Awesome Punch!
Hamster & Gretel is created by one of the co-creators of Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law, so you know it has plenty of awesome moments.

Season 1

Empower Failure
  • Hamster and Gretel's kitten rescue mission has put them on the map very quickly. They already get booked with a Q&A session at the Dream Mall only about half an hour after rescuing the cat, and T-shirt merchandise has also been produced within that timeframe. You know you've made it when you already get that famous this early.
  • Fred's little gambit to set Kevin and Hiromi on a date to the Duck Boyz concert. Kevin is still flabbergasted.
  • Kevin, the superpower-less nobody that gets overshadowed by his little sister and her pet hamster, proves that he's a worthwhile member on the team when Hamster and Gretel get trapped in Professor Exclamation's impenetrable cage. Noticing that everyone in the city is watching the Duck Boyz concert, he decides to go to the concert live and make an announcement for those watching TV to use all their electric appliances and overload the grid. It works, causing a blackout, and since Exclamation has stated that the trap draws power from the city's power grid, that shuts off as well during the blackout, effectively freeing Hamster and Gretel.

Math Punch

  • Despite absolutely despising math, Gretel decides to use math to determine how fast she needs to fly to catch up to the train with Kevin and Rodney Thunderpants on it before it falls into the abyss.

Superhero Sibling Rivalry

  • When FistPuncher and The Destructress have Hamster and Gretel trapped under 200 tons of shipyard junk, Kevin speeds to the dock and attempts to rescue her. How will he do that against two supervillains nearly as powerful as his sister and pet hamster? Noticing the fighting between the two evil siblings, Kevin decides to host an impromptu game show to test which of the two is the strongest by how much they can lift... in other words, tricking the two into freeing Hamster and Gretel by removing all the junk that holds them down!

Close Shave

  • In spite of the rather ridiculous revelation that both Gretels are right-handed, Van Dyke still manages to be one of the few villains to realize that Gretel Grant-Gomez and superhero Gretel are the same person. And much quicker than recurring villains like Professor Exclamation, too!
  • Fred manages to defeat Van Dyke possessing Kevin by using hair removal spray. With quite the Pre-Asskicking One-Liner, as well:
Van Dyke: If you or your rodent try to do anything stupid, your brother is minced meat!
Fred: Okay, boomer. No one says "minced meat" anymore.

Cheer Cheer Bang Bang

  • For a nerdy, socially distant person, Fred is incredibly athletic. When training for cheerleading auditions, she performs four somersault flips and ends in a perfect split. She almost went to state in a gymnastics competition three years prior, so she must've been pretty rusty, which makes the flawless performance even more impressive.
    • Her gymnastic athleticism are upped to levels of ridiculum during the audition: she performs multiple somersaults and stays midair for at least a solid 30 seconds (to the point that Kevin has to check his watch, study a book on physics, and consult a professor in physics), before landing in a perfect split and forcing a smile.
      • She performs this stunt again at the end of the episode, when having to catch up to Coach Haggerty, although this time landing on her two feet in front of her.

La Ballad of La Cebolla

Saturday Homecoming Fever

  • FistPuncher and The Destructress have invaded the high school homecoming dance, so Kevin needs to stall them before Hamster and Gretel arrive. So Kevin goes straight to them and challenges the siblings to a dance battle, with Hiromi joining in as Kevin's dance partner. And they're actually doing great: Kevin and Hiromi have both studied the very same online Disco Dancing Demo in preparation for the disco-themed school dance, allowing the two to be in sync with ease, something which FistPuncher and The Destructress clearly don't have.
    • Kevin challenging the two supervillains may have caused the school to look up to Kevin more. He initially went to the dance to rebrand himself and get rid of the "Minivan Kid" name that fellow students have been calling him condescendingly. They still call him "Minivan Kid" in the end, but the meaning has changed to something out of respect, rather than out of mockery.

The Opposite of Smart

  • Kevin’s video manages to become viral overnight and has gotten the attention of sponsors.

I'm Bored

  • Hamster singlehandedly defeats about 50 cyborg rats that the X-Terminator has sicced on him while stuck inside the motorcross cage, at least enough to spell out "I 🩷 RATS" with said rats between the cagebars. All accompanied with a banging soundtrack.
  • Kevin and Hamster show good teamwork when the latter is fighting the Pi-Rat in the motorcross cage: seeing that the Pi-Rat's lasers can cut the cable wires holding the cage in place, Kevin points to where Hamster should try to get Pi-Rat to fire, causing the latter to cut nearly all the cable wires. With two wires left, Kevin then tells Hamster to run, as Hamster does so, causing Pi-Rat to lose balance, the remaining wires to break, and after chasing Kevin and the X-Terminator out of the building, Hamster to break out of the cage as it gets sent airborne.

Cutie and the Beast

  • While Armor Suit Guy may be just an impractical superhero wannabe persona for Kevin, he did manage to cover the Giant Otter with a tapestry using his grappling hook (while stuck in the otter's clutches!), allowing Hamster and Gretel to incapacitate it without distractions.

The Nightmarionette

  • Using immersion therapy, Gretel conquers her fear of toaster-scorpions, allowing her to combat the Nightmarionette with ease... until he looks deeper into her conscience and summons a projection of a blender-lobster.

Abuelita's World

  • Gretel and Hamster working together to save Abuelita Gomez and stopping Bob Enfantiberg from causing trouble.
    • Abuelita Gomez deserves an Awesome Moment too. She didn't have powers, but she stood up to Enfantiberg for causing havoc without hesitating.
  • Gretel and Hamster revealing their secret identity in front of their Abuelita to stop the Action News van from crushing her and Kevin.

U.F. UH-OH!

Sleepover with the Enemy

  • Gretel's fight against Tina was particularly tense: her giving chase to the Bolgylvanian moving truck while Hamster takes care of fighting Gerbil, then getting crushed between the truck and a tunnel wall (leaving A Bloody Mess... or rather leaving a mess filled with ketchup) and facing Tina herself, who appears to be evenly matched thanks to her Bolgylvanian weaponry. Given that Tina and her lackeys are kidnapping Gretel's best friend Bailey and her dad Roman, not to mention that Tina had Bailey's attention all day, it's not surprising why Gretel is completely serious here.

Friday Night Fright

  • When landing on the Truth or Dare space at the game night, Gretel has to truthfully answer what the last lie she told her mom was. Gretel says she would never lie to her mom... only to tell that was the last lie she told. Quite the clever and hilarious loophole: given the rather smug scene transition that follows, you can tell Gretel was particularly proud of that one.
  • Hiromi has been captured by the two hostile animatronics, and is tied up and dangling above the toilet robot, about to be "flushed down" and chopped to pieces by razor sharp blades within the toilet. In order to save Hiromi, Fred has to activate the sprinkler system in order to short-circuit the robots. Problem is, the robots have ripped the handle off and destroyed it, and the only other valve to activate the sprinklers is nearly unreachable. As such, Fred shows her great athleticism again while dodging plungers launched by the plumber animatronic, using said plungers to her advantage and reach the valve, activating the sprinklers and freeing Hiromi.

The Earworm

  • How does the Earworm have Hamster and Gretel fully under his control? As stated in his super long backstory, he was a hair stylist at a talk show episode that featured Hamster and Gretel, retrieving their DNA from their cut hair. From there, he thoroughly researched which specific frequencies their DNA reacts to, while also studying to be a jingle writer and graduating cum laude, and then composing a jingle to Taco Crunchies with hypnotic undertones that only affect Hamster and Gretel. And all of that in the span of a couple months! Dude's multitalened. Which is justified as he comes from a family of overachievers.

A Mammoth Problem

  • Since Nordle tags along with her to get his laser from the Mammoth, Gretel manages to trap the Mammoth without powers.
The Bantam of the Elementary School Light Opera
  • Gretel and Christine DePoulet overcome their fears of the stage together by finally partaking the role of the Viking Queen and ending The Vikings of Venzance play successfully. This was so great, that the govenor, who had previously requested to cut the school's art budget, now demands increasing it.

Hamnesia

  • In this episode, we learn that Hamster is not only a pianist that frequents a jazz club several times a week, but also a talented artist who has an exclusive exposition for his paintings at a gallery. With a high price range, no less.
  • The Imposter's very elaborate scheme, and the reveal that everything, from Record Scratch's attack to Hamster losing his memory and being taken care of by Billy, was all part of it. Record Scratch and Billy were him in disguise the whole time: as the former, the Imposter deliberately threw the tractor-truck at him, having researched beforehand that the hit would give Hamster amnesia; as the latter, he would gain trust from the amnesiac rodent and goad him into doing a couple specific things that would eventually allow the Imposter to steal an experimental flying tank prototype, his true goal.

Romancing the Scone

  • Nordle decides to reject his dad Professor Exclamation's request to eat the evil-induced scone and opts to destroy it instead, despite his father's prior goading.

For Whom the Belle Trolls

  • This episode has a villainous one for Belle. She has no powers, no special gear, and only has her phone, social media influence, and footage-editing skills, yet she had Hamster and Gretel on the ropes for most of the episode. It gets to a point where they were flat out ready to turn themselves in after she hits them with an uncounterable argument.
  • Even though Kevin's methods didn't work while Bailey and Fred were hacking into Belle's account, at least he tried to help Gretel come clean about the videos and prove Belle was lying.

An Arthouse Divided

  • Remembering that he's still covered in imitation butter, Kevin asks Gretel to use heat vision warm enough to melt butter, freeing the two of them from the binding film tape Arthouse has trapped them in. This in turn allows Kevin to take Arthouse's remote and free all the trapped patrons in the theater.
    • In response, Arthouse activates the self-destruct sequence on his super projector. This is followed by Gretel taking the projector far away, while Kevin latches onto Arthouse as he attempts to escape via grappling hook.
      • Surrounded by angry patrons, Arthouse then threatens to destroy the theater's only copy of the Larry the Magic Boy movie if they come any closer. This causes Hamster to spring into action and punch Arthouse, who drops the copy in the process. After Kevin attempts to save it, Hiromi slides by to catch the falling tape.

The Litigator vs. The Luchador

  • The reason why Aunt Melissa had to leave her sister Carolina so suddenly is because in secret, she's actually a pro wrestler. She's renowned under the PLOW community as everyone's new favorite superstar under the alias of The Litigator (a reference to her previous job as a lawyer), which is fair considering she's a contender at the PLOW Tag Team Championship match in the same episode.
  • After Carolina straightens her arm, The Litigator teams up with The Bearded Stranger (Gretel in disguise) to take down El Luchador in proper tag-team style... with lots of furniture smashing on Gretel's part.
  • Carolina straightening Melissa's injured arm is quite an awesome feat in itself. Melissa had fallen victim to El Luchador's Acute Angle Tangle, in which El Luchador bends the arm in a 42° angle, rendering it unusable and the victim in pain. The episode has established many times earlier that anyone that has fallen victim to it needs serious medical treatment stat, with victims being carried to the hospital on stretchers and gurneys. And Carolina just heals Melissa on the spot within seconds. Justified, as she's a nurse, but still.

Strawberry Fest Forever

  • Jeff Strawberry is celebrated for his recklessness and determination as a stunt performer in the past, the supposed reason why Strawberry Festival even exists. He's somewhat like Evel Knievel mixed with Chuck Norris.
  • The entire Strawberry Festival has lots of epic and crazy rides, some of them may be dangerous, but the designs are awesome to look at.
  • Just like in the previous episode, Carolina proves that nurses are badass too. When a random patron is choking on a strawberry (and Gretel has no idea how to save him), Carolina springs into action and performs a Heimlich to dislodge the strawberry out of his throat. The dislodged strawberry unfortunately is launched into another visitor's throat, but Carolina breaks no sweat to perform a Heimlich on her as well, as the strawberry is lodged into another throat. This happens several more times until the strawberry then lands in the throat of Jeff Strawberry himself, as Carolina then commands everyone to keep their mouths closed while she performs the Heimlich on him, causing the strawberry to be shot in the bullseye of a shooting gallery target. Gretel is greatly impressed.
Gretel: That was the coolest thing I have ever seen in all of my life.

The Bottle Episode

  • At first, it seems that Fred has gotten the Idiot Ball and not realize that Tchotchke Jones had shrunken Kevin, Gretel and Hamster in a bottle along with The Muddy Bess as she leaves his shop... only to then reappear right behind him as she reveals she was Obfuscating Stupidity the whole time, noting the three clues that led her to believe that Tchotchke was the one who shrunk them (and no, the mask was not one of them):
    1. When first entering the shop, Fred immediately noticed a half-eaten bag of rodent's choice walnuts in the trash bin.
    2. When examining the Tallington Tower bottle, Fred noticed fresh fingerprints, despite Tchotchke wearing gloves.
    3. Lastly, Fred noticed a specific mansanite pen, with chewing marks on its titanium body. Not only would only someone like Gretel be able to chew through titanium, but Fred recognized the pen itself as a gift she gave Gretel for her birthday.

Self-HEELP!

  • Fred manages to talk Charlie out of his ridiculous dream of flying with wings on his butt after the latter riled up flocks of geese at the community center

The Bitter Sitter

  • Bailey, a regular little girl, deciding to stand up against FistPuncher and stop him from destroying the Hamster & Gretel People Pops. It's also heartwarming as, despite currently being upset at her bestie for not sharing her Secret Identity with her, she's still very loyal to her and Hamster and will always defend them.
Bailey: You are not gonna destroy those molds! Hamster and Gretel are my favorite superheroes! (throws a book at between his legs, causing him to trip and drop the molds before she snatches them and runs back to the factory)
  • Lauren saving Bailey from her brother Lyle by shoving him into the freezer before he could hurt her and before Hamster and Gretel could get their hands on him.

Let’s Sea What You Got

  • Bailey defending herself from the sea urchins using her book as a shield, followed by Gretel saving her from falling.

No Sprain, No Gain

  • Kevin battles Itsy Bitsy using Pinky, a unicorn-themed knee scooter with nothing but a lemonade-filled water gun, flashlight, and "Pore Blocker 4000," with only minimum help from the duo, which the two initially unable to fight, shows that even they need Kevin more seriously.
    • Even more awesome, because he is handicapped with a sprained leg, and has some scooter tricks that he was able to overcome his embarassment with his scooter.

Shush Hour

  • This episode is nothing short of awesome and it belongs to Kevin. He not only battles the titular villain of the week, but manages to figure out a way to destroy her device, all while he was silenced by her Shush-Inator. This act shows that just because he doesn't have any powers, doesn't mean he can't be useful in a fight.

Exclamation Strikes Back

  • Kevin taking down Professor Exclamation's gigantic robot suit (made from Unbendium) by destroying its power source, the weird glowing rock that has drained Hamster and Gretel from their superpowers, with the Key to the City (also made from Unbendium) while doing it to protect his sister as promised.
    • Keep in mind that he does this by launching himself from a makeshift rocket and a swingset in order to reach his target in the first place. Since Kevin doesn't have superpowers, he could've easily died from this stunt if it failed. Yet he foregoes his own safety anyway, to ensure that of his sister.
