Also, many subversion ave vague enough that they may be aversions instead, and pets and animal were lumped int the Alien examples, is there a trope for that?
In short, we have enough cleaning up to do that it might be worth a rename. Any thoughts?
That's a start, thanks. What should be renamed? I noticed that you wrote in one of your ZCE removals that aversions of Infant Immortality are not noteworthy. Actually they are, now troped under Death of a Child.

I proposed the rename "Improbable Infant Immortality", which keeps Added Alliterative Appeal and clarifies the issue that led to misuse (where the lack of harm to children is inexplicable), while keeping it distinct from Wouldn't Hurt a Child and Only Fatal to Adults, which are justified by the narrative. Also contrast Harmful to Minors.
^ I like the proposed rename.
Recently removed a recently added aversion to Mass Effect: Andromeda. Misuse still remains. Can we get a rename up for a vote so we have an excuse to fully clean this up?
I like Improbable Infant Immortality as well. I'll go ahead an set up a new crowner if that option gets more consensus here first.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I've attached a rename crowner.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dick"Inexplicable Infant Immortality" is another possible name.
I'm going for Improbable (if only because it's slightly shorter).

Crowners need at least ten votes, it' at 12:0. I'd say we can call it.
Calling in favor of rename. If we haven't already, let's come up with some alternate names.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope Report"Improbable Infant Immortality" and "Inexplicable Infant Immortality" are two options, any other ideas for a rename?
Bumping a stalled thread.
Since we've unanimously agreed to a rename, can we put possible renames onto a crowner so we can move to the next stage?
I linked a crowner for you.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI don't like having "Immortality" in the name. Something like "Improbable Infant Survival" is more up front about the trope definition.
We lose out on Added Alliterative Appeal, but eh.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? Now that you mention it, agreed. "Immortality" still sort-of gives off the impression that the trope is an absolute rule, rather just than a common convention with many subversions. "Survival" works better.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"...though I hate to see the ol' triple A get shoved aside. Witty has always been my favourite part of the TVT Holy Trinity (my writing style leans heavily on snarky Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness, peppered with (often multilayered) puns and enough Reference Overdosed-ness to make a fandom salivate. Basically the same mischievous yet righteously outraged spirit that drove Oscar Wilde (or perhaps Marilyn Manson would be closer to the mark).

Also, added the new suggestion.
Bump for more votes. Improbable Infant Survival is leading so far.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Another bump. This crowner has been up for two months now, but only 7 people have voted on it.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Perhaps because of the wrong crowner date in the thread title.
Updated the date, hopefully it helps.
One final bump.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Looks safe to call.

What would be the best way to fix the page?
Anybody care to check wicks for aversion examples still pointing to Infant Immortality?
