Original

    The Rabbit

The Rabbit

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/conejodlh.jpg
The Rabbit!

The god of the series as a whole. Originally a normal rabbit, after being orphaned he was adopted by a racoon god, who gave him the power to directly manipulate the fabric of space-time, rewrite history, travel through time and cross between dimensions. He uses this power to help people.

  • All-Powerful Bystander: Dowplayed. While he tries to use his powers to help others, he's still a small rabbit and there isn't much he can do.
  • Ascended to a Higher Plane of Existence: A normal rabbit who became an omnipotent god.
  • Been There, Shaped History:
    • Helps Rapunzel and the Prince reunite after she was exiled from the tower and he became blind.

    • He's also the white rabbit who guided Alice in Wonderland.
  • Big Good: The most powerful known being in the universe (second if you count Zeus or Odin) and dedicated to spreading and preserving sentient life.
  • Canine Companion: He's always seen with Dog. His Image Song reveals he belonged to the Seven Dwarv-eh....Bogatyrs, until he ate the poisoned apple to explain them what happened to Snow White. To honor his sacrifice, The Rabbit brought him to life as his companion.
  • Cassandra Truth:
    • Tries to warn Talia's father that his daughter is still alive, but it goes on deaf ears.
    • Attempts to stop Bluebard's latest wife to not enter his locked room, to no avail.
    • Tried to help the Romanov family escape from their imminent death, but he wasn't fast enough.
  • Cosmic Entity: Lives within/beyond the normal bounds of space-time.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Tries to warn Bluebard's wife to not enter his locked room. She kicks him in the face and enters the room anyway. After Bluebard arrives, the angry rabbit decides to let her die out of spite.
  • Killer Rabbit: A cute little rabbit with the power to tear grown men to shreds.
  • Mysterious Backer: He tries to help the heroes, but he is either too roundabout in his methods to really gain their trust or something else saves the heroes anyway.
  • Passing the Torch: The Raccoon was the original protector of the universe until he adopted Rabbit and passed his role and knowledge to him. He eventually passes the torch to Dog.
  • Pet the Dog: Keeps Stingy Jack company, so that he wouldn't be so lonely in his eternal life.
  • Reality Warper: He can pretty much do anything.
  • Stop Worshipping Me: His Image Song show that there are some cults based around him. He's rather uncomfortable by it, preferring to hang out with the people he's supposed to protect.

The Greek Pantheon

    Zeus

Zeus, god of thunder

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/44942204_800_800.jpg
...It's Zeus!

The god of thunder and leader of the Greek Gods. Known for rebelling against Cronus and his womanizing attitude.

  • Adaptational Jerkass: In the original Greek myth, Zeus's intervention in the fatal fight between Pallas and Athena was to protect his daughter. Here is because he doesn't want her to lose against a mere nymph.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Has blue skin and glowing blue hair.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: After defeating Cronus, he takes charge of Olympus.
  • Became Their Own Antithesis: He killed his father who had eaten his siblings. However, Athena's Image Song shows him eating Metis because he was afraid of the newborn Athena's strength.
  • Big Brother Instinct: He saves all his siblings from being Cronos' prisoners. Later, he helps Hades get a wife.
  • Brother–Sister Incest: With Hera, his sister, whom he tricks into marrying.
  • Catchphrase: "...It's Zeus!"
  • Depraved Bisexual: His encounters with male lovers like Ganymede are addressed. They're also not any more romantic than anything else this take on Zeus does.
  • Hypocrite: Calls out Hades kidnapping for Persephone, despite him having a large history of kidnapping women himself. To make things worse, he calls him a "pervert" for showing interest in the much younger Persephone, when he's stated to had relationships with his descendants.
  • Image Song: "Zeus", an arrange of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up".
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Sure, he's a womanizer that has left countless women and bastards vulnerable, not to mention broke Hera's heart many times, but he's also shown to be a caring brother towards his siblings and overall doesn't seem to treat the human greeks with any tyranny or malevolence.
  • Karma Houdini: As the leader of the Greek Gods and the highest-rank in all the land, Zeus receives no punishment for anything he does, giving him a free pass to be as heartless asshole as he wants.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: While he often gets away with his actions, karma often bits him in the ass.
    • In Hera's Image Song, after Hercules dies thanks to her indirect actions and ascends to Olympus, she lets him stay and marry her daughter....but not before beating the shit out of Zeus.
    • It was his idea for Hades to kidnap Persephone. This results in Demeter causing droughts out of spite and people dying, resulting in Zeus not getting enough prayers.
    • Ate Metis because he was afraid of baby Athena's strength. Athena is born inside Zeus and he's subjected to a painful experience as she bursts out of his skull.
  • The Leader: Of the Greek pantheon.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: His womanizing attitude is mostly played for laughs.
  • Shout-Out: His design with his long, flowy hair seems to recall that of a Saiyan.
  • Smug Super: He's the leader of the Greek Gods and he's definitely let that power go to his head.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Zeus looks almost identical to his father Cronus, the only actual differences being their skin tone.
  • True Companions: With Poseidon, as they have similar personalities.
  • Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: Is portrayed with yellow eyes to highlight how evil he is, as well as a visual indicator when he's shapeshifting.

    Poseidon

Poseidon, King of the Seas

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/a5dff8bf04c36901e525da27479fd353.png
Come on Jason let's go party

King of the seas, and has terrible temper. Probably even worse of a womanizer than Zeus.

    Hades

Hades, God of the Underworld

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hadesjpg.jpg

Lord of the Underworld, and husband to Persephone. For the most part, the level-headed brother compared to Zeus and Poseidon.

  • Abduction Is Love: Downplayed. While he did kidnap Persephone, he proves to be a caring husband and Persephone seems to reciprocate his feelings.
  • All-Powerful Bystander: He doesn't interfere in mortal affairs. His song states that he thinks very little of humans.
  • Aloof Big Brother: He's the oldest of the Greek Gods and he's certainly aloof.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Has sickly green skin.
  • Cool Helmet: Wears a helm that allows him to become invisible.
  • Happily Married: To Persephone.
  • Hikikomori: It's stated he doesn't like leaving the Underworld because it's full of cool things....and free wifi.
He can control everything in his realm. It's a cool place so he doesn't go out. He's got a black car, he's got a super dog, he's got his own river and a Greek boatman.
  • Hypocritical Heartwarming: In Freyja's song, he comes to see Demeter at the concert....only to tell her to don't go back to Greece (as he wants more time with Persephone). However, he still went all the way from Greece while Persephone didn't even bother to visit her mother.
  • Image Song: "Hades", an arrange of Imagine Dragons's "Believer".
  • Not So Above It All: Sure, he's more levelheaded compared to Zeus and Poseidon, but he still looks down on humans and treats the souls of the Underworld like playthings.
  • Sickeningly Sweethearts: In Hades's song, Demeter is dismayed upon finding out that even though Persephone came back, she still has to return to Hades every winter. She tries to blackmail her daughter saying that she'll be lonely in her absence and she wont' make plants grow until she comes back, but Persephone is too busy making out with Hades to care.
  • Stalker with a Crush: He used to watch Persephone from afar until Zeus allowed him to kidnap her.

    Demeter

Demeter, Goddess of the Harvest

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/artworks_dtlwd4ipfg8q_0_t500x500.jpg
...My daughter!

Goddess of the harvest and mother to Persephone. After she's taken by Hades, Demeter stops taken care of the crops which leads the world into famine and an eternal winter.

  • Adaptational Nice Guy: The Demeter of the original Greek myth had casual affairs with Zeus and Poseidon. Here she was assaulted against her will.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Has green skin.
  • Amazonian Beauty: She's very muscular, wears sports clothing and has boyish short hair. Zeus and Poseidon still find her attractive though.
  • Blackmail Backfire: In Hades's song, Demeter tries to blackmail her daughter that if she goes to see Hades every winter, she wont' make plants grow until she comes back. Persephone couldn't care less.
Demeter: MY DAUGHTER! By the way, did you ate anything Hades gave you before leaving the Underworld?
Persephone: Yeah mom, some pomegranate seeds.
Demeter: No, you MORON! Now you'll have to stay with him every winter and I'll be very sad and won't make plants grow!
    Persephone: Whatever.
  • Blatant Lies: When Persephone is brought back to her mother and Hades gives her the condition that she must come back to Hell ever winter, Demeter claims she gracefully accepted his conditions. Hades's song shows her making a tantrum at the thought of being separated from Persephone again and creating the four seasons, which is actually what happened in the actual Greek myth.
(In Demeter's song) Give my baby back....Give her back and I'll put an end to this.
(In Hades's song) GIVE MY DAUGHTER BACK OR NO MORE PLANTS ON EARTH FOR YOU!
  • Butt-Monkey: Nothing goes well for her in her song. She doesn't get anything in return after helping defeat Cronus, Zeus kills her boyfriend and rapes her, Hades kidnaps her daughter, is raped by Poseidon, her plans to turn Demophon into a god fail and deep down Persephone finds her annoying.
  • Catchphrase: MY DAUGHTER!
  • Divine Date: She was in love with her nephew Iasion, until Zeus killed him with a thunderbolt because he wanted to get in her pants.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: Expresses annoyance that Zeus, Poseidon and Hades distributed the Olympus, Sea and Underworld after defeating Cronus, but didn't give her (or Hestia and Hera) anything.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: She's reunited with Persephone, begrudgingly accepting Hades as her son-in-law. She also teaches Triplotemus agriculture, resulting in him spreading it around Greece and making festivals in her honor, giving her the respect she always wanted. And she becomes friends with the Norse Gods, hanging out with them during winter season.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Thinks of Persephone as a sweet and dutiful daughter that is forced to stay with Hades every winter. In truth Persephone finds her mother's overprotectiveness annoying and willingly stays with Hades.
  • Mama Bear: Very protective of Persephone.
  • My Beloved Smother: What Persephone actually thinks of her.
  • Obnoxious In-Laws: Hades isn't fond of her for meddling into his relationship with Persephone.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Transforms into a mare to escape from a horny Poseidon. He simply transforms into a stallion and rapes her.

    Hestia

Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth and Home

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ab67616d0000b273f132761319abd92ce743eba6.jpeg
...She has great hair!

Goddess of the hearth and home, reimagined as a geek girl. Has no interest in romantic relationships and Zeus respected her wishes. Spends most of her time playing videogames and dancing.

  • Adaptational Badass: Unlike myth Hestia, who was more passive and avoided conflict, she'll resort to violence if necessary. For example, in the original myth, Hestia was saved by her fellow gods from Priapus's rape attempt. Here she kicks his ass on her own.
  • Adaptational Jerkass: The Hestia of the original myth was friendly to all the Greek gods. While this Hestia is still nice and friendly, she doesn't like Aphrodite and loves slut-shaming her.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Has orange skin and flaming red hair.
  • Berserk Button: Don't pick on the weak and defenseless.
  • Big Little Sister: She's the oldest of the main Greek Gods and yet she acts like an excitable teenager. This is due to the discrepancies of historians not deciding if Hestia was the oldest or the youngest of the main Greek Gods.
  • Bully Hunter: She often goes out of her way to defend those getting picked on. Such as protecting Silvia from Amulius after the former was raped by Ares and was in the verge of execution.
...And she'll kick your ass for the sake of peace.
  • Chaste Hero: Hestia's not interested in relationships, preferring to hang out with her fellow goddesses (except Aphrodite), gossipping with Hermes or playing videogames.
  • Cool Aunt: Hermes sees her as such, often visiting her to gossip about what humans or their fellow gods are doing.
  • Image Song: "Hestia", an arrange of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun".
  • Fiery Redhead: Hestia has red, voluminous hair; and she's very passionate and fun.
  • Genki Girl: Very cute and energetic.
  • Token Good Teammate: One of the few members of the Greek pantheon, who's actually a good person. She never abuses humans and actually treats them with a decent level of respect.
  • True Companions: With her best friends, Artemis and Athena.

    Hera

Hera, Goddess of Marriage and Space

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/50345487_500_500.jpg
Everytime Zeus cheated, Hera took revenge

Goddess of women, marriage and space. While she is married to Zeus, that doesn't stop him from fooling around. To retaliate, she punishes all of his lovers.

  • Abusive Parents: She yeets Hephaestus from Olympus out of disgust that he was born ugly, giving him a permanent limp.
  • Action Girl: Participated in the war against her father alongside her siblings and got into a fist fight against fellow Action Girl, Artemis, in the Trojan war. Hera won.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Has red skin.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Even though Zeus cheats on her all the time, she would never dare to do the same.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: She hates seeing happy couples, because they remind her of her troubled marriage with Zeus.
She hates infidelity. She hates your happiness.
  • Image Song: "Hera", an arrange of ABBA's "Gimme Gimme".
  • Jerkass: Is notably callous.
  • Misplaced Retribution: Due to Zeus being the highest rank of the Greek Gods, she can't do anything to stop his philandering ways, so she just settles in punishing his lovers and bastard children. There are times in which she'll conspire against him though.
  • Murder the Hypotenuse: To say she did this indirectly to most of Zeus's lovers is an understatement.
  • Pet the Dog: She doesn't think much of humans, but is stated to have a genuine fondness for Jason, even considering him a friend.
  • Sadist: Takes enjoyment from watching others suffer.
  • Tsundere: In Zeus's song, she rejects his advances until he tricks her into marrying him. However her Image Song states that she always loved him, she was just playing hard to get.
  • Vengeance Feels Empty: It's implied that indirectly killing Heracles after all the suffering he made him go through didn't give Hera the closure she wanted. So she just settles in letting his soul stay in Olympus and marry one of her daughters. She finally does feel better after beating the shit out of Zeus.
  • Wicked Stepmother: To Heracles.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Starts chewing out Ares after his affair with Aphrodite is exposed.

    Heracles

Hercules/Heracles, Son of Zeus

Demigod, son of Zeus and Alcmene. Has a rivalry with Hera.

    Ares

Ares, God of War

  • All of the Other Reindeer: He's treated as a walking terror by the Greek humans and his fellow gods don't seem to like him much. It's hinted Aphrodite, Eris and the Romans are the few ones he can be at ease.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Has red skin, like his mother.
  • Butt-Monkey: While not as bad as Demeter's, things never go well for him in his own song.
  • Freudian Excuse: It's hinted he's not very open with his feelings due to Zeus neglecting him as a child.
  • Fiery Redhead: Has dark red hair and is a natural hothead.
  • Kick the Dog: When he rapes Silvia, the mother of Romulus and Remus.
  • Image Song: "Ares", an arrange of Imagine Dragons's "Warriors".
  • Like Father, Unlike Son: Zeus is a boisterous philanderer who is very much loved by his people and an absent father. In contrast Ares is quiet, stoic, treated as a walking terror by his people (not counting the Romans) and a devoted father to his kids.
  • Murder the Hypotenuse: He conspires with Apollo to kill Adonis, due to Aphrodite's interest in the boy.
  • Never Accepted in His Hometown: The Greeks feared him for being the God of War, but he was beloved by the Romans, even making him an important part of their lore.
  • Papa Wolf: After Alcippe was raped by Halirrhothius he wastes no time in giving him a brutal, gory death.
  • Parent-Child Team: It's stated he takes his children to fight alongside him, such as Phobos and Deimos.
  • Pet the Dog: While he's as impulsive and petty as most of the Greek Gods, he geuinely cares about Aphrodite. After their affair is exposed and Hephaestus traps them in a net for everyone to see, he's more concerned about her than his own dignity.
  • The Stoic: Never visibly loses his temper (see Freudian Excuse) and when he does, his level of focus simply changes to 'lethal'.
  • Tranquil Fury: His default emotion. No matter how much pissed he is, he's chillingly stoic and icy, while also making sure that his enemies meet a gruesome end. That said, however this is thoroughly averted when his daughter is raped by Halirrhotius, causing Ares to be completely consumed by Unstoppable Rage.
  • True Companions: With Eris, the goddess of discord. She sticks by his side through thick and thin.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: As a toddler he's shown crying as he realizes Zeus would rather spend time with his numerous lovers rather than him.

    Aphrodite

Aphrodite, Goddess of Love and Beauty

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/400x400cc.jpg

  • Alpha Bitch: She's beautiful and popular, but also catty, shallow and vindictive.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Has pink skin.
  • Born as an Adult: Unlike most of the Greek Gods, she's born as a full-grown adult. Probably because of the circusmtances of her birth.
  • The Burlesque of Venus: Does a perfect impression of The Birth of Venus when she's born.
  • Death Seeker: Enters into a heavy depression after Adonis dies, even trying to commit suicide by throwing herself from a cliff. Thankfully she gets over it.
  • Everyone Loves Blondes: She's blond, and gorgeous enough to stop traffic. Almost everyone spends their time in her presence Eating the Eye Candy.
  • Hikaru Genji Plan: Tried this with Adonis, falling in love with him when he was a baby and raising him to become her lover. It ended up badly thanks to Apollo and Ares's machinations.
  • Image Song: "Aphrodite", an arrange of Spice Girls's "Wannabe".
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Hestia, Athena and Artemis dislike her because of her promiscuity and slut-shame her all the time.
  • Mama Bear: Protects her son Aeneas from Diomedes during the Trojan War, even getting injured in the process.
  • Oh, Crap!: When she realizes getting the golden apple resulted in the Trojan War.
  • Sleeps with Everyone but You: Her relationship with Hephaestus, who she is disgusted by.
  • Slut-Shaming: Is subjected to this by Hestia, Athena and Artemis. She doesn't seem to care though, even flipping them the finger.
  • Unreliable Narrator: Ares's Image Song implies Aphrodite was humilliated after their Bedroom Adultery Scene with Hephaestus. Then Aphrodite's song shows she was actually glad about being single again.
  • Villainous Mother-Son Duo: With her son Eros. He joyfully joins her schemes anytime.
  • World's Most Beautiful Woman: Of the Greek pantheon.

    Hermes

Hermes, Messenger of the Gods, Patron God of Shepherds, Merchants and Thieves

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/maxresdefault_2_22.jpg
Hermes, yes! Hermes, dance!

The messenger of the gods, known for his speed, trickster nature and love of adventure. He's very talkative and hyperactive, and likes to rush thoughtlessly around the place.

  • Cool Helmet: He is often depicted with a winged helmet.
  • Enfante Terrible: Played for laughs, but days after he was born he wandered off his cradle to steal cattle, eat them and kill a turtle to make a lyre for Apollo.
  • Friend to All Children: Was the one who raised Dionysus, and took Persephone from the Underworld and back. His song states he likes to take care of others.
  • Image Song: "Hermes", an arrange of Initial D's "Running in the 90s".
  • Keet: Very enthusiastic and full of optimism.
  • Super-Speed: Depicted throughout the entire video running really fast ("He needs no chariot because he already runs like lightning").
  • The Reliable One: Always there to help his fellow gods and humans.
  • True Companions: With Dionysus. Justified, as Hermes knew him since he was a baby.
  • The Worf Effect: Despite being famous for his Super-Speed, he loses to Apollo in a race.

    Artemis

Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt.

The goddess of the hunt, twin sister of Apollo. Roams the forests with her friends and harshly punishes those who slight her.

    Athena

Athena, Goddess of Wisdom

  • Accidental Murder: Athena and Pallas were friends and sparring partners, but one time they were in a friendly duel. Zeus intervened because he didn't want his daughter to lose to "a mere nymph", resulting in Athena accidentally stabbing Pallas. She was clearly devastated by this.
  • Adaptational Heroism: In classical myth, Athena was just as cruel and petty as the other Greek Gods. Here, she as the protector of humanity and Medusa's affair with Poseidon is treated as something consensual. Also her fight with Pallas was a friendly duel rather than the result of an argument gone wrong.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Has blue skin, like her father.
  • Born as an Adult: Played with. Here she's born as a little girl but grows to a full adult after absorbing the power of wisdom from her mother.
  • Childhood Friend: Pallas, whom Athena befriended after moving with Triton.
  • Daddy's Girl: Subverted. Zeus adores her and treats her as her favorite. But she treats him as an annoyance, due to him eating her mother and being indirectly responsible for Pallas's death.
  • Happily Adopted: Since she wanted nothing to do with her father, she moved to live with Triton.
  • True Companions: With her best friends, Hestia and Artemis.
  • Shout-Out: Wears Saori Kido's dress when she meets Heracles.

Chinese Mythology

    Sun Wukong
The Monkey King of Journey to the West
  • Complete Immortality: Sun Wukong becomes this after ensuring his immortality several times by training to become immortal, crossing his name from the death book, eating all the immortality peaches, and drinking the wine that ensured immortality, becoming megaimmortal.
  • Immortality Immorality: A completely immortal monkey who had caused serious havoc on the kingdom of heaven for his own pleasure.
  • Immortality Seeker: He tries and succeeds in ensuring and expanding his immortality.
  • Living Forever Is Awesome: This is how Sun Wukong feels about being immortal.
  • Maniac Monkeys: In his "kingdom of terror" his head grows bigger with his Evil Laugh while a Leomon looks at him with worry.
  • Oh, Crap!: Sun Wukon watch in horror when he realizes that he never escaped the Buddha's hand by seeing the pee and graffiti he did at the end of the universe next to him.
  • Rage Against the Heavens: He goes on a war against the heaven kingdom when they get tired of his troublematic behavior, and desires to usurp the Jade emperor.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: The monkey uses this power to sneak into a heaven party as another god and drink all the immortal wine for himself.

The Norse Pantheon

    Odin

Odin, god of Wisdom

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/odin_dlh.jpg
The god of wisdom and the leader of the Norse Gods. He's a trickster god who's always interested where magic knowledge is concerned and will proactively go and try to acquire it.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: Myth Odin is as lecherous as Zeus, but to avoid comparisons he was retconned into a magic-loving nerd.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: After defeating Ymir, he takes charge of Midgard.
  • Badass Bookworm: Very intelligent and a master of rune magic.
  • Cool Horse: The eight-legged steed Slepnir.
  • Determinator: He wants to learn all types of magic and he's not above travelling to other universes, stalking people or ripping his own eye to obtain them.
  • Failed a Spot Check: When making everyone promise not to kill Baldur, he shrugs off the mistletoe as he thinks it's too insignificant to cause any harm. Five minutes later and Baldur drops dead thanks to a mistletoe-covered arrow.
  • Handicapped Badass: Gouged one of his eyes in exchange for wisdom and still kicks ass.
  • Hot Skitty-on-Wailord Action: What happens after he has sex with a giant goddess, who's a fusion of nine sea god's daughters.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": His real name is Wotan; Odin was basically a nickname he started using for his "wizard persona".
  • The Gadfly: Likes to trick people and not even his own kids are safe from his pranks.
  • Genius Bruiser: Being both a warrior god and a trickster, and a god of wisdom.
  • Gag Nose: Has a long, pointy nose.
  • The Leader: Of the Norse pantheon.
  • Nerves of Steel: He's utterly fearless.
    • Ripped off his own eye without flinching in order to drink from the Well of Knowledge.
    • Even as Fenrir charged against him with the intent of eating him alive, he didn't dismount even if it costed him his life.
  • Not So Above It All: Has a sheet of his "wizard persona", even adding stats, class and power level. Which is also how he came up with the name Odin.
  • Papa Wolf: He tries to avoid the death of his son Baldur by forcing everything to swear to not harm him (except the milestone). When this fails, he immediately punishes Loki by killing his son and forcing him to a rock with a snake spitting venom on his son's murderer.
  • Together in Death / No Animosity in the Afterlife: The last part of his song shows him in the afterlife with Loki and Thor.
  • Reality Warper: He can pretty much do anything.
  • Stalker without a Crush: Stalked Freyja, Dr. Strange, Gandalf and Harry Potter to master the magic of their respective universes.

    Thor

Thor, god of Thunder

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thor_hd_thumbnail.jpg

The god of thunder and son of Odin. Has a large temper and wields a magic hammer.

    Loki

Loki, God of Lies

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/loki_destripando_la_historia.png

The trickster god, and occasional ally of Thor.

  • Adaptational Villainy: Loki kills Baldur in his Image Song out of sheer petty jealosy. In the original myths Loki did this after Odin, trying to prevent Ragnarok, sealed and mistreated Loki's sons and then rejected Loki's plea for clemency, making his killing of Baldur more like a desire of revenge after the Aesir because of the mistreatment of his children. Although even in the original myth he wasn't above pettiness.
  • Affably Evil: He's a friendly and laidback guy, but it conceals the arrogance of a lying schemer.
  • Body Horror: Heimdall's Image Song shows his torso completely rotted from being centuries affected by the giant snake's poison.
  • Child by Rape: Sleipnir is this for him, the result of Loki failing to outrun the stallion Svadilfari.
  • Cloud Cuckoolanders Minder: Tries to be this to Thor....when he's not messing with him, that is.
  • Comic-Book Fantasy Casting: Come on, it's basically a doodled-up Tom Hiddleston.
  • Commonality Connection: Fanworks made him befriend Demeter because they don't get enough respect from their peers and they were molested by horses. Freyja's song makes this canon, with her hanging out with Loki and the Norse gods during winter season.
  • Dark Is Evil: The Odin and Baldur songs have a tendency to put him in dark locations or backgrounds when he's doing something particularly evil and even his own song has the scene darken to an angry red when it's about to describe his asassination of Baldur. Baldur's song even has him use Casting a Shadow Super Smoke powers to shapeshift or move around quickly. Contrast this with the brightly lit enviroments when he's being more benevolent or mischievous.
  • Funny Background Event: The 2019 remake of Thor's song shows him doing random things in the background to annoy people.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Although he's a scammer and prankster, he helps his fellow gods when they're in trouble, such as creating Thor's hammer.
  • Evil Is Petty: You honestly can’t get any pettier than trying to kill your nephew simply because he’s more beloved than you.
  • The Gadfly: He's the god of mischief after all. He's also a habitual liar and a scammer.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Why did he arranged the events which resulted in Baldur's death? Because Baldur was more loved than him.
  • How the Mighty Have Fallen: Odin's song shows him happily enjoying a party with his fellow gods in Asgard....only for his face to cut back to the present, breaking free from his prison and letting a Skyward Scream before he starts the Ragnarok and thus The End of the World as We Know It.
  • Image Song: "Loki", an arrange of blink-182's "First Date".
  • Irrational Hatred: He has no real reason to hate Baldur other than simply believing he was "too beloved".
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Drops the trickster attitude after being chained to a rock for years with the entrails of his son (that he was forced to watch die, no less!) and poisoned by a giant snake. After freeing himself, he goes into a mindless killing rage and starts Ragnarok.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: All his pranks end up backfiring on him badly.
    • Thyrm tries to blackmail the Norse Gods to marry Freyja and in exchange he'll create a giant wall. When Freyja is about to refuse, Loki provokes him resulting in Thyrm sending a stallion to work on the wall. Loki is forced to transform into a Ponyta to distract the stallion, resulting in him getting pregnant and giving birth to eight-legged steed Sleipnir.
    • Tricks Hoor into shooting Baldur. He gets chained and tortured for years for his trouble.
    • Steals Freyja's necklace. Heimdall transforms into a seal and beats the shit out of him.
  • Narcissist: He is incredibly self-centered as well as having a very fragile ego. He literally cannot stand the idea of someone being better than him at anything, even if it's just in his mind.
  • This Is Gonna Suck:
    • When Svadilfari is about to have his way with him. Granted, he brought it on himself.
    • His reaction as Thor eats an ox during Thyrm's wedding party, afraid he'll blew their cover.
  • Together in Death / No Animosity in the Afterlife: The last part of Odin's song shows him in the afterlife with Thor and Odin.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Thor.

    Freyja

Freyja

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/freyja_dlh.jpg

Norse goddess of magic and beauty. Has occasionally received unwanted attention from frost giants.

  • Action Girl: She is the leader of the Valkyries and kicks ass like the rest of her fellow gods.
  • Angsty Surviving Twin: Her twin brother Frey dies at Ragnarok. As the end of her song shows, she never got over it.
  • Berserk Button: Don't steal her Brisingamen necklace if you know what's good for you.
  • Big Sister Instinct: After Frey is killed at Ragnarok, Freyja goes near Surtr in order to retrieve his corpse even though this almost gets her killed.
  • Dark Magical Girl: She's a powerful summoner who can shapeshift into birds and control fertility.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: The responsible to Frey's foolish.
  • Image Song: "Freyja", an arrange of Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer".
  • Full-Boar Action: Had a pet boar that she often used as a mount for battle. In the modern era, she switches it for a motorcycle with boar ornaments.
  • Sole Survivor: She's one of the few gods that survive the Ragnarok, together with Sif, Vidar, Frigg and the revived Baldur and Hoor.
  • Only Sane Woman: Compared to the whimsical Odin, the brutish Thor, the scheming Loki and the carefree Heimdall, she's this. She still has her moments, such as keeping a photo of the time Loki cut all of Sif's hair.
  • Pet the Dog: Even though she rejected Thyrm's marriage proposal, she still kept the drawing he made of her, even after the Ragnarok.
  • Precious Photo: After Ragnarok, she kept pictures of all the people she lost. Her most precious photo? A picture of her and Frey goofing around.
  • World's Most Beautiful Woman: Of the Norse pantheon. Even Zeus is smitten with her.
  • Yaoi Fangirl: She's a bit too gleeful about reading Thor X Loki doujinshis.

    Baldur

Baldur

The Norse God of Light, peace and beauty. Is accidentally killed by Hoor because of Loki's manipulations.
  • All-Loving Hero: Possibly, he's the God of Peace and is portrayed as a friendly himbo.
  • Beauty Equals Goodness: He is the god of beauty, is described as being handsome, and is heavily associated with goodness.
  • Catapult Nightmare: Prophetic ones about his own death no less.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: After all the hell he went through, he and Hoor are revived and live in the modern world together with the few gods that survived the Ragnarok.
  • Gentle Giant: Odin's song shows that he's the tallest of Odin's sons.
  • God of Good: The God of beauty, peace and benevolent Light.
  • Good Parents: His son sure seems to love him in their scene together.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In his first appearances his hair covered half of his face.
  • Flat Character: Even his character song lampshades he doesn't have any special powers or anything, he's just super pretty and super nice.
  • Loved by All: So loved that nearly everything in Yggdrasil swore not to harm him with smiles on their faces. Emphasis on "nearly".
  • Nice Guy: And pressumably the nicest of the Norse pantheon.
  • Sole Survivor: He's one of the few gods that survive the Ragnarok, together with Freyja, Sif, Vidar, Frigg and the revived Hoor.
  • Unknown Rival: Played For Tragedy. He seems unaware that Loki is jealous of his charisma and wants to kill him.

    Heimdall

Heimdall

The Watchman of the Aesir, permanently guarding the Bifrost Bridge against any threat.
  • Adaptational Jerkass: The Heimdall from the original myth stayed with three different human families in disguise and rewarded them based on their treatment of him, acting as a benevolent Angel Unaware. Here? He was just horny.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: Unlike myth Heimdall, who was more reserved, he's rather bombastic.
  • Big Fancy House: Has a huge mansion with a pool and a bar. Freyja's Image Song shows the surviving gods went to live there after the Ragnarok.
  • Born as an Adult: Played with. He's born as a baby, but grows as an abnormal rate due to her mothers feeding him sunlight, fertilizer and water.
  • Extra Parent Conception: The original myth Heimdall had a rather unusual Origin Story, being born from Odin and nine sea god's daughters, of whom there were nine (one for each wave in a cycle). Here it's shown the goddesses merging into one giant woman. Cue her and Odin having some Hot Skitty-on-Wailord Action.
  • Has Two Mommies: Nine mothers in fact. Who can merge into a giant woman.
  • Heroic Bastard: Is the result of Odin's affair with nine goddesses, which is why he isn't featured with the rest of Odin's sons in his Image Song.
  • Image Song: "Heimdall", an arrange of PSY's "Daddy".
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Normally a loud, bombastic, energetic guy who likes flexing his muscles. But when Ragnarok starts, he goes into killer mode as he faces Loki.
  • Mutual Kill: Does this with Loki.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Wears nothing but a bandanna and a speedo.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: He's based off Ricardo Milos, a gay Brazilian man who became a meme for an unintentionally humorous dancing video.
  • Super-Senses: Has enhanced sight and hearing.

Egyptian Mythology

    Ra
The god of the sun. Created and ruled over the earth... but then he got old and senile.
  • Animal Motifs: Hawks, as the original myth Ra had the head of one. Downplayed, as this one's head looks more like a chick, to the point of being called "Chickenman".
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Creates Sekhmet to destroy humanity once they start disrespecting him.
  • God of Light: The god of the sun and creator of all things. He retreats back into the spiritual world when Isis coerces him to give her his real name and his his power.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Sure, Isis conspires to usurp him to put Horus on the throne, but he dies on his own terms and goes to live more adventures on the spiritual world. And he regains his youthful appearance too.
  • The Hero: The song reinterprets him as a superhero, albeit with some Superdickery moments, who fights against the Big Bad Apophis as part of the channels renterpretation of deities. The name "Polloman" (Chickenman) is a clear reference to Marvel and DC famous naming coventions for their superhero characters.
  • Gonk: As an old man he is a short, Trump-esque thing.
  • Light Is Not Good: A tyrannical sun god who plots to murder humanity once they start disrespecting him.
  • Miniature Senior Citizens: His senile old self is portrayed as distinctively tiny while his younger self is taller than the other gods.
  • Stealth Pun: He is referred as "Polloman" ("chicken man"). This could just mocking his usual depiction as a bird... but roosters also happen to be associated with the sun, which he is.
  • The Leader: Of the Egyptian pantheon... until Isis blackmails him into give her his name and thus power.

Historical Figures

    Joan of Arc
A young country woman who led the French army against the English and was crucial in ending the Hundred Years War.
