    In General
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: This reimagined version of the Turtles and Splinter are actually natives of Star City (Green Arrow's home turf) as opposed to the Big Applesauce of New York City in most adaptations since New York in Earth-27 has been wiped out from the map following the "Manhattaning".
  • Anthropomorphic Transformation: They went from regular turtles to humanoid turtles, while Splinter is a human reincarnated into a rat that became anthropomorphic. Jennika is the only one who was once human.
  • Badass Family: Undeniably so, as they regularly fight off hordes of aliens, monsters, and maniacal humans.
  • Badass Normal: Well, in comparison to most other mutants anyway. The Turtles all rely on their martial arts training, incredible teamwork, and iron will against aliens, superpowered beings and other villains who may have more unnatural capabilities that can be used in battle.
  • Bald Head of Toughness: By virtue of the Turtles being hairless reptiles and very tough ninjas thanks to their training and Healing Factor.
  • Color-Coded Characters: As always, Leonardo is blue, Raphael is red, Donatello is purple, Michelangelo is orange, Venus is white and Artemisia is yellow.
  • Four-Temperament Ensemble: Leonardo the melancholic, Donatello the phlegmatic, Raphael the choleric and Michelangelo the sanguine.
  • Happily Adopted: The Turtles love and respect Splinter as if he were their real father.
  • Healing Factor: All Mutagen mutants have a healing factor and they're no exception.
  • Metamorphosis: From turtles to humanoid turtles, and from a rat to a humanoid rat.
  • Named After Somebody Famous: The Turtles are named after iconic Renaissance artists.
  • Super-Toughness: The turtles' shell is about as resilient as kevlar.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Though pizza is the favorite food of all four turtles, Michelangelo eats it more obsessively than the other three.
  • Two Girls to a Team: Thanks to the addition of Venus and Artemisia.
  • Weapon-Based Characterization: Each of them has their trademark weapons; Leo has his Twin Katanas, Ralph's Dual Sais, Mikey's Nunchucks and Donnie's a Martial Arts Staff. Venus prefers the tonfas, while Artemisia fights with Clawed Gauntlets.

    Leonardo "Leo" Splinterson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tmnt_leo.jpg

Leonardo is the calm, focused, and disciplined leader of his brothers, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Nicknamed "Leo".

  • The Ace: He's The Leader and The Paragon. Although, all of this overachieving is nicely offset by the fact that he's a giant dork and still doesn't really get that much respect from his brothers.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: Consistently the most skilled Turtle, he falls into the leadership role by default.
  • Berserk Button: More often than not, Raphael is this. Especially when the latter disobeys him or mocks him for being a Teacher's Pet.
  • Blue Is Heroic: His signature blue bandana and he's the leader of the turtles.
  • Determinator: Even when he's up against an impossibly powerful enemy, Leo won't give up until he's unconscious or worse.
  • Dual Wielding: He has twin katanas as his weapon of choice, as with most versions. He named both of them as Musashi and Kamiizumi.
  • Emotions vs. Stoicism: A lot of what he puts up with has him wondering if he should fight or remain still.
  • Fanboy: Through he loves all animated series, his favorite is Space Heroes, an old cartoon of what looks like a cheap rip-off of another sci-fi series. Leo found the entire collection of VHS tapes in a dumpster. He often refers to his team as "Hero Turtles" and not "Ninja Turtles".
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: As the leader of the group, Leo gets the shiny swords.
  • The Leader: He is the Levelheaded and Charismatic type. He's the most balanced and mature of his brothers, and he knows how to use people's skills.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Raphael's red, in terms of their headbands and in personality.
  • Samurai: Leonardo is technically a ninja, but a lot of the tenets he quotes are in line with samurai. He had Splinter teach him Japanese and esoteric practices of spiritual nature, which his brothers had little interest in.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite pizza toppings are onions, black olives, green peppers and mushrooms.

    Raphael "Raph" Splinterson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tmnt_raphael.jpg

Often misunderstood, or dismissed as the dark one, Raphael is known to go to the extremes with his anger. He has a hard time handling his temper, pressured from the unfair facts of life. Most known for his twin sai, red bandanna, and the nickname "Raph" from his brothers and friends.

  • Aloof Big Brother: Partially inverted. He's younger than Leonardo making him an aloof little brother, but older than Donatello and Michelangelo, playing it straight for them, as he has more of a harsher personality and has a lone wolf mentality whenever he is feeling pressured.
  • Badass Biker: He is shown to be a skilled motorcyclist and has his own motorcycle called the "Shell Cycle".
  • The Big Guy: As with many of other versions, Raphael is the strongest of the Turtles; whenever there's a need for brute strength, he's the turtle to call.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: He have three deep cuts on his left cheek due to a cat slashed him with multiple cats when he tried to pet the cat as a child which would later developed his actual fear of cats.
  • Hot-Blooded: Raphael has a very fiery temper and a determined willpower and will often be the loudest of the turtles approaching Boisterous Bruiser territory.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's more abrasive than the others, but is still as heroic as the other Turtles. He loves his brothers, friends, and adopted father unconditionally.
  • Real Men Eat Meat: His favorite toppings are all meats.
  • Red Is Heroic: His signature red bandana, and while a bit rough, he's the co-leader of the turtles.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: He is the red to Leonardo's blue, as reflected by the color of their headbands.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite pizza toppings are pepperoni, Italian sausage, bacon and beef.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: While he won't openly admit it, Raphael is afraid of flying, cats and cockroaches. He can deal with flying by pulling his mask over his eyes and he can bring himself to tolerate Mikey's pet cat, he is constantly glaring at Klunk. Raphael's fear of cockroaches is a different story as Raph will visibly lock up before bolting away.

    Donatello "Donnie" Splinterson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tmnt_donnie.jpg

Donatello is the scientist and engineer of the turtles. Most known for his Bo Staff, purple bandanna, and the nickname "Donnie" or "Don" as called by his brothers and friends. He is responsible for all the turtles' vehicles of transportation.

  • Badass Bookworm: He's an Omnidisciplinary Scientist par excellence as well as a skilled warrior.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He may be the most gentle of the Turtles, but you don't want to earn his genuine wrath.
  • Beware the Quiet Ones: Usually the quietest, most thoughtful member of the team, but also one of their most crucial assets and leaders.
  • Big Little Brother: Despite being younger than Leo and Raph, Donnie is the tallest out of the Turtles at the height of 5'3" / 1.6 m.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Considering that he's self-taught, living in a sewer, and working mostly with scavenged junk, Don's inventing abilities are downright super-reptilian.
  • Geek Physiques: Donnie is the tallest of the four brothers, standing half a head taller than Raph or Leo, and is skinny compared to the others.
  • Purple Is Powerful: His signature purple bandana, and while not the best fighter, he's certainly the smart one among the turtles.
  • The Reliable One: He's the one that builds most of their supplies and support items that his brothers rely on him for.
  • The Smart Guy: In terms of science and technology he outclasses his brothers with his intellectual brain and often comes up with their most valuable resources "Donatello, the brains of the bunch."
  • Teen Genius: He is a teenage, well-trained ninja who is a technological genius, acquainted with alien technology, and well-versed in fields such as biology and chemistry, seen when he invents retromutagen (with his brother's help at least).
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite pizza toppings are chicken, mushroom, green pepper and tomatoes.

    Michelangelo "Mikey" Splinterson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tmnt_mikey.jpg

Mikey is the comedian of the brothers, always making a joke. He is the fastest fighter of the group with his two nunchaku. Most known for his orange bandanna, the nickname "Mikey" as called by his Brothers and Friends, and the signature phrase of "cowabunga".

  • The Baby of the Bunch: As is typical of most portrayals of Mikey, he's the youngest, most immature and spacey of his brothers, though no less dangerous.
  • Badass Adorable: Silly, loves comic books, childish, always willing to crack a joke and and can kick tons of asses with his nunchucks.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He's the friendliest and silliest of the Turtles, but he can be downright dangerous when he wants to be.
  • Big Eater: Thinks of pizza far more than his brothers.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: He's every bit as good a fighter as his brothers and Splinter even says that he has more natural talent than all of them, but is also the most laid-back and prone to goofing off.
  • Character Catchphrase: The most famous "Cowabunga!"
  • The Gadfly: He loves to rile up his brothers, especially Raphael, by annoying them with puns, jokes and chatter at inappropriate moments. Sometimes he's not annoying them on purpose, but other times he definitely is.
  • Hero-Worshipper: As always, he's a major superhero fanboy. He loves hearing about Green Arrow's exploits in particular.
  • Keet: Extremely energetic, has a childlike persona, and goofs off a lot.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: As always, Mikey is the least serious of the turtles and the funny guy of the group.
  • Skilled, but Naive: Mikey has very great potential to be a good ninja with his strength and skill but he's just way too lazy and arrogant to improve his abilities.
  • The Slacker: Splinter even calls attention to the fact that he's the most naturally talented, but trains the least.
  • Taught by Television: He knows how to do a blood transfusion thanks to watching enough medical dramas.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite pizza toppings are pepperoni, ham, pineapple and jalapeño.
  • Vibrant Orange: His headband is orange and he's fun-loving, energetic, and even goofy.

    Splinter (Hamato Yoshi)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/splinter_erath_27.jpg

A rat mutated by exposure to the mutagenic ooze, Splinter raised the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and trained them in the art of ninjutsu. He is also the mortal enemy of Shredder. He is a father figure to the turtles and is easily able to fight them all at once.

  • Acting Your Intellectual Age: He might be only 16 years old as a rat, but acts and looks much older thanks to his memories as Hamato Yoshi.
  • Action Dad: He is the Turtles' adoptive father and master ninja mentor.
  • Feeling Their Age: Splinter was already aged past the lifespan of a normal domesticated rat when he mutated and as such is quite old. Though he has shown himself able to fight with ample vigor in brief spurts, a long drawn-out fight could be the end of him. Something of which he seems to be quite aware.
  • Old Master: He's much older than the Turtles, but is still a capable fighter when he needs to be.
  • Papa Wolf: For all of his snark with his disciples, he genuinely loves them. Threatening them is a good way to get Splinter to show how much ass he can still kick.
  • Prehensile Tail: Splinter has trained his tail to be somewhat prehensile. He often uses this to trip or ensnare opponents, or disarm them.
  • Reincarnation: Hamato Yoshi's soul reincarnated into the body of the mutated rat Splinter.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Yoshi was adopted by Ra's al-Ghul alongside Saki, making him foster brother of Talia, Nyssa and Dusan al-Ghul. That would make him adoptive uncle of Damian Wayne, Connor Hawke and Malcolm Merlyn.
  • Was Once a Man: Originally a human named Hamato Yoshi, he was killed by Shredder, reincarnated as a rat who was mutated into a more humanoid appearance.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Hamato and Oroku Saki were adopted brothers and best friends, but different paths in life have now turned them into bitter enemies.

    Venus de Milo
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/venus_de_milo_earth_27.jpg

  • Adaptation Dye-Job: Her bandana was originally cyan, but here it's white.
  • The Atoner: After being freed from her Split Personality, she decides to make amends with the other turtles, even if she wasn't on full control.
  • Basement-Dweller: April has decided to let her stay in her basement, hoping her sister Robyn doesn't have to change a fuse or something.
  • Kung-Fu Wizard: She is a shinobi who inherited some mystical 'chi magic' abilities.
  • Light Is Good: Wears a white bandana and she's a friendly, if amnesiac, turtle. Or maybe not...
  • Manchurian Agent: She was unknowingly sent by Shredder to capture Splinter and obtain his blood, not being aware of the personality implanted in her mind by Chikara.
  • Odd Name Out: Venus was named after the famous armless statue of the Greek/Roman Goddess of Love due to her habit of drawing her arms into her shell as a means of self-soothing when she's nervous, frightened, or just uncomfortable. Yes, April is aware that the name doesn't fit the theme of the other turtles.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Her real name is Mei Pieh Chi.
  • Psychic Link: By some unknown means, Venus is able to tap into the quasi-psychic or spiritual connection of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
  • Split Personality: Leatherhead reveals that Kitsune used her magic to take control of her mind, creating two personalities, the sweet and innocent "fake" personality and the "real" ruthless personality that serves the Foot Clan.
  • Stock Ninja Weaponry: Fights with a pair of silver-white tonfas.

    Artemisia (Jennika Smith)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/artemisia_earth_27.jpg

  • Action Girl: As a former Foot Clan member-turned-female Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, this is a girl you do not want to mess with.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Retroactively. IDW!Jennika is eventually revealed to be bisexual, whereas Earth-27's Jennika is heterosexual.
  • Badass Teacher: Though she is an exceptional trainer in martial arts, she can teach any subject which she has sufficient familiarity with.
  • Broken Pedestal: Grows increasingly disillusioned with Karai and the Foot Clan for turning her brother into a mutant, to the point she refuses her orders and helps the turtles. This makes Karai run her through with a sword.
  • Cool Big Sis: Takes on this role after joining the team. Even refers to herself as their big sister.
  • Emergency Transformation: To save her life after being stabbed by Karai, Mikey and Raphael gave her a blood transfusion, transforming her into a mutant turtle.
  • Friend to All Children: Jenny has a soft spot for children and is a skilled instructor, particularly who working with children.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Tried to make her brother Rob leave the Sons of Batman to keep him safe. He did, but not only did he join the Foot Clan, he volunteered for a dangerous procedure that turned him into a humanoid rhino.
  • Hidden Depths: At first it might look she has an icy demeanor but her true nature features a more complex personality when she lets her guard down. She enjoys good food, spirited debates, and has a soft spot for children of all ages. As to her thoughts on pizza? She likes her Hawaiian style.
  • Named by the Adaptation: In the comics her last name was unknown, but here it's the common surname of Smith.
  • Parental Abandonment: Her father Jeffrey Smith abandoned her, her mother and half-brother Robert before she was even born, while her mother suffered from MacGregor's Syndrome forcing the siblings to take her of her and later died during the Cataclysm of the Glades. She thought her mother's death was a Mercy Kill.
  • Pet the Dog: Tells a (quite incompetent) ninja trainee named Jason to just quit since he has no aptitude for being a ninja rather than punishing him for his carelessness.
    • While hiding her identity she also tries to make her half-brother Rob Smith, who had joined the Sons of Batman, to leave Gotham before conflict between the Foot and other Gotham criminals explodes.
  • Related in the Adaptation: She's the half-sister of Rob Smith/Rocksteady, Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, Giselle Smith/Gazelle of the Advena Legion and Samuel Smith, an enemy of the WildC.A.T.S. Her uncle is "Shotgun" Steven Smith of the GCPD, and her grandfather is "Slaughterhouse" Scott Smith, also enemy of the WildC.A.T.S. Her ancestor Simon "Slow Go" Smith was a bounty hunter that befriended Jonah Hex.
  • Theme Naming: Her new name Artemisia, comes from italian Baroque painter Artemisia Gentileschi
  • Token Non-Human: She's the only mutant who is member of the Pest Control.
  • Token Human: She's the only ninja turtle to be a human before she was a mutant.
  • Wolverine Claws: She prefers to fight with clawed gauntlets.
  • Younger Than They Look: Her severe expression betrays that she's only 18 years old.

Pest Control

  • Badass Normal: With the exception of Jennika, the group is made up of normal humans going against Ninjas and mutants.
  • Chess Motifs: They use chess pieces as code names; Casey is King, April is Queen, Angel is Knight, Irma is Rook, Keno is Pawn and Chet Manley is Bishop.
  • Vigilante Man: They are a group of vigilantes who operate separately from other heroes of Star City, focusing mostly on the Purple Dragons and their Foot allies.

    April O'Neil
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/april_oneil_earth_27.jpg

A young woman who cared for Splinter and the turtles pre-mutation, she was rescued from Foot Ninjas by the Turtles. After overcoming her initial fear of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they have since formed a close friendship.

  • Action Girl: Training to be a kunoichi and she's very good with her dual batons.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In the comics her sister Robyn is the younger sibling, but here Robyn is older than April.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Casey likes to call her Red.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: As April puts it, she loves Casey but he drives her crazy.
  • Brains and Brawn: She's the brains to Casey's brawn.
  • Composite Character: Her many interests are a nod to the different professions April has had in various TMNT media.
  • Covert Pervert: She found out that Lou Kamaka is bisexual reading an article on the Casa Erotica magazine. For research purposes. Will Magnus doubts that.
  • Daddy's Girl: Very close to her father Kirby J. O'Neil ever since her mother died.
  • Faint in Shock: She understandably passes out when she first met the Turtles, again when she realized they were talking turtles, and a third time when she found out the turtles and Splinter used to be her pets.
  • Fangirl: She's a big fan of Green Arrow, so when she mistook Casey for Arrow during their first meeting, she kissed him and took a selfie. It was quite amusing for the Turtles.
  • Missing Mom: Her mother Elizabeth O'Neil née Forbes passed of a brain tumor when she was eleven.
  • Mr. Exposition: She's a member of The Network, who submit character files of the different characters of Earth 27.
  • Official Couple: With her boyfriend Casey Jones.
  • Online Alias: Her Network ID is 'TurtleGurl84'.
  • Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: She's a redhead with green eyes, a ninja in training and a good friend of the turtles.
  • Squee: Squeals in excitement when she thinks she has met Green Arrow, not knowing it's actually Casey Jones.
  • Team Mom: Despite her young age, she does have an almost matronly attitude towards the Turtles. Helps that she knew them pre-mutation, and was even the one who named them.
  • Trauma Button: She fears bats cause they remind her of an encounter with the Man-Bat.
  • Unfazed Everyman: After her initial scream and/or faint upon meeting the turtles, she has becomes this.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She's rather uneasy when it comes to bats ever since a incident in her childhood.

    Casey Jones

Click for Puckster Look

Arnold Casey Jones Jr. is a hockey-masked vigilante who helps the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in times of need. He is very close to Raphael and is currently in a romance with April O'Neil.

  • Badass Normal: He doesn't have any powers and most of his skills are self-taught.
  • Bash Brothers: With Raphael.
  • Book Dumb: Not a good student, but with a fair amount of street-smarts, and a knack for fixing machinery.
  • Catchphrase: Goongala!
  • Claustrophobia: One of Casey's weak points is that he suffers from claustrophobia.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Even the bad guys admit that Casey just plain fights dirty.
  • Embarrassing First Name: His first name is Arnold, but he prefers to go by his second name.
  • Fatal Flaw: Has trouble controlling his temper, which leads to him being reckless while fighting.
  • Happily Adopted: While he did love his parents, even his father when he wasn't drunk, he's come to see the Turtles, especially Raphael, as the brothers he never had and Splinter as a paternal figure.
  • I Know Madden Kombat: Casey uses sports equipment as his main weapon.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Hockey sticks, baseball bats, golf clubs, croquet mallets, cricket bats...
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Hot-headed, rash, aggressive and sometimes childish but he does have the heart in the right place.
  • The Leader: Leads the Pest Control, a group of vigilantes that specifically go against the Purple Dragons and the Foot Clan.
  • Mask of Power: His hockey goalies' mask.
  • Mistaken Identity: When he first met April, she thought he was Green Arrow, but when he showed his mask, she thought he was Wild Dog. Renee wasn't pleased to find out.
  • Official Couple: Dating April O'Neil.
  • Properly Paranoid: He was right about believing Venus was working for the Foot Clan.
  • Related in the Adaptation: He's the adoptive cousin of Cissie King-Jones through his uncle Bernell Jones. His late mother Sarah Cassidy originates in the Arkhamverse, while his grandfather Joseph Jones is known as the first General Glory.
  • The Rival: Sees April's sister Robyn as his rival.
  • Volleying Insults: This is how his conversations with Donatello usually start.

    Keno Andrada
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/keno_andrada_earth_27.jpg

Keno is a pizza delivery boy and martial artist, as well as an ally of the Ninja Turtles and April O'Neil.

  • The Casanova: Keno is a big flirt. He has an incredible knack for remembering pick-up lines and has little shame in employing them regardless of the situation. The kid's got confidence. The same confidence in his ability to pick up supermodels (despite a 100% failure rate) makes him truly fearless.
  • Child Prodigy: He's being trained in Philippine Martial Arts practically since he learned how to walk.
  • Code Name: His Ops Moniker is Courier.
  • Disappeared Dad: His father Ernesto Andrada passed away of kidney disease when he was 14.
  • It's Quiet… Too Quiet: While infiltrating TCRI's lab, he casually mentions the trope. His friends, being Genre Savvy, point out something always happens when you say it, and despite his insistence on the contrary, something bad does happen. On this case they end up facing Bebop and Rocksteady.
  • Named by the Adaptation: In the movie his surname was unknown, but here it's Andrada.

    Angel Bridge
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/angel_bridge_earth_27.jpg

Former member of the Purple Dragons who defected. Now she's a member of Pest Control.

  • Alliterative Name: Her birth name Angel Amante.
  • Book Dumb: She has dyslexia and is mildly illiterate, but she's street smart, resourceful and surprisingly good at chess.
  • Bouncer: Works as one for her day job.
  • Butch Lesbian: Not particularly feminine and she's attracted to the same sex.
  • Code Name: Her Ops moniker is Somebody.
  • Commonality Connection: She became friends with Casey Jones because both lost their parents under different circumstances.
  • Composite Character: She seems to be fused with Jillian Amante, the ex-girlfriend of Lindsay Baker in the IDW comics.
  • Dual Wielding: She's very good at dual Esgrima stick fighting.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Both her hair and gloves are purple and she's a very skilled individual.
  • Sleeves Are for Wimps: Wears a top with no sleeves.
  • Smart People Play Chess: As April is surprised to find out, Angel is very good at playing chess, better than April and Casey for certain.

    Irma Laginstein
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/irma_laginstein_earth_27.jpg

April O'Neil's best friend and only human member of the Mutanimals.

  • Bespectacled Cutie: Wears glasses, she's quite cute and can be shy around strangers.
  • Best Friend: She's April best friend and they've been close ever since they met when they were twelve years old.
  • Code Name: Her Ops Moniker is Anybody.
  • Coming-Out Story: She had a crush on April when they were younger, and realized she also liked men when she was saved by Dean Winchester during the Hell on Earth.
  • Composite Character: She's combined with Lindsey Baker from the IDW comics. Her second name is actually Lindsey.
  • Curtains Match the Windows: Brown hair and brown eyes.
  • Damsel in Distress: She apparently has fantasy dreams of being rescued as a Damsel in Distress.
  • Incompatible Orientation: Had a crush on April when they were younger, but April didn't swing that way. They remain best friends.
  • Master Actor: She's a very good actress.
  • Mr. Imagination: Irma often breaks awkward silences by talking about her unusual dreams or conspiracy theories like the dream where she was fifty feet tall after being hit by an 'Exaporon' ray, the one where she was changed into a rat, or the one where she was replaced by a robot.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: Thought April had been kidnapped by aliens (who were actually the turtles), but Old Hob offered her the chance to uncover an actual alien criminal conspiracy (the Utrom).
  • Shrinking Violet: As April puts it, Irma is socially awkward when being herself around strangers, resulting in her tripping over her own words and often prone to Freudian slips.
  • Token Human: Kind of recruited by Hob to synthesize more mutagen to create more Mutanimals, becoming the only actual human member of the group.

Other Allies

    Leatherhead
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/leatherhead__earth_27__commission_by_phil_cho_ddm5gu7_fullview.jpg

An American alligator mutated by the Foot Clan, he escaped and now lives in the sewers of Star City serving as ally of the Turtles.

  • Aloof Ally: While at first he opposed the turtles, he now serves as a reluctant ally in exchange for food and medicine, living near the turtles' lair as an extra security measure.
  • The Berserker: He's got a nasty temper, and when provoked or threatened, he will slip into an animalistic rage that is very difficult to stop.
  • Healing Factor: Leatherhead's rate of reptilian healing exceeds that of humans and he even has some minor ability to regenerate organs and limbs to a certain degree.
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: Thankfully, he's one of the heroes, but still, Leatherhead is one alligator you don't want to anger.
  • Mirror Character: Can be seen as one for Killer Croc. While Leatherhead is a mutated humanoid alligator, Waylon Jones is a human whose mutation eventually turned him more and more crocodilian. And while Leatherhead is a Genius Bruiser, Killer Croc is rather Book Dumb and usually serves as The Brute. Leatherhead is actually considering becoming a vegetarian while Killer Croc is known to have eaten people in the past.
  • Sewer Gator: He's very familiar with Star City's sewer system and can maintain his needs without much problem.
  • Super-Toughness: Leatherhead can take a surprising amount of punishment. He has been impaled through the heart and still was able to flee and later recover to full health. His body bears several scars which were thought to have been surely fatal, only for Leatherhead to prove them all wrong.
  • Vegetarian Carnivore: He is an omnivore. In fact, so little of his diet includes meat he has considered becoming a vegetarian or even a vegan if he could find a more sustainable source of food. Though he may one day enjoy a tofu lifestyle, he's content to eat what he can find. On rare occasion, he'll even take Mikey up on his offer and join the bros for pizza.

    Pepperoni
