Those Obnoxious Ghosts is a Danny Phantom/Urusei Yatsura crossover collaboration fanfic written by both NeoMark and Flower princess11.The rewritted version by Flower princess11 you can find here.

Danny Fenton is chosen to save the world from invaders. Unfortunately for him, it's not his opponent's powers that worry him... it's when she declares she wishes to be his wife that horrifies him.

This story has examples of:

  • Abhorrent Admirer:
    • Lum may be attractive, but she's a handful for Danny.
    • As in canon, Rei is one for Lum on the other hand.
  • Accidental Proposal: Just like in her original series, Lum misunderstands what her opponent meant about marriage after the tag race, assumes he's talking about marrying her, falls in love with him, and accepts his "proposal".
  • Achilles' Heel: Extreme cold is this to Ten since Danny can use his ice powers to counter his fire breath.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Ten is much nicer in this fic than he is canon, as he comes to like Danny and is trying to hook him up with Lum. Somewhat justified as Ten comes to admire Danny for saving his life and in turn, Danny is MUCH more patient with him than Ataru was in canon.
  • Adorably Precocious Child: Ten is considered cute because he's acting more rational than a 2-year-old human kid.
  • Adults Are Useless:
  • Affectionate Nickname: Lum likes to call Danny “darling”. Not that he’s the least bit flattered.
  • Alien Invasion: Just like the anime, the Oni's come to invade Earth, select a random citizen to compete against Lum, with the freedom of Earth at stake. The difference here is that Danny is chosen in place of Ataru.
  • Alien Princess: Lum is the princess of planet Oni.
  • Aliens Speaking English: Lum and her father both seem to understand American English quite well.
  • The All-Solving Hammer: Lum's species' solution to all problems is violence (usually with superpowers). Danny is angered by that and forbids Lum to do so.
  • Animal Lover:
    • Sam deeply cares about animals as she protects the swallow/penguin from the Casper High population, stops Ten from mutating the swallow’s chicks, and rescues the misplaced penguins.
    • Ten loves animals and feels bad for turning the swallow into a penguin.
  • Awful Wedded Life: While they aren't actually married, Lum causes nothing by trouble for Danny.
  • Babysitter from Hell: Justified and Played for Drama. Because of Deliberate Values Dissonance and Lum's selfishness, Lum left Ten alone and he mutated a swallow because of his naiveté. When this is brought out, she started to acquire herself and even blames Ten for that. She gets a double scolding for that.
  • Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Subverted. Rei becomes more dirty and unsightly after his fight with Danny leaves him bruised and filthy.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: While Ten was originally hostile to Danny because he didn't see him as good enough for Lum, he becomes a huge fan of the Ghost Boy after being rescued from Skulker by him.
  • Betty and Veronica: Lum plays the Veronica to Sam's Betty for Danny's Archie.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Like in canon, Rei transforms into a tiger-cow hybrid monster when he's pissed off. Danny fight him with all power and he is still able to standing.
  • Big Bad: Vlad has plans to take over the Oni.
  • Big Eater: Rei has a huge appetite, which disgusts Lum.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Danny was very protective of Jazz when Rei grabbed her.
  • Big Sister Instinct:
    • Lum is very protective of Ten.
    • Jazz stops liking Rei after he attacks Danny.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Ten behaves himself around girls and Lum but when he’s alone with Danny, he shows how much of a brat he is by insulting him and saying he’s not good enough for Lum. Sam instantly dislikes Ten since she can see him as this due to her experiences with babysitting her Spoiled Brat cousins.
  • Blackmail: Lum figures out that Danny doesn't want anyone to know about his powers, so she uses that to force him to let her stay with him on Earth.
  • "Blackmail" Is Such an Ugly Word: When Lum makes her threat to blackmail him with his secret, Danny calls her out on it but Lum prefers to call it an "agreement".
  • Blatant Lies: Lum lies about being pregnant with Danny's child as a means of getting Rei to leave. It doesn't work due to Sam spilling the beans, though Rei believed it enough to attack Danny.
  • Boisterous Weakling: Ten talks a big game but his fire breath is no match for Danny's ice powers or Skulker's tech.
  • Brainless Beauty: Rei is a Rare Male Example. This is the main reason why Lum refuses to get back together with him because he doesn’t think about anything but eating.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Ten.
  • Breath Weapon: Ten breathes fire and uses it as a weapon.
  • Brutal Honesty: Sam immediately voices her dislike of Ten and calls him out on the Spoiled Brat he is.
  • Bullying a Dragon: Since Danny is far more capable fighter than Ataru and with superpowers, it was only a matter of time before Lum's blackmail and self-centeredness pushed him too far.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: Sam is still in denial about her feelings for Danny.
  • Character Catchphrase: Ten likes to say "I'm a good boy!"
  • Children Are Innocent: Zigzagged with Ten. Aside from picking fights with Danny and his not-so-innocent attraction towards women, Ten causes problems left and right due to a naïve understanding of how the world works, including the consequences of his actions, rather than out of malevolence. When encountering something strange, he usually displays curiosity and observance rather than arrogance. The downside of this is that he's so gullible he can be easily fooled and too reckless to think his actions through. All in all, Ten's character embodies the feeling you have when little kids unknowingly mess with your precious stuff.
  • Child by Rape: Brought up by Sam, fearing Lum might have forced herself on Danny to have a child.
  • Child Prodigy: Ten is 2 years old but is considered very smart for his age, even by Oni standards.
  • Clark Kenting: Lum is only needed to hide her horns, make her hair a darker shade and put some decent clothes and nobody recognizes her except main heroes. Then again, the inhabitants of Amity Park think that Danny Phantom and Danny Fenton are the two different people with the same differences as Lum plus different eye colours so...
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Lum, just like in canon. While only Danny’s self-proclaimed wife, she blackmails him into letting her stay with him and acts very clingy and controlling, electrocuting Danny whenever he displeases her (or just by accident) and threatening to punish him whenever he spends time with other girls, especially Sam.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Danny and Jazz have no problem trapping Skulker in the Fenton Thermos after Lum zaps him.
  • Composite Character:
    • Mr Lancer is a combination of his canon self and teachers from Urusei Yatsura.
    • Sam is a combination of her canon self and Shinobu, Lum's rival from her canon series.
  • Cool Big Sis:
    • Jazz is one to Danny, just like in canon.
    • Ten sees Lum as this.
  • Covered in Kisses: Danny is briefly de-powered, so Lum pins him down, applies a fresh coat of lipstick, and the rest writes itself.
  • Cover Innocent Eyes and Ears: Both Danny and later Jazz cover Ten's ears before Lum can say anything inappropriate around him.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy:
    • Rei is Lum's ex-fiancé and he wants her back. He is also jealous that she picked Danny over him.
    • The boys of Casper High are jealous of Danny for having the interest of a pretty girl like Lynn U. Mc Vader (Lum).
  • Crocodile Tears: Ten sheds these whenever he’s throwing a tantrum to get a girl to “rescue” him.
  • Curse Cut Short: In chapter 13, Sam said to Lum that "she's such a pain in the ..." until she got interrupted by Danny.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Lum is a pretty alien princess with lightning powers.
  • Darker and Edgier: Since Danny Phantom is more realistically to Earth than Urusei Yatsura, it's given.
  • Denser and Wackier: Danny Phantom is an already Affectionate Parody to the The Silver Age of Comic Books but mix it with a gag manga like Urusei Yatsura and it'll be the biggest Mind Screw for all characters and the biggest pack of nonsense to readers and characters alike.
  • Deliberately Cute Child: Ten tried to impress Sam by playing the victim. Sam didn't buy it because she has similarly Spoiled Brat-type cousins. Danny didn't buy it either.
  • Description Cut: When someone of the main character said who would do some stupid thing (canon thing in Urusei Yatsura), it goes to the canon human main heroes of anime who sneeze, wake up, etc.
  • Defrosting Ice King: Ten warms up to Danny after he rescues him from Skulker and tries to help him get together with Lum.
  • Demoted to Extra: Most of the Urusei Yatsura characters, namely Ataru, only briefly appear in a few chapters during the Description Cut.
  • The Determinator: Danny refuses to give up in the tag race no matter how many times Lum zaps him. This greatly impresses her, especially when Danny beats her.
  • Dirty Kid: Danny is left understandably disturbed when Ten has these moments.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Shinobu Miyake responds to Ataru’s lechery by clobbering him, usually with a large wooden mallet.
  • Double Standard: Abuse, Female on Male: Averted. Lum's behavior is treated with annoyance by Danny and his friends, and Danny is perfectly willing to use violence to ward her off.
  • Dramatically Missing the Point: Danny assumes that Lum broke up with Rei because he Really Gets Around before she told him it's completely the opposite; because he's a dumb pig.
  • Dramatic Irony: Ataru, the main character of Urusei Yatsura, watches the tag battle on television and wishes he were the one Lum was facing.
  • Dude Magnet: Lum. The men who doesn't want her company are ghosts and Danny.
  • Dumb Muscle: Rei becomes this when in his cow-tiger form.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Rei appears briefly in chapter 11 "Ten's Decision", before he officially makes his debut in chapter 15.
  • Enraged by Idiocy: Lance Thunder is frustrated by Lum and Ten's antics (he facepalmed at the news of "Pengdemic").
  • Entitled to Have You: This is an accurate summation of Lum's feelings for Danny as she's very possessive of him, is hostile to any girl that gets close to him, and refuses to listen when he tells her he's not interested in her.
  • Everyone Can See It: Lum can quickly tell Sam is in love with Danny. Her jealousy and overprotective attitude towards him sure were a dead giveaway.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • No matter how much Danny hates Dash, he wouldn't let anyone cripple or killing him (although begrudgingly).
    • Lum also refuses to go back to her ex-boyfriend because he's an airhead Big Eater.
    • Despite being briefly smitten with his good-looks, Jazz stops liking Rei because he tried to attack Danny and nearly destroyed her house when he transformed to his beast form.
    • Although Ten wants Danny and Lum to be happy, he does not agree with Lum's decision to lie that she's pregnant with Danny's child.
    • Danny doesn't show the anger he has for Lum towards Ten, allowing the alien child to still visit him.
    • Sam, upon assaulting Lum, doesn't aim for her stomach, not wanting to harm her (fake) child since it's still Danny's.
    • As bratty and annoying Ten is, Danny tries to be patient with him and only uses his powers in self-defense when the Oni child uses his fire breath on the ghost boy.
    • While Danny doesn’t like Ten and knows Sam isn’t a people person, he still felt her harsh treatment of him was unnecessary since he’s just a baby.
    • As angry as Ten is at Danny, he would prefer not to burn the latter’s house down when he’s attacking him with his fire breath.
    • While Ten has a low opinion of Danny in the beginning, he doesn’t believe he’d resort to a stupid and despicably underhanded tactic to beat Lum in the tag race like use some sort of weapon to take Lum’s bikini top off and grab her horns while she’s distracted.
    • Tucker finds Ten annoying but makes an effort to be nice to the alien infant.
    • Ten grows to appreciate Danny for saving him from Skulker.
    • After being saved by Danny, Ten eventually understands why Lum lost interest in Rei despite him being a handsome Oni warrior since he’s a gluttonous Pretty Boy who cares more about food than people.
    • Even Tucker loses interest in Lum after getting tired of her troublesome antics.
    • Team Phantom agrees that Ten is a brat but don't feel that he deserves to be Skulker's prisoner, especially since he's a baby.
    • Team Phantom doesn't blame Ten for the pengdemic incident since it was mainly caused by Lum's irresponsibility and careless babysitting of him.
    • Sam doesn't like Ten but she still doesn't want him to listen to anything inappropriate, like Lum talking about getting impregnated by Danny.
    • While Ten wants Lum and Danny to be together, he won't try to force them into it.
    • Jack and Maddie try to interfere in the tag race when Lum starts electrocuting Danny because their son’s wellbeing means more to them than some stupid game even if Earth’s fate is on the line.
    • As annoying as Lum and Ten are, Team Phantom sympathizes with the former when Skulker kidnaps the latter since she’s very worried about her infant cousin.
    • Jack and Maddie are nice people but they understandably dislike Lum for electrocuting Danny during the tag race and have been developing countermeasures for her in case she returns.
  • Evil Is Petty:
    • Vlad doesn’t waste any time mocking Danny for his failure to beat Lum in the tag race for the first few days. Danny calls him out on this by pointing out if he loses the Oni take over Earth where Vlad lives, Vlad isn’t worried since he figures he can just overshadow the Oni leader, much to Danny’s indifference since he’s used to Vlad’s power-hungry nature.
    • Vlad gets a kick out of seeing Lum make Danny miserable and plans to keep her around so she can continue doing so.
  • Eviler than Thou: Played for Drama and Played With. Lum's antics convinced Sam that even Paulina is better and has a better shot with Danny than her.
  • Exact Words: Rei challenges Danny to a fight akin to sum wrestling, where he can't use flight or intangibility. Danny does so... and uses other powers to his advantage.
  • The Fake Cutie: Because of his Deliberately Cute Child act, women tend to find Ten adorable and are protective of him. He uses his cuteness to get close to girls, but he shows his true (and bratty) colors when he's around men.
  • Forceful Kiss: Lum gives TWO of them to Danny after she blackmails him into letting her stay with him. Danny wasn't exactly pleased.
  • Foil: Ataru (Lums “husband” and the guy who participated in the tag game in cannon) to Danny. Both are teenagers who unwillingly participated in the tag game in their respective timelines, got little-to-no appreciating from the rest of the world after winning, and unwillingly got Lums love and went though a lot of trouble because of it. However…
    • Ataru is older than Danny but also selfish, a sleaze ball and immature. Danny is younger, a selfless hero and quite mature for his age (atleast in this fanfic).
    • Ataru grows to love Lum back but Danny only grows to hate her more (though this could change later).
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: No one in Team Phantom likes Lum because of all the trouble she and her people have caused them; they only tolerate her because she's blackmailing Danny into letting her stay with him. Tucker does find her attractive, though, not that she notices, but even he has his limits with her and is so disgusted by Lum's behavior that he starts to lose his attraction to her.
  • Friend to All Living Things:
    • Sam is very protective of animals as she saves the swallow/penguin from the Casper High population and stops Ten from mutating the swallow's chicks.
    • While he can be a brat, Ten has a soft spot for animals as well and feels terrible for turning the swallow into a penguin.
  • From Bad to Worse: Defied by Danny and Sam. Like in canon, Ten decided to make swallow's chicks bigger too but immediately idea was declined for being dangerous and stupid.
  • Forgot About His Powers:
    • Technus and Skulker get electrocuted by Lum upon first meeting her cause they don't think about going intangible at the time.
    • The Box Ghost doesn't have time to go intangible when Ten burns him with his fire breath.
  • Fur Bikini: Lum has a tiger-striped one, just like in canon.
  • Hidden Depths: Lum might be a Spoiled Brat but she values more than looks in a guy since she rejected Rei for being gluttonous Brainless Beauty.
  • Good Is Not Nice: Finally fed up with her, Danny makes it very clear to Lum he's more powerful than her and can easily do serious harm to her if she doesn't leave him alone.
  • Grew a Spine: Zig-zagged. It's not that Danny is submissive towards Lum and is unwilling to kick her out of his life; it's just that Lum is blackmailing him with his secret identity, so he doesn't have much choice. However, Danny eventually reaches his breaking point with Lum when she lies to her ex-boyfriend Rei that she is pregnant, causing him to attack Danny and almost destroy his house. After winning the fight, Danny finally spells out to Lum, in explicit detail, that he doesn't love her, he never will, and that he wants her out of his life. When she threatens to expose his secret identity, he tells her that he doesn't care anymore and violently kicks her out of his house.
  • Hate at First Sight:
    • Sam didn’t like Lum in the beginning because her people threatened to conquer Earth but came to despise her when she forced herself into Danny’s life by deluding herself into believing they’re married. The feeling is mutual since Lum sees Sam as a rival for Danny’s affections.
    • Sam immediately makes it clear she doesn’t like Ten because of his bratty demeanor and the fact she doesn’t trust anyone related to Lum.
  • Head-Turning Beauty: Lum is a Dude Magnet to every boy in Amity Park (except Danny).
  • Hero with an F in Good: Every time Lum and Ten tried to help, it's only made things worse. Deconstructed; Ten gets off scot-free because he done it purely out of naiveté and ignorance (he's 2 years old, after all), while for Lum, it actually ruined her relationship with Danny as for him, it's the last straw.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Unlike with Ataru in his canon series, Ten starts to look up to Danny after he saves his life and sees him as a great warrior.
  • Hopeless Suitor:
    • Lum's clingy behavior just makes Danny want to avoid her.
    • Ten has a big crush on Jazz, but she just regards him as a cute baby.
    • Lum wants nothing to do with Rei for being a dimwitted glutton.
  • Human Alien: Lum.
  • Humans Are Morons: With the exceptions of the Fentons, Sam, Tucker, Lance Thunder, and Danny's enemies, all humans are 100% dumbasses and jerkasses.
  • Hypocrisy Nod: Played for Laughs. When Danny asked why Lum used anagram of her name as pseudonym, she replied it will work if "Danny Phantom" works. Danny begrudgingly admitted that she has a point.
  • Hypocrite Has a Point: Played for Laughs. See Hypocritical Humor.
    • While Lum has no room to criticize, she is right about Sam being a “jealous shrew”.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Danny was shocked that Lum's cover name is "Lynn U. McVader". When he asked her about that, she replied that it will be suitable if Danny Fentom's superhero name is "Danny Phantom". Danny begrudgingly admitted to himself that she has a point.
  • I Coulda Been a Contender!: Lance Thunder regrets the he didn't take the job in Vegas when he's forced to report about the penguin invasion.
  • Indifferent Beauty: Lum isn’t aware that boys are drawn to her for her good looks.
  • Insane Troll Logic: Lum thinks Danny was proposing to her just because she overheard him talking about marriage and that he finds her super hot. Danny is understandably completely baffled that she made such a big misunderstanding. Even when he tries to tell Lum that he wasn't proposing to her and it was a misunderstanding, she refuses to listen and insists that the two of them are married now, much to Danny's horror.
  • Interspecies Romance: Lum, a Human Alien, falls in love with Danny, a human-ghost hybrid.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Ten is a Spoiled Brat with a short fuse, but he genuinely loves his family, warms up to Danny after being saved by him, and didn't mean to turn the swallow into a Penguin.
  • Jerkass Has a Point:
    • Lum points out to Danny that he would've beaten her in the tag race on the first day if he used his powers.
    • Sam is right about Ten being a brat.
    • Sam has every right to oppose Ten's plan to feed alien candy to the chicks of the swallow/penguin since there's a risk it'll turn them into giant monsters.
    • Jazz admits that Sam has a right to be annoyed with Lum since her people threatened to take over Earth and she basically forced herself into Danny's life despite promising to leave the planet after he beat her in the tag game.
    • Danny is right to oppose Ten’s stay on Earth since he’s an infant without any parental supervision who might need to attend school and Lum quickly proves to be an incompetent babysitter since her careless handling of Ten is responsible for the pengdemic incident because she left Ten alone and out of her sight.
  • KidAnova: Ten flirts with every girl he sees. However, Ten is still essentially a child and quite naïve; he is usually cute and diminutive around women.
  • Lampshade Hanging: Danny thought that he's in romcom coming wrong after the entire history with Lum.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: When Ten tries to use his fire breath on Danny, he responds by freezing Ten's mouth.
  • Lethal Chef: Just like in canon, Lum's cooking doesn't sit well with earthlings.
  • Likes Older Women: Ten likes to flirt with older women.
  • Mama Bear: Maddie is willing to interfere in the tag race when Lum starts electrocuting Danny until government agents stop them. She and Jack bear a grudge against the Oni girl for hurting Danny and even develop gadgets against her just in case she returns to Earth.
  • Monster Roommate: Lum blackmails Danny into letting her live with him in his room. Ten soon joins in as well.
  • Mythology Gag: Tucker's obsession with meat and Sam being a Soapbox Sadie is brought up in chapters 12 and 13.
  • Never My Fault: Played for Drama. Lum is making Danny's life miserable and whatever trouble she caused, she's still insisting she's innocent and trying to blame others. The first time it takes a big scolding from Danny and Sam to her to admit that It's All Her Fault. The second time it happened was the straw that broke the camel's back for Danny.
  • No Guy Wants to Be Chased: Lum's aggressive advances aggravate Danny to no end. This is mainly because she thinks that Danny proposed to her when he didn't; she blackmailed him into accepting her in his life. She has no consideration for how her behavior affects him and his friends
  • No Sense of Personal Space: Lum always tries to give Danny hugs and kisses without his consent. He has to turn intangible just to avoid her.
  • Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond: Lum's threats and abuse are worked in Urusei Yatsura only because her targets (mainly humans, especially Ataru) are below average by human standards who don't have powers and experience to fight back (and most alien antagonists are either Harmless Villains or Unskilled, but Strong). Danny at this moment is Strong and Skilled and easily dispatched her. Lum managed to defeat ghosts because they've momentarily forgot about their powers out of confusion of seeing her. Without this advantage, she's a helpless sitting duck.
  • Not Afraid of You Anymore: Lum's actions have made it so her threat to expose Danny's secret doesn't work anymore, as he's too frustrated to care.
  • Not Distracted by the Sexy:
    • Ghosts are completely apathetic to Lum's looks and just see her another enemy (Skulker, Box Ghost and Technus at least).
    • After Rei tried to kill Danny, Jazz and Sam completely lost their interest to him and just want him to leave.
  • Not So Above It All: Both Jazz and Sam can't help but admire how handsome Rei is. Well, at least until he transformed, went on a rampage and tried to kill Danny.
  • Not Goodwith Rejection:
    • Ten throws a tantrum, like any 2-year-old does, when Sam rejects him.
    • Lum still refuses to leave Danny alone even when he makes it crystal clear he doesn’t want anything to do with her.
    • Rei goes on a rampage in his cow-tiger form when Lum makes it clear she prefers Danny over him.
  • Nobody's That Dumb: Ten doesn’t believe anyone would be dumb enough to try winning a tag race with Lum by using some sort of weapon to steal Lum’s bikini top off and grab her horns while she’s distracted. He’s unaware that Ataru Moroboshi IS dumb enough to try something like that.
  • Obliviousto Love: Lum is unaware of Tucker's crush on her and just sees him as Danny's male friend.
  • Only Sane Man: The weatherman Lance Thurder is the only one who is sane and not consumed by fear on probably the entire planet. He thinks that banishing the Fentons if Danny loses the tag race is Misplaced and Disproportionate Retribution, and was horrified by this decision. He's also the only human of Amity Park (except Danny and his family and friends) who acts realistically to the penguin invasion and so on.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Danny was shocked when Jazz acted like a lovesick fool with Rei (even Johnny 13 with mind-control couldn't do that).
  • Papa Wolf: Jack is willing to interfere in the tag race when Lum starts electrocuting Danny until government agents stop them. He and Maddie bear a grudge against the Oni girl for hurting Danny and even develop gadgets against her in case she returns to Earth.
  • Parental Substitute: Lum is the closest thing Ten has to a parent on Earth since she looks after him.
  • Pet the Dog: Sam comes to Rei's defense when she thinks he's crying because Lum was insulting him.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Ten can burn the Box Ghost with his fire breath.
  • The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: Discussed; Lance Thunder complained that he has to do everything but weather reports, his actual job.
  • Pity the Kidnapper: Skulker makes it clear that Ten's whining and brattiness is getting on his nerves while holding him prisoner.
  • Playing Hardto Get: Lum thinks Danny is just being shy whenever he avoids her advances.
  • Precocious Crush: Ten tends to have one on any pretty girl he meets.
  • Properly Paranoid:
    • Team Phantom thinks Lum is more dangerous than her cute appearance would indicate. They're proven correct when she reveals she has flight and electricity powers during the tag race.
    • Jack and Maddie have been using their inventing expertise to build countermeasures for the Oni in case they come back to Earth.
  • Puny Earthlings: Oni don’t think highly of humans since they regard them as pretty weak and ignorant. Lum and Ten are understandably surprised an earthling like Danny has powers.
  • Rage Breaking Point: After Lum lies about him getting her pregnant to get her ex to leave, which only made Rei more eager to fight for her, Danny loses it and shoots a blast at Lum. It doesn't hurt her, but he makes it clear he no longer cares and will not hold back again, even if she brings her planet's fleet or exposes him, as he just wants her out of his life.
  • Schmuck Bait: When Ten saw a trail of candy, his first thought is that it's a trap. But he dismissed it because he was hungry and eventually get caught by Skulker. Justified because Ten is two years old.
  • Seen It All: Lance Thunder is completely frustrated or apathetic when something strange happened in Amity Park (at least until he didn't become a target of it) because he's used to ghosts and the Fentons.
  • Self-Proclaimed Love Interest: Lum believes that Danny is her husband, despite the fact that he insists they are not married.
  • Shipper on Deck:
    • Ten is trying to get Lum and Danny together after warming up to Danny.
    • Lum's parents support her interest in Danny since they helped her get her passport to live on Earth with him and already think of Danny as their son-in-law.
  • Shipping Torpedo:
    • Nobody in Team Phantom thinks Lum is a good match for Danny because of how clingy and bratty she is most of the time.
    • Jack and Maddie can't stand Lum for zapping Danny during the tag race, so they predictably would disapprove of her wanting to date their son if they find out Luz thinks she married Danny.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Because Lum and Sam are both Clingy Jealous Girls when it comes to Danny, they're bickering and fighting for his attention practically every moment they're together.
  • Skewed Priorities:
    • When the Earth was about to get invaded, one geek was afraid that he wouldn't be able to buy the new comic books, earning strange glares from others.
    • Tucker's biggest concern about whole "Pengdemic" is meat.
Lum (confused): Humans each have such strange priorities... (Ten nodded at that.)
  • Smarter Than You Look: Lum is observant enough to deduce that Danny doesn't want humans to discover his ghost powers and uses them to blackmail him into letting her stay with him.
  • Smitten Teenage Girl: Lum becomes this to Danny after being impressed by his determination in their game of tag, much to his irritation since she won’t leave him alone.
  • Spoiled Brat:
    • Team Phantom, especially Sam, see Lum as this and rightly so because of her refusal to take “no” for an answer.
    • Team Phantom also regard Ten as this due to his rude attitude and throwing tantrums when he doesn’t get his way but are more tolerant of it since he’s an infant.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Lum becomes one towards Danny. In Danny's words, she's become "the fourth wheel".
  • Stalker without a Crush: Ten now wants to be Danny's sidekick (or at least official Tagalong Kid) so he often goes for Danny without permission and accompanies him, Lum and Co too.
  • Strawman News Media: Averted with weatherman Lance Thurder, who is very obviously horrified with entire world's decision to banish (or even lynch) the Fentons if Danny loses. Even more, he's being forced to play it straight by his bosses who force him to read the narrative they're trying to push.
  • Sue Donym: Lum Invader's Earth name is "Lynn U. McVader".
  • Tagalong Kid: Ten is obviously much younger than the rest of the cast.
  • Tamer and Chaster: Unlike other Flower princess11 fanfics, this fanfic completely lacks swears that are worse than Gosh Dang It to Heck! and Big, Stupid Doodoo-Head levels.
  • Taughtby Experience: Sam can quickly recognize Ten for the Spoiled Brat he is because she has cousins around his age that are just as bratty and troublesome as him.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: While Danny said, Oh, Crud!, his reaction when the mutated swallow ate all the meat in the school's meat locker and became even bigger is this.
  • Took A Levelin Kindness: Ten stops being a Bratty Half-Pint when Danny earns his respect by saving him from Skulker and grows to admire the ghost boy.
  • Too Much Alike: Both Sam and Lum are stubborn, jealous girls who have problems admitting their own flaws, mistakes, fallacies and wrongness, always want to make things their own way, impose their own ideas on others, and want to be the centre of Danny's attention. And this is why they can't get along.
  • Unskilled, but Strong:
    • Lum has powerful electrical attacks but it is her only means of defense and she’s no fighter.
    • Rei mostly relies on brute strength when in his cow-tiger form.
  • Unwanted Spouse: Lum becomes this towards Danny, who constantly rejects her advances.
  • Values Dissonance: Invoked. Danny forbids Lum from zapping people for any reason, which confuses her since that's a common way of handling problems in her home world.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Lum is always protects Danny from ghosts and A-listers.
  • Wasted Beauty:
    • Danny admits Lum is super hot but her clinginess, short-temper, lack of respect for his personal space, and tendency to zap (accidentally and on purpose) make him want nothing to do with her.
    • Even Tucker loses interest in Lum after all the trouble she's caused with the mutated swallow and her ex-boyfriend Rei going on a rampage.
    • Rei becomes this to Jazz after he attacks Danny and almost destroys her house in his beast form.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Danny and the others call Lum and Ten out for trying to mutate the swallows chicks to make them the same size as their mother.
  • Worthy Opponent:
    • Skulker sees Danny as his most elusive prey and respects him enough not to appreciate Ten calling him a coward.
    • Skulker also sees the Oni as potential prey because of their versatility and advance technology.
  • Would Hurt a Child:
    • Skulker has no problem kidnapping the infant Ten and putting him in an electrified cage or hunting him until he's of age.
    • Danny doesn’t want to hurt Ten but will use his powers in self-defense to stop the latter from frying him with his fire breath by freezing the Oni child’s mouth with cryokinesis.
  • Would Hit a Girl: After being pushed too far by Lum when she causes her ex-boyfriend Rei to go on a rampage, Danny blasts her with an ecto-ray to show he’s serious about his threat to force her out of his life.
  • Wouldn't Hit a Girl: As annoyed as he is by Lum’s stubbornness, Danny can’t bring himself to physically hurt Lum because she’s clearly no fighter. This goes out the window when he finally reaches his breaking point with her antics.
  • Would Rather Suffer: Danny starts enjoying when his enemies attack him, when Dash bullies him, when teachers are mean or when lessons are boring because it's the only moments when he maybe can be without Lum, Ten and madness caused by them.
  • Willfully Weak: Danny doesn't use his ghost powers in the tag race against Lum to avoid exposing his secret identity.
  • Wise Beyond His Years: Ten is more intelligent than most toddlers tend to be and can come off as more mature than his selfish and irresponsible cousin Lum.
  • Women Prefer Strong Men: Lum finds Danny much more fun to play with after learning about his powers.
  • Zerg Rush: Escaped penguins easily dispatched Lancer and A-listers and make a lot of problems for Amity Park.
