As seen in the Do we have a project to disambig works? Ask The Tropers, there are many works pages that seem to need disambigs, by virtue of sharing names and having no differentiation.
This thread is for the discussion and listing of what to do about such pages.
See here for a list of needed disambigs.
The List
- Film.The Lost World
- Series.Utopia
- Series.Kidnapped (2006 NBC Cop Show) (20 wicks)
- Series.The Street
- VideoGame.Star Wars Battlefront
- VideoGame.Star Wars Battlefront II
- WesternAnimation.Fantasia
- WesternAnimation.Max Steel
Similar Issues
- Then there is pages like The Host which is for the Korean film but has a bunch of wicks referring to the adaptation of The Host.
- Ransom: YMMV.Ransom only has Film entries, but Characters.Ransom is trying to be a disambig to Characters.Ransom Film and Characters.Ransom TV... Trivia.Ransom needs to be split.
- Film.Deadlands is conflicting with the Tabletop Game. Maybe move to its redirect, Film. The Dead Lands?
- Series. The Untouchables: It's holding multiple versions in there...

I mean... you could say that about all the other pages, too...
Yes? Not everyone agrees that subpage collision is a problem.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here....then why do we even have this thread?
Because some works want to be in the same namespace. I just suggested that Series.Utopia be moved to Series.Utopia UK because we already have Series.Utopia 2014 and Series.Utopia US and the original page would disambiguate between three pages in the same namespace.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. Also, some people are of the opinion that subpage collision is a problem.
... It's kinda really contentious, actually.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.NVM, mistaken for a similar thread. But I do agree that not everyone agrees on it being a problem (I don't).

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Mostly just posting that, with the release of the newest book of The Dresden Files, we now have three separate works named Battle Ground
Literature.Battle Ground (The Dresden book) Film.Battleground, a movie about the Battle of the Bulge Series.Battleground, a tv series released on Hulu.
When time allows my plan was to move the content to Literature.Battle Ground 2020, Film.Battleground 1949, and Series.Battleground 2012. None of the pages are especially large so it won't be hard to do.
Is that all right?
Also, should Main.Battleground be made a disambig page? I'm not sure if the process there.
< Mandatory grumble about subpages can be soft-split instead of moving anything >
Yes, you'd want to make a Main page disambiguation after moving those pages.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. With three unrelated works potentially sharing one set of pages, I can't see a good reason not to hard split here. Being honest I don't see a reason not to generally, but especially so here.
How do I go about requesting the disambig, since it would involve creating a new Main page?
When the main page didn't already exist as a redirect, we go to the locked pages thread.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Thank you.
Series.Forever (and its subpages) should be moved to Forever (2014), to distinguish it from the unrelated Forever (2018).
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.There is now VideoGame.Wick and VideoGame.Wick 2020
The first game's website says it came out in 2015, so Wick 2015 it is.
Just disambig'd Stay:
Film.Stay —> Film.Stay 2005
Fanfic.Stay —> Fanfic.Stay 2013
VideoGame.STAY —> VideoGame.Stay 2018
I've already made a request at the locked pages thread to make Main.Stay into a disambig page.
We typically disambiguate fan works by fandom or author, not by year.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Yes, better suited for StayAnotherChapterOfMe or StayVictorius.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Oh right, I forgot about that...
Well, the article says the author is named "Lalis", but the name on the actual fic is "AnotherChapterOfMe", so which do we use?
Can you find evidence that Lalis exists and connect them with the fanfic? I can't, so I used their FF.net name.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. There's Film. The Guardian and Film. The Guardian 1990.
I guess the former gets moved to 2006...
And then a Guardian disambig, for the works and Guardian Entity?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Sounds like a plan.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Webcomic.Bruno should be moved to either Webcomic.Bruno 1996 or Webcomic.Bruno Webcomic to avoid wiki word collision with Film.Bruno.
back lolNo, the rule is both pages have to be moved. That's why I don't think subpage collision is a problem.

I suggest Series.Utopia UK for that one.
