Old Magnificent Bastard thread

Welcome to the Magnificent Bastard proposal thread! This is the thread where new Magnificent Bastard examples are vetted, approved, and written up. If you're looking for the general cleanup thread (for cuts, rewrites, expansions, and the like), please go here

Important: Before suggesting any new examples, please read the Frequently Asked Questions and Common Requests List; if you have any questions, the odds are high they are answered there. Additionally, please check here for the earliest date a work can be discussed (usually two weeks from the U.S. release date) and whether the work has already been reserved by another user.

Here is how the process works:

    Process

  1. If you have a candidate to propose, you can simply come right in and propose them! If the character's run is brief, such as a single issue of a comic book, then a simple summary of their actions and any potential mitigating features will be enough; for longer-running candidates, an effortpost (EP) might be helpful for organizing the proposal. An EP is not outright required, but please be mindful that if a post becomes too clunky and unorganized, it can be very hard for other people to follow.

  2. After the proposal, there will be a 72-hour discussion and voting period, where people may ask questions and vote on the candidate. The number of upvotes must outnumber the downvotes by at least five for the character to be considered "approved".

  3. Three days after the proposal has been made, if the character has been approved, you may post the writeup (the text to be posted on the trope page itself) on the thread and send it to the drafts page. Your candidate will soon be added to the MB subpage. If the work has a page, you should add your candidate to the relevant YMMV page. Voila! It's that simple!

Outside of this process, we do have a few ground rules:

    Ground Rules

  1. To keep the thread moving at a reasonable pace, there are some restrictions on when a proposal can be made. There should only be a maximum of four EPs posted both per page and per hour to ensure that nothing gets lost in the shuffle; additionally, each individual troper should only be proposing or writing up characters from a maximum of three works at a time (from initial proposals to end of their voting period). If your proposal would fall outside of either of these guidelines, we'd like to ask you to please wait until they would fit within; feel free to type them up on an outside document, and then when the time comes, you can just copy, paste, and post!

  2. No plagiarism of any kind. This is a very serious matter site-wide, as the website could get in actual legal trouble over this; as a result, this can very quickly lead to mod intervention. This can take many different forms:
    1. Direct plagiarism, i.e. wholesale copying. This is not only the easiest to find, but is also the most likely to warrant quick moderator intervention. To be clear, quoting in some places is perfectly acceptable, but it has to be very clear you're quoting from something else and it cannot be anything longer than a sentence or two - if you're quoting an entire work summary from Wikipedia, no one is going to believe you've actually consumed the work, so even if you cite your source, your candidate will be downvoted anyway.
    2. Self-plagiarism. Even if you can prove that you wrote the same text in both places, the site itself can't contain any of the duplicated text. If you already wrote something once before, it's not too hard to write it a second time.
    3. Using another site's work as a template for a proposal. Just because you don't copy and paste something directly doesn't mean it's any harder to detect if you're basing parts or all of your proposal on text someone else wrote. To be clear, this doesn't violate site rules and won't lead to mod intervention, but just like if you directly plagiarize, no one will believe you've consumed the work if you're clearly basing your proposal on something else. This thread largely operates on the honor system, and tweaking someone else's work to pass it off as your own is one of the fastest ways to lose trust.

  3. Votes must be for specific candidates, meaning no blanket voting (i.e. "yes to everyone I missed").

  4. If you are the first person to downvote a candidate, please provide an explanation of why when you do so. We're here for discussions above all, and a hit-and-run downvote doesn't facilitate anything.

  5. If a work is already reserved by another user, please don't comment on the work or any potential characters worth discussion before the discussion date. We know how exciting it is when a work has a keeper that you're waiting to talk about, but it's not fair to the person who reserved the work who is just as excited to lead the discussion to see the discussion getting spoiled before they get to do it. On the other hand, if the reservation only has one name attached, shoot them a PM - they may be down for a collaboration, which will get you in on the fun as well!

  6. Please keep the thread on-topic. While discussing the trope is fun and we encourage people to enjoy it, questions like "who's your favorite MB" are off-topic and can lead to thumps. That's the kind of question to take to people's PMs if they're willing. Similarly, while we encourage friendliness and familiarity with other users, posts should always have some kind of thread-relevant purpose; for instance, if you want to wish someone a happy birthday, feel free to, but if it's the only thing in the post, it's off-topic and needs something else alongside it. Again, though, while we strive for a friendly atmosphere, this is not Facebook; life updates are fun, but unless they have some kind of impact on your thread participation, please do not bring it here - we have Yack Fest for that.

  7. Please refrain from asking anything along the lines of "How Did We Miss This One?" In almost every case, the answer is simply "No one thought about it before". This Is a Wiki where everyone has different interests, and the fact that people missed a particular candidate, even one that seems like a textbook example of a trope or a character who is particularly iconic in pop culture, means absolutely nothing. The question is disruptive, has a simple and consistent answer, and provides nothing to any discussion.

  8. If you are suspended from other parts of the website, it is still possible to participate!
    1. For users who are suspended from editing the wiki, you still have full access to this thread. You can propose candidates and write them up with no issues whatsoever; while you will have to ask someone else to post the entry to the relevant pages once it is done, all write-ups are considered thread-approved - as in, done by consensus - and thus doing so does not violate any rules regarding meatpuppeting.
    2. If you are suspended from the forums, your participation is limited but not impossible. It is still possible for a forum-suspended user to assist in creating the write-up for a character who has already been approved; as previously mentioned, write-ups are inherently considered a consensus-based edit and thus not tied to any one particular user. However, you can not assist in the proposal of a character; as a proposal is based around the forum rather than the wiki, doing so with a forum suspension qualifies as meatpuppeting.

  9. Please keep all discussions "in-house".
    1. What other wikis use for MB equivalents is irrelevant here.
    2. Please be wary of using other wikis, Fandom or otherwise, as sources of information. They are just as fallible as a site like Wikipedia in regards to accuracy because they can be edited by any user, just as this site can.
    3. Do not attempt to force a communication with an author in an attempt to gather evidence or settle a debate; besides the fact that this is a YMMV trope and thus author intent has variable weight depending on the circumstance, doing so may cross the line into drama exportation, which is prohibited site-wide.

If you would like to use an EP for your candidate, here's the general format. This format does not have to be followed exactly, but these are the main topics that need to be covered:

    Effortpost Template

What is the work?

This is a brief summary of the work you're going to discuss. We don't need a full plot summary here, just however much we need to understand going into the discussion — it can even be as simple as quoting the summary on the work's page.

Who is the candidate and what have they done?

This is essentially the character's biography — who they are, their story, their goals and methodology, and, preferably (though not required), what happens to the candidate at the end. It does not have to include every single thing they ever do — for some characters, we'd be here all day if that was the case — but it should include the highlights of their journey.

How are they Magnificent?

This is the point where you highlight the character's brilliance. How to they convey their intelligence and charm to the audience? What makes them stand out among the crowd? What are their goals and how do they go about accomplishing them? This part welcomes a lot of creative thinking — not everyone has to be a Machiavellian Diabolical Mastermind to be worth considering here! This is also the time to showcase how the character can think on their feet if it's necessary.

How are they a Bastard? How are they not too bad?

What kinds of moral lines is this character willing to cross for the sake of their goal? Are they willing to let innocents die? Start wars? Commit crimes? The character has to show some kind of unscrupulousness in order to count as a "Bastard". Notably, this character does not necessarily have to be the villain, and an Anti-Hero can cross the line if they're immoral enough, but they have to be immoral somehow.

This is also the section where you then state your case for why they're not too bad. Perhaps their good intentions help mitigate their crimes. Perhaps others are shown to be much worse than them. Perhaps they're prone to Pet the Dog moments or are even fighting on behalf of loved ones. Whatever the case, there are certain lines that an MB can't cross, but as long as their villainy is reasonable for their goal, they can be considered.

Final verdict?

This is where you post your final conclusion on the character in question. You can continue elaborating on your reasons or even just say a simple "yes" or "no"; at this point, we've heard everything we need to hear.

And that's everything you need to know. Welcome to the thread!

Two questions for you guys about two protagonists from different films.

Would you guys be comfortable with an EP for Andy Dufresne? Or is he ultimately too much of a Guile Hero

And would folks oppose an EP for Max? FWIW he did intend on leaving Furiosa and the wives in the desert when he tries to drive the rig.

Max I know is one we’ve meant to post on. Andy I’m a no on then, he’s brilliant but the work plays him as an Angel to his fellow inmates. Even cooking the books for Norton is something he’s forced into and leverages to enrich the lives of the other prisoners. He’s a Guile Hero.

My concern with Max is the same as it was when the thought of proposing him was first tossed around - if the video game is canon, there's no way he counts. He's a passive participant in human trafficking there and goes so insane that he straight up murders his only ally. I'd be inclined to disregard it but the flashbacks seen throughout Fury Road are explained in the game, which gives me concerns.

    • Poison Ivy, once the young orphan Ivy Pepper, then a ditzy Femme Fatale-wannabe, transforms herself into a truly dangerous threat to all of Gotham. With none of the immaturity of her previous incarnations, Ivy quickly sets about creating a poison that can kill people by turning them into plants, which she uses in her crusade to tear down Wayne Enterprises for the damage they've done to the environment. However, upon discovering their experiments with the Lazarus Pit, Ivy uses the substance to create an airborne version of her poison in order to return the entire city to nature. Armed with a hypnotizing perfume that allows her to quickly amass followers or lure enemies into traps, Ivy's brilliance is further showcased when she distracts Gordon from pursuing her with a vial of her poison's antidote, then later tricks Bruce into thinking she's an innocent victim so that she can slaughter those who have captured her. Not without some honor despite her misanthropy, Ivy nonetheless takes advantage of Gotham becoming a No Man's Land to both poison the city's water and brainwash Zsasz into attacking Gordon, hoping to create a human-free green paradise and easily escaping when foiled.

Aight just rewatched the trilogy to brush up on this guy.

What is the work?

The Equalizer trilogy is a great trio of action films featuring Denzel Washington as the titular character, Robert McCall. Robert is a seemingly unassuming man who ends up being quite the something as the EP will demonstrate.

Who is Robert McCall and what has he done?

     First Film

A seemingly innocuous worker at a hardware store, Robert is introduced going through his work routine, getting along with all his co-workers, especially a worker named Ralph who he's helping to lose weight so he can get a security guard job. Befriending a prostitute Alina, Robert walks with her where her abusive pimp Slavi arrives and slaps her in front of him, with Robert only withholding from interfering due to Slavi's grunt wielding a gun. Hearing that Alina ended up in the ICU due to being horrifically brutalised by Slavi, Robert tracks Slavi to his office above a restaurant, offering him $9,800 if he let's Alina go. Slavi, being a lovely combination of Smug Snake and Hate Sink refuses and tells Robert to fuck off unless he makes it a continuous investment since he can still sell Alina off as a virgin. Robert's response? To effortlessly kill Slavi and his grunts for not taking the deal.

Discovering that two corrupt cops have been holding Ralph's family under extortion else their business gets set on fire, Robert ambushes them at night and forces them to return all the money or else he'll release the tape that he has recorded of them threatening a woman with the same extortion. When a robber holds one of his friend Jenny at gunpoint quietly at work and takes her ring, Robert makes mental notes of the thug and hands him the money and ring when noticing some children come in—following him to track his car plate. After telling Ralph to not feel bad for the situation, noting the thug had done this before in other places and had shot someone, Robert then takes matters into his own hand and leaves the store taking a hammer, next seen wiping said hammer with a cloth, with visible blood on it.

Now due to Slavi being killed, it's brought the attention of his higherups to send Psycho for Hire Teddy Renson to investigate. Teddy eventually tracks that Robert entered the restaurant that Slavi died in where he goes to his address and speaks to Robert about the murders under guise of an agent. Robert effortlessly sees through the disguise, pulling up multiple alibis and reasons—which Teddy deducts that Robert is more than just a hardware store worker. Wanting to capture Robert, Teddy sends a grunt under a disguise of power worker to ambush Robert at a cafe, which Robert knows when he sees the grunt's hands aren't showing any signs of working and effortless kills the guy and the power, leaving and taking pictures of Teddy and his American grunts—also evading capture effortlessly when they give chase.

Teddy then decides to infiltrate Robert's flat where it seems to him that Robert has done a runner and fled (although Teddy knows that he wouldn't just flee like that). Whereas in fact? Robert has set up multiple hidden camera's to watch the grunts sneak about while he hides within another flat. Heading to his old friend Susan, a contact within the agency, he asks her to find out who Teddy is. Here we find out that Robert was an agent and faked his death via car bomb. Tracking the last American grunt, Masters when told the other two were killed by Teddy for failure, Robert ambushes him and tortures him via carbon poisoning from his car to get answers from him about Teddy's boss Pushkin. Heading to one of Pushkin's money laundering plants, Robert has the whole gang there turn themselves in when he threatens their boss Andri's balls with his own gun, paying the workers there with Pushkin's own money. Robert then leaves Andri and his goons tied up with Pushkin's money for the feds to discover.

When Teddy and a Russian thug he's taken to hire to hunt Robert are meeting at a restaurant, the thug heads to the toilet and has his seat taken by Robert who appears with the thugs very broken and bloody glasses. Robert then threatens to dismantle Pushkin's entire operation to Teddy "brick by brick, dollar by dollar, body by body". The two adversaries then trade dialogue with Teddy kicking it off by the classic "when you look at me what do you see?". Robert recalls the line to him at the end of the conversation and it's one of the few times you see Teddy slightly unnerved when staring into Robert. When Teddy refuses Robert's offer, Robert leaves and destroys half a billions worth of oil that belongs to Pushkin by igniting the freighter and calmly walking away from the chain explosion.

With Pushkin being infuriated about his losses, Teddy decides to strike Robert where it'd hurt, by attacking the hardware store and holding the workers there hostage. When Teddy goes to have Robert sniped on a bus, it's shown he's already arrived and left a decoy on it as a distraction. From there Robert effortlessly takes down Teddy's mercs via multiple methods such as ambushes and traps using devices at the hardware store, only struggling with a Giant Mook who he still takes down. Robert then finds Teddy and shoots him with a nail gun repeatedly, killing the sick bastard for good. Robert then pulls off one final act, heading to Pushkin's mansion in Moscow, he kills the kingpin luring him into an exposed wire amongst water, leaving the manor calmly where you see the bodies of Pushkin's guard's scattered about. The film ends after Alina catches up with Robert (which reveals he gave the money to her anonymously) and that he's decided to go down a new route for his skills, to help the less fortunate going through problems.

     Second Film

The second film introduces Robert on a train within Turkey, tracking an abusive father who kidnapped his own daughter to spite his wife, offering the guy a chance to stop his goal. The guy has his thugs go to kill Robert... who obviously kills them all with ease. Sitting opposite the guy, he offers him a chance to make his decision—the daughter ends up returning to her mother. The film then show's Robert has taken up as a Lyft driver—when having to pick up a crying woman who shows signs of being drugged and assaulted, he returns to where she came from, a flat with young adult wall street cockwombles and kicks their arses and forces the least reluctant one to turn themselves in since the others sort of need looking at since Robert brutalised them lmao, also breaking the fingers on one of his hands.

Hearing that Susan was killed when investigating a "suicide" in Brussels. Robert immediately starts to investigate the cause behind it to avenge his friend, searching through CCTV of the hotel she was killed in, deducing that the hit wasn't random due to the precision of the stabbings and that the suicide was staged. Noticing a young adult named Miles hadn't returned home after he saw him leaving with two gangbangers, Robert heads to their flat complex and infiltrates it, taking Miles back after holding the others at gunpoint. When Miles protests about it, Robert sees through that Miles doesn't want to be a gangster truly and has Miles point a gun at his head to pop a bullet through it.

When picking up a passenger on Lyft, it's then revealed to be an assassin to kill Robert when he intentionally drives in the wrong direction to lure the assassin out the facade. Robert then takes out the attacker while driving and leaves his body in the river and torches his Lyft car. Heading to his old friend from the agency, Dave York's house, Robert shows that he knows that Dave is behind the murders and that he was the one to personally kill Susan after the assault. Robert leaves with Dave and sees who the other killers are, with Robert leaving by saying to Dave's wife that he said that she'd provide him a lift.

When Dave sends two of the killers to Susan's house to kill her husband, Robert sneaks him out without them noticing. Phoning Miles, Robert has him navigate out the house through a hidden door to hide from Dave and one of the other killers when they sneak into Robert's flat. When Dave almost finds Miles and goes to shoot, Robert phones him to distract him and to tell Dave that he's not there in his house, although Dave does linger and capture Miles.

Facing Dave and the other 3 killers at his original house during a hurricane, Robert ambushes one of them and shoots a harpoon through his skull. Robert then ambushes the second one by repeatedly slashing him with a blade after luring him into a trap. After killing the third one by having him blow up the building he tries to breach, taking him with it, Dave tells Robert that if he shows himself, he'll spare Miles. Dave almost shoots Miles in the boot but Robert shoots the tires of the car to make him miss his mark and then sneaks to the tower Dave's using as a sniper's perch. The two fight with Robert gouging out Dave's eye, stabbing him repeatedly and throwing his body off the perch onto the rocks below.

The film ends with Robert sorting out Miles' wound and concludes the search Robert had Susan do for a holocaust survivor who was trying to prove that an art piece of his sister was his... by having his sister discover that her brother was still alive, reuniting the pair.

     Third Film

The third film opens following a Italian crime lord as he ventures into his house, finding his guards butchered through a variety of ways, eventually finding Robert in the cellar. Robert then kills the guards that have him at gunpoint and shoots the crime lord and unloads a shotgun to his skull. Leaving the compound, Robert leaves the compound, pointing the gun at the crime lord's young son and tells him to stay in the car. The kid then shoots Robert with him almost going to shoot the kid although he doesn't when the kid flees. Wounded, Robert contemplates suicide before hitching a ride on a freighter, eventually being discovered by someone along the road in his car.

Phoning the CIA, Robert informs them about wine being smuggled from Syria being a front for smuggling less legal substances in the winery he infiltrated in the prologue. Robert then discovers a fishmonger being beaten by a extorting thug called Marco Quaranta who alongside his brother, Vincent are orchestrating a mass extortion over the town (well Vincent is much obviously the one in charge) to turn it into their image. Robert later sees their handiwork with their ruthlessness when he finds out that the fishmongers home and business was burnt down, seeing Marco and his thugs laughing about it behind the crowds.

When CIA agent Emma Collins finds Robert, he easily deducts she's an agent by seeing through her tourist guise. Seeing Gio (the man who discovered him) beaten, he asks the doctor he's living with Enzo about the cause in which Robert's told about the Quaranta blight on the town. When Marco intimidates Gio to do a favour for him, he spots Robert giving him a Death Glare, heading to chat him and threaten him, Robert instead asks him calmly to move the scheme elsewhere and twists his arm, compressing his nerves in his hands and has him hand his gun onto the table before getting him to leave.

When Marco goes to get revenge and has one of his goons go into his van, the van crashes into another thug, revealing the driver has been killed by Robert who then walks calmly and smashes a bottle onto the remaining mook's skull. What happens next is best described as an execution towards Marco by Robert, despite Marco being armed with a switchblade. When Vincent shoots Gio's ear off and declares that he'll murder his family and pick off the town until Marco's killer reveals themselves, Robert shows himself and offers himself so he'll stop the possible slaughter. When Vincent goes for the kill, he realises the townsfolk are recording, he retreats not before declaring to tear the town apart when he returns.

So to stop the whole "town being razed" thing, Robert infiltrates Vincent's compound, wiping out all of his guards and eventually reaching Vincent in his bedroom who Robert wakes up by dropping a body through his rooftop window. As Vincent is fearfully seeing his dead guard, he gets knocked out by Robert and tied up and overdosed on drugs to have his heart eventually stop out. As Vincent stumbles approaching death, Robert just calmly follows watching him choke and die on the streets. After visiting Emma in the hospital, Robert has her return a guy's pension to someone who's pension he was after (hence why he ended up in the Winery.) The film ends with Robert deciding to settle into Almonte, welcomed by the other townsfolk being the one who saved them.

Is he magnificent?

This bit is hilariously easy, Robert ticks all the quota. Charming? When not stone cold against his foes, Robert is a Nice Guy to his friends or general civilians and is played expertly by Denzel. Resourceful? Uh yes, both in planning and combat. Robert's foes aren't idiots. Even the standard mooks are shown to be tactful combatants. Robert is a One-Man Army without feeling like an unstoppable juggernaut, he uses his environment to help him with his kills.

The third film starts him off a bit rough due to his wound but considering the shitstorm he brings down upon Marco and Vincent, that problem is rectified.

Is he a bastard?

Now this is tougher, I'll get the points out the way.

  • His past that he buried isn't really alluded to. In the second film Dave, who was his former partner then noted that the agency had him and Robert be the guns to kill people, with Dave noting that it didn't matter who they killed then. It's something Robert tries to hide from, with him apologising to his deceased wife when he cuts lose and slaughters Slavi and his thugs. There's no flashbacks though which might dampen it.
  • He has Miles force the gun at his head to see if the young adult would pull the trigger after taking him back from the gangbangers flat, Miles is terrified about it and then Robert turns the gun on him with him being terrified. Bastardy enough?
  • He flat out points a gun at the Winery lord's young son and tells him not to move, it's not even like he did a auto flinch and pointed the gun. He walks out and spots the kid and holds the gun at him and tells him not to do anything. The son isn't portrayed as some Overlord Jr. but a scared kid so that's enough there for me IMO.
  • Now this is where YMMV is fully into play, Robert is brutal...exceptionally brutal against his enemies and he'll coldly watch them die with no mercy. Now with nasty bastards like Slavi and Teddy? Justified but the brutality isn't just reserved for the main villains, the grunts get it far worse (apart from Vincent who dies probably the most drawn out death in the film series.)

Final Verdict?

This one's all yours folks!

Meeseeks vs Meeseeks is a series of three animated shorts by 3D Print Guy. In each video, Rick Sanchez asks a regular Meeseeks and a Kirkland Meeseeks to carry out tasks for him.

The Candidates:

The Meeseeks. I'm sure about Kirkland, but not the Regular one. Nonetheless, I'm putting both of their actions here for transparency

How to Get Rid of a Body

  • Rick asks the Meeseeks to get rid of two of his dead clones. While Regular Meeseeks doesn't do much scheming here and is caught while disposing off his body, Kirkland dresses his clone up like a druggie and calls the cops. This makes it look like as if the cops shot his assigned Rick-clone. Both Meeseeks return, their tasks done.

How to Rob a Bank

  • Rick wants to buy a soft drink, so he asks the Meeseeks to get some money for him.
    • Regular goes on a shopping spree, buying items that resemble robber gear as well as a gun, and robs a bank successfully. There is even a chase scene with the police, which ends with him shooting a cop.
    • Kirkland stakes out the bank and takes images. Whatever pictures Kirkland takes are enough to spook the bank teller and he becomes a VP at the bank. He then sets off a fire alarm, picks up a briefcase full of money, and drops his cigarette, setting the building ablaze.

How to Prison Riot

  • Rick is in prison and asks the Meeseeks to help him get out
    • Regular pretends to befriend a guard, before strangling him and stealing the keys to Rick's cell
    • Kirkland steals a box of scrap metal from a workshop and gives it to a class of prisoners, teaching them to make shanks. He also throws a ladle at one of the prisoners during meal time, leading the latter to think they were attacked by another prisoner. Kirkland then delivers the shanks to the angry prisoners, instigating a prison riot.
    • They use the chaos to free Rick.

Magnificence

Both Meeseeks are polar opposites. Regular is more easy going and straightforward with his actions, while Kirkland appears to favour efficiency and is more dour. Nonetheless, both characters are always successful at fulfilling what Rick asks them to do.

Bastardry

Both Meeseeks are willing to get people hurt or killed to achieve their goals. Kirkland sets a bank on fire and instigates a prison riot (though in the former case, he at least sets off the alarm first and leaves his keycard and gas mask behind). Meanwhile, Regular Meeseeks shoots a cop while on a high speed chase and murders a prison guard after gaining his trust.

I think Kirkland would get a yes from me, but my problem is with Regular. He quite frankly does not seem as competent as Kirkland. He got caught disposing of his body, bought robber gear when he simply could have used that money to buy Rick a soda, and simply murdering the guard is not very clever and would not have been successful if not for Kirkland causing a riot.

  • The Disposing a Body short was the very first one, and he does escape after being caught (I don't get how he ended up on the ship though. The animation doesn't explain it very well)
  • He doesn't buy robber gear. He buys yarn to make a jacket and mask, and deli meat to resemble bombs. Nonetheless, you have a point that he could have just bought / shoplifted a soda can instead.
  • Befriending the guard and killing him was done to steal the keys to Rick's cell

It seems that my proposal for the thief only ended up getting 4 responses. While I understand if people just didn't thought she counted, I'd have liked more opinions at least honestly ngl

[tup]to Jaguar and Robert. Now for my draft.

Adventure Time

  • [The Vampire King]
  • Season 9: Aunt Lolly, alongside Uncle Gumbald and Cousin Chicle, was created by Princess Bubblegum to be a part of her family before their attempt to overthrow her led them to be turned into hapless candy people. When the three are restored to their original forms in the present day, Lolly conspires with Gumbald to get revenge on their creator and conquer the Candy Kingdom. Not wanting to go to war, Aunt Lolly forms a plan in which she sabotages the lift Finn, Jake, and Gumbald are on, knowing the duo would save Gumbald from falling, has Gumbald invite them to dinner out of supposed gratitude, then has Chicle douse Finn and Jake with Gumbald's dum dum juice; which would turn PB into a dumb candy person once she makes contact with them; leaving the Candy Kingdom theirs to conquer. After her plan just barely fails, when Bubblegum and Gumbald appear to make amends, Aunt Lolly, seeing through Gumbald's ruse, sabotages his attempts at backstabbing PB and sincerely makes peace with her niece before fighting alongside the heroes against GOLB.

@Rhino8888: Didn't see that EP actually. Gonna say [tdown] though. Don't quite feel she hits the "B" part of "MB."

  • The Getaway: Yasmin is a no-nonsense hitwoman working for Charlie Jolson. Tasked with kidnapping Mark Hammond's wife, Suzie, and son, Alex, Yasmin and her companions successfully kidnap Alex so Charlie can hold him hostage and force Mark into taking out the other gangs in London. Although Yasmin is arrested by DCI McCormack, she remains silent during her interrogation before being confronted by Mark himself. Knowing Charlie wants her dead and that Mark wants his son back, Yasmin offers to help Mark rescue Alex, and the two of them shoot their way out of a police station before Yasmin poses as a dancer so she can infiltrate Charlie's mansion. Even after the rescue attempt is botched, Yasmin continues assisting Mark and going after Charlie, killing several of his minions before she and Mark talk their way out of being killed by the other gangs.
