The things are starting to get really hot....
After three months since the Battle of Derzon, Erma is already acclimated to her new post in Ekosiak, but even with that, she have to still deal with the odd looks of her new comrades, as they don't have much experience dealing with women in the army.

We see Erma chating with a sargeant who works with Col. Hitzok, the main man of the Ekosiaki Home Guard, in a restaurant. He tolds Erma that, despite Hitzok simpatizes with the separatists who want Ekosiak out of the EDF, his loyalty remains with the EDF and his people beforehand. The sergeant also warns Erma that there's no female bathrooms in the base, but Erma doesn't seem to care about that anyways. Later on, both Erma and the sargeant went when the flight simulators are used in the base, unaware that Col. Hitzok are spying them, just in case.

Meanwhile, in a distant region of the space, we see another new character, an Equine (horse) named Itzak Arrat, the captain of EDF destroyer DH270 and Erma's personal friend since childhood. He and his crew were sent to the Chishata solar system, after a mining colony stopped communication and the EDF was sent to check what us going out there. It turns out the mining colony was invaded by Lepines soldiers (very likely from the ILR) and after detecting the presence of Arrat's ship, the invaders quickly left the colony with their booty, but not without first massacring the rest of the members of the colony and rigging the colony with a nuke. After the ILR soldiers left the colony, it turns out two kids survived the massacre and they tried to request help to Arrat's ship, but before they could sent a complete distress signal, the nuke explodes, destroying the colony.

Arrat and his crew managed to receive part of the distress signal from the nuked colony, but they're attacked by the ILR ship via ACVs, managing to damage the DH270 and injuring and killing many members of its crew, including one member who was sliced by a piece of debris. The issue ends with Arrat and his crew reparing the ship, while going straight to the remaining colonies of the Chishata system.

Tropes:

  • Anyone Can Die: This issue shows that anyone can die in the Albedo universe, regardless of any other consideration.
  • Bloodier and Gorier: This is maybe one of the most bloodiest parts of the whole Erma Felna EDF saga, along with the color remake of the Battle of Derzon, as the death toll can be counted by hundreds of people,if we include the people who died in the first Chishata colony who was destroyed by the ILR and the people of the DH270 who died as well.
  • Death of a Child: The surviving kids who weren't killed by the ILR soldiers very likely died after their colony was nuked.
  • Gory Discretion Shot: This is the first scene, of many, when Gallacci simply avoid showing the aftermath of many particulary bloody events, even if he is very inconsistent regarding this. As an example, the whole massacre scene is not shown and we only know that the colonists were killed because we see an ILR soldier opening fire to them in a closed room, but we don't see the aftermath.
  • Leave No Survivors: The ILR massacred almost all the people of the first Chishata colony by gunfire, and the remaining ones were finished by a nuclear bomb attached to the colony.
  • Nuke 'em: The first Chishata colony was destroyed by a nuclear bomb attached to it as a way to prevent the EDF from finding out what happened there.
  • One of the Boys: Erma doesn't seem to mind having to use male facilities, including male bathrooms, despite being a woman.
