If you could be any one Undertale (or Deltarune) character, who would it be and why?

He started out as a Small Name, Big Ego loser who was convinced that he was royalty and ended up embarrassing himself when he tried to act on said fantasy. He gave up on his delusions of being royalty shortly thereafter, and the experiences he's been through since then have made him a much more mature and more heroic Pokémon. He's still got a bit of an ego, but he's a bit better at keeping it in check.

What's the dumbest Flame War you've ever witnessed?

Remember that whole "OK" symbol promotes White Supremacy incident that started as a joke until tumblr took it seriously? Well, my sister got mixed up in that when she uploaded a selfie of her giving that gesture regarding the food she just cooked. The comment section exploaded in her facebook feed. It was South Park levels of stupid. (As in how the characters react, not calling the show stupid. I love South Park.)

What do you think of Indonesian soccer in general?

A couple of years ago I would have answered Warframe, but that game has seen some massive popularity boom lately. I guess it's Path of Exile, then. Like Warframe, PoE is no doubt one of the best free-to-play games in the market, but the sheer complexity of its mechanics mean that many people bounced off the game pretty quickly. Seriously, just look at the passive skill tree! It doesn't help that the game ramps up the difficulty fairly quickly, to the point where if you don't know what you're doing, it's possible to get stuck halfway through the game because your character simply can't deal with basic enemies. Still, I do wish that more people give the game a shot. There's not a whole lot of games where you can vaporize entire armies in two seconds way before the end of the game.

Least favorite song?

There's an exchange in Les Misérables that always makes me chuckle even though it's not supposed to be funny (though not quite narm territory, either.)

When Marius and Cosette have their love duet, "A Heart Full Of Love", we get this exchange:

Marius: Cosette, I don't know what to say!

Cosette: Then make no sound.

I get that "then make no sound" is probably supposed to mean "you don't have to say anything, just having you here is wonderful." But I always misread it as being more like Cosette is thinking "Okay, well, obviously you're an idiot, but maybe if you just shut up we can make this work."

Do you play much soccer?

I probably wouldn't put them in my Top 5 favorite character archetypes but they make for very interesting characters nonetheless. Especially if they are actually royalty (unlike Henry) and we can learn about the place/kingdom they're from.

Not to that point, no, because I usually skip the "wanting to beat them up" step straight to "wanting to shoot them in the head". Handsome Jack comes to mind, but you get the opportunity to shoot him anyway in the end, which is satisfying enough for me.

Who’s your main in Risk of Rain 2?

Damon Albarn has been killin’ it as a songwriter for the better part of the past three decades or so (including his stuff with Gorillaz and a lot of Blur’s discography but especially the back half of their original run), and Jamie Hewlett’s art is unmistakable. I listened to Plastic Beach and Demon Days as a middle schooler and both just blew my mind.

My best friend and I have bonded many a time over our shared love for the music and the characters themselves. They’re the kind of group you only get a couple of in a lifetime and I’m glad to have ‘em.
