Guesses about other characters that don't fit on any of the other pages.
- Given her ability to change the age of anyone (including herself) at will, that would be plausible enough.
- Wouldn't exactly be a rookie though
- If they admitted she wasn't a rookie they would risk the secret getting out. This could also simply be her first time being a pirate in her long life, which would still let the rookie label apply.
- Jossed and inverted: Bonney was only ten when introduced, but made herself look like an adult at the time.
- She's been given some Hidden Depths by crying at the thought of Whitebeard betraying his own crew, implying either a dark past of her own or a dark past with him. Which leads me to declare...
- Jossed. She was crying because of seeing the pacifistas in the shape of her foster dad, Bartholomew Kuma.
- Or it could be that she understands the consequences of Whitebeard's death on a global scale, and how royally screwed a lot of pirates would be when the Marines are no longer keep in check by Whitebeard and they use whatever forces are constantly stationed to counter Whitebeard.
- Alternate idea: She's his ex-lover!
- Alternate alternate idea: She's his mother. She can control her age so it's not impossible.
- Jossed. Kuma's her dad, not Whitebeard.
- An alternate WMG with another tied in: Bonney is going to turn out to be a lighter version of Iron Mace Alvida. When she set out, like any woman at her age, was apprehensive about aging and losing her beauty and fitness. She also didn't want to ruin her figure because she, well, is a Big Eater. But here's my other WMG: Jewelry Bonney WORSHIPS good food. She was born into a peasant family that ate bland, gritty gruel three meals a day every day. When a rich friend took her out to eat, she was entranced by the plethora of flavors and textures that food could have. So she decided right then and there she would set out on the Grand Line, simply to get a taste of all the island's exotic cuisine, and maybe find One Piece as a nice bonus. So she gathers a crew, gains a ship and sets sail. They enter the Grand Line, and the first island they reach to set their Log Pose is an island theme named after Ponce de Leon. She and her crew find a Devil Fruit, and, being much kinder than Alvida was to her crew, is talked into eating it so she could be a stronger captain. It's only a sheer personal jackpot on the Superpower Lottery that she got powers that let her stay as young or old as she desires and always stay in peak condition despite pigging the fuck out whenever the hell she wants.
- General guess confirmed — Bonney was only ten when introduced.
- What hurts this theory, by my own admission, is the fact that absolutely no one has mentioned this even once when it would normally be mentioned a dozen times. Though it could be that noble pirates aren't exactly scarce. Sabo certainly wanted to be one badly enough, and Whitey Bay was certainly dressed pretty fancy.
- Considering Chapter 722 revealed that Doflamingo is a World Noble, despite also being a [albeit former] pirate, Bonney being related to the Tenryubito isn't that out there.
- ...How exactly is that revelation relevant to that theory? It's not like that spoilered person and Bonney are related, they're two completely different pirates.
- They're saying she's related to the Tenryubito in general, not Doflamingo in particular, so their statement probably is more relevant to the theory in light of that.

- Kuma's her father, so unless he's a former World Noble, that looks jossed.
- The central premise seems increasingly likely, but most of the other assumptions are jossed. Bonney might be the biological child of a World Noble, but she was born to Ginny, an escaped slave-wife, and raised by Kuma.
- Nope: her dad's been revealed to be Kuma.
- Foster dad. Her biological dad still has yet to be revealed.
- Less likely now that the Toki Toki no Mi (Time-Time Fruit) has already been given to another character: Momonosuke's mother Toki.
- He has been shown to be affected by seeing a nekkid Nami (Bon clay's copy ability & spying while at Vivi's family bathouse); he might not be as girl-crazy as Sanji, true, but odds are he isn't sexless.
- Word of God says he just acted interested because Usopp was there.
- Ok, that was ... unexpected.
- He meant that Usopp was a bad influence! Seriously...
- Word of God says he just acted interested because Usopp was there.
- Bonney has higher chances of being Sanji's Love Interest. A woman who can eat and eat and eat and never get fat? That must be a fantasy of Sanji's.
- I disagree. Bonney clearly hates Luffy and the Straw Hats after the Tenryubito incident. Plus she's currently been defeated by Blackbeard and captured/killed by Akainu.
- which could lead to a rescue arc, where she is released by the strawhats, and we learn more about her mysterious past. she seems a little uncivillised for sanji, but luffy would be a good suitor (though an eating compitition is more likely).
- That above part is Jossed considering she's in Mariejois, and doesn't seem to give two shits about the Straw Hats for now; being more concerned with Kuma and all. The WMG, however, doesn't look any more likely for the other stated reasons; she seems to hate the Straw Hats, and Hancock already pulled that same stunt of falling in love with Luffy after initially hating him, so even if Bonney does have a change of heart and comes to like the crew, she's extremely unlikely to fall for Luffy.
- Jossed again. She's underage, and not going to be anyone's love interest.
- which could lead to a rescue arc, where she is released by the strawhats, and we learn more about her mysterious past. she seems a little uncivillised for sanji, but luffy would be a good suitor (though an eating compitition is more likely).
- Remember though, Bonney was really pissed off from WHITEBEARD'S death, not Ace's. She specifically states it while watching the war.
- It's true she's shown pissed off after WB's death, however she just said it's BB's fault and going to chase after him. She didn't specifically mention the cause. It could be both (which is not to far off, if she's known WB enough then she could have known Ace as well).
- Definitely jossed. She was only ten when introduced, even if her powers made her look like an adult.
- It's true she's shown pissed off after WB's death, however she just said it's BB's fault and going to chase after him. She didn't specifically mention the cause. It could be both (which is not to far off, if she's known WB enough then she could have known Ace as well).
- Highly unlikely now, if not impossible; unless she wants nothing more to do with her family, she would have participated in the wedding.
- Jossed. Her bio-mom is Ginny, a Revolutionary.
- Her interaction — or lack of — with the Straw Hats so far does not seem to support this: she displayed no desire whatsoever to see her "son", and only expressed annoyance at him punching out a World Noble and declaring to beat him up if they ever met in the New World.
- Main guess jossed. Luffy was seven when Bonney was born.
- To add to that, if you give it some thought, Bonney's Devil Fruit powers are essentially setting people on rewind and fast-forward. More immediate applications include being able to rewind someone before they were born or after they should have died. If we are to take her abilities more generally as "rewind" and "fast-forward" though, it not only means she can rewind any injuries, but she effectively has control over time, which is such a Game-Breaker that such characters are saved strictly for final battles in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. And not only that, but selective control over time, which alone can make her a Physical God.
- And in addition, it turns out that Bonney is royalty. Her father is the former monarch of Sorbet Kingdom, Bartholomew Kuma.
- Nope, that bit is pure extrapolation and speculation. The only thing we do know is that they have some connection.
- It's actually the opposite: she disguised herself as the queen mother of Sorbet Kingdom at one point... but it wasn't a disguise. That was her true form. She's in fact Bartholomew Kuma's mother.
- She's now confirmed to be Kuma's daughter.
A possible explanation is that Bonney is a clone Kuma had Vegapunk make of his daughter in exchange for Kuma agreeing to become a cyborg in service to the World Government. If Kuma used his power to transfer her memory, she wouldn't even know she was a clone, and her devil fruit would allow her to appear as her original age even if she was only a few years old in actuality. The clone being the only good thing to come out of Kuma's submission to the World Government would also be a reason for Vegapunk to risk everything to make sure she's okay.
When we finally see Kuma's backstory, it will follow a general trend of each flashback being more tragic than the last. Kuma will lose everything to the World Government, even his daughter. Still, he will resist until given one final option. He will agree to anything the World Government asks, as long as Vegapunk brings Bonney back and the World Government keeps her safe (Akainu's concern about her escape would then be a result of this deal, since she had escaped prior to Kuma's total conversion and thus risked Kuma turning on them before they finished, but it was "all over" by the time he caught up with her because the conversion happened and there's no pressing need for them to hold up their end anymore). This information was kept hidden even from her for fear she would develop Clone Angst, but the full truth was comforting to her after all.
Part of the shock of the Egghead Incident will be the horrific lengths the World Government resorted to in order to control the Sorbet Kingdom, particularly what happened to the original Bonney, being revealed to the world.
- Jossed in general. She's Kuma's foster daughter, and Kuma went to Vegapunk to have her cured of her fatal illness, which he succeeded at.
- Definitely some fuel for LuNa shippers as well!
- I am fully prepared to laugh a lot if she turns out to be a red head or something, not only because of her name, but because how pretty everyone who's had dealings with Roger sees the guy simply oozing out of Luffy's pores, and the possible Generation Xerox implications that keep getting throw out there.
- Well, there goes that.
- It would be even funnier if Rouge was Roger's navigator as well.
- Now that would be impossible. They were looking for any girl that was related to Roger in any way, besides Pregnant ones, thus I highly doubt they would just miss ROGER'S F* CKING NAVIGATOR
- True, but it's not impossible. The stunt with Ace shows that she was pretty good at deceiving people when it mattered. She might have disguised herself as a boy or something while traveling with Roger. Pretty out there I admit, but this is Wild Mass Guessing.
- It should be noted that disguising themselves as men is exactly what several famous real-life pirates have done.
- So, wait, is it being implied here that Luffy and Nami will be implied to have some kind of Reincarnation Romance thing going on?
- That's assuming they knew what everybody on Roger's crew looked like. It was a much larger crew than the Straw Hats, and even they have two members whose correct appearances aren't known (Sanji's got the completely inaccurate wanted poster sketch and Usopp has a bounty only as the masked Sogeking) along with one member who was mistaken for a pet. Chances are there are a lot of people the World Government never even knew were members of the Roger Pirates.
- Now that would be impossible. They were looking for any girl that was related to Roger in any way, besides Pregnant ones, thus I highly doubt they would just miss ROGER'S F* CKING NAVIGATOR
- You've neglected the point that Shandians have wings on their backs. Bellamy doesn't.
- Perhaps the wings disappeared over 400 years of interbreeding with humans? Or worse, he cuts them off so as to not have that association. You must admit, having two characters with such an odd mannerism introduced in roughly the same geographic area so close together in the plot is a bit unusual.
Hrm..what WAS he doing there, after she already rejected him? He seems like enough of a Loony Fan to do it himself after being rejected by her, and may even be crazy enough to truly believe it was an accident. She provoked him, after all...it wasn't his fault! Just an accident!
- It may be he, for reasons best known to himself, now hates the Marines and as such is merciless when fighting them. Marines would be responsible for nicknames as well, since they release the wanted posters.
- We have been hinted that Drake has become one of the most fearsome pirates of Luffy's generation and, while we don't yet know his bounty, supposedly received a truly massive increase in the past two years. As the Marines are the ones who decide the bounties, that means Drake did something to really, really, REALLY upset them.
- Jossed - Drake is [[spoilers: a Double Agent for the marines, who presumably set his bounty to help sell his cover]].
It seems like a lot of people in the past are quite similar to those right now. And we have recently seen some of the Shichibukai in their younger years. Minus Crocodile and Hancock (Bounties weren't high enough) and Blackbeard (No bounty at all) for the Shichibukai, the current Yonkou minus Whitebeard, and the other named prisoners on Level Six of Impel Down (Catarina Devon, San Juan Wolf, and Basco Shot) might have all have been at the Shabondy Archipelago in the exact same way, and like Shakky said, some inspired future generations of pirates (The Yonkou), some didn't (The Shichubukai), and some got "eliminated in the survival games" (The ID prisoners)
- Kidd = Kaidou (Both are very violent, and seem (since we don't know which silhouette in Garp's flashback is Kaidou) to sport Slasher Smile a lot)
- Luffy = Shanks (Pretty obvious)
- Hawkins = Moriah (Both have a Supernatural theme and powers)
- Drake = Kuma (Kuma was not seen at Roger's execution, and seeing on how he hates the WG, he also might have been a Marine, and eventually defected)
- I don't know the Marines do not seem the type to let an ex-Marine/traitor become a Warlord.
- Law = Unknown Yonkou (Well, we don't know really anything about the 4th Yonkou, but he fits with Law, as the three successful Supernovas, that might inspire other Pirates)
- Jossed, Law is the first Warlord of this generation.
- Apoo = Doflamingo (Both are eccentric and flamboyant)
- Killer = Shot (Basco might have been Kaidou's First Mate)
- Bonney = Devon (Token females of the groups)
- Bege = Wolf (Wolf's Red Baron was "Colossal Battleship, so he might be heavily armed like Bege)
- Well, maybe not so much for Wolf, as he's just incredibly massive.
- Zoro = Mihawk (Like Shanks/Luffy, pretty obvious. Also might be interesting if Mihawk was once Shanks' First Mate)
- Urouge = Jinbe (Both non-human, seem to lack Devil's Fruit powers, and both very physically powerful)
- Even if you eat meat, swallowing a steak that's roughly your own size without chewing is still a big ask
- When was his head cut off?!!? That picture is eerily similar...
- 1. Fake Sanji's hair is wild and fuzzy, just like the artist's rendition of his wanted poster.
- 2. Fake Robin (Cocoa) is a small woman in a plain black dress. She is first seen looking over her left shoulder. Both parallel to Robin's original poster when she was a child.
- 3. We have a Fake Sogeking rather than a fake Usopp. Usopp doesn't make his presence within the Straw Hats unknown and discarded his Sogeking identity long ago. Our impostor disguises himself as Sogeking rather than Usopp because the only wanted poster of him is of Sogeking. On top of that, he seems to make no attempt to imitate the Sogeking outfit—just the mask. The poster may be all he knows about Usopp, or Sogeking.
- 4. Brook, as of yet, has no wanted poster of him affiliated with the Straw Hats. Thus, the Fake Straw Hats are unaware of him and thus they have no fake counterpart for him.
- 5. Chopper is considered as the Straw Hats' pet by the Marines. These guys take the Marines' word for it (it's not particularly dangerous misinformation unless your name is Kumadori), thinking he must be some sort of mindless animal.
- 6. Fake Nami is the least accurate among them because her wanted photograph has her face obscured.
- 7. Fake Franky seems to be the one who cares least about imitating the original (such as the cigarette) because Franky had just joined the Straw Hats when the wanted posters were made. To most pirates, the Marines, and the World Government, he is an unknown, and aside from his being a Straw Hat, a nobody.
- Not exactly true. Spandam must have reported the fact that Franky was Cutty Flam (i.e., the childhood friend of Water 7's mayor and a disciple to the shipwright that held the blueprints for an ancient weapon) to his higher-ups eventually, as this is all important intel. As for the rest of this, spot on, dude.
- I don't know, the facial structures don't really match that well.
- Knowing Oda, this will probably be true.
- Arlong take orders from a human? Not happening. He'd be a fun surprise when the crew got to Mermaid Island, though, and a fight between him and newly-badass Nami would be all kinds of awesome. He could even have found out about Hachi's HeelāFace Turn, to add some bonus It's Personal. Kuro and Krieg aren't very likely to serve under Buggy, either, but Kuro's cat theme would make him fit in wonderfully with the Seven Warlords of the Sea, and Krieg would probably take any deal if he thought he could worm his way out later.
- Wasn't Arlong meant to be in impel down?
- He was locked up by the Marines, it was never stated where he was held at. Most people assume he was being held in a place in East Blue.
- Wasn't Arlong meant to be in impel down?
- Troper who posted the WMG here. For Arlong, it would just be a temporary measure, just long enough to kill Luffy. For Kuro, it will be a permaneant measure, as it is basically the perfect way to achieve his goal, which is a peaceful retirement, more or less.
- Still wildly out of character for Arlong, temporary measure or not.
- Buggy the Warlord Confirmed (though his power level is unknown, it will likely being stronger than his new crew.)
- That's a surprisingly convincing and awesome WMG.
- I reckon you'd be dead on about the multiple man power, but I doubt he will turn out to be much stronger/more intelligent with them absorbed. It would make the power rather unnecessary. He will probably turn out to be about as strong as Mr. 4 by himself, and all his clones will be equally as strong. Another indicator that this is possible is that Caribou never adresses his crew, only Coribou.
- In Chapter 605, him and the rest of the crew were seen floating up after the Kraken destroyed their ship. So, it's likely Coriboo is not a user and the other guys just look all alike. That said, I still think Coriboo will be stronger then his bro, whether it be a master of the Color of Armor or a Lightning Bruiser like Sloth. Or both.
- Caribou's power allows him to turn into a mud-like substance...hmmm...
- Confirmed to be a Swamp based power

- Seems in Chapter 631, he's starting to think of a nasty plan...
- Nah... He just threw a giant ship at it
- Sengoku's Devil Fruit is a Mythical Zoan, Hito Hito no Mi. Model: Daibutsu. If a Buddha statue can qualify as a Mythical Zoan and get random powers, who's to say something like a scarecrow or voodoo doll can't?
- Hawkins' has a complete transformation into another type of being, namely some kind of bizarre scarecrow monster with nails for claws. To date, no Paramecias have ever caused set transformations like this one.
- Even in-universe, the powers were described as weird by Kizaru and the only conclusion he could come to was that it wasn't a Logia.
- Arguably Jossed, Hawkins' fruit allows him to manipulate straw. Apparently his magic is a separate power.
- Confirmed jossed, it's a Paramecia — the Straw-Straw Fruit.
- Joy Boy was (is?!) a D.
- Not sure if he's a D. but as of 649 it's established that he lived during the Void Century, and wrote at least one of the poneglyphs.
- Joy Boy wrote the poneglyphs as descriptions of his crew members.
- Joy Boy was one the of proto-WG's enemies during the Void Century. He was the previous guide for Poseidon and intended to bring the Fishmen up from the seafloor using Noah and Poseidon. However, for whatever reason he failed and wrote the poneglyph as an apology to the mermaid princess. He or someone else near him then made the prediction/promise that Fishman Island would be raised from the seafloor later by a new Poseidon and a new guide, again using Noah. This is what the Sea Kings refer to as the "promised time" and there are hints that the new guide is Luffy, with Shirahoshi acting as Poseidon. This is how Luffy will destroy Fishman Island; by taking all of it's people up to the surface.
- Luffy also could also be there while it's burning down but to stop the one who is attacking them.
- The Joy Boy who wrote the letter was a giant - he made his promise close to nine hundred years ago, but his letter was made on a poneglyph, which wasn't invented until a hundred years after that (and it may have been even longer before he wrote it). While humans have been shown with long lifespans, giants have even longer ones.
- Sea Kings, like salmon, whales, and many other creatures, have spawning grounds. The East Blue is the primary spawning ground and those that either haven't matured or matured small (poor Lord of the Coast) stay in these waters until they can leave (except for L.o.t.C....). Having grown up together or in the same area, these Sea Kings are all part of a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits out on a quest of destiny to save the world. Apparently, Sea Kings are either supremely patient, laid back, and/or they must wait for When the Planets Align since this same group also witnessed Roger and his crew sailing beneath the waves.
- Oda really wanted to mess with people.
- Each Sea King is unknowingly a guardian spirit of a Straw Hat crew member (unknown to both parties).
- The sea kings are likely not (actual) whales/mammals, as Mohmoo is not one. That may be significant.
- Jossed: his sword is called "Raiu", and while it is a Meito (famous sword) we do not know its current rank.
- I believe that somehow Elder Nyon is actuallly Rouge because she had once left the Amazon Lilly island with a certain crew plus the flower on her head is very similar. Plus, I'm really starting to believe anything the Government states in reality because frankly, they covered up the Impel Down incident which released a lot of criminals, so I wouldn't buy the Tear Jerker even if it is sad because it's too good to be true.
- Ivankov might have something to do with it as might have done age and height hormones in order to disguise her and seeing what he's done, I wouldn't be surprised.
- And if there was a possibility of Rouge being alive as Elder Nyon I can justify while she had to leave Ace behind because as we've seen with Robin and Luffy, parents who are famous fugitives tend to have their kids targeted by the government.
- Ivankov might have something to do with it as might have done age and height hormones in order to disguise her and seeing what he's done, I wouldn't be surprised.
- Hmm, well there's a case to be had for Machvise and Miss Valentine's day for sure, but definitely not Mr.5 and Gladius; they've already been confirmed as having two different Devil Fruits, the Bomb-Bomb Fruit (5) and the Pop-Pop Fruit (Gladius). Very similar, but different. To clarify, Gladius's fruit requires him to grab inanimate objects and swell them up until they explode whereas Mr.5 can simply make any part of his own body explode without any preparatory swelling.
- In addition, the official translator at Viz for One Piece did some clarification: Damage inflicted with the Pop-Pop Fruit is simply due to whip force and shrapnel caused by the inflated object bursting. Gladius does not use any incendiary force the way Mr. 5 does.
- Miss Valentine is alive: her fruit is the Kilo Kilo, while Machvise's is the Ton Ton. The former allows the user to become lighter too, and has an apparent limit of 10 tons, while Machvise's fruit only makes him extremely heavy. This would also mean that a fruit that can only diminish weight down to a few grams exists...
- Oda has clarified that there are some Devil Fruits that are just better versions of others - in addition to the above, Baby 5's Arms-Arms fruit is a stronger version of Das Bonez's Dice-Dice fruit.
This being the ONLY "filler" story in the whole series so far can only mean one thing: Foxy will return. He has a strategy for conquering the Grand Line and obtaining the One Piece: Challenge as many pirate crews as possible through Davy Back Fights and take as many valuable crewmembers as possible. He takes great care of anyone under his wing, so it's unlikely anyone will defect. By the time Luffy meets him, Foxy already has an armada through the Davy Back Fights. Foxy plans to get progressively stronger and stronger crewmates by slowly increasing his military might—in essence, an effective version of Don Krieg, or possibly as a rival to the remains of the Whitebeard Pirates.
Foxy is New World material, both due to his way of recruiting people (as you need a ship coater to go underwater to even reach the New World and he'd most likely enlist one or a few through a Davy Back Fight) and due to his absurdly high combat potential he currently seems largely unaware that he has: He can slow down anything emitted from a beam to an almost complete stop for 30 seconds. Anything. He's capable of far, FAR more than what he's displayed against Luffy. He can aim the Slow-Slow Beam at a single part of a ship and make it sink because that part will stay behind while the rest of the ship moves forward. He can slow down LIGHT ITSELF to create optical distortions, and possibly to take on Admiral Kizaru. Heck, if he moves past the Slow-Slow Beam, he can coat himself in a literally impenetrable Slow-Slow Armor by inflicting slowness on any attack that reaches him; or trap people in a Slow-Slow Cage that threatens to immobilize inhabitants if they ever touch its walls.
Furthermore, Eiichiro Oda loves messing with the peripheral versions of his shows and has put in plot points that discredit anything someone else may write in or remove. The anime HAS brought back Foxy and has been portraying him as something of an incompetent goofball, so Oda will feel tempted to write Foxy back in as hypercompetent and possibly with those broken powers.
This is what I think will happen: Monkey D. Luffy will meet up again with Foxy the Silver Fox in the New World. By then, Foxy will have an even larger pirate armada and will contain characters the Straw Hats have fought before. The most likely people to join the Foxy Pirates will be the former CP9 agents. This is because they were exiled by their leader Spandam after they failed to defeat the Straw Hat Pirates, forcing these guys to go on the run as pirates themselves. This makes them subject to the rules of the Davy Back Fight. Having no knowledge of the pirate world, working in the World Government for their entire lives, they will lose every Davy Back Fight despite their absurd fighting strength. (After all, every CP9 agent may know the Six Powers that makes them superhuman, but what good are they if they can't move and thus can't activate them?) However, as Foxy respects Luffy for his determination, the two will not fight when they meet, but instead, will fight together against an even greater threat. Foxy will also be a strong contender for the One Piece in the New World despite his bounty of 24 million Berries being one of the lowest in the series. This leads me to my next prediction...
The two most notable characters we've met so far to have an animal theme are Foxy and Luffy. Foxy's bounty is low most likely because he has never been in the way of the World Government (and seemingly has not attacked anyone but other pirates) to begin with and is thus considered harmless, despite his power. Foxy does not want to make an enemy out of the World Government and will join the Seven Warlords of the Sea immediately upon invitation. The World Government would want Luffy to join because of all the trouble he's caused; however, this is against Luffy's interests, and he will turn it down.
- I highly doubt that Luffy will get an invitation, unlike most other pirates, he caused trouble against the World Government itself: He invaded Enies Lobby (and declared war on the WG there by shooting their flag), he punched a Celestial Dragon, caused the first major outbreak in Impel Down, he attacked Marineford to save Ace, he allied with several anti-WG characters like Whitebeard, Invankov, Crocodile, Jimbei, Ace, Shanks, Rayleigh, not to mention that he has the last Oharan (Nico Robin) as crew mate and the leader of the Revolutionaries as father. Garp or Cobra might be important enough to make the WG forget about this, but somehow I highly doubt this.
- It's pretty obvious(to the WG, at least) that Luffy is at least as much of a threat to the World Government as he is to other pirates. They just want him dead so he can't cause them any more trouble. And animal theme or not, Foxy is not Warlord material.
- Jossed on both counts. Foxy never made another canon appearance since his debut, and Luffy became an Emperor rather than a Warlord.
- A: He asks them to help (probably through begging, and then betrays them like in the anime), or
- B: He asks them to help, they refuse (due to suspecting betrayal in time), and he has no choice but to join them, as the only other alternatives are setting out on his own again (till, possibly, he finds the loyal factions of his crew), or being slaughtered in the New World on his own. Even great powers can't help if they're wielded by an idiot.
- You're forgetting one important fact: No one in the Straw Hats want him.
- In the anime she was clearly rather upset over him leaving...
- her body language does not refute this idea one bit. she does not team up after the timeskip though, but who can say what the future holds?
- I thought it was terminal illness
- Heavily doubtful. Shiki was very contemptuous of the new age, and there is no way he would ever work for someone younger than him. Shiki is the same guy who asked Roger to be his right hand man. He would never serve under anyone.
- Actually, that was Inazuma. Still, knowing Oda, such things don't go undeveloped.
- Well, whoopdy-doo. So now, Blackbeard's going to be able to nullify any other Devil Fruit, fly, regenerate, and on top of it all, produce island-shattering earthquakes and world-ending tsunamis. That's worse than Captain Broken.
- If you have the ability to do all this, I would assume most people in the OP World would do it, especially someone as power hungry as Blackbeard.
- Actually, when you think about it, Teach took his two Devil's Fruits from men who both shared names with the Real Life Blackbeard. He took the Yami Yami no Mi from Thatch, which was often Blackbeard's alias. and he took the Gura Gura no Mi from Whitebeard, who had the first name of Edward. But, early on, Edward Teach's surname was sometimes thought of as "Drummond". And his powers: the Yami Yami no Mi is dark and evil and fueled by the Devil, just like how Hades, the oldest of Cronos's kids is thought to be the Grecian Satan. The Gura Gura no Mi, his second power, is all about Earthquakes, taken from a man known as the God of the Sea, just like Poseidon, who ruled over both and was the middle son. So, if he has a third power, it will be about Zeus, like an Eagle or Phoenix, taken from a man named Drummond.
- I think the above post came close, but unfortunately veered clean off course at the last moment. Blackbeard took the powers of the other two men introduced who possess names linking them to the real-life Blackbeard. I personally think that Blackbeard's power-stealing comes less from wanting one of each class of Devil Fruits and more as symbolism of Blackbeard becoming the only living representative of the real-life Blackbeard in the series, and that he's going to stick with the powers he has(adding of course, that I'm of the opinion that he can't take on any more powers).
- Honestly, I think it just has to do with Blackbeard wanting the strongest fruit from each class of Devil Fruit. Darkness is arguably the strongest Logia-type, and Quake appears to be the strongest Paramecia-type. The strongest Zoan will probably be Marco's Phoenix or Dragon's Dragon, assuming the WMG of Dragon having the Dragon Fruit pans out.
- chapter 820 states the Blackbeard did indeed defeat Marco but it seems like he wasn't able to capture him. Nekomamushi is going to be looking for him and the other remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates so they can join the alliance against Kaido.
- And Marco appears in chapter 909, having met Nekomamushi, so he's alive for now.
- If you have the ability to do all this, I would assume most people in the OP World would do it, especially someone as power hungry as Blackbeard.
- Unlikely. Magellan himself had scars on his face after the timeskip, most likely from Blackbeard since his face wasn't touched at any other time in the Impel Down Arc. Still possible though.
- Jossed - Bon Clay has appeared in a cover story as the new leader of New Kama Land.
- Jossed; he may have stayed behind for the time being after Whole Cake Island, but he's officially joined the crew.
- Jossed, Law ends up not being involved in the operation against Big Mom and Kidd is currently incapacitated several islands away.
- However, Kid and Law are currently up against Big Mom, but Luffy is beaten by Kaido. Again.
- Confirmed
- Jossed - she marries Gotti of the Fire Tank Pirates.
- Well, Lucci, Kaku and Spandam are now confirmed to have become part of CP0, increasing the likelihood of this.
- Confirmed. Lucci and Kaku return and play a role in the Egghead Arc.
- The reason? They are called the Celestial Dragons. The Dragon is an animal on the Chinese Zodiac. So far, the only two people to fight them are Monkey D. Luffy and Fisher Tiger. If Oda did that on purpose (Why did I say if?) then we can guess the other animals of the Chinese Zodiac will get involved as well. Boa = Snake. Hogback = Hog. Merry = Ram. Pierre = Horse. Dalton = Ox. Doflamingo kinda = Rooster. Lapahn = Rabbit. Kisaru's nickname = Dog. Nezumi = Rabbit. Since the Celestial Dragons already have "Dragon" in their names, it's up in the air whether a second dragon (Dragon) will fight them as well.
- Jossed; Lola made no physical appearances in the entire arc, aside from flashbacks. It was her sister Chiffon who ultimately helped stop Big Mom.
- So does that mean that Caribou can cause an Oobleck disaster?
- That sure would be a very obscene asspull (more than Pell)... but a Guy isnĀ“t forbid of dream here right?
- At least partially Jossed-Monet is dead, Vergo's fate is unknown.
- On the other hand, it is more likely confirmed. Monet's attack Yuki Rabi was shown in a ocean, after Mugiwaras left Punk Hazard. She also constantly keeps being mentioned by different people, including her being brought up by dwarves, as being a maid in Dressrosa Palace. If she is mentioned in a current flashback in manga, it would pretty much confirm her being alive and relevant to a plot.
- So by that logic, Ace is actually just hiding, isn't he? He was brought up often after the Marineford arc, and even appeared in a flashback, he must be alive! More seriously, merely being mentioned in flashbacks and by other people isn't even close to being enough to assume a person is alive. The possibility that she somehow survived being stabbed in the heart is there, however unlikely, but the WMG is so far jossed.

- This seems pretty unlikely, considering how it's so far been established that no one in the ship thought Devil Fruit powers would've been worth it - even Buggy only ate one by accident.
- Pretty much Jossed now, considering the Big Bad of One Piece Film: Gold is the one with the Gold-Gold Fruit. Since that movie isn't canon and Oda has to look over every movie and give his approval for Devil Fruit powers, he wouldn't have given said Big Bad the Gold-Gold Fruit if someone in canon, especially someone as important as Gol D. Roger, had it.
- This raises an interesting question actually, if Bentham gets scarred when he is using his disguise powers, say he gets such a scar on his face while disguised as hanyaball, does he retain the scar when he turns back to normal?
- OR he might be working for Joker, to whom Caesar Clown works for.
- I can't imagine anyone other than Blackbeard turning out to be who Caribou refers to. It's way more vexing that way, considering the kind of danger it puts certain characters under.
- Jossed. She's passed away now, and there's nothing really to support she saw the kids as anything but "toys" (she seems to get a kick out of suffering).
- Her death is not exactly confirmed...and this is technically WMG.
- What part of being stabbed THROUGH THE HEART and being left for dead in an exploding lab that was being taken over by a poisonous, petrifying gas doesn't count as confirmation? One doesn't need a character to clearly and directly state a thing for it to be confirmed. Besides, even if she somehow survived ALL of that, the Marines were right there on the island, ready to pick her up. Her death is confirmed and the WMG jossed.
- Her death is not exactly confirmed...and this is technically WMG.
- His status as a crime boss has come up before, but he is tolerated because he works for the Celestial Dragons.
- Well, the reasons are wrong, but he's right in a way. Caesar did mess up his plans massively... by getting captured in the first place. So this is half-confirmed, half-jossed. Also, Doflamingo doesn't work for the Celestial Dragons.
- And it's confirmed; Nami even flashed back to Purin telling her about her sister in chapter 836.
They're too lookalike, from their long hair, their bicolor facial hair (Shiki's eyebrows are even slightly curled!) to their distorted beliefs about supreme domination and survival of the fittest. Keep also in mind that his idea of pirate is being a dominator of the seas, and that like Jajji he kidnapped someone because she was useful to him. Heck, in both cases their more recent goals involved giving a huge strike to one of the four Blues!
Why his name doesn't end in -ji, nor he is he addressed with his surname? Because Sanji's grandpa had an affair outside the marriage, of course. I totally can see something like that in a family that uses lesser-class people as much as they like. And considering what Sanji, a totally legitimate son, experienced just for being weak and nice to the servants, imagine what could have been Shiki's childhood due to his being a bastard. He couldn't even have a chance to become the next Germa's commander. Becoming a pirate would have been the only way to not have to being under someone's orders, and his insane ambition of making all the seas his empire could come from the desire of overshadowing his relatives.
Also, apparently, Shiki is rather fond of some dress code his allies have to follow during meetings. Kinda odd, considering that throughout all Strong World he himself never gives the impression of being refined in any way, and he wears the same outfit for the entire movie. If he really grew up with the Vinsmokes, it may be an idea he took from them: as the leader, he doesn't need to prove anything with his looks, but the others, less important, have to be elegant to respect him. He may hate them, but Vinsmokes' distorted beliefs are pretty much stuck in his head.
One more thing: during the first fight with the Strawhats, Shiki doesn't seem to fight seriously until, after having blocked his attack, he ends face-to-face with Sanji. He may have recognized one of his nephews, precisely the one his beloved little brother needed for his plans ... and he was going to kill him just to spite Jajji. Also notice that Luffy seems to suspect there's something, since once he saves Sanji, he asks him if they were in the middle of something important. A joke, maybe, but a little too... downtoned, for someone like Luffy.
- Jossed. The Wano Country Arc shows that failed SMILEs turn the user into a Stepford Smiler instead of giving them any powers. Also, Momonosuke's fruit was an artificial Devil Fruit made by Vegapunk, not specifically a SMILE made by Doflamingo.
- Jossed for now; he's participating in the Reverie, and doesn't seem to give a rat's ass about the idea of revenge.
- All we know of the crew and herself is that both were chased by Garp, and both used to be active 40 years ago. So far it's a perfect match.
- She's a powerful and beautiful woman and Shakuyaku can mean Peony, fitting the flower theme of Kuja names.
- Confirmed as of Chapter 1059
- It was a setup by the government. The girl who asked them about who caught the bigger sea king was an innocent, but she was plied with her question by an agent, who was hoping to trigger exactly the sort of dispute that it did, and thus got them out of the way and broke up one of the strongest pirate crews in the world as a result. And boy will they be steamed if they ever find out about this.
- Don Krieg is gonna turn out to be Don Sai's cousin or some shit. I mean, look up both characters and compare them, they actually look quite similar. An obvious difference would be that Krieg is much paler than Sai, but if you look at Don Chinjao, he's pale as well. The only hole in this theory for me is how Don Krieg would end up in East Blue and be so friggin weak if he's related to characters from the New World, kinda like Arlong's case.
