Numbuh 4 learns he is to be sent to a boarding school – but he is not worried, as he's always escaped from them before. However, he then learns that the school is being run by an evil kid called "Madam Margaret", a girl who is getting high-tech aid from none other than her future self. Madam Margaret's abominable plan is to create a twisted utopia where girls rule the world, using a demonic weapon called the girlifying ray that can turn anything feminine. The team does not have much chance to stop this until they receive aid from Numbuh 4's own future self. Now the team must defeat her and save the future.

Date of Mission: June 11, 2004

Now loading tropes:

  • Angrish: Director Margaret engages in this after Numbuh 4 escapes her the first time, along with throwing her girlifier on the floor and jumping up and down in frustration. Then she notices all the schoolgirls staring at her and awkwardly excuses herself.
  • Big "NO!": Future!Madam Margaret does this when Sally Sanban destroys her time machine after Future!Numbuh 4 uses it to travel back in time and warn the present day Kids Next Door of what's going on so they can stop the Bad Future.
  • Big "SHUT UP!": Future!Madam Margaret does this when her subordinates won't stop crying after learning that Sally defected from their organization.
  • Chekhov's Boomerang: Due to already being very feminine, Numbuh 3 is immune to the girlifier (something that even tomboy Numbuh 5 was affected by) as well as the brainwashing that comes with it. 75 years later, Sally Sanban wants to join the resistance against Madam Margaret, all because of the stories her grandmother (Kuki a.k.a. Numbuh 3) shared with her. Then later, in the climax of the episode, where Numbuh 3's Humongous Mecha is immune to the Girlifier as well.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Future!Margaret knew that Sally would defect to the Boys Next Door. So she implanted the Girlifier rifles to have trackers on them so she can find her and the BND base.
  • Darker and Edgier: This episode has a Bad Future caused by the slow extinction of the human race due to Margaret's anti-boys rule.
  • Dartboard of Hate: The Boys Next Door have a Rainbow Monkey stuck on a bullseye.
  • Defector from Decadence: Sally Sanban.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Once both Margarets (present and future) are defeated, the last thing we see of the future are boys and girls happily playing together.
  • Freudian Excuse: Margaret's misandry stems from her poor relationship with her brothers.
  • Freudian Slip: Sally manages to blow her Sweet Polly Oliver disguise after noticing a rainbow monkey being held by a boy operative.
  • Gender Bender: What the girlifier rifle, and later the boyifier rifle, is designed to do. As a side note, it can induce a forced Girliness Upgrade on female targets, as Numbuh 5 is subjected to.
  • Gendercide: Madam Margaret had desired to create a "Boy-Free World", and had sent her past self technology designed to forcibly transform all boys into girls to help realize this goal. Due to her age (Around 75 years happened between the events of the present day and the future) it is a wonder how Madam Margaret isn't aware of how forcibly wiping out the entire gender of a species would result in the extinction of said species.
  • Generation Xerox: Sally Sanban almost looks just like Kuki, her grandmother in the future. And some of the boy operatives (including the leader) have physical similarities to Numbuhs 1, 2 and 5.
  • Girls vs. Boys Plot: The Boys Next Door vs. Madam Margaret.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Well, woman. Numbuh 4 kicks Madam Margaret in the face and she breaks in half, revealing herself to be a robot.
  • History Repeats: Happens twice.
    • In the present, Numbuh 4 ambushes Headmistress Margaret by landing on her from a high window. In the future, he does the same trick to Future!Margaret only for him to wince in pain due to his old age.
    • In the future, Sally destroys Madam Margaret's time travel device to keep her from following Future!Numbuh 4. In the present, her grandmother would destroy the device in a similar manner.
  • Hope Bringer: Sally for Future!Numbuh 4.
  • Identical Grandson: Sally very much resembles her grandmother. Some members of the Boys Next Door also resemble the other members of Sector V, implying that they are their descendants.
  • Meaningful Echo:
    • In part one, we have "I don't need help to defeat a bunch of girly girls!" In part two, we have "Thanks Sally, for all the help..."
    • Part two opens with a 75 year Time Skip that shows the dystopian state of the world after Madame Margaret rose to power. At the end, we're shown another Time Skip only with a brighter future that shows girls and boys co-existing in harmony along with a new KND treehouse in the background.
  • Meaningful Rename: After being impressed by Sally's dedication to helping the resistance, the leader invites her to join the Boys Next Door. But is immediately cut off by Future!Numbuh 4.
Future!Numbuh 4: No! Not the 'Boys Next Door', (cocks girlifier rifle) The Kids Next Door.
  • Mobile-Suit Human: What "Madam Margaret" turns out to be.
  • Moving Buildings: In both the present and future, Margaret created her bases with mobility functions.
  • Mini-Mecha: Present Margaret poses as an adult headmistress using a Mobile-Suit Human.
  • My Future Self and Me: Though kid!Numbuh 4 doesn't realize this.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Margaret in the future has created a boy-free world. She also managed to girlify all of the Bo-I mean, Kids Next Door, but she just didn't count on Numbuh 4 crashing her headquarters and using her time machine to Set Right What Once Went Wrong.
  • Noodle Incident:
    • Apparently Numbuh 4 has been sent to various boarding schools by his parents and has broken out of every one.
    • Before disappearing from existence, the future Numbuh 4 warns his younger self not to get a mohawk.
  • No-Sell: The girlifier rays have no effect on H.I.P.P.I.E.-H.O.P. as the bunny's design is already cute and girl-friendly to begin with.
  • Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: Madam Margaret claims to want to create a peaceful world by forcibly transforming all men into women but besides the obvious extinction of the species that would result from it (assuming she doesn't create some kind of cloning or hermaphroditism technology), she's also willing to brainwash/kill any girls who stand against her goal. It rockets into Evil Is Petty territory when you realize this started because she couldn't stand her "gross brothers".
  • Resentful Outnumbered Sibling: The villain, Madam Margie, grew up with multiple brothers, who often mistreated her. This led to her trying to wipe out all boys in the world.
  • Running Gag: Even if it becomes actually useful at the climax for once, H.I.P.P.I.E.-H.O.P. is still destroyed at the end of the episode by a falling castle turret.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Numbuh 4 originally decided not to call Sector V for backup, believing he could handle the situation himself. By the time he realized he really did need help, most of the team had already been girlified, meaning that there was not enough time to stop Margie and leading to the Bad Future that lasted the next seventy-five years. Future!Numbuh 4 travels back seventy-five years to warn Sector V in time to prevent this (and the slow, painful extinction of the human race) from happening.
  • Ship Tease:
    • Numbuh 3 tells Numbuh 4 to send her a postcard from his new boarding school. When future!Numbuh 4 travels to the past to seek help for his past self, she is the first member to believe him, saying that "sometimes a girl just knows." Future!Numbuh 4's last words before he disappears strongly imply that his biggest regret in the bad timeline is not telling Numbuh 3 his feelings for her.
    • There also seems to be this going on between Sally and an unnamed leader of the Boys Next Door, who is the first one to ask her to join them and hugs her when the girlifier rifle's effects are successfully reversed.
  • Shout-Out:
  • The Stinger: A remix of Director Margaret throwing a tantrum when Numbuh 4 escapes, making it look like she's dancing to the KND end credits theme.
  • Third Law of Gender-Bending: The Girlifier and Boyifier ray not only inflicts Gender Bender on the target, but also changes their mentality to be more feminine and masculine respectively.
  • Wham Line: After destroying Margaret's rifle which was a gift, Numbuh 4 asks who in their right mind would give her a laser for a gift.
    Future!Madam Margaret: Her future self.
  • What You Are in the Dark: When Future!Numbuh 4 cynically/somberly brushes off Sally's offer to join the Boys Next Door, Sally sadly says "Fine, have it your way." She pulls out a girlifier rifle. ...Only to peacefully rest it on Future Numbuh 4's lap and tell them she brought it in hopes they could reverse-engineer the technology to create a "boyifier rifle". She could've wiped out the remaining resistance with that girlifier gun, but she didn't. This speaks volumes of how loyal Sally is to her ideals of getting along nicely with boys.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Kind of justified given the situation of the Bad Future.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: For once, it seems like H.I.P.P.I.E.-H.O.P. hasn't been subjected to the Running Gag of it being destroyed in each of its appearances, but at the very end a falling pillar crushes it, and as the camera pans up to the sky Numbuh 3 is ejected out of it again.
