Finding themselves among alternate versions of their guildmates in Edolas, Dante and company attempt to piece together the events transpiring before being attacked by a servant of Edolas' king, by the name of Nelo Angelo.
- Adaptational Karma: Downplayed, but in canon Lucy Ashley acted as a bully to Natsu (her's and the Earthland version) and suffers not so much as a callout. Here, Dante swiftly and decisively leaves her flat on her back while calling out her attitude. Lisanna even admits she deserves it.
- Alternate Self: Just like in canon, the members of Edolas Fairy Tail are this to the Earthland members.
- Lucy's is Lucy Ashley, a tomboy and tough fighter who frequently subjects her Natsu to submission holds.
- Edolas Elfman is a tear prone wimp that is repeatedly told to toughen up by Edolas Jet and Droy.
- Edolas Gray wears too many clothes and is a Hopeless Suitor for Juvia, who finds him annoying.
- Edolas Bisca and Alzack are Sickeningly Sweethearts.
- The scantily clad and beer chugging Cana's Edolas counterpart wears a fancy dress, is quite refined, and refuses to drink alcohol.
- Local foul mouthed Action Girl Lady's counterpart detests all forms of violence, wears a dress and goes by Mary.
- The intelligent and kind Levy's counterpart is a cranky Wrench Wench.
- Wendy is surprised at her counterpart being a visibly older Ms. Fanservice.
- Subverted with Mirajane, whose personality appears to be the same.
- Always Someone Better:
- Dante acts as this once again, quickly and decisively dealing with Lucy Ashley.
- Although Erza Knightwalker is just as feared as in canon, Nelo Angelo is apparently considered even scarier to face.
- Big Sister Worship: After sharing her Imagine Spot, Wendy admits to having this towards Erza.
- Brought Down to Badass: Demonic powers or no, Dante is still DANTE, and manages to briefly push back Nelo Angelo.
- Childhood Friend Romance: If the previous chapters weren't any indication, Natsu's flashback to his childhood with Lisanna makes it clear they were heading in this direction.
- Continuity Nod: Natsu's flashbacks bring up some scenes from previous chapters and canon episodes involving flashbacks with Lisanna.
- The Dreaded: Erza Knightwalker, the Fairy Hunter is this as per canon. She shares this status with Nelo Angelo, whose presence has the Edolas Fairy Tail even more scared than before.
- Entertainingly Wrong: Modeus assures Edolas Fairy Tail are not 'Exceeds'... which proves untrue several chapters later.
- Establishing Character Moment: Nelo Angelo gets a grand one, his presence inspiring more dread in Edolas Fairy Tail than Erza Knightwalker, and managing to recognise Dante as a Son of Sparda.
- Everyone Can See It: Apparently Bisca and Alzack, such that Modeus considers their attraction to one another obvious despite barely being in the guild for a week.
- Everyone Has Standards: Despite loving a good fight himself and being willing to mess with people, Dante considers Lucy Ashley's treatment of Natsu to be going too far.
- Foreshadowing:
- Mary mentions Lucy Ashley's aunt, who becomes an important plot point later in the arc.
- Dante taking notice of Lady's counterpart still going by 'Mary' sets up her Dark and Troubled Past, which becomes relevant in the next arc.
- Imagine Spot: The group has several imagining what Erza's Alternate Self is like.
- Natsu thinks she is pushover that he can berate for a change.
- Happy thinks she will be a loyal minion he can command.
- Wendy thinks she will be a Team Mom who will bake plenty of treats to spoil her with.
- Dante imagines her as a devoted servant of Mundus, which disturbs the others.
- The Lost Lenore: Lisanna is this to Natsu, with the sight of her causing flashbacks to their childhood, and triggering a very emotional reaction from him.
- Mr. Fanservice: Lucy Ashley apparently considers Dante this, referring to him as "pretty boy".
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business:
- The behaviour of the various members of Fairy Tail is what tips the group off that something isn't right. Dante especially is suspicious by Lady going by Mary.
- The typically Hot-Blooded Natsu's reaction to seeing Lisanna alive is to stare in shock.
- Point of Divergence:
- Instead of Sugarboy, it is Nelo Angelo who stalks Edolas Fairy Tail along with Erza Knightwalker.
- Natsu's emotional reaction to seeing Lisanna again is stopped by Dante rather than Lucy Ashley, in a much gentler fashion to boot.
- Power Gives You Wings: Nelo Angelo displays the ability to manifest eagle wings.
- Seen It All: As everything in the Edolas Fairy Tail guild hall starts to float in preparation for teleporting, an unfazed Dante remarks this isn't the strangest thing to happen to him.
- Suddenly Shouting: Natsu when Edolas Fairy Tail starts to teleport.Natsu: WHY IS EVERYTHING FLOATING!?
- Sword Pointing: Dante does this to Lucy Ashley with Rebellion to make her concede defeat.
- Team Mom: Erza's status as this is lampshaded by Wendy admitting she sees her as such.
- Tough Love: Dante prevents Natsu from greeting the living Lisanna, though he makes sure to give him a minute to process the shock.
- Weaksauce Weakness: Natsu's motion sickness once again rears its head when the process of teleporting apparently manages to set it off.
- Wham Line: That the Edolas version of Erza is called Erza Knightwalker, and is known as the Fairy Hunter due to being an enemy of Fairy Tail.
- Would Hit a Girl: Dante admits he prefers not to fight girls, but has no issues doing so to Lucy Ashley, noting she had it coming.
