Main installments:

    Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
  • Nagito's voice actors in both the Japanese and English versions also voiced Makoto from the previous game. It falls into this trope when Makoto shows up.
  • There's also Akira Ishida and Jason Wishnov, who both voiced Byakuya in the previous game and again here. It falls into this trope, considering that the first Byakuya we meet here is an impostor, and the real one shows up later.

    Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony
  • In the English dub, every single voice actor has previously done work in the Danganronpa series. It comes to play in this entry due to the Mastermind cosplaying the previous entries' characters, down to their complete physical appearances and voices. The main cast includes:
    • Erika Harlacher voices Kaede Akamatsu, and previously voiced Kyoko Kirigiri.

    • Christine Marie Cabanos voices Himiko Yumeno, and previously voiced Chiaki Nanami.

    • This also extends to the Monokubs, who are voiced by Sean Chiplock (Monotaro, previously voiced Kiyotaka Ishimaru), Patrick Seitz (Monokid, previously voiced Nekomaru Nidai), Brian Beacock (Monosuke, also voiced Monokuma in all of his game appearances), Natalie Hoover (Monophanie, previously voiced Sonia Nevermind), and Jason Wishnov (Monodam, previously voiced Byakuya Togami)
