This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here

- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Since it's very likely that anyone would add any recent incident from a company as evidence of a terminal fall, yes. Case in point, Blizzard. It's best to wait how events ultimately mature so we can truly judge whether they fit or not, in order to prevent additions based on knee-jerk reactions.

I couldn't tell you how long it's been locked for offhand, but the reason given is correct. Everyone rushes to add every incident or controversy to Fallen Creator without even bothering to look at the criteria. The misuse was so pervasive that locking it was the only option.

Addition request for the YMMV page of RayFox
Author's Saving Throw: The first two chapters faced some criticism 4 years later for its narrative expecting readers to sympathize with the citizens and authorities of Meva City for persecuting and vilifying Ray as an arsonist and terrorist despite not knowing (or seemingly not trying to look into) the full story of Ray's vigilante exploits simply on the basis of "he broke the law and destroyed property, so it warrants consequences" with little to no nuance, especially regarding why he did. Chapter 4 shifts the narrative from Ray joining S.O.S. to atone to the authorities extending the offer to him out of recognition for the lives he's saved and sees his help as something desperately needed, with implications that the public have grown suspicious of the accusations against Ray. The S.O.S. is friendlier and open-minded toward Ray in contrast to previous chapters, with some seeking further details from Ray about the Meva Arsenal incident. The end of Chapter 4 full cemented this with Rayfox upstaging a public speech held by Morales to fully explain who he is, the powers he possesses, and what he's been doing, Making clear his goals to improve himself as a crime fighter he's forming at own request rather than anyone shaming him for his apparent disregard for the law, as if the author has taken to fully embracing the viewing of Ray as an earnest aspiring hero rather than the careless vigilante the previous chapters tried to portray him as.

I think this bit should be added to the paragraph on Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment after the "...every time we discuss anything possibly contentious." sentence:
"Additionally, just because you link to this page while making an inflammatory edit doesn't mean you aren't still violating the rule."
Based on how many wicks are just violations of the ROCEJ with a shoddy "and let's leave it at that" tacked on.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
I see that Fighteer already did the Trivia.Sonichu lock and I added the proposed rationale. Did all the other Sonichu locks and neutered Laconic.Sonichu. I went with a blunter lock reason, though.
I am not persuaded that the addition to Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment is useful or necessary. And if it is, it needs to be a single "don't wick" mention not two.

I think the wick issue with ROCEJ isn't because the page doesn't make the rule clear, rather it's because people didn't read the page to begin with. Same issue we have with Work Pages Are a Free Launch.
