HBO Max release date: 3/17/2022 (produced in 2021)
Couch Gag - Mildew Wolf.
Jailcation
- A Day in the Limelight: Gives Touche Turtle more focus than usual.
- The Alcatraz: Santo Paino is Santo Relaxo's maximum-security counterpart. It's a correctional institution where prisoners will face a nightmarish world of never-ending fire and torment. And single-ply toilet paper.
- Bait-and-Switch:
- After the bus crash, it seems like Touche Turtle has finally figured out that Dibby Dickerson is Top Cat...but he actually shows up to pay him for stopping the "criminals". TC eventually takes the money and leaves his friends to die at Santo Paino...
- ...until it's revealed that TC managed to hijack the plane and brought the gang to Santo Relaxo, meaning he came through for his friends in the end.
- The Cameo: A quintuple whammy. Dread Baron, Brak, Zorak, and The Prankster all are inmates at Santo Relaxo. Also, The Creeper is a guard at Santo Paino (albeit as a disguise).
- Can't Get in Trouble for Nuthin': Top Cat and his gang deliberately try to get arrested so they can go to Santo Relaxo. However, their 'crimes' actually help the citizens and are praised by Touche Turtle.
- Christmas Episode: Downplayed. The episode takes place during Christmas, where TC and the gang profit off the holiday. After making tons of cash, they plan to go somewhere nice for vacation. The Christmas aspect is promptly forgotten about.
- "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Lampshaded. The gang could have avoided so much trouble if they just paid for a vacation instead of scamming.
- Felony Misdemeanor: Apparently, drawing mustaches on babies is a serious crime that can warrant going to Santo Paino.
- Gone Horribly Right: The gang's attempts to get themselves framed prove successful, but they are instead sent to Santo Paino.
- Irony: Yahooey, a member of the police force, somehow ends up behind bars.
- Loony Laws: The Clean Shaven Baby Act of 1907 deems it unlawful to draw mustaches on babies.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Touche Turtle somehow cannot recognize Top Cat underneath his disguise.
- Pirate: TC's gang attempt to steal a pirate boat in order to get arrested. Unfortunately, today happens to be Pirate Day in Jellystone.
- Poke the Poodle: TC disguises himself as Special Detective Dibby Dickerson. He tells about the TC gang's supposed horrible crimes such as...doing Mustache Vandalism on babies and dressing up old men in baby clothes. Unfortunately, this turns out to be a serious crime.
- Skewed Priorities: Touche Turtle and the Goofy Guards spend their police budget on designing a cool truck. They give it a Hot Paint Job and Speed Stripes.
- Stating the Simple Solution: One of Top Cat's plans is to rain whipped cream on people using balloons. Brain suggests that they should just spray the whipped cream on them directly.
- Unishment: Although Touche Turtle describes Santo Relaxo as a horrible place, it seems more like a reward than a punishment. It has almost no security and is located on a very nice beach.
Balloon Kids
- The Cameo:
- Yankee Doodle Pigeon swoops in to steal the kids' loaf of bread.
- The Sky Pirates are all villains from Yogi's Gang.
- The Lil' Professional badge has Scare Bear from Yogi's Space Race on it.
- The sirens are clearly modeled after The Roman Holidays. Alluded to when So-So says they look to be "of the Roman variety".
- Chekhov's Skill: Shag, Yakky, and Augie all get to put their Merit Badges for Everything to good use.
- Furry Reminder: At one point, Augie attacks Mr. Smog by biting onto his arm and holding on.
- Gratuitous Japanese: Peter sings "Fune wa watashi no joseidesu", which translates to something like "a woman handed over by a ship".
- Levitating Lotus Position: Shag's zen meditation badge is put to good use when he meditates, levitates, and is enlightened on what to do.
- Merit Badges for Everything: There are merit badges for advanced zen meditation, smooth jazz performance, and "bakesmanship".
- Our Sirens Are Different: When the gang enters the mesosphere, they encounter sirens. They don't exactly look like the typical mermaids, instead looking like manatees (who have a history of being mistaken for mermaids, to the point their scientific order is ''Sirenia''). However, they still do brainwash people with their hip-hop music.
- Running Gag: Wally's car getting destroyed by falling people.
- Scout-Out: The kids are members of the Kabong Scouts.
- Shout-Out: At the end of the episode, So-So comes floating down with an umbrella similar to Mary Poppins.
- Sky Pirate: The gang runs afoul of sky pirates consisting of Captain Swipe, Lotta Litter, the Gossipy Witch, and Mr. Smog.
- Special Guest: George Takei as So-So.
- Suddenly Speaking: So-So has never spoken up until this episode. Lampshaded by Yakky.Yakky: He speaks!
- Tempting Fate: It looks like things are looking up for Peter...until his ship crashes down on him.
- Toilet Humor: Peter wants the kids to call him 'Mr. PP'Shag: No.
- Trickster Mentor: So-So purposefully did not help the kids so they could learn things on their own. Deconstructed for laughs when the kids point out that they're just kids and almost died multiple times.
