Rayman's Friends
Betina
Voiced by: Carolyn Lawrence (episodes 1 and 2), Lacey Chabert (episode 3), Kath Soucie (episode 4)
- Ambiguously Human: Betina heavily resembles a stylized human, but it's never confirmed if she actually is one.
- Composite Character: Appears to be a combination of Betilla and Ly, sharing red hair and a similar name to the former and similar proportions to the latter, on top of being Rayman's main female companion like both of them.
- The Lancer: The second-in-command for the group, often bantering with Rayman and snarking about the bizarre circumstances they get into.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Being Rayman's main female companion, Betina fills the same role in the series that Betilla and Ly did in the games.
Lac-Mac
Voiced by: Danny Mann
- The Big Guy: The strongest of the group, Lac-Mac can bend steel bars and lift heavy objects.
- Blue Is Heroic: A blue-furred creature who's firmly on the side of the heroes.
- Cartoon Creature: Exactly what Lac-Mac actually is was a frequent debate. He has long, vaguely rabbit-like ears, can hop like a kangaroo, and is freakishly strong, but there is otherwise no indication towards any specific species, this also comes from being labeled as a "tall mysterious creature that resembles some sort of rabbit".
- Drives Like Crazy: Rayman and Betina agree not to let Lac-Mac drive for this reason: the one time he actually does, he causes the team's car to swerve wildly before Rayman regains control of it when he noticed Inspector Grub before everyone else did because of wanting to help. He also nearly got the team killed by driving a steamroller off the edge of the scrapyard by mistake.
- Dumb Muscle: Strong enough to bend steel bars, but Hulk Speaks by dialog and didn't think to bend the bars for his cage until Rayman told him to.
- Genius Ditz: He may be a thoroughly well-mannered and slightly simple-minded fool, he was shown to be somewhat talented and hugely praised for the acts he does in the circus.
- Lac-Mac also saved Rayman and company when Inspector Grub caught them and scared Grub by briefly chasing him with a steamroller.
- Gonk: Lac-Mac looking like a stupid yet deformed rabbit shows this in him a lot.
- Kindhearted Simpleton: Not too bright, but a thoroughly kind, open-hearted, and loyal soul nonetheless.
- Simpleton Voice: He has the dialect of the typical Dumb Muscle, thanks to how he is Hulk Speaking.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Appears to be one for the absent Globox, being a strong yet dumb, primarily blue-and-white creature who happens to be a friend of Rayman.
- Third-Person Person: Lac-Mac always refers to himself in the third person.
Cookie
Voiced by: Carlos Alazraqui
- Butt-Monkey: Often suffers comedic abuse as a result of his constant complaining.
- The Complainer Is Always Wrong: Played straight. He complains about practically everything and is often shown to be wrong for it by dint of receiving frequent slapstick and misfortune.
- Gadgeteer Genius: Cookie is smart enough to fix a car that another mechanic failed to for years on end and build a periscope to look into Grub's apartment.
- Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: He wears green checkered overalls without a shirt.
- Hypochondria: Cookie always complains about having some sort of ailment, to which Betina lampshades that there's always something wrong with him. It gets to the point where, in the episode "High Anxiety", he's mistaken for being too paranoid and is sent to an asylum. At first Betina thinks it's for his own good, but Rayman points out that if he's stuck in the asylum for too long, he might actually think he's insane seeing that he's big on suggestion.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Cookie is extremely pernickety and whiny, but he still cares for his friends regardless of that.
- The Smart Guy: Cookie is the smartest of the group, often using his intellect to point out the flaws in his teammates' plans.
Flips
- The Cutie: A cute, child-like little fairy who means no harm.
- Fairy Companion: A small fairy who tags along with the group during their escape from Rigatoni's circus.
- The Heart: The cutest of the group, Flips often kept their spirits up during their imprisonment in Rigatoni's circus.
- The Speechless: Doesn't say a word during the series' run, only communicating through squeaking.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Appears to be one for Murfy in that they're both Fairy Companions.
- Tagalong Kid: Flips is the only child in the group, as Rayman, Betina, Lac-Mac, and Cookie are all adults.
- Undying Loyalty: To Betina, Lac-Mac and Cookie. Flips easily could have escaped from the circus on her own, but chose to stay because she didn't want to leave her friends behind.
Antagonists
Rigatoni
Voiced by: Danny Mann
- Big Bad: Of the series. Although he only appeared in one episode, he was the one who imprisoned Rayman and his friends, to begin with and is also the one who sent Inspector Grub to get them back.
- Karma Houdini: Due to the series' cancellation, he suffers no consequences for imprisoning innocent people in his circus.
- Repulsive Ringmaster: He has no qualms about kidnapping random people to perform in his Circus of Fear.
Inspector Grub
Voiced by: Billy West
- Born Unlucky: When he mentioned this in the episode "Big Date", he refers this to his date when he accidentally made her fall, and this also explains why he suffers a lot.
- The Chew Toy: Has his car destroyed, suffers constant injuries, and once got mistaken for an escaped mental patient.
- Hero Antagonist: Although he's trying to arrest Rayman and his friends, he genuinely seems to believe they're wanted criminals and is just only doing his job.
- Inspector Javert: Constantly tries to arrest the gang despite their only "crime" is trying to escape Rigatoni's Circus of Fear, but only because it's his job and he seems to believe they're actually criminals.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Despite his constant stream of failures, Grub ultimately succeeds in getting himself a girlfriend in "Big Date" thanks to Rayman.
