openMy Little Pony: Best Gift Ever
My Little Pony: Best Gift Ever has a description that reads more like what you'd find on a recap page than a work page. Is this OK, and if not, should it be rewritten or moved to the recap namespace?
EDIT: It's also indexed like a recap page, which makes me lean towards moving it.
Edited by ZuxtronopenEditor adding lots of spoiler tags
An editor by the name of Daguchna is adding ots of spoiler tags to the New Tricks page. This is a fairly old show, and the page has been around for a while without the spoiler tags, so is this kosher? https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Series.NewTricks
Asking because I know I am fairly anti-spoiler tags, so I want to know if I'm being over sensitive or not.
openHunger Games characters Literature
Does Characters. The Hunger Games really need to be split into the book and movie versions of the characters? Most of the movie characters are similar enough to their book counterparts.
openWhat is WMG.BluesRoom?
What is WMG.Blues Room?
Apparently something called "Blue's Room" is a WesternAnimation.Blues Clues spinoff. I made a redlink to WesternAnimation.Blues Room in Mr. Imagination 'cause there was an entry for it.
But I dunno if it's Western Animation or Series, nor if it's being troped on the original show's page.
openWork/character page needs help Web Original
I was looking at related pages for Actionized Adaptation and stumbled upon a very... bizarre page for what I assume is either a fanfic or some kind of original fiction Shared Universe. The summary is so gushy I can't really make heads or tails of it, it's not properly indexed and I'm not sure if it's namespaced correctly, and it seems to be written by the people who wrote the stories. The Character page has all of the character descriptions listed as TBA, including a location-as-character. Neither page has had activity within a month.

Edited by lalalei2001openUnexplained, iffy description change
Is anybody else a little concerned as to whether this recent edit to the description of French Jerk is kosher? While there's no such thing as a 'clean' war, as a military history buff I've never heard of anything to suggest that the WWII American army in France was atypically guilty of war crimesnote I guess it might be a reference to strategic bombing, but the wording doesn't suggest so, and it's particularly odd when there's plenty of existing reasons why that particular form of the stereotype doesn't hold up. In light of the lack of an edit reason, I figured it was worth bringing to mod attention.
(The recent edit history of the troper responsible, Harroc, doesn't show anything else questionable, although they are fairly nattery).
openSpoilers on moments pages Live Action TV
There is a character in The Flash (2014) who went by a different name before a major reveal. goldenroad changed all references to him on the funny and nightmare fuel tabs to his real name, long before the reveal, therefore spoiling it for anyone who wants to look at the folder for episodes dozens of episodes before the reveal. And this isn't the first time.
I'm reverting it (it was too long ago for a system revert), but I'm requesting he get a hard tap on the shoulder.
open Can't reply to discussions
Somehow, I can't add any reply on the discussion pages. I haven't been suspended though, since I can edit
openThe Swear Jar: Description edited
A troper called Singing Rain has been fiddling around with the trope description on The Swear Jar, they are relatively minor tweaks but should that not have been discussed in the TRS first?
openAre quotes examples?
I was going through random tropes and stopped on I Love the Smell of X in the Morning. Almost all of the examples are just quotes containing the variation of the trope name. Is this valid or are these ZCEs?
openCarpet Rolled Corpse: minor (?) problem
Bound and Gagged lists Carpet-Rolled Corpse and then goes to say "if the body isn't dead". Problem is, don't we have a proper trope for "carpet-rolled living body"? Or does that trope count that occasion too?
openEntry embedded in notes Anime
Rebel Falcon has embedded a few entries listed under Mêlée à Trois in notes in the Anime.YuGiOhVRAINS page. Here's what it looks like:
- Exaggerated and zigzagged in the second season, as initially there were a total of 6 factions.note
- Yusaku, Ai, and Kusanagi are joined by Takeru, the two having sought out Playmaker after Flame fled the attack on Cyberse World seeking to find out the attackers' identities, Yusaku believing them to be the same group that stole Jin's conscious data.
- SOL Tech is now led by Queen, and has hired Bounty Hunters (Go Onizuka, Blood Shepherd, Kenmochi, and Yoroizaka) to hunt down the Ignis. Blood Sheperd largely works on his own though and won't hesitate eliminate anyone in his way.
- An unknown faction, including Bohman and Haru, lay waste on the Cyberse world and steal Jin's conscious data. They're led by Lightning, the Light Ignis, and stole Jin's consciousness as he's Lightning's origin, now an obedient servant. Joining Lightning is Windy, the Wind Ignis, both seeing themselves above humanity and desiring to control them.
- Akira secretely leads a splinter group with Emma and Aoi, intending on finding the missing Ignis and determining if they are a threat.
- The Knights of Hanoi return as Revolver promised, though smaller in number and starting by breaking Baira out of prison, remaining dedicated to their mission of terminating the Ignis.
- The remaining Ignis are attacked by Lightning's group after destroying the Cyberse world, then hunted by both the Knights of Hanoi and SOL Tech, forcing them on the run.
- Earth remained indecisive until learning what Lightning did to Aqua, in which he decided to oppose Lightning and Humanity to protect Aqua.
- Aqua wanted to side with humanity, but after discovering Lightning's plans, was imprisoned by him until Earth freed her.
- Exaggerated and zigzagged in the second season, as initially there were a total of 6 factions.note
- Later, a series of Enemy Mine narrows it down back to 3.note
- Cafe Nagi, Hanoi, Akira's Group, and Aqua are forced together to oppose both Lightning and SOL Tech.
- SOL Tech successfully captures and terminates Earth after turning Go into a Half-Human Hybrid with an AI.
- Lightning's Group officially declare war on humanity, intent on capturing the remaining Ignis and taking over. Windy is crippled after losing to Revolver, though Lightning says he'll fix him.
- Later, a series of Enemy Mine narrows it down back to 3.note
Is this kosher?
(Side note: they've also been capitalising non-proper nouns for no reason.)
Edited by Tenma-YuukiopenArchie Sonic namespace question
Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog is the namespace used for Archie's Sonic comic series, but ComicBook.Sonic The Hedgehog has 372 wicks which are mainly used for the Archie comic (the actual link is a diambiguation page.)
Any idea what should be done?
Edited by lalalei2001openManic Pixie Dream Girl Film
On Manic Pixie Dream Girl, the entries under "Film -Live-Action" for Amy Adams are listed as sub-bullets under her name, instead of by the names of the works.
I don't think we do that here, right?
The entry for Adam needs a lot of work ("both Adam and Beth have elements of this towards each other"), but I don't know the film and don't know when I'll have time. It's coming up on midterms already!
I only looked at the page because we were discussing Manic Pixie Dream Girl in English class, and the teacher wanted examples. (Yes, I'm allowed to have my laptop available in class.) :p
open Quality backlash
Why is it so hard to find a popular film/tv series/ video game these days without it suffering from some kind of Seasonal rot, Scrappy, Hype Backlash, Creator breakdown, Controversy, Toxic fandom, Instances in which a character or plot thread are wasted ,Broken base or heaven forbid Darkness induced apathy? Are these issues merely an inherent flaw in the writing system thats all but inevitable or a side effect of popularity or is there more to it?

openBig YMMV Think Videogame
One Master Hero deleted this entry off of YMMV.Super Smash Bros Ultimate:
- Harsher in Hindsight:
- The ending of Brawl in the Family has Matthew as a left-handed Master Hand announce his departure and reveals that he's just one of millions of "Master Hands". The premise of World of Light has just that, but they're not friendly.
- Many fans compared Ultimate to Avengers: Infinity War due to both being massive crossovers. Considering what happens to the fighters in "World of Light"...
His reasoning?
- I don't know about Brawl in the Family, but it's a stretch to think that Masahiro Sakurai and his crew were working with similar storyline as Marvel Studios. Besides, what happened in the World of Light isn't really any different from what happened in The Subspace Emissary, or Final Crisis, or Dark Knights Metal.
I dunno, chief
