MOD NOTE: TROPES BLANKET-BANNED FROM HAVING VIDEO EXAMPLES:
- Attempted Rape
- Bound and Gagged
- Epileptic Flashing Lights
- Jump Scare
- Nocturnal Emission
- Pooping Where You Shouldn't
- Potty Failure
- Sensory Abuse
- Screamer Prank
It's been discussed a lot at the Video Uploading thread that a lot of poor videos are slipping through the cracks, and that a clean-up effort is necessary if we are to combat the problem.
Common issues are:
- Videos spoiling major events from a work
- Videos not actually fitting the trope they're attached to
- Videos in which the important part doesn't happen until halfway through, with the length being ultimately pointless
- Videos that use the entire work, breaking copyright; this can be done either with one video showcasing an entire short video, or multiple videos that add up to using the entire work in piecemeal.
- Videos lacking the proper media source, or any media source at all.
- General quality problems, like audio issues or artifacting.
So, we've got our work cut out for us; but this is at least a place to discuss problems and come to solutions.

It's been five days and there's been two videos approval cycles, but the broken videos I uploaded for Mirror Routine haven't been deleted yet.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢It's hard to find videos that are missing media sources. I think we need a search function on the recent videos page so we can search for videos by description as a lot of videos are being uploaded without a media source. I could put some videos like the PAW Patrol videos under Videos Needing Review and mark them under "Missing Media Source."

The only currently-existing example at Conlang is a screen recording of an entire Youtube video.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. There probalby shouldn't. In retrospect, do you think the video is too squicky?
I'm back! Before I upload it, how clear is it that this depicts a Beam-O-War?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Pretty alright imo.
The Your Head Asplode video from The Legend of Korra has a KissAnime watermarknote and the Blow You Away example from the same series has that weird issue where it's completely inaudible on phones without earbuds.
Keet cleanupThe latest video for Naked People Are Funny isn’t an example of the trope.
The latest video for The Final Temptation is also over 2 minutes long.
I think 2.5 minutes is the max, so 2 minutes isn't inherently a bad thing.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThe source for the Coconut Meets Cranium video is Skunk Fu. It has an illegal watermark anyway, so it should probably be cut.
The BioShock Infinite video for Hollywood Hacking is not an example of the trope because supernatural abilities (that work exactly like magic) were used to possess the machine, it's not supposed to be seen as actual hacking.

The Big City Greens video on Flat-Earth Atheist isn't the trope. The trope is about characters who are skeptical of fantastic things when they clearly exist, not just "flat-earthers exist".

back lolIt's my first time uploading videos, so I attempted to upload three from the Sonic Triple Trouble video game. However, since it's my first time, I admit I had a little trouble trying to add the tag for the source material to the latter two videos. The tropes are as follows:
- Underwater Boss Battle: A video involving Sonic battling Knuckles in Act 3 of Tidal Plant Zone, which takes place underwater.
- Bait-and-Switch Boss: A video involving Sonic coming across Nack the Weasel, wherein it seems like Sonic is going to fight him, but Nack panics and runs away from Dr. Eggman, the game's real final boss.
- Hopping Machine: A video involving Sonic fighting Dr. Eggman's spring pod, the first phase of the final boss.
The video desc. seem to check out. What was your problem w/ adding the source?
The Leeroy Jenkins example from the Leeroy Jenkins Video is 2:30 of a 2:50 video. The line for "too much of one work" is at 50%, I'm pretty sure.

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. What's our stance on media sources for review videos again, especially when it's about a negative review? I uploaded a video for Narm Charm from The Nostalgia Critic's Pokémon Detective Pikachu review but only cited the former as a media source. Should I put the latter on there too, for copyright's sake if nothing else?
I'm also uploading another video that shows clips from a film and depicts an In-Universe audience reaction that's more negative (Sequelitis), and I also left off the reviewed material especially as the video is quite unkind to the movie in question.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. Is that video even copyrighted?
Rock'n'roll never dies!Created in the 21st century, and the creator hasn't declared it not copyrighted. So we can assume the copyright exists.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Is the Steven Universe example on Racist Grandma too spoilery? White Diamond is practically a Walking Spoiler. Without context you can't she's equivalent to Steven's grandma, and the context as to what makes her akin to Steven's grandma is a massive spoiler.
It actually has a fairly high rating, but I assume that's because a lot of SU fans know the context. I feel like it should be removed, but I'm not sure.
But it's not really obvious that she's elderly either. She looks like a mature adult woman, but not particularly old.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Agreesies.
Once an Episode: The Corn & Peg video for once an episode doesn't actually demonstrate that it happens in every episode or even more than once. Even if something is the trope, the video needs to actually demonstrate it, otherwise it's Fan Myopia.
Agreed, that's a bad video. It has a 1-star ranking, meaning all four people who gave feedback (including me just now) gave it 1 star.
The trope Racist Grandma doesn't require the character to be an actual grandma, just elderly. That video still might be too much of a spoiler, though, since it shows that White Diamond had a Heel–Face Turn.
Keet cleanupCan the mods edit video descriptions? In the title and description of the Kingdom Hearts II video on Lunacy, "Siax" should be "Saïx".
There's no real point in wondering imo, people will rate things for whatever reason, and there's really no way to find out why. Personally, I thought your video was fine.
On the topic of discussing our own videos, I uploaded a video to Vomit Chain Reaction a while back. But only today I realized that there purposely was no page image due to the generally gross nature of the trope. Does that mean that no video examples are allowed either? Note that my video is probably one of the tamer examples of Vomit Chain Reaction.
