Main characters

    DrillGirl

Design: Robby
VA: Bryan

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/drillgirl.png
A perfect chair for DrillGirl, the REAL star of this show!
The main character of the show. DrillGirl has red hair drills and the ability to drill into the ground wherever she wants, and seems to think more highly of herself than most people think of her.
  • Fast Tunneling: Her main ability is to drill through the ground by rapidly spinning.
  • Hero of Another Story: Despite billing herself as the main character of the show, she usually only gets a single scene per episode, and those scenes usually imply that she's off doing something else during the events of each episode. In particular, she shows up at the very end of episode 3 to declare that she saved Santa Claus.
  • Noblewoman's Laugh: She does the standard high-pitched "Ohohoho!" laugh, complete with the classic "hand-in-front-of-face" pose in a few instances. Episode 3 lampshades the similarity to Santa's laugh by having her laugh alongside the man himself.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: She saves Santa Claus in episode 3. We have no idea how it happened, since it was all offscreen.
  • Ojou: Her design and Noblewoman's Laugh imply that she's an upper-class ojou, though we don't really get to see enough of her to know for certain.
  • Ojou Ringlets: She has literal hair drills, a parody of the usual appearance of noblewomen's ringlets.
  • Opaque Lenses: Her goggles completely cover her eyes, which are used to the effect of Opaque Nerd Glasses.
  • Painting the Medium: Part of the joke with DrillGirl is that her VA is the only one who has good microphone quality. Obviously, since she's the main character, they spent more money on their audio equipment for her.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: She thinks she's the actual protagonist of the show, but despite this, she isn't seen interacting with the main cast very often.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Parodied; the entire series acts like DrillGirl is the protagonist, down to being subtitled "The Life of DrillGirl".

    Raven

Design: Dollip
VA: Dollip

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/raven_intro.png
My name is Raven. I'm just your regular high school girl, and today is the first day of my brand-new life.
The actual main character of the show. Raven fares poorly at academics, but she's determined to turn things around this year. She stays positive even in the face of hardship. She also has a night job as a magical girl, and she excels at combat, which helps when she's targeted by bullies.
  • All-Loving Hero: While she's quick to put bullies in their place, she also isn't afraid to befriend them if they're willing to reform, as seen with Slash.
  • Asleep in Class: She falls asleep in class in episode 4 because she's been kept awake by the number of fighters she's had to face against.
  • Blood Knight: She's eager to fight to solve her problems.
Guidance Counselor Gentlemen Broncos on Blu-ray: It's possible there's more than meets the eye. You should see why they're being so confrontational.
Raven: You mean like, I should fight him?
Guidance Counselor Gentlemen Broncos on Blu-ray: Okay.
  • Book Dumb: She failed nearly all of her tests last year, and had to be tutored by Dark Shi for a semester.
  • Boyish Short Hair: Her hair is short on one side and long on the other, giving her a tomboyish look. Which side is longer depends on the shot, but it's usually our right.
  • Bully Magnet: Since she becomes popular after beating Ryan Sasuke, she starts getting targeted by students from other clubs, though they're all being recruited by Room 424.
  • Butt-Monkey: She's usually the victim of a lot of slapstick, especially during the fight scenes. Episode 2 has her hit in the face with a dodgeball and then shows her whole day being ruined by Slash.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She's occasionally snarky, such as her reaction to Locke being "Oh, barf."
  • Dumb and Drummer: She's Book Dumb and she mentions that she played the drums in the school band the previous year. We eventually see her playing drums during the ending of episode 5.
  • Fainting: She faints when she gets scared by Seams in episode 5.
  • Girlfriend in Canada: Her concept art seen in the credits jokingly states that she has a girlfriend who goes to a different school, so nobody has seen her. Her first scene in the actual show indicates she's single.
  • Helping Granny Cross the Street: She helps an old lady cross the street in episode 2, in the middle of a montage where Slash interrupts her by cutting things. Slash never shows up.
  • Hiding Behind Your Bangs: Her hair usually, but not always, covers her left eye (our right). This goes along with how she's a bit asocial at first and easily targeted by bullies.
  • Informed Attribute: Ryan Sasuke's insults suggest that she wears glasses, but she's only seen wearing them in one scene for an I Resemble That Remark! joke.
  • In-Series Nickname: Her rivals often refer to her as "Little Miss Popular".
  • I Resemble That Remark!: In episode 1, when Ryan Sasuke insults Raven by calling her "four-eyes", she pipes back at him while suddenly wearing Opaque Nerd Glasses, then quickly takes them off. Later, he calls her "football-head", and she's immediately depicted with a football-shaped head.
  • I Work Alone: Early on, she doesn't want Berrycream and Dark Shi to get involved in her fights — even when they offer to help — likely because they aren't magical girls like she is. After they help her beat Locke at the end of episode 4, her attitude changes, and she willingly accepts their help.
  • Magical Girl Warrior: She's a magical girl by night. When she transforms, she gets a different outfit and a wand that can turn into various different weapons, though she's just as proficient at using her fists.
  • Ordinary High-School Student: Self-described as a "regular high school girl", she's seen as a typical student until she beats up Ryan Sasuke, at which point she becomes known as "Little Miss Popular".
  • Part-Time Hero: Literally — being a magical girl is her night job. She does transform during the daytime, but only out of self-defense.
  • Passionate Sports Girl: A montage in episode 2 shows her reveling in different sports during gym class, even getting annoyed when Slash interrupts her "nasty dunk".
  • Phrase Catcher: Whenever she asks someone to clarify their intent, they reply, "Wouldn't you like to know, Little Miss Popular?" She starts to get annoyed by it as she clarifies that, yes, she would like to know.
  • Plucky Girl: Though she does occasionally become angry or dejected, she always tries to find a solution for any problem that comes her way, even if that solution is simply "beating the shit out of it".
  • Sleepyhead: One of her traits listed in her concept art is "sleepy", though so far this has only come up in one Asleep in Class moment.
  • Swiss-Army Weapon: Her magical girl wand can also become a sword, a hammer, a shield, pinball flippers, etc.
  • Tomboy: She's a bit tomboyish; she has Boyish Short Hair, excels at sports, has trouble with schoolwork, and is eager to fight to solve her problems.

    Berrycream Frosting

Design: Callie
VA: Callie

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/berrycream.png
Oh my gosh! Is that my bestest best best best best best best best best best bestest best best best in the whole wide world best friend, Raven?
A bubbly pink-haired girl, Berrycream is one of Raven's only friends. She's very optimistic and cheerful, but easily distressed. She does cocaine and seems to be skilled with knives and armed robberies.
  • Animorphism: She can turn into a bunny. Episode 5 reveals that this is her default form, and that her bell keeps her in human form so long as she wears it.
  • Beware the Nice Ones:
    • Despite being so kind and cheerful, she wields a butterfly knife with ease in episode 2, and successfully commits armed robbery along with Omen in episode 3.
    • In Episode 5, after retrieving her bell, she briefly returns to bunny form and delivers a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown to Kipp for everything he put her friends through.
  • Blatant Burglar: She wears the traditional ski mask and black-and-white bars when robbing a bank in episode 3.
  • Cute, but Cacophonic: Though she looks cute with her pink hair and ribbons, her voice is absurdly high-pitched. Her VA's microphone peaks for a lot of her lines.
  • Deadly Euphemism: When Raven vents about how Slash has been bullying her, Berrycream offers to "take care of it" and "get him to leave you alone" while pulling out a sword and a butterfly knife.
  • Ears as Hair: In bunny form, her ears look like her pigtails.
  • Genki Girl: She's very excitable and has a childlike optimism about everything.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Her pink twintails emphasize her girliness compared to her friends.
  • Morphic Resonance: When she turns into a bunny, she keeps her ribbons, and her pink hair becomes a pink patch on her stomach.
  • Motor Mouth: She starts talking really fast when she's excited or upset, most noticeably in the "bestest best friend" quote.
  • Pink Means Feminine: The most outwardly feminine of the main group, which is reflected by her pink hair.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: After Kipp went on a semantic rant about how the Collector's Club still owns the bell, she went back into bunny form and promptly beat the hell out of him to shut him up.
  • Prone to Tears: In episode 3, the thought of Cooters closing down is enough to make her cry more than once.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red oni to Dark Shi's blue, being very chipper and upbeat compared to Dark Shi's gloomy and quiet nature.
  • Shapeshifter Mode Lock: If she doesn't have her bell, she's stuck in bunny form.
  • Those Two Guys: Though she describes Raven as her best friend, she's more often seen associating with Dark Shi.
  • Transformation Trinket: The cat bell on her ribbon is the only thing that lets her assume human form. Without it, she's stuck as a bunny.

    Dark Shi

Design: Scratch
VA: Scratch

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dark_shi.png
Yeah.
A quiet kid with baggy clothes and shaggy hair. Dark Shi doesn't speak or emote much, but she's Raven's other best friend, and Berrycream also looks out for her. Hanging out with Raven and Berrycream brings a spark of joy to her otherwise troubled life.
  • Academic Athlete: She has an interest in boarding, indicated by her room having skateboards strewn around and her proficiency in snow/sandboarding, and she also tutored Raven for a semester in the previous year, suggesting that she's the smarter of the two.
  • Ambiguous Gender: It can be a bit hard to tell Dark Shi's gender, as she has an androgynous appearance and isn't referred to by any gendered terms in the series itself. Official staff comments indicate that she goes by she/her.
  • AM/FM Characterization: Raven states that Dark Shi enjoys listening to classic rock, and "SPARKLE ON DARK SHI" also has her listening to alternative and hardcore punk, fitting with her classic emo look.
  • Creepy Loner Girl: Subverted; while Dark Shi looks the part with her love of evil and her emo appearance, she's still friends with Raven and Berrycream, and they don't treat her any differently for it.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Even though she "loves evil", has a gloomy appearance, and even has the word "dark" in her name, she's close friends with Raven and Berrycream and is nothing but kind to them; she even gifted Raven a makeup kit for her 17th birthday.
  • A Day in the Limelight: "SPARKLE ON DARK SHI" takes her perspective, showing that she's very anxious and turmoiled, but her friends help her get through it.
  • Emo Teen: She has the vibe of a late-2000s emo; she wears a hoodie with a skull on it and listens to rock. Her concept art's profile states that she loves evil and hates love.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: Her hair always covers her eyes.
  • Hidden Depths: She has a pet hamster named Squeakers, indicating that she has an affection for cute animals, and she played the clarinet in the school band, indicating a passion for music beyond her more typical taste in classic rock.
  • Limited Wardrobe: Even when she goes snow/sandboarding in episode 3, she still wears her hoodie, just with swimming trunks rather than her usual jeans.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: She isn't scared by the haunted house in episode 5 at all, unlike Raven, and actually takes her phone out to start recording it. She also calls Berrycream turning into a bunny awesome, despite everybody treating her bunny form as a hideous transformation.
  • Non-Uniform Uniform: In her case, she forgoes the school uniform entirely in favor of a hoodie and jeans, which adds to her androgynous look.
  • Noodle Incident: Raven mentions that Dark Shi got into a disagreement with a teacher the previous year, but she doesn't remember if anything came out of it.
  • Precision F-Strike: Dark Shi yells "Hey, you big bitch!" to Locke when she shows up to help Raven fight him, a rarity for her quiet character and indicating the severity of the situation.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue oni to Berrycream's red, being gloomy and quiet compared to Berrycream's optimistic and upbeat nature.
  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: SPARKLE ON DARK SHI suggests that her aloof demeanor is because she suffers from severe anxiety.
  • Those Two Guys: She's usually seen associating with Berrycream Frosting, and values their friendship to the extent that she has a picture of the two of them hanging above her bed.
  • When She Smiles: Though normally aloof, there are a few moments where Dark Shi genuinely smiles. The most prominent example is at the end of SPARKLE ON DARK SHI, when she sees that Berrycream has come to check up on her.

    Ryan Sasuke

Design: Robby
VA: Kuu

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ryan_sasuke.png
Outta my WAY, four-eyes! I'm NEW to this STUPID SCHOOL!

A bully and a bit of a blowhard. Ryan Sasuke is one of the new transfer students to Raven's school, constantly insulting her throughout her first day. He eventually challenges Raven to a fight over his seat; she wins, and he gets knocked down a peg.

  • Blood Knight: He jumps at the chance to challenge Raven to a fight over his seat.
  • Blowing a Raspberry: He blows a raspberry after stealing the seat Raven wanted and calling her "poindexter".
  • Break the Haughty: After spending the first episode bullying her, getting beaten by Raven seems to have humbled him a bit, changing him from a jerkass to a tsundere.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: He begrudgingly becomes friends with Raven after she beats him in a fight.
  • Expy: He's designed as a parody of Bakugo from My Hero Academia, with his spiky blonde hair and abrasive personality. The main distinction is that Ryan Sasuke thinks he's more prominent of a character than he actually is.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: In episode 5, he says "yes" when Raven asks him if he's seen Berrycream's bell. She decides to ignore him and ask two more people just in case. Dark Shi convinces her to begrudgingly ask him for details; Raven still doesn't hesitate to say "God, you suck!" to his face.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Even just being in his way is enough to anger him.
  • Hot-Blooded: He's always cocky and abrasive, and it's reflected by how his voice actor bellows nearly every word out of his mouth.
  • Hurl It into the Sun: Raven punches him into the sun at the end of episode 1.
  • Jerkass: He spends the majority of episode 1 insulting Raven, in particular acting like she wears glasses even though she doesn't (most of the time). When she punches him into the sun, he cools off a bit.
  • Miles Gloriosus: He talks a big game, and Strawberry mentions that he was the best fighter in their last school, but Chupachups counters that he's actually "a huge pussy". This is more-or-less proven true, as he spends so much time gloating at Raven that she knocks him out with one punch.
  • Shonen Hair: He has a big mop of spiky blonde hair, which adds to his Hot-Blooded nature and overall "got lost and wandered off the set of a shonen anime" vibe.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: In episode 3, he denies that he came to Cooters because of Raven's friends before asking them to save him a seat.
I'm not DOING this for YOU, or COOTERS. This was the ONLY place that was OPEN today that had CRAB LEGS at a REASONABLE PRICE. SAVE me a SEAT, will ya?
  • Trash Talk: When he confronts Raven on the rooftop, he spends the entire time talking about how cowardly she is and how he's going to wipe the floor with her, allowing Raven to punch him into the sun.
  • Tsundere: After his defeat, he becomes a male example of a tsuntsun character; he begrudgingly dances with Strawberry and Slash in the credits of episode 2, and he joins them at Cooters in episode 3, though he denies any sentiment behind it.
  • Unexplained Recovery: He shows up fine after being punched into the sun in episode 1, only showing a few bandages for his trouble.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: He acts like he's the protagonist of a shonen anime, which is what his design and voice-acting suggest. He's actually a supporting character in a Magical Girl-inspired Slice of Life series, and his lack of awareness gets him punched out at the end of episode 1.

    Shinji Yuu

Design: Robby
VA: Nolan David

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shinji_yuu.png
Let's just say me and Albert... have some history.

An enigmatic boy who tracks Raven's progress from behind the scenes. He's always seen using a flip phone, and seems to be friends with Chase.

  • Advertised Extra: He's part of the main cast shot at the end of the opening, but his role in the series is relatively minor for now: he appears very briefly in episode 1 and has a slightly longer scene in episode 4.
  • The Comically Serious: He always speaks with a somber, dulcet voice, even when explaining that Room 424 is located next to the men's bathroom.
  • Expy: His appearance and name seem to be inspired by Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
  • Mysterious Stranger: He does appear to be looking out for Raven, acting as an informant when Raven gets overwhelmed by the students sent by Room 424, but his actual motives are unclear, and he's never seen in the school scenes.
  • Sorry to Interrupt: In the credits of episode 1, he walks on-screen while Raven and Berrycream are rapping to "Let Me Clear My Throat". He gains a baffled expression, then immediately turns around and walks back the way he came.
  • Stealth Hi/Bye: In episode 4, he startles Raven by revealing he was on the roof when she wasn't expecting him, and then disappears just as fast when she goes to thank him.
  • We Used to Be Friends: He says that he has "history" with Albert Tensai, which would imply that they used to be friends or at least collaborators.

    Isaiah "Slash" Gonzales

Design: Pepper
VA: Scout, Robby

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/slash.png
Sorry to "cut" in! My name is Slash!

An arrogant loner who loves to cut things with his sword. Slash is the founder of the Afterschool Blades Club and a student of the way of the blade, but turned to antagonizing Raven after he learned that nobody wanted to join the club.

  • Affably Evil: Even while bullying her, he always greets Raven cordially and apparently doesn't even expect her to fight him. His only response to her declaring that she's going to beat the shit out of him is "Oh. Okay."
  • The Coats Are Off: He flings off his kimono at the beginning of his fight with Raven, revealing that he wears cargo shorts and a T-shirt that reads "KILL SLASHER".
  • Defeat Means Friendship: He concedes defeat after Raven slices his sword in half, admitting that he was being led down the wrong path. As a result, he joins Raven's group of friends, and episode 5 shows that he rebuilds the Afterschool Blades Club into a thriving and popular club.
  • Do Not Call Me "Paul": His real name is Isaiah Gonzales, but he prefers to go by Slash, and introduces himself as such.
  • Evil Sounds Raspy: Subverted. His voice sounds very raspy — kind of like Strong Bad — and he does initially act antagonistic toward Raven, but it later turns out that he's more of a Peer-Pressured Bully who has a good heart underneath.
  • Facial Scruff: He has a noticeable peach fuzz moustache, which gives him a scruffy look that fits with his initially unpleasant demeanor.
  • Foreign Culture Fetish: His real name suggests he is Latino, but he wears a kimono, uses Gratuitous Japanese, and generally has the hallmarks of an Iaijutsu Practitioner. The series does take place in a deliberately ambiguous mishmash of America and Japan, though.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: After he realizes the error of his ways, he apologizes to Raven, saying gomen'nasai ("I'm sorry" in Japanese).
  • Heel Realization: He only realizes that Room 424 was misleading him after Raven defeats him and offers to be his friend, after which he stops bullying her.
  • Iaijutsu Practitioner: He attempts to be one, but his aim is so terrible on moving targets that he can't pull off a Single-Stroke Battle at all.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: His slices are always improbably precise... on stationary targets.
  • Logical Weakness: Because the Afterschool Blades Club didn't have any other members, he had to practice on stationary dummies. This makes his aim incredibly accurate with still objects, and horribly inaccurate on moving opponents.
  • Misunderstood Loner with a Heart of Gold: He's an honorable opponent and a surprisingly decent guy; he only targeted Raven because nobody would be his friend.
  • Peer-Pressured Bully: He was recruited by Room 424 into bullying Raven because he was lonely and friendless.
  • Poke the Poodle: Most of his antics towards Raven are annoying and even destructive (he cut a wire that caused part of the school to blow up), but the thing that pushes her over the edge is cutting in line to steal the last hot dog at lunch.
  • Pungeon Master: He takes every opportunity he can to make sword puns; episode 2 is even called "Knife to meet you!", after one such line.
  • Speech Impediment: He tends to drag out the ends of his sentences and occasionally transposes syllables, such as "the way of the bwade" and "forewell".
  • Tiny Schoolboy: He's very short compared to Raven and most of the male students.

    Lord Albert Tensai

Design: Justyn and Meeks
VA: Justyn

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lord_albert_tensai.png
We WILL become the most popular club in the school, and ensure the perfect perfect school year for the Room 424 World Domination Club!
The shady leader of the Room 424 World Domination Club. After awaking from 1,000 years of slumber, he hatched a perfect perfect plan, and now wishes to lead the most popular club at school. Naturally, Raven becoming popular is a wrench in his goals. Not much is known about his motivation other than, well, world domination.
  • Ambiguously Human: While he looks normal at a glance, there are a few traits that make it unclear if he's human. He has pointed ears like an elf, and an extended lifespan due to being put into cryogenic sleep. His glasses even "light up" when he wakes up, as if he's a robot.
  • Badass Cape: He wears a large purple cape that adds to his villainous look. It somewhat resembles the one worn by Piccolo.
  • Big Bad: He's set up to be the main villain of the series as Raven's direct rival in popularity and the reason why so many students are fighting her.
  • Big Eater: He eats a whole crab at the end of episode 3, and then is seen eating a burger combo meal at the beginning of episode 4, though he quickly tosses it aside.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: He deliberately adheres to the tropes of a stereotypical anime supervillain (i.e. sending only one student after Raven per week and always allowing her a clean fight).
  • Clothing Combat: He's able to use his cape as a whip to snap at Gibbons, and later as a makeshift grappling hook when he needs to make his escape.
  • The Comically Serious: In episode 3, he muses on Raven's popularity in the same dramatic tone he always speaks in... while he's covered in snow like a snowman, eating a whole crab at Cooters.
  • Destination Defenestration: Self-inflicted; after being defeated, he makes his escape by breaking a window.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Well, he can comprehend good, he just doesn't like it:
Curses! As expected, I was defeated by the power of teamwork... the worst kind of power!
  • Expy: Given that Shinji is based on Shinji Ikari, Albert takes some cues from Gendo Ikari: namely, his Scary Shiny Glasses that glint in the shadow and his common pose sitting at a desk with his fingers tented.
  • Evil Genius: Though it's more of an Informed Attribute; we're told he's a genius, but we don't really know much about his capabilities.
  • Evil Is Not Well-Lit: Invoked. He deliberately keeps the lights dim in Room 424 to hide himself in silhouette, and even snaps at Gibbons when he accidentally turns them on.
  • Evil Wears Black: His villainy is indicated visually by his black pants and a gray crop top.
  • Evil Plan: When he awoke from his 1,000 year slumber, he formed the Room 424 World Domination Club and began building its popularity so he can take over the world.
  • Finger-Tenting: His default pose has him tenting his fingers, reflecting his villainous nature.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: Aside from his emphasis on becoming popular as part of his scheme, the credits of episode 4 have him sing "Relight My Fire" (a song about unrequited love), suggesting that his motivation to Take Over the World may stem from wanting to be loved.
  • Manipulative Bastard: By preying on Slash's loneliness, Albert was able to manipulate him into joining the World Domination Club and bullying Raven.
  • Meaningful Name: "Tensai" means "genius" in Japanese, and he is indeed an Evil Genius.
  • Named After Somebody Famous: He's named after the professional wrestler Matt Bloom, who variously went by the names Prince Albert and Lord Tensai.
  • Non-Action Big Bad: He recruits students from the other clubs to fight for him, and explicitly summons a "distance demon" to get Raven away from him, while never fighting anyone personally.
  • No Name Given: Until his name is revealed in episode 4, he's only referred to as "Club Leader" in order to mask his identity.
  • Omniscient Council of Vagueness: Before his full reveal in episode 4, he's only seen in silhouette, vaguely talking about Raven's popularity and his evil ambition.
  • Phrase Catcher: Whenever his full name is mentioned, it's instantly followed with a clarification that "tensai" means "genius".
  • Really 700 Years Old: He was asleep for 1,000 years, but doesn't look much older than Raven and friends.
  • Scary Shiny Glasses: Has a pair of opaque glasses that add to his intimidation factor, which are the only thing visible when he's in silhouette.
  • Sensible Heroes, Skimpy Villains: In contrast to the modest school uniforms worn by most of the characters, he has quite an... odd outfit, wearing a crop top and low-rise pants that expose his midriff and pelvis. Even his maid uniform consists of a crop top and a skirt.
  • Soft-Spoken Sadist: Even when he loses his temper, his voice is overall very soft-spoken and mellow.
  • Take Over the World: His main goal is world domination, though exactly why is unclear.
  • Villain: Exit, Stage Left: Through a window, in this case. Raven makes it clear that she'll only fight him on mutual terms, so he gets away without a battle.
  • Villains Out Shopping: For the cultural festival, he puts a temporary halt to his plans to convert Room 424 into a maid café, with himself as one of the maids. Despite making his main goals clear, he doesn't do anything to Raven or her friends when they show up looking for Berrycream's bell.
  • We Will Meet Again: He gets away clean at the end of episode 4 and makes it explicit that this isn't the last we'll see of him.

    Omen

VA: Omen

HELLO. MY NAME IS OMEN. IT IS A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU, RAVEN. I HOPE THAT THIS YEAR, WE CAN FIND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE THROUGH OUR COLLABORATION. I LOOK FORWARD TO THE SCHOOL YEAR, AND I HOPE YOU'LL COME TO BE AS ENTHUSIASTIC AS I AM ABOUT WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS.
A rotating 3D cone surrounded by four angel wings. Speaks in a robotic voice and seems to be unpopular.
  • Ambiguous Gender: It's unclear what their gender is or if they have one at all.
  • As Himself: Parodied. Omen's voice is listed as being provided by themselves. The associated Twitter handle, @T420TWEETS, is an account that roleplays as a Terminator.
  • Butt-Monkey: None of their friends actually like them, and they often suffer misfortune without much notice or care from others.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: While they're part of Raven's general circle, nobody seems especially close with them. Raven loathes the thought of sitting next to them, and in episode 2, DrillGirl punts a dodgeball directly into them.
  • Invisible Anatomy: Can apparently drive a getaway van despite not having visible hands or feet.
  • Machine Monotone: Thanks to being voiced by a text-to-speech program, they have a flat and robotic affect.
  • Made of Explodium: They glitch out and explode after attempting to ask a question to Mr. Ryu.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: They're a 3D model in a series where everything is drawn in 2D animation.
  • Our Angels Are Different: Considering the name "Omen" and their four angel wings, they seem to be a play on the idea of a Biblically accurate angel, which were usually abstract shapes with wings surrounding them.
  • The Pollyanna: The majority of their dialogue expresses how excited they are to be here, even if nobody returns that enthusiasm to them.
  • Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: They extend their thoughts quite a bit more than necessary, as seen by their first line of dialogue, which stretches the gist of "Hi, nice to meet you!" out for over twenty seconds.

    Mr. Ryu

I'm Mr. Ryu. Now, if that's too hard, you can just call me "sensei". I'll be your homeroom teacher this year.
The class's cool and collected homeroom teacher. He's also the gym teacher, and might just teach every class at the school.
  • Badass Teacher: After Mr. Ryu's designer made a Tekken mod with Dragunav dressed as him, the writers decided that he was canonically a participant of the King of Iron Fist tournament; he's an amazing fighter and none of the students know about it. This is also the only reason Paul Phoenix shows up later.
  • Dull Surprise: Every line of his is spoken in the same gentle tone of voice.
  • Eyes Always Shut: He always keeps his eyes closed.
  • The Generic Guy: There isn't much to glean from his personality, since he stays strictly professional.

  • Anthropomorphic Food: She's an anthropomorphic orange. Her other family members are also fruit, with her brother being a pineapple named 'Quat and her parent being an apple named Mango.
  • A Dog Named "Cat": She's an orange named Strawberry. Her family includes a pineapple named 'Quat and an apple named Mango.
  • Idol Singer: She dresses up like an idol and sings her own song, "Lunchtime Fun", at the school's talent show in episode 5.
  • Nice Guy: Right off the bat when they first meet, she allows Raven to talk about what's bothering her, and vouches for her when Ryan Sasuke challenges her to a fight.
  • Non-Human Head: She has an orange for a head, but she's otherwise humanlike.
  • Non-Indicative Name: She's an orange, not a strawberry.
  • Non-Uniform Uniform: Instead of the standard uniform, she wears a pink tank top and jeans.
  • Sore Loser: Her response to losing the talent show to the Walking Talking Man is an aggravated "The god... damn... Walking Talking Man..."
  • Valley Girl: Downplayed; she has the valley accent and her concept art describes her as "loud and preppy", but she lacks the negative stereotypes of the trope.

    Chupachups

Design: Meeks
VA: Meeks

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chupachups_6.png
GATHER 'ROUND, BOYS AND GIRLS, AND LEND ME YOUR EARS! FOR I'VE COME FROM SPACE TO SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEERS! I'VE HEARD YOUR CRIES AND I'VE READ YOUR PLEAS! SO I CAME FROM SPACE TO SMOKE SOME TREES!
An autistic alien girl with an absurdly high-pitched voice and an affinity for weed. She went to the same school as Ryan Sasuke and Strawberry. She's very blunt about her opinions, and she can also grant Christmas wishes.
  • Alien Among Us: Often blatantly refers to herself as an alien, and nobody seems bothered by it.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: She's bright purple, mostly to indicate her alien nature.
  • Amusing Alien: Her shrill voice and straightforwardness provide a good source of comedy.
  • Brutal Honesty: Her first line is to declare that Ryan Sasuke is actually a huge pussy. She's basically right.
  • Cat Folk: She somewhat resembles a humanoid cat with her button nose, her cat smile, her whisker-like ears, and her tail.
  • Flying Saucer: She pilots a gray, metallic, rounded spaceship with a glass dome around the pilot's seat.
  • Helium Speech: Her voice is pitched up to an absurd degree, and that's on top of practically yelling all the time.
  • Humanoid Aliens: She has a mostly humanoid appearance, but she's purple and fuzzy with antennae, winged ears, and a tail.
  • Incoming Ham: Always announces her presence by loudly declaring her name.
  • Make a Wish: She can grant Christmas wishes. They actually work; when Milton Shake wishes for everyone to have secure passwords, someone later on is heard complaining that their phone password was changed.
  • Mars Wants Chocolate: She arrived on Earth because she really wanted to smoke weed.
  • No Biochemical Barriers: She can breathe just fine on Earth — both oxygen and other fumes.
  • No Indoor Voice: She never stops shouting, which might just be because of the weed.
  • Playful Cat Smile: She's often seen with a somewhat smug-looking cat smile, which reflects her being a comedic character.
  • Rhymes on a Dime: Her spiel when announcing her ability to grant Christmas wishes is done entirely in rhyme.
  • Sexy Santa Dress: She wears the standard Santa-style minidress when acting as "Chupachups the Christmas Alien".
  • Shout-Out: She's named after Chupa Chups, a Spanish brand of lollipops.
  • The Stoner: Her concept art's profile says that she's always high, and her very first scene has her offering Raven some weed.
  • The Unintelligible: If you don't have subtitles turned on, she gets damn near close to unintelligible, thanks to the pitch-shifting combined with her shouting that clips her VA's microphone.
  • Unusual Ears: Her ears look like wings, or maybe a stylized cat's whiskers.
  • Yellow/Purple Contrast: Her design is mostly purple with accents of yellow in her hair and antennae.

    Chase

Design: Scout
VA: "Scout"

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chase_6.png
Eh? Oh, sorry, I wasn't paying attention.
It's Scout, back when she was known as Chase.
  • As Himself: Chase is played by Scout. She's listed as being "designed" and "voiced" by Scout, but she's just Scout herself.
  • Creator Cameo: Scout is one of the voice actors and animators for the series, portraying herself.
  • Roger Rabbit Effect: She's a real person green-screened into the animation.

Guidance Counselor Gentlemen Broncos on Blu-ray

Design: Benji
VA: Bailey

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gentlemen_broncos.png
Remember who you are and what you stand for!
The school's guidance counselor, a sentient Blu-ray copy of Gentlemen Broncos with arms and legs. He's described as a voice of reason who always has a lesson on hand.
  • Animate Inanimate Object: He's a living Blu-ray box.
  • Chair Reveal: He's facing away from the camera when we meet him, only to spin around and reveal that he's Gentlemen Broncos on Blu-ray.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: In a mostly hand-drawn series, he's a photo of the actual Blu-ray case of Gentlemen Broncos with cartoony hands and feet.
  • Overly Long Name: Raven always refers to him in full as "Guidance Counselor Gentlemen Broncos on Blu-ray". The credits just call him "Gentlemen Broncos".
  • Psychologist Teacher: Quite literally; he has a Freudian Couch in his office and he's able to easily resolve Raven's concerns when she vents to him.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: He hears Raven out about her problems with being bullied and offers reasonable input while allowing her to come up with a solution on her own.
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: His reaction to Raven suggesting that she just fights Slash instead of talking to him is a nonplussed "Okay."
  • Waxing Lyrical: A non-musical example; several of his lines are direct quotes from Gentlemen Broncos ("Greetings and salutations," "It's such an honor to be in the midst of so many juvenescent, ripe minds," and "Remember who you are and what you stand for").

    Cooters Waitress

Design: Robby
VA: Dayo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cooters_waitress.png
Howdy, girls, and welcome to Cooters. Our menu today, try our famous lightly-breaded Cooters Wings. The Cooters Super Grouper Sandwich. Cheesy Cooters Quesadillas. Cooters Chicken Alfredo. Cooters Shake. Save some room for the Cooters Key Lime Pie. Cooters New York Strip with Big Cooters Mac. Get yourself a Chicken Caesar Cooters Salad.
A waitress who works at Cooters Restaurant & Bar.
  • The Faceless: Her head is always just out of frame.
  • Long List: She feels the need to read out the entire Cooters menu to Raven and friends.
  • No Name Given: The credits just list her as "Cooters Waitress".

    Milton Shake

Design: RenoBee
VA: RenoBee

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/milton_shake.png
Hello, girls, and Merry Christmas! Are you enjoying the Cooters Christmas Crab Legs? ...And also ensuring you have a secure password that is different for EVERY website you use?
The owner and proprietor of Cooters Restaurant & Bar. Milton Shake is a friendly robot with a light-bulb for a head. His main passion in life is ensuring everyone has a secure password that is different for every website they use, and he runs Cooters as a way to spread his message.
  • Brought to You by the Letter "S": His chestplate has the letter "M" on it.
  • Friendly Shopkeeper: He kindly greets and engages with his customers on a personal basis.
  • Non-Human Head: His head looks like a light bulb on an otherwise humanoid body.
  • Noodle Incident: He was apparently indebted to "Michaelsoft" at some point in the past. We don't know the details, but it's likely that this contributed to his financial issues.
  • One-Tract Mind: Whenever he gets the chance, he's always sure to shoehorn the topic of password security into any conversation. He considers running Cooters a side gig in comparison.
  • Ridiculously Human Robots: He's a robot who's able to run a restaurant, hold a bank account, and get in debt.
  • Skewed Priorities: He freely admits that he only operates Cooters as a side gig to promote password security, and doesn't seem that torn up about it closing, even though this will leave him without a job.
  • Tin-Can Robot: He's a robot who looks like a tin can with vacuum tubes for limbs and claws for hands.
  • Wasteful Wishing: When he gets a Christmas wish, rather than using it to ensure Cooters stays open, he uses it to make sure everyone has secure passwords that are different for every website. This is a sensible goal, but leaves Raven and her friends distraught, as they spent the whole day raising money to keep Cooters open.

    Gibbons

Design: Nifty and Pea
VA: Pea

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gibbons.png
Oooh, wait 'til the BOSS hears about this!
A silly little imp who acts as Lord Albert Tensai's sidekick and minion. Gibbons has a distinctive New York accent and the ability to summon demons by playing a pan flute. He does most of the work managing the Room 424 World Domination Club, keeping an eye on Raven's battles and interfacing with recruits in Albert's stead.
  • Big Red Devil: More like a little red devil, but he otherwise fits the typical devilish look: red skin, bat wings, and horns.
  • Bumbling Sidekick: He's more clumsy and goofy than Albert, and has a kind of "bumbling mafia henchman" vibe to his voice acting, but he's ultimately a loyal sidekick.
  • The Dragon: Gibbons is Albert's loyal subject and right-hand man.
  • Failed a Spot Check: When Raven shows up at Room 424, he answers the door with a rehearsed "no longer taking applications" spiel before opening his eyes and realizing just who he's dealing with.
  • Horns of Villainy: Being an imp, he has four horns, which reflect his villainous nature.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: He reacts to Locke's defeat by loudly wailing like a baby.
  • Magical Flutist: He summons Locke, the Distance Demon, by playing a pan flute.
  • Our Imps Are Different: He has the "classic" imp look with red skin, yellow eyes, bat wings, a pointed tail, and four horns. His legs and feet, meanwhile, resemble a bird's talons. In terms of characterization, he's small and doesn't fight anyone himself, but helps Albert by recruiting students and keeping track of their battles.
  • Remember the New Guy?: Gibbons first appears a full two episodes after his boss, Albert. It's even lampshaded; Albert greets him as "my loyal subject, Gibbons, who has always been here".
  • Shadowed Face, Glowing Eyes: He's first introduced in shadow, with only his glowing yellow eyes visible.
  • Super-Speed: He's able to flit around from place to place at high speeds.
  • Why Don't You Just Shoot Him?: He asks Albert why he doesn't just send all of the students after Raven, rather than one per week. Albert decides to send all of the one-star students, but doesn't listen when Gibbons says that this isn't what he meant.
  • Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: His yellow eyes fit his status as a sneaky sidekick who surveys Raven's progress from the shadows.

    One-Star Students
Various one-off students seen in episode 4. They've all been recruited by Room 424 to fight Raven.

Wolf Girl

Design: Robby
VA: Char

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wolf_girl.png
Ha! You're no match for the Extracurricular Cryptid Club! Awoooooooo!
The representative of the Extracurricular Cryptid Club.
  • Animal Species Accent: Since she's part wolf, she has a raspy voice and often growls her lines.
  • Badass Longcoat: Her main deviation from the usual school uniform is a trenchcoat that adds to her lupine look.
  • Hot Blooded Sideburns: To match her werewolf look and energetic personality, she has a pair of fluffy sideburns.
  • My Instincts Are Showing: She's distracted by Raven pulling out a steak from the garbage and playing fetch with it, which ultimately leads to her defeat.
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: For a wolf girl, she's mostly humanoid, with her only non-human traits being her lack of visible ears and her shaggy arms and claws.
  • Punched Across the Room: Raven defeats her by kicking her across the lunch room when she's distracted by a steak.
  • Wild Hair: Her hair is long and shaggy to reflect her being part wolf.

Shino Bee

Design: Char and Bryan
VA: RenoBee

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shino_bee.png
The representative of the 4th Period Ninja Club.
  • Animal-Themed Superbeing: She's a bee-themed ninja who has a beehive hairdo and attacks by throwing out bees.
  • Bee-Bee Gun: She mainly attacks by tossing out bees like projectiles.
  • Bash Brothers: Though they are rivals, she fights Raven together with Crabella, using her bees to limit Raven's movement while Crabella attacks with her claws.
  • Beehive Hairdo: Naturally, she has a beehive hairdo, which happens to resemble a bee's abdomen.
  • Creator Cameo: One of the bees she tosses out is RenoBee, her VA, who also appears in the intro.
  • Goggles Do Nothing: She has goggles that she doesn't actually wear, though they're more to make her resemble a bee.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: She's human, but has a bee's antennae and wings.
  • Highly-Visible Ninja: She still wears the school's standard uniform, making her quite conspicuous for a ninja.
  • Ninja: A bee-themed ninja, though she isn't seen doing much stealth.
  • The Quiet One: Her one line of dialogue is a quiet grunt.
  • Pirates vs. Ninjas: According to Word of God, Shino Bee and Crabella were designed as a way to deliberately invoke the popularity of the pirates vs. ninjas trope in the late 2000s. They have a rivalry with each other because their clubs are scheduled for the same period, but they put aside their differences to fight Raven. invoked
  • Punny Name: Her name is a pun on shinobi, another word for a ninja.

Crabella

Design: Char and Bryan
VA: Dev

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crabella.png
The representative of the 4th Period Pirate Club.
  • Animal-Themed Superbeing: She's a crab-themed pirate with scraggly red hair who attacks with her claws.
  • Bash Brothers: Though they are rivals, she fights Raven together with Shino Bee, waiting for Raven to be cornered by bees before pummeling her with her claws.
  • Dressed to Plunder: She has a pirate hat, an Eyepatch of Power, a gold tooth, and a Seadog Peg Leg, easily indicating from a glance that she's a pirate.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: She's a human with crab claws.
  • Pirate: A crab-themed pirate, though she isn't see doing much pirating.
  • Pirates vs. Ninjas: According to Word of God, Shino Bee and Crabella were designed as a way to deliberately invoke the popularity of the pirates vs. ninjas trope in the late 2000s. They have a rivalry with each other because their clubs are scheduled for the same period, but they put aside their differences to fight Raven. invoked
  • Power Pincers: She's able to easily batter Raven with her crab claws.
  • Semiaquatic Species Sailor: She's a pirate who's part crab, which are a semiaquatic species.
  • Shout-Out: Her full name is Crabella DaVille.
  • Talk Like a Pirate: Her one line of dialogue is "Yarrrr!"

Zero

Design: Nifty
VA: Nolan David

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zero_7.png
Wait a second... blue hair?!
The representative of the Martial Arts Club.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Compared to his inspiration, Zero isn't all that great of a fighter, missing all of the attacks he throws and then getting defeated mid-Kamehameha.
  • Captain Ersatz: He's just Goku with brown hair; his name is a reference to how Goku's name was changed to Zero in the Harmony Gold dub of Dragon Ball, and his VA imitates Sean Schemmel's performance. His hair is even mistakenly colored black in a few shots, making him identical other than the name.
  • Casual Danger Dialogue: He greets Raven with "Hey! Nice clothes!" before swinging a punch at her.
  • Defeat Equals Explosion: He explodes when Raven defeats him. It's based on the way Krillin is killed by Frieza in Dragon Ball Z, complete with the same scream and the sky turning green.
  • Flash Step: He's able to instantly teleport up behind Raven before he starts the battle.
  • Kamehame Hadoken: He charges up a Kamehameha (which hilariously looks like a Rasengan), but gets interrupted when Raven just uses her wand to blast him while he's charging up.
  • Power Floats: He floats in mid-air while charging up his Kamehameha.

Dartman

Design: Robby
VA: Noah

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dartman.png
Muhahahahaha-HA-haha! Nobody can dodge MY darts forever!
The representative of the Varsity Darts Club.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Everyone calls him Dartman, but Word of God says that his birth name is "Tforstiy Opeepelt", after a mangled spelling of Polar Peely from Fortnite. invoked
  • Evil Laugh: His first line is a pretty impressive evil laugh as he gloats at Raven.
  • Flechette Storm: He tosses dozens upon dozens of darts as he attacks Raven.
  • I Know Madden Kombat: His main form of attack is throwing darts... which, granted, are pretty deadly if you're not throwing them at dartboards.

Ai Seeyu

Design: Dev and Bryan
VA: Twilight

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ai_seeyu.png
I know EVERYTHING about EVERYONE!
The president of the Yearbook Committee.
  • Censored for Comedy: When she greets Raven, she says her last name, home address, and birthdate, which are all censored out.
  • Combat Clairvoyance: She successfully predicts that Raven will jump ten feet in the air and punch her in the face, but doesn't do anything to prevent it because she's too busy telling this to Raven.
  • Crystal Ball: She rides on a floating crystal ball to fit with her omniscient image and to make up for her lack of height.
  • Knowledge Broker: Since she runs the yearbook, she has everyone at the school's personal information. In production, they literally called her "the Information Pervert". She doesn't actually get to do anything with it, though.
  • Nerdy Bully: She has a nerdy look and the fact that she has dirt on everyone is her main way of antagonizing Raven.
  • The Omniscient: Parodied; her being the president of the yearbook committee is treated as if she knows literally everything. She can even predict the future, apparently.
  • Opaque Nerd Glasses: Fitting her nerdy look, she wears a pair of opaque spirally glasses.
  • Punny Name: Her name is a pun on "I see you" with the Japanese name "Ai".
  • Token Mini-Moe: The smallest of all the students we've seen so far, which fits her Nerdy Bully look.

    Locke

Design: Dayo and Robby
VA: Dayo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/locke_7.png
I love this school! I want to live here!

The Distance Demon, summoned by Lord Albert Tensai and Gibbons to defeat Raven once and for all. He's a truck of a man, and in combat he uses both a crossbow and an axe.

  • Automatic Crossbows: He starts off wielding a crossbow before switching to an axe. For some reason, he doesn't have to reload; he just rapid-fires a barrage of arrows.
  • The Brute: The most formidable foe Raven has ever faced; one punch is enough to send her flying, and he's easily able to brush off any hits he takes. Raven ultimately needed Berrycream and Dark Shi to distract him in order to defeat him.
  • Brutish Character, Brutish Weapon: His brutish demeanor is complemented by his use of a crossbow and an axe in battle.
  • Evil Sounds Raspy: He has a notably raspy voice that matches his role as Albert's heavy-hitter.
  • Meaningful Name: He's named the Distance Demon because "he's good at fighting no matter the distance," with his crossbow and axe.
  • Mighty Glacier: His main weakness in battle is his low speed, but when he lands a hit, it's devastating.
  • Our Demons Are Different: Apparently he's a demon, as he's explicitly summoned like one, but he mostly looks like an absurdly tall and buff human.
  • Shout-Out: His flat-top mullet hairstyle is based on the man in the "safety not guaranteed" meme from YTMND, complete with a cover of "Push It To The Limit" by Paul Engemann (the song associated with the meme) playing when he shows up.
  • Sky Face: His face shows up in the sky giving a thumbs-up at the end of episode 4.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: Fitting his physical strength, his torso takes up much more of his body than his legs.

People who don't know where Berrycream's bell is
Various one-off students seen in episode 5. They all don't know where Berrycream's bell is.

Takoyaki Girl

Design: Dev

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/takoyaki_girl.png
An octopus girl selling takoyaki during the school festival.
  • Black Comedy Cannibalism: Subverted; while takoyaki is made of octopus, it's made clear that she's selling vegan takoyaki.
  • Blush Stickers: She has a pair of dark red blushes on her cheeks.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": She's a girl who sells takoyaki, so she's called Takoyaki Girl.
  • Funny Octopus: She looks like an actual octopus, rather than being humanoid like most of the other non-human students. The absurdity of an octopus attending a human school and serving takoyaki (vegan, but still) forms the crux of her character.

Drama Club

Design: Char

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hime_o.png
The school's theater committee, headed by one Himeo.
  • Bifauxnen: Himeo looks like a pretty boy and even rides on a white horse to school, but she's actually a handsome girl.
  • Cool Crown: Himeo's crown is relatively simple, but signifies her status as a princess king, which adds to her coolness.
  • Meaningful Name: Himeo (or Hime Ou) means Princess King in Japanese. She's a girl who indeed resembles a princess and a king.
  • Non-Uniform Uniform: Himeo wears the girls' sailor top with trousers and the boys' blazer.
  • Punny Name: The play they're putting on is called Men of Autumn Descent — in other words, Fall Guys.
  • Shout-Out: The other members of the drama club besides Himeo look like characters from Fall Guys wearing different costumes.

Scare Club

Design: Kuu
VA: Holly (Seams), Robby (Curse)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scare_club.png
Florica is on the left, Curse is on the right, and Seams is in the top right.
A spooky club hosting a hellish haunted house. It consists of Florica the plant girl, Curse the mummy, and Seams the living scarecrow.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Although they enjoying scaring people, it's only part of their act; they're quite cordial when Dark Shi asks them about Berrycream's missing bell, and Curse goes to check up on Raven after she faints. "SPARKLE ON SCARE CLUB" shows Seams reject Albert Tensai's offer to join Room 424: they're not interested in world domination, just scaring people.
  • A Day in the Limelight: "SPARKLE ON SCARE CLUB" is focused on the three of them as they prepare a Halloween party while everyone else in the school goes trick-or-treating at their door.
  • Meaningful Name: Florica invokes flor- (the Latin prefix for flower), and she's a Plant Person; Curse is a zombie, who is presumably cursed to stay alive; Seams is a scarecrow and has visible seams in her skin.
  • Mummy: Curse is presumably a mummy, as they have gray skin and are almost entirely wrapped in bandages.
  • Plant Person: Florica is a living plant girl who sprouts up from a pot, has flower petals for hair, and leaves for hands.
  • Scary Scarecrows: Seams seems to be a frightening-looking scarecrow. She scares Raven by dropping down in front of her, though of course it's only part of the show they're putting on.
  • The Unintelligible: Curse can only speak in grunts.
  • Voice for the Voiceless: Seams is the only one of the trio who can speak proper English, so she acts as the proxy for the other two.
  • The Voiceless: Florica does not talk at all in either of her appearances.

Angie and Ursula

Design: Robby and Meeks

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ursula_and_angie.png
Ursula is on the left and Angie is on the right.
Two girls taking photos together in a photo booth. They seem to be very good friends.
  • Animal Motifs: Ursula is associated with cats, being given cat ears and whiskers in two of the four photos featuring her.
  • Berserk Button: Ursula gets really set off by Raven interrupting their purikura session, leaving Angie very confused.
  • Cute Little Fang: Whenever she opens her mouth, Ursula has a single fang visible.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Angie makes her first appearance as a participant in the snow sculpture contest in episode 3, where she gets third place. She later shows up more prominently in episode 5.
  • Expy: They heavily resemble Utena and Anthy from Revolutionary Girl Utena, in both their names and their likenesses (with one having light skin and pink hair, and the other having dark skin, glasses, and purple hair). They're specifically named after the Americanized dub names Utena and Anthy received in a canceled localization of the series, Ursula's Kiss.
  • Opaque Lenses: Angie's glasses are completely opaque, with only her eyebrows conveying her expressions.
  • Photo-Booth Montage: Raven interrupts them during one, to Ursula's chagrin.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Angie appears to be the blue oni to Ursula's red, with Ursula being the one to get angry at Raven for interrupting their photo session while Angie is just confused.

???

Design: Tiff

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/question_marks.png
A hand emerging from the darkness that dwells within Room 666.
  • Attack of the Monster Appendage: All we see of it is a hand. It's unclear if there's more behind the darkness.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Despite appearing so ominous, it doesn't actually do anything, and attempts to help Raven and Dark Shi the best it can; it just doesn't have the right bell.
  • My Name Is ???: It's listed in the credits as ???, and on Raven's checklist as "Whatever This One Is", suggesting that it's entirely unknowable.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: It's animated very smoothly in squigglevision, sticking out from the static frames of everyone else around it.
  • Nothing Is Scarier: It's just a hand, and that's all we know. It still comes across as very ominous.
  • Number of the Beast: An ominous hand, and it lives in room 666.

Bellboy

Design: RenoBee
VA: RenoBee

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bellboy_5.png
A boy who is a bell.
  • Machine Monotone: He has a rather flat and robotic voice, though it's unclear if he's actually a robot.
  • Meaningful Name: He's a boy with a bell for a head, so he's Bellboy. Since it's just one word, it seems to be his actual name, rather than a descriptor.
  • Non-Human Head: His head is a bell.
  • Shadowed Face, Glowing Eyes: His eyes are white circles within a dark hole cut within the bell that is his head.

    Kipp

Design: Nifty
VA: Meeks

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kipp.png
My aggregation used to be much more meek in comparison to what it is today. And thanks to the influx of new students who have congregated to our academy, my collection has quickly become more and more impressive as the days go on.
The nerdy president of the Collectors Club, who has an obsession with collecting stuff. After "collecting" (read: forcefully taking over) the lost and found, he now gets first dibs on anything that isn't claimed within 24 minutes, and thus has amassed a huge collection of knick-knacks and junk. During the cultural festival, he auctions some of it off by hosting a pachinko game.
  • Anime Hair: Despite his nerdy appearance, he has spiky white hair that points straight up, like a Super Saiyan.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Though he appears to be a meek nerd and presents his backstory "humbly" by claiming that he entered a mutual agreement with the lost and found, he quickly reveals himself to be rude and obnoxious to everyone around him, and Dawn reveals that he abused a technicality to gain full control of the lost and found and steal everyone's belongings.
  • Hypocrite: Despite getting on others' cases about breaking the rules of his pachinko game, he himself cheats by slamming the machine to redirect the ball and prevent people from winning.
  • It Belongs in a Museum: His motive is "It belongs in a collection!" He doesn't let Berrycream have her bell back because he thinks it's collectible.
  • Jerkass: He took over the lost and found and stole a bunch of people's lost items, he yells at and pushes around Dawn, and he cheats to ensure that nobody wins his pachinko game. Berrycream is justified in giving him a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: The consequences of him stealing a bunch of stuff and treating everyone around him like dirt are getting beat up by Berrycream and launched out the roof of the school.
  • Loophole Abuse: After the school merged with the school down the road that blew up, Kipp made use of an obscure loophole to take full control of the lost and found.
  • Nerdy Bully: He wears an ill-fitting sweater vest, has glasses and a nasally voice, and he's obsessed with collecting things, especially nerdy items such as anime figurines and toys. His obsession leads him to steal everyone's personal belongings and intimidate the lost and found to prevent them from doing anything about it.
  • Nerdy Nasalness: He has a nasal and high-pitched voice fitting his nerdy look.
  • No Indoor Voice: He's almost always yelling, whether that be in anger, surprise, or just because.
  • No Name Given: Notably, Kipp is never addressed by name in episode 5, despite being a significant character within it.
  • Opaque Nerd Glasses: His glasses are usually fully opaque, but his eyes are occasionally visible underneath them.
  • Punny Name: According to his designer, Kipp's full name is "Kipp Tomaniac". It's a pun on "kleptomaniac", something which Kipp certainly is.
  • Rules Lawyer: He keeps badgering Raven and Dark Shi about the rules of his pachinko game, such as how Berrycream can't participate due to not being visible when she arrived. He's soundly ignored whenever he does this.
  • Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: He uses much more formal language than necessary and goes on rambling tangents if he's allowed. He lampshades this in one case, ending a lengthy explanation of the rules with "in layman's terms, no takesy-backsies!"
  • The Short Guy with Glasses: He's much shorter than the main cast and wears glasses, and also demonstrates his extensive knowledge of the rules of his club, allowing him to take over the lost and found and yell at others about breaking said rules.
  • Skewed Priorities: When he finds out that Raven and Dark Shi want Berrycream's bell, he assumes that it could be valuable, or have magical transformation properties... but his biggest concern is that it could be collectible.
  • Sore Loser: After Berrycream wins back her bell, Kipp angrily begins citing a technicality that means the bell still belongs to him, to which Berrycream responds by just beating him up.
  • Sticky Fingers: He's so obsessed with collecting things that he took over the lost and found, effectively stealing the possessions of everybody at the school.
  • A Twinkle in the Sky: His ultimate fate is getting sent out the roof into the sky.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: Kipp has spiky white hair, and shows himself to be a spiteful and rude person to those around him, bending the rules to his favor and getting upset when others do the same.

O-oh! U-um! Um! Ahaha! Uhmm! Pa— pachinko moment!
The original helper at the lost and found committee. When the schools merged and Kipp took over the lost and found, she became his assistant by default, and now doesn't really have a say in things. She's shy and clumsy, and has a serious crush on Raven.
  • Casting Gag: Dawn falls head over heels for Raven; their voice actresses (Penny and Dollip, respectively) are dating in real life.
  • Crush Blush: After Raven asks her for a ball for the pachinko machine, Dawn starts blushing intensely, and eventually has to hide her face behind the bucket of balls.
  • The Dog Bites Back: When she learns how important Berrycream's bell is, she hands her a ball for the pachinko machine even after Kipp refuses, going against him for the first time.
  • Extreme Doormat: She lets Kipp push her around because he essentially absorbed the lost and found into his own club.
  • Foil: At least partially to Raven; where Raven is strong-willed and becomes popular as a result, Dawn is timid and lost power in her club by not being able to stand up to Kipp. Raven has blue hair that covers her left eye, and her name suggests a darkness theme; Dawn has orange hair that covers her right eye, and her name suggests a morning theme.
  • Gibberish of Love: Seeing Raven in her magical girl form causes her to stop and stutter before eventually bursting out "Pachinko moment!"
  • Hiding Behind Your Bangs: Her hair usually, but not always, covers her right eye (our left). This reflects how timid and shy she is.
  • The Klutz: She trips over her own feet when Kipp asks her to prepare the balls for the pachinko machine.
  • Messy Hair: Her hair has a lot of cowlicks, and strands of it can be seen sticking out in closeups.
  • Orange/Blue Contrast: She has longer orange hair compared to Raven's shorter blue hair.
  • Shrinking Violet: She doesn't say much and usually just quietly obeys Kipp, and she tends to stutter whenever she speaks, which only grows when she sees Raven.

*riff from Steriogram - Walkie Talkie Man*
The winner of the talent show during the school festival.
  • Flat Character: He walks, and he talks. Debatably. His walk cycle consists of the same image being repeatedly mirrored, and the guitar riff heard as he passes by could be interpreted as talking.
