I believe it counts. Both Smash and Infinity War have been touted has huge crossovers, so comparisons between the two were inevitable, but I don't think anyone saw the Downer Beginning of the former.
To be fair, Smash Ultimate hasn't been released yet, and other YMMV pages for similarly unreleased works have been cutlisted.
That said, the second entry is a bit of a ZCE since I'm unfamiliar with Infinity War and its events. So, I can't really see how it's harsher in hindsight.
Infinity War: Thanos snaps and kills like half the universe.
Smash Ultimate: World of Light: New bad guy Galeem uses lasers and kills like all of Smash Bros's playable roster (except Kirby), plus hundreds of characters not in the playable roster.
I'm assuming the guy who added the second one had Fan Myopia, but regardless MasterHero seems to be removing those just cause like well yasee I don't really know to be honest
The in Hindsight tropes, as I understand them, require a direct connection. "This same kind of thing happened here and also there", which is how the avengers one reads to me, isn't an example of Harsher in Hindsight for the simple reason that there's no hindsight. Even as written there's nothing really indicating that "B made A worse", just that they were compared a lot.
Not sure on the first one right off the top of my head, though it might be better placed on Brawl in the Family than on actual Smash Bros
So I'd say the second one was a legit deletion

The first one is a legit example for BITF, but shouldn't be on the Smash Ultimate page. The second one should go away entirely.
