Alone
Alone
- Voiced by: Hiro Shimono (JP), Daman Mills (EN)
- Art Initiates Life: Inversion: Everything he paints will die.
- The Atoner: After being defeated by Tenma in the last chapters and getting Hades knocked out of him, he tells Tenma and Sasha that he wishes to atone for what he did while pretending to be Hades.
- Ambiguously Gay: In chapter 214, Alone said "I killed you, Pegasus, the boy I loved more than anyone else."◊ However, it isn't confirmed what kind of love he is speaking.
- Big Bad: Until Hades's real awakening, upon Alone's defeat.
- Death Seeker: He wants to be killed before Hades fully takes over him. He doesn't quite get his wish as Hades becomes separated from him in the end, but he still joins Sasha and Tenma to take down Hades. Not unlike Shun.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: The very first thing anyone says about him is, "What the...? You look like a girl!"
- Dull Eyes of Unhappiness: Subverted. Alone's eyes are quite vivid, but full of soulcrushing, heartbreaking sadness.
- Evil Sounds Deep: After his Face–Heel Turn, his voice becomes much deeper and colder, contrasting how it used to be light and warm.
- Fluffy the Terrible: His little dog can turn into Cerberus.
- Foil: To Shun from the original series. Both are pacifists and hades vessels, but unlike Shun, Alone wishes to use Hades powers for his own interests.
- Foreshadowing: The fact that after awakening to Hades’ power, he still shows very clear and blatant interest in Tenma foreshadows how he’s faking being Hades for the sake of his salvation plan. This is made even clearer when the real Hades appears and doesn’t regard Tenma as anything aside from the Pegasus Saint and his Arch-Enemy.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Before his Face–Heel Turn, he had bright blond hair, combine with Innocent Blue Eyes to further emphasize his Nice Guy personality. He now has blond hair again thanks to Tenma knocking into him some sense.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Alongside Tenma and Sasha, to banish Hades back into the Underworld and keep him trapped there.
- Irony: Alone is Hades' vessel, therefore Tenma's archnemesis, but he is exteremely close to Tenma.
- Insane Troll Logic: Why he decided to kill everyone. You only suffer if you're alive, if you're dead then you will not suffer anymore, therefore death is salvation from suffering.
- Love Makes You Evil: He loves people, all of them, to death.
- Meaningful Name: Lampshaded by Tenma.
- No Sense of Personal Space: Alone often gets very close to Tenma and touches him tenderly.
- Paint It Black: When Hades' corruption on him begins with the breakage of Sasha's charm, his hair turns from blond to black.
- Pure Is Not Good: Being pure-hearted makes him a target host for Hades' soul.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Blue to Tenma.
- Redemption Equals Death: He dies along with Tenma and Sasha in the last chapter to seal Hades’ soul until the next Holy War.
- Spell My Name With An S: For a while, most translators could not decide between Aroon, Aloon, Arone, or Alone. His name was later officially revealed to be Alone.
- Taking You with Me: His plan was to use the Lost Canvas to have the others kill him while he sealed Hades within himself.
- Tears of Blood: He sheds these in the few first chapters, after killing Tenma and having the bracelet Sasha made for him accidentally broken by Tenma.
- Two Guys and a Girl: With Sasha and Tenma during their childhood.
- Villain Teleportation: Really fond of appearing out of nowhere and doing something very nasty.
- We Can Rule Together: Proposes this to Tenma and is rejected, of course.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: He really believes that death means salvation.
- What Beautiful Eyes!: Has the most vivid eyes amongst all characters in the series. However, Alone himself thinks Tenma's eyes are this.
- Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: After the horrible revelation that everything he painted dies, including the three orphans who lived with him and Tenma, he went mad with guilt and decided to use Hades' power to kill everyone and let them have what he considered salvation.
- You Are Not Alone: Tenma told him this: "I will never leave you on your own, Alone!!"
Hades
Hades
- Black Swords Are Better: His balck sword has the power to destroy souls.
- Dark Is Evil: Hades dresses in black, rules the underworld and command and army of specters.
- Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Is very pale and have black hair.
- Everybody Hates Hades: He certainly wasn't an Omnicidal Maniac in the mythology.
- Good Wings, Evil Wings: Black angelic wings of evil.
- Greater-Scope Villain: Although Alone pretends to be possessed by Hades and the characters buy into it, he is really just Alone. Hades only wakes up and takes over the Big Bad role after Alone's defeat at the hands of Tenma.
- Kill All Humans: His primary goal, because humans are corrupt and don't worship or at least respect the gods anymore.
- No Body Left Behind: Invoked. Contrary to the original series, this Holy War against Hades did not take place in the Underworld, but in the Sky Palace. As such, when Hades is forced to abandon Alone's body, he is nothing but a soul. This is in stark contrast to the original series, where Hades uses Shun to avoid having to use his actual body, which lies within Elysium; having been forced out of Shun, he resorts to his physical body.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Invoked. Pandora, Hypnos and Tanathos are trying to make him shed the Alone personae because he keeps talking about "salvation" and makes an effort to keep Athena and Pegasus alive; the actual Hades, in turn, talks about "judgement", and doesn't give a crap about anyone.
- Saved by Canon: Can't die since he appears in the original series.
- Sealed Inside a Person-Shaped Can: Thanks to Athena's flower leash, Hades became trapped inside of Alone, unable to take over his body. Once the leash is destroyed, its protection begins to gradually fade and Hades's awakening becomes a matter of time - and Alone keeps track of it via the Star Clock.
- Significant Birth Date: Pandora's mother gave birth to his spirit on the Christmas night. Oh the irony.
- Weakened by the Light: Sunlight is able to horribly damage him as long as it's powerful enough to go through his defenses.
Pandora
Pandora
- Voiced by: Nana Mizuki (JP), Cristina Vee (EN)
- Action Dress Rip: In the later chapters you forget about the plot and wonder how the heck it stays on.
- Animal Motif: Snakes, both because Reptiles Are Abhorrent, because of her image as The Corrupter and because Snakes Are Sexy.
- Awful Truth: So Pandora's dear best friend, whose death she explicitly ordered, wasn't the one who took away her brother after all. She was innocent. Oh well.
- Bodyguard Crush: On Rhadamanthys.
- Cat Fight: Averted with Athena. She confronts her over Alone's ownership, gets in her face and almost slaps her but Tenma intterrupts their impending scuffle by stepping between the two.
- The Corrupter: Pandora and Hypnos convince Alone that death is salvation, leading to his Face–Heel Turn.
- Dark Action Girl
- The Dragon: The purpose of her life is serving as Hades's Dragon every Holy War.
- To Alone until she discovers he was never possessed by Hades in the first place.
- Enemy Mine: She ends up fighting Partita alongside Tenma (although she claims he will be the next one to die). After he saves her life and protects her, they become almost friendly towards each other. Still enemies, though.
- Evil Counterpart: To Athena herself, although her role in Hades's troops mirrors that of Athena's Pope.
- Hotter and Sexier: She is much tougher and sexier than her original series counterpart.
- A Magic Contract Comes with a Kiss: With Alone.
- Pet the Dog: She gets a small one before it becomes a Kick the Dog at the hands of Partita.
- Shock and Awe: What her Signature Move consists of. Also, as depicted in the anime, she may even discharge electricity when angered. Literally.
- Tall, Dark, and Snarky
- Used to Be a Sweet Kid
Gods
Thanatos
Thanatos
- Voiced by: Shinji Kawada (JP), Vic Mignogna (EN)
- Adaptation Dye-Job: His hair is jet-black in the anime. Actually, they were pretty faithful to his only colored image from the manga... too bad his hair color on it was wrong.
- Badass Long Robe
- Creepy Twins
- Curtains Match the Window: Dark eyes and hair.
- Death Is Cheap: Invoked. He is the god of death, so killing people is just second nature to him.
- Monochromatic Eyes
- Evil Sounds Deep
- Evil Is Petty:
- Hypnos and Thanatos wipe out Athena's remaining army in the previous Holy War just because Athena utterly defeated Hades.
- Hypnos correctly points out that Thanatos would be the bringer of his own downfall for not taking humans seriously.
- Human Chess: As Manigoldo interrupted his chess match with Hypnos, Thanatos transforms the pieces into gigantic warriors and makes them viciously attack the Saint.
- Humans Are Morons and Puny Humans: His philosophy of life is underestimating humans in general. Hypnos calls him on this, but to no avail. He should have listened.
- Person of Mass Destruction: Hypnos and Thanatos wiped out the entirety of Athena's army when the last Holy War ended, as an act of retaliation for Hades's defeat. Sage and Hakurei were the only survivors.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Red to Hypnos.
- Saved by Canon: Can't die since he appears in the original series.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: Sealed in the Holy Coffer by Sage.
- Smart People Play Chess: Is seen playing chess with his brother.
- Tall, Dark, and Snarky: In the anime. In the manga, he's just tall and snarky.
Hypnos
Hypnos
- Voiced by: Tomohiro Tsuboi (JP), Todd Haberkorn (EN)
- Affably Evil
- Bad Habits: His usual disguise is that of a priest.
- Badass Long Robe
- Big Bad: Of the Twin Gods Arc (volumes 7 through 11).

- Creepy Twins
- Curtains Match the Window: Golden eyes and hair.
- Elite Mooks: His children, the four Dream Gods.
- Evil Sounds Deep
- Graceful Loser: Congratulates Hakurei for defeating him.
- Hidden Depths: He has a deep admiration for humanity's cunning, so he makes a conscious effort not to underestimate them. His children, in turn, are not as savvy as he is.
- Leitmotif: Got his own creepy theme in the anime.
- Manipulative Bastard
- Person of Mass Destruction: Hypnos and Thanatos wiped out the entirety of Athena's army when the last Holy War ended, as an act of retaliation for Hades's defeat. Sage and Hakurei were the only survivors.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Blue to Thanatos.
- Saved by Canon: Can't die since he appears in the original series.
- Scary Shiny Glasses
- Sealed Evil in a Can: Sealed in the Holy Coffer by Hakurei.
- Smart People Play Chess
The Dream Gods
Oneiros
- Voiced by: Hideo Ishikawa (JP), Christopher Corey Smith (EN)
- Fusion Dance: With the other Dream Gods.
- The Leader: Of the Dream Gods.
- Meaningful Name: Comes from Greek Mythology word, Oneiroi. Oneiroi means Dreams and is the combination of the sons of Nyx and were Hypnos's brothers and/or children.
- Taking You with Me: Upon realizing he would soon be rendered powerless and destroyed by El Cid and Sisyphus's Combination Attack and Hypnos would never forgive him for his failure, he makes a last attempt to kill Tenma with a Self-Destructive Charge. Oneiros just didn't count on El Cid shoving him far enough to render his self-destruction harmless to the others, sacrificing himself in the process.
Icelus
- Voiced by: Ryūsei Nakao (JP), Ezra Weisz (EN)
- Fusion Dance: With the other Dream Gods.
- Off with His Head!: The way he's taken out by El Cid.
- Space Master: Icelus has the power to bend space and use it against El Cid during their fight, sending a Excalibur wave right back at him.
- The Dragon and The Brute of the Dream Gods.
- Religious and Mythological Theme Naming: Comes from Icelus, the true name of Phobetor (frightening) of the Oneiroi in Greek Mythology. He is the personification of nightmares and appears in dreams in the form of animals or monsters.
Phantasos
- Voiced by: Rie Kugimiya (JP, female form), Satoshi Hino (JP, male form), Caitlin Glass (EN, female form), Billy Kametz (EN, male form)
- Ambiguously Gay: First appears as a flirty blonde woman, but it's just an illusion. However, when his soul appears again merged with the other Dream Gods, it has his female body's appearance, implying that Phantasos is actually transgender.
- Ascended Extra: In the anime, where he's the one to benefit more from Adaptation Expansion out of the four Dream Gods, being the only one aside from Oneiros to get actual speaking lines after their fusion.
- Creepy Crossdresser: Phantasos assumes the form of an attractive blonde woman to flirt with his foes.
- Creepy Souvenir: He intended to keep El Cid's severed arm as a souvenir.
- Crossdressing Voices: His female form is voiced by a woman.
- Curtains Match the Window: Golden hair and eyes.
- Depraved Bisexual: Arguably. He kinda comes out looking like this since he kinda flirts with anyone, specially guys.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: Actually, he pretends to be a lady...
- Fusion Dance: His soul fuses with the other Dream Gods.
- Meaningful Name: Comes from the word Phantasos (apparition) of the Oneiroi in Greek Mythology. He appears in dreams in the form of inanimate objects.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: His keeping El Cid's severed arm is what allowed him to cross the dimensional boundary, thanks to the Gold Cloth's resonance.
- Show Some Leg: When using his disguise as a girl.
Morpheus
- Voiced by: Hiroshi Tsuchida (JP), Joe Ochman (EN)
- Curtains Match the Window: Golden eyes and hair.
- Did Not See That Coming: He certainly did not expect Tenma, a mere human, to manifest a God Cloth in the Dream World with Alone's push.
- Fusion Dance: With the other Dream Gods.
- Meaningful Name: Comes from Morpheus (shaper of dreams). In Greek Mythology he is the God of Dreams and Leader of the Oneiroi. He has the ability to take any human form and appear in dreams.
Specters
The Three Judges
Wyvern Rhadamanthys
Wyvern Rhadamanthys
- Adaptational Badass: Downplayed. In the original series, Rhadamanthys was killed by a point-blank Galactic Explosion, while here he gets a significant power-up and takes much more punishment before dying.
- Depower: His god-like state was overpowered and destroyed by Regulus at the cost of his own life, reverting Rhadamanthys back into a common Specter.
- Determinator: No matter how much punishment he gets, Rhadamanthys just refuses to die.
- Disney Death: TWICE. First, on his fight against Scorpio Kardia, then on his fight with Leo Regulus.
- The Dragon: To Pandora.
- Enemy Mine: Helps Athena after realizing that the specters were being manipulated by Alone.
- Good Wings, Evil Wings
- Implacable Man: Survived getting pierced and his heart burnt by Kardia; getting part of his chest ripped out by Regulus; and survived long enough, after being cut in half by Alone, to unseal Athena's power, and still save Pandora as his last act as a Specter.
- Made of Iron: Exaggerated. Rhadamanthys takes a lot of punishment throughout the story. He had his heart set on fire by Kardia during their battle in Atlantis and then had it removed by Sphinx Pharaoh as a test of loyalty. Afterwards, he was infused with Hades' blood which caused him severe pain at first before finally being able to control it, he powered through an Athena Exclamation by Regulus (which is a small-scale Big Bang), survived a Zodiac Exclamation without a scratch, had his heart punched out by Regulus, sliced in half by Alone, and finally blown apart after saving Pandora. That's how much it took to finally kill him off.
- My Master, Right or Wrong: With regard to Hades.
- Noble Demon: Almost lovely when compared to the likes of Minos and Aiacos.
- Saving Pandora from Alone's attack, after he was already missing half his body.
- Power-Up: Became a Physical God after being infused with Alone's blood.
- Undying Loyalty: To Hades, and only Hades. This is the reason why he decided to destroy the painting made by Alone that was keeping Sasha's/Athena's powers sealed: he didn't take it well when he found out that a human had the audacity to pose as his master.
- You Killed My Father: Regulus's reason to fight him.
Griffon Minos
Griffon Minos
- Voiced by: Takahiro Sakurai (JP), Trevor Devall (EN)
- Ascended Extra: Downplayed. In the original series, Minos had the least amount of screen-time out of the three Judges, while here he has an entire volume dedicated to his fight against Albafica.
- Advancing Boss of Doom: He effortlessly slays all of the Saints and soldiers who appear in his way trying to stop him as he advances towards the Sanctuary. Albafica's poisonous garden halts him, eventually.
- Ax-Crazy: Minos is a sadist and enjoys torturing his victims by breaking their bones with his signature move.
- Blow You Away: Gigantic Feathers Flap. A very, very destructive version.
- Good Wings, Evil Wings
- People Puppets: His technique Cosmic Marionettion gives him free control over the victim's body through energy strings. He can manipulate them or simply break them. Slowly.
- Pride: Is fond of his strength and don't take well his defeat at the hands of Albafica.
- Signature Move: Cosmic Marionettion.
- Taking You with Me: After being hit the Bloody Rose, Minos tried to use the last fo his strength to destroy Albafica's hometown out of spite, but his attempt was fooled by Shion's Crystal Wall.
- Villainous Breakdown: Upon realizing he was just lethally poisoned, he loses control and tries to destroy everything before his inevitable death.
- What Measure Is a Mook?: Has no trouble sending those under his command to certain death against Albafica.
- World's Strongest Man: Minos is said to be the strongest specter in Hades army (at least before Rhadamanthys become a semi-god) and was confident that he could cross the Twelve Temples by himself and crush anyone who stood in his way. He also easily overpowers two Gold Saints with raw strength.
- Would Hurt a Child: He was about to murder Agasha looking her in the eye before Shion arrived.
Garuda Aiacos
Garuda Aiacos / Suikyo
- Ascended Extra: Downplayed. He was far from extra-status in the original series, but no one can deny that he is much more developed here.
- Bad Boss: Two of his moves take the lives of his underlings and use them as human sacrifices to unleash the said attacks.
- Brought Down to Normal: After his defeat, he is demoted from the Judge title and depowered.
- Good Wings, Evil Wings
- Fragile Speedster: Aiacos is fast and strong, but kinda fragile when one manages to land a hit on him. When Sisyphus is finally able to hit him, it's One-Hit KO.
- Karma Houdini: Downplayed. Though he gets de-powered and cast down from the hellish ranks, Suikyo is left with a human's lifespan, living on Earth and holding on his arms the woman that loves him.
- Lady and Knight: Genderflipped with Behemoth Violate. He is the Dark Lord to Violate's Black Knight(ess).
- Sarcastic Clapping: When the Saints manage to activate the Ship of Hope.
- What Measure Is a Mook?: Has no trouble killing his own troops to scare Athena's army.
Other Specters
Mephistopheles Youma (SPOILERS)
Mephistopheles Youma/Kairos
- Bad Habits: Took a leaf out of Hypnos's book and disguised himself as a priest in order to find the ideal candidate for Hades's Soul Jar.
- Didn't See That Coming: He certainly wasn't expecting to actually fall in love with Partita.
- Eldritch Abomination: His true form as Kairos, the forgotten god of time.
- For the Evulz: The reason behind his Evil Plan. Between instigating the holy war and messing with Aspros and Defteros, there's the little fact of wanting to harvest Tenma's soul and use it as a weapon against the GODS, ALL OF THEM. Ultimately a legitimate reason is revealed; he was banned by his older brother, Kronos, and wants to kill him for it. By extension, he harbours a hatred against ALL older brothers; that includes Aspros.
- Hate Sink: Being a through-and-through For the Evulz villain, he was meant to be hated for being an Abusive Dad and a Manipulative Bastard who messed up everything for his amusement. Because of this, it is very enjoyable to see Gemini Aspros kick his ass.
- Identical Grandson: In his teen years, Youma looked a hell lot like his son Tenma.
- Man of Wealth and Taste: With top hat and all.
- Meaningful Name: Just like his son Tenma, yet another horse. Though his name means "Phantom Horse" or "Eerie Horse".
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: His actions end up costing Hades the Holy War by establishing a relationship between the vessels of Pegasus, Hades and Athena, who ultimately vanquish Hades together.
- Not So Above It All: He actually liked Partita an awful lot. He even spends his dying moments thinking of her, remorseful of her ultimate fate.
- Perma-Stubble: What by itself sets him apart from all the other men in Saint Seiya.
- Pet the Dog: His last thoughts are for Partita.
- Soul Jar: His specter body.
- Time Master: Has this power since he is the forsaken god of time.
- Villainous Breakdown: As he's being defeated by Aspros.
Bennu Kagaho
Bennu Kagaho
- Voiced by: Jun Fukuyama (JP), Lucien Dodge (EN)
- Cynicism Catalyst: Sui's death is this for him.
- Foreshadowing: He awakens the spirit of the Phoenix with his dying plunge into the sun, making him the reason Ikki became the very first Saint ever to don the Phoenix Cloth for the next Holy War.
- Good Wings, Evil Wings: Subverted as he has no alignment to speak of.
- Playing with Fire: Fights mainly with flames.
- The Power of the Sun: Corona Blast; he forms at least one mini-sun and throws it at the opponent.
- Signature Move: Corona Blast.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Downplayed. He is similar to Phoenix Ikki in some ways.
- Technicolor Fire: Black in the manga, dark purple in the anime.
- Undying Loyalty: To Alone.
Cait Sith Cheshire
Cait Sith Cheshire
- Voiced by: Soichiro Hoshi (JP), Bryce Papenbrook (EN)
- All There in the Manual: The name of his moves and the fact that apparently he officially belongs to Aiacos's division are never stated in-universe, but they're revealed by Teshirogi on a Blu-ray booklet.
- Captain Obvious: He basically serves to unwittingly fuel Pandora's doubts by making them surface with his constant questions.
- Cat Boy: Cats are his motif, and he has sharp nails and fangs and the general attitude to go with it.
- Commuting on a Bus: Since chapter 48, all he does is very occasionally pop up alongside Pandora, doing some menial task for her.
- Defector from Decadence: He bears witness to the battle against Hades and endears himself to Athena unwillingly. He still serves Pandora even after the Lost Canvas is torn down.
- The Drag-Along: To Pandora, to whom he is her constant companion and to Athena, who brings him around to save him from the battles against Wyvern, Owl and Mephistopheles, and to bear witness to the revival of the lesser Saints.
- Foreshadowing: The fact that Pandora keeps him around serves to show that there's more to her than just rage.
- Harmless Villain: He really does nothing more than taunt the Saints and be Pandora's useless servant.
- Karma Houdini: It's easy to survive if you don't lift a finger even once in the whole war.
- Lovable Coward: So much that even Pandora tolerates his constant presence around her, and she's not a patient woman to begin with.
- Non-Action Guy: Avoids fighting.
- Plucky Comic Relief: Though at first he seems a genuine threat, he becomes more and more of a funny and ineffectual Specter as he spends time with Pandora.
- Side Kick: To Pandora.
- Shout-Out: To Alice in Wonderland.
- Stripperiffic: His Surplice is designed in such a way that most of his chest is uncovered.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: His role as Pandora's butt-kisser mirrors that of Frog Zelos from the classic series.
Alraune Queen
Alraune Queen
- Combat Tentacles: The vines in his Surplice act this way.
- Gender-Blender Name: Yes, a male named Queen.
- Mercy Kill: He claims to have killed his partner Gordon so he wouldn't have to live with the humiliation of having been defeated and rendered powerless.
- The Nose Knows: He's able to smell blood to the point of distinguishing the particular odor of each person's blood. That's how he discovers that Dohko is hiding a vial with Athena's blood, and that the Gold Saint himself was infused with the divine blood.
- Off with His Head!: His preferred method of killing. He does this to countless soldiers in the Sanctuary and attempts to finish Dohko this way. Also the way he kills Minotaur Gordon.
- Razor Wind: His signature move seems to consist on this.
- Signature Move: Blood Flower Scissors.
Balrog René
Balron René
- Adaptational Badass: He is much stronger than his counterpart from the classic series, which was effortlessly killed by Gemini Kanon.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Could be summarized as: "You don't know immediately if you wanna come with me, so I'm gonna slash your neck and leave you bleeding to death".
- Evil Counterpart: He really sees a lot of himself in Shion.
- It's Personal: He took personal offense at the fact that the person that he handpicked to be with him hesitated to come with him.
- Silence, You Fool!: Almost his catchphrase. The guy really cherishes silence.
- Signature Move: Fire Whip.
- Spell My Name With An S: René? Rune? Lune?
- We Can Rule Together: Proposed this to a young Shion because he saw a bit of himself in the boy. He didn't take it well when a hesitant Shion asked some time to think about it.
- Makes his offer once again in the Lost Canvas, and Shion turns him down immediately.
- Would Hurt a Child: Had no qualms about mortally injuring child Shion.
Basilisk Sylphid
Basilisk Sylphid
- Battle Aura: Manifests as a lethally poisonous wind.
- Bear Hug: Deconstructed. Dohko kills him with one.
- Blow You Away: Especially dangerous since it's a venomous version.
- Elite Mook: Said to be one of Rhadamanthys's best soldiers, alongside Valentine.
- Evil Counterpart: To Albafica, according to Dohko.
- A Good Way to Die: As Dohko crushes him with a Bear Hug, for the first time in his life he is able to feel the warmth of another person's touch. He dies tearfully thanking Dohko for giving him this kindness.
- "Instant Death" Radius: His poisonous aura does the trick.
- Lonely at the Top: His natural ability is enormously strong... so much that it kills anyone near him. His Undying Loyalty to Rhadamanthys is due to the latter being the only one he ever met who's strong enough to not be affected by his poison.
- Signature Move: Annihilation Flap.
- Undying Loyalty: To Rhadamanthys.
Behemoth Violate
Behemoth Violate
- Voiced by: Takako Honda (JP), Cindy Robinson (EN)
- Amazonian Beauty: It's hard to see it under all her armor and scars (and most people don't even see her gender), but yes, she's shown nude once and beneath it all, she is a beautiful yet muscular woman.
- Blood Knight: She really enjoys a good fight against opponents just as strong as she is, and despises having to deal with lesser warriors.
- Casting a Shadow: Violate's Signature Move, Shadow Sew, can paralyze her foes.
- Charles Atlas Superpower: Arguably all of the human Saints and Specters in the franchise are this, but Behemoth Violate is one of the few that stand out even among her equals. She has enormous physical strength even for a Specter or Saint, matched possibly only by Taurus Rasgado, who is the strongest of the Gold Saints.
- Covered with Scars: She's completely scarred under her Surplice, because of all the fights she took to become Garuda Aiacos's right hand woman. She's even proud of all her scars because she considers them the marks and proof of the badass warrior she is.
- Dark Action Girl: The only female specter in Hades army and one of his deadliest warriors.
- The Dragon: To Garuda Aiacos.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: She fights tooth and nail for Aiacos until, having been both defeated, he finally realizes that he loves her and she loves him back.
- Elite Mook: She is the greatest of Aiacos' troops and his Right Wing.
- Evil Redhead: A very dark red, but still qualifies.
- From Nobody to Nightmare: It's implied that she made her start as an unimportant soldier and steadily made her way to the top. That's why she despises Regulus, whom she sees as "special from the start, effortlessly".
- Hard Work Hardly Works: Despite her peerless strength, efforts, her iron will and determination, she is still defeated by the naturally talented, gifted Regulus.
- Lady and Knight: Again, gender-flipped with Aiacos. He is the Dark Lord to Violate's Black Knight(ess).
- Lady Looks Like a Dude: Despite being rather well-endowed and has long hair, she looks so much like a guy that Regulus didn't think she was female, and only knew after she destroyed her armor, revealing her boobs.
- Love Makes You Evil: She fights for Aiacos because she loves him. They both have to be utterly destroyed in battle for him to find out.
- People Puppets: Her corpse is briefly manipulated by Hades to try to execute Aiacos. It doesn't work, because she somehow stops herself.
- Samus Is a Girl: Introduced as a tough and brutal Specter way before being revealed to be a female.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Comparing to all the other female characters, she is especially masculine. That doesn't stop her from falling in love with Aiacos, though.
- Two Girls to a Team: She and Pandora are the only known women in Hades' army.
- Undying Loyalty: To Aiacos. Undying, indeed.
Nasu Veronica

- Kill It with Fire: Manigoldo finishes him this way.
- Necromancer: Does that as his career, compared to Byaku.
- Ominous Pipe Organ: Uses one to control his zombies.
- People Puppets: He manipulates corpses, even decomposing children, with his pipe organ.
- Shout-Out Theme Naming: To Resident Evil – Code: Veronica.
- Signature Move: Burial Fort.
- Taking You with Me: Attempted on Manigoldo, but failed.
Sphinx Pharaoh
Sphinx Pharaoh
- Bullying a Dragon: He taunts (and attempts to attack) Underworld Judge Wyvern Rhadamanthys.
- Defiant to the End: On the brink of death, he cursed the Gate as a final "screw you" to Athena's Army.
- Magic Music: His music can rip your heart out of your chest.
- Signature Move: Balance of Curse.
Deadly Beetle Stand
Deadly Beetle Stand

- Signature Move: Stand by Me.
- We Have Reserves: Dies at the hands of his superior, Garuda Aiacos.
Deep Niobe
Deep Niobe
- Always Someone Better: Pisces Albafica and Basilisk Sylphid have attacks that outclasses his Deep Fragrance, and both have higher poison immunity than him.
- Deadly Gas: Deep Fragrance.
- Walking Wasteland: To some extent, though not as powerful as Basilisk Sylphid.
Hanuman Tokusa
Hanuman Tokusa
- Voiced by: Miyu Irino (JP)
