Every spoilers about previous All Worlds Alliance fanfics pre-AWA Missions - Tales of the World and Radiant Mythology 3 will be unmarked!

First time seeing someone like me?
Uh-huh... though I've seen many creatures before with animal characteristics but this is the first time I've seen a creature with clothes like you.
You know I may be an anthropomorphic cat but I'm still a person...with feelings.
—Kanonno's first encounter with the All Worlds Alliance member Blinx the Time Sweeper.

All Worlds Alliance Missions - Tales of the World is the 3rd fanfic of the All Worlds Alliance series and the 1st fanfic of the Missions subseries (crossing over Tales of the World, specifically after Radiant Mythology 3), which was firstly released on March 6, 2017, before completing it on May 1, 2017 with a total of 10 chapters. The story can be read here.

After Kanonno Grassvalley puts a stop to Lazaris' plan that contributed to the Descender's Heroic Sacrifice, Kanonno's troubles are far from over and are just brewing again. When she rejoins the other members of the guild Ad Libitum including Ange Serena, Tears Grants, Marta Lualdi and Cheria Barnes, she later gets lost during the conclusion of their group battle against Lizardmen and Eggbears after trailing away from the path with her other fellow guild members.

What follows next is her getting whisked away from a stray portal that sends her off to another world far beyond her own. Lost and alone, Kanonno is unwillingly transported there with no one but herself... Until she meets Blinx, one of the AWA's members, as well as others in the organization. Now trapped in a completely unknown world, Kanonno must travel from one world to another while meeting with the rest of the All Worlds Alliance to go back to her own world. But little does she know, someone is brewing trouble in there...

All Worlds Alliance Missions - Tales of the World tropes

  • 11th-Hour Ranger: Tohru Adachi and Magatsu-Izanagi, his Persona, joined in with the rest of the heroes in the battle within World Tree during Chapter 9.
  • 11th-Hour Superpower: Kanonno obtains the power of the Excellion Drive in Chapter 9, which gives her a significant combat advantage during her battle with Damascus.
  • Big Bad: Damascus, who turns out to be a member of the Apostles of the New World, is after the World Tree's Core so he can suck its mana out to gain a significant power boost to become a Knight-ranking member of the Apostles. While he finally appears only near the third half of the story (Chapters 7 to 10), he's the mastermind behind the several attacks in various worlds Kanonno and the AWA visited and is ultimately proven to be the real threat once he appears.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Double Subverted. Damascus is a blue-haired character, but his first appearance abundantly makes it clear that he's the real menace. At the end of the story Damascus was arrested by the Plumbers and later redeemed himself, later embodying this trope fully.
  • Canon Immigrant: Excellion Drive, Kanonno's 11th-Hour Superpower, doesn't exist in the original.
  • The Cavalry: The rest of the All Worlds Alliance who were sent there, as well as the members of Ad Libitum, have joined in on stopping Damascus and his army of monsters inside the World Tree.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Tohru Adachi, whose first appearance started off as an extra, joins in on The Cavalry as an 11th-Hour Ranger during the final battle.
  • The Chessmaster: Damascus, in spades. He's entirely responsible for the many monster attacks across many worlds, while using the heat of that said battle to distract the AWA and Kanonno, so he would be able to break into the Holy Country of Randgriz unnoticed and invade the World Tree's Main Core to steal all of its mana.
  • Cool Car: Buggy's own personal blue-and-pink van complete with a Jolly Roger, to which he uses it to travel various worlds.
  • Cosmic Keystone: The World Tree, which is where most of the world's Mana is stored inside its core. Not surprisingly it became the primary target of Lazaris who wanted to revive her former home world and later Damascus who only wants its power for his own agenda.
  • Dimensional Traveler: Kanonno, as part of her goal to go back home after being thrown away from her home universe, by dimension-hopping into various worlds with the AWA's help including Amegakure and Gotham City. With the added difficulty of the Apostles' own minions attacking her and others at every corner.
  • Dramatic Irony: While Kanonno instantly deduces that Tohru is a man with a very questionable past, readers who know about Persona 4 would know that he is an Ax-Crazy psychopath and the game's Big Bad, who is hiding his true nature under the guise of a police detective. It took Kanonno the entire story to finally find out his true nature and his past.
  • The End... Or Is It?: Inverted. The start of the story, which takes place one week after the battle inside World Tree (essentially the end of Radiant Mythology 3's main story), begins with Kanonno joining with the rest of Ad Libitum in various quest jobs. But it is clear that her troubles are far from over for her when she is whisked away to another world from a stray portal, where her new troubles ultimately begin in another world beyond her own.
  • Establishing Series Moment: The fic is this to the whole of All Worlds Alliance series. When the Apostles of the New World firstly appeared, the story makes it abundantly clear that the entire series is about a namesake organization going on missions from other worlds to protect the multiverse from dangerous, global threats.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: When Kanonno talks to Tohru during the final chapter, it is revealed that she actually knows that he is a guilt-ridden person, long before even Rex and Jet told her the full story of what he had done.
  • Fan Sequel: The fanfic takes place one week after Lazaris' defeat in the original Radiant Mythology 3.
  • Five-Second Foreshadowing: In Chapter 7, the mysterious individual appears inside the World Tree before revealing his true identity as Damascus, one of the members of the Apostles of the New World.
  • For the Evulz: When Damascus nonchalantly mocked Kanonno about causing the widespread monster attacks across other worlds in Chapter 8.
Kanonno: Putting aside the promotion thing, why are your organization doing such terrible things in different world!? Don't you know how much damage you caused because of those invasions!?
Damascus: Damages? Pfftt... nothing wrong with that. Were just doing good business, the invasion is actually for a good purpose... for the powerful ones that is.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Tohru Adachi. While he is nowhere from the crazy psychopath he is in Persona 4, his Trollish behaviour in the present is the source of headaches, particularly to Kanonno.
  • History Repeats: The World Tree was under threat by Lazaris, who wanted its mana so she can revive her homeworld Jildea. And then, there's Damascus who also wants to do the same thing as what Lazaris did, albeit for far more nefarious reasons, being that he's only wanting its power to get a promotion.
  • The Homeward Journey: The first half of the story is about Kanonno trying to go back to her original world, Randgriz, after being thrown away through a stray portal. But by the time she did, Damascus has already arrived there unnoticed in his deadly game of pursuing the World Tree's Core, where the latter half of the story focuses on the World Tree.
  • Improperly Paranoid: Chloe and the entire members of Ad Libitum in the first few parts of Chapter 5. When Laxus Dreyar tells the rest of Ad Libitum and Van Grants about Kanonno's situation, Chloe's first response is to distrust Laxus right off the bat and even tried to kill him, despite him having more experience in multiversal matters than her, to which no one can blame for, given that Lazaris is also a Dimensional Traveler. Chloe then loses it and even mistakes him as the Descender when Laxus reveals that he is just an otherworlder, but not before his other companions including Misuzu Kusakabe, Kyo and Melodias joined in to reason with them. To which it finally worked.
  • Infinity +1 Sword: The Excellion Drive is this, where Kanonno is the very first person to obtain it, something that even Van Grants was too surprised, considering the difficulty of getting that said ability. It is due to the fact that: 1) The person has to be absolutely determined against all odds to protect the World Tree and 2) It uses all of the World Tree's Mana, which is risky due to the World Tree's nature as a Cosmic Keystone. It's far more powerful than her original attacks in her arsenal, which shows when Kanonno was able to defeat Damascus with it using its own power.
  • Inspector Javert: The Improperly Paranoid Chloe, in her first interaction with Laxus Dreyar, devolves into this when she "accuses" him of being complicit in Kanonno's disappearance, even going so far in incriminating him, as well as mistaking him as the Descender!
  • In the Hood: The mysterious man who appears inside the World Tree conceals his face when he meets up with Kanonno and the rest of All Worlds Alliance is revealed to be Damascus.
  • It Began with a Twist of Fate: Kanonno meeting Tohru Adachi after her Curb-Stomp Battle in Amegakure against four evolved cockroaches (who turned out to be a group of Terraformars) unwittingly starts off her goal of uncovering who Tohru really is. Understandably at the end of the story Rex and Jet are confused by this idea of her finding him, knowing who the man really is and his long-list of atrocities he committed before his death.
  • The Man Behind the Monsters: Damascus is responsible for the several monster attacks across the worlds Kanonno and the All Worlds Alliance travelled and he's the story's Big Bad.
  • Rank Up: The entire endgame of the story's Big Bad Damascus, so he can use the power of the World Tree's core to become a Knight rank within the Apostles. He even lampshades it.
Kanonno: And what are you trying to gain for taking the World Tree's Mana?
Damascus: Of course! To become stronger, so I can be promoted to the rank Knight at the Apostles of the New World!
  • Red Is Heroic: Her Excellion Drive form gives her a red motif to her clothing.
  • Serial Escalation: While Lazaris' previous threat in RM3 is already at a global, even apocalyptic level, the story ups the stakes when Damascus becomes the threat at a multiversal level, thanks to sending his minions from other worlds. And this is only the first villain in the series.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: The Big Bad's reaction when he sees Kanonno obtaining her Excellion Drive.
Damascus: Hey that's not fair! I'm supposed to absorb this stupid tree's Mana! But noooo, it gave it to you! What's up with that!?
  • Transplant: Kanonno Grassvalley is the only Tales of the World character that is within her home universe. But the other Tales characters including Van and Tears Grants (Abyss), Ange Serena (Innocence), Marta Lualdi (Symphonia), Chloe Valens (Legendia) and Cheria Barnes (Graces) are all characters who have been subsequently a part of the Radiant Mythology world.
  • Wham Episode: While Chapters 1 to 6 focused on Kanonno trying to go back home while dealing with a group of creatures including Terraformars seemingly pesting her and the AWA at any given opportunity, Damascus' appearance in Chapter 7 changes everything when he's the one behind all of the attacks that happened during Kanonno's goals of finding her way back home. And it's clear that he has more sinister plans for the World Tree than what Lazaris would have done, one week ago. Eventually, his appearance is what started the All Worlds Alliance's entire battle against the Apostles in the next few stories.
  • Villainous Valor: During Damascus's battle against Kanonno and Purple Heart, he manages to put the latter out of commission, despite being a literal Goddess.
