearfully thanks them, now determined to right her wrongs and look for a new way through her fate alongside her fellow Magical Girls.

  • Hypno Trinket: The Uwasa of the Receiver Pendant was made to shut off the emotions of Feathers through their pendants, effectively driving them berserk and making them more effective at fighting.
  • Jumping Off the Slippery Slope: If the Wings of the Magius haven't done that by trying to make Tsuruno kill civilians, then they've certainly done it by brainwashing their Feathers into killing other Magical Girls.
  • Story Branching: This is the first chapter where individual characters split off into their separate plots, since Iroha and Sana choose to look for the Magius' headquarters while everyone else rescued the Magical Girls from the Feathers.
