    L is Real Luigi

But nobody cared.
"L is Real 2401"

He may appear to be Luigi, but it is actually his soul trapped within the statue, as the real Luigi is still sinking into the endless abyss of the fountain.

Originating from an urban legend surrounding the playability of Luigi in Super Mario 64, he is the opponent for the song "Watery Grave".

  • And I Must Scream: L is Real Luigi is still drowning underneath the courtyard fountain, while his soul is trapped in the fountain statue.
  • Bookends: He starts and ends his song with him singing.
  • Eldritch Location: The oceanic area that's somehow underneath the fountain that Luigi is trapped in, which even has a sunken ship.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: His eyes are obscured by shadows.
  • Sad Battle Music: His song's instrumentation uses the Super Mario 64 soundfont to surprisingly touching effect.
  • Skyward Scream: Before the transition in "Watery Grave", he screams Mario's name.
  • Token Good Teammate: He and his song are more tragic than outright terrifying, and the only action he takes against Boyfriend is, late into the song, simply taking him into what amounts to his prison. He is also the only opponent in the mod who has the original Friday Night Funkin's Game Over sequence, where Boyfriend just blue-balls.
    Wario Apparition

It's not real.
"You want fun? Wario show you fun!"

A giant spectre of Wario's head who roams the castle walls, searching for its next victim.

Appears as the opponent in "Funhouse".

  • Eyes Out of Sight: Initially the only subversion out of the opponents in the main week at first, until the halfway point of "Funhouse", where this gets double-subverted, and his eyes are hidden for the remainder of the song.
  • Flying Face: The Apparition is a giant floating Wario head.
  • Slasher Smile: The Wario Apparition flashes one hell of a murderous smile, made all the creepier in the second half of his song when his eyes are nothing but darkness.
  • Turns Red: Upon reaching the halfway point of "Funhouse", the screen goes black and after a few seconds, Wario says the iconic line above, his eyes change to Black Eyes of Evil, and the rest of the song gets more hectic.
    C-N64/Personalized Mario

"GAME OVER."
"Super Mario 64 is, at its core, an insidious and evil work of human creation."

A fragment of the personalization AI taken form.

He is the final opponent you face in the main week, and the opponent you face in "Your Copy".

  • Body Horror: Zig-zagged, as Personalized Mario's upper body is stained with black goop, and his neck is exposed by his up move to be nothing but a cluster of red and black spheres. Once the Art Shift in his song occurs, though, his exposed neck from his up move doesn't carry over into it.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: Downplayed, as the only time his eyes are seen is when he at one point stares at the fourth wall and creepily and slowly exclaims "Game Over".
  • Monster Mouth: In every one of his moves except down, his jaw stretches wide open, exposing some gums and crooked yellow teeth.
  • Original Generation: While he does take some inspiration from Stanley, the two are not the same character.
  • Scary Teeth: His poses show that inside his mouth, he has uneven yellow teeth.
  • Tombstone Teeth: His teeth are shaped like rectangles.
  • Vocal Evolution: His voice changes twice throughout his song at roughly 2 minute intervals.

    Gilbert

Your door is unlocked.

A dark version of Mario with a somewhat... uncanny appearance.

He's the opponent you face during "Shrouded".

  • Bathos: Despite being based on a memetic image and having an average name, his uncanny nature is played very seriously.
  • Creepy Shadowed Undereyes: Gilbert's eyes have black encirclements.
  • The Darkness Gazes Back: His eyes are among his most visible body parts in the darkness, and it's unnerving to say the least.
  • Evil Is Not Well-Lit: Gilbert's face is framed in the shadows, and he's fought in near-complete darkness.
  • Face Framed in Shadow: Half of Gilbert's face is enshadowed, except for his eyes.
  • Grayscale of Evil: Gilbert is colored in a palette of harshly contrasting blacks and whites. The note chart and health bars are also colored in grayscale to reflect this.
  • Idle Animation: Averted, as when he's not doing any moves, he just stands there. Staring at you.
  • P.O.V. Cam: His song is from Boyfriend's first-person perspective.
  • Tom the Dark Lord: A terrifying, realistic version of Mario is pretty scary, but the fact that he's named Gilbert takes away from the scariness factor a little bit.
    Speedrunner Mario
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fnfcspeedrunmariostaticidle.png
"YAHOO!"

An incarnation of Mario known for his ridiculous speedrunning tactics.

He is the opponent of the song "Scuttlebug".

  • Black Bead Eyes: His eyes are simple black dots, a common trait for characters from his home series.
  • Denser and Wackier: Speedrunner Mario is a goofy, if not chaotic, breath of fresh air from the many other creepypasta characters featured here.
  • Sensory Abuse: Various parts of "Scuttlebug" will have the screen rapidly flash in a rainbow of colors, with the song featuring an epilepsy warning before starting. The flashing can be disabled by turning off the shaders in the Options menu.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: His losing icon is a stock image of an explosion, and losing will cause BF to explode.

"Everything is better off without you."
"There's no exit, nor a way to hide. My power over you will increase. With you gone, we shall find... PEACE."

A mysterious entity that appears to be a heavily glitched version of Mario.

Appears as the opponent in "Better Off".
