Current Members

  • Bloody Murder: He has possession of Hemokinesis (The power to control blood).
  • Healing Factor: Thanks by his Hemokinesis he can heal fast.
  • People Puppets: As a result of Hemokinesis he can control anyone against their will.

    Vanguard (Lauren Drake)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vanguard_earth27.jpg
Click for Civilian Look

  • Artificial Human: Lauren is an artificial clone created by the League of Assassins based on Black Canary.
  • Badass Driver: Lauren is a talented operator of most road-based vehicles, including being trained in high-speed pursuit and defensive driving techniques. On a motorcycle, Lauren is practically a virtuoso.
  • Bash Brothers: With Dinah.
  • Big Eater: Due to her physical enhancements, Lauren needs to eat nearly three times the amount of food as one would expect. Even if she exceeds this, she doesn't seem to gain weight as her body has been calibrated to better process this and dispose of it.
  • Clone Angst: She's a clone of Black Canary with all her memories and abilities from when she was captured (2003). This usually makes her feel lost. She wants to be herself but not at the cost of being just like Dinah. Though she gets better.
  • Hidden Depths: Lauren plays the harmonica which she uses to strengthen her breathing and vocal cords.
  • Logical Weakness: A sufficiently powerful and accurate blow to Lauren's throat can cause her to lose the ability to use her Siren Shout effectively.
  • Loss of Identity: Lauren feels lost. She wants to be herself but not at the cost of being just like Dinah.
  • Multi-Melee Master: Lauren is highly skilled in the use of bows, swords, knives, batons, and improvised weaponry such as broken bottles and the like. Though she prefers to fight hand-to-hand, she is quite adept at grabbing whatever weapons are available to make use against an armored opponent. She is also familiar with the main weaponry of the League of Assassins.
  • Omniglot: Lauren can speak several languages other than English, including Spanish and Japanese. Due to her vocal abilities, Lauren is able to speak with a flawless and convincing accent of any dialect she hears spoken (not to mention can precisely mimic a person's voice after hearing it once).
  • Le Parkour: Through years of training, Lauren has conditioned her body to peak fitness and trained in all manner of acrobatic and gymnastic maneuvers.
  • Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: Lauren's red hair is the result of a genetic abnormality due to her cloning. Her green eyes are the result of El Penitente's experiments on her with the Lazarus Pit.
  • Super-Scream: Lauren inherited Dinah's Canary Cry dubbed as the "Siren Shout" that can reach close to 300 decibels but rarely uses it, as such a force causes ears to bleed even if they're not the attack target. A direct hit from her sonic blast can tear through steel like it was wet paper machete. With significant practice, Lauren has learned to use her Shout for a number of special effects, such as screaming downward while falling to slow her descent and cushion her landing from a fatal height.
  • Super-Senses: Lauren possesses hearing on par with Superman and has demonstrated herself to be more proficient in the interpretations and recognition of various sounds than the Man of Steel. Another one up she has on Big Blue is that her heightened hearing has a sort of 'sensory shield' which protects her ears from excessive noise (such as her Canary Cry).
  • Unskilled, but Strong: It is widely believed that Lauren would lose in a fight against Dinah even with her physical enhancements as she simply lacks the experience and her Canary Cry, while still powerful, isn't as perfected.

    Sureshot (Ciara Nichols)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sureshot.jpg
Click for Civilian Look

  • Ace Custom: Given to her by Oliver Queen himself, Ciara has a compound bow customized to her precision standards.
  • Casual Kink: Ciara has a weird kink. Even though she herself is not that religious, she finds visiting places of worship, in-depth discussions of religion or spirituality, and religious rituals to be highly arousing. She must do a fairly good job of concealing this from most people.
  • Donut Mess with a Cop: Ciara is a “stereotypical cop” who loves donuts, but only glazed and chocolate in moderation. She says that it’s the one bad vice her brothers allow her to have, that she’ll never give up. Her current partner on the SCPD is trying hard to convince her that frozen hot chocolate is something she needs to try, she rolls her eyes and shakes her head in response.
  • Drunken Master: When drunk, Ciara likes to challenge people to impromptu wrestling matches.
  • Dull Surprise: Ciara has a “meh” attitude towards Ollie/Team Arrow’s signature weapon...the boxing glove arrow. She admits to preferring more tactical arrowheads but will use it if she has no other options.
  • Fair Cop: Ciara Nichols is a highly-trained and highly-motivated law enforcement officer. Thanks to her enhanced brainpower, Ciara is a skilled investigator who is well-versed in the collection and analysis of forensic material; as well as other disciplines such as interrogation and interviewing.
  • Fear of Thunder: Ciara had astraphobia (fear of thunder and lightning) until she was in the 9th grade. It was so bad that she’d even refuse to walk in the rain if she heard thunder in the past couple of minutes.
  • Fun Personified: Ciara finds a great deal of humor in absurd facial expressions. There are some people who she can't help but giggle at whenever they make the slightest expression.
  • The Gadfly: If feeling playful, Ciara likes to tease people by constantly responding to their questions with 'Guess'.
  • Genre Savvy: Ciara is fascinated by vampires. She watches really sappy vampire stories with a box of tissues handy and geeks out over movies in that genre. Barbara wonders how she'll react to learning that real vampires do exist...
  • Has a Type: It seems like Detective Nichols has a certain type of guy she’s attracted to as all her previous relationships have been with guys who were 3 to 6 inches taller than her and were bald.
  • Heroic Ambidexterity: Ciara is ambidextrous but prefers to shoot with her right hand, yet she writes with her left hand. She’s the only person in her family who is ambidextrous.
  • Hidden Depths: Ciara has a large stuffed animal collection, enough to fill up one of her closets back home, but her favorite is a large panda bear her brothers bought for her when she got injured as a child. It sits on the edge of her bed and she makes sure to hug it before going to bed.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: Thanks to her improved eye-to-hand coordination, Ciara is highly-proficient with firearms, particularly her standard-issue .40 AmerTek semi-automatic pistol.
  • Interdisciplinary Sleuth: Thanks to her enhanced brainpower, Ciara is a skilled investigator who is well-versed in the collection and analysis of forensic material; as well as other disciplines such as interrogation and interviewing.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Ciara is an expert martial artist with training in Boxing, Freestyle Wrestling, Muay Thai, Jujitsu, and Karate. Her personal fighting style includes fast strikes, while using feints to confuse and long combinations to overwhelm her opponents.
  • One of the Boys For all intents and purposes, Ciara was "one of the boys" so when she was nine, her brothers began her combat training and taught her how to shoot a bow and arrow, despite her mother’s preference that they did not do such. Ciara’s brothers were amazed at how quickly and easily she picked up the skill.
  • Pop-Cultured Badass: Ciara is fascinated by vampires. She watches really sappy vampire stories with a box of tissues handy and geeks out over movies in that genre. Barbara even wonders how she'll react to learning that real vampires do exist...
  • Power Limiter: Pointing to a possible psionic element to her metahuman abilities, Ciara can tell when there is a telepath or a magic-user nearby as she gets a disorientating feeling. Most concerning is that when telepaths probe her mind, there is a chance that one or more of her senses may go haywire if they have been altered from their baseline state.
  • Secret-Keeper: They don’t like it, but Ciara’s brothers are well are aware that she’s operating as Sureshot in Oregon.
  • Sensory Overload: When Ciara dials up one or more of her senses, she can be extremely vulnerable to sensory overload. If she falls victim to this, there is a chance that in her panic, her other altered brain functions might scramble and leave her completely disoriented.
  • The Straight and Arrow Path: Ciara has trained herself to be an expert archer specializing in recurve and compound bows, as well as crossbows with near perfect accuracy. True to her Sureshot moniker, Ciara prides herself on being more accurate and placing her shots than the number of shots she can get off. As a bow and arrow dependent so much more on the physical discipline of its user than a complex mechanism like a gun, Ciara has a fondness for the bow.
  • The Strategist: Ciara is a skilled tactician, particularly in regards to law enforcement and criminal practices. She has had additional training in this field from other Team Arrow members.
  • Super-Senses:
    • In the wake of her mother's death, Ciara realized she could overclock portions of her brain's abilities by disabling or impairing other areas. Using her powers, Ciara could turn off her ability to feel pain to push herself beyond her normal limits, improve her eye to hand coordination, or improve her senses to superhuman levels. Obviously, this has many other applications.
    • Ciara uses a sensory deprivation tank at least once a month to help reset her senses. She’s currently working on Ollie to have one such tank installed in at least one, if not all of Team Arrow's satellite bases.
  • Trick Arrow: Her standard quiver holds thirty arrow shafts and twice as many arrowheads, most of which of trick arrows such as 'Capture-Foam', 'Grapnel', 'Flashbang', 'Exploding', or the concussive grenade known as the infamous 'Boxing Glove' arrow.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Ciara has an irrational fear of monkeys, stemming from an unfortunate childhood trip to the zoo when she was five years old.

    Golden Angel (Elissa Wayne)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/golden_angel_oc.jpg
Click for Civilian Look

  • Amazonian Beauty: Her costume shows her defined and muscular abs, and she seems to have inherited her mother's good looks who is the World's Most Beautiful Woman.
  • Battle Boomerang: She carries her own Batarang.
  • Chest Insignia: Her chest logo is a mix of Batman's Bat symbol with Wonder Woman's 'W' logo.
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: Was accidentally brought into Earth-27 from her own Earth by Fangirl, making Elissa the first instance of one of Earth-27's rules being broken (Rule #2: No Access to Parallel Earths). Golden Angel is an Original Character that initially was not suited to be a part of Earth-27, being a daughter of Batman & Wonder Woman, who do not have a relationship in Earth-27, and also being too old for the timeline.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: She's a Half-Human Amazonian.
  • Hereditary Homosexuality: Like her mother and grandmother, she is bisexual.
  • Heroic Lineage: Elissa is the daughter of Bruce Wayne and Princess Diana of Themyscira from a different version of Earth.

  • Primary-Color Champion: She wears blue pants, red top with golden lines, golden bracelets and tiara with a blue star.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: She has his mother's brunette black hair while having her father's blue eyes.
  • Utility Belt: She carries pouches on her belt.

The Fan Club

    Fangirl (Rose Walker/Em Parker)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fangirl_enhanced_earth_27.jpg
Click for Civilian Look

Em Parker is Rose Walker, the daughter of Desire and Unity Kincaid, twin sister of Drury Walker and aunt of Kitten, Jack and Melanie Walker.

  • Academic Athlete: Em was a popular student who never really had too many difficulties in her childhood, and had many natural talents that allowed her to win academic and athletic championships with ease.
  • Best Friend: Em is known to get into some silly antics with her next-door neighbor and best friend, Angie Aimes. The two have been compared to Wilma and Betty from the Flintstones.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Fangirl often breaks the fourth wall many times. Em seems to be aware of anything that affects her on a universal scale including threats, anything that would affect her in any way, or even somebody talking about her.
  • Canon Character All Along: Her real name is Rose Walker, daughter of Desire of the Endless and twin sister of Drury Walker/Killer Moth.
  • Character Tic: Always bites her lip when she's thinking hard or trying her best to not misbehave.
  • Cleavage Window: As Fangirl. Em has "V" shaped boob window.
  • Dirty Mind-Reading If there's a "that's what she said" or another dirty punchline to be had and provided Em has the time, she will surely insert it... no matter the situation.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Em claims that the mere sight of her cleavage can attract others, even if they can't justify it. Supposedly she uses this to distract enemies in combat and make "fast friends". Yeah... Karen tried the same excuse. Even Barbara thinks she just likes the way they look.
  • Emotional Powers: Em has a passive ability to affect the emotions of others. Those most affected by this are those who remain in her proximity for the longest time and/or bond with her on some intimate level. This effect can be a double-edged sword and also effect Em. If the emotional relationship between Em and the subject is a complex one, such as an intimate relationship built on love, the other person may be slowly driven insane due to an inability to understand their behavior and the luster of the 'artificial' emotions wearing off.
  • Expy: Her costume (right down to the gem in her forehead) and nature as a being based on belief and dreams makes her one of Ultra Comics.
  • Extreme Libido: She's very into sex, to the point it actually weirds off Alex who divorced her for being "too sexual".
  • Fangirl: To Batman, who rescued her from Mad Hatter in her youth. It also happens to her hero Code Name.
  • Flipping the Bird: In her casual clothes.
  • Gayngst: In the middle of her freshman year of high school, Em’s boyfriend broke up with her when some mean girls that were once Em’s friends exposed Em’s big secret: that she was bisexual and had kissed another girl at a swim meet. Devastated as only a teenager could be, Em fell into a dark place where she isolated herself from everyone, including the friends that did not care about her orientation.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: She's a Half-Endless Psionic Metahuman due to her father being Desire of the Endless and her mother being the human Unity Kincaid.
  • Heavy Sleeper: Em snores when she sleeps... really loudly, if her neighbor Angie Aimes is to be believed.
  • Hidden Depths: When not on patrol or working, she can usually be found at a bar or club.
  • Home Nudist: Frequently walks around in various states of undress, both in her house or Alex's. Is not an uncommon sight to find her sleeping naked on a couch. She also hardly seems bothered by anyone seeing her.
  • I Have Boobs, You Must Obey!: Em can put others in a suggestive trance upon visual contact with her breasts, supposedly. This effect may take a few minutes to work or happen instantly, Barbara is not even sure. Again, She highly doubts this power is real.
  • Imagination-Based Superpower: Em can change telekinetic energy into ectoplasmic physical tools, objects, weapons and other items. Em has a preference for creating war-blade style hand fans as weapons, often ridiculously oversized, or propeller-like fan blade projectiles, again often oversized to a ridiculous degree.
  • Lethal Chef: Em absolutely hates to do math or measure things. As a result, eating anything she baked is highly discouraged.
  • Mad Love: Her relationship with Alex isn't very healthy. Her erotomanic obsession with the Dark Knight had shifted to an unstable devotion to Alex due to his similarities to Batman. When Alex came upon the realization that she was unstable and asked for a divorce, she didn't really took it seriously. Many times, she would go to his home and break into Alex’s apartment. Sometimes he would be there, most of the times he was not. When he was there, they would talk or argue, either way, they would sometimes end up in bed with Em Not Staying for Breakfast by the time Alex would wake up.
  • Most Common Superpower: This one is subject to debate but only numerous occasions, Em has claimed that she possesses the rarest type of beauty there is: pure infinite beauty, specifically in the locale of her breasts. Yes, you read that right... her boobs. If Em is to be believed, no one, no matter how different their beauty standards may seem or their sexual orientation, can deny Em's bosom possesses infinite beauty. Again, if Em is to be believed, she can her bosom to coerce people to get whatever she so desires and that's just the easiest thing she can do with them. Em refers to this power as "Fan Service".
  • Naked First Impression: To Perry Demon (as she was walking around in the buff in her apartment), Monique Forcier (who found her sleeping naked in Alex's couch) and Catherine Cobert (who was heading back to Alex place for a steamy hook-up but ended up finding Em in his bed Ready for Lovemaking).
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: Part-Endless, Em's resilience is extremely high, allowing her to take numerous blows of internal or external assaults before succumbing to the effects. Interestingly, she still seems more bothered by stubbing her toe than being thrown into a building and immolated.
  • The Paralyzer: Fangirl is able to bind, imprison, paralyze and/or otherwise stop targets moving normally and possibly completely freezing them where they were. This technique usually is conjured through glowing constructs of pink and white ribbons or chains.
  • Power Dyes Your Hair: As Fangirl her brown hair turns blonde.
  • Primary-Color Champion: As Fangirl, Rose's outfit is blue and red, plus her hair turns golden.
  • Psychic Radar: Em can sense the thoughts of other people. Usually, she can only sense the surface thoughts, but they can also push farther into subconscious and memories with intense effort.
  • Reality Warper: A recently developed ability, Em is able to somehow telekinetically altering atoms and molecules of matter to creating folds in the fabric of space. Exactly how she does this or where she goes when she steps through these voids is unclear. However, she often employs this to disappear and reappear a few seconds later wearing completely different clothing.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Not only she's the twin sister of Killer Moth, her stepfather is Lazlo Valentin, better known as Professor Pyg. This makes Janosz Valentin her half brother.
  • Sdrawkcab Name: Fangirl when visiting in the fifth dimension her name "Em Parker" is flipped backwards into "Me Rekrap".
  • Secret Handshake: Instead of high-fives, when Emily and Angie greet each other or celebrate their antics, they give each other a "chest bing", usually accompanied by a celebratory shout of "Bing!"
  • The Slacker: Em is a slob. Her apartment is a mess. She claims to absolutely despise cleaning and has claimed she is allergic to bleach.
  • Sleepyhead: Can fall asleep at the drop of hat, but refuses to do so unless bored out of her mind or exhausted beyond all measure... or is drugged.
  • The Smurfette Principle: She's the only named female guard at Arkham.
  • Social Media Before Reason: Rose will stop whatever she is doing to read a notification from her smartphone.
  • The Tease: Em cannot help herself. She needs to flirt.
  • Telekinesis: By tapping into the Odic Field, Em can influence matter with their mind. Through practice, she has developed a number of signature uses to these abilities.
  • Telepathy: Em has the ability to sense another person's thoughts, communicate with them mentally, and affect their thoughts.
  • Thinking Up Portals: Em is able to create folds in the fabric of space in open doorways. When she steps through, she steps into the 'Waiting Room', a pocket dimension located outside normal time and space, which looks like a low quality motel room. When Em leaves this Waiting Room, she can return to any doorway she is familiar with or in a doorway she is aware of through persons speaking about her or in locations near persons Em maintains important relationships with.
  • Trademark Favourite Food: Rose's favorite snack is cheddar and sour cream flavored potato chips. She will polish a bag off by herself in a single sitting.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Em is known to get into some silly antics with her next door neighbor and best friend, Angie Aimes. The two have been compared to Wilma and Betty from the Flintstones.

    Stormguard (Alex Parker)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stormguard_earth_27.jpg
Click for Civilian Look

  • Amicable Exes: He and his ex-wife, Em Parker filed divorce on friendly terms as the two were always hot and heavy, but the minute he left her, those thoughts picked up where he had left off with them.
  • Cannot Talk to Women: Alex is known to be quite the flirt and is weak to the charm of women. This can lead to conflicts in his complicated relationship with Emily Parker. All it takes is a reciprocated signal for Alex to be swayed into making a less than strategic choice with a woman.
  • Casual Kink: Alex has a foot fetish and is on record as having said it was his favorite feature of his ex-wife.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: Alex not only received basic training at West Point, then further, more intensive training in various combat techniques after joining ARGUS, but he continues to further his combat techniques by training with his Challenger teammates who are well-versed in their own right. Alex has trained in at least 8 different fighting styles, ranging from: Boxing and Krav Maga, to Judo and Kung Fu.
  • Logical Weakness: There is no question about it that his armor provides him with an edge out in the field, but there is also a drawback. Despite having been injected with a serum which enables him to operate the suit when a normal human being cannot, the suit still puts considerable strain on the wearer. While short term there are no apparent affects, A.R.G.U.S. research personnel do warn Alex of the potential long term affects he may face in the years to come through continued use.
  • Morality Chain: Despite being divorced, Alex still has a soft spot for his ex-wife Emily and if she is put in danger or threatened, Alex’s tactical mind shuts off and his protective instincts kick in. This can lead to him compromising a mission in order to protect Emily from any harm even though she’s considerably more powerful than him nowadays.
  • Pop-Cultured Badass: Alex Parker, Greg Saunders, and John Jones of the Interagency Meta-Criminal Apprehension Taskforce all share a fondness for Classic Westerns.
  • Powered Armor: The D.A.E.D.A.L.U.S. Prototype Armor. The suit was built through the combined effort of Curtis Holt and Silas Stone, as well as their respective teams, using the combined resources of a joint venture between A.R.G.U.S., Kord Omniversal, and S.T.A.R. Labs. The prototype D.A.E.D.A.L.U.S. armor is without a doubt one of the most cutting-edge pieces of technology on the planet. What the suit is powered by exactly is classified intel, but it is a self-sustaining power source capable of recharging itself when not in use.
  • Social Media Before Reason: The first time Alex was on the Watchtower he took dozens of pictures. While most of them were deleted due to A.R.G.U.S. security protocols, he was able to keep a selfie he took with the planet Earth behind him. It’s been his Facebook profile picture ever since.
  • The Strategist: As a military officer, Alex was well trained in tactical analysis and strategic assessments. As a result, he has been chosen as the Chief Strategist for the Challengers because of his quick-thinking decision-making skills and unorthodox strategic approach to handling difficult situations even when under pressure. Affording him extra capabilities both on and off the battlefield.
  • Super Serum: After many tests, He underwent the first series of injections of a red enzyme known as Kaliber. Within days, the serum enhanced the fiber of Alex's muscles making him stronger, faster, and more resilient — and that was only Phase One.
  • Super-Strength: Nowhere near a Kryptonian or Amazon's level of strength, Alex is still considerably stronger than the average human. Able to go toe-to-toe with various enhanced persons in the field and not break a sweat, Alex enjoys his enhanced strength after being rather scrawny when he was younger.

    Gremlin (Angie Aimes)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gremlin_20.jpg
Click for Civilian Look

  • The Alcoholic: Though Angie hasn't gotten drunk enough for it to affect her work or vigilantism yet, she does like her alcohol... In particular, if she's having a girls' night out with her gal pals.
  • Alliterative Name: Angie Aimes.
  • Brainy Brunette: A very intelligent brunette engineer.
  • Comes Great Responsibility: Both in terms of having the responsibilities to focus on and in terms of not being fantastic at certain aspects, like making appointments or grocery shopping.
  • Excuse Me While I Multitask: Angie's mind is well-suited to mental juggling, even at strenuous situations.
  • Feminine Women Can Cook: Angie is well-versed in cooking and knitting. More importantly... she enjoys these things!
  • Full-Frontal Assault: Ends up facing the Charaxes-possessed Drury completely in the buff.
  • Genius Bruiser: Angie is an excellent engineer, able to understand technology on an intimate level.
  • Goggles Do Something Unusual: Has Telescopic, infrared, ultraviolet, and HUD displays.
  • Hidden Depths:
    • Angie can play acoustic, bass, and rhythm guitar. She can also quote movies, read a bunch of books, ice skate, paint, and sketch to considerable enough levels to be noteworthy.
    • Angie & Ellie make scrapbooks together at the beginning of the year, documenting the previous year. Typically there's one dedicated to Gremlin, Immolation, & Flag and one dedicated to their civilian lives.
    • Angie has an impressive little hydroponic garden that she typically uses for grapes. She sometimes grows veggies as well. She grows flowers in window boxes.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: Angie is a crackshot, especially with the firearms she herself has constructed, ensuring that their weight distribution is ideal for her preferences.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Her reaction at being told everything concerning Ellie's unborn baby who is God's reincarnation.
  • Logical Weakness: Angie's armor is somewhat susceptible to magnetic and electromagnetic attack. While Angie's own aura and abilities allows her armor some protection, a sufficiently powered electromagnetic attack could render her armor useless or require to use her entire focus to maintain structural integrity of the armor.
  • Mama Bear: She is a known mama bear and will feed people until they burst if they let her. Surprisingly, she is unaware that she does this.
  • Morality Chain: Ellie is not an easy child/teenager to raise.
  • Mr. Exposition: She's a member of The Network, who submit character files of the different characters of Earth 27.
  • Nanomachines: The armor is comprised of a localized nanobot colony that are more or less self-repairing. This unique construction allows the armor to autonomously equip itself within a matter of seconds, forming over Angie's body and returning to the shape of seemingly mundane objects in not in use.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: The nanites which comprise the armor are made from an extremely durable synthesized alloy that are able to join together to create a cohesive strength which allows the armor to withstand several blows from Class V strength opponents without being immediately compromised. The armor itself also augments the user's strength, allowing lifting/striking capabilities which match those of a Class III Enhance Strength category.
  • Official Couple: Now dating her Best Friend Em Parker/Rose Walker after years of Ship Tease now become official.
  • Parental Substitute: To Ellie, whom she adopted, although she tends to act motherly to anyone she gets the chance to.
  • Powered Armor: The Gremlin Armor. Angie has cutting edge weaponry and armor, built by hand to her exacting specifications to form a composite of so many different types of alien, human, and Infernal tech that it's difficult to tell what's what anymore.
  • Secret-Keeper: Angie's immediate family (grandma, parents, siblings, sister-in-law, & nephew) have known about Gremlin and Immolation for years.
  • Shock and Awe: Angie can control, shape, and manipulate electricity, electronics, and electromagnetic forces.
  • Stealth Expert: Even out of her suit, Angie has an eerie ability to appear out of nowhere... but according to Ellie, she can only use it when people are doing things they shouldn't be.
  • The Strategist: Among all the books she has read, Angie has spent a considerable time training her mind to be more strategic and tactical. She has a particular interest in guerrilla tactics.
  • Super-Toughness: The armor is able to withstand up to 3000 degrees Fahrenheit/1650 degrees Celsius but will begin to suffer a catastrophic failure and begin to melt past that; the downside is that it can only function in up to 20 degrees Fahrenheit/-29 degrees Celsius before catastrophic failure and system shutdowns begin.
  • Team Mom: Angie acts as the "den mother" of the Seven Soldiers, mostly she cooks and fixes gear.
  • Technopath: Angie can the instinctive knowledge needed to create, shape and manipulate technology and technological constructs, computers, robots, hardware and other devices that can be termed as "technology".
  • Textile Work Is Feminine: Angie knits when she's stressed out. Anybody she likes gets scarves, hats, mittens, and sweaters for Christmas and birthdays as a result.
  • Tranquil Fury: Sometimes Angie gets a little too worked up and electronics tend to start misbehaving.

    Immolation (Elissa "Ellie" MacKay
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/immolation_20.jpg
Click for Civilian Look

  • Buxom Beauty Standard: She's pretty well-endowed, and the cleavage on her hero outfit puts emphasis on her chest. This apparently led to her being nicknamed "Barbie" In-Universe.
  • Cain and Abel: The Abel to her brother Max's Cain, who murdered the rest of her family when they were young.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: Ellie likes to surprise people with baked goodies whenever she feels like it; she bakes when she's stressed out.
  • Combat Medic: Ellie has EMT/paramedic level medical knowledge and emergency medical application techniques.
  • Cool Sword: She also has the sword Senael used during the Blood Wars, which is inscribed with characters that translate to 'Saraqael', and will summon itself to her side with either a mental command or invocation of the name Saraqael.
  • D-Cup Distress: She isn't as self-conscious about her build, but she does try to bind her chest down with compression bras, probably due to being called "Barbie" constantly after she started developing a more woman-like body.
  • Flying Firepower: Through a specialized technique where Ellie 'rides' a stream of fire, she can 'surf' through the sky and her environment at rapid speeds. By shaping it into a pillar, slide or something similar and riding it, Ellie can move about both horizontally and vertically through her environment and by causes the fire below her to burst, she can launch herself in a fire-assisted leap. While her maximum speed is more or less equal to terminal velocity while descending, limited by gravity, her speed of ascension and lateral movement is usually around 350 MPH, more her reflexes warrant that she usually maintains a more comfortable cruising speed around 80 to 100 MPH.
  • Goggles Do Something Unusual: Telescopic, infrared, ultraviolet, and HUD displays.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: She's an Infernal-Human.
  • Happily Adopted: By Angie, who adopted her after rescuing her from an Archdemon.
  • Idol Singer: Ellie enjoys singing & playing John Denver, Taylor Swift, and Carrie Underwood. Despite the appearance, she has a very eclectic musical taste.
  • Insistent Terminology: The differences between devils and demons is something very important for her and something of a pet peeve when people confuse the two.
  • Kid Hero: She was just a kid when she started pursuing other Infernals with Flag, before Angie found her.
  • Lethal Chef: Zigzagged. Ellie, despite being completely inept at cooking, is able to make awesome French toast and lasagna.
  • Let Me Get This Straight...: This is essentially her reaction at summing up the whole Weird Worlds storyline.
  • Logical Weakness: Ellie's armor is extremely susceptible to magnetic-based attacks. This includes electromagnetic pulses.
  • Morality Chain: Ellie is especially concerned with the well-being of her friends and family. While Barbara prefers to think of this as a strength, Ellie has shown she is not able to think straight when their safety is put in jeopardy.
  • Multi-Melee Master: Ellie has developed proficiency with various weapons, including swords, knives, whips, lariats, ring-blades, and staves.
  • My Blood Runs Hot: Due to being an Infernal, Ellie's personal body temperature varies between 105 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Because of her internal body temperature, she has issues with dairy products.
  • Nanomachines: The armor is comprised of a localized nanobot colony that are more or less self-repairing. This unique construction allows the armor to autonomously equip itself within a matter of seconds, forming over Ellie's body and returning to the shape of seemingly mundane objects in not in use.
  • Navel-Deep Neckline: As Immolation her suit shows her cleavage.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: The nanites which comprise the armor are made from an extremely durable synthesized alloy that are able to join together to create a cohesive strength which allows the armor to withstand several blows from Class V strength opponents without being immediately compromised.
  • Omniglot: Ellie has conversational fluency in German & French, and passing knowledge of Latin & Gaelic.
  • Le Parkour: Ellie is a skilled traceusse of parkour and practices free-running to a noteworthy degree.
  • Playing with Fire:
    • By drawing energy from her aura and the ambient Odic Field, Ellie can seemingly create fire from nothing. The fire usually appears in her hands or appears as though bursting from her pores.
    • Ellie can negate fire by absorbing it into her aura or moving it away from flammable material, dispelling it by depriving it of its fuel source.
  • Powered Armor: Angie Aimes has developed Ellie's cutting-edge weaponry and armor using alien, human, and Infernal tech. The integrated collective memory banks of the nanites can function as a basic computer and communications systems with functions that include user biometric scanners, -audio/video recorder, signal jammers to avoid detection & eavesdropping, communications suite to the Network and the Sphere, GPS tracking system, USB & AV connectors, voice modulator, and tactile auditory receivers.
  • Religious Bruiser: Ellie is a fairly devout Irish Catholic, despite knowing she's going to Hell (Melothm anyway) no matter how good a person she is; this trait was directly influenced by her father, who went to church every Sunday and was a member of the choir.
  • Revenge Before Reason: She was so focused on killing her brother Max for doing the same to their family, she was willing to attack Trigon and Azazel despite being way over her head.
  • Royal Blood: Ellie's mother, Allison was a descendant of a royal bloodline from the infernal realm of Melothm.
  • Secret-Keeper: Three police personnel from Cedar Creek know Ellie's identity (and thus have figured out Angie's). Two are the officers that pulled Ellie out of her family's burning home. The two officers (Robert Williams/Officer Bill and William Roberts/Officer Bob; now detectives) have purposely taken Ellie in a few times for trespassing and criminal mischief when they catch her snooping around dangerous places alone, all in the effort of trying to protect her. Yes, this means she has a juvenile record.
  • Shrinking Violet: While her 'Aunt Em' is helping overcome this, if not pressed into being socially active, Ellie would be doomed to the life of a wallflower.
  • Socially Awkward Hero: Ellie struggles with being confident in her abilities. She is very dismissive of herself and her accomplishments. While her 'Aunt Em' is helping overcome this, if not pressed into being socially active, Ellie would be doomed to the life of a wallflower.
  • Super-Toughness: Ellie's armor is able to withstand up to 3000 degrees Fahrenheit/1650 degrees Celsius on its own, but when powered by Ellie's own personal aura, the armor seems to be immune to any temperature.
  • Tantrum Throwing: When angry, Ellie tends to throw small things - like staplers, spoons, car keys, and even Flag sometimes.
  • Teen Pregnancy: Discovers she's pregnant with Leon's child during On the Head of a Pin 4.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Ellie has three possessions that she prizes above the others. These are her father's acoustic and electric guitars, which were in storage when the house caught on fire, and a program Angie wrote for her. The acoustic guitar has been in the MacKay family for a few generations. The program was written to help Ellie learn songs; it takes any song file, separates the instruments, and creates sheet music. Any bit of it can then be muted while the rest plays along with showing the sheet music.
  • Underestimating Badassery: During Hell on Earth, she was so focused on killing her brother Max, she thought she could take on Trigon, despite Flag and Angie's warnings.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Not only can Ellie not swim, but if she is submerged or sufficiently drenched in water, she cannot use her pyrokinetic abilities until she dries.
  • Workaholic: Ellie keeps herself especially busier than most vigilantes with choir and lacrosse. Of course, Angie insisted that she have at least two such time-consuming activities to cut her 'vigilante' adventures to a minimum.

    La Cazadora (Yoli Fuentes)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/la_cazadora.jpg
Click for Civilian Look

  • Badass Longcoat: Wears a duster as La Cazadora.
  • Glowing Eyes: Her eyes glows blue in her Llorona form.
  • Healing Factor: Twice per day, during sunrise and sunset, Yoli can immerse herself in water and be rejuvenated to full health. This does not have to be a full-immersion except in instances of grievous bodily injury. For less severe injuries, a shower works wonders, and even dabbing a wet rag over a wound is often sufficient to heal the injury in regards to closing the wound and hiding it (the pain may remain, but Yoli's used to that).
  • Hidden Depths:
    • Yoli is obsessed with Día de los Muertos, not only for it being her birthday and the date of her death, but it was also her favorite holiday in life, too.
    • Yoli knows a lot of weirdly disturbing trivia and facts about places, landmarks, history, celebrities, movies, historical figures, and more.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: Yoli is highly-proficient with firearms, particularly her antique revolver known as Memoria Amorosa.
  • Kiss of Death: Using another magical gift channeled through her lips, Yoli can impart one of her 'Spirits' onto the recipient of her kiss. The target and Yoli will then share a psychic link, which Yoli is easily able to exploit. By way of the possessing spirit, Yoli can track her target perfectly, hijack their senses, listen in on their conversations, and even telepathically communicate with the target.
  • Logical Weakness: Yoli's spirits do no allow her to use her weapons or powers for violent means while on holy ground, but this in no way impairs Yoli's natural abilities or cause her any sort of discomfort.
  • Magic Knight: Yoli has a limited amount of magical ability as a Llorona, allowing her to take part in rituals and perform simple magic provided she has instruction on how to do so.
  • Of Corsets Sexy: As La Cazadora she's wearing a corset that shows her cleavage.
  • Omniglot: Yoli is a master linguist. Not only does she have an amazing knack for the spoken word, speaking no less than eight languages fluently (and close to a dozen others at conversational levels). She keeps this ability sharp through the constant use of word games like crosswords.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: Yoli's a Llorona a vengeful ghost from the Latin American folklore.
  • Power Limiter: Yoli's bullets draw from her the same magical energy that keeps her alive. A big firefight can leave her drained, causing her to slow down.
  • Spicy Latina: She's a Mexican born in a small town on the Yucatan Peninsula but moved around her native home of Mexico repeatedly throughout her childhood.
  • The Strategist: Yoli is a skilled tactician, particularly in regards to law enforcement and criminal practices.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Memoria Amorosa an antique revolver given to her by her late husband on the evening of her torture and execution. The spirits have transformed this weapon into an enchanted weapon worthy of the La Dama de la Caza, making it indestructible and tied to Yoli's own essence, allowing her to summon it to her hand no matter where it is. While the weapon can fire regular bullets, Yoli typically loads it with the mystical bullets made from the tears she cried the night she was killed.
  • Vengeful Ghost: She was killed by the brothers of the cartel by drowning her. Unknown to them was that the spring they had left her body floating in was the home of a collective of spirits whose presence made the pool sacred to the ancients. With the corpse and the brutal murder tainting the waters of the pool, the spring was no longer a viable residence for the spirits and fearing their own demise, bonded themselves to the corpse of Yoli, resurrecting her as a form of Llorona, enchanting the antique revolver her husband had gifted her, dressed in the duster and hat her husband had worn for his Día de los Muertos costume.

    Perry H. Demon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dbtzzvx_f1aa8215_5150_4d94_b74e_40dda9b3b53f.jpg

  • Artistic License – Music: Barbara guesses because Em Parker always wanted to learn how to play a ukulele that she has had in her apartment for a long time, Perry is obsessed with learning how to play and is making considerably fast progress.
  • Bizarre Taste in Food: When no one is looking, Perry will rip off pieces of house plants to snack on... even the plastic ones.
  • Blind Obedience: Despite his newfound sentience, Perry still has the darker impulses of a parademon. Though he is able to curve these pretty effectively, he often leans more toward more underhanded or brutal approaches to particular problems if leeway is given. If told to "Get Chinese food", he is more than likely to steal it than buy it. If told to "pick someone up and bring them here" he will likely gag, hood, and restrain them before delivering them.
  • Hidden Depths: Carries a deck of cards in his pocket and is always ready for a game of Texas Hold 'Em.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: Most Parademons are mindless servants of Apokalypse, but he's actually a cool guy.
  • Punny Name: Perry H. Demon.
  • Super-Senses: Perry possesses the heightened senses of any other parademons, including heightened hearing, heightened low-light vision, and a sense of smell so sharp he can smell a person's emotional state.
  • Super-Strength: As a parademon taskmaster, Perry has truly remarkable strength, categorized by ARGUS as Class III Enhanced Strength. Your average parademon solider would have Class II by comparison.
  • Super-Toughness: He can withstand low-caliber firearms and impacts from subjects with non-enhanced strength, though such attacks made with precision can stun or disorient them. Parademons' hide does not seem to offer as much protection against blades, however, and a skilled fighter with a sharpened instrument should be able to harm or kill them.
  • Tastes Like Chicken: Perry likes cats... with barbecue sauce.
  • Winged Humanoid: As a Parademon he can sprout wings.

    Attack Lass
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/attack_lass_commission_by_phil_cho_db1iz76_pre.jpg
Click for Civilian Look

  • Attack Reflector: Instead of absorbing kinetic energy, Attack Lass can simply redirect the kinetic energy of anything within a certain field. This field will appear to be filled with tiny bits of green particles or glitter.
  • Conspiracy Theorist: Al is absolutely convinced she has seen bigfoot and despite all evidence offered to her concerning the existence of other cryptids, she will adamantly refuse to believe they're a hoax.
  • Energy Absorption: Attack Lass can remove kinetic energy from the source and absorb into her body and use it to power her metahuman abilities. Typically, she absorbs this energy in a pulse of glowing green energy when she is struck by a kinetically charged attack that she was able to perceive, but she can also pull kinetic energy from her environment with a touch or from her close proximity. This effect can make bullets drop mid-air or seem to bounce off her skin, or cause a person's punch to stop inches from her face. It should be noted that absorbing kinetic energy from weapons held by another person or absorbing energy from a person directly causes the target's affected body parts to go numb and tingly. Finally, it's important to note that there is a limit to the amount of kinetic energy Attack Lass can absorb into her person in this manner and she should not be considered to be invulnerable to kinetic-based attacks, though attacking her with such is not advised.
  • Flying Firepower: If charged with kinetic energy, Attack Lass can use it to give her heightened leaping ability or even flight. When using this ability, Attack Lass leaves a trail of green energy particles or streaks of green light in her wake.
  • Hand Blast: If charged with kinetic energy, Attack Lass can dispel some energy in the form of green blasts of energy which hit like a punch at low levels and like a sledgehammer, wrecking ball, or locomotive at higher charges.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Attack Lass does not recall who she is or where she comes from. This could be exploited.
  • Nerd Glasses: Al likes to wear glasses. They are for aesthetic reasons only.
  • No Name Given: She refuses to say her real name.
  • Power Limiter: As mentioned previously, Attack Lass is not immune to kinetically charged attacks as she can only absorb a certain amount. Also, attacks that have different types of energy are a hazard for her as she may be able to absorb the kinetic energy of such attacks, the other energy may still be harmful.
  • Wave-Motion Gun: If charged with kinetic energy, Attack Lass can violently dispel it all in a blast that fills the area around her in a bright, burning green explosion.
  • The Xenophile: Al is a xenophile. She is very open-minded about alien cultures and actually seems to prefer aliens as romantic partners over humans. She also seems to be convinced that she was abducted by aliens in her forgotten past and describes the experience as the "most magical, most romantic, most sexually gratifying experience ever imagined..." and then she starts to trail off and drool.

    Flag the Imp (Flagerethon)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/flag_the_imp.jpg
Click for his demon form

  • The Atoner: Flag does feel remorse for failing to protect the MacKay family, though he will only admit as much when he is wasted.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: Most imps hold extremely low positions as court jesters, menial labor, cannon fodder, et cetera; but Flag is part of Senael's central court and actually considered to be one of his lieutenants, making him an extremely high-ranking devil, unheard of for an imp. Despite his epic laziness and crass behavior, Flag has shown on rare occasion that he has the power to back this up.
  • Cool and Unusual Punishment: For annoying him, Gabriel sends Flag to the Theatre Cosmic, trapping him at the plot of a cheesy medical drama.
  • The Gambling Addict: Flag has an addiction to gambling. For doing some chores, Flag gets an allowance from Angie. He uses it to gamble online.
  • Genius Bruiser: Again, Flag actually has a considerably potent mind. He just chooses not to apply it.
  • Healing Factor: Flag can rapidly regenerate. In other words, he can recreate lost or damaged tissues, including organs and limbs. Flag's brain cells and nerves can be completely repaired, to the point of keeping the mind intact. Decapitation can will not kill him but will reduce his effectiveness until he can reattach his head and allow the injury to mend. Flag is immune to nearly all forms of mundane contaminants (should he wish) and cannot develop cancerous cells except through magical or alien means uncommon to Melothm or Earth.
  • Loss of Identity: Aside from his general lazy attitude, the biggest hurdle for Flag's brain is its poor memory. While he never actually "forgets" he often loses access to old memories due to his mind's inefficient storage system. Even a telepathic probe of his mind will find accessing many of his memories taxing and difficult, though not impossible.
  • Lust: Flag is perpetually horny and seems pathologically unable to turn down an offer for sex. If he cannot find a partner, Flag will make do by himself, even if in public or will 'hump' furniture or the legs of nearby persons.
  • The Medic: Also known as "pyrocuratio", Flag has the ability to heal himself or others by using flames/fire/heat.
  • Morality Chain: He might deny it, but Flag has humans he has grown "fond of". While he is actually tasked with maintaining Ellie's life even at the cost of his own, he also seems to feel somewhat responsible for Angie's well-being and some of their close friends.
  • Omniglot: Flag speaks an extensive number of languages. The exact number is unknown. He often does not remember he can speak a language until he hears and starts speaking it without realizing he is doing so.
  • Playing with Fire: Flagerethon has the psionic ability to create, shape and manipulate fire. By drawing energy from her aura and the ambient Odic Field, Flag can seemingly create fire from nothing. The fire usually appears in his hands, the tip of his tail, or inside his mouth or nostrils.
  • Pocket Dimension: Flag seems to have access to a personal pocket dimension that he can reach into in much the same motion as a person reaching into pocket's of their clothing. The full contents of Flag's "stash" remain a mystery but he has been known to produce quite the selection of energy drinks and alcohol, his personal smart phone, and adult literature.
  • Psychic Link: Flag has a linked mind with Ellie MacKay which allows the two to share thoughts, memories, emotions or feelings. This is a passive effect but can be blocked should one wish to do so.
  • The Slacker: Flag is resistant to work or exertion; quite disposed to idleness.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: Flag talks to animals. If he is actually able to communicate with them or simply thinks he can is unclear. Either way, animals usually can't stand him.
  • Spontaneous Human Combustion: Flag can increase the agitations of atoms and molecules of highly flammable objects and substances to cause them to ignite. This process creates heat and light, that he can transform into proper fire and flames.
  • Summon Magic: Flag has the power to summon devils and other beings of Melothm for a variety of reasons.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: This imp can shapeshift his form, transforming and reshaping themselves potentially down to his genetic and cellular structure (though a certain infernal 'taint' will remain encoded to his genetic code). This is a magical effect and using it, Flag can impersonate others or turn into animals.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Pink. Flag is allergic to certain shades of pink. Being basked in pink light will cause him to sneeze and gag as if asphyxiating and he will writhe on the floor in pain. If he touches something that is flamingo pink, he will reels back in pain and will continue to scratch that part of his body for hours. Strangely, this seems to be a psychological effect as Angie and Ellie have dressed him in a pink dress before while he was passed out and he had no ill effect until he woke up in horror.

    Terry Bumbescu
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/terry_bumbescu_0.jpg

  • Be Careful What You Wish For: He began losing his new job due to fire burning down the clinic, his fiancee Stacey end ups cheating him with another woman. Enraged Terry when to walk to calm down, Terry adamantly said that the is better without him and what happened after he saved fifteen people including Stacey and his grandfather but to Terry's surprise is that they didn't recognize him. When wiped a soot from his face and told that he was Terry, He was met with Blank Stares. That is what Terry heard a voice "You Got Your Wish, No one knows that Terry Bumbescu exist... But these fifteen people are better off you still do exist".
  • Driven to Suicide: After losing his job and fiancée, he wishes he never existed and tries to kill himself first by stepping in front of a truck and later, when he woke up in morgue, grabbed the bed sheet laid over him and fashioned a noose but it just snapped under his weight.
  • Healing Factor: He has extreme resilience and regeneration abilities.
  • In-Universe Nickname: "Hairy Terry", "Big Guy" and "That One Guy".
  • Waking Up at the Morgue: After his first failed suicide attempt, he awakens naked and confused at his survival.

  • Badass Cape: His regal white cape as Empyrean.
  • Bad Liar: He's terrible at lying, as Angie quickly found out when questioning him.
  • Cool Sword: His Flaming Sword.
  • Endearingly Dorky: Being a huge dork is one of the reasons why Ellie likes him so much.
  • Everyone Is Related: Through his many angelic and demonic siblings, Etrigan and Senael are his nephews, while Mazikeen and Elaine Belloc are his nieces.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: Grows his hair in his enhanced look.
  • Glowing Eyes: His eyes glow golden as Empyrean.
  • Guardian Angel: He's the guardian angel to Angie Aimes and Ellie MacKay in disguise.
  • Hunk: Lucifer even calls him "beefcake" to his face.
  • I Am Who?: His reaction when Saraquael tells him and Donna that he's Apollyon, more specifically their reincarnation, representing his original angel self before he fell and became the female Abaddon. Thanks to Lucifer he comes to terms with this revelation.
  • Massive Numbered Siblings: He's the twin brother of Donna Rich/The Voice and the spirit sibling of Lucifer, Michael, Belial, Duma, Amenadiel, Araquel, Asmodel, Azazel, Gabriel, Heraphon, Lilith, Raphael, Remiel, Sandalphon, Saraquael, Suriel, Imogen, Traumiel, Uriel and Zauriel.
  • Our Angels Are Different: He's an Ariel, a type of angel of creativity by merits of the circumstances he was created but the substance that made him as an angel is from the beyond as is his consciousness. The Fanatics created him and made him to fulfill his purpose to love Ellie and fulfill their plans. An unlike the belief of Angel and Devil being enemies he pities the ones that are exiled to serve Lucifer.
  • Playing with Fire: As a Seraph he can control and manipulate pyrokinesis at will.
  • The Reveal: He's Empyrean an Ariel angel made by the consciousness of Heaven created by the Presence.
  • Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: He's a redhead angel with hazel eyes.
  • Voice Changeling: Due to his nature as an Ariel he's capable of perfectly imitating Eli's voice, and presumably that of others, to her annoyance.
  • Winged Humanoid: He has red angel wings on his back.
  • Younger Than They Look: Despite being an angel that lived for decades, in reality he's younger than most angels. His former self Apollyon was Really 700 Years Old instead.

    Fenris (Buddy MacCulloch

  • Feel No Pain: As a Werewolf they cannot be harmed by conventional weapons. Only a silver bullet or magic can pierce a werewolf's flesh.
  • Fiery Redhead: Downplayed. They always dyed their hair on occasions but their werewolf form also counts and has the typical Scottish temper.

  • Kryptonite Factor: Buddy finds silver uncomfortable to touch and weapons made of it can pierce their flesh.

  • Our Werewolves Are Different: Buddy is werewolf. As a werewolf, their powers wax and wane during the lunar cycle (being as their most potent the closer it is to the full moon and their weakest near the new moon).
  • Painful Transformation: While this transformation is usually mandatory on the nights before and after a full moon, as well the night of, Buddy has practiced a means of ritualistic self-control which allows them to transform at any time, including during the daylight hours.
  • Scotireland: They're from northern Scotland and they speak in a full Scottish accent.
  • Shapeshifting Excludes Clothing: Their transformation into a werewolf does not include their clothes, which either have to be removed before or be destroyed.
  • Super-Senses: Buddy has naturally acute senses, in particular, their sense of smell. They can correctly identify an individual merely by smelling a sample of their blood.
  • Super-Speed: Buddy as a werewolf is incredibly fast with great reflexes and agility. A typical werewolf can run at around 90 MPH for hours or end without exertion. Under a Full Moon, werewolves can reach sprinting speeds which breaks the sounds barrier (~700 MPH). Under a New Moon, most werewolves's sprinting speed is just around 250 MPH.
  • Wolf Man: Their basic wolf form has some feminine variant of this.

    Wildfire (Emma Campbell)

Click for Civilian Look

  • Ambiguously Bi: While she identifies as straight, Emma is “lesby-like” under certain conditions. Since she’s a sorority girl, Oracle assumes one condition is her getting tipsy drunk. Also, as an assassin, Emma is known to have done whatever it takes to complete a mission, up to and including the seduction of women or multiple partners. This, however, is not something Emma enjoys doing... at all.
  • Angsty Surviving Twin: Her twin sister Sofia was killed in a shootout when they were teens, which devastated Emma. During July, and going into August, Emma still dyes her hair brown in honor of her sister.
  • Badass Normal: She's a normal human and an Olympic class athlete, gymnast, acrobat, and aerialist capable of numerous complex maneuvers and feats as she’s been training since she was a child.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Emma is trained in Martial Arts, being proficient in Boxing, Aikido, Taekwondo, Shotokan Karate, Ninjutsu, and Muay Thai. Her personal fighting style is to keep her opponent at arm’s length and to punish them in close-quarters with elbows, knees, joint manipulation, and throws.
  • Blinded by Rage: With Emma’s eidetic memory, and her belief in "karmic balance" she can be a harpy when crossed. This leads her to make mistakes she wouldn’t normally make when level-headed.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: When she was sixteen, her By-the-Book Cop father was arrested on corruption charges. Days after his arrest, Emma’s father was found hanging in his jail cell and soon after her twin sister, Sophia, was caught in a shootout between Gotham criminals and the GCPD, and was killed by a cop's ricocheted bullet. Emma became emotionally devasted and withdrawn and started questioning the validity of such a "broken" system.
  • Escapism: Her talent with computers started as this, with her using the digital medium to escape her reality, especially after the death of her father and sister.
  • Fiery Redhead: Emma was given the name "Hariq Hayil" (Wild Fire) as a reference to her untamed mane of red hair and bouts of rage. But Emma isn’t always a redhead. During July, and going into August, Emma dyes her hair brown in honor of her fallen sister.
  • Goggles Do Nothing: Emma’s glasses are only for fashion. She has 20/20 vision, and only began to wear them when a guy she had a crush on mentioned that he likes girls who wore glasses.
  • Hidden Depths: On the rare occasions, she’s not with her savage sisters, Emma enjoys sewing, watching romantic comedies, as well as reading espionage and romance novels.

  • Photographic Memory: Emma can remember large amounts of information and data and easily recall it from memory without the use of mnemonic devices or tricks.
  • Shout-Out: Emma's current operative alias, Shana Owens, was inspired by another redhead in comics, Shana O'Hara aka Scarlett, from G.I. Joe.
  • Stocking Filler: According to chatter, Emma frequently walks around wearing fishnets and even has them on under her costume.
  • Trademark Favourite Food: Emma’s go-to drinks are wine coolers, freezing cold alkaline water, and cold peach and lemonade tea. Monique and Rina tease that she puts "at least 2 pounds of sugar" in her cup before she drinks it.

  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Monique is a trained and highly skilled hand-to-hand fighter. Some of the styles she’s shown proficiency in include Boxing, Ninjutsu, Jujutsu, Kickboxing, Capoeira, and Judo.
  • Battle Couple: Before the Assassinettes, she was partnered with Tatiana Forcier, whom she romanced and later married.
  • Cultured Badass: Being from St. Roch, Monique is obviously a fan of jazz. She listens to the music while training.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: Monique’s physical capabilities are at peak or near peak perfection for a woman her height and weight and can use her meta-gene telekinesis to augment her speed, agility, and strength to devastating effect.
  • Enfant Terrible: By the time she was eight or nine, Monique had already begun to develop significant sociopathic tendencies, stemming from having watched her criminal kill and torture people. When this behavior was noticed by her parents, they began concealing much less from her and actually encouraged her behavior.
  • Happily Married: With Tatiana Forcier.
  • The Leader: Schooled in the ways of business and leadership by Talia and coupled with her gifted intellect, Monique has an extensive understanding on what it takes to run or lead a business and was officially appointed as the leader of the Assassinettes.
  • Morality Chain:
    • Though she wouldn’t admit to it out loud, Monique enjoys having Rina and Emma around and is the closest thing she’s had to sisters she could trust. Monique would walk into an obvious trap to save or spare them, but given her devotion to Talia, I wonder if she’d leave them alone if Talia ordered her to do so.
    • Monique's one true love and wife, Tatiana is both Monique's greatest strength and greatest weakness. If Tatiana is threatened, woe be unto the fool who dares do such as they earned the eternal ire of Silhouette.
  • Official Couple: With her wife Tatiana Forcier.
  • Omniglot: After learning the basics of travel from her deceased parents, and accelerated by her League training Monique is an experienced world traveler. As a result, Monique is multilingual and is fluent in Chinese, French, Spanish, and Italian. She is conversational in Arabic and knows key phrases in Russian.
  • Pop-Cultured Badass: Monique is a closet Soap Opera fan. From noon until 3 pm, she can be found in her room or office at Lamda Psi behind locked doors, watching her stories. Her soap watching meal includes chocolate covered raisins and/or milk balls, potato chips, and Soder Cola.
  • Pragmatic Pansexuality: She identifies as a lesbian, but will play the part of "straight" woman for the sake of a mission.
  • The Rival: She has a rivalry with an assassin named Dragonfly, who is one of the three members of Nyssa al Ghul's personal guard.
  • Sensory Overload: When asserting her powers in excess, Monique can suffer acute migraines which while may hinder her powers, do not seem to negate them completely. On occasion, Monique gets migraines without having pressed herself beyond her usual limits.
  • Shout-Out: Monique's current operative alias/cover, Aveline Guillory, was inspired by Aveline de Grandpre, the protagonist of Assassin's Creed III: Liberation.
  • Telekinesis: Monique is a powerful psionic warrior capable of moving objects and people by tapping into the Odic field and converting the potential energy there into kinetic results. Monique seems to enjoy using her powers in more forceful ways than in delicate ways (i.e. shattering a concrete slab versus doing her makeup).
    • Barrier Warrior: Monique can use her powers to form a telekinetic shield of energy to protect her from common small arms fire.
    • Draw Aggro: This ability likely earned Monique the name "Raqis Alzili"/Shadow Dancer as she’s able to use her telekinesis to briefly augment her already daunting physical capabilities to low superhuman levels. This ability does require some focus to upkeep and while her condition is so enhanced, she unable to use her telekinesis for other effects.
    • Psychic Strangle: Used for intimidation, interrogation, or just for “fun” purposes, Monique can use her telekinesis to strangle or choke her target.
  • Telescoping Staff: Monique’s favorite weapon made from metallic composites. With a push of a hidden stud on the staff, she can separate it into two equal pieces, or activate a hidden blade which gives her a naginata as a bonus. Through her League training, Monique is an expert at Bojutsu as well as Escrima and Singlestick.
  • Training from Hell: Went through this under Talia's tutelage. At night, Monique would occasionally be awoken from her sleep to fight herself struggling to stay as the more intensive parts of her training consisted in random drowning, sparring sessions with a knife to the throat, and being told she had been injected with a poison and had minutes to deduce the poison used by its symptoms and procure the antidote.
  • Traumatic Superpower Awakening: Her parents got into a skirmish with Talia al Ghul and her men, when the bullets started flying around her, Monique's meta-gene activated in a telekinetic explosion that killed her mother and many others around her. Seeing the potential in the teen girl, Talia decided that Monique should not share her parents’ fate and took her in.

  • 13 Is Unlucky: Rina is superstitious and refuses to leave the house on Friday the 13th.
  • Alchemy Is Magic: Rina has an innate understanding of both occult and mundane chemistry, as well as herbology and can utilize Alchemy, the mystical art pertaining to potion crafting, elemental transmutation, creating golems, making permanent changes to the state of matter (such as making glass malleable or durable), and various other forms of elemental and life-force manipulation- mostly through the use of potions, elixirs, and mystical oils.
  • Badass Biker: She loves motorcycles. Whether driving them herself or riding on the back, with her favorite motorcycle the Suzuki Hayabusa. Even the sound of one has been known to put her in a better mood.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: She is a remarkable hand-to-hand fighter, having trained in all the usual arts that the League of Assassins is known for, and being a personal pupil of Lady Shiva herself. Rina's known styles of fighting include Aikido, Capoeira, Judo, Karate, Kobudo, Krav Maga, Ninjitsu, Shandong, and Tae Kwon Do.
  • Casual Danger Dialogue: Rina tends to flirt, jest, and taunt- even when situations are dire. Even though this has bitten her in the backside more than once, she continues this behavior without any signs of stopping.
  • Character Tic: Rina has a compulsion to tap her fingers on nearby objects when bored and will rest her chin on fist if interested in a subject. She also often clasps her hands behind her back when angry or agitated.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Rina is a trained kunoichi with a variety of assassination techniques. While Rina often employs poison as her favored means of extermination, she has a habit of being up close and personal as the poison takes effect, deriving a sick pleasure from watching the target's last moments and the realization of death in their eyes. To achieve this, Rina has become a master of seduction. According to Talia, Rina is likely the most talented and skilled of the Assassinettes.
  • Dark Magical Girl: As a Homo Magi, Rina has access to Magic, the use of rituals, symbols, actions, gestures, and language to exploit supernatural forces to varying degrees. Rina herself remains a novice in general spell-crafting, only able to perform a few cantrips and low-level tricks but she is exceptionally versed in ritual crafting and practice.
  • Disappeared Dad: Rina is the product of her mother having an affair with her employer, which caused her to move across the country to escape her shame, and thus Rina grew up without a father.
  • Does Not Like Spam: Rina hates sushi... with a passion. She also hates hot drinks and only drinks beverages which are ice cold.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: Her physical capabilities are at peak or near peak perfection for a woman her height and weight. She is on par with most Olympic athletes in regards to her speed, strength, coordination, and stamina. But she can augment these abilities to a certain degree with elixirs and mystical rites.
  • Flower Motifs: Both her Code Names were derived from a flower. Rina went by the title of Nightshade for many years as a reference to the deadly flower. When one of her lovers remarked that another name for the flower is Belladonna, and insisted it would make a better name as it also meant 'Beautiful Woman', Rina decided to agree and slowly began to use that as her new operational alias.
  • Hidden Depths: Rina's hobbies include photography (she is an avid shutterbug herself as well as an amateur model and collector of artistic nudes), meditation, and gardening.
  • Master Poisoner: Rina is a master in the creation, application, and treatment of poisons and toxins. As a result of her mastery, Rina has developed immunities to all forms of common poisons and her mystical insight into the art of alchemy gives her further resistance to such toxins.
  • Matricide: Narrowly averted. One day, when Rina was fifteen, her neglectful mother came home and found that Rina had not done the litany of chores her mother had ordered her to do that morning. In that moment, Rina decided she simply had enough and unleashed her entire childhood’s worth of pent up rage and aggression, culminating with nearly killing her mother with a fireplace poker. Unable to deal the final blow, Rina left her mother sobbing and bleeding on the floor and fled home, right into the League of Assassins custody. The League handled her mother and the staff that witnessed Rina's fit of rage, making all of them victims of a "tragic house fire".
  • Morality Chain: It might seem odd that Rina is capable of the emotion, but Rina does seem to genuinely love Monique and Emma. Because of this, Rina would walk into an obvious trap to save or spare them.
  • Never Hurt an Innocent: Rina refuses to harm children or perform any killings in front of children. Once when she accidentally violated this code, she kidnapped the child and crafted a memory loss potion to spare the child the ghastly sight so that they may retain their innocence.
  • Official Couple: With Nathan Scofield.
  • Omniglot: World traveler and born of mixed heritage, Rina speaks many languages. She is especially fluent in English, Japanese, Arabic, Mandarin, Cantonese, Latin, and most of the 'romantic' languages such as French, Italian, and Spanish. As a mystical practitioner, Rina is able to comprehend the language of Enochian and while she can understand and read it to a functional degree, she cannot speak it. She is also conversationally adept in Vietnamese and is currently learning to speak Greek as well as Themysciran.
  • Out with a Bang: She was given the title of "Mut Hulu" (or "sweet death") after the method of her initiation kill saw the victim dying with a pleasured smile on his face, which has become something of a Calling Card for her since.
  • Parental Neglect: As Rina grew up, she rarely saw her negligent mother who was always working and found herself raised by the combined efforts of the household nanny, maid, chef, gardeners, mentors, and tutors. One of her self-defense instructors happened to be Sandra Wu-San (Lady Shiva) who begun to raise Rina into being a recruit to the League of Assassins.
  • Really Gets Around: Known to be something of a promiscuous woman, Rina is supposedly an actually devoted lover. She just expects her lover to understand that sex and love are not intrinsically connected.
  • Sadist: Rina's desire to watch others experience pain and death often causes her to neglect more careful actions in favor of being up close and personal.
  • Seers: Through a mystical discipline she has mastered, Rina can discern a person's past with a touch, as well as the past events of her location. The exact potency of the visions received varies greatly but strong emotional events take precedence. With focus, Rina can try to 'hone' in on a specific memory or event but this requires intense concentration and a willing or docile subject.
  • Sex Goddess: One of her favorite assassination methods has her bedding her victims and them poisoning them post-coitus. Her prowess in bed is such that they still die with pleasured smiles on their faces.
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: Very comfortable with her body, she Sleeps in the Nude and is hard-pressed to get dressed until she's had breakfast.
  • Stock Ninja Weaponry: Rina specializes in the use of a pair of customized sai, usually treated with poison and special mystical oils which make them incredibly more dangerous and impossibly unpredictable. Rina often employs her sai to lock-up the weapons or limbs of her opponents and then taunting them by whispering in their ears or giggling with delight as she watches them struggle to be free.
  • Supernatural Sensitivity: Rina possesses a heightened awareness of the paranormal, allowing such feats as being able to see and hear extradimensional beings, such as spirits and demons, that are normally invisible to humans. This ability also allows her to sense ambient mystical energy and detect the presence of things such as ley lines and places of mystical significance.
  • Sweet Tooth: Rina has a sweet tooth and is said to have once spared a target's life for a whole day because she was in such an excellent mood after helping herself to a rather delicious slice of German chocolate cake from their kitchen.
  • Tattoo as Character Type: Rina supposedly has two tattoos on her body. A dragon and a rose. Barbara cannot verify where these are on her body, but she bets Nathan Scofield knows where to find them.
  • The Tease: She enjoys to tease and flirt with people, be it an opponent or an ally.
  • The Vamp: She is a master of seduction and actively enjoys playing the role of Honey Trap. She's also so skilled in bed her targets are known to die smiling, even after she poisons them post-coitus.
  • Wouldn't Hurt a Child: She refuses to harm children or perform any killings in front of children. Once when she accidentally violated this code, she kidnapped the child and crafted a memory loss potion to spare the child the ghastly sight so that they may retain their innocence.
