Elysium
The digital fantasy world where Guild TEMPUS and ARMIS live. Guild TEMPUS is located in West Elysium which is referred to as Utopia / Paradise, while ARMIS resides in the Badlands of South Elysium.- Ambiguous Situation: TEMPUS's debut profile states that Records Corruption is a great threat to the Elysium and causes a lot of suffering to the people. It's not mentioned much outside of this, though it is stated to be an infection of some kind that can also create monsters. The expedition team's bios would later give a proper personal stake in the Records Corruption's presence, as Hakka is infected with the substance while the Corruption also forms part of Shinri's raison d'être, after having witnessed the guild fight off the Corruption's monsters. Furthermore, Flayon's personal lore heavily implies that he is the source of the corruption, due to him apparently not being "meant" to enter Elysium.
- Anachronism Stew: Elysium is a combination of a fantasy world containing magic and modern technology or perhaps even Magitek.
- Cyberspace: Elysium is a digital world created so humans would have a place to escape to if the real world deteriorated too much.
- Fantasy Counterpart Culture:
- West Elysium or Utopia/Paradise, appears to be the U.S. or at least North America in general, with the most modern world technology and western culture, with the majority of the Holostars TEMPUS boys being from America, sans Axel.
- North Elysium is all but stated to be the local version of Australia, which is where Axel is stated to be from.
- Xenokuni, located in the East, is implied (and later confirmed) to be the local version of Japan, full of craftsman and Japanese aesthetics. During Holo Expo 2024, when the Holostars EN boys all go to visit Japan for the first time, all of them refer to the location as Xenokuni. That said, Hakka uses it as a stand in for Latin America when talking about his home.
- The Badlands, located in Southern Elysium, are a harsh arid desert where the ARMIS bounty hunters reside. Jurard and Octavio tend to use it as a placeholder for the Philippines, with Jurard in particular blaming his terrible Wifi connection on "South Elysium Internet".
- Grew Beyond Their Programming: While Altare is a bonafide human from the real world, others like Hakka and Shinri started off as Elysium's equivalent of NPCs before the data corruption led them to gain sentience.
- Trapped in Another World: Elysium is themed after the isekai genre, being a digital fantasy world that coexists alongside the real world.
- Utopia: West Elysium where Guild TEMPUS is located, is described as a utopia paradise.
- World Tree: The Hollow Tree is a giant blue tree with a diamond fixed at the top. It is said to be at the very center of Elysium where the four quadrants intersect.
- Wutai: Xenokuni ("foreign country") is a traditional Asian-themed region "of craftsmen" to the east of Utopia, mixing neon architecture and aesthetics with traditional Japanese culture and motifs.
