Darth Wiki / MSF High IRC

Go To

The webcomic MSF High had a now-defunct forum game, found here, which itself spawned several IRC channels with a separate continuity, where things often go in a completely different direction than on the forum itself.

This is the page for both the main IRC 'continuity' as well as for other IRC-based games such as the Legion RP.

(DISCLAIMER: Both the Forum RP and IRC channels of this article's origin are defunct. Either abandoned or lost by server failures and the exodus of several community members. The contents of this article should be considered non-canon to MSF High as a whole, and do not represent it or its current community, but out of respect will be left intact.)

Here's a list of characters from MSF High's IRC rooms.

In-Character (main RP)

    open/close all folders

    Ash's Harem

Jax / Ash Inaria

A nine-tailed kitsune shrine maiden with a Ranma-style gender curse.

Case Duo / Casey Devroe

Robot boy turned robot girl turned foxgirl. Was originally created by an Expy of Doctor Doom as a son/assistant but turned out, to his/her parents' annoyance, to be good.
  • Girliness Upgrade: Oddly enough, a example of character development. Casey's long embraced being female and has gained quite a bit of feminine mannerisms and hobbies. However, she still enjoys a good brawl, practices martial arts (and now incorporates magic into them) and still plans on overthrowing her creators. Violently.
  • Elegant Gothic Lolita: first forced on her by her closet. Now a preferred choice in clothing.
  • The Gunslinger: Other times she's this.
  • Happily Adopted: Considers Crystal her real mom.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: Has a pet calico kitten named Smidgen
  • Lethal Chef: Only thing she can cook properly is pasta.
  • Word of God: Casey has a M-R Node.
  • Younger Than They Look: Casey looks like she's 15. If you're going by her activation date she's five, or by the day Crystal transfers her mind into her new body, less than 6 months old.

Crystal

  • Truly Single Parent: Casey's body uses her DNA as a base with a few genes altered to resemble Casey

Daniel Bar-Mordechai / Danielle Bat-Terra

Once a shy and nerdy boy from a NationStates-inspired AltEarth who voluntarily joined the Legion not long after arriving at MSF High.
  • Gender Bender: As part of becoming a Legion, went from human male to Legion female.
  • Huge Schoolgirl: 5'10" and 15 years old.
  • Interspecies Romance: Legion female with....well, see other members of Ash's harem.
  • Technical Pacifist: Danielle, as a rule, doesn't believe in killing anyone if possible, and prefers to seek non-violent solutions to problems, but doesn't object to violent means if no other solutions are available.

    Conil's Poly
Also includes Demona, who has her own 'harem' below.

    Demona's Harem

Demona Incee

Veronica

  • Canon Immigrant : Originally was from a Scion game run by one of the players
  • Divine Parentage: Veronica's mom is Hathor
  • Love Goddess: Like Hilda, her mom is a love goddess, however she's reluctant to use her powers on other people and the one time she used her powers on herself it ended badly.

    Sephry's Hive

Sephry

Adela

  • Fainting: Though recently revoked, for the longest time just a mere kiss would send her close to blacking out.

Pneumonica (IC)

  • Mile-High Club: Subverted, she has dedicated classes to intercourse in winged flight.

All

    Other Characters

Delwyn Ap Gwynedd

Shy, androgynous divine.
  • Magic Music: His primary "combat" ability (singing), although so far used primarily for healing magic.
  • Shrinking Violet: Generally doesn't get along in crowds.
  • Token Lesbian: Inverted; he and Nath are almost the only gay males, while there are many gay/bisexual females.

Hilda

  • Amicable Exes: Danny and her broke up on good terms and basically are best friends.
  • No Social Skills: Was Banished to MSF in hopes of trying to make her have a life outside of training.

Karn

Kitsuna Tyakoto

  • Blind Without 'Em: Literally, her glasses are technological in nature and give her sight that she otherwise does not have.
  • Elemental Powers: She controls Air and Water.
  • Kitsune: Was born a Kitsune and is considered Ash's little sister.
  • Super-Deformed: Much cuter when she's in her modified Chibi form.
  • Voluntary Shape Shifting: Can shapeshift into anything she has previously seen. Form May Vary.

Matoi/Matsuri Nanashi Manatsu

Miko Westworth

  • Badass Normal: Uses mundane guns, hailing from a home planet that was filled with superheroes, supervillains, supernatural beings and other things that should by all means be immune to bullets. Didn't stop her, though.
  • More Dakka: She's looking to expand her arsenal constantly.

Niko Easton

  • Guns Akimbo: Wields two golden pistols. Noticing a theme here?
  • Heel–Face Turn: Originally Miko's rival and a villain, she decided to go good after Miko's disappearance.

Uratino

Wunder/Wunderless

  • Evil Laugh: Upon entry, Wunder always cues his evil laughter.
  • Mad Scientist: Wunder is your normal mad scientist! Making deadly devices by day, building robot servants by night!
  • Spiky Hair: Spiked and singed hair due to the effect of constant explosions on his face.
  • Split Personality: There are two personalities: Wunder, the mad yet social side; and Wunderless, the more sentimental and wimpy side.

Aurora and Jade

A pair of baby dragons who were hatched by Destiny, Casey and Co.

Empy

An alternate Version of Casey who became an Evil Overlord
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Empy and Casey have the same name so everyone calls her Empy (Short for Empress).
  • Power of Love: Only Reason she managed to arrive is that she was trying to "rescue" her girlfriend.
  • Powerful People Are Subs: Word of God in private, Evil Overlord Empy is definitely the bottom in her and Bru's relationship.
  • Precious Puppy: Is currently a martial corgi. According to her player, the only reason she didn't make Empy a poodle is that they think Corgis are cuter, plus too obvious.
  • Spoiled Brat/ Royal Brat: One of the primary differences between Casey and Empy is Empy's creators treated her like a spoiled princess instead of a tool for conquest due to having waited too long to have actual children.

     The Ponies

Most of the players are bronies and pegasisters, so they eventually made their own Original Characters. Rather than try to fit them into Equestria they created their own Nation called Epona

Notes for All of Epona

  • Adaptational Badass: The Windgos were already a massive threat to ponies in canon, but didn't do much besides freeze ponies that had too much hate. Here? They basically are Icy Creatures of Grimm.
  • Armies Are Evil: Averted. Epona's military is very strict and cracks down on corruption with in it. Of course those caught usually end up with a giant burning spear through them.
  • Badass Family: The Royal Family One parent is the head of one of the two most powerful nations on the planet, the other is in charge of it's military. Their Daughter is slowly growing into a badass in her own right.
  • Fantasy Counterpart Culture: Epona is a odd Mixture of Norse and Egyptian mythos in direct opposition to the Greek elements of Equestria
    • Dawn's homeland is basically Mythical Ireland
  • Language Barrier: Epona's language differs from Equestria's the point Gearshift has to use a device for everyone to speak to Equestrian ponies.
  • Magitek: Epona uses a mixture of Science and Magic resulting in more modern aesthetics.
  • Oh, My Gods!: Oh My Flattone, Nibelung and Most Recently Dawn is used
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something" Flattone is a Idol Singer, Nibelung takes care of the Military and Dawn is in charge of restoring her part of her kingdom.
  • Snow Means Death: The Eponians see winter as the time the Windigos are at their strongest (But necessary to keep weather patterns). Combined with the fact Not having Snowflakes, the only Pleasant point of Winter is Yuletide, which is a rather recent thing compared the nation

Dawn Blast

Crown Princess of Epona. Adopted by Flattone and Nibelung Became a Alicorn
  • Fangirl: Is President of the Princess Cadence Fan club
  • Happily Adopted: Considers the moment that Nibelung killed her birth parents and found her and took her home as the point her life got better. Needless to say she absolutely adores both her mothers.

Dusk Blast

Knight of Dawn and her fiance
  • Bully Hunter: Do not bully somepony in front of Dusk, especially not a filly
  • Kids Are Cruel: Was bullied by other fillies as a filly because of her batwings
  • Non-Standard Character Design: While Dusk is a Pegasus, she has a pair of batwings instead of normal feathered wings
  • Took a Level in Badass: went from being a crybaby who constantly was bullied by other foals, to a full on knight of the realm.

Flattone

Co ruler of Epona, Flattone covers most of the politics, governing and social issues in Epona

Gearshift

Childhood Friend of Dawn and Dusks. Resident Mad Scientist. Pegasi.

  • Aliens Steal Cable: Built a Device to steal tv signals untraceablily...it ended up stealing broadcasts from Earth.
  • Berserk Button: The Bureau due to their Anti-Science Bent and desire to commit Genocide while calling it Harmony. The fact that universe's Twilight is in on it pisses her off because she sees her a perversion of Princess Twilight, whom Gearshift respects as a fellow intellectual.

Supreme Commander Nibelung

Leader of Epona's military forces. One of Dawn's Mothers and married to Flattone

  • A Father to His Men: A Mother To Her Little Ponies
  • Ascended to Carnivorism: Well when you were raised by Griffons...though Nibelung outright refuses to eat sentients.
  • Berserk Button: The Epona equilivent of the The '60s. Ponies constantly were accusing her of being The Mare.
  • Blood Knight: Subverted, while War is Her Domain, she isn't particularly bothered by peace. In her own words, permanent World Peace is basically her getting to retire and spend more time with the wife and daughter.
  • The Captain: The only reason she's not a queen is she lost the coin toss. Not that she minds
  • Fiery Redhead: Literally. Keeps her hair in non ethereal form so it doesn't burn everything it touches.
  • Godzilla Threshold: Any Sitiuation that requires her getting Face Ripper is a Bad Day for All Involved.

Sugar Heart

  • Stalker with a Crush: Was this until she actually spoke with Dawn
  • Stalking is Love: Whole heartedly believes this, though she's on the stalking end. Dawn has tried teaching her otherwise, however she misinterprets it as not being discreet enough.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Sugar heart is a unicorn, but had her horn broken off by Dusk.

Buckshot

  • Badass Normal: He's just a Earth Pony Stallion who's a Really good shot.
  • The One Guy : of the Eponian born ponies, he's the only male shown (Gearshift Mentioned she has a older and a younger brother) so far.

In-Character (Legion RP)

    Protagonists - Non-Legion

Niko Easton

Same as the above Niko.
  • Guns Akimbo: Wields two golden pistols. Noticing a theme here?
  • Heel–Face Turn: Originally Miko's rival and a villain, she decided to go good after Miko's disappearance.

    Antagonists

Liruru Von Astaroth

  • All There in the Manual: She is the star, and theoretical protagonist, of Mitchell's novel. Which ends with her in the position the PCs find her in the game.
  • Spell My Name With An S: "Astaroth" is surprisingly hard to spell. Also, her last name is a Engrish version of "Lilith."

Tropes:

  • Action Girl: Sephry, Legionified Berlioz, and Ash (when female).
  • Alternate Continuity: Certain notable examples: Jax (now known as Ash) has the memory of his old life back, Robin is a Legion, Karn is actually a nice guy, and don't get us started on Demona...
  • Artifact Title: The group mostly has moved to Skype and Discord at this point.
  • Bee Afraid: Whether or not this is true for Sephry depends on the character.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Very frequent on the main 'dormlounge' room, due to the mixture of In Character and Out of Character discussion.
    • No Fourth Wall: Sometimes seems that way, with conversation, hugs, and even a few characters travelling back and forth.
      • This even lead to a question on, if Legion need nanites to survive, and nanites are magic...how can Emily hop across the fourth wall!
  • Convicted by Public Opinion: Sephry was convicted by two people of turning Sventnya into brainwashed beegirl, even though there was no hard evidence to prove it. By the time these characters spread the word they had an entire group after her.
  • Cuddle Bug: Almost everyone is. Seriously there have been borderline cuddle orgies.
  • Divine Parentage: Ash, Hilda, and Veronica. Their mothers are Inari, Freya, and Hathor; from Japanese Mythology, Norse Mythology and Egyptian Mythology respectively.
  • Emergency Transformation: Many times this has been necessary to save one or multiple characters from the brink of death.
  • Even the Guys Want Him: Several characters including Ash, Demona, and Conil. They tend to accumulate harems.
  • Gender Bender: Happens all the time. In particular, Ash is affected by a variant of Ranma's curse: Ash becomes a man when splashed with cold water, a woman when splashed with hot water, and a Hermaphrodite when splashed with lukewarm water.
  • The Glomp: Standard way of greeting people in IRC. Often whether they like it or not.
  • Happily Adopted: Casey ended up being adopted by Crystal. Which resulted in...
    • Humanity Ensues: Crystal made a organic body for Casey and transferred her mind into after fears of Casey's old folks preprograming her towards evil
    • Truly Single Parent: Crystal's DNA was used a base to make, with some modifications to make the new body resemble a human Casey.
  • Hive Queen: Legion Queens (including Emily, Ilushia, and Malice), Sephry.
  • Interspecies Romance: Happens in large amounts.
  • Literal Surveillance Bug: During the time when Sephry was outlawed she constantly spied on the rest on the other characters in an bee sized form.
  • Overly Long Name: The Reason why Casey is never allowed to name children.
  • Massive Numbered Siblings: Gearshift is the middle of Five kids
  • Polyamory: Ash is now engaged to marry his/her harem.
  • Powered by a Forsaken Child: Casey's power Core was literally is made from souls of 70+ people. Crystal dealt with it. See Humanity Ensues
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Casey plans on leading a rebellion to conquer her parent's kingdom and instill herself as benevolent ruler. Similiarly for Dawn Blast is getting reading to become a Queen and officially leads her region's recovery and development department..
  • Running Gag: The Yuri-Meter Exploding
  • Second Law of Gender-Bending: More often then not, when a male character gets turned female they will not turn back, even when the opportunity is always present.
  • Technical Pacifist: Danielle is one of these.
  • Where the Hell Is Springfield?: Halbvania/Inaria is stated to be located in the Balkans. Eventually it was revealed it is what to be where real-life Montenergro is supposed to be, after conquering most of the Balkans.
  • Worldbuilding: Casey's player is fond of doing this for Epona
