This is the character page for The Frauds as a group and as individuals.

The Frauds as a trio personify the following tropes:
- Affectionate Parody: They started as an example of this to Norwegian comedians Ylvis. They have also been known to parody Calle's other comedy group, The Raske Menn.
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: Whilst each of them embodies all three tropes to some degree, Cat is a fan favourite for her looks, making her The Beauty, Leah is the most prone to letting fly with her anger (much to the chagrin of her fellow Frauds), and Stephanie is full of nerdy facts and pedantry.
- Blonde, Brunette, Redhead / Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: Leah has near white-blonde, enormous fluffy hair; Cat has caramel-coloured neck-length hair; Stephanie has dark curls. Surprisingly, this wasn't a choice for their roles as the Ylvis guys; they simply have hair like that.
- Buffy Speak: All three, to varying degrees, can get a little overexcited with their words.
- Cast Full of Writers: Apart from what they borrow from Ylvis, The Frauds write all their own material.
- Cluster F-Bomb: All three of them tend to set each other off in the swearing stakes.
- Comic Trio: Cat is The Leader of the charismatic variety, often acting the most 'normal' and capable. Leah is The Fool, often providing surreal and bizarre humour, and Stephanie is often the Only Sane Man simply because she's pedantic enough to call the others out.
- Cross-Cast Role: All of the Frauds are young females, but they play three middle-aged Norwegian men, as well as other men.
- Freudian Trio: Even when she isn't parodying Calle, Leah is an example of the Id, having the more exaggerated and loud sense of humour, with the quieter, self-deprecating Stephanie playing the Superego and Cat remaining to play the balanced Ego.
- Plenty of Blondes: Two of the three Frauds are blonde, or at least towards the lighter-haired end of the spectrum.
Cat Stone/The Bård
Cat is the eldest of the three Frauds, playing The Bård in IKMF.
- Closet Geek: Normally she's the least geeky of the trio, but if you give Cat anything to do with maps, cartography or Sondre Lerche, she is likely to geek out for a few minutes.
- Cunning Linguist: Cat is a polyglot and speaks, amongst others, Norwegian and Italian.
- Dumb Blonde: Subverted. She's a university graduate, runs her own linguistics educational channel, is very musically talented and can speak several languages.
Leah Mills/The Calle
Leah is the youngest Fraud and plays the part of The Calle.
- Cute Little Fangs: And how.
- Deadpan Snarker: Occasionally so deadpan it can come across as deathly seriousness.
- Innocent Blue Eyes: The only ones in the group, in fact - they're a striking contrast to Cat's very dark brown and Steph's lighter brown.
- Mystical White Hair: Leah is definitely the closest the Frauds have to a Cloud Cuckoolander, if that counts.
- Wild Hair: One of Leah's most recognisable features is her enormous cloud of white hair.
Stephanie Downes/The Vegard
Stephanie is the middle Fraud, and plays The Vegard in IKMF.
- Brainy Brunette: She's definitely more towards the cerebral end of the spectrum.
- Cool Big Sister: She's a gamer and has three younger siblings - she often tries to pull this off, but has a tendency to try a bit too hard.
- Deadpan Snarker: For someone with the personality of a sugar-addled squirrel, she sure has a tendency to be viciously sarcastic when annoyed.
- Geeky Turn-On: Tends to get a bit... overexcited at displays of intelligence around her.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: Unfortunately prone to exploding at anything she deems righteously deserving.
- Heavy Sleeper: Stephanie can and will happily sleep through anything.
- Quirky Curls / Messy Hair: Whatever Steph's hair is doing, behaving is not it.
- Shameless Self-Promoter: Almost unable to not mention The Frauds at any given opportunity, often to famous Norwegian people.
- The Short Guy with Glasses: Almost a textbook example, as she is the smallest of the group and the only one to wear permanent corrective lenses.
The Magnus:
Jessie Orr/The Magnus # 1
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: After leaving due to creative differences, the character of The Magnus did not appear in the Merthyr Tydfil video. When the character returned, they were played by William Foster.
William Foster/The Magnus # 2
- Annoying Younger Sibling: William is Stephanie's younger brother in real life. He was actually quite helpful on the shoot. Other times, less so.
Other characters appearing in The Frauds' work:
Ce Ce the Superfan (played by Leah)
A superfan of the three girls, especially Catherine.
- Accidental Misnaming: Constantly refers to Leah (who plays her) as 'Liam'.
- I'm Your Biggest Fan: CeCe is a very big fan of the girls' work. No. Really.
- Shout-Out: To Mel of Flight of the Conchords.
- Stalker with a Crush: CeCe is highly implied to be madly in love with Catherine, and will often centre life choices - clothing, food, travel choices etc. - around what she believes Cat would choose herself, or would want her to choose.
- Take That! / Take That, Audience!: CeCe is a Flanderization of the traits of certain members of the Ylvis fandom specifically, where the girls originated, and fangirl culture at large - specifically the way fangirls are prone to dehumanise and idolise their heroes, whilst ignoring or belittling members of the same group.
Nevaeh Wittegenstein-Satre (played by Catherine)
An indie/arthouse director with a big portfolio and a bigger ego.
- Le Film Artistique: The use of gratuitous black and white, as well as the frankly insane subject matter, firmly pegs Nevaeh's films in this category.
- Prima Donna Director: Her work is intentionally a send-up of arthouse and surrealist movies; however, she views them as fine art, and can be awfully rude to anybody who criticises them or doesn't share her 'artistic vision'.
- Serious Business: Nevaeh watches The Great British Bake Off. Her take on Alaskagate is... intense.
