I could have put Quiet Sun for Q, but considering they only had one album, it didn't feel right. Same with Quatermass.
Suzi Quatro is another possibility for Q.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!There are no Q, X, or Z artists in country music that I know of, so I'm screwed.
Seems like with country it's always just the singer's name and nothing else, from what little I know of the genre.
I'm surprised more people aren't having problems with Z, though people have been bending the rules with Frank Zappa to get by, lol. Besides Zombie Girl the only other Z band I've heard of is ZZ Top, and I'm not into them.
My tropes launched: https://surenity2.blogspot.com/2021/02/my-tropes-on-tv-tropes.htmlWell, let's see...

Some folks on the Internet think they're a special GIFT to the world, and others aren't. In this perspective, they're kind of right.(Preparing myself for the "wtf are you on? Comments. I'm gonna try to name the most random bands I like just to see what y'all think.)
- AFI, Adele, Avril Lavigne (if girlfriend wasn't one of your favorite songs at some point.... I pity you.)
- Disney
- Evanescence
- In this Moment
- Mumford & Sons, My Chemical Romance,
- Nightwish
- Panic! At the Disco
- Silversun Pickups
- Tarja Turjen
- Within Temptation

To each their own I guess. But is Disney a band? XD
My tropes launched: https://surenity2.blogspot.com/2021/02/my-tropes-on-tv-tropes.htmlI love their movie soundtracks. Lol, I could probably add more if I counted what was already on the pages I read, but I felt like being random today.
I can think of a few non-Queen/QOTSA bands or artists that start with Q, though most of them are at least semi-obscure: Queen Latifah, The Queers, Quarterflash, and Quicksand...Oh, and if I had wanted to be vain about it, I could have used my own solo project, Quetzalcoatlus.
Okay... here goes:
- Amon Amarth
- Blind Guardian
- Communic
- Dragonland
- Ensiferum
- Fates Warning
- Gorgoroth
- Hammer Fall
- Ingermanland
- Jethro Tull (Only thing I could think of)
- Kamelot
- Nothing, sorry
- Metallica (I don't really like them, just couldn't think of anything for M))
- Northland
- Opeth
- Pig Destroyer (All I could have think of)
- Quorthon (Suck it Queen)
- Rhapsody Of Fire
- Stormwarrior
- Tom Waits
- Uriah Heep
- Voltaire
- Winterstorm
- X Japan
- Yes
- Zyklon (Samoth's band before Emperor)

And no you don't have to point out to me of there being both X-102 AND Underground Resistance AND Jeff Mills AND Robert Hood. Because U and X were already hard to find as is. For the sake of variety you can pretend that J is Jon Hassell and H is Hype Williams (the band not the dude who makes videos).
You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.A: Alex Winston (Host, Sister Wife)
B: Black Belles (Wishing Well, Howl At the Moon . . . and Charlene (I'm Right Behind You))
C: Camera Obscura (Honey In the Sun, The Sweetest Thing, Lloyd, I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken)
D: Detroit Cobras (Putty, Heartbeat)
E: Eleanor Friedberger (When I Knew, Stare At the Sun)
F: Florence and the Machine (You've Got the Love, Dog Days)
G: Gold Motel (Brand New Kind of Blue, We're On the Run)
H: Heartless Bastards, my absolute favourite band (Marathon, Down In the Canyon, The Mountain, Swamp Song, All This Time, Screw it, a two-hour concert they did last year, because they are so amazing and I love them)
I: Indelicates (Sixteen, Be Afraid of Your Parents)
J: Jon Fratelli (Santo Domingo, Tell Me Honey) - This also goes for his other projects, the Fratellis and Codeine Velvet Club
K: Kate Nash (Merry Happy, Foundations, We Get On)
L: Long Blondes (You Could Have Both, Once and Never Again, A Knife for the Girls); but I actually also need to mention Lemuria, Lisa Mitchell and Lucky Soul
M: Morningwood (Nth Degree, How You Know It's Love)

O: Operator Please (Two For My Seconds, Zero! Zero!)
P: Portugal. The Man (When the War Ends, So American, Evil Friends)
Q: Queen, I guess

U: Uh Huh Her (Not A Love Song)

Y: Yeah Yeah Yeahs (Maps, Mystery Girl)
Z: Zutons (Valerie, Oh Stacey)
The Toughest letters were L (I knew I wanted to go with the Long Blondes, but there's a lot of other cool bands with L), and P.

X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.
Queen is probably my favorite Q band, but it's not a letter of music I actively seek out.
I'm not very qualified to talk about the Q scene.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova Scotian
