
Manglobe, founded in 2002 by former Sunrise producers Shinichirō Kobayashi and Takashi Kochiyama, was one of the first major anime studios established in the 21st century. Unfortunately, despite creating acclaimed series such as Samurai Champloo, Ergo Proxy, and the adaptation of Deadman Wonderland, it was also one of the first to go out of business; it filed for bankruptcy on 30 September 2015.
